marriage to aventurine in the first place seemed like a distant dream. he'd never imagined meeting someone that would make him feel loved again, let alone ever having a family again. he'd come to terms with these facts and he didn't mind living out the rest of his life without.

but then he met you, someone who gave him that love, someone who embraced every part of him, you who he wanted to keep by his side forever. truly meeting you was the best thing his luck had ever done for him.

it would absolutely be years and i mean years before he starts considering a future with you however. he needs that long built connection with you to even start coming to terms with the fact that you might actually hold genuine feelings for him and that he can trust you.

you know he's flashy, he's all about putting on a show and so that would be his first instinct for proposing to you right? no. there's a side of him that only you know and that side isn't the confident facade aventurine puts on. yes he doesn't even pay attention to the price tag of the ring he buys you, yes he doesn't care about the expenses for the wedding. but he wants the proposal to be more intimate.

he tosses and turns over his options for ages, you even caught him staring at your ring finger for prolonged periods of time! he wants to show he cares, how he really cares but there's so much he begins to overthink.

but ultimately, i believe he'd propose to you in private. a small personal moment between the two of you as he lets all his walls down and gets upon one knee, confessing all the feelings he kept bottled up for years.

and that very moment where he holds you close after you accept, the moment where he interlocks his fingers with yours and feels that coolband of metal - he melts. you feel him practically turn to a puddle in your hold and he promises to protect you for the rest of your lives.

(more often than not, no matter how many years you've been married or even engaged, he looks down at the ring on your finger with such fondness and at night, he holds your hand and traces that ring. a promise)

First time I’ve been to a live show at Dan’s joint. Best pizza in town, totally legit. But the pizza didn’t come until after the show. Mrs S was too hungry and we had to go get an appetizer at a small Chinese restaurant a few doors down. 😂 This band started up when we got back. Tonight was incredible with three great acts at @txmusiccafe featuring @_tide_eye as the headliner. Tide Eye was awesome! Imagine Hendrix meets Pink Floyd (the early Floyd) meets The Amboy Dukes meets every other hard rock band from the late 60's and early 70's. Incredible group from LA. The drummer is from here, the lead is from LA, and the bass player is from Las Vegas.
