Captain Sinon of the 9th Co. Devastator, Ultramarines and Lieutenant Diomedes of the 8th Co. Close Support, Ultramarines carrying Teeth of Terra relic chainsword. Both en route to Vigilus warzone with chapter elements to support Strike Force Sigeles. My list needed more characters for support, so I built these 2. Capt Sinon as captain of the Devastator company has loadsa gear. I gave him a super signum like those carried by devastator sergeants but mounted it on the missile launcher backpack so he can still resupply his troops. He's similarly carrying 2 melta bombs on it cos he likes when things go *crump*. His weapons are magnetised. Currently I only need him cheap as chips so in game he carrys 2 chainswords which will be boring in the long term. I also realise in taking these pics I didn't greenstuff over the death co symbol on his left hand. Lt Diomedes will be supporting my jump smash captain and so I made them both of the same company. His giganto sword is white tacked in place for the photos. Bonus instadollars for anyone who gets the reference of his name. The old metal vanguard are lovely sculpts and I've not used them in 2 editons so they got stripped. Got to spend a bit of time today on my mine worker militia. It's a basic kit-bash with Catachan and Genestealer Neophyte bits with a lot of green stuff. I've made sure they've all got goggles or shades to suggest that they've spent so long underground that they can't really handle sunlight anymore. These are pretty much done. Hello Entropists! Today, I'd like to introduce you all to a concept that I feel encapsulates the core of my aesthetic - a theme I've named: **Grimepunk**.

Grimepunk is a dark and unsettling artistic style that explores the grim reality of a society marked by decay and entropy. Emphasizing the dirty and grotesque, Grimepunk incorporates natural and unusual textures, designed to provoke a sense of unease and revulsion.

This aesthetic finds beauty in the weathered and worn, drawing visual intrigue from rust, grime, and industrial decay. It's about exploring the life that emerges from the filth and waste of a dystopian society - telling the stories of the downtrodden, the grotesque, the figures that dwell in the shadows and pits.

Survival, resilience, rebellion - these are the heartbeats of a Grimepunk world, a stark contrast to sanitized futurism. It's about creating a hauntingly authentic, raw reality.

Grimepunk resonates deeply with my personal style and vision. I believe it's an apt name for my work, and I look forward to building on this concept. My hope is that as we explore and delve deeper into Grimepunk together, this genre will continue to evolve and inspire.
