James Herondale is the most boring character in the entire TSC series I'm sorry I did not enjoy reading his parts and his relationship with Cordeila was so frustrating and annoying to read.

People have DEPTH and are MULTIFACETED i love them both for VERY DIFFERENT REASONS

They are both really cool strong Woman who are underdogs and care so much for their friends and family. They work hard are gorgeous and have REALLY COOL SWORDS.

Like yes, Nesta is alot more brash where Cordelia is very prim and niave. But like ???? Gaf (dgaf). They also have lived very different lives!

I think cordelia would recognise Alastair in Nesta if she met her. Both Al and Nes being really kind hearted people who due to their trauma have built walls and created harsh cold personas to protect them selves and their loved ones.

I love Nesta because she is unapologetically herself. She is unique and strong. She carves her own destiny. She is sexy and owns it. She loves HARD. Shes and underdog. Shes complex. Shes incredibly powerfull. She taught me the power of silence. Shes a book lover. Shes a hopeless romantic. She stands her ground. She loves music. She knows how to manipulate people, to intimidate, and throws off the most powerful of men.

Cordelia I love because of how she sees the world. I live how hard she tries. I love how selfless she is. I love how comited and tenacious she is. I love how she loves her friends. I love how she wants the best for others and looks out for others. I love her relationship with Cortana and being a shadowhunter and how BADASS SHE IS!! Shes an incredibly fighter! I love how far shell go for her friends. Shes also sexy af.

They BOTH dont fit other peoples mold, they are “outsiders” and underdogs who are worth so much more than they know. They are strong. They are talented. They are sexy. They have cool swords. The love hard and fight harder.

Cordelia is the rebel in me who loves that she lives in victorian england and is a badass.

Nesta is the part of me who feels misunderstood, snaps at people when we feel threatened, and want to be loved. We read romance and are strong and are physically active.

Cordelia is a tlh Character I fell in love with like I did with Emma Carstairs, and caused me to start this account and to enter the fandom. Nesta is a character I related too, saw myself in a rooted/root for. They dont have to like each other. They are both aspects of myself.

Grace and Jesse Spoliers

Cassandra Clare released us a very large sneak peek of COI “like almost a whole chapters worth” surrounding the TLH Blackthorns: Grace, Jesse, and Tatiana. Honestly tea spilling over these three and their dynamic is one of the things I am most excited for about Chain of Iron, (also I really like Lucie x Jesse. Jesse is rapidly moving up as a favorite character) and I am already readying a nice rent free apartment complex for them (at least for Jesse an Grace) in my mind. So I was very interested in the excerpt and a few things jumped out at me.

Grace

Grace was 7 when her parents died. I feel CC has changed that age before, like wasn’t it 10 at first? Then 8? But now she seems to have settled on making Grace 7.

Grace’s birth Parents did her first rune ceromoney with her before they died. HOW IN THE WORLD WAS A 7 YEAR OLD RUNED!?!?!? Shadowhunters get their first runes between 10 and 12 depending on how much training they have had. Getting them any younger has the potiental to cause serious harm. Was Grace once some total Prodigy who got her runes 3 years early because she was just that ready? FYI I am pretty sure I CC wrote an extra once where Jace says he got his around 9 and it still broke his arm. Or, where Grace’s biological parents bad parents too, and the runed her so young without caring about what it could do to her?

It was tragic to read about Grace’s first interactions with Tatiana. How she felt sympathy for how lonely she had been and wanted badly to love her, but eventually learned, through hystrics and abuse, that Tatiana had no intrest in anything except Grace’s loyalty. Brings me back to the Cartwright motto “Loyalty Binds”

I also find it intresting that one of the few things Grace remembers abotu her old life is that her family lived in a small house and weren’t considered that important. This lines up pretty well with Estella who was the child of a conman and a gypsy women, married only by common law. In Great Expectations Estella’s parents don’t die, they just get in some trouble with the law and lose her. Her father actually still loves her very much and wishes he could have raised her. Pip befriends Estella’s father, but is very reluctent to mention Estella to him as he belives she is better off with the more wealthy and socially higher up Miss. Havisham. I am seeing more posibility that the remaining Cartwrights could, like Estella’s father, still care about her and mayby, unlike Estella, she can be reunited with them.

I also am banking more on my theory that Tatiana once gave Grace her own “chain of Iron/Gracelet” and that is what is messing with her memories and compeling her to do her mothers biding. Like people have said Grace’s reasoings in the exert sound very similar to James’s whenever he thinks of Grace.

Jesse

Yeah I had called that he had to have been a great big brother based on hw much she cares about him. I also had theories that he had helped her gather flowers and read to her.

I did not theorize that he liked philosophy, or that he had taught her french. Jesse is very smartas well as a sweet heart.

Also we now have confirmation that Grace has training. The person who trained her was Jesse, after secretly training himself underneath Tatiana’s nose for many years. WOW.

That brings me to one more thing I noiced. Throughout the whole recount their is never anything to sugest Jesse is anything other than Healthy and Strong. The whole story is about Jesse taking care of Grace: Jesse playing with Grace, Jesse teaching her to fight, Jesse putting Grace to bed at night and reading to her in her room. There is no mention of Jesse having bouts of fever, or periods of time he feels weak. Grace never has to spend days sitting by his bedside. She never worries that training may over excert him. Was Jesse ever actually sick? We know Tatiana made up several false stories surrounding her familys life. Was her son’s poor health one of them?

IF so why did he die the night of his first rune ceromoney. I have heard theories that, because hse had the locket ready, Tatiana knew that he would die, and may have infact been responsible for his death That she sacrificed Jesse as part of some deal she had with Belial. I did not wnt to believe that Theory. I wanted to believe that she really did love Jesse to much to do something like that. That maybe with his supossed “ill health” she was afraid of losing him soon and had already been looking into ways to prolong his life, hence the aquirment of the lockate. But I do not know anymore. We know the story she told Magnuson how he died was a lie. If his health issues were too... What’s the truth?

When you read Chain of Gold and realize Cassandra Clare has done it again and sucked you up in another story with amazing characters and now all u have to do is wait for the next book😭

Matthew or Kit dying: nah i dont reckon, not matthew not a parabatai nah i dont think so. And having a man loved by all end up being out casted makes more sense and like i say below, marks stripped sadly makes sense. Also i dont think it will be Kit cuz Kit and Henry are already outsiders so i HIGHLY doubt they would be killed. I would say thomas but thats too much like Livvy, the sensible one who helps the outcast smart different one. Honeslty i love alastair but I think hes gonna die. Still unsure about how we get the carstairs owe the herondales tho so hmmmmm idk. Definitely think we will fond out abt carstairs owe the herondales by the end of tlh

Vampire Matthew: okay i dont think so cuz yeah i guess weve only had contact with NYC vamps but i feel like if he was a vamp we should of had some foreshadowing from other books, would be weird for him to jump in in twp after not being in tmi tda tbc tgosm or ttosa. As much as i hate it marks stripped seems pretty likely at this poing cuz theres no love interest for him :(

ETA: the new tungle jungle update killed list formatting so all my bullet points are now below each other instead of having sub points but its Fine, i’m FINE, u just have to read over it i guess, let’s get to it

let’s start out with some reasons why matthew is extremely unlikely to die (spoiler warning for chog and tid!!!)

plot protection! matthew is more plot protected than.. literally anyone imo. the storyline of his secret and his romance with cordelia are two reasons he’s very unlikely to die because there’s too much to be resolved. killing him off would mean leaving those plotlines entirely unresolved.

similarly, matthews deep mental health issues funnily enough protect him from dying. cc never kills off characters who are struggling with themselves. (jessamine is the exception to this, more on that later)

same goes for the fact that matthew is bi- lgbt characters generally don’t die* in cc’s writing. she avoids the kill your gays trope like hell which, tbh, good for us???

not as stong of an argument, but it would make tlh too similar to tid- killing off the herondale’s parabatai who’s also interested in the main girl? yeah. i know cassie recently spoke about how she doesn’t really care for comparisons between tlh and tid, but i feel like this would be pushing it.

but then again, there’s a Lot of reasons why matthew might be dead as hell by the end of coi i’m sorry

most of all, book two madness! shit always goes down in the second book. cassie has also hinted at Shit Going Down in coi, and considering a lightwood already died in chog, i wouldnt be surprised if a main dies

“But Victoria Why On Earth Would That Be Matthew” well! because literally everybody else Cannot die:

it won’t be anna, alastair or thomas bc of said avoidance of kill your gays (And they still need to kiss kiss fall in love); grace, lucie, james and cordelia are simply too important to the plot for cc to kill them; and jesse’s... already dead idk what to tell u

i’m aware this leaves out christopher too, but tbh? i wouldn’t be too surprised if he dies. the only thing saving him rn are that he still has to marry grace if we’re following the family tree and that he has to invent fire messages but....... those are attainable goals for a single book imo (unlike matthew sorting out his Stuff) so... Perhaps it’s gonna be kit but thats a whole nother post

yeah i know i also just listed a bunch of reasons why matthew wont die but bear w me

so why matthew? because, plot-wise, there’s advantages to him dying, that other characters’ deaths wouldn’t have:

it would solve the love triangle. as a fairstairs it pains me to say this but it’s fairly straightforward: matthew dies, the gracelet is destroyed, jordelia lives happily ever after. we know jordelia will probably be endgame, so.. yeah.

on that same note: matthew doesn’t have a love interest besides cordelia. we know we won’t be seeing the tlh characters in another series, so everybody that lives has to get their happily ever after, which in cc’s case means being happily married. if i recall correctly, the only main characters that have ever ended up single at the end of their books were tda characters that we know we will see again in twp.

he isn’t on the family tree. we know for a fact that we can’t trust the family tree, but i think it’s unlikely for cc to just... ignore something as big as that.

but vic, wouldn’t a dead person be on the family tree? good question! that leaves us with our third option: matthew dies, but doesn’t die, aka downworlder/disowned matthew

basically, the whole idea is that matthew either becomes a downworlder and loses contact w the gang, or he gets stripped of his runes/disowned for what he did to charlotte

it would be a way for him to distance himself from the shadowhunters without actually dying- so it would create none of the ethical issues that come w dying (such as kill your gays) but it would distance him from the shadowhunters enough to let jordelia do their funky business.

matthew being stripped of his runes would explain why he isn’t on the family tree too, bc we know shadowhunters that were stripped of their runes aren’t allowed to have contact w their family.

i’ve talked about vampire matthew before but basically: there’s some hints at matthew staying young forever in chog, and him dying but becoming immortal instead would basically be pulling a jessamine. he dies, but doesn’t die.

becoming a vampire would also give us the Drama™ of his death scene, mayhaps some dramatic confessions, plus it would give him literal eternity to sort out his alcoholism/underlying issues (though i think that will be sorted out by the end of cot)

this also fixes the lack of love interest: if he’s immortal, that means we will probably see him again (maybe in twp/tec?) (with a hot vampire bf/gf, of course)

the only argument against this is again, that it would be too similar to tid, which we know cassie might be avoiding.

also perhaps that ppl might see it as as a way to execute the kill your gays trope without actually doing it, but then again, she sent haline to wranger island Just Like That so,,.,. she doesn’t seem to have any problems w that :^)

basically, i have no idea what’s gonna happen to matthew. i think downworlder matthew makes a Lot of sense, but at the same time it’s a bit of reach imo. if anything, i think it might make too much sense. (i had theories for tda that made a lot more sense than giant naked angels but We Got That Too, didn’t we!)

knowing cc’s writing, i think Matthew Suffers, But Somehow Lives is probably the route she will take. i just have no idea how it will be executed.

tl;dr: matthew’s death would be very convenient for some parts of the plot, but it would create a lot of issues with other parts of it. because of this, i think cc might take some sort of dying-but-not-really middle route.

* generally, because there’s a few exceptions: michael is bi but started out dead, which doesn’t count as killing people off imo. the faerie characters that died could be considered lgbt because technically all faeries are bi/pan, but none of the faeries that died ever had a same-sex romance. the aro/ace character that died in tmi is the only one i can think of, but he wasn’t explicitly aro-ace on page until the novellas that followed after tmi. matthew is very explicitly bisexual and has always been very explicitly bisexual.

I have been obsessed for DAYS!!! TLH!!! MORE THEORIES! 💗💗💗💗

For the last week or so, ive had The Last Hours on the brain. I think i may be more excited for Chain of Gold to hit the book shelves than i was for the birth of my first nephew. Im not even sure if im kidding or not.

Well if you knew him you would understand, hes terrible, anyways, ive been theorizing along with my bestie and have come up with some pretty cool theories

So here we go! Before i get started i must warn you there are #MAJORSPOILERS for Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy, The Bane Chronicles, Ghosts of the Shadowhunter Market, and other TSC books. Okay lets begin.

Theories

One: Grace Blackthorn

There is alot of speculation about Grace Blackthorn. Her last name, the one she is given at birth is Cartwright. James Herondale knew her when she was in Idris. In TftSA he speaks of her and the year is 1899 at the age of 13. He says shes in need of rescuing.

He says she has no other friends, my theory starts there.

I believe thats where Tatiana comes in to play. She is devoted to Tatiana because Tatiana is her saviour. I believe Grace is part fae and that she isnt just any fae, shes part siren which explains the allure she holds over James. She has to be something other than an ordinary shadowhunter because the comments Tatiana Blackthorn made about her in The Bane Chronicles and James' reaction to her when hes older is just crazy. Then of course her cruel words " there nothing i cant make you do" hmmm... interesting

Two: Jordelia Heronstairs marriage

I adore this marriage. I hope these two end up happy and i really hope our little Jamie doesnt end up heartbroken and stuck in a loveless marriage but from what we know so far, hes madly in love with Grace Blackthorn (which i suspect isnt all his doing) Moving on...

I believe their marriage is the arranged marriage that Cassie spoke of. I think that it has to do with saving Cordeila herself and not just the name. We know according to Cassie Cordelia and James marry at the end of TLH 1 and i assume alot after their marriage is crazy complicated. We know already Cordelia cares deeply for James but will he reciprocate those feelings eventually? who knows.

I think they marry because of how severe her fathers crimes were. They were said to be worse than Tobias Herondales and comparing the two makes me believe that the punishment will be as cruel or worse. It makes me think that the Clave will intend to strip Cordeila and Alistair as punishment for Elias's crimes, that or execute them. My theory is that Will and Tessa and Jem along with everyone involved in helping come together and decide that James should marry Cordelia because it will save her life. She would no longer be a Carstairs and the Clave wouldnt touch her.

Three: Lucie Herondale

Now this is a theory i have had for a while. A long while actually. People have speculated about Lucie's powers and i believe i have an idea of what she can do. Lucie has been extremely curious about Jesse Blackthorn for ages. She was lost in the forest in Idris as a child and someone helped her find her way home. I believe this was Jesse Blackthorn. We all know Herondales can see ghosts, my theory is that Lucie can actually make physical contact with ghosts. In TLH its why shes so freaking fascinated with him. He saved her all those years ago but he still looks the same. She could always touch him of course because of her gift but now so can everyone else and thats why everything about him is so intriguing to Lucie.

Four: Grace Blackthorn and Christopher Lightwood marriage? Sham?

I know it sounds crazy but of all of the marriages in TLH i believe this one is the one that is definitely most likely NOT a sham. We know theres a definite possibility it could happened. Think about this... Herondale eyes. they had to be passed down and the only person we know for a fact that has those eyes now is Alec. Alecs ancestor is Gabriel Lightwood and Cecily and how else would the gene get passed unless it was through them?

Anna has blue eyes but i doubt she would marry and have children, no other women have been introduced or spoke of in the slightest who arent related to him so i just dont think it could be anyone else. Aloof but beautiful underneath it all Christopher Lightwood marries mean heffer Grace Blackthorn. I really think that. I know the family tree is missleading but it does give you some idea of how far the familes go back, how many generations from TDA to TMI.

Or....theory Grace Blackthorn and Anna Lightwood.

Ive considered this as well. Ive read pieces where Cassie has commented on the two of them speaking and it makes me wonder what type of relationship they end up having or if she just lets Grace have it for treating James like crap. You see Gabriel and Cecily have a baby named Alexander and it makes me think that maybe thats Alecs ancestor and the map is extremely inaccurate after all ☺

Five: Matthew and Christopher theory.

I believe Christopher and Matthew could be the boys in this snippet.

He took a deep breath, and crossed the floor of blades and constellations to the other boy’s side. He stood at the foot of the stairs, looking down.

“But of course,” he said, very softly, “your sentiments are reciprocated.”

He stooped over him, tilting his chin up. Their lips met. The other boy made a soft sound, almost like surrender, stretching under his body. He slid an arm around his neck and pulled him down onto the stairs.

Why?

Because Matthew is always taking responsibility for him. He calls him a genius. Christopher spends time at the Branwell houshold with Matthews father.

Matthew even says he loves taking care of people and hes good at it. He says be takes care of his father. He actually said in TftSA that he took care of Christopher Lightwood. The words spoken do sound like Matthew too.

Six: Love triangles

Recently there was a post about a love triangle in TLH with 2 women and 1 man. My guess is its gonna be with Anna, Grace, and James or it will be with Grace, Lucie, and Jesse. They arent really siblings and ive seen pics like this...

They make me think that the both of them want Jesse's heart. This photo was on Cassie's Pinterest it seemed to be the sort of photo like "its on" or "may the best woman win" i dunno. The kiss was just...this photo made me think of the two of THEM facing off. Judas Kiss or something.

Another thought was maybe Anna, Grace, and James is because i think the marriage between Cordelia and him could be a fluke at first and maybe he persues Grace still. Anna could end up falling for her as well and theres your triangle. I just have a feeling that Grace Blackthorn is involved in this thing.

Because i hate her.

Like i seriously hate Grace Blackthorn and its sad because i 💙 Blackthorns 😣

Seven: When its all said and done, Matthew Fairchild will not be a Shadowhunter.

I think he will either die, be stripped of his marks, or be turned into a downworlder which i freaking hate, i dont want Matthew to change hes perfect just the way he is and because i love him like a fat kid loves cake.

Eight: In the end when its all said and done Jordeila will be a thing (in love) and so will Jucie Heronthorn?

Is that their ship name?

MARKS STRIPPED THEORY

so I’m sure most of you have heard the theory that Matthew will get his marks stripped. Magnus has said that he and Jem (Jem as Brother Zachariah) once watched someone get their marks stripped, and Cassie has hinted to it before. Matthew has been in a bad place for so long and it just gets worse, and at some point all the consequences of his actions are going to catch up to him —people connected this with Cassie’s hints about a character getting marks stripped, and it’s now a popular theory in the fandom

..but what if instead of Matthew getting his marks stripped, it was Elias Carstairs?

ok hear me out. Elias was already awaiting trial for a mistake he made that cost lives, which we now know was really his fault because he was drunk. The original punishment (correct me if I’m wrong) was that he’d possibly be sent to Basilias, but now he’s coming back home. What if someone gets evidence against him, proves that it was his fault and that Elias was drunk, and he gets his marks stripped??

we know the story of Tobias Herondale —he made a mistake and tried to save his wife, costing shadowhunters to die, which resulted in the order for his execution. Elias also made a mistake which resulted in deaths, but he hadn’t even done it with good intentions, he was just drunk. If Tobias was punished that harshly for what he did when he was trying to save someone, what would the punishment for Elias be?

if you think about, Cassie has been making Matthew suffer so much that I don’t think she’d give him an ending that isn’t happy. For Elias, meanwhile, it makes a lot of sense if he got his marks stripped.

It has been a while since I’ve created my own book tag, so I thought I would make one based off our new quarantined lives. In no way am I making light of this situation, I just thought it would be fun to create a tag based off the ways we are all feeling and living at the moment. If you would like to do this tag, don’t forget to tag me so I can see your answers!

Now onto the tag.

1. Missing the Outsides – Pick a Book with Nature on the Cover

I am going to go with a new read for this one, and that is Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare. As you can see, the cover is GORGEOUS with Cordeila Carstairs on the cover and her long, red hair mixed in with red leaves. I specifically chose this book because the leaves remind me of fall which is one of my favourite times of the year!

2.  There’s Nothing to Do! – Pick a Book That is Over 500 Pages

I am kind of cheating at my own tag, but this book is just so close to being 500 pages that it should count, right? Last week, I finished The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell and LOVED it. However, it is 498 pages. With all the extra content like the author’s note and whatnot, its technically over 500 pages! If I didn’t use this one, I would probably choose another Cassandra Clare book and then this would just be full of Cassandra Clare.

3. Netflix Binge – Pick a Book Series You Want to Read

I am currently making my way through a re-read of this series, and that is the An Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir. I just…ugh, it is so good. Yesterday, I finished re-reading the first book and plan to dive right into A Torch Against the Night sometime in May. The third book, A Reaper at the Gates, came out last year I believe, and the fourth book, A Sky Beyond the Storm, releases in December of this year. I cannot wait to complete the series and see how it is all wrapped up. However, I need to re-read the series first.

4. Video Call Party – Pick a Book with a Large Cast of Characters

Recently, I read The Toll by Neal Shusterman which is the final book in the Scythe trilogy. It is interesting because there is so many POVs we get to hear from, some who are actual main characters like Citra, Rowan, Scythe Faraday, etc but also a lot who are random people. It really brings the world alive because we get to see snippets of the lives of characters who do so little as pass by our main characters. However, in The Toll, we do get quite a few new main characters; expanding the already big cast of characters. While I didn’t have a super strong connection to one specific character, I did really like most of them.

5. Self-Care Time – Pick a Book That is Your Guilty Pleasure

I don’t have one specific book for this, but I have a soft spot for any Sarah Dessen book. Yes, the books are so repetitive and basically have the same type of main character, but I read a lot of her contemporaries in my early high school years when I really needed them. A lot of Sarah Dessen’s books feature characters who have a hard time fitting in and finding their own group of people, and that was really important for me to read.

6. New Routine – Pick a New Release You Haven’t Read, But Want To

This is a book I just got in the mail on Wednesday, and that is House of Salt and Sorrow by Erin A. Craig. This is not a super new book (it came out in August 2019), but I have been dying to read it ever since I heard it was based off the story of The Twelve Dancing Princesses. When I was younger, that was my favourite Barbie movie and yes, I know the fairy tale is MUCH darker, but that is why I am so excited to explore that part of the story. I haven’t heard really anything on Instagram, YouTube, or on another blog about this book, so I am thinking about doing a review on it. Let me know what you think!

7. What is a Sleep Schedule Even? – Pick a Book that Kept You Up ALL Night

Over the last year or so, I have transitioned from a night reader to a morning reader (because I am grandma now who cannot stay up past 11 pm). However, the last book that kept me reading until 1 am was Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare. I swear, Cassandra Clare books are the only books that have kept me up in the past too. When Lady Midnight released, I read it in like two days and stayed up all night reading it. They are just so addicting and entertaining that you do not want to put down. I highly recommend Chain of Gold because it is definitely Clare’s best work (along with The Dark Artifices trilogy). Luckily, you only have to read The Infernal Devices trilogy before diving into Chain of Gold, since it does follow the characters’ children.

8. Only Essentials Please! – Pick 3 “Essential” Books From Your Shelf

This was SO hard but I brought this on myself. My three essential books Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare (because I love the story and characters, but also because its long!), The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater (the atmosphere and characters are to die for), and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir (I think I’ve talked about my love for it enough for you to understand why). These books just hold special places in my heart, along with having stories and characters I adore.

  Well, there it is! My latest original book tag. I would love if you participated and gave it a try because it is a great way to stay connected with the book community. Since this is #StayHome theme, I thought I would use my blog to shout out some ways to help businesses and people who are less fortunate during the COVID-19 pandemic. Don’t feel obligated to donate money if you don’t have the means, but at least check out these awesome organizations!

Save Indie Bookstores (Supports indie bookstores across the U.S. but if you aren’t American, look into supporting your local bookstore!)

Feeding America(Gives to food banks across the U.S.)

Oxfam America (Supplies clean water to people who were struggling even before the pandemic like refugees in camps)

Support Vulnerable Communities (Various Canadian fundraisers to protect vulnerable communities)

Support Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (Various Canadian fundraisers to protect vulnerable communities)

These are just a few of many organizations you can support during these trying times, but there are so many more. I recommend looking at your community and seeing what you can do there too. So far, I’ve only ordered a book from a local bookstore near me, but I definitely want to donate to one of the organizations I listed above. Hopefully, by my next blog post, I can tell you guys which one I decide to give to. Once again, only donate if you can!

S4 and Pranks

• when matthew first comes to james with the idea to do a prank james isn’t so sure (because he “has to finish this book”) but matthew eventually convinces him

• they start simple: a stink bomb (courtesy of christopher) in the dining room

• thomas places it in the middle of the flower decorations right in the middle of breakfast because as matthew said “no one expects thomas to do this!”

• then they hide all the institute’s cutlery, to which bridget responds by singing her ballads even louder

• to this day, no one has found the cutlery (bridget’s still looking)

• they also sneak into people’s rooms in the middle of the night to draw moustaches on them or steal items of clothing

• “god damit james i know you have my favourite waistcoat” - will on multiple occasions

• the main offender is thomas as he’s quiet, james and matthew hide the clothes

• christopher tried to help but every time he snuck into a room he ended up trying to build something with the person’s belongings

• most of the time the victim realises and washes it off and finds a new sock

• however henry came down to breakfast with a drawn on moustache, a missing sock and a shirt which has no arms at least 4 times in one week

• anna fills in for thomas when he goes to spain

• when he comes back he shocks the others with even better pranks than before

• will eventually joins in because “come on tess, who can resist”

• they start to prank lucie and cordelia with the typical water bucket on the door, worms in the can, and jump scares

• the girls obviously get their revenge and it turns into a full blown prank war

• the parents (minus will) try to stop it at first but find it funny so join in

• prank war 2.0

• it ends when, who guessed it, christopher blows up the west wing of the institute

• tessa still claims it was a demon to this day
