#who woulda thought a musical about corn & love would work so well#like it’s got a fantastic score#and the characters make you love them (even if you get frustrated with them sometimes)#and the story teaches you how similar we all truly are and that even if people are different on the surface we’re all a lot more connected+#than you might initially think & to give people a proper chance before making a decision about them#& it’s got barrel surfing#barrel. surfing.#like how innovative!!#best man wins is one of my favorite theatre songs sonically but also especially when it’s performed#i’ve seen 3 plays/musicals since and best man wins still sticks out to me as a genuinely fantastic performance#go see (or at least listen to) shucked if you can#i promise it’ll be worth your time#not kpop#theatre 🎭#corn & love (in song form) 🌽
