Reasons Why Toy Industries Use Die-casting For Model Replica

Die casting has emerged to be one of the most prolific and versatile metalworking processes with time. It has helped manufacturers create some countless range of parts in diversified fields of industries. One of such industries is the toy industry, it has revolutionized the quality of toys created by the industries. The recent toys, especially of manufacturing industry are now more detailed, precise and are a perfect replica model of the original machinery, car or any other product. All thanks to the die-casting process for bringing this modification to our modern day toys and models.

Note: ‘Zamac’ is the name of the material used for making a Diecast Model Replica, which is a combination of zinc and aluminium.

Die-Casting In Model Making

Die-casting is a highly efficient and economical process for creating working models of earthmoving machines or automobiles. It offers the flexibility of manufacturing a wide range of complex components and shapes when compared with any other manufacturing technique. The models designed with this process tend to have a long working life and could be designed to match the visual appeal of the original parts.

For instance, earthmoving machines are one of the most complex giant machines that humans work with but making their replica’s become quite easy and flexible with die-casting. The process can design exact replica’s of earthmoving equipment, accessories and also its construction model. Here are some reasons why earthmoving model replica is manufactured with the die-casting process:

Dimensional Stability And Accuracy: Die casting produce parts that are durable and dimensionally stable while maintaining close tolerances. They’re also heat resistant.

High-speed production: Die casting offers complex shapes within closer tolerances than a number of other mass output processes. Little or no machining is needed and thousands of similar/identical castings of close tolerances could be produced before any type of additional tooling.

Multiple Finishing Methods: Die cast parts could be manufactured with textured or smooth surfaces, and they are easily plated or finished using a minimum of surface preparation.

Strength And Weight: Die cast parts are more durable than plastic injection mouldings having the exact dimensions. Lean wall castings are stronger and lighter than those possible with additional casting methods. Plus, because die castings do not contain separate parts welded or secured together, the advantage is that majority of product is in one piece and hence is high on strength part.

Easy Assembly: Die castings offer integral fastening elements, like bosses and studs. Holes could be invisibly and forced to tap drill sizes, or outside threads may be cast.

 Crimson, green, yellow and white – do you see the footballpark outside? Go up, go down, go all around, and find the fields in different states. Watery or dry – it’s for you to choose where to play or if you just want to relax at small ponds – where you can stay and just observe the small polliwogs turn into joyful frogs. 

Football is not only football. It brings people together to play. It doesn’t require much to play football– you need two teams, a ball and two goals. A footballstadium does not need anything fancy, neither an improvised Grümpelturnier. So is our design – by slightly forming hills to lay, sit or stand, we are already creating tribunes. It actually does not take more than that. 

Energy strategy: Digging up into the earth, detaching the facades in the Brunaupark and their transport is our main energy consumption. But we also have an energy-positive strategy- by planting a lot of trees, bushes and lawn, turning carbondioxide into breathable air again. All the trees are from the region Mittelland – Alpen in Switzerland. This on one side, so endangered species which are threatened by neophytes can recover, but also to keep the transportation costs low. They also survive the best in their own habitat. We planted trees for every season – so at least something blooms every season, in its own beautiful colors. 

Construction: All the material we are getting, is from the Brunaupark near the site, which is planned to be demolished. We will use wood and concrete plates from the facades of the Brunaupark buildings. Using different material will make the site look like a playful bricolage (see construction sketch). We are working with the angle of embankment, why all the angles of the tribune are only until 45 degrees (mostly 30 degrees), which almost prevents against a landslide. To fully prevent against a landslide, we put the plates deeper into the ground as usual, that should replace the conrete foundations of today. The plates are also slightly tilted against the hill.
