i鈥檓 feeling weirdly heartbroken over shucked closing tomorrow
#maybe it鈥檚 that it鈥檚 late & i鈥檝e not yet taken my meds#but i am so sad that shucked is closing tomorrow#i love this corny little musical and it was an honor to get to see it twice#but it was just such a joy & im gonna miss it#broadway truly was better because of shucked & its cast#and i鈥檓 just gonna miss it i guess#at least i may get to see it in london next year#i really hope that works out#anyway#shucked i love you & thank you for making me face my fears/showing me how brave i can be/bringing so much joy to my life#corn & love (in song form) 馃尳#not kpop

shucked is just so cool 馃尳
#who woulda thought a musical about corn & love would work so well#like it鈥檚 got a fantastic score#and the characters make you love them (even if you get frustrated with them sometimes)#and the story teaches you how similar we all truly are and that even if people are different on the surface we鈥檙e all a lot more connected+#than you might initially think & to give people a proper chance before making a decision about them#& it鈥檚 got barrel surfing#barrel. surfing.#like how innovative!!#best man wins is one of my favorite theatre songs sonically but also especially when it鈥檚 performed#i鈥檝e seen 3 plays/musicals since and best man wins still sticks out to me as a genuinely fantastic performance#go see (or at least listen to) shucked if you can#i promise it鈥檒l be worth your time#not kpop#theatre 馃幁#corn & love (in song form) 馃尳

tomorrow (now today ig) i鈥檓 going to a broadway roulette show & while i鈥檝e already seen shucked, there is absolutely no piece of me that would be at all upset if i got to see it again.

yesterday was one of the best days of my life and i am beyond euphoric that it happened
#yesterday i got to go to nyc by myself & see shucked & sweeney todd on the same day#it鈥檚 the first time i ever went to nyc by myself#it was my first 2 show day#& sweeney was my first sondheim show#shucked made me happier than probably any musical i have ever seen#and sweeney left me with a feeling that i can鈥檛 even describe but is one of the reasons why it鈥檚 the best musical i鈥檝e ever seen#i am so thankful to myself for getting me the tickets & being brave enough to go to the city by myself#i will absolutely be seeing more musicals by myself#and idc if it鈥檚 my last show of the year i will see sweeney todd at least twice more#they were both such impeccable shows#but there was just something so special about sweeney todd#anyway yeah#yesterday was the best day of my life and i鈥檓 very glad it happened#not kpop#corn & love (in song form) 馃尳#bloody barber boy 馃敧鉂わ笍#theatre 馃幁
