This is also my first foray into cording! Which I just zigzag stitched over. It's not pretty but I tried smth new :)

Can I use unfinished handspun or should I steam set the twist before hand?

need a break from the wedding dress and things so decided to try making a little bag with oak leaves and acorns. This will be the drawstring cord for it- a flat lucet cord! I picked this fork up years ago as a kid at a colonial history event and haven’t done much with it, but it’s super fun. The yarn is just K+C essential cotton (in sequoia and golden coast). I might also weave a …takadai(?) type plaid braid with these two and grey or cream as a bag strap or if I don’t like the way this cord looks with it. I don’t know, I’m just suddenly overcome with lust for weaving, you know how it goes lol

I finished a pillow yesterday!

Worked on it on and off for like 2 years, but it came out well. It has some flaws in the cording, but then again, for a first time cording project, I am happy with how it turned out. I have 3 more pillows in this set, who knows when i will finish them all, but regardless, I am happy with my fuzzy pillows.

I had run out of fabric and had already cut the front so I wasn't sure how to proceed, but i had just barely enough overlap to do this technique, so I did, and this is how it turned out.
