Wait maybe I should ramble incoherently about Eldred more often because I've been trying to imagine scenarios where I interacted with him because #comfort character (apparently) and it finally worked when I didn't even mean it to. The platonic selfshipping is BACK ON.
#all my weird posts about him are like half a joke but i'm also just cringe. working on killing the part of me that cringes but i AM cringe.#granted half of the problem is less that i feel cringe#and more that i (honestly unfairly) associate comfort characters and selfshipping with heavily ooc shipping-obsessed fandom spaces#i mean i have a lot of self shipper mutuals and i think they're really cool but i am always afraid to join in#bc i dont want to become the type of self shipper that like. woobifies karkat.#YES i am scared of writing my ocs ooc it's more likely than you think.

Yes it happened, heâd overwork so he didnât have to return home. That home of his was nothing but cold, empty, and lonely. Another evening of sitting in his office and marking the last semester papers. Heâd secretly drink some whiskey out of a coffee cup and remove his shoes to feel comfortable. Stretching his limbs heâd sigh and think what happened to his life. Children grown up and wife somewhere out there with a new man. Yes- divorce was messy but at the end the feeling in his chest couldâve been compared to elation, maybe freedom. Divorces ended up being messy because of the heartbreak but man in his age? He desired peace- adjusting the reading specs on the bridge of his nose and sighed coming across your semesters quiz. Naturally loving the way you curved the font of your name on his papers. Reading your essay only to the half way and marking it âexcellentâ because to be truthful you were a very creative writer. Thoughts drifting to many places as he touched the coffee cup to sip on his whiskey. He could also definitely just retire because being a teacher in his late 50âs was quite challenging. Not because of the age range, he lost patience. Yes⌠it happened. Secretly hating his colleagues guts, but oh god when he saw you⌠there it was. The weak spot- what he liked the most that youâd always catch his gaze. Sitting at the back of the classroom leaning on your elbow and catch his gaze. Seeing you press your thighs together under the desk, at the praise he gave you for your test results. He liked praising you.
Being newly enrolled, finding new friends which you did instantly and they were cool people. Sharing mutual interests and forming a little study sessions in the library. It was honestly so good. But the moment you saw him passing by holding that green smoothie in his hand from cafeteria you loved so much. You caught yourself staring, goodness he was tall. That hair slicked back, and the specs, your chest felt like giving up. A breath caught in your throat as he locked his eyes with yours. Gripping the book against your chest you ran up to him âMr..â stilling his feet he acknowledged you âY/Nâ a smile greeting his features and you grew weak in your knees. Secrets⌠secrets again. You had tons of them. âDid they have any different flavors?â You pointed at his smoothie and he chuckled shrugging. âIâm not entirely sure, but this one caught my eye today.â You nodded âitâs pretty great. I get it all the time.â He moistened his lips as you spoke. âOh donât say, that good?â Bringing the straw to his lips he tasted it. The sweet flavors leaving his tastebuds dancing. âVery healthy, itâs sweetâ he hummed. âWalk with me?â He motioned to his office at the end of the corridor. Your heart needed to calm down because god, you couldnât stop the feelings. Holding the book against your chest forgetting about your study session and your friends soon finding yourself sitting in his office. Leaning back against his chair he sighed. Finally having you for himself- itâs been days since he last time saw you. âRead your essay, i must say itâs amazingâ he praised. âReally? You think itâs good?â You relaxed your shoulders taking a breath. âI know itâs very good, you donât have to study so hard in that library you already have it.â Answering you with so much confidence your attraction level towards him spiked off the roof. âThank you Sir..â you smiled, eyes sparkling. âMost welcomeâ the Sir part definitely surged through his body and straight to his cock. You had no ideaâŚ
Throwing his briefcase on the passengers seat, it was time to go home but he didnât want to. He really didnât want to walk into that cold empty house alone. Maybe divorce was fine but he didnât expect to feel so goddamn lonely whenever he was at home. He could eat out, join his awful work colleagues because they constantly invited him. About to start his car he noticed you running across the road, he leaned back in his drivers seat adjusting his specs, your skirt bounced as you ran flashing him a sight of your thighs. You got in the car with a man he figured itâs your father. How much he wanted to drive you home, maybe hold your inner thigh with one hands and maybe- only maybe touch that sweet pussy of yours. He would trace your little folds and make them wet. He wanted to fit his cock right between those folds and fuck it until youâd cry for him to stop. Maybe a little rougher- maybe causing you a little lust filled pain. Snapping his hips right into you, faster and faster gripping you around your neck. These thoughts ran through his mind, making his cock heavy in his dress pants. Hissing softly as he touched his growing cock through his pants shifting in his seat, god he hated this. He hated not having you for himself and pound that little pussy of yours at every chance heâd be able to. Fill you right up with his cum, and stuff it back in you as it would leak out of you.
Seeing your professor sitting in his car, on the other side of the car park you waved. He seemed to be looking down perhaps reading something- and in fact yes he was reading a book because what else heâd have to do to make his little âproblemâ suffice away. You told your father that youâd rather walk, the car park was nearly empty and it was getting dark maybe it was your chance to tell your professor about your new story what you were writing. No harm in that right? Getting out of your fatherâs car waving him goodbye, you ran back across the road to your professors car gently knocking on his window. He looked up, and god his heart sunk in surprise seeing you there. Sliding his window down slowly you stuttered at first âI-I just saw you sitting here thinking you were reading and yes youâre.â He nodded slowly masking the awful need in the pit of his stomach. âHop in.â You excitedly did- getting on his passengers seat. âItâs actually a novel by my favourite author.â Handing you the book locking the doors. You eagerly read the info about the plot and bit your lower lip. âHave it. Itâs from my library at home, I really donât borrow books from the campus.â Your eyes grew wide. âReally?! I can read it?â He smiled nodding. âOf course! Give it back once you finish.â Your heart thumping against your chest cavity not containing yourself anymore kissing his cheek telling him endless thank youâs. Closing his eyes the moment your lips touched his cheek his breath hitched. He chuckled lightly giving your hand a gentle squeeze. Then it hit you- you kissed your professor even though it was not allowed at all you felt like breaking the rules. âI can show you.. the book, umm- in my home.â He offered, and you swallowed. Was this happening? Really? âI - I cannot accept it Sir. Honestly.. youâre too sweet.â He hummed at your words but not saying anything. âWhat if I like being sweet with you?â He then answered. Your cheeks deepened in red, lord⌠what on earth was happening to you?
âFirst editions? First official printings?â You gazed in utter awe tracing the books in his library. He was leaning against his table, arms folded in his chest. âWhatâs this?â You asked innocently trying to reach for a book much higher not aware that your professor was sweet enough to sneak up behind you reaching for it your hands touching. Alone just you two in his house. Tilting your head towards him your faces inches apart, your heart was jumping and juddering in your chest as his cologne hit your nose. It was woodsy, hint of spiciness, perhaps even a little tiny bit floral. âHereâ whispering taking a whiff of your hair. âI should go-â you realized that this hole you were about to fall into would be hard to get out of. âSo soon?â He whispered giving you some of his warmth, his chest pressing to your back. Warmth radiating from his body- your lips parted. Dropping the book by your two feet turning around his large hands capturing your ribs. Leaning down his mouth was on yours kissing you fiercefully. You moaned gaining him the access to your tongue and he kissed the hell out of you. Wet kisses, full of cravings and desire painting your soul in reds and oranges. Your hands finding rest on his back as you indulged yourself in the warm feeling, his large body pressing you against the books his hand hiking your thigh around his waist. The way your tongues glided and touched in your mouths the saliva strings connecting your mouths as you both hungrily kissed again and again moaning in sweet lust. Tilting his face to one side as he devoured your lips, you couldnât stop the mewls which escaped you making his cock possibly harder. Your panties getting in twist pussy leaking with wetness drenching your own panties you both found pace rubbing against each other. The rough material of his belt buckle giving your clit a cold touch causing you gasping for air against his lips and his large hand gripped the back of your neck. His grunts and groans, surged through you. âS-Sirâ gasping at the neck kisses wrapping your arm around his neck pulling him down on you feeling his kisses on your soul. His arms wrapped around you âlet me make you feel good angel, i wanna take good care of youâ your brain was telling you to stop heart telling you to give yourself to the man who was so passionately ravishing your mouth. Your body betraying you- you were so lost. âBeen needing you so much latelyâ admitting all these things while touching your body in ways hand on your breast kissing your chest sniffing you his thumb circling your hardened peak through your bra and blouse. Your hands holding his back, wanting him all over you. âMâso scared this is not allowed but I want youâ admitting making him kiss you passionately touching your pussy through your panties. Those kisses and touches were unforgettable thatâs why it took you everything to gently push him away and run out of his house with tears spilling down your cheeks because this was not allowed. You mightâve loved your professor yes and he might have loved you back- but this could not happen at all. Wiping your tears with the back of your sleeve you ran as fast as you could. Even though your heart hurt immensely- you both knew youâd steal moments to be together.
My secret lover⌠my secret- only mine. âTo love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.â

early hours // boromir x fem!reader đ
As the only woman in the Fellowship, you often struggled to find privacy, and had taken to bathing in a nearby stream during the early hours of the morning. One particular morning, however, it seemed that one of your comrades had a similar idea.
Smut (18+ ONLY), Fellowship!Reader, Comrades to Lovers, Fluff, Mutual Pining. 3037 Words. Author has only seen the movies, so please forgive any mistakes/inaccuracies! Also, itâs my first time writing for Boromir đ
***
You werenât sure how long ago it had been since you and the other members of the Fellowship of the Ring had set off from Rivendell. When you were in constant danger from Orcs, NazgĂťl, and the elements, it was not exactly a priority to keep track of the days. It was rare that you even got a moment to relax outside of rough camping in the woods - which wasnât exactly relaxing in the first place.
And being the only woman in the Fellowship, it could be difficult to find privacy. Your comrades meant well, but sometimes they could be overbearing. You appreciated their concern, but you could take care of yourself - if you hadn't been able to handle yourself, Elrond wouldn't have allowed you to be part of the mission, would he?
So, to find your privacy, you had taken to rising earlier than everyone else and bathing in a nearby stream - if one was available. Those were your only moments of solace, and you had to admit, that it was nice to clean yourself of the grime and sweat from trekking through the woods. Mainly for reasons of comfort and ease of movement, of course, though there were other reasons that you liked to be clean - reasons that were really quite embarrassing. Reasons that pertained to not wanting to feel unattractive in front of a certain Gondorian captain.
Really, with the fate of all Middle Earth at stake, you were worried about not looking presentable enough for a man? Was that truly what was important right now? But the irrationality of your reasoning didnât make it any less true, no matter how irritated it made you feel towards yourself.
If you were honest with yourself, you hadnât been that impressed by Boromir when the two of you had first met in Rivendell. He was handsome, yes, but there was no shortage of good-looking men in the world. At first, he he seemed like nothing but another warrior concerned with nothing but honour and glory. It wasnât until later that your feelings for him began to grow.
You soon found that Boromir - while indeed a brave and talented warrior - was also gentle and caring, and that was what had drawn you to him. He protected you and the other members of the Fellowship like he would lay down his life for you, and the way he laughed and played with the Hobbits was awfully sweet. You went from thinking nothing much of him to beginning to fall for him at a speed that was incredibly surprising to you, as it had never happened before.
You were thinking of Boromir as you stripped off your clothes and armour, leaving them in a pile on the bank of the stream close enough for you to reach when you needed them, but not so close that they would easily get wet. First, you dipped your toes into the cool water, then quickly submerged yourself. You sighed contentedly, moving deeper into the water and beginning to wash the dirt from your skin. It was a simple pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless.
So relaxed were you - which was dangerous, as you were out in the wild and needed to be constantly vigilant - that you didnât even notice that you were not alone in the stream, and remained completely ignorant until you heard a shocked voice uttering your name. Your eyes flew open to see Boromir standing before you in the water, completely bare like you.
"C-Captain Boromir!" you almost shrieked, your face flushing deeply and your arms raising to cover your chest. Your eyes wanted to trail downwards, to finally catch a glimpse of the muscular physique you knew was there - that which you had fantasised about as you watched him teaching Merry and Pippin how to defend themselves, or as he sparred with Aragorn - beneath the clear water. It took an intense amount of willpower, you successfully fought the urge.
Boromir was embarrassed too, though he wasn't being quite as obvious about it. "Apologies, my lady," he responded, his voice strained. "If I had known that you were bathing too, I would have kept my distance. I promise that it was not my intention to intrude on you." He looked at you as if he were begging you to accept his apology.
A few moments passed, and after the shock had worn off at least a little, you nodded empathetically. "I understand, Captain. You are not that kind of man. I was just shocked, that is all."
Boromir gave you a small smile, clearly relieved by your answer. "I am glad. I would not wish for you to think less of me."
There is no chance of that, you thought to yourself, settling down with your back against a large boulder near the bank of the stream. I think very highly of you indeed... more than you know. Luckily, you still had enough sense to not say such a thing out loud. Boromirâs proximity combined with your mutual nakedness was making you feel weak in the knees, and you didnât wish to embarrass yourself in front of him anymore than you already had.
Boromir moved in the water, and once again your willpower was tested, finding yourself tempted to peek at his naked body. This time, you indulged yourself a little, looking at him out of the corner of your eye and hoping he wouldnât notice. Even through your quick, embarrassed glances, you now knew that his physique was just as striking as you had imagined. Your mind began to wander, presenting some tantalising images of feeling his strong muscles beneath your palms, and then of brushing your lips against his chest, hearing his moans above you as you slowly moved lowerâ
You snapped back into reality rather unceremoniously when you heard Boromir say your name. That was when you realised that your attempts at subtly admiring him had quickly turned into staring, and you had been caught in the act. Your cheeks began to burn with embarrassment, and it took what felt like an eternity for you to be able to meet his gaze once more.
And to your surprise (and delight), when you looked up to Boromirâs face, he didnât seem disturbed or uncomfortable. Rather he was⌠smiling? And even better, there was a pale flush on his cheeks that indicated perhaps your admiration was not entirely one-sided.
When he saw your shocked expression, Boromir laughed quietly. "I have been trying to stop myself from staring at you ever since we first met, but now that I know you wish to stare back⌠perhaps I was worrying over nothing."
"PardonâŚ?" you stammered out, not trusting your own mind to determine whether this was real or another one of the dreams youâd had about Boromir since meeting him. Though this did feel far more real than any dream or fantasy youâd ever experienced in your life⌠you could feel the water on your skin, the cool morning breeze, and the heat rushing through your body as Boromir looked at you with darkened eyes.
"I have been admiring you since Rivendell, my lady. I knew right away that you were the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on, and when I got the chance to know you better⌠I found that you were not only beautiful, but a woman of both gentleness and strength." Boromir looked down, seeming almost bashful, something that you were not expecting of a strong warrior like himself. "You have stolen my heart, in a way no other woman ever has."
"Captain BoromirâŚ" Your eyes were wide as you looked at him, still trying to discern whether this was real or not.
"Please, just call me 'Boromir'. There is no need for such formality between us, especially now." Boromir moved closer, his hand coming up to rest against your cheek. His skin felt warm, and you could feel the callouses on his palm, something you would expect from a lifelong warrior such as himself. But at the same time his touch was so gentle, like you were something precious to him.
Suddenly, you didnât care whether or not this was a dream - if it was, there was no harm in indulging, and if it wasnât⌠well, Boromir wanted you quite obviously. There was no downside to finally allowing yourself to be with this man that you had been pining over.
And so, you closed the gap between the two of you and crashed your lips against his, your fingers tangling in his damp hair. Boromir let out a quiet noise of surprise, but a few seconds later he was reciprocating enthusiastically, kissing you back with a fervour that more than matched your own. One of his strong arms wrapped around your waist to pull you closer, and you couldnât help but moan softly as you felt your bare skin touch his for the very first time.
"I have been thinking about this since Rivendell," Boromir admitted huskily, pulling away from your lips to press fervent kisses to your jawline. Once he reached just below your ear, he took a moment to gently nip at your earlobe before his lips trailed down the side of your neck. His large hands were now eagerly grabbing at your backside, pulling you even closer to him.
"As have I," you whispered in response. It felt good to finally admit your desires out loud - though it certainly didn't feel better than giving in to them. You could feel Boromir's facial hair scratching against the sensitive skin of your neck as he sucked a mark into it. At this moment, you weren't even considering the idea that someone back at camp might notice it later. You were too focused on the present to even think about the future.
Boromir grinned against your neck, nipping gently as his hands moved - up from your backside to your mid back, before slipping around to the front of your body, and moving higher until he grasped your breasts. "These have been quite the distractionâŚ" You felt his thumbs grazing over your nipples, making them harden beneath his touch, and you let out a gasp. "Youâre even more beautiful than I imaginedâŚ"
One of his hands left your breast to slide down your stomach until he cupped your mound, brushing his fingers against your clit, while other hand continued to toy with your nipple. Your legs spread a little further on instinct, and you braced yourself against the smooth boulder you were leaning against.
"Thatâs it, my darling, donât be shy. Open yourself up to me," Boromir whispered lowly in your ear, as he slipped one finger inside of you rather easily, the pad of his thumb beginning to slowly rub circles over your clit. You let out a quiet curse, which seemed to amuse him judging by his smile.
Boromir kept his eyes on you as he continued to touch you, wanting to see exactly how you reacted. You mesmerised him when you were fully clothed walking through the woods, so seeing you completely bare, writhing beneath his touch? You were a temptation that he could not ignore. Once he could tell you were beginning to teeter on the edge, he pulled his hand from you, and your eyes snapped open, disappointed by the lack of stimulation.
"I would like to taste you," Boromir told you, making your heart flutter even more. You had imagined more than once having his head buried between your legs as he lapped at you until you could hardly speak. "But as there is no way for me to do that right now without risking us being seen, I suppose it will have to wait for another time."
Another time, he said. He already wanted to do this again. That fact excited you beyond belief, that this could happen more than once. You hadnât even finished doing it the first time, but you were already excited for the next.
Boromir could see the excitement behind your eyes, and he grinned at your enthusiasm. "For nowâŚ" He didnât need to finish that thought for you to know what he meant. He kissed you again, more sweetly this time, and you felt his hands on your thighs, manoeuvring them so they were wrapped around his waist. You could feel his hardness against you, rubbing against your core, and you practically collapsed into his arms.
"Are you ready?" Boromir asked gently, looking into your eyes, his own gaze filled with both adoration and desire.
"Yes," you told him softly, sounding almost desperate. "Please."
That was all he needed to hear. Using his hold on your waist, Boromir pulled you down onto him, slowly burying himself inside of you. Both of you let out groans, and he pressed his forehead to yours as he stayed still, allowing both of you to adjust to the new sensation.
"You feel incredible," he murmured brokenly, his eyes squeezed shut. The tone in his voice made it sound as if he were struggling to keep himself together, like you felt so good that if he didnât focus properly, he would fall apart in an instant. It made you feel strangely powerful that you were able to affect a man like him in such a way. "Youâll be the death of meâŚ"
The two of you stayed frozen for a few more moments, until you started to become impatient and whispered "go on" against his lips. And as soon as you gave the signal, Boromir began to move, drawing out of you before pushing himself deep inside again, almost painfully slow.
He was big, certainly thicker than anything youâd experienced before, and there was a stretch that stung a little at the beginning. It faded quickly however, and it wasnât long before you had your face buried in his neck as you panted and moaned. Boromirâs fingertips dug into your hips, definitely hard enough to leave bruises but not enough for you to care. How could you care right now, anyway? Your mind was so addled by the pleasure you were feeling that you barely even remembered where you were.
As his hips moved against yours, Boromirâs hands were everywhere, almost like he was trying to memorise every inch of your body using only his sense of touch. Your own hands grasped onto his shoulders, occasionally moving downwards so you could run your hands over his toned torso, and making him gasp softly against your skin. He began to move faster, and as a result your moans grew louder and more frequent.
Boromir knew that it wasnât safe for you to be so loud - though your pretty moans were driving him crazy - as anyone could hear and come to investigate, whether that was one of their comrades or someone more unsavoury. Rather than tell you to quiet down, however, he kissed you again, swallowing each and every noise that wanted to escape you. This also had the added benefit of keeping him quiet as well, because he could feel his own willpower slipping.
Again, his pace increased, and you were barely even able to think anymore. Boromir could tell that you were close, and oh, how he wanted to see you fall over the edge. Wanting to make sure he saw it before meeting his own end, his hand slipped between your bodies to rub at your clit again, while the other toyed with your nipple. You tightened around him and he doubled his efforts, bringing his lips close to your ear. "I can feel that youâre close, my darling⌠let go, I want to feel you come undone for meâŚ"
Almost as if you were waiting for his permission, you immediately fell apart once he said the word, trembling violently in his embrace as you called out his name. By some miracle, Boromir was quick enough to crash his lips against yours once more to muffle the sound, as he continued to fuck you through your climax.
Boromir tried to hold out as long as he could, but soon enough he faltered. With a groan against your lips he let go too, spilling himself inside of you before pressing his forehead against yours once more. Both of you were panting, your bodies shaking slightly as you recovered from your shared experience, holding onto each other for dear life.
"You knowâŚ" you began breathlessly, once you had recovered enough to be able to speak again. "I think that was the best bath Iâve ever hadâŚ"
Boromir grinned widely, peppering kisses on your cheek before planting one on the tip of your nose. "Glad to be of service, my lady," he said in a teasing tone, but you could tell that he was being genuine. You placed your hand on his cheek, brushing your nose against his and then gently kissing his lips, much more chastely than the previous kisses you had shared.
The two of you stayed like that for a few more minutes, revelling in being so close to each other now that you knew that you were not alone in your feelings. After a while you pulled away from each other, making sure to wash the sweat that had formed on your bodies from your earlier activities.
"We should return to camp soon. The others might wake and notice that weâre missing," Boromir said solemnly, knowing that duty called for you both, even if he would love to stay here with you forever. You nodded, and the two of you waded out of the water, drying yourselves and getting dressed.
Once the two of you were looking presentable again, Boromir took your hand in his, looking into your eyes with a rather vulnerable expression. "I hope⌠this will not be our last encounter?" he asked, a subtly pleading tone to his voice, which made your heart melt. This was real, he truly did care for you.
"It will not be," you replied, a small smile playing on your lips, and the two of you returned to camp - having to invent a story to tell the other members of the Fellowship when they asked what you and Boromir were doing alone together so early in the morning.

yes it is AND THAT'S THE POINT!! here's my lengthy explanation i typed out some other time but it's relevant so i'm sharing it here too:
ok so. pre-martinaise harry is the definition of toxic masculinity. he's insecure as hell and keeps trying to prove to others (and himself) how super macho and cool he is. especially after being dumped by a gorgeous woman. therefore he's also "ashamed" of being bisexual. he likes vic (loves him, even) but all his public displays of affection are masked as "jokes" and playful workplace banter. he keeps the facade of confidence so perfectly that even though people joke about them being gay it's in a way that is "oh du bois is so straight, there's no way any of this is true.", which is why it doesn't bother him.
he loves how dependent vic is on him and he is possessive about it. someone hurts vic? they'll regret it immensely. someone gets too close to him? he'll de-escalate that relationship and keep jean close to him. jean is also dependent on him in a technical sense of course, being his junior/satellite officer and jumping rank so fast thanks to him, but it goes beyond that. from the outside, he's jean's protector. he's the one holding the leash.
though this isn't entirely true when they're alone. harry would never let vic take the reigns in any situation, romantic, platonic, sexual, whatever, but there is a part of him that desperately wants to. he doesn't allow himself to be vulnerable, would never be the one submitting to jean, but there are times where jean has had to comfort him sobbing on his shoulder, on his chest. where he had to force the gun out of his mouth. as protective as harry is of jean from the outside, jean protects harry when they're alone and at their worst. it gives him purpose, combined with work and working out. keep harrier alive. keep him functioning.
so it is sort of a mutual understanding, a game they play where jean lets harry be in control and in a sense he is, cause jean would never be able to leave him, no matter how horrible it got. harry takes the initiative, he kisses jean first, he fucks him, he tells him to meet up in his apartment, etc. yet a part of both of them know that it's mutual. that harry needs vic as much as he needs harry, and they perpetuate this cycle by depending on each other endlessly and never working to get better. they enable each other in the worst ways while also keeping each other alive. toxic, cursed, but it is inevitable.

HIGH ACHIEVER - ONE: HOW TO BE A TEAM PLAYER

summary: You've always prided yourself on your grades but when Suguru enters the scene, competing for the top spot in your major becomes more than just a matter of honor. What happens when you're forced to work together on a long project (and so what if he happens to be just your type)? pairing: Geto Suguru x reader word count: 2k content: college AU; academic rivals to lovers; short series; mutual hatred attraction; afab!reader; angst/comfort; reader is described as being shorter than Suguru (but then again, the man is about 6'3' so who isn't?); smut (in future chapters - MDNI) âŞplaylist⪠+more Jujutsu Tech College AU
Suguru Geto was the very apex of campus.Â
Not only was he a big name in the basketball courts, but Geto was also the most skillful martial artist and exceeded in every single class he took, being among the top students in the academy. He was cocky but never unkind. In fact, Geto's amiability was a matter of admiration throughout the grounds. As if that hadn't been enough, he was beautiful. With his tall frame, broad shoulders, silky black hair, perfect complexion, kind caramel eyes, nihilistic smile⌠He was also the utter and absolute bane of your existence.Â
It seemed to give him the utmost joy to counter every single point you brought up in the classes you shared or to find and point out inconsistencies in your arguments. In other words: he lived to antagonize you.
You didn't even care about being valedictorian; it was nothing but a title - who were you kidding? Gojo would be getting that anyway, the boy simply didn't know how to lose. Not even Geto could surpass his GPA and ranking position combined - but you did pride yourself on your grades and learning. It's why you even attended college to begin with: it's the goal, isn't it?
The problem began when Suguru decided to make it his business always to show you up. If you were happy about your 98% on a test, he just had to point out his 99. If you accurately responded to a question made by the professor, he felt obligated to mention details you had "seemingly forgotten".
It was frankly maddening.
"Sometimes the best solutions come from intuition and an understanding of the specific circumstances of the case - it requires flexibility." you spoke when asked about evidence-based practices in class. Mr. Yaga nodded complacently and took a breath as if preparing to launch into another rhetoric when there was a loud sneer.
You knew that sound well enough it immediately caused your spine to stiffen. You didn't even have to turn on your seat to find its source.
"Anything you'd like to share, Mr. Geto?" the professor promptly asked, arms crossing in front of his chest as one of his dark eyebrows shot up above the black sunglasses that were usually covering his stern eyes.
Of course he had. Geto always had. You rolled your eyes, already anticipating his antithesis. Countering your arguments were his favorite pastime after all.
"Yes, actually," you felt his eyes burning on the back of your head, but you refused to turn and give him the satisfaction. "Relying on gut feeling when peopleâs lives and well-being are at stake is⌠precarious. Evidence-based practice relies on proven methods, which is exactly what we need: tested and effective approaches." You could almost hear the arrogant smugness in the tone of his voice and your anger bubbled over to the point of spilling.
"So you'd prefer to overlook important nuances? People are individuals, not statistics. Using averages when each case is different is inadequate at best." You retorted as you twisted in your seat, your indignant eyes meeting his cool ones.
"Mrs-" The professor tried to stop the argument before it picked up, but it was already too late the moment you decided to counter Geto. He knew exactly what the result usually was. Every member of the docent body was aware of the rivalry between you.
"All that sounds lovely, very idyllic. But we should remain grounded in measurable outcomes, not guesswork, sweetheart." Geto spoke in his usual smooth cadency, but the disdainful undertone was not lost on you. He had this complacent closed-lip smile that grated your nerves on.
You scoffed at the belittling term of endearment he used, "A more creative, personalized approach builds trust and leads to success."
"And how do you plan to measure this success?"
"Success cannot be measured by research."
"And you suggest not relying on research? That is irresponsible."
"That is not what I-"
"Enough!" Mr. Yaga bellowed, clearly having had enough of the back and forth between the two of you. You clamped your mouth shut, embarrassment making your skin warm. "As much as all of your points are valid and very pertinent to our subject matter, you're letting your nerves get the best of you. I wish to continue my lecture now though." He paused gaze moving from you to Geto, "unless that would inconvenience either of you, of course."
You let your body slide down on your chair so as to avoid the attention still feeling Geto's gaze lingering on you. You hated that you let yourself be moved by his obvious bait, that you coulddn't help but rise to the occasion whenever he so much as breathed in your general vicinity. You wished you could say you had better self-control but you simply did not. It's a pain and a chore really.
The lecture picked back up after your humiliating schtick without further incidents⌠mostly because you decided not to chime in anymore. And, of course, without you to counterattack, Geto felt it would be pointless to partake in the discussion. Asshole.
You sighed in relief when the professor dismissed the class, quickly throwing your laptop and water bottle inside your bag and making a beeline to the door when he called your name followed by Geto's.
"I'd like to speak to both of you for a moment."
"I have to get to my next class-" you started to protest, hands tightening on the strap of your bag when he interrupted you:
"It'll only take a minute, Mrs."
You sighed and timidly moved closer to his desk, fingers still fidgeting. You could feel Geto's presence right beside you, but refused to even glance his way.
"This feuding between you is getting out of hand. I'd like to ask you to take it easy on the altercations from now on. You both make valid points most of the time, you should learn to compromise every now and then. Being this intransigent will get you nowhere in life." Mr. Yaga glare had you cowering slightly, shoulders hunching in. "You two are my best students in this subject so I decided to pair you up for a special semester-long project. That should teach you a little bit about accommodating the other's needs."
"What?!" you nearly choked on your spit.
"I want you to write a paper evaluating the impact of local outreach programs. It'll be worth 25% of your final grades. I'll email you the details. You're dismissed."
"Profes-" once more you tried to object but Yaga gave you no chance to even finish your thought:
"I said you're dismissed." He stood his ground, not bothering to even look at you as he started stacking the papers on his desk.
You huffed in annoyance and marched out of the auditorium. You heard Geto's steps and tried to walk ahead of him, avoiding the consequential conversation after receiving such horrid news but he easily caught up to you with his stupid long legs.
"Give me your phone." his velvety voice demanded. You stopped in the middle of the corridor and he did the same, turning his body to you, proudly crowding in on you and towering over your form, mindless of the other people walking past form both directions.
"What? No," you scoffed indignantly. Geto sighed and rolled his eyes, clearly regretting this exchange as much as you.
"I'm just gonna add my number to your contacts. As much as I'm dreading this, it is not the kind of project we can just work on separately and then put it all together. It should be seamless."
That made you pause. You really couldn't argue with that sentiment. Still, you were so used to it that you couldn't help but affronting Geto: "Huh. I didn't think you had it in you to be reasonable."
"Ha. Ha. Very funny." He deadpanned. You did hand over your phone after unlocking it and opening the contact info page after a second of hesitation when you found no hidden agenda behind his demeanor.
"Just type in your number so we can get this over with. I'd like to get this over with as soon as possible. My daily quota of you is already blown over." You said as you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
Your words had the opposite of the expected reaction though as you saw the moment his smile turned predatory. You steeled yourself for his upcoming retort but none came.
Your eyes instantaneously flitted to the strand of hair that fell off his half-up hairdo and covered his left eye as he lowered his head to type on your phone. You hated that if anyone ever critiqued a man bun that's because they had never seen Suguru Geto's. That man sure knew how to pull off one of the most controversial hairstyles to ever exist. You couldn't imagine there was something he wouldn't be able to pull off, to be honest⌠what a shame he had to be an insufferable asshole.
"That implies you need at least a small amount of me in your day." you were so enraptured in your analysis of his hair that you almost missed his jab.
"No, I-" you scowled in disgust, nearly ripping the unoffending device from his offering hand once he turned it back your way. "In your dreams, Geto."
He only hummed in response, that stupid smirk on his face. Again.
"Fuck you, Geto," you threw over your shoulder as you turned on your heel, not wasting any more time before heading for your next class.
"I'll text you, sweetheart!" He called after you, the sound of his laughter following.
You ground your teeth together in anger, your face feeling uncharacteristically warm. You only let yourself check your phone after you turned a corner so you were absolutely certain you were no longer in his field of vision. You stared in perplexity at the name he saved his number under.
"I can't believe this pretentious douchebag had the audacity⌠most brilliant colleague my ass!"
You were switching up his name in your contacts to 'arrogant prick n2' instead when you heard your friend's voice calling you over.
"Where were you? The class starts in less than a minute and you know how Gakuganji gets with laggers," her short dyed blonde hair swayed as she glanced from your approaching form to the open double doors to the lecture hall by her right.
You rushed towards Akari with a quick apology and a "what are you doing out here then?"
"It's not as if his lectures are ever full." She shrugged easily flitting her arm to yours so you could enter together.
"Noted."
The two of you easily found and occupied a couple of seats by the back right before Gakuganji launched into a dull monologue on the psychological effects of music on the brain, which could have been an interesting subject if it wasn't taught by someone closer to a mummy than a human with the most boring cadency to his voice.
"Did Yaga hold over the class?" Akari mumbled the question as she set up her laptop.
"Held me over, you mean," you murmured back. You felt her questioning gaze settle on you, so you decided to further explain, "he wants me to work on some big project about local outreach programs."
"That sounds like a lot of work, why only you?"
"Not only me. Something about learning to concede or some shit like that."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Well, apparently I have been too intransigent with Geto and now we gotta learn to work together."
She let out a loud sound, a mix between laughter and a snort which immediately had Gakuganji dark eyes turning your way.
"Sorry!" Akari winced, "I, uhn, chocked.
The professor huffed and you waited for some sort of reprimand, but he only got right back into his spiel.
"You're joking? You mean to say you have to work with Suguru Geto?"
"Unfortunately."
"Well, say goodbye to Jujutsu Tech, because the two of you are about to wreck this whole school."
She wasn't wrong.

DPXDC prompt ~Dead on main~Someone is walking over my grave
Jason sits on his tombstone and thinks about..something.
He lazily washes off the dirt that has been stuck on his army boots after the rain. It covers the year of his death perfectly. Grinning, he puts out a cigarette by using the mentioned stone. The cigarette butt throws between ugly funeral wreaths.
Danny: Hey, asshole, stop it!
Jason turns around. A very angry twink is rushing at him. The notorious crime lord does not have time to react when a fist hits him. Red Hood falls into a puddle. Shit! His favorite leather jacket!
Jason: What the hell are you doing?
Danny: No. What the hell are you doing?! Just because a man is dead doesnât mean you must not respect him. Youâre in a cemetery. Behave yourself, shithead. Or Iâll teach you manners.
Jason: Youâre not from around here. Right?
Danny: So what? I doubt itâs normal to wipe your feet using a tombstone. Even in Gotham.
A malicious gremlin folds his arms on a chest.
Jason sits in a puddle more comfortably and pulls another cigarette out of his pocket. Damn, itâs wet.
Jason: If you were gothamite, I wouldnât have to explain. Itâs my grave, idiot. I do what I want with it.
Jason throws useless source of nicotine at his photo with black ribbon. The person who convicted him takes a couple of seconds to compare the vandal to the buried one.
Danny: Aw, shit, man. My bad, I didnât mean to interrupt your break.
Jasonâs eyebrow rises in surprise. From the outsider he expected more screaming and running. NotâŚapologies.
Jason: Yeah? Tell that to my favorite leather jacket. Now you can bury it next to me.
Bad Jason, bad. Thatâs not how normal people talk.
Danny: Iâll make amends. Tomorrow, okay? Itâs my first working day. Iâve decided not to take my wallet. Need to find a safe route.
Jason: First day?
Danny: Yes, new cemetery guard here in the flesh. But I have not had time to meet all of inhabitants. Mistook you for a bad boy in a story. Well, it is your fault too! I understand youâre upset about death or maybe about the color of wreaths but please just put all the shit in the trash. Iâm Danny, by the way.
Jason: Ha, I was wondering why there was no regular dude at work. Probably my neighbors drove him to a breakdown. He was an asshole, so no regrets.
Danny: Do you think so? Mrs Dent didnât seem restless to me, she was quite nice.
The guy didnât seem to catch the joke. Or was crazy. Why are all the hot people in Gotham are? Doesnât matter. Why not try, right?
Jason: Donât worry about the money. You can repay me with something else.
Danny: So you regenerates the suit? Cool. What do you want?
Jason: Um, I donât get it, but⌠as compensation, Iâm wanna have your number and one date.
Danny: Sure, why not.
Danny looks at the headstone.
Danny:Can you go outside the cemetery...Jason? The place is romantic, I agree, but where I grew up, itâs not customary to bring a mate at the place of rest until you meet parents.
Jason: Seriously? Cheesy horror movies didnât teach you not to mess with zombies?
Danny: Well, Iâve never had a partner who was attracted to my brilliant brain. It must be pretty nice. And I donât mind a couple of love bites, zombie boy.
Dannyâs playfully batting his eyelashes. Jason canât help laughing.
Danny: The less fair opinion among my friends is that Iâm just brain-dead idiot. But I think they just donât understand the benefits of adrenaline addiction, miserable humans. *pretends to wipe off a tear*
Jason *pretends to sniff*: Aw, hell, you really are a brainless doll, arenât you?
Danny: Even so, it just means Iâm perfectly safe.
Jason: Donât think so. I want a piece of you.
Danny: Then donât be afraid that the feeling is mutual. My teeth are also quite sharp. And when Iâm haunting, itâs not easy to get rid of me.
The cheeky smile has given way to a serious look.
Danny: If we donât get along, tell me right away, Iâm not good at reading other peopleâs emotions.
~~~~~
Red Hood may be the son of the greatest detective but blinded by love Jason realizes that his boyfriend is quite dead only after a couple of months. He used to think Danny was a littleâŚweird. Well, who in Gotham isnât? It wasn't a problem. But during a funny fight about ignoring Danny in favor of a conversation with Tim , Fenton goes through him to grab his phone and then shouts that 'ghosting him is racist'.
Jason was delighted that he was able to hide his surprise. His boyfriend was too sweet, but sometimes insecure. Jay didnât want Danny to start being cautious. Evidently, Honey thought from the first day that Jason knows. Let him keep it that way. Nothing has changed.
But now Dannyâs promises to haunt Joker for the rest of his life if Jason wants it stopped being just super-hot flirt. So Jason need to make sure he doesnât sic his darling poltergeist or whoever Danny is on someone. Even if it sounds good.
~~~~~Family dinner~~~~~
Dick: How did you two meet?
Jason: Thatâs a great story. My brave man beat the vandal who was messing with my grave.
Bruce: What? Who dared?
Danny: Jason, stop. Itâs embarrassing.
Jason: No~ My family needs to know that chivalry is dead. My hero. Jason canât resist a kiss on the cheek.
Danny: Taking this opportunity, I want to thank you all. It means a lot that you accepted Jason even not fully alive.
Alfred: Nonsense. Of course we..Heâs family, no matter what.
Danny: Until the death separates us. Even at a wedding, love is promised only for a while. In parenthood, they do not take any oath about it. Youâd be surprised how little past relationships can mean to people and how easy it is to hate what we are.
Danny: Damn, I ruined the mood, didnât I? Sorry.
~~~~~
Jason: B, with all due respect, back off. You should ask Constantine how to help Danny if his family becomes a problem. Donât mark my babe as a problem.
Bruce: I asked. And he laughed at me and said that you are the one who need protection. not him. Your Fenton is dangerous. Ghosts of such power only emerge in cataclysms after a large burst of energy or reach this level after centuries of battles or cannibalism and battles.
Jason: Seriously, old man? My boyfriendâs not gonna eat me. Iâm not Red riding hood and heâs clearly not pretending to be my grandmother.
~~~~~~
Danny: Hi, honey. whatâs new?
Jason noted with satisfaction that Danny had eaten all the supplies he had prepared for him.
Jason: Nothing, but now I have an idea for great Halloween costumes for us. They are gonna drive the old man crazy.
Danny: Did you fight again? What is it this time?
Jason: Guess what, now Bâs worried you want to bite off my dick or something.
Danny: First, eew, disgusting. Donât talk about our intimate life with fucking Batman. Why would he think that? I like you whole.
Jason: Whore?
Danny: Idiot.They donât even sound alike.
Jason: Just admit that I am an eye candy and kiss me already. I need a break from the madness of my family.
~~~~~
Later Danny blackmails Constantine for information about the interrogation from Batman.
Then he sends a short message to the group chat : Tell the future father-in-law that while Jason can cook, he is safe from me.
The chat explodes from questions of Batclan to Bruce. Jay has great brothers and sisters. Danny knew their chaotic energy could be relied upon.
~~~~~
In the morning Jason yells at Tim. Why the hell did Replacement put "Friends For Dinner" from The Land Before Time as his alarm melody?
~~~~~
Bruce *is suspicious of the ghosts at the wedding*.
GhostWriter: Do not think that we like it. The boy is involved in his own version of Twilight. Oh Ancients, I hope the Ancients don't know about it.
Clockwork aka one of Ancients: Come on, thatâs sweet. And story will have a happy ending. I guarantee.
~~~~~
Jason's in a date simulator with no chance of losing when everyone thinks heâs in a horror game. Is Danny dangerous? Yeah. Did he hunt when they first met? Who knows. The main thing in the middle of the conversation Danny realised he found a creature with a similar sense of humor. So that made Jason 10 out of 10 aka soulmate and he would kill for him.

truth or dare. kim sunoo
To the average person, you and Sunoo appeared to be normal acquaintances.
You had the same mutual friends, similar tastes in various interests and seemed to be comfortable around each other.
When you were alone together in the middle of night however, it was a different story.
After receiving the text you were waiting for, you eagerly dashed up to the first floor bathroom.
As soon as you opened the door, Sunoo pounced onto you.
âDo you need my help?â you mocked.
âYnnie, I donât have the time for this.â he sighed. âThis is your fault, help me fix it.â
He gestured towards his raging hard on.
Yes, you had sent him a racy picture but it was only because you saw him feeling up some girl from your university.
You reached out and grabbed his crotch, watching his head fall into your neck.
âPlease.â he pleaded.
âOnly because you asked so nicely.â you replied, dropping to your knees.
Your hands took their time unbuckling his belt and pulling his trousers to his ankles.
âHurry up, fuck, I told Jungwon Iâd be back in 5.â
âYouâre only giving me five minutes?â you grumbled under your breath.
You took his heavy length into your hand, squeezing occasionally. Even though youâd been fucking around for two months it didnât stop you from being in awe at how pretty he was.
âYour dick is sooo pretty, Noo. Just like you.â you praised, kitten licking his tip.
He fell apart at the slightest touch, gripping onto the door behind you.
âFuck!â he moaned out.
Watching his eyes squeeze shut you decided to give him what he wanted, taking him into your mouth.
It took two drags across his length for him to lose his cool demeanour.
His hands made their way into your hair, violently dragging you up and down his dick. Your gags seemed to spur him on as he thrusted erratically, no rhythm in sight.
âFuck! You can take it!â he gasped out. âYou can take it, baby.â
Your friends always teased him for appearing to be submissive but in times like this he proved otherwise, making you watch him lose control over the tiniest thing.
You gags turned to moans, sending shock waves throughout his body.
âIâm so close.â he moaned loudly. âWhere do you want me? In your mouth?â
You nodded to the best of your ability.
âWell I donât want to cum in your mouth.â he wined. âGonna cum on your face.â
He pulled out of your mouth, saliva and pre cum already making a mess of your mouth.
His hands rapidly worked his cock before he shot his load all over your face. It spurted out in thick ropes as he leant his head back, struggling to gain composure.
âShit.â he sighed. âYou look so incredible like this.â
Before you could respond, he pulled his phone out and snapped a picture.
Your own phone buzzed in your skirt pocket. Once you pressed on the chat a picture of yourself popped up.
With a gasp you stumbled over your own feet to get a good look at yourself in the mirror and it was⌠an interesting sight.
âWell, Iâm going now.â Sunoo cleared his throat.
âAre you fucking kidding me?â your eyes widened. âYouâre gonna leave me like this? Thereâs so many people out there!â
âHow can I even help?â he chuckled behind his hand.
âFuck you, go away.â you grumbled.
âYnnie, donât be mad at me.â he pouted, poking at your side.
You ignored him, wiping at your face.
âOh come on.â he deadpanned. âYou wanted me to help and now that I offer it you donât wanna speak?â
âI donât want your help anymore.â
âSo whoâs gonna help you?â
âJake will.â
Sunooâs expression immediately turned sour.
âOf fucking course.â he rolled his eyes. âI donât know why you hang around that prick, you know.â
âWhat! Heâs my friend.â you shrugged. âSame as you.â
âWeâre not just friends⌠weâre friends with benefits.â he crossed his arms.
âMinus the friendship because I hate you.â you spoke without thinking. âI fuck you because itâs easy.â
There was a shift in the atmosphere of the bathroom.
âIâm easy, huh?â
â.. I never said YOU were easy, I said this is easy.â you gestured between the two of you. âYou call me whenever and weâll fuck and I call you whenever and weâll fuck.â
âRight.â
He didnât give you anytime to respond before walking out and slamming the door behind him.
You sighed and pushed your hair back, pressing the call button on your most recent facetime.
âYnnieeee, where are youuu?â Jake called out.
The camera switched to your best friend Sora.
âSorry heâs super drunk, where are you?â
âIn a bathroom, is Sungho there?â
The phone was passed to Sungho.
âHow in the fuck do you get cum off your face?â you asked him.
Sora snatched the phone back.
âWhat in the fuck did you do?â she gasped.
âShow us your face.â Sungho giggled.
You slowly showed them the mess that Sunoo had left.
âDamnnn!â they whistled.
âNow, who did this?â Sora pressed.
âNot important. Come to the first floor bathroom, my sweet, sweet friends!â
âHoly glaze!â Jake gagged.
âWhat?â Sora looked at him, confused. âWeâll all be there in 2.â
***
You sat scanning the circle of people sat before you at the party. Jake had drunkenly dragged you all into the game of truth or dare and forced you to join in.
Your eyes met Sunoo, a hard to read expression on his face. Deep down you knew he was pissed.
Annoyed with his obvious glaring you rolled your eyes and focused on what Jake blabbed into your ear.
The host of the party, Sieun, stumbled into the middle of the circle.
âSooooo guys!â she giggled, placing a bottle down in the center. âIf the bottle lands on you then you choose who to ask a truth or dare, if the person completes it they spin and so on!â
It was hard to hear her past the raging music, nosy onlookers and bustle of the rest of the party who werenât playing.
She spun the bottle. You all hovered in anticipation, waiting for it to stop rolling.
Sunoo sat up, lightly pushing Sieun back. You watched as she fell into the lap of some guy from your economics class, wrapping her arms around him with a hysterical laugh.
âYn.â he called out. âTruth or dare?â
âTruth.â
Youâd decided to play it safe, knowing that heâd probably dare you to do something embarrassing.
âHave you ever stayed friends with someone because it benefitted you beyond just the friendship?â
You resisted the urge to walk away and and spoke before you could think properly.
âYes. I do that with you.â
Some people laughed in disbelief while others booed at you, claiming you were being harsh.
Sunoo raised his hands, surrendering as he settled back into his chair.
âWhatever.â you grumbled, spinning the bottle.
It landed on Ryujin who asked Heeseung to talk about his biggest turn on.
He spoke with no shame, completing the truth and then moving on to the next person.
People had stripped, eaten weird food combinations and even had shot contests. Half of the group had already spoken by the time it came back towards your area.
You all watched it land on Jake who had still not mildly sobered up at all.
âSunoooo,â he drawled.
âDare.â he crossed his arms, manspreading further into his seat.
You hated how his spread legs made you want to fuck the attitude out of him then and there.
âShow us.. show us the last dm on your insta!â Jake beamed as though he was the smartest man in the world.
Your heart dropped.
Surely someone had texted Sunoo in the last 30 minutes.
âFine.â Sunoo laughed.
He unlocked his phone and opened his last chat before letting his phone make its way around the circle.
âI didnât know you guys were fucking?!â Sora gasped.
âWhat the hell?â Sungho snatched the phone away from her.
âFuckk,â Sunghoon bit his tongue. âDidnât know you two were this close..â
Everyone who had seen the phone immediately looked towards you after. It didnât take a genius to know what picture theyâd just seen. They had all connected what you said in your truth to what was going on in the picture.
When it got to you the shame filled your body. You quickly passed it onto the next person, no longer wanting to see your fucked out expression, face covered in cum and disheveled appearance.
Sunoo smirked when the phone got back to him. You wanted nothing more than to wipe the smug look off his face.
He spun the bottle and once again it landed on you.
The girl next to you giggled and you now realised that all eyes were anticipating your next move.
âTruth or dare, baby?â Sunoo tilted his head mockingly.
âBaby?â Jake gasped loudly.
âI pick dare.â you sat up straight.
Sunooâs annoyance had switched to a mischievous glimmer in his eyes. You were already regretting your choice.
âCome suck on my toes.â he held a straight face before breaking out into a laugh at your twitching eye.
The next gasp came from Sora.
âYn! Donât do it.â she whispered, wanting to save you from the aftermath of this dare.
She, however, knew you too well. She knew that you wouldnât back down to avenge your pride and ego from the last dare.
You stood up on aching legs, heels clicking as you walked across the circle.
Even the overlooking crowd seemed to stop their conversations when you dropped to your knees, ass up face down and took his feet into your mouth.
Sunoo choked on his spit, looking away as he coughed into his hand.
But you werenât done yet. You made sure to swirl your tongue around, looking up at him with wide eyes and arching your back further.
âFuck..â someone whistled out behind you.
A previous dare for Jungwon was to steal your panties using only his teeth, much to Sunooâs dismay. But in his defence it was before he knew that his best friend was fucking you.
So now you were flashing everyone behind you AND sucking on your exposed situationshipsâ toes.
Pulling off with a pop, you pulled down your dress as you made your way to your own seat, taking in the shocked and mildly turned on faces around you.
The guy from your economics class, Jisung, cleared his throat.
âYn, truth or dare?â he asked.
Sieun, who was still clinging to him began to protest. âThatâs not how the game- â
He covered her mouth with his hand.
âDare.â you firmly responded.
âI dare you to seven minutes in heaven with.. him.â
He pointed as Sunoo.
Of course, he pointed at Sunoo.
âOkay.â you shrugged standing up once again.
You yanked Sunoo off the couch and pulled him into the bathroom, locking the door behind you.
âThink you can last seven minutes?â he laughed in your face.
âGet in there.â you pointed towards the bathtub.
âWhy- ?â he questioned.
Your hand moved swiftly, slapping him across the face.
You gave him no time to react, pushing him backwards till he had to lift his legs to get into the tub.
He sank to lie down watching you flutter around the bathroom.
You came back with a towel, using it to tie his hands in front of him. A place where he couldnât touch you how he usually would.
âWhat are you doing?â he frowned.
âYouâre gonna shut up and take what Iâm giving you.â you ordered.
Your hips tentatively rolled against his, waiting for him to submit to you.
His body relaxed, hips coming up to meet yours harmoniously.
âI need more.â he grumbled while practically fucking you through his pants.
Heâd been hard since feeling your warm tongue on his feet and wasnât ashamed to say so.
âYouâll get more when I give you more.â
Your fingers trailed up his clothed chest, tweaking his sensitive nipples, causing him to let out the most pathetic moan you had ever heard leave his mouth.
The vibrations sent arousal gushing out of your pussy, extremely turned on by his submissive state.
You pulled down his pants as he used his tied hands to push your dress up to your hips.
âPlease, put it in.â he whined. âPlease, I need it!â
âBecause you asked so nicely,â
You sank down onto his length, moaning into his mouth at the stretch. Your tongue poked at his bottom lip, waiting for access to his mouth before kissing him passionately.
Bouncing at your own pace, you threw your head back in pleasure. Your dress straps fell at the violent thrust Sunoo plowed into you, shoving his face into the exposed territory.
âYnnie,â he cried. âPlease move faster.â
Your fingers wove their way into his hair, pulling back with force to make him look at you.
âSorry bunny, but you wonât get what you want.â you muttered. âYou tried to humiliate me in front of everyone, now Iâm gonna do the same to you.â
âPlease, no.â he whined dramatically.
âGonna make you go back to the game all hard and bothered. Gonna leave you begging me to fuck you in front of everyone.â You moaned at the fantasy in your mind. âYour cock is gonna feel so heavy and painful and I wonât help you.â
He thrust his hips up into you, chasing his high himself while crying at your words.
You could feel him clawing at your stomach, ignoring him in favour of your impending orgasm.
Your hips bounced faster, arms gripping onto his broad shoulders.
âItâs been seven minutes!â someone faintly shouted over the music from behind the door.
âFuck off!â you both shouted back.
Your hips began to falter, the pressure becoming heavier.
âIâm gonna cum, Iâm gonna- â
You stopped moving as your orgasm hit violently. Gasping and moaning into Sunooâs ear as he begged you to move.
Instead you lifted yourself off him, and got out of the bathtub, still shaking from your release.
âYnnie, please!â he cried, tears streaming down his face.
The sight before you almost made you cum on the spot.
His eyes were red and puffy from all the crying, tears soaking his shirt. His dick stood tall against his stomach, tip angry, red and twitching while he clawed his way out of the towel restraint.
âWhat do you want?â you glared, keeping up the act.
In reality you wanted nothing more than to give him everything he was begging for, but had to hold back for the sake of teaching him a lesson.
âPlease help me!â he begged. âPlease!â
You walked back over to him, wiping his tears away.
âMy bunny wants me to help him, huh?â you leaned in sympathetically. âBut why should I help you, when you didnât help me?â
âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry.â he babbled.
âBunny, calm down, itâs okay.â you soothed. âWhere do you want me?â
âWant your pussy, please.â he whined, hips trusting up at the thought.
âAwww..â you paused. âToo bad.â
His eyes darkened immediately.
Heâd let you have your fun but didnât expect you to actually consider leaving him high and dry.
âBaby.. I let you have your fun.â he slipped out of the restraints. âNow, youâre gonna give me what I want.â
You whined.
You fucking whined.
So much for being mean, you couldnât keep it up whenever he chose to speak to you like that.
âGet up.â he spoke slowly.
You didnât move out of curiosity.
He manhandled you, forcefully picking you up and throwing you out of the bathtub. Not stopping when you fell to your knees, he picked you up once again and bent you over the sink.
You watched him in the mirror as he grabbed your arms, holding them painfully behind your back.
âOw!â you cried out.
He smacked your ass in response.
âShut up, fuck.â
Without warning you, he slid into your mess and immediately began to thrust powerfully.
He blew your back in, laughing when your eyes rolled back.
âYou like that, huh?â he smirked.
One hand kept your arms in place while the other reached forward to grip your cheeks.
âLook at yourself, baby.â he teased. âLook at how big of a slut you are.â
You forced your tear filled eyes to watch him, taking in his disheveled appearance and tear stained cheeks.
âFuck! Iâm gonna cum!â
âNot yet.â he smacked your ass again. âBad girls donât get to cum.â
You sobbed, the need for another release approaching.
âIâll be good. I promise.â you attempted to grab him with your hands.
He grasped onto your outstretched hand.
âReally?â he asked, brows furrowed as he reached his own high. âFuck, youâre gripping me like a vice.
âBaby, please!â
âCum then.â he moaned.
You squeezed the last of his orgasm out of him as you clenched down onto his length, squirting all over his lower half.
âThat was so good.â you sighed, falling back into his embrace.
He nodded against your shoulder.
Once you both gained consciousness, Sunoo cleaned you up and helped you clean your running mascara.
âSo what are we after this..?â you puffed.
âEasy.â he pushed you off him.
âWhat a bitch.â you scoffed.
He playfully side eyed you before wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
You left the bathroom wrapped in his jacket and waved to your friends.
The two of you laughed at the shocked faces before you.
âItâs been 20 minutes you freaks.â Jake scrunched his nose in disgust.
Sunoo flipped him off before leading you out of the party, opting to have round 3 in the comfort of his apartment.

You had never been one to enjoy a battle as it was, but this one was really testing you.
A significant amount of your men had already been lost, and it was getting harder to push it from your mind. You stood your ground nonetheless, your lightsaber whirring in front of you, a blue shield that redirected the blaster bolts gunning for the men that still remained.
Your breath was heavy, ripping from you at a pace you could only beg the maker to allow you to keep. Your body was tired, but you kept your mind focused, tuned into your surroundings. You could only call on the force to aid you so much as you stayed resistant to you bodyâs pleas for rest, and so you pushed on, pursuing the enemy's left flank. A familiar shiver ran up your spine, and you whirled around, your eyes laying upon the unfolding scene that the force was warning you of.
âCaptain, watch out!â you called, sprinting in his direction, praying that you could get to him before the incoming commando droid made its attack.
Right before you reached his position, another commando leapt at you, drawing your focus. You made short work of it, slicing the arm that reached towards you before cutting a clean line through their middle. However, when you turned around, the other commando had clearly marked you as the more immediate threat, and you received a strong blow to your nose.
You stumbled backwards from the impact, and though the pain wasnât unbearable, tears filled your vision by way of simple biological response. The droid landed a forceful hit to your side before you realised that relying on your eyes was a hopeless pursuit. You instead placed your trust in the force, squeezing your eyes shut. You rolled forwards, the rough terrain biting into your robes, and turned back to face the droid, bringing the blade of your lightsaber up through the centre of it.
âThank you General!â Rex shouted over the soundscape of the battle, âAre you alright?â
âI will be onceââ you interrupted yourself with a sharp cough, âonce we push these kriffing clankersââ
âGeneral! Are you okay?â
Your vision was only just becoming clear again, but you didnât need to see to recognise who was speaking to you.
âYes Fives, Iâm fineâ you huffed as you blinked away your tears. Your eyes found the clone in question who looked visibly worried about you, his helmet clutched in his hand.
âAre you injured?â he asked hurriedly, ushering you behind some cover as a blaster bolt whizzed past, dangerously close to your cheek.
âNoâ you replied, the lie slipping from your tongue easily, âbut this isnât working. I think it might be time to start getting creativeâ
The corners of his lips lifted at that.
âGot it Generalâ he gave you a small salute, slipping his helmet back over his head, âSee you on the other sideâ
You watched him rush back into the battle, unable to contain the fond smile that broke out on your face. When you tried to re-join the battle yourself, the left side of your abdomen cried out, stopping you in your tracks. It didnât feel like anything was broken, but the commando droid had dealt you a nasty blow, and it was certain to be a painful bruise at the very least.
You quieted your mind, bringing your focus back to what was important as you stepped out from the cover. The war, the battle, victory.
When did you begin to care about such things?
Stepping off the gunship and aboard the Resolute, you fought to keep a heaving sigh from escaping your lips. Your face was the picture of stoicism, your mouth set in a hard line for fear that your emotions could bubble up and pour out of you at any second. This mission had well and truly pushed you to the limit.
You were ushered into a mission debrief immediately, though you were far from engaged. Your frown was evident to everyone around you, a deep crease set in your brow that anyone else would have thought was a scowl. The clones of the 501st knew better. You lost a lot of good men today. It was hard not to see it as a personal failure when they were placed under your command, but either way, the loss weighed heavily on your mind.
You started making your way back to your quarters after the debrief, though quickly found yourself just ambling about the ship, little care for where you were going.
Your mind was a mess.
You couldn't help but feel disillusioned by the whole ordeal. Talking with the other generals about the battle you had just been in, about the clones you lost, as if it were a necessary price to pay. You believed the teachings of the jedi, you believed they meant to do good, but for too long you had been nothing more than a soldier, a pawn in a game with no end in sight, and a meaning which still eluded you.
You couldn't begin to imagine how the clones felt about it all. They were made for this purpose, unlike you, but that was certainly more horrifying to think about. You were closer with your men than some of the other generals, and it sometimes felt like they were the only people you could truly trust. They were loyal, almost to a fault, and you made sure they knew how you felt about their place in everything. It had been hard going trying to convince some of them that they were worth the risk of protecting on the battlefield.
Though you tried to instil in all of them a sense of self worth, there were still those you were closer to than others. You were most familiar with Rex, given that he was your Captain, and you had spent a lot of downtime with Tup and Dogma as well.
And then there was Fives.
Something about your relationship with Fives had always felt different. From the first meeting, it had felt like there was something pulling you towards him, something you didn't want to acknowledge. You were eternally fascinated by his mind, his benevolence, and he had an irresistible charm to him that manifested in everything he did. Internally, you fought tooth and nail to let your mind be still around him, tune out the feelings he gave you, but it never seemed to quite work.
You knew you shouldn't be harbouring such feelings as a jedi, but you figured that maybe it wouldn't be a problem at all if you just ignored them. Safe to say, it didn't work.
It was a fool's errand really, there was no point in indulging in how you felt about him, but you did anyway. He made it difficult not to. The way he looked at you set your insides alive in a way that just hadn't happened with anyone else before. You couldn't help but dwell on what it would be like to forget all about your vows to the jedi order, and satiate your apparent need for him.
Though, you could at least have him to thank for keeping you in check at the very least. He refused to call you by your name, your rank being the more preferable nickname, and he was courteous to an almost ridiculous level. He walked the line between dutiful trooper and good friend masterfully, and you had to applaud his professionalism.
You didn't fully realise where your feet had taken you until you were standing in the doorway of the barracks, the clones inside turning to look at you.
âGeneralâ Jesse grinned up at you, âCome and join the game!â
You smiled weakly at him as you stepped into the room, ânot really in the mood Jesseâ
âCome onâ he dragged out the syllables in a mockingly whiny tone, âwe all know you're the best at Sabaccâ
You huffed a short laugh, âI still maintain that you're all just really badâ
âWell then feast your eyesâ he spread his arms, knocking Hardcase from his seat in the process.
You shook your head with a chuckle as the pair began playfully arguing, casting a glance around the room. You realised even before you'd taken a proper look that the one you really wanted to talk to wasn't there, the usual pull not drawing your attention.
âDogmaâ you placed your hand on his shoulder, the only clone that wasn't partaking in the game of Sabacc in some manner, âwhere are Tup and Fives?â
Dogma looked up at you, brows drawn together slightly as if in confusion. âFives was injured, Tup took him to the medbay when we got backâ he informed you, noting your growing stress immediately, âI'm sorry General, I thought you knewâ
âDon't be sorry Dogma, thank you for letting me knowâ
You sped out of the barracks before you could even hear the clone's reply, walking with haste in the direction of the injured trooper.
You tried to keep your worries at bay, but the growing sense of dread was gnawing at you. From the back of your mind, a guilt started to creep in. It was hard enough losing the amount of men that you had today, but losing Fives too would be a pain you couldn't return from. You couldn't let that happen, not on your watch.
The door to the medbay swung open as you barged your way in, heads turning in your direction at the intrusion. Your eyes quickly found Fivesâ, sat on a cot at the back of the room and talking to Tup. You made a beeline for him instantly.
âWhat happened? Where are you hurt?â you asked, eyes scanning over his form as you drew your brows into a deep frown. His armour was still intact, only his helmet taken off and resting beside him.
âGeneralâŚ?â Fives addressed you with a worried look, and it was then that you realised how heavily you were breathing. You had clearly been walking faster than you realised.
âI'm sorryâ you took a moment to catch your breath, a light blush dusting your cheeks, âDogma said you were hurt, Iââ
You then noticed the graze on his cheekbone. From the looks of it, it seemed that a blaster bolt had narrowly missed its mark, instead only scorching across the skin of his cheek.
âIs this it?â you asked, stepping forwards and gently tracing your fingers across the underside of the burn.
Fives didn't respond right away, and you felt his body go rigid under your touch.
âUm, itââ he cleared his throat, and you noticed his cheeks flush red, âyeah, Tup made me come in, it's just a scratch, nothing majorâ
âGoodâ you said softly, almost a whisper.
You gaze lingered on him as you took your hand away, noting the way his brows scrunched upwards, his eyes seemingly searching yours for some kind of explanation as to your suddenly affectionate actions.
Tup cleared his throat, snapping you both from your trance, and Fives shifted in his seat. It was only by his leg grazing yours that you realised that you'd wound up standing between his legs, and you stepped backwards quickly, trying to act unphased despite the blush you could feel creeping up the back of your neck.
âDid you need me for anything, General?â Fives spoke awkwardly, using his hands all too much for how much he was saying.
âNo, yeah, just wanted toâ I mean, yeaâ Noâ you stuttered out, and heard Tup fail to suppress a laugh.
You scolded yourself internally for being so affected by him, to the point where you were acting completely strange in front of your men. You really shouldn't give in so easily. You had done so much training in keeping your mind from seeking selfish desires, but those parts of your mind seemed to shut down around Fives.
It occurred to you then that you'd never so much as touched him before, and his alarmed reaction suddenly made a whole lot of sense. It also made you realise that he'd never touched you either, and you felt your face heat even more at your foolishness.
âIâll just see you laterâ you mumbled out, realising you had just been staring at him for a moment too long.
Fives watched you leave the medical bay with a furrowed brow, though Tup, on the other hand, was smirking broadly.
In the dead of night, when everyone else was most likely in the deepest part of their sleep, your mind was still active, working overtime, and keeping you as awake as you had been during the battle. Everything you believed in was being thrown into question, it was hard not to. Then, at the centre of it all, was Fives. Fives, who was always on your mind. Fives, who always reminded you why you felt like this, just when you thought you'd gotten over it. Fives, who was respectful and affable and professional in a way that made you crazy.
You became distracted from your thoughts when you heard something outside your room. A shadow appeared beneath the door to the corridor, waited for a moment, and then disappeared again. It happened a few times before your curiosity overwhelmed you, and you quietly lifted yourself from your cot to walk over.
You let the person walk away once more, waiting to see what they would do, and this time it seemed like they wouldn't come back. Though, after a short while, the shadow returned, and you opened up your door.
Much to your surprise, your eyes met those of the man that plagued your thoughts, and he was clearly just as surprised that you had opened the door.
âGeneral! I'm so sorry, Iâll jusââ
âFives, relaxâ
You put your hand on his shoulder, and as he was not adorned by his usual armour, he looked as if your touch had burnt into him, wincing.
âWhat brings you here? Is everything alright?â you asked, noting his somewhat distressed visage.
âEverything is fine General, I'm sorry for disturbing your sleepâ he spoke quickly, starting to walk away.
âFivesâ you grabbed his arm to stop him leaving, âI wasn't asleep. Tell me what's troubling youâ
There were more emotions than you could name flitting through his eyes, and it worried you. You had never seen him like this. His eyes flicked down your figure, no doubt noticing how you hadn't yet changed from your robes and armour, and you realised that your face was most likely still smeared with dirt.
âWould you like to come in?â you asked softly when he didnât reply.
Fives looked startled, âIâ I shouldn'tâ
You sighed, frowning a little, âI'm not really concerned with what you should or shouldn't do. If it would ease your mind, I'd like you to come inâ
His distressed expression relented enough to see that your words had hit home for him. You stepped to the side, inviting him inside and he waited for another second before entering. You closed the door behind you and went back over to your cot, though Fives was still standing awkwardly by the door.
âWould you like to sit down?â you asked, patting your hand on the cot next to you.
Fives did as you said, as if it were a command, and you wished for just one moment that he would stop seeing you as nothing more than his commanding officer. He was wringing his hands as he took his seat, and you only became more worried.
âNow, tell me what's on your mindâ
He looked up to you and paused, before looking away again, âI couldn't sleepâ
You nodded, encouraging him to go on, âwhy not?â
âIââ his eyes found yours again, a vulnerability shining in them that you had only seen a few times, âI was worried about you Generalâ
âAbout me?â your brow furrowed on instinct, âwhy?â
âI don't mean this rudely, but⌠you were acting kind of weird earlier, I only wanted to make sure you were alrightâ
Your frown softened at his words, a small smile appearing, and you placed a hand on his arm, âthank you Fives, that's very considerate, but you don't have to worry about meâ
Fives gave you a funny sort of look, as if you'd just said something preposterous, âI'll always worry about you General, It's our jobâ my job to look after youâ
You couldn't help but smile at how sweet he was, but it was tinged with a sadness of remembering the power imbalance between you. You had always tried to minimise it â you saw your life as the same value as the clones â but you knew that they didn't see it that way, and neither did anyone else.
You sighed, moving your gaze to the floor in front of you as you pulled your knees to your chest, âtoday was just⌠difficultâ
Fives nodded in understanding, watching as your carefully constructed noble exterior began to crumble away.
âIt's hard not to feel like everything is pointless, for nought. We lost so many men today, men that Iââ you paused before you could get too choked up, âit's hard to tell people that their life has value when it's not treated as suchâ
Fives breathed out a long breath, âmyself and my brothers are prepared to die for you, General, as much as youââ
âWell I don't want thatâ you almost snapped at him, your frown showing how you disapproved of the comment, âI didn't ask for this, forââ
You knew you shouldn't go on. Fives didn't need to know that you were questioning the order and your place in the war. It wasn't for him to bear the burden of.
âToday was toughâ he agreed in a soft voice, and your eyes flicked to the now almost healed burn across his cheek, âit didn't feel like a win, at the end of the dayâ
You hummed in agreement. No victory could make up for the loss you felt.
âIt makes meâŚangry, and I shouldn't beâ you admitted quietly, and you could feel the weight of his gaze as you forced your eyes away from him.
You wanted to confide in Fives. He made it so easy, made you feel so safe. Safe enough to tell him your darkest secrets and deepest desires, but you knew no good could come of it. What point was there in telling a soldier under your command that you didn't believe in what he was specifically created to do?
âGeneralâ Fives called gently, if a little insistently, and you realised that you had completely zoned out.
âSorry, what?â you looked up at him, blinking a few times and lifting your chin from where it rested on your knees.
âI asked why you were still wearing your armour⌠and your robesâ
âOhâ you looked down at yourself, âI⌠I don't know. I was distracted, I supposeâ
Fives sighed a little, giving you a somewhat unimpressed look.
âWhat?â you asked, almost a chuckle.
âI think I was right to be worried about you, Generalâ his unimpressed expression invaded his words, and you let out a breathy laugh.
âI'm fine, Fives â really. I just need to⌠wash the day off, probablyâ
âYeah, you certainly doâ he mumbled out, a small smirk lifting his lips.
You scoffed at him as you stood from your cot, âyou're lucky I like you Fives. Any other commanding officer would send you to the brig for telling them they stinkâ
He chuckled and ducked his head slightly, âI didn't just mean it like that. You've gotâŚâ he gestured to his cheek, and you caught your reflection as you turned on the refresher light, taking his meaning.
âMaker, I can't believe I looked this awful the whole time and you didn't say anythingâ you laughed quietly, taking in your certainly battle-worn appearance.
There was dirt crusted onto your face and into your hair, and the eyebags that weighed down the skin under your eyes were more prominent than you'd seen in a long time. The war was clearly stretching you thin, and you sighed at how dull and lifeless you looked overall.
âI'll have a showerâ you gave Fives a weak smile as you crossed the room to your chest of drawers, pulling out a fresh set of sleep clothes.
Fives shifted uncomfortably on the bed, âuhâ do you want me to leave?â
âOhâ you spoke a little disappointedly, âif you would like to. It is late after all, and I donât wish it keep you from your sleepâ
âNo, Iââ he cleared his throat, âI justâ I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable, Generalâ
You smiled at him warmly, your hand coming to rest on your hip, âyou're not making me uncomfortable. In fact, it's nice to have you hereâ
His throat constricted as he swallowed, âthank you, Generalâ
You rolled you eyes at the formality as you stepped back into the refresher once more.
âOne of these days I'll get you to stop calling me thatâ you grumbled, and heard a huffed laugh coming from your room.
âProbably notâ
You rested against the doorframe for a moment to look at the ARC trooper who was sat on your cot with a playful squint of your eyes, âthat's not very dutiful of you, trooperâ
âI didn't hear any ordersâ he shrugged, failing to suppress a smirk.
âMmâ you hummed thoughtfully, pushing off the doorframe, âdon't tempt meâ
You closed the door to the refresher and let out a long breath.
It felt oddly domestic, Fives sat on your cot as you threw teases his way before you went in the shower. Something inside you ached at the realisation that it would be something you'd never get to do under any normal circumstances. You longed to see a day when it would be acceptable in the eyes of those around you, but you knew you'd never see it. You felt hollow as you stepped into the shower.
You let the water wash over you, clearing dirt and grime with every droplet. Before long, you found yourself curled up and sat under stream of water, letting the weight of it hit your back as you cradled your head. Everything felt so crushing in that moment. The war, the day's losses, your duty as a jedi, a duty that you weren't sure you even understood anymore.
You didnât realise how long you'd been sat there until you heard a gentle rapping against the door.
âGeneral, are you okay?â
You sniffled, and only realised then that you had been crying. Perhaps Fives had heard you.
âI'm fineâ you called weakly, âI'll be out soonâ
You finished cleaning yourself mindlessly, fingers tangling in your hair as you worked the dirt out of it and letting the heat of the steam envelop you, almost making you feel feint. You welcomed it, a strange state of delirium that pushed your mind to a stillness. You slid on your clean clothes, a soft vest and shorts, beginning to dry your hair as you reopened the door to your room.
Fives still sat on the cot, and you gave him a gentle smile as you switched off the light. His eyes trailed the length of your body quickly before settling on your face, giving you a soft smile in return.
âFeel better?â he asked.
You nodded, reaching up to continue drying your hair with your towel, âyeah, Iââ
âGeneral!â Fivesâ eyes went wide and he jumped up from his seat, rushing over to you.
You stepped back as he approached, confused by his sudden outburst. His hand retracted from where it reached out towards you and his eyes found yours once more, a look of something desperate in his eyes.
âI didn't know you were injured. Why didn't you get Kix to look at it?â
âWhat?â you frowned, looking down at your body.
You top had obviously rode up a little as you had stretched, and the bottom of a very dark, and very large, bruise poked out the bottom. You peeled up the top gently, conscious not to show too much, but equally revelling in how it just seemed to grow ever larger the more you revealed. Your hip and the left side of your ribcage were a mix of unpleasant purples, blues, and yellows.
âIâ I forgotâ you breathed out, remembering exactly when you would have sustained the injury. As expected, the commando droid had left a mark.
âYou forgot?â Fives asked, incredulous.
You pulled your vest down, covering the offending mark.
âYou need to get it checked outâ Fives insisted.
âI'm fine, it doesn't even hurtâ you replied, waving him off as you took your seat on your cot once more, against the headboard so that you faced the clone who stood across the room.
âGeneral, pleaseâ
He retook his spot on the cot, giving his best pleading look. You didn't reply, and couldn't, for fear of the undignified squeak that would come out if you did. His eyes flicked between yours, searching for whatever it was that was going on behind them. You couldn't help the way your eyes began to water, and the distress on Fivesâ face was clear as day.
âGeneralâ he spoke softly as he shifted closer to you, as if the rank was an affectionate nickname more than anything, âwhat's the matter?â
You fiddled with your fingers as you brought your knees to your chest once more, a comforting gesture as you showed far more vulnerability than you were usually comfortable with.
âThings aren't how they should be, Fivesâ you muttered, almost a whisper.
âWhat things?â he asked, innocently enough, though the way his body tensed told you how the words worried him.
âIâ I'm really beginning to question some of the decisions of the councilâ
Fives looked alarmed, his voice betraying him further, âyou're not going to leave, are you?â
You chuckled a little at his reaction, âprobably not, noâ
âThenâŚâ he paused, not wishing to overstep any boundaries, âwhat decisions are you questioning?â
You sighed deeply, looking away in search of answers. What were you really questioning? Was it just the way that they conducted themselves in the war? Or did your suspicion run deeper? Was it the members of the council themselves? Was it what they believed? Or was it how the jedi were perceived by the galaxy?
âI don't knowâ you answered truthfully, âthere are things Iâve always had qualms with â Iâve never understood some things such as⌠I feel that attachment is a natural part of the human condition, so Iâve always struggled with letting go, but⌠with the war, I worry that the purpose of the jedi is changingâ
âChanging how?â Fives asked.
âThe war means we have different prioritiesâ you replied simply, turning you gaze back to him, âweâre no longer keepers of the peace. We canât be, not while weâre leading a warâ
Fives nodded and kept quiet for a moment. It was clear that his mind was working overtime, his eyes flitting across your face and around the room as his brows drew together and he subtly chewed on the inside of his cheek.
âYou struggle with letting go?â he questioned in a quiet voice, his eyes locking with yours. There was something in his gaze, like he was searching for a specific answer.
You tried to quell your sudden nerves with a gulp, âyesâ
âIn what way?â
âUm, well Iââ you spoke ever so eloquently, âI suppose I havenât always succeeded in remaining⌠disconnected, from other peopleâ
Fives couldnât help but raise a questioning brow, and you almost scoffed.
âIâ youâ itâs hardâ you grumbled, a frustrated huff escaping you, âyou and the other clones are all under my command, how am I supposed to just not care about you?â
Fives shrugged, a small smile spreading across his lips, âsome of the other Generals seem to manageâ
âWhateverâ you rolled your eyes a little, âI donât want to be indifferent. Youâre important to me, and I donât care what the council would have to say about thatâ
Fivesâ smile tightened almost imperceptibly at your words, but you still caught the way it became false as he turned to look at the ground.
âIs there⌠something else troubling you?â you asked, tilting your head so that you entered his field of view.
âItâs nothing, Generalâ he flashed the hollow smile your way as he stood from the cot, âI should really be goingââ
âFivesâ you grabbed his wrist gently, stopping him from going any further, âwhatâs the matter?â
The way he looked down at you was almost pained, like heâd been wounded and was trying his best to hide the discomfort. Your stomach lurched at the sight, and a worried crease formed in your brow.
âThere are some things I canât say to you Generalâ he spoke sadly, and the combination of his words with that tone made your heart ache.
âYou can tell me anything, you know thatâ you replied, your voice more desperate than you had intended.
Fives just shook his head slowly, continuing to look at you with some form of anguish swimming in his amber eyes.
âFives, talk to me. What is it?â you urged, standing up so that you were almost chest to chest with him.
âI want to tell you⌠everythingâ he paused, stepping away from you so your hand fell from his wrist, âbut I canâtâ
You shifted closer to him again, âwhy not?â
âItâs⌠inappropriate, frowned uponâ
You dropped your head to the side, looking at him with a little suspicion, âare you in some kind of trouble?â
âIn a wayâ he chuckled, though it was strained.
âFivesâ you said his voice in a serious tone, akin to one you might use when commanding your men, âwhat is this about?â
He blew out a long breath, his eyes focused on anything but yours, âitâs⌠youâ
âMe?â your eyebrows raised, âwhat about me?â
âEverything about youâ he said softly in a wistful sigh.
âI donât understand. Have I upset you?â you asked, trying to catch his gaze.
âNo, no. You couldnâtâ
You hesitated for a moment, then gently took his hands in yours, earning a sharp intake of breath, âplease help me to understandâ
âIââ his breath stuttered as he tried to find the right words to use, âyou make me feel things that Iâm not supposed to, Generalâ
Your eyes widened slightly, your own breath quickening as his words sunk in.
âItâs hard not to. YouâŚâ he continued, tightening his grip on your hands and bringing them to his chest, âYou're the epitome of grace, but also strength. You're⌠soft, gentle, and caring beyond measure, but also tough, fierce and ruthless to a degree I've never seen. You're level-headed, but foolish when it comes to that which you care about, and it's that display of humanity thatââ he gulped, his gaze softening at just the idea of it, âit makes my heart ache for you. I know that Iâm just a soldier to you but Iâ I'd give myself to you, over and over, even if every time it ended in tragedy, because there is no life I could live where youâre not a part of it, even if thatâs just as my General. I'd do anything you asked, I'd die by your hand if you willed it, but I know that you'd never ask anything like that of me, and that's why I'm⌠in pain. Because I'd give everything to you, and you'd never take itâ
It was hard to believe what you were hearing. You couldn't help the way tears gathered in your waterline at the affectionate words he was saying, observations about you that you had no idea he had been making. You had never realised that he cared so much, so deeply, in the same way that you cared for him. But the one thing that truly stumped you, was that Fives was genuinely convinced that you held no affections for him, that you just saw him in the same way you saw the rest of your men.
âOh Fivesâ you spoke no louder than a whisper, releasing your hand from his to trail your fingers along his jaw and gently hold his face. His eyes fluttered shut, and an uneasy breath escaped him as he leaned into your palm with a pained expression. âYou're right, I wouldn't ask anything of youâ
The hurt was so clear in the depths of his eyes when they opened again. He tried to pull away but your other hand found his face, keeping his gaze locked on you.
âBut⌠that doesn't mean that I don't want toâ
His eyes widened at your words, but he stayed silent, as if waiting for you to continue. His gaze flicked to your lips momentarily, but it was clear that he wouldn't let himself indulge in his thoughts, that it had to be on your terms. You didn't know whether you agreed.
You took the lead nonetheless, guiding his head down to touch your forehead to his. Closing your eyes and focusing your energy on where your bodies connected, you reached out through the force. You tried to communicate to Fives all of the feelings that swirled within you, a cacophony of everything good and pure, manifested in a blending of colours and sensations, with a palette only holding the most pleasant colours. Deep blues waged war with vivid reds, a careful dance of remorse and desire, but atop all of it, a sense of calm.
You opened your eyes and met Fivesâ gaze, a tenderness woven into the amber hues. That same calm feeling washed over you. You had always felt safe with him, and it went far beyond him being a more than capable soldier.
His mouth hung open fractionally, and you couldn't help but let your eyes wander across his face, taking in every freckle and scar en route to his lips. You tilted your face upwards tentatively, and Fives let out a shuddering breath. You could feel it on your lips, and it took everything within you not to shiver.
âWaitâ his voice was quiet, but you heard the word clearly.
You pulled backwards, looking up at him expectantly, and watched his throat bob as he swallowed.
âIf you start this, I donât know that Iâll be able to stopâ
You let a small smile lift the corners of your mouth, dropping your head to the side a little, âisn't that kind of the point?â
Fives let out a short exasperated laugh, âI mean it, General. Please⌠don't give me something without giving me everything, because I can'tââ
âFivesâ you called firmly, rubbing your thumb across his cheek to gain his full attention, âI need you to hear me, loud and clearâ
His expression was still hesitant, but he nodded for you to continue.
âI do not say this lightly. You have made it very hard for me to follow the very ideals I am supposed to uphold from the moment you walked into my life. Though, it is not your fault, itâs mine. I could have made myself scarce, I could have tried to stay away, to let my feelings die out, but instead, I chose to nurture them. It would be easy to say that I donât know why I did, to pretend itâs all some plot against me, but I do. Itâs becauseâŚâ you took a deep breath, âeven though it will undoubtedly end in tragedy, I too cannot see my life without you in it, and I would give myself to you, I will give myself to you, because I am finally being honest with myself. I can finally admit that I care for you more than ideals that I would not chose for myself if my life was any differentâ
Fivesâ eyes widened with each word you spoke, though ended up with a look of guilt plastered on his face.
âGeneral, I canât allow you abandon your beliefs, not for me. Iâm sorry, I didnât mean toââ
âNo Fives, itâs me that should apologiseâ you sighed, âI didnât want to put you in this position, but I will not choose this for you. You have been afforded so little choice in your life, and I will not take away this one when it would have far more severe repercussions for you than for meâ
Fives just stared at you with a plain expression, âyou would have me? If I wanted that?â
âI want whatever you wantâ
âI want youâ he replied breathlessly, bringing his forehead down to yours once more.
You smiled, âthen you have meâ
Fives immediately brought his lips to yours, all the hurriedness of the action melting away as he got his first taste of you. His mouth was heavy against yours, reaching inside you and stealing all of the breath from your lungs in a slow rhythm.
The way his lips tangled with yours was sending your mind into overdrive, though his hands remained firmly planted at his sides. Your own hands were on him; on his chest, in his hair, pulling him closer, and it was as if his brain was short circuiting. As if he'd spent so long trying not to touch you that he didn't even know what to do with himself.
âFivesâ you mumbled against his lips, âyou can touch meâ
He breathed out heavily as he pulled away momentarily, âare you sure? I-â
âPleaseâ you said desperately
Without need to be told again, he was groaning into your mouth, pulling you closer by your waist, fingers gripping onto your hips tightly and bringing you into his lap as he fell back on the cot. His hands began to map your body, covering every inch of skin he could find. For all that it felt like he had been restraining himself from touching you before, it seemed that now that he had got his hands on you, he wasnât going to let go.
âI canât believe this is happeningâ He breathed out as your lips travelled along his jaw.
You smirked at his aporetic tone, âAnd why's that?â
âI just didn't thinkââ his breath hitched as you found a sensitive spot behind his ear, âdidnât think you saw me this wayâ
âHope you're not still thinking thatâ you mumbled against his skin.
âIt's a little hard when you'reââ you rolled your hips forwards, earning an uneasy groan from the man whose lap you were on, ââdoing thatâ
âA little hard, huh?â you teased.
âGeneralâŚâ he growled in your ear and your lips curled into a satisfied smirk.
âWhat?â you spoke into his ear, in a voice as sweet and innocent as you could muster.
âYou're playing a dangerous gameâ
âAm I?â You tangled your fingers in his hair, lightly pulling down as you found that spot behind his ear once more.
He let out a breathy groan, âfuck. General, you canâtââ
âCanât what?â you interrupted, repeating the action.
âAlright, thatâs itâ
His hands gripped your hips tightly as he flipped the two of you over. He pressed his body into yours, taking your hands in his and intertwining your fingers as he pinned them to the cot. His kisses became even more heated, lips devouring yours and resting his weight into you. The intensity drew a small moan from the back of your throat, and Fives seized the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. Your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist, drawing him even closer.
âFuckâ he hissed, âhave you done this before?â
âKind ofâ
He laughed, a breath huffed onto your lips, âkind of?â
âI might haveââ your breath stuttered, his lips on your neck stopping your words, ââfooled around with someone a bit, before I took my vowsâ
Fives tutted, and you could feel him smirking against your skin as he dragged his lips across your pulse point, âand I thought you were a good jediâ
âLooks like any hopes of that have been lost nowâ you replied breathlessly, your head dropping against the mattress to allow him better access.
Fives chuckled, his thumbs rubbing circles against your palms, âlooks that wayâ
His voice rumbled through your body, the reverberations sending waves of heat through your limbs. Your hand broke free from his hold as he danced his fingers across your thigh, and you took the opportunity to slide it underneath his blacks, feeling the warmth of his skin.
As if your actions were a command, Fives pulled away from you, just long enough to reach for his neck and slip off his top, never once taking his eyes from you. You ran your hands along his bare abdomen as he sat back, and he watched you take in his exposed form.
You were met by tanned skin, marked by the horrors of war; scars that wouldn't heal and surely cut deeper than the flesh. You outlined the more prominent marks with your first finger, before resting your hand against his chest, your gaze lifting to his face once more.
âStars, Fives. Youâre gorgeousâ
He smirked a little, tracing his fingers over your waist, ânothing compared to youâ
âI mean it, Iâ Maker, Iâve wanted you for so longâ
You could see the way his eyes lit up at the comment, and he gripped onto your hip once more, âThatâs high praise indeed, coming from youâ
You rolled your eyes playfully, âJust let me compliment youâ
His smirk dissolved into a beaming grin as he trapped your head between his forearms. âNoâ he said simply, and any protests died on your lips as he captured them between his own.
Kissing Fives, being intimate with him in this way, just felt right. It felt as if it had always been this way, as if it wasn't something new. The way he touched you like he knew your body like the back of his hand, the way his force signature melded with yours as if they were one, it all felt so familiar.
When he slid his hands under your vest, and you peeled it from your body, somewhere in your mind you thought you should be nervous. No one else had ever seen you so exposed, but Fivesâ adoring gaze, the way he was drinking in your body, his featherlight touches as he ran his fingers up your sides, you couldn't help but feel safe.
âYouâre so beautifulâ
He said it like it was a sinful confession, his words dripping with such devotional adoration that you couldn't help the blush that arose across your cheeks. He kissed down the valley of your breasts, mumbling fragments of acclamatory phrases as if he didn't have the breath to finish them. Your blood heated at his words. It sounded as if he were drunk, whispering secrets he wouldn't otherwise confess to.
âSo pretty for meâ you heard him say against your skin, and it drew a forceful shudder from you.
His hands were all over you as he continued to kiss down your body. Kneading your hips, caressing your breasts, stroking along your thighs. Every touch sent desire coursing through your veins. He knelt at your feet as he met the edge of the bed, pulling you towards him.
âGeneral, can Iââ
âAre you seriously calling me that right now?â you looked down at him in disbelief. He was in between your legs, asking to take down your nightwear and still calling you by your rank.
He let out a short self deprecating laugh.
âWhat would you like me to call you?â he asked, playing with the hem of your sleep shorts.
âI do have a name, you knowâ you informed him.
âI do know thatâ he chuckled with a fond smile, hooking his fingers into the waistband of your shorts, âis that what youâd prefer?â
You raised an eyebrow at him, coming to rest on your elbows, âyou have another idea?â
âI have a fewâ he smirked, beginning to slowly pull down your shorts. âBeautiful, gorgeous, prettyâŚâ he trailed off as he helped you detangle your legs from the nightwear.
You were now laid out completely bare to him and he had to take a deep breath, letting out a low whistle before he could start talking again.
âThen thereâs always darlingâ he continued, pressing a kiss to your knee, his eyes finding yours again. âSweetheartâ he trailed kisses up your inner thigh and your breath became increasingly short, âor even⌠mesh'la, cyar'ikaâ
He placed his final kiss at the very top of your thighs, right beside where you ached for him the most, and the feeling of his hot breath against your core made your head drop back and your eyes flutter shut.
âKriff, I donât care. Call me whatever you wantâ you heard yourself say.
Fivesâ eyes darkened as he softly chuckled, âAlright jetii'ika, be a good girl and lay back for meâ
You obliged with a heavied sigh, and Fivesâ grin only widened. Without much warning, his tongue found its place at the apex of your thighs, and all processing in your brain cut out.
The sound, let alone the sensation of him lapping at you was enough to twist your stomach with pleasure. His tongue worked with expert precision, the same precision you saw from his work on the battlefield, and suddenly you no longer scolded yourself for getting turned on by how good of a soldier he was.
He gripped your thighs as he brought you closer to him, his mouth consuming you and taking every ounce of pleasure with it. It was as if pulling this pleasure from you was second nature, as if it were his true duty to you. He was no longer a soldier of the GAR, he was the lone trooper in the invasion of your psyche, and he knew every trick to wind his way in.
You couldn't help the lewd sounds you were making. You had envisioned this situation far too often, but anything that Fives did was far exceeding your expectations. With every stroke of his tongue, every light graze of his teeth against your sensitive bundle of nerves, you drew closer to the edge, your insides constricting in pleasure and red hot desire.
Between swift motions of his tongue and lips, Fives let out his own pleasured noises, deep groans that reverberated against you and only sent you tumbling further towards release. He spoke honeyed words of praise against you, telling you how much he'd wanted this, how long he'd waited to taste you.
White hot bliss ran through your veins as Fives worked you through your high, taking every last drop of what you gave him. His large hands gripped your thighs and forced them open, not relenting until you had come down from the intensity of your release.
Your chest heaved as he pulled away, coming to rest his weight against your side. Your mouth hung open to collect your breath as he took your face in his hand, running his thumb along your cheekbone with the most adoring look plastered on his face.
âYou okay?â he asked softly.
âYeahâ you breathed out, a little chuckle following, âgreatâ
He grinned, obviously proud of his handiwork, âyou reckon you can give me another?â
Your eyes widened a little as your mouth curled into its own grin, and he pressed his body into yours, making you have to bite down on your bottom lip to supress a moan quite unsuccessfully.
âCan I take that as a yes?â he smirked at your reaction.
A laugh escaped you, âyou canâ
He was then kissing you again, this time more unhurried, and you could taste yourself on his tongue. The intimacy of it made your head spin, which was only intensified when he lifted himself from you and removed his remaining pieces of clothing.
Watching him kneel between your legs in all his glory, even before he entered you, you thought that you could probably die happy now. There was no better feeling than that which you felt around Fives, and now, with his bare skin on yours, limbs slotting and tangling together, you felt complete.
Your bodies melded together, becoming one, and all you could see and feel was him, as if he was all that existed in the cruel galaxy you both inhabited. His eyes pierced yours as his face hovered above you, watching how he affected you. You placed your hand on his face, drawing his forehead to yours once more, and he turned his head to place a sweet kiss against your palm, even in the intense passion of the moment.
There was something so deeply arousing about how you were usually the one in control of everything, a legion of troopers at your command, but here, right now, Fives was the one in control of you. It was a welcome reprieve, but you wouldn't take it from anyone else. That much was obvious to Fives, the way you were writhing beneath him told him so.
With every action he took, he made time to worship every inch of your body, kissing your skin with a such a reverence that you had never received from anyone else in such a way. By the time your second release was washing over you, you were begging for him to follow you over the edge, and him being a obedient trooper, doing anything for his General, he accommodated your unholy pleas.
You remained joined as you both caught your breath once more, basking in the sweet ecstasy of your mutual fulfilment. You had never felt such euphoria.
Fives gulped at he looked into your eyes, a reservation about him.
âWhat is it?â you prompted, taking his face if your hands.
He sighed, a delighted sound that made your heart sing, âwhat happens now?â
You didn't necessarily want to think about it. All of the problems that you had described to Fives would still stand when your left the comfort of his embrace, but equally, something felt as if it had shifted. Fives was yours, and you were his. That was significant to you, and something about it made you feel invincible in that moment.
âI don't knowâ you admitted, wishing you could give a better answer, âbut I'm not letting you out of my sights now, thatâs for sureâ
He grinned down at you as he tightened his hold, âYou stole my lineâ
You laughed blithely, your head thrown back on the mattress as you revelled in the feeling of him against you for a long as you could.
âWell, I'm glad you feel the sameâ you conceded, your voice portraying a teasing edge, though your amiable smile gave away the sincerity of the comment.
âOh jetii'ika, I don't even have the words to describe how I truly feelâ he spoke earnestly, an affectionate smile lifting his lips as he brushed some hair away from your forehead and planted a kiss on the unveiled skin.

5. Neighbors đ
Summary: First he was your neighbor, then your friend, now yourâŚValentine?
Pairing: Jax Teller x female reader
Warnings: none that I can think of
Word count: 683
A/N: Haven't written for Jax in forever and somehow forgot that he's just so prettyyyyyy

The knock on your door was sharp yet soft as it rang out. It startled you, your phone tumbling from your hand and onto your lap as you cursed. Hand to your chest, you smiled knowing exactly who it was at your door just by the knock. You trotted up and unlocked your door, unsurprised to see Jax standing there with a lopsided smile. You were surprised, however, to see his hands. His arms were cradling a bouquet of pink roses, a pink teddy bear, a heart-shaped carton of chocolates, and a card. He shifted his weight to his other foot awkwardly, his smile warm but nervous-looking now.Â
"Good afternoon, darlin'."Â
You blinked, feeling heat starting to rise up on your cheeks and ears.Â
"Good afternoon, Jax."Â
He wiggled his arms a bit, his own cheeks taking on the slightest of a pink hue.Â
"I remember you saying that you didn't have a Valentine this year, or any of the other years for that matter. So I figured I'd spoil you."Â
Your heart thumped in your chest, your lips forming into a smile of their own accord.Â
"I...I don't know what to say."Â
The Son grinned, his boyish charm ever-present.Â
"Thank you would be fine."Â
You chuckled, willing the heat that prickled the tips of your ears to go away.Â
"Thank you, Jax."Â
You opened the door wide and let him into your home, not for the first time. He was your neighbor going on a year, and the both of you had enjoyed each other's company on and off in the recent months. He was a single dad and you were just single, both of you forming a friendship that every now and then seemed to be just a little bit more than that. You had a crush on him for a while now, late-night deep conversations making you fall for him on the nights when you watched the boys if needed. You'd learned about him and in turn, he'd learned about you. Which was exactly why he was here now.Â
He placed the items down on your counter and turned back to face you with a suddenly sheepish smile.Â
"Figured you didn't have a Valentine and neither did I, so it only made sense right?"Â
You nodded, butterflies in your stomach.Â
"I feel bad, I didn't get you anything. I didn't want to seem,..."
You trailed off and the Son smirked.Â
"Forward?"
You nodded and let out a soft laugh. I also didn't know if I had been reading too much into things."Â
Jax leaned back against your counter, and shrugged, blue eyes sparkling as they gazed at you.Â
"No reading too much into anything here. I'll have you if you'll have me."Â
He was playing it off cool, but the truth was he was just as nervous as you. He liked you, had for a while now, but shared the same apprehension as you. What if you were just being nice? What if you only wanted to be friends? What if he had just too much baggage? But seeing your giddiness, he knew the feeling was mutual. You smiled softly, his eyes drawn to the warmth of your smile and your eyes and he held both hands out towards you. Steps slow, you made your way up to him, placing your hands into his and sighing happily as they closed around yours. He tugged you into him suddenly, laughing at the gasp you let out as you tumbled into his chest. He placed his hands on your waist respectfully high and squeezed, his smile fading as he looked at you.Â
"I mean it. I like you. The boys like you. I'd say it's fair that you like me. So,"
His thumb was gentle as it traced circles into your side and you nodded softly, hands coming up to rest on his shoulders, the flannel warm and comforting under your fingertips.Â
"If you're asking me to be your Valentine this year, then yes. I will."Â
Jax grinned, his perfect teeth on full display.Â
"And the years after that if I'm lucky."

Mionn's art & writing ship trade event
(Click the art for better quality!)
I'm hosting an art & writing event centered around ships & duos (multifandom)!
đ¤ REBLOGS ARE SUPER APPRECIATED
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
I've recently reached 200 followers on this blog, 900 on my meme blog, and 100 on Instagram!! Honestly, I don't even know what to say... I feel so damn honored and am so grateful for the support!! đ¤đ¤đ
As a multi-milestone celebration as well as an event for the official Spade of Storms (Deuce x Allen) day, which is on the 27th of July, I decided to host a TRADE EVENT!!!
Basically, this event is going to be an open art/writing trade that's all about ships (or platonic duos).
The event starts on 7/23 (today) and lasts for rest of July as well as for the entirety of August. For every Allen x Deuce art/writing that I receive during this duration, you get one of your own ship from ANY FANDOM back!
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
Why am I hosting this?
it's a way to thank everyone for three different follower milestones
a contest/DTIYS/raffle wouldn't promise that everyone gets something back, so I went for a trade event
the event allows me to post more about other canon TWST characters and draw them while not having to neglect Allen x Deuce
I wanna make new mutuals & friends, get to know more ships, and strengthen friendships with mutuals I already have!
Artfight is/was tons of fun, but I only do/did colored sketches there & ships are a tricky subject. Meanwhile, I'll do ANYTHING here!
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
Basic information:
Make a drawing/writing/comic of Allen x Deuce. (Ideas can be found in this post's pink "starters for my ship" section.)
Post it on your blog, tag me in it, and refer to my event. (While posting is by far preferred â especially for bigger artworks and written stuff â you can also just DM it to me.)
In return, you'll receive a gift of the same type for your own ship from any fandom (OC x canon, canon x canon, OC x OC)! I'll DM you about the ship, so make sure that your DMs are open.
For example: If you submit a sketch, you'll get a sketch back. If you submit a fully shaded drawing, I'II make a fully shaded drawing for you, too. If you add a background, I'll (do my best to) do the same. If you write a drabble... You know the drill!
ANYONE can join, whether you follow me or not! However, new followers through the event are super appreciated!
EVENT TIME: July 23th (today) - August 31st
Anything submitted before or after this event duration will not receive anything back (unless we explicitly do a trade), but be held in high regard nonetheless!
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
Rules:
The portrayal of Allen x Deuce must be shippy/romantic.
Please keep angst at a minimum unless it has a happy ending. Comfort is allowed.
Please DO NOT add your own OC or another canon character to the submission. Including them in the background as a wingman or something is alright, though. Additionally, any kind of romantic implications between Deuce and another character/OC are NOT allowed.
Please no NSFW. Harmless implications and slight spice are okay, but keep in mind that these characters are both minors.
AUs are very much allowed! All the previous rules apply here, too, and I'm willing to give an overview of some AUs via DMs.
Please no genderbending.
Please DO NOT draw Allen or Deuce as a standalone character. This is a SHIP event for a reason.
Please don't change their appearances too much, especially when it comes to the color schemes & body types.
Giving them different outfits â especially event outfits â is absolutely cool (yes, you can draw Allen in a skirt if you wanna), and changing their hairstyles is okay as long as they still look like themselves.
This is NOT A DTIYS event, so please DO NOT redraw one of my Allen x Deuce arts. Please come up with something original.
If you have any more questions, please DM me!
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
What CAN you submit?
drawings // comics // writings // animatics
For drawings, anything from a quick sketch to an extremely detailed drawing with a background is allowed! You'll get something of the same quality back. The same also goes for writings/fanfics.
Animatics will receive a drawing in return.
What CAN'T be submitted?
Gacha videos // edits // memes
-> You can theoretically submit all of these and I'd appreciate them, but I wouldn't be able to give you anything back.
Memes refer to funny pictures that simply have Allen & Deuce's faces in them. DRAWN memes/meme redraws count as DRAWINGS.
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤

Q&A:
I want to join the event, but I don't have any ship (OC x canon, canon x canon, OC x OC) you could draw/write about for me in return.
That's okay! In that case, I'll gladly draw/write about two separate characters or a platonic duo for you.
Can I do multiple submissions for this event?
Obviously, and every single one will be "revenged"!
Can I get something of another type/quality back? For example, can I get a fully shaded drawing for my sketch, or art for my drabble?
Unfortunately not, as I prefer to always give something of the same type back. There are only the following two exceptions that I AM willing to do:
you do a drabble/oneshot â> I do a sketch
you do any type of art â> I write a drabble/oneshot
Is there anything you refuse to draw/write about?
Deuce ships (other than Deuce x Allen). NSFW. Family x family. Minor x adult. Any ship considered to be problematic.
How do I tell you about the ship I want you to draw/write about for me?
I'll DM you after you post your event submissions.
Do you prefer to do OC x canon, canon x canon, or OC x OC?
I have a bias towards OC x canon and canon x canon ships. However, I'm willing to do any ship that's not problematic! In the case of OC x OC, I simply need you to provide information on two OCs instead of one only.
Will you do poly ships?
In order to keep things fair, no. But I could include the third party as a plush or chibi head.
I want to make Allen x Deuce content for you, but not receive anything in return.
That's also super appreciated anytime (and totally doesn't make me freak out /pos)! Simply share it as a gift and don't mention the event.
How long is it going to take you to finish your "revenge" on me?
It depends on the type of submission you make & what I'm giving you back. Some things can be done within a day while others may take much longer, but either way, you WILL get something of the SAME TYPE back & that's guaranteed.
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
Personal notes:
My health isn't the best and I also have a job. Please be respectful and don't rush me nor get mad when I'm being slow.
Please do not start a discussion nor get mad at me if I refuse to draw/write about a ship I deem problematic & want you to pick another one instead. Preferably pick a ship that's by far NOT problematic from the beginning.
I'm unwilling to draw/write about any Deuce ships other than Deuce x Allen because I kin Deuce a ton and tend to feel uncomfortable with many of his ships, so please don't ask for any. I'm asking you to not start a discussion over this, either.
I won't post everything I make for the event on this blog. Sketches and writings will either be DMed to you or posted on one of my other blogs.
â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
That's it for now! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to DM me.
And again, thank you so much for 200 followers!

part of my world
Genre/Tropes: There's some "scary one x soft one" dynamic sprinkled in here!! There's also some hinted mutual pining.
Summary: You decide to join Jade's club so you can spend more time with him, but your friends are more than a little wary about what the eel has in store for you.
Author's Comments: man i love jade leech and his silly little mushrooms. i would let him cook me the most outrageous mushroom experiments and i would eat them all. Also JADE GETS JEALOUS!!!!!
~~~~~
âYou want to join?â Jade blinked, his eyes wide as he set the cool drink on your table.
âYes! Really badly!â you accepted the drink gratefully, staring up at the merman with stars in your eyes, âYour club sounds really cool, and Crowley said I have to join something but basketball and board games and track arenât my thing but then I saw yours and I was like thatâs so cool! So pleaseee let me join! I want to learn about mushrooms since I know you like them-â
A gentle hand placed on your head stopped your pleading, Jadeâs affectionate gaze making a wobbly smile spread across your face. He sighed, rubbing gentle circles while tapping his other hand to his mouth thoughtfully.
âI donât know...â he hummed, âThe mountains can be harsh...are you sure you can handle it? Arenât you worried about being alone with a scary moray?â
âStop teasing!â you huffed, snatching up the hand that wasnât petting your head and squeezing it.
âOf course Iâll let you go with me, Prefect. Iâd love to have you along.â Jade laughed quietly, giving your head a final pat before he pulled away, âIâll come pick you up at Ramshackle three days from now, okay?â
âYes! Thank you so much Jade!â you beamed, nearly launching yourself out of the booth and into his arms in your excitement.
âItâs nothing. Iâm simply pleased youâre interested.â he smiled back, sharp teeth glinting in the low lighting of the Mostro Lounge, âPlease enjoy your drink. Itâs on me.â
đ
You paced around the Ramshackle Lounge living room, going through a mental checklist of all the things Jade would have you pack for the expedition. Grim sat on the dust couch, curled up and staring at you weirdly.
âWhyâre you pacing around like that? Itâs weirding me out.â he grumbled, making himself comfortable on the dusty fabric.
âI joined a club.â you said, beaming as your pace quickened, âJade is going to pick me up soon and then weâre going to go look for mushrooms in the mountains!â
âWhat?!â Grim jolted up, eyes wide, âYouâre going in the mountains? Alone? With Jade?! Henchhuman, do you have a death wish?!â
âRelax, Grimmy. Iâll be alright. Iâm really excited for this!â you said, patting his head absentmindedly as you passed by the couch again.
Grim opened his mouth, about to beg you to stay and not go anywhere with that creepy eel, but three loud knocks on the front door halted the words in his throat. You jumped, smiling as you ran to the door and threw it open. Ace and Deuce stood on your porch, both jumping a foot when you flung the door open.
âDamn Prefect, how happy are you to see us?â Ace teased, making his way inside.
âI know weâve been gone for a bit, but you donât have to act like we left you here all alone.â Deuce joined in, smirking at you.
âNo, no. Itâs not that. I was just-â
âThe Prefect is going on a date with Jade!â
The three of you turned to look at Grim, flabbergasted at the sudden outburst. Ace and Deuce turned to look at you with the same expression, their eyes wide and disbelieving.
âItâs not a date, Grim!â you yelled, feeling your face heat up, âI just joined his club, thatâs literally it. Stop making these weird accusations-â
âPrefect!? You canât be serious, right?â Ace grabbed you by the shoulders, shaking you hard, âYou canât go anywhere with Jade! Heâs dangerous!â
âAce is right!â Deuce blurted out, hands outstretched in front of him like he didnât know what to do with them, âWhat if he hurts you? You canât trust him!â
âGuys, you can calm down. I like Jade. He isnât going to do anything weird. Weâre just going to look for mushrooms and go on a hike. Heâs not Floyd.â you joked, laughing lightly to ease their nerves.
They donât look convinced.
You sighed, pulling away from Ace and looking them both in the eye.
âLook, Iâve wanted to go with Jade for a long time. I want to go out into the mountains and experience what his club is all about. Iâm genuinely interested in it and Iâd appreciate it if you guys just let me take this one. Iâve been fine on my own before, so stop worrying. Iâm fine.â
âPrefect, Iâm telling you, those Octavinelle guys are bad news. We donât want you getting hurt out there, especially because of Jade.â Ace crossed his arms over his chest.
âAnd Iâm telling you, that wonât happen. Jade might be unpredictable but heâs not cruel to me.â you waved away their worries, turning towards the door with the intention of leaving.
Jade was standing in the doorway to Ramshackle, a heavy looking backpack on his shoulders as he smiled serenely.
âHello, Prefect.â he opened his eyes, regarding you with a nod, âAce. Deuce. Grim.â
The other three stayed silent, whether out of fear or embarrassment or the silent treatment, you didnât know. You beamed, approaching Jade with a bounce in your step.
âJade! I hope you werenât waiting long?â you asked, refusing to look back at your three friends.
âI wasnât. I just got here.â he chuckled, unhooking a smaller backpack from his shoulder and holding it out to you, âHere. You can carry the water and food. Are you ready to go?â
âUm-! Not yet. I actually donât have hiking boots and I wanted to ask you about that.â you rubbed the back of your neck, sheepish.
âNo problem.â he said, patting your head gently, âIâve picked a flat trail. Itâll be a simple hike, nothing like what I get up to when Iâm alone, I assure you.â
âIâll be able to handle it once I get proper footwear!â you insisted, swinging the backpack over your shoulder, âSo sneakers are fine?â
âSneakers are fine.â he nodded, holding out his hand, âShall we?â
âHey Jade!â Ace yelled, his arms still crossed over his chest, âNothing better happened to the Prefect, okay?â
You looked back at Ace with a soft smile, affection bubbling up in your chest. These boys were so worried for you. It was kinda sweet, even though he was being really overbearing.
âNothing is going to happen to them.â Jade turned to look at Ace, catching his gaze, âYou are not the only ones on campus that care for them.â
Aceâs shoulders seemed to relax the slightest bit at that, but he was still tense. Deuce said nothing, opting to stare into your eyes.
You knew what he was trying to say without him having to say it.
âHey, you better come back, Henchhuman! You need to feed me!â Grim grumbled, glaring at Jade.
âI will Grim. Bye guys!â you waved them goodbye as Jade tugged you out of Ramshackle.
Once the door shut, you turned back to Jade. His gaze was clouded with an emotion you couldnât quite place, his expression betraying nothing.
âDo they normally stay over at Ramshackle?â he murmured, tightening his grip on your hand.
âOh...?â you flushed at the contact, your brain slowly connecting his statement to Ace and Deuce, âOh. They...They do, yeah. Theyâre basically my secondary dormmates.â
âHmm. Then I donât suppose youâd let me do the same?â he inquired.
âSure. I donât see why not. Hornton comes over sometimes too, so adding you to the mix wouldnât make too much of a fuss. I think.â you grimace, thinking about the way your friends had reacted to Jade before.
Oh well, every friendship starts somewhere.
âGood. I would be...very displeased if otherwise.â Jade smiled, continuing down the pathway, âIâll be sure to show up occasionally from now on.â
âPlease do! Iâd be happy to have you.â you laughed.
âBy the way...â Jade stopped abruptly, turning to face you, âI lied.â
You blinked owlishly as he snickered, holding a finger up to his lips. It took you a second to realize what he was referring to.
âHow long were you actually there for?â you asked, amused.
âThe whole time. Iâd gotten there shortly after youâd opened the door and let them in. I heard the entire thing.â Jade shuffled a bit closer to you, âYou like me, huh?â
You felt your face burn up again at his obvious teasing, swatting him away with your free hand. He laughed, tugging you back along the path.
âYouâre right, Prefect. I have no intention of letting you get hurt. I only want to show you a world I have yet to show anyone else.â he looked back at you and smiled, and your heart felt like it was going to burst from your chest.
There's No Way
Steve Harrington x Female Reader
Loosely based on "There's No Way" by Lauv. Slow-burn, friends-to-lovers. Featuring sort of modern-day / old money Steve (there are phones but also VHS? :D)
One.
The smell of charcoal and lake water hung thick in the air as cicadas hummed in the distance. Loverâs Lake glittered under the golden haze of the setting sun, a familiar scene that somehow still felt special every time summer rolled around.
Robin tossed a burger onto the grill with a practiced flick of her wrist, the sizzle of meat filling the quiet space between them. âAlright, Iâm just gonna say it - Steve, you are officially the most bougie of all of us. The Hamptons? Really?â
Eddie snorted, taking a swig of his beer. âYeah, Stevie, how was your luxurious East Coast retreat? Tennis with the Kennedys? Yachting with the Rockefellers?â
Steve rolled his eyes, reclining in his fold-out chair. âOh, bite me. It was a family thing. Not my fault my parents have weird rich-people traditions.â
Nancy smirked over the rim of her cup. âSo no secret country club scandals? No whirlwind summer romance?â
âYeah, Harrington, tell us the truth. Did you break some poor heiressâs heart?â Eddie waggled his eyebrows.
Steve scoffed. âI spent most of the time avoiding conversations about future investments and trying not to die of boredom.â
Robin gasped dramatically. âTragic.â
Steve shot her a look but grinned anyway, shaking his head. This was nice. Comfortable. Everyone had been scattered all over the place over the past year - college, jobs, moving in and out of Hawkins - but somehow, summer always brought them back.
âSo,â Eddie leaned forward, âwhat about you, Buckley? Howâs college treating you?â
Robinâs face lit up. âAmazing. My roommate and I went to this killer concert a few weeks ago - front row, totally insane.â
âWait, the roommate?â Nancy asked, smirking.
âYes, the roommate,â Robin confirmed, rolling her eyes.
Steve sat up straight, sensing an opportunity. âOh, you mean the one youâre secretly obsessed with?â
Robin groaned. âI am not obsessed -â
âYou totally are,â Eddie cut in. âYou bring her up constantly.â
âOkay, maybe because sheâs cool as hell? Sheâs from New York, sheâs got this whole effortless vibe going - like, she walks into a room and people just canât help but stare. And sheâs stupidly nice on top of that. Itâs unfair, really.â
Steve raised an eyebrow. âSounds like someoneâs got a little crush.â
âShut up,â Robin muttered, but her ears turned pink.
Eddie laughed. âNah, Steve, sheâs right though. Iâve met New York - sheâs a cool kid. Got the whole leather jacket, sharp wit thing going, but sheâs not an asshole about it. Makes you feel like the uncoolest person in the room, but in, like, a friendly way.â
Nancy grinned. âI like her already.â
âGood,â Robin said solemnly. âBecause sheâs coming to visit next week. And I expect all of you to be nice and welcoming.â
Steve smirked. âI donât know, Robin. What if I feel intimidated by her overwhelming coolness?â
Robin snorted. âOh, I am so counting on itâ.
---
Later that night, as the fire crackled and the group dwindled into smaller conversations, Robin found Steve alone by the lakeâs edge. The water lapped gently at the shore, moonlight catching in the ripples.
âSo,â she started, nudging his arm. âHowâs the single life treating you?â
Steve exhaled, staring at the water. âFine, I guess.â
âYou and Nance good?â
âYeah. It was mutual.â He glanced back at Nancy, who was laughing at something Eddie was saying. âWe want different things. No drama, no hard feelings.â
Robin nodded. âGood. I mean, you know I love you both, but⌠it was kinda inevitable.â
Steve huffed a laugh, shaking it off. âYeah, yeah.â
She hesitated, then said, âSo, uh⌠just a heads up? About New York?â
Steve frowned. âWhat about her?â
Robinâs lips twitched as she paused as if mentally fighting with herself. Biting on her bottom lip, she threw her hands up in the air. âOh, screw this. I just know you, Steve. And I know sheâs exactly your type. And Iâm telling you, please, for the love of God - keep it in your pants.â
Steve choked on a surprised laugh. âOh, come on now, Buckley!â
âNo, I mean it,â Robin insisted. âYouâre gonna take one look at her, and itâs gonna be all heart-eyes, and I just - Steve, I need this friendship to not be ruined by your tragic inability to control yourself around beautiful women.â
Steve grinned, placing a hand over his chest. âRobin, I can handle myself. Cross my heart.â
Robin didnât look convinced. She gave him an unimpressed look. âMmm-hmm.â
Across the fire, Eddie caught the tail end of their conversation and smirked.
âYeah, no,â he muttered to himself. âNo way Harringtonâs not going there.â
-
Two.
The sky was painted in shades of pink and orange, streaks of gold reflecting off Loverâs Lake as the sun dipped lower. The gathering was bigger this timeâmore voices, more laughter, a familiar kind of chaos. Someone had brought a speaker, and music floated through the warm air, blending with the crackling of the bonfire and the distant splash of the younger kids skipping rocks at the waterâs edge.
Steve stood by the shore, his Ray-Bans perched on his nose, arms crossed as he exchanged lazy jabs with Dustin.
âIâm just saying,â Henderson grinned, arms flailing for emphasis, âitâs honestly embarrassing how bad you are at Mario Kart. Like, actually humiliating.â
Steve scoffed. âOh, shut up. Those blue shells are rigged, and you know it.â
âExcuses, excuses - â
Dustin stopped mid-sentence, his mouth still open but his eyes widening. âUh, who is that?â
Steve frowned at the interruption. âWhoâs whoââ
Then he turned.
And there you were. Walking down the beach, the glow of the fading sunlight catching in your beautiful loose hair, making it look almost unreal. Effortlessly cool in the most casual outfit, like you hadnât even tried but still managed to steal the entire scene.Â
Conversations around Steve stuttered, peopleâs eyes drifting toward you like a magnet.
You didnât even notice.Â
You smiled, your confidence radiating as you made a beeline for Robin, pulling her into a tight hug.
Steve barely registered Dustin saying, âDude, youâre staring.â
âThatâs New York,â Steve muttered, still watching as you and Robin swayed in your hug, laughing.
âThatâs New York?â Dustin hissed, his eyes following your every move. âThatâs the girl Robinâs always talking about? She somehow forgot to mention that she looks like she just stepped out of a movie.â
Steve huffed a laugh, shaking his head. âDude, sheâs like super old for you. Sheâs also too cool for us mere mortals.â
Eddie, standing nearby, caught sight of you and broke into a grin. âOh, hell yeah â New York!â
You turned, eyes lighting up as you spotted him. âMunson!â
Eddie opened his arms. âCome here, you leather-clad menace.â
You laughed, walking straight into his hug. âStill trying to make the whole âcult leaderâ thing work?â
âUh, duh?! And you still out here making the rest of us look like fashion disasters?â
âUh, duh?â you mirrored, smirking at him.Â
Robin grinned, turning toward the rest of the group. âAlright, everybody, this is New York. Be nice, or Iâll personally kick your asses.â
You were introduced around, your sharp wit balanced by a genuine warmth that made it impossible not to like you. Steve, still watching from the sidelines, felt that weird pull in his chest, the kind that came with meeting someone you know is going to matter.
Dustin slowly grinned from ear to ear, catching the look on his face. âUh oh. Whatâs with the look?â
Steve scoffed, frowning. âWhat look?â
âYou know what look,â Dustin rolled his eyes.
Before Steve could argue, Robin dragged you toward him. âAnd this ââ she gestured dramatically, âthis is Steve.â
You tilted your head, a smile sleeping on your lips, your eyes scanning over him - in a way that made his pulse spike. âAh. The infamous Steve Harrington.â
Steve snickered. âInfamous, huh? That how Robin describes me?â
Your lips twitched. âNot exactly. But lucky for you, second-hand opinions are not my thingâ.
He let out a low chuckle, gazing at you. âWell, howâs the first impression, then?â
The group around you went silent, subtly watching, like they could feel something happening.
You tilted your head ever so slightly, as if considering him. âI think the juryâs still out.â
Steve grinned. âGoodâ, he said, running fingers through his hair. âI love a challenge.â
That surprised a soft laugh out of you - and Steve wasnât sure if it was the orange hue of the setting sun or something else entirely, but your eyes lit up. And he thought heâd very much love to see more of those little sparkles dancing in the your irises.Â
---
A couple of hours in, the party had settled into a comfortable rhythm â some people gathered near the bonfire, others sprawled out on blankets near the lake. Max and Lucas were in the middle of a heated argument about something, while Robin and Eddie had started an impromptu debate over the best concert theyâd ever been to.
You sat on a log near the fire, sipping from a plastic cup, when Dustin plopped down beside you.
âSo,â he pushed, grinning mischievously, âwhatâs your deal?â
You turned to face him, curious. âMy deal?â
âYeah, you know. The whole mysterious, effortlessly cool, sarcastic but somehow also really nice thing you have going on.â
You smiled at him softly, taking a gulp of the drink youâve been nursing. âAh. Well, I think thatâs very cool of you to come up and askâ, you winked at him. âPlease, go ahead and inspect away. Iâm an open bookâ.Â
Dustin hummed in approval. âOkay, think we got the âreally niceâ part validated.â
You laughed, nudging his shoulder. âCute.â
Eddie and Steve, who had been lingering nearby talking about Harringtonâs BMW thatâs been acting out lately, turned their attention towards you. Â
Munson snorted, jumping in. âKid, she grew up in New York. Sheâs got at least a decade of experience in making people cry with one sentence. I would hold off on any sort of validations for now.â
You rolled your eyes at him kind-heartedly. âItâs a weapon I seldom use, Eds, you know that.â
Paying Eddieâs antics and your comeback no mind, Dustin continued. âAnd you sure know how to make an entrance. So that also sorta checks the coolness box?â He then pointed at Steve. âI gotta say, I think youâre the first person Iâve ever met who might be able to outmatch the good old King Steve in the coolness department.â
Steve scoffed. âDifferent sides of the spectrum, Henderson. Thereâs cool and then there's douchebaggeryâ.Â
You smirked at his auto-derision. You might have heard a couple of things about King Steve before coming here. âRobin told me you put the crown behind you?â
Steve scratched the back of his head, lowering his gaze. There was something vulnerable about him then.Â
âNever had one to begin withâ, he simply said, his brown eyes seeking out yours.Â
You held his stare for a moment, and it was like everything else dimmed slightly â the music, the laughter, the conversations around you.
Seconds before the electricity started cracking between you, Steve took a sip of his drink, breaking the spell. Clearing his throat, he asked, âSo. Howâs Hawkins treating you so far?â
You released a breath and shrugged. âFrom what Iâve seen so far today, itâs⌠different. Quieter than Iâm used to, but nice. I can see why Robin likes it here.â
âYeah, itâs not New York, but it grows on you,â he pushed his hands in the pockets of his jeans, stepping closer.
You studied him. âYou ever been?â
He shook his head. âNope. But I feel like Iâd get eaten alive.â
That unexpected honesty granted him a smile. You bit the inside of your cheek, pretending to think about it. âYeah, maybe. But at least youâd have had fun first.â
Steve laughed. âIf you say soâ. Itâs not before he moved to seat beside you that you realized both Dustin and Eddie were nowhere to be seen. For a brief second, you wondered how long theyâve been gone for.
But then your eyes met Steveâs again. âI think youâd like it more than you think.â
The conversation continued, flowing easily between you. You talked about music, the best dive bars you both have been to, about how Steve still couldnât figure out how to properly work a jukebox (you stared at him in disbelief and promised to teach him - because that was no way to live).
At some point, Robin, watching from a distance, leaned toward Eddie and muttered, âOh, this is bad.â
Eddie didnât miss a bit, taking a sip of his drink. âNo - this is inevitable.â
â
By the time the fire had burned low and the night air had cooled, you and Robin found yourselves making your way to the cars, spotting Steve next to his BMW. âI canât driveâ, you told her, eyeing your Jeep parked under the trees on a side of the road. âShouldnât have dangled that G&T in front of my face, Buckleyâ.Â
Before Robin could deny all fault, Steve waved you both over.Â
âIâll drive you guys back,â he offered casually.Â
Robin shot him a suspicious look. âDidnât you drink whiskey, Harrington?â
Steve scrunched his nose. âThat shit Billy brought? Come on, Buckley, pretty sure he sucked that thing outta his gas tank.â
Before either you or Robin could protest, he swung open the passenger door, beckoning you in with a nod.Â
The drive was quiet, comfortable. With her temple pressed against the window, Robin passed out before you even crossed the city line.Â
You stared out the backseat window, house watching as white facades rolled by. Steveâs car smelled nice. Something sweet and heady, with a hint of wood.Â
As your gaze slid across the back of the leather seats, you caught Steveâs eyes in the rearview mirror. He gave you a soft smile, before switching his attention back to the road.Â
When you reached Robinâs place, Steve stepped out of the car and walked around to open the door for you. You carefully shook the girl awake and slid out first against the background of her sleepy muttering. Your arm brushed against Steveâs as you moved past him.
It was the smallest touch. Barely there.
But even with her eyes misted with sleep, Robin saw the way Steveâs fingers twitched, like he wanted to reach for more.
She saw the way you hesitated for a second, like you felt it too.
And as you said your goodbyes and walked toward the door, Robin exhaled, shaking her head.
Sheâd be surprised if Steve and you didnât end up going there. Not with the way you were already looking at each other - and youâd only just met. -
Three.
âYou drive like an old man.â
Steve shot you an incredulous look as he pulled into the parking lot of the grocery store. âExcuse me?â
âYou heard me, Harrington,â you teased, unbuckling your seatbelt. âTen and two, checking your mirrors every five seconds⌠Iâm shocked you didnât use a blinker in the parking lot.â
Robin snorted from the backseat. âHe totally did.â
Eddie leaned forward between you and Steve, grinning. âI hate to agree with New York, but yeah, dude, you drive like youâre taking your driverâs test every time.â
Steve scoffed, throwing the car into park. âItâs called being a responsible driver. Sorry I donât drive like a lunatic.â
You smirked. For some reason, you loved getting a rise out of him. âYeah, yeah. Come on, Grandpa, letâs get the snacks.â
Harrington rolled his eyes but couldnât fight the smile creeping onto his face as he followed you inside.
There was something easy about being around you. Like you had fallen into step with each other without even realizing it.
Robin noticed.
Eddie noticed.
But neither of them said anything.
Both watched the two of you dance around each other instead, like you had known each other forever. Usual knowing smirks plastered across their faces as you and Steve bickered over which snacks to get for the movie night happening at his house.
âWe have to get Twizzlers,â Steve insisted, tossing a pack into the cart.
You wrinkled your nose. âCome on, Harrington. They taste like wax.â
Steve gasped in mock horror. âTake that back.â
You smirked, plucking the pack out of the cart and putting it back on the shelf. âI refuse to enable bad choices.â
Robin covered her mouth, stifling a laugh watching Steve gape at you wide-eyed. âOh, and who made you an expert ? You just picked up ââ he glanced at the bag in your hand, ââwhat even is that? Trail mix?â
âWith chocolate,â you supplied pointedly, throwing it into the cart.
Steve groaned. âYouâre a menace.â
âThank you.â
Eddie leaned over to Robin. âThey flirting, or am I having a stroke?â
Robin grinned. âFlirting. Hard.â
Steve, blissfully unaware of their commentary, was still watching you with an exasperated but amused expression. âTell you what, letâs compromise. I get my Twizzlers, you get your weird health snack.â
You pretended to consider it. âAlright, deal.â
Steve tossed the Twizzlers back into the cart, shooting you a victorious look. âSucker.â
You just rolled your eyes, but the way you smiled at him made something flip in Steveâs chest.
Huh. That was new.Â
---
All groceries paid and loaded (Steve all but blocked your access to the cashier, refusing to let any of you pay) - you headed over to Family Video for the movie selection.
Robin, boasting her ex-employee knowledge just a bit, took charge immediately. âAlright, we need something goodââ
âOh, I get a say in this,â you interjected immediately, scanning the shelves. âLast time I let you pick, we ended up watching someââ she glanced at Steve and Eddie, ââvery artistic foreign film that was just two hours of sad people staring out of windows.â
Steve snorted. âYeah, sounds about right.â
âExcuse you!â Robin scoffed. âThat movie had depth.â
â...of a mud puddle,â you supplied, ignoring her.
Steve grinned at you. âOkay, definitely letting you pick the movie for tonight.â
Before you could reply, someone stepped into the aisle, their presence immediately shifting the air.
Steve noticed Jason Carver before he could make his presence known, but didnât react. With a bit of luck, Jason would just get on with his mission to make someone miserable today. So Steve just leaned against the shelf and watched.
Jasonâs eyes swept over the group before landing on you.
No such luck, then.Â
âHey,â he said cheerfully, stepping closer with that too-polished, practiced smile. âHavenât seen you around before.â
You barely glanced up from the VHS tapes in your hands. âIâm visiting.â
Jason leaned against the shelf beside you. The guy wasnât great at taking a hint, apparently. âFrom where?â
âNew York,â you said absently, your fingertips grazing the VHS as you hesitated.Â
Jason let out a low whistle. âDamn. Bit of a change coming to Hawkins, huh?â
You hummed in vague agreement, still not looking at him.
Steve watched from a few feet away, arms crossed over his chest. He told himself he didnât care. He told himself he wasnât annoyed.
Robin, standing next to him, called bullshit.Â
She smirked. âYou ok there, Harrington? Want me to press down on your hair so you donât blow the top off?â
Steve forced a nonchalant smile. âIâm actually enjoying thisâ.
Robin grinned and nodded in agreement. âLike watching a car accident happen right in front of me.â
Meanwhile, Jason, undeterred by your clear lack of interest, kept talking. âSo, what do you do in New York? Model?â
That got your attention. Looking up, you blinked at him, unimpressed. âSeriously?â
Jason smirked, encouraged by you finally looking at him. âHey, just sayingâ, he threw his hands in the air. âYou sure got the look.â
Before you could respond, Eddie popped his head in the aisle, holding what looked like a good old comedy. âAlright, Iâve got the winnerââ
Carver turned to look at him then, his expression instantly shifting. âOh, great. The freakâs here.â
You stilled.
The change in your demeanor was drastic. The air cracked with tension.Â
You slowly turned to fully face him, fixing Jason with a look so sharp and cold that it couldâve sliced through glass.
âAre you actually for real now?â you said flatly.
Jason scoffed. âWhat? Just stating facts.â
Your lips curled in a dangerous smile. There was no stopping you now. Dude has crossed the line. âHereâs another fun fact for you, dickhead. They say a frightened dog barks the loudest. I can ask the store manager to call your mom. Sheâll come get you.â
Jasonâs jaw tensed. âI was justââ
âDonât bother, we get it,â you continued, merciless eyes still locked onto him. âYou peaked in high school. Youâre clinging to relevance by being a jackass to people who actually moved on with their lives. Get the fuck on with your miserable existence somewhere else.â
Jason opened his mouth - just to shut it again. Eddie, grinning, casually handed you the VHS tape he found.
You took it without looking, brushing past a flabbergasted Carver as you made your way to the front of the store.
Robin followed, biting back laughter - just barely.
Steve, who had been watching without even trying to conceal his amusement, exhaled, shaking his head as he pushed off the shelf.
Eddie, still smirking, clapped Jason on the shoulder. âTough break, man.â
Jason glared daggers at him. âFuck off, Munson.â
Feeling ten feet tall and generous, Eddie gave him a tiny goodbye wave, leaving him biting the proverbial dust.
---
By the time you piled into Steveâs car, the tension had dissolved into laughter.
Eddie sighed dramatically, placing a hand over his chest. âI love being a damsel in distress. Might get used to it.â
You smirked at him in the rearview mirror. âYouâre welcome, Princess.â
Steve glanced at you briefly as he pulled out of the parking lot. But you still caught the awe in his eyes.Â
âYou do that often? Publicly humiliate douchebags?â
You shrugged. âThis one needed a reality check. Thought Iâd do the Hawkins community a favor.â
Robin grinned. âYou shouldâve seen his face. Iâll be living off that moment for weeks.â
Eddie sighed, leaning back. âYou are now my favorite New Yorker, by the way.â
You chose to ignore the fact that you were probably the only New Yorker Eddie really knew. âI better be.â
Steve forced himself to focus on the road, trying - and failing - to ignore a twisting sensation in his chest.
He thought back to Robinâs warning.
âDonât go there.â
But as you sat in his passenger seat, casually flipping through the VHS tape like you hadnât just verbally emasculated Jason Carver in public, Steve knewâ
Robin was right.
He was pretty much halfway there.
And he wasnât sure there was any turning back.
-
Four. Â
Steveâs house was, as advertised, big and empty.
Robin and Eddie wasted no time sprawling blankets and pillows across the floor in front of the massive TV, with Steve helping arrange everything while you ran upstairs to the bathroom.
As soon as you were out of earshot, Robin refused to miss a beat. âSo, Steve, wanna talk about how youâre pining?â
Steve sighed dramatically, throwing the last pillow he just brought from a guest room into the pile on the floor. âJesus Christ.â
Eddie grinned, flopping onto the makeshift giant bed they built. âNo, no, itâs cute, man. I mean, I knew youâd be toast the second you laid eyes on her, but this whole slow-burn thing? Didnât see it coming. Thought youâd be making a move by now.â
âThereâs no slow-burn!â Steve exclaimed, exasperated. âJust drop it already, guys, dead serious. Nothingâs going on.â
Robin snorted. âSure, Steve. And Iâm the Queen of England.â
âBow to your majesty,â Eddie said, throwing a pillow at Steveâs head.
Steve caught it easily, shaking his head as he tossed it back. âYou guys are so annoying.â
Robin and Eddie shared a look, their smirks identical.
Giving up on the pair, Steve glanced at the staircase, realizing you had been gone for a while.
âIâm gonna check on her,â he said, waving off their knowing glances as he headed upstairs.
---
He found you in the foyer, standing still in front of the only framed photo of him as a kid.
It was an old, staged portrait â him, no older than five, dressed like a perfect little country club baby in a polo and khakis, standing stiffly in front of a white column. No smile. Just blank, polite obedience.
He stopped a few feet away, watching you.
âThatâs the only one in the whole house,â he said quietly.
You turned to look at him, then back at the photo. âNo baby pictures?â
Steve shook his head. âNone on display, at least.â
You studied the photo for a moment longer before glancing at him again. Your voice was soft when you asked, âWere you that serious as a kid?â
Steve let out a bitter breath of a laugh. âNo. I mean, not naturally. But when the only times your parents want a picture is when theyâre forcing you into one, you learn to stand still and shut up.â
You frowned slightly, your gaze thoughtful.
Steve surprised himself by continuing. âThey were⌠cold, I guess. Still are. Always busy. Always away. They had expectations, and I followed them. For a while.â He huffed. âDidnât last.â
You didnât blink, watching him closely. âAnd now?â
Steve swallowed. âNow, I just try to do things my way.â
There was something knowing in your expression. A small, almost timid smile grew on your lips. âThatâs why I think youâre kind of amazing, you know.â
Steve blinked. âWhat?â
You turned to fully face him, leaning casually against the wall. âYou couldâve turned out like thatââ you gestured to the framed, lifeless photo, ââbut instead, youâre⌠you.â
Steve let out a quiet laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. âI donât think Iâm all that impressive.â
âYouâre kind,â she said simply. âGiven everything, thatâs impressive.â
There was a shift in the air. The kind that made Steve suddenly hyper aware of how close you were standing. You held his gaze, and for a moment, neither of you said anything.
Felt like words were not necessary. Your bodies ached for their turn to take control.
Then â
âHEY, GUYS! MOVIEâS STARTING!â
Robinâs voice echoed up the stairs, breaking the spell.
Steve cleared his throat, looking away as he took a step back. âWe should â uh â head down.â
You nodded, pushing off the wall. âYeah.â
You descended the stairs in silence, and Steve begged whoever listened that you couldnât hear his heart hammering in his chest.
---
By the time you settled in for the movie, Steve barely knew what was happening on the screen. You were squished between him and Robin, and even though he wasnât technically touching you, Steve could feel your warmth beside him.
He tried to focus, but every time you shifted, every time you laughed at something on screen, every time you adjusted the blanket around your shoulders, he felt it. All the way deep in his bones.
Then, at some point, you shifted closer, tucking your legs up and leaning against him, your head resting lightly against his shoulder.
Steve froze.
A quick glance around the room told him Robin and Eddie were already half-asleep.
You were breathing evenly against him, surrendered to a peaceful sleep.
Steve swallowed hard, staring blankly at the TV.
The thing was â he knew, deep down, this was going to be history â sooner than later.
But right now, at this moment, it didnât seem to matter all that much. What mattered was him not moving. Because if he moved, you might wake up.
Right now, you curled against him, trusting and warm and peaceful - that's what mattered.
So Steve stayed still, staring at the screen without really seeing it.
Because nothing except for your warmth and your sweet breath mattered that much - if at all.Â
-
Five.
Bennyâs Diner was buzzing with the late breakfast crowd, but at your booth near the window, the four of you had carved out your own little world.
The vibe was soft and easy, filled with sleepy laughter and clinking coffee mugs.
Steve sat across from you, his arm draped over the back of the booth, pretending to listen as Eddie and Robin bickered over their orders. But in reality, his focus kept drifting.
To you.
To the way your knee kept brushing his under the table. To the scent of your perfumeâsomething warm, slightly sweet, and completely distracting. To the way you tucked your silky hair behind your ear as you read the menu, biting back a smile at whatever dumb joke Robin had just made.
He was aware of you in a way that made him feel off balance - and it wasnât just this morning.
It was how youâd woken up still tucked against him, completely unbothered by the fact that youâd spent the night like that. You had blinked up at him with that sleepy, bright smile and murmured, âMorning, Harrington. Sleep well?â
And he had lied through his goddamn teeth. Because the truth was, he hadnât slept at all.
Too afraid to move. Too afraid to wake you up. Too aware of every shift of your breath.
The memory was so distracting that he barely registered it when you said his name.
âSteve.â
He blinked, snapping back to reality. âHuh?â
You smiled suspiciously, tilting your head to a side. âYou good over there? You spaced out.â
Eddie giggled like a gremlin, looking at him knowingly.
Steve cleared his throat, shifting. âUh, yeah. What was the question?â
You laughed. âI was asking if you were gonna come with us to Eddieâs uncleâs cabin today.â
Steve barely had time to process before Eddie jumped in, looking far too pleased. âYeah, Stevie-boy. Thought weâd spend the night upstate, get out of town for a bit.â
Robin nodded sagely. âNo parents. No civilization. Just us, a questionable cabin, and probably a family of raccoons.â
You grinned. âWhat do you say, Harrington? You in?â
Steve opened his mouth â only to groan as he remembered. âShit. I canât. My parentsâ White Party. Annual bullshit. I have to go, or theyâll have an aneurysm.â
Robin immediately covered a very obvious âBougieâ with a cough.
Steve shot her a look.
You pouted, resting your chin on your hand. âLame.â
Eddie sighed dramatically. âGone too soon. Taken from us before his time.â
Steve rolled his eyes, but before he could say anything else, you leaned in and wrapped your arms around him in a tight hug.
âCome find us after,â you murmured into his ear. âIf you survive.â
Steve barely found the brainpower to breathe, let alone respond, before you pulled back and stood up.
Robin and Eddie followed you to the checkout counter, already making plans for the evening.
Steve just watched you go - completely smitten.
---
The White Party was exactly as soul-sucking as expected.
Steve leaned against the marble bar, nursing a whiskey, his white linen shirt sleeves rolled up as he endured yet another conversation about investment portfolios and European boarding schools.
Jason Carver was here, of course.
Leaning smugly against the bar with his usual crew, talking too loudly, probably making some poor girl miserable.
Steve ignored him.
He didnât even have to put too much effort into the âignoringâ part - all he could think about was this morning.
Your voice. Your laugh. Your stupid perfume that was still somehow all around him.
He sighed, rubbing a hand down his face -
And then his phone rang.
He frowned, glancing at the unknown number before picking up. âHello?â
âSteve?â
He immediately straightened. âNew York?â
You exhaled, relieved. âOh, thank god, you picked up. Listen, Iâhold onâRobin, stop laughing, this is seriousâ okay, sorry, our car may have gone off the roadââ
âWhat?â
ââinto the mud.â
There was a cackle in the background.
Steve pinched the bridge of his nose. âYou crashed?â
âNo, Eddie got us stuck,â you corrected. âI was just the unfortunate passenger.â
There was more muffled laughter in the background.
You sighed. âWe tried pushing it out, but weâre just making it worse. And I hate to bother you while youâre at your elite socialite gathering, but, uh⌠weâre kinda screwed.â
Steve didnât even hesitate.
âWhere are you?â
âHalfway up to the cabin. Robin can text you the mile markerââ
âIâll be there soon.â
There was a pause, then a smile in your voice. âReally?â
Steve just shook his head, already heading for the door. âLike Iâm gonna leave you guys stranded.â
Behind him, Jason called something snide, but Steve didnât care.
He was already leaving.Â
-
Six.
By the time Steve arrived, it was pitch black except for the high beams of Eddieâs car reflecting off the trees.
And the mud.
So. Much. Mud.
Steve swore under his breath as he pulled up in his very much not made for off-roading BMW, still dressed in white. He really should have gone home to change first.
Up ahead, Robin was in the driverâs seat, revving the engine as you and Eddie pushed from behind, your shoes sinking into the slop.
He barely had time to assess the situation before Robin caught sight of him.
âOh thank God! STEVE!â she cheeredâright as her foot slipped off the gas.
The car lurched backward.
You and Eddie went flying.
Straight into the biggest, deepest, grossest puddle of mud on the whole damn road.
Steveâs heart stopped.
He didnât think. He leaped from his car, sprinting towards you without a single regard for his white linen pants.
You were lost in a fit of hysterical laughter. Or, rather, cackle, as you propped yourself up on your elbows in the muck.
Steve waded in without hesitation, his thighs instantly soaked, reaching for you. âJesus Christ â come on, New York, give me your hand.â
You grinned up at him mischievously, and before he could do anything else, you launched yourself into his arms.
He caught you on instinct, arms wrapping around your waist as you completely ruined the last clean part of his clothes.
âCanât believe you came,â you laughed into his shoulder. âI knew you would.â
Steve barely registered the fact that you were getting mud everywhere â your arms locked around his neck, your body warm against his, the scent of damp earth and your lingering perfume filling his senses.
âYeah,â he murmured, holding you just a second too long before finally setting her back on her feet. âCourse I did.â
A few feet away, Eddie struggled to his feet, arms outstretched in exasperation. âOh yeah, donât worry about me, guys. I just love being ignored while I drown in filth.â
Robin, still in the car, had her forehead against the steering wheel, laughing so hard the roof of the thing was shaking.
Steve pulled back, brushing a stray, mud-caked strand of hair from your cheek. âYou okay, sweetheart?â
You looked up at him teasingly, lips quirking up. âSweetheart, huh?â
Steveâs stomach flipped.
Eddie let out an exaggerated gag. âOh my god, Iâm the one covered in mud, but that was somehow filthier.â
Steve had the decency to lower his eyes, biting back a smile as he let his hand drop.
Robin threw the door of the Eddieâs car open, finally catching her breath. âOkay, people â letâs get this stupid car out so we can go warm up before Steve actually cries about his ruined Ralph Lauren outfit!â
â
It took a combination of teamwork, Steveâs BMW, and a lot of swearing, but you eventually got Eddieâs car unstuck and back on the road.
By the time you reached the cabin, the mud had dried to an uncomfortable crust on your skin.
You unloaded Eddieâs car and scattered inside, everyone getting cleaned up and settling in.
Steve took the fastest shower of his life, scrubbing away every last trace of white linen Steve Harrington until all that was left was damp hair, Eddieâs spare band tee, and a pair of worn-out jeans.
When he stepped back into the room, he spotted you crouched over your backpack, searching for something.
The warm glow of the bedside lamp cast soft shadows across your skin, catching in the loose tendrils of your still-drying hair.
Steve halted. You glanced up, pausing when you saw him.
For a second, neither of you said anything.
Your gaze flicked over his borrowed shirt, his wet hair, the way his jeans hung low on his hips.
Then you met his eyes.
Something shifted in the air. The kind of shift that was slow, deliberate. Like the exact moment before a fire starts.
Steveâs throat went desert-dry.
You slowly got up to your feet to level with him, your lips parting slightly like you wanted to say something â
When the door slammed open with a bang.
âHarrington!â
Steve honest-to-god jumped.
Eddie leaned against the doorframe, completely oblivious. âNeed an extra pair of hands for the wood pile before we all freeze to death.â
Steve exhaled through his nose. âYeah. Sure.â
Eddie nodded, then flicked his gaze between the two of you.
His smirk couldnât get more obnoxious.
You rolled your eyes at his antics, and went back to your bag - like nothing happened.
Steve followed Eddie out, hands in his pockets, trying to ignore the way his pulse pounded in his throat.
Whatever that was - it could have been a wildfire. Even without the goddamn wood.
---
The cabin kitchen smelled amazingâgarlic, tomato, and cheesy lasagna bubbling away in the oven. But the state of the place? An absolute disaster.
Robin had sauce on her cheek. Your sleeves were covered in ricotta. There was a suspicious amount of flour on the counter that neither of you had actually used.
You pointed at Robin with a wooden spoon. âI donât even wanna ask how you got cheese in your hair.â
Robin swiped at it half-heartedly. âCooking is an art, alright?â
You snorted, shaking your head as you went back to layering noodles. You and Robin moved easily around each other, the kind of teamwork that came from months of rooming together and effortless friendship.
And then, Robin â who had clearly been waiting for the perfect moment â casually ventured, âSooo⌠what do you think of Steve?â
You didnât pause. Didnât look up. Didnât even blink.
But you smiled.
Robin grinned. âOh, now thatâs a look worth a thousand words.â
You rolled your eyes but didnât deny it. âHeâs justâŚâ You let out a small laugh, biting on your bottom lip. âI donât know. Iâve never met anyone like him before.â
Robin made a suggestive noise. âYeah, no kidding. Who else has a hair routine longer than my entire shower?â
âNothing wrong with good hairâ, you defended. âYeah, well,â Robin scrunched her nose. âHe also wears loafers without socks, so. Trade-offs.â You nudged her with your hip, hard. âHeâsââ you bit on the inside of your cheek, searching for the right words. âHeâs good. In a real way. Not in a look at me, Iâm a nice guy kinda way. Just good. Kind.â
Robin leaned against the counter, smirking. âYeah, heâs a big olâ softie. Tries to act all cool, but we all know heâd risk it all for a bunch of kids who tease him mercilessly.â
You laughed, eyes crinkling. âYeah, I noticed that.â
Robin gave you a stare-down. âYou like him.â
You didnât argue. âI really wanna get to know him better.â
Buckley grinned. âYou should,â and then added, after a beat with half-mock seriousness: âJust⌠yâknow. If you hurt him, I will have to kill you.â
You barked out a laugh. âThatâs fair. I like that youâd defend him like thatâ, you confessed, approval dripping from your voice.
Robin gave a serious nod. âI will commit crimes, New York.â
You laughed as you opened up the oven, checking on lasagnaâŚÂ
âŚNeither of you noticed Steve in the doorway - standing there with a big, stupid grin on his face.
Heâd just come in from outside, shaking the cold from his hands, when he caught the tail end of the conversation. He didnât mean to eavesdrop. But man, oh man, was he happy that he did.Â
He ducked out before you could see him, his cheeks burning, his chest full, the âI really wanna get to know him betterâ bottled up in his mind to get back to in months to come, like a hidden treasure only he knew about.
---Â
Dinner was warm. Easy.Â
The four of you ate too much lasagna. Robin somehow got more cheese in her hair. Eddie cheated at board games - and didnât even bother to hide it.Â
Laughter filled the cabin as you went over the mud incident from earlier.Â
You turned to Steve, propping your chin on your hand. âYour folks pissed you left?â
Steve, still in Eddieâs borrowed band tee, rolled the dice and shrugged. âThey probably didnât even notice.â
You scrunched your nose in disapproval. âTheir loss, our gain.â
Steve stared at you for a second too long, something tight and aching curled in his chest.
Before he could even process your words and the meaning behind them, you casually tossed a game piece at Eddie catching him red-handed as he tried to cheat - yet again. Steve vaguely registered Munson yelling something about âdisrespectâ and âabsolute betrayal.â It didnât matter. The more time Steve spent getting to know you, the less everything else mattered. And he wasnât sure how he felt about that yet.
---
Eventually, things slowed.
Steve found himself sitting on the floor by the fireplace - next to you.
The flames flickered, warm light casting soft shadows as you talked, voices hushed.
Like a moth drawn to a flame, Steve couldnât help but wanted to learn everything about you. Especially the little things. Like how you always needed to drink something before bed. How you grew up listening to your dadâs old rock records. How you once broke your arm jumping from a tree.
He took in every single detail like he was trying to memorize you - like a favorite song. An all-time classic.Â
âLet me get this straight. You jumped out of a tree because a boy dared you to?â Steve asked, eyebrows raised.
You grinned. âYeah. Not my proudest momentâ.
Steve huffed a laugh. âPlease tell me you at least got to rub it in his face.â
âOh, no.â You laughed too, leaning back against the couch. âHe screamed. Thought I died. I was too busy crying.â
Steve shook his head in half awe, half disbelief.
âYouâre wild.â
You smirked. âYou like it.â
Steveâs heart skipped - because you werenât wrong. You weren't wrong at all.
He didnât know what to do with the feeling swelling in his chest. It felt dangerous - like falling from the edge of a cliff. It scared him, but not enough to make him want to stop.Â
At the kitchen counter, Robin and Eddie watched. Buckley sipped from her drink. âHeâs so gone.â
Munson grinned. âTold ya.â
Completely oblivious to them watching, you stretched, covering your mouth as you yawned. You got to your feet, stretching your arms over your head, and Steve swallowed hard, noticing your shirt riding up just a little.
âAlright, Iâm calling it,â you finally said, voice warm and sleepy. âIâm crashing.â
You turned to Steve, eyes soft.
âNight, Steve.â
Steve barely managed to get out, âNight,â before you disappeared down the hall.
Oh, he was so screwed.Â
-
Seven.Â
Steve wasnât avoiding you - not really.
At least, thatâs what he kept telling himself.
His schedule had just been busy. Running errands for his dad. Taking care of bullshit he didnât actually care about.
But the truth? The truth was that heâd gotten used to you - to the way you smirked at him when you knew you were getting under his skin. To the way you laughed, loud and carefree, with Eddie and Robin. To the way you just⌠fit - like youâd always been there.Â
And that scared the ever-loving shit out of him.
So he stopped answering every message in your group chat. He stopped saying yes when Robin, Eddie and you planned something new.
He was running away - and straight-up hiding at a coffee shop this morning pretending to ignore his phone going off every 5 seconds.Â
Goddamn, you guys were relentless!Â
The Group Chat - The Chaos Crew
ROBIN: Steve.
ROBIN: Steven.
ROBIN: Stevie Boy.
EDDIE: Holy shit, Robin, let the man breathe.
ROBIN: He doesnât deserve to breathe. Heâs been ignoring us.
YOU: He probably died in a tragic hairspray accident.
EDDIE: A fallen soldier.
ROBIN: A hero.
YOU: Rest in peace, big guy.
STEVE: Jesus Christ, IâM BUSY.
EDDIE: Oh wow, he lives.
ROBIN: Itâs a miracle!!
YOU: Huh, I was just about to hold a sĂŠance.
STEVE: I hate all of you.
ROBIN: Lies. You love us.
EDDIE: And yet, he keeps bailing on everything.
ROBIN: Right? The audacity.
YOU: I was kinda hoping he wasnât all talk, butâŚ
STEVE: âŚ
STEVE: What the hell is that supposed to mean?
YOU: No big deal, Harrington. Just⌠yâknow. Disappointing.
EDDIE: Ohhh, sheâs calling you out, Harrington.
ROBIN: SHEâS CALLING YOU OUT, HARRINGTON.
STEVE: I hate all of you.
EDDIE: You said that already.
ROBIN: So, does that mean youâre coming to movie night?
STEVE: No.
ROBIN: YOU ACTUAL LOSER.
EDDIE: Disgraceful.
YOU: Youâre breaking my heart, Steve.
STEVE: âŚ
STEVE: We only just met, New York, come on!
YOU: And yet, here I am. Heartbroken.
EDDIE: Oof.
ROBIN: Cold.
YOU: This is on you, Harrington.Â
Steve groaned, rubbing his face.
He didnât like the way his stomach twisted at your words. Even though you were obviously joking - trying to get a rise out of him, as usual.Â
He didnât like the way his fingers hovered over his phone longer than necessary before finally setting it down.
He missed the four of you. Better yet, he missed you - just you, and that was the problem.Â
Burying his face in his hands, he ran his aching fingers through his hair for the thousandth time, when he heard a familiar voice calling for him.
He looked up to see Nancy, already halfway to his table with a small smile. He straightened.Â
âHey, Nance.â
Wheeler hesitated, giving him a once over. Latching on to the strap of her bag, he saw it on her face as she made up her mind. Nancy nodded slowly to the chair across from him. âMind if I sit?â
He shook his head, leaning back into the chair. âNot at all.â
Nancy slid into the chair opposite of him, wrapping her hands around her coffee cup.
She tilted her head at him. âYou look⌠pensive.â
Steve huffed a laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. âYeah, well. Thatâs one word for it.â
Nancy smiled knowingly into her cup.Â
For a moment, neither of them spoke, years of history hovering silently over the table. Years of being tangled up in each otherâs lives; of being young and dumb and thinking forever was easy.
Nancy sipped her coffee.Â
âYouâve been avoiding me,â she mentioned matter-of-factly.Â
Steve snorted. âI wouldnât say that.â
She arched a brow at him.
Steve sighed, giving her a surrendering look. âOkay, maybe a little.â
Nancy smirked. âFigured.â
Another pause made up of silence that wasnât empty. It was filled with bittersweet memories, with the ghosts of past arguments and stolen kisses, with the weight of what was and what will never be again.Â
Steve tapped his fingers against his cup, thoughtful.
âDid we ever stand a chance?â
Nancy blinked. The question didnât surprise her. Steve actually asking it did.Â
She let out a slow breath, watching him carefully.
âMaybe,â she shrugged. âAt a different time. If weâd been different people back then.â
Steve nodded, staring at the table. âYeah.â
âBut we werenât,â she said gently, wishing for him to look at her. âAnd I donât think we were ever supposed to be.â
Steve exhaled a laugh, shaking his head. âI think I knew that, too. Even when I didnât want to.â
It felt good to say that out loud.Â
Nancy smiled, soft. âI donât regret us, though.â
Steve finally looked at her then, his fingertips tapping softly against his cup. âMe neither.â
After a beat, Nancy bit her bottom lip - she looked like she was weighting what she planned to say next.Â
âI do regret not letting myself feel things fully, though. When I had the chance.â
Steve frowned slightly, watching her closely. âWhat do you mean?â
Nancy stirred her coffee, thoughtful. âI feel like I spent a lot of time afraid - of making the wrong choice, or - of saying the wrong thing. Of getting it all wrong.â She waved her hand in the air. âI was so focused on the thing between us potentially breaking me, that I didnât realize I was hurting you in the processâ.Â
Nancy met Steveâs eyes, while he listened. âIf I could do it again, Iâd let myself be all in. And maybe, you know, embrace it, instead of writing an elegy for the relationship I didnât even give a proper chance to. â
Something in Steveâs chest tightened - because it all hit pretty close to home. He knew exactly what Nancy was talking about - hell, he knew all along why heâd been keeping his distance from you.
Because this thing â whatever it was â was starting to feel big, starting to feel real.
And what if it didnât last? What if it all fell apart?Â
That would hurt like a fucking bitch.
Nancy smirked, seeing it all play out on his face. âYouâre falling for someone, arenât you?â
Steve opened his mouth â
Then closed it.
Nancy laughed. âOh my God, you totally are.â
Steve groaned, leaning back. âJesus, Wheeler. Canât a guy just have an existential crisis in peace?â
She grinned in response, but her voice was gentle when she said:Â
âDonât run from it, Steve. Donât ruin it before you give it a chance.â
Steve exhaled, shaking his head. âEasier said than done.â
Nancy pressed her lips together, swirling now cold coffee in the cup. âYeah, well. I think youâll regret it if you donât.â
Steve gave her a long, appraising look. Maybe in some other life, things would have been different between them. But in this one? Nancy Wheeler was just his friend.
And right now, she was giving him the kind of advice that only a good friend would.
Steve offered her a sincere smile. âThanks, Nance.â
Nancy nodded, softly. âAnytime, Harrington.â
Sliding from the booth, Steve made his way to the counter and pulled out his wallet to pay for their coffees. While waiting for change, he fished out his phone from the front pocket of his jacket and found your name in his contacts.
Before he could press âCallâ, his phone buzzed in his hand, a message popping up on the top of the screen.
This wasnât a part of a group chat, you name winking at him next to a simple text.Â
Hey stranger. Up for a drink tonight?
Steve stared at it. Felt the words settle in his chest.
He ran a hand over his face, exhaling slowly. Hey, stranger. Like it was nothing. Like the days of silence between you had been a pause, not an ending. Like you havenât been the last thing on his mind every damn night.
His thumb hovered over the screen. His chest swelled with hope.
Steve swallowed hard, then typed:
âTime and place?â
And hit send before he could talk himself out of it - precisely why, just seconds ago, he had wanted to call.Â
-
Eight.
Steve wasnât nervous.
Or at least, thatâs what he kept telling himself.
It was stupid to be nervous. You and him had spent so much time together by now - it felt like youâd known each other for ages. He knew how you took your coffee, the exact way your mouth curled when you were about to say something cutting but hilarious, how you tucked your hair behind your ear when you were listening to someone talk. He knew you.
But tonight felt different.Â
It was the first time youâd be hanging out alone, just the two of you, without Robin or Eddie and the constant buffer of two loud, teasing friends. Steve wasnât sure if Robin knew, wasnât sure if she and Eddie were somewhere right now making bets on how this would play out.
He didnât know why it felt like his whole world was shifting, but it did.
So he sat at the bar, still in his white linen shirt and tailored slacks from an excruciatingly dull day at the club with his fatherâs associates, feeling wildly out of place. He stirred the ice in his glass of water, staring at the condensation as he forced himself not to check his watch.
(He did not trust himself to drink tonight.)
The door to the bar swung open, letting in a burst of summer air, and his stomach flipped before he even looked up. He knew it was you. He felt it before he saw you, like a change in the atmosphere, an invisible pull tightening in his chest.
And then â there you were.
Steve forgot how to function as a human being.
You werenât trying to turn heads, but you did.
The dress was simple. Black, thin straps, something that barely brushed against the tops of your knees. But it clung in all the right places, shifted around your thighs as you moved, your bare shoulders illuminated by the dim bar lighting.
You were like a shot of whiskey in a crystal glass. Smooth. Lethal.
And Steve was dying of thirst.Â
Your eyes found his - and you just smiled like you knew exactly what was happening in his brain.
It wasnât fair.
Steve straightened instinctively, hands pressing against his thighs as if that would stop them from fidgeting. He swallowed hard, watching you weave through the crowd. Your perfume - cashmere, jasmin, maybe apricot? - wafted around as you placed a hand on his shoulder, and pressed a quick, soft kiss to his cheek before sliding into the seat next to him.Â
Steve could still feel the warmth of it, searing into his skin.
âHey, stranger,â you greeted, flagging down the bartender. âYouâre early.â Your voice was light, teasing, but your eyes flickered over him, curious.
âYeah,â he said, then cleared his throat. âDidnât wanna keep you waiting.â
Your lips twitched, amused, but there was something else there tooâsomething Steve couldnât quite name yet.
âHuh. I thought maybe youâd skipped town.â
âIâve been busy,â he said, and it was pathetic how quickly he could hear the lie in his own voice.
You hummed, amused. But decided to still give him a chance - to further embarrass himself. âBusy?â Steve shifted in his seat, forcing himself to meet your gaze. âYeah. Yâknow. Family stuff. Workâ. He sucked on his water, only to stop himself from talking.Â
âRightâ, you nodded. âFamily. Work. The two things that keep people from answering texts.â
He winced. There it was.
âI didnât mean toââ He exhaled sharply, dragging a hand through his hair. âI wasnât ignoring you.â
You took a slow sip of your drink, watching him over the rim. Then, finally: âOkay.â
That was it. No argument. No pressing for an explanation. Just that single, unreadable word.
And somehow, that was worse.
Steve leaned forward, resting his arms on the bar. âI swear I wasn't. I just⌠my parents have been around more lately. Making me sit through business dinners and all that bullshit. You know how it is.â
Steve remembered your offhand comments about your dad, about growing up with people who only cared about wealth and status. It was one of the first things youâd connected over, how empty it could all feel.
You gave a slow nod, swirling the drink in your hand - because you did know.Â
Feeling encouraged, Steve cleared his throat and then added: âAnd I needed to clear my head.â
Your expression didnât change, but you set your glass down a little too carefully. âAnd? Is it clear now?â
He swallowed hard. He could lie again, keep pretending this was just another casual night out, but the truth was sitting in his throat, thick and insistent.
âNo,â he admitted. âNot even close.â
Your fingers curled around your glass, but you didnât look away. âSo why did you come?â
Steve let out a quiet laugh, mostly at himself. âBecause Iâm an idiot.â
That made you smile, but it wasnât the easy, teasing one he was used to. It was softer, something a little more careful.
âAnd I owe you an apology,â he finally said, his eyes sincere and bright. âIâm sorry Iâve been pulling back. The truth is - I -â he bit down on his lip. âIâve been trying to put some distance between us, because the way I feel about you scares me, and I donât know how to best deal with this, I - I just donât knowâ.Â
His voice was raw and uncertain - and in that moment, under the dim lights of the posh, expensive bar - Steve Harrington was the most goddamn authentic, beautiful thing, illuminating the room. âSteve,â you said, soft but calling for attention. Calm but determined. You set your drink down.Â
His eyes flicked up, meeting yours, and for the first time tonight, he didnât try to look away.
âI missed you,â you continued, voice steady. âSo I donât want distance. I donât want you to run from this. I donât want to play games, Harrington.â
His throat bobbed, something shifting behind his eyes.
âWhat I do want,â you said, voice dipping just slightly, âis to kiss you.â
Steveâs brain short-circuited. For a second, he just stared, like he was trying to make sure he wasnât imagining this.
âBut I wonât,â you added. âNot unless you truly want it too.â
Steve sucked in a breath, sharp and uneven.
His pulse was a drum against his ribs, hammering in time with the words youâd just said. What I do want is to kiss you.
His mind scrambled for something â anything â coherent to say, but nothing came out. Because fuck, he wanted that too. Wanted it so badly it almost knocked him flat.
He could still feel the weight of your gaze, steady and patient, giving him space, letting him decide. And that was what did him in. Not the way you looked at him like he was something worth waiting for, not the way your lips had wrapped around those words like a promise â but the fact that you gave him the choice - to either go all in, or not at all.Â
He exhaled shakily, a slow, almost disbelieving smile curling at the edges of his mouth. âYou really donât like to make things easy, huh?â
Your lips twitched, amused. âWhatâs the fun in that?â
Steve didnât answer. He reached for you, slow but certain, his fingers grazing the warm skin of your arm as he pulled you in.
You just watched him, eyes dark and searching, your lips parted slightly as if waiting, daring him to make the next move.
And he did.
His hands came up, cupping your face gently, like you were something precious, something he had no business touching but couldnât resist. His thumbs traced the edges of your jaw, his fingers slipping into your hair, feeling the silk of it against his knuckles.
You exhaled, and he felt it - your breath, warm and steady against his mouth.
The moment your lips met, the world shrank.
Everything - the noise of the bar, the clinking of glasses, the murmur of conversation, the weight of all the time you had wasted - fell away.
Steveâs touch was reverent, like he was memorizing the feel of you beneath his palms, like he was afraid you might slip through his fingers if he wasnât careful.
But you werenât going anywhere.
You leaned in, pressing closer, and Steve swore he felt the earth tilt beneath him. His lips moved against yours, slow at first â hesitant, savoring, like he was trying to make up for every second he had spent denying himself this.
Then you sighed into his mouth, and something inside him snapped.
His hands tightened against your cheeks, pulling you in deeper - and you let him. Met him, matched him. The kiss deepened, turned desperate - finally, finally, finally - like a dam breaking, like something inevitable, something that had been building for longer than either of you wanted to admit. ---
Group Chat â The Chaos Crew
EDDIE: [a blurred photo of you and Steve walking out of the bar, hand in hand.]
EDDIE: Pay up, Buckley.
ROBIN: WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HELL??
ROBIN: I WAS OFFLINE FOR TWO HOURS. TWO. HOURS!!
STEVE: Pictureâs blurry, man. But pretty straightforward.
YOU: But, damn, we look good.Â
ROBIN: OH SO YOUâRE A TEAM NOW??Â
ROBIN: JUST DROPPING BOMBS CASUALLY??
EDDIE: Lmao sheâs spiraling.
ROBIN: I AM NOT SPIRALING.Â
STEVE: Robin. Breathe.
STEVE: If thatâs any consolation, youâre still our first choice for best woman đ EDDIE: I can be the flower girl.Â
EDDIE: @Robin, told you thereâs no way this wasnât going there.Â
YOU: Maybe a little too soon for the wedding though?
STEVE: Yeah - letâs agree on the dog first.Â
EDDIE: Oh, youâre done for, Harrington.
ROBIN: Absolutely wrecked.
STEVE: Yeah. I am :)
What it's like dating đ Rise!Donatellođ - Headcanons and ficlet
x f!reader. The ficlet is self-indulgent. Sorry if you don't run for fun lol
More Ninja Turtle headcanons in my masterlist!
Mr. Bootyyyshaker9000 has bewitched you, body and soul, and you're not ashamed to say it.
And, seriously, this smooth fucker didn't even have to try. Yeah, he thought you were cute when you both met, but Donnie's so magnetic that you were down bad for him before he actually had to flirt consciously with you.
Smooth Donatellooooooo~ (read to the tune of Smooth Operator)
Was it his voice that drew you to him with such fervor? His intellect? His personality? The answer is yes.
Donnie's large vocabulary and well-read nature combined with his affection for you make for many eloquent, beautifully delivered speeches on how much you matter to him. Even if you were never one for poetry, you will be when you're around Donnie.
Though he's not comfortable with heavy physical contact, Donatello does enjoy being in your proximity, whether you're playing a video game with each other or reading silently on your own while both on a couch or a bean bag. Donnie really appreciates that you understand that proximity doesn't always have to be physical contact.
Naturally, he really began to fall for you when he noticed you would always listen to him til the end while he was talking. Even when he'd lose the attention of others in the room, you'd always be paying close attention to him regardless of what he was infodumping about. And hey, you've honestly learned a lot about a whole bunch of things since you started going out with him.
Something about Donnie not showing that many emotions somehow makes the emotional part easier. If you're ever upset and don't want to get too deep into it, but rather you just want to be in the company of a loved one for comfort, you can seek him out and be with him in silence, letting the mutual quiet soothe you.
Months into the relationship, Donnie surprised you with a gentle pat on the head when you were upset about something. You smiled through your tears when he did that.
He also thinks you're super cool, both because of the things you have in common with him but also because of the parts where you're different from him. Donnie knows his own limitations and weaknesses very well, and if he ever sees you doing well where he might struggle, he'll admire you dearly for it. He might not say it, but he does feel it.
Donnie invites you to spectate the lair games and dedicates every one of his victories to you, even if he might not win many events. Leo doesn't make it easy for Donnie to show off during the games, that's for sure.
But Donnie does show off when he can. Yes, being flashy in some ways is a part of who he is, with his tech and his gadgets, but there are also times when he shows off just for you.
Donatello one time arrived with you and leaned on the counter all broody and mysterious. He was wearing shades (you thought he looked handsome) and in that smooth voice of his, he suddenly broke the silence.
"I just got platinum member status at the library."
You swooned dramatically, and despite your play, you also wanted him to know you understood what it meant to him, and he appreciates you for that.
Or the time when he arrived with you with his laptop open after hours of having disappeared into the darkness with it, showing you a screen full of C++ code. "I found the missing semi-colon." That time you
That time you swooned legitimately. Finding a missing semi-colon in code warrants a medal.
When you found out he drew his eyebrows on, it nearly destroyed him. To be fair, Mikey had blurted it out, and that was what mainly bothered Donnie - just his dumb dumb brother being a dumb dumb. But he was, deep down, afraid antics like that would come between you and him.
"It's not about the eyebrows, okay?"
To reassure him, you told him that the fact that he drew eyebrows on while the others didn't was a clear sign of his superior intellect. He saw right through your attempt to cheer him up, but he appreciated you for it nonetheless.
Kisses with him tend to be very short and sweet, and it isn't until several months into the relationship that Donnie begins feeling comfortable with longer kisses and even make outs.
His hands don't roam all that much around your body, but when he's comfortable, he'll hold you close in place.
Eventually, Donatello becomes fond of holding your hand while kissing. He notices the warmth of your hands and the fact that they don't get sweaty, as well as the fact that you wash your hands regularly and use sanitizer. He adores that.
Donnie also compliments your intelligence a lot, which to his brothers is mind-blowing.
The main compliment is "Of course (Y/N) is of superior intellect. Exhibit A, I am the love interest."
Your mutual sarcasm lets you both be on a similar wavelength, especially when it comes to his brothers. They're all formidable when it comes to sarcasm, but when you're with Donnie, it's double the trouble.
He also learns about the things that interest you and he'll make great amounts of conversation with you about it, which you love. You finally have someone who will talk for hours with you about your favorite things!
If you're into any sports, he'll research proper form and technique to help you improve and prevent any injury, and he'll know about competitions, its history, its origin, even down to what teams to root for based on stats.
If you're into a show or a movie, he'll watch it and give you all his opinions. If he likes it too, you could both spend an entire night talking about it without sleeping.
Also, Donatello is a really good cook! He might not add dramatic seasoning to food, but he still has a great "culinary affinity," as he puts it. Mild flavors were never equal to bad flavors.
He loves mascarpone cheese because of this reason - it's like cream cheese, but the flavor is so much more delicate and creamy. Bake him a cheesecake with mascarpone instead of cream cheese, or add a dab of mascarpone over his pizza and he will float off into a cheesy, delicious dream.
Donatello isn't one to take many photos of himself or with you, but he does record your dates and your moments with his phone or any other cameras he may have. He might take a photo of the food before you eat it or the skyline if you go out at night, and he'll remember exactly what happened on the day or night of each one.
Donnie will also keep, and give you, a lot of mementos. From things he picks up to things he buys to things he makes himself. A book on your favorite hobby, a custom mousepad fit specifically for your wrist for those long work hours, a sticker Mikey painted that reminded him of you and would look nice on your laptop or your phone case.
He started off giving you things he found laying around the sewers... but then he realized that might not be the best gift to give.
Donnie lets you get prime early access to his technological advances, unless said technological advances involve projectiles or fire of any kind. When that's the case, he just goes to Leo.
Oh yeah, don't forget that those two are the Disaster Twins. Leonardo is a third wheel on many of your dates with Donnie and he's insufferable about it. Loveable, but insufferable.
In his own way, Leo holds you in high regard too. Leonardo knows he doesn't always understand Donnie to the fullest, even though he tries to, and he knows anyone outside the family would find it really easy to brush over Donnie or roll their eyes at his infodumping. Leo, and all the Hamato clan for that matter, truly appreciates you for how great you are with Donnie.
Leo shows you that affection by letting you see Disaster Twin antics no one else would get to see. Consider yourself lucky.
Back to Donnie. His first love confession came out in full Donatello fashion, with a food-related exclamation and during a moment when your mind shined bright with an amazing idea that would perfectly use his tech in a way better than even he initially intended.
"Holy green chilaquiles with refried beans, I love you so much!"
You had come back to the lair from your run feeling great. Energized, strong, if not a little sweaty. You knew you could make yourself at home, and you took a nice shower, slipped into some clean clothes, and finally went to make yourself at home on the comfy couch in Donnie's lounge, the soft one that had a purple knit blanket folded neatly on one of the arm rests. You got cozy and turned the TV on a low volume for some white noise while you caught up with messages on your phone, and in the background, you could hear him.
Him, your turtle man, who mumbled to himself indistinctly with his eyes glued to whatever screen he was working on, occasionally pacing back and forth across the room according to what he needed. Heaven knew what he was up to this time, but you smiled to yourself knowing you'd find out soon enough. The uttered "logistics," "package," and "cheese" did raise a few questions, but none that would put any matters of security immediately at hand. Your focus remained mainly on your phone, but you did manage a smile to yourself.
Donnie was adorable when he did that.
You finished going through your messages and relaxation seemed to settle in when you no longer had any notification bubbles biting for your attention. It was then that you decided to shift your position on the couch, but when you did, your leg moved in such a way that made an "Oof!" briefly escape you, and in a matter of seconds, Donatello was in front of you.
"You good?"
You gave a breathless little laugh. "Wow, you're quite the ninja."
"A known fact, go on," Donnie smirked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," you continued. "Just a little post-run tension, that's all."
"Were you overstriding?" He asked.
"No, not that I'm aware of," you replied. "I've been following all the posture and form recommendations you gave me."
"Good," he smiled proudly at himself. "Well, running is still taxing on the muscles and joints. If you're certain it's not pain, and only tension..."
"I am," you confirmed.
"Ah, right," Donnie said as he turned around and began making his way out of the lounge.
"Donnie?" You straightened your back on the couch to try and watch where he was going. "Donnie-- Don? Yeah, you're gone."
You would have followed him, but the tension in your leg made the idea of staying on the cozy couch all too appealing. Luckily for you, Donnie didn't take long with whatever he intended, and when he returned to you, he adopted a proud pose between you and the television and held a flask out in his hand for you to see.
"Behold, fair maiden, my very own muscle-tension-pain-relief serum! A concoction of menthol, herbs, and other ingredients I am hard-wired not to divulge lest someone will take my formula and profit off of it and I am far too busy for that," Donnie gave a light bow and gave you the flask. "Do not use near an open flame."
You deadpanned at him. "Really?"
"What?"
"Do you really have to give that painfully, stupidly obvious disclaimer?" You giggled.
"I have a Mikey and a Leo."
Your deadpan became a grimace tainted with understanding. Millions of possible ways in which his brothers, at least in their younger days, could have been seen as hazardous near any inflammable liquid made you want to laugh with fear. "Yeah, fair enough."
With a light chuckle, Donnie sat next to you. "Where's the discomfort?"
"My left calf and a little bit of the hamstring," you said, lifting up your pijama bottoms - you were thankful they were baggy, making it easier to treat your aching leg.
"Ah yes," he said and directed you a look. "Shall you, or shall I?"
You couldn't help but widen your eyes a little at Donnie. "I-I- I mean, I can do it if you want, but... I'm not opposed to you..."
Donatello smirked with a hint of softness and opened the flask, pouring some of it on his palm before reaching for your calf and rubbing gently. You felt the hot-cold sensation of the remedy immediately comforting your leg, so much better and more effective than any store bought gel you'd ever come across. But more than that, feeling Donnie's touch on you, his proximity, his willingness to take care of you using something he had created... it made you soft inside, warm like a little bun right out of the oven, and you showed it through a gentle smile.
"Thanks, Donnie," you hummed.
"Reapply before you go to sleep," Donnie replied. "And hydrate."
"Yes, coach," you raised a brow.
Donatello laughed with confidence. "Coach, that's cute. I prefer either Sensei or All Time Chief Mastermind of the Supreme."
"I'll stick to Bootyyyshaker."
He raised one perfectly drawn brow at you, unamused.
"Sorry," you corrected. "Bootyyyshaker9000."
Donatello's scowl became a grin. "There you go."
I hope I did my boy justice. I love Donnie so much.
For My Adventures Clark, what about head-cannons and/or fanfic on what he does to make his girlfriend laugh & smile?
Gender neutral headcannons! How Clark comforts you, cares for you, tries to show love, and cheer you up.
Clark is observant, that much is clear. From X-ray and enhanced vision to super hearing, he uses all of his Kryptonian abilities at his disposal when it comes to you.
He could be halfway across the city stopping an entire robbery. All of the sudden you say something along the lines of being in pain and he's moving at unregistrable speed to get to you as soon as possible (of course after quickly finishing what he was doing). And yes, you are the only person he willingly listens in on.
Clarks always alert with how you're feeling, even if he's far away, he prioritizes your well being like you do his.
Feeling overstimulated/overwhelmed? Clark helps you get away from all of the commotion. Whether that's going up above the clouds and flying for a bit, or finding you a secluded spot to cool down and leaving you be.
He pays attention to your habits, along with common expressions you make when you're feeling a certain way. Especially when zoned out, Clark gently tries to get your attention to keep you grounded and helps in any way he can.
If he's really busy he might text you something random like 'look up'. You do, and suddenly you see a massive heart drawn into the sky, watching him wave to you from far above before going back to saving the city.
Clark loves to leave you notes too, things hidden in your office drawer, or in the lounge room fridge with a small sticky note attached.
He always gets you fresh flowers from a florist that gives him discounts. The thing is though, they're always hand picked, with different combinations and thought out reasons for as to why he chose those specific flowers. Maybe it reminded him of your eye color, or that specific flower stands for something. Whatever it is, the vase that sits on your desk always gets exchanged frequently, and is always taken care of.
Clark also loves picking you up, spinning you around and hugging you. He's very careful not to hurt you though, but those moments are often filled with mutual laughter.
A major part of Clarks love language is understanding and accepting his partner fully due to his own circumstances as a Kryptonian. While he may be aware of habits and or disabilities you have right off the bat, he wants you to tell him yourself when youâre ready, but he is your number one supporter.
He always tries to make you feel more comfortable in your skin, knowing what itâs like to be rejected and out of place in his own. You each teach one another about your different culture, and Clark takes it upon himself to do a good amount of research if it means getting to know you better!
Clark also loves physical touch, especially small gestures like hand holding. Even if you two had argued, or if you're upset, he always tries to reassure you by softly squeezing your hand, thumbing your skin, etc. His hands are quite large, and I like to think holding his partner's hand grounds him just as much as it grounds you.
I love writing for him, please feel free to request more!!
