i used to customize a lot of tshirts, painting them, made my own band merch… they turned out well, i was good at it and didn’t know embroidery yet so it didn’t take that long, but then i would never wear them because wanted to draw no more attention to myself, because yknow, autistic not-always-verbal (i forget the word for that) teenager with horrendous body dysmorphia.

like a year ago i flipped one from LIKE 2009 inside out and cut up the front…

today i fought the lack of focus to continue and WON and got the sewing machine out! (i hate using the sewing machine. weird machine enjoyer prefers handsewing, whoda thought) finished the edges, put eyelets in, and deleted the sleeves.

it’s too cold to change into it rn lol but i’m happy with it so far!! need a slightly longer lace or thinner thing to fasten it with. did u guys know a long thin strip of leather is called a thong? i need to get me some thongs 😈

I'm thinking maybe for my next quilt, I'll work with a subdued desaturated color palette for a change...but honestly probably not!!

#red is my favorite #for quilting at least #my favorite color is actually like a lavender lilac #but i literally never find fabric in that color #and i don't like to wear pink #but I love using pink in quilting and art #i definitely don't like using a lot of white in quilts #but it would be nice to do something subtle or even pastel and low contrast #perhaps a desaturated rainbow gradation #i might have to dye my own fabrics just to find the right shades #but i do want to break out of using hot pink and classic red in everything
