It is so pivitol to me that you guys know that in my nothing goes wrong ever and everyone lives all is well grieves trio au, that Bernard becomes a chef for one singular reason. He moves away to go to a chef school (I'm gonna seperate them temporarily in every au it is vital) and when he comes back opens an Italian restaurant as physically close to the Aquista headquarters as possible. I know in my heart these people who love the world of DA so much and who have written so fantastically and with such nuance in the past fought tooth and nail to at the very least, give us what we have. What we have may not be what a number of us wanted, but it's at least not a complete horrific disaster. Game is Good! Game is Fine! Game fucking runs, which apparently something that no other company can manage these days.

Joplin at least gets to be mythologised in an artbook rather than crashing and burning in front of us due to corporate bullshit. And we as the community get to set to work building our own shit, like we have every single time since 2009.

I do wish they'd give us the Black Codex though. We could write SOOOOOOOO much fic with that.
