I forgot to mention Little Star's weapon of choice!

While Wukong had his staff and Macaque had his staff (gold and iron rods, respectively) Little Star uses chui, twin hammers/maces. A traditional Chinese weapon.

They're typically used in pairs. I like all of the celestial primates excelling in using bludgeoning weapons LMFAO. So these would pack quite a punch! Little Star could put bits of celestial/cosmic magic in the rounded spheres of the chui and that would add power behind their swings and attacks.

As for design...I have no clue. Maybe black or white to go with their color pallet? I dunno guys, I'm not an artist 😭but! they would definitely be fancy and ornate. Little Star loves...stars LOL so maybe some star imagery??

What does Little Star look like? 👀

Alright, well!! Just wanna preface this by saying that, because i'm not an artist, you just have to deal with my terrible descriptions. LMFAO okay, let's go.

So! here's how Little Star looks in simple terms:

silver hair

gold eyes (ofc)

light brown skin (darker than Macaque's)

baby blue clothes

marking has a few spiked edges on it... like a star?? I'm kinda up in the air on this one.

their marking is either...a slight greyish color?? or maybe..a dark grey...or black i dunno. i don't know color theory 😭😭😭

Going a bit more in depth, I can talk about the parts of their design I'm sure of LMFAO

Their hair would be much like shadowpeach's, except they have a ponytail with a red ribbon tied around it! I'm thinking they might have bangs...! I just don't know how that'd look in lego style so I'm like 🤷‍♀️

I got some inspiration from Zhang Chengling from Word of Honor! Good show, love the boy...love this style for Little Star.

Like, bangs and a ponytail in this style! Maybe shorter bangs. I dunno but! Anyway, for the baby blue outfit:

Have you guys heard of Samurai Warriors LMFAO Little Star travels a lot, so their outfit would be a little all over the place. But I like the cape here and the footwear. AND THE SHORTS I like a celestial primate not wearing pants??? I think Little Star would be that primate. They will show off their silver, furry knees THANKS! The colors in the above picture aren't right, but the vibes and hairstyle are.

Okay one more example for Little Star vibes.

Moroha from Inuyasha is! Also a good example hair wise and outfit wise. Hopefully you guys can see the similarities. Little Star is very much a "little sister/niece" type of character. Very energetic. Flies from one thing to the other. But loves deeply and fiercely. As the celestial primate of connections, they're eager to make connections with everyone. They like making people smile. They like making people believe in magic and be filled with hope.

A bit of a people pleaser. Stubborn (what celestial primate isn't) can be a little insensitive at times. Tends to focus on others instead of themselves. LOVES magic so much! Hates the time it takes to get good at magic. A risk-taker, isn't afraid to speak their mind, LOVES making fun of Wukong and Macaque but it's all in good fun. WOULD LOVE MK SO MUCH, HE'S SO FUN! Cannot see him right now because they're MIA 😭

AO3 is back up but I’m still writing Nimona headcanons

I feel like the main trio are all really bad at taking care of themselves 

Nimona can go a long time without eating drinking or sleeping so it's really easy for her to fall into a pattern of not taking care of herself until she’s sluggish and snappy

At first it was really hard for the boys to distinguish her food withdrawals from her normal chaos 

When they do figure it out they make sure she eats and drinks at least once a day even if it small

It took a minute for her to adapt to this because she views taking care of herself as a hobby

But after a while she realizes that they’re just looking out for her so she goes along with it

Every once and a while Bal gets hyper-fixated on certain projects which causes him to forget to eat and sleep

Nimona once asked Ambrosius why he doesn’t do anything to stop these habits to which he responded “Oh believe me Nim I’ve tried it’s better to just let him get it out of his system”

Nimona still didn’t understand this and tried to force Bal to get up and take care of himself 

Which just ended with Nimona being on the other side of a verbal thrashing and then quickly shoved out of Bal’s workspace

Ambrosius didn’t even bat an eye 

Just walked around Nimona into the room with some food and water and then quickly left him alone

After that Nimona started to leave Bal snacks and pillows in his workshop when he eventually crashed  

(And occasionally carrying him to his room when Ambrosius was too tired to carry him) 

Bal also forgets to charge his arm 

So it’s not uncommon for his arm to die and stay locked in that position 

One time Ambrosius walked into the kitchen to find Bal hunched in an awkward position over his coffee and he didn’t flinch 

Just gave him a straw and a kiss on his head before he left for work

Another time Nimona walked into the living room to find them cuddled on the couch 

And they start their normal rant of “Ew gross get a room” 

To which Ambrosius replied “I would if I could Nim” 

She was quietly informed that Bal fell asleep and his arm died shortly after and Ambrosius has been stuck like this for hours waiting for Bal to wake up

Nimona laughed so hard they almost woke Bal up

They started storing chargers all around the house after that 

So I have a headcanon that I kind of hinted at in my other post 

But I’m fully convinced that Ambrosius' shoulder is fucked after the movie (he also has scars because I said so)

Because no way in hell can this man take a blast like that to his shoulder and walk away perfectly fine 

Nah that man will be doing PT exercises for the rest of his life 

And this dork forgets to do his exercises until he’s literally on the floor writhing in pain

Bal has tried just about everything to get him to remember 

He’ll leave notes around the house, he’ll remind him before he leaves for work, writing it into his workout routine 

Nimona told him “Boss you’re being too soft” and quickly switched tactics 

Now you might be wondering what method Nimona used and that's simple he started blackmailing Ambrosius 

Nimona started to warn Ambrosius “If you don’t do your exercises I’ll tell boss what happened to the last slice of cake” or “I’ll release the video of you singing at the top of your lungs while cleaning the house” 

And the stupid thing is it worked 

Ambrosius always says shit like “I should have left you in that box on the side of the road” to which Nimona responds with “Nah you’d miss me too much”

He also had a bad habit of getting sucked into little projects like trying to rebuild the city and fixing all the brainwashing that's been going on since the institute was created

You know small tasks for one person

And this dork will stay locked in his office until Nimona and Bal drag his overdramatic ass out

He always makes a big deal about it too screaming shit like “Oh please help me the heroes of the realm are kidnapping me an innocent bystander while I was simply doing my job!”

I feel like Bal and Ambrosius have a lot of nicknames for Nimona “Nim” is the most common 

“Hun” and “kid” are used a couple of times but not nearly as often as the weird ones 

Like “tornado” “tsunami” “hurricane” and “forest fire”

And if we're getting really sappy “starlight”

Now if you're wondering where this one came from I’ll tell you 

When Bal and Ambrosius were little beans Bal called Ambrosius “sunshine” 

It was supposed to be ironic but after that he started calling Bal “moonbeam” 

And Ambrosius jokes that Nimona completes their little astronomy shtick 

She pretended to be grossed out and lets Bal hug her and Bal and Ambrosius pretended not to notice the tears on Bals shirt

God Games finally broke me, so here's my first shot at some Epic Designs

I know Artemis isn't God Games, but wanted to do something with her anyway. Might redesign these, still shaking them around in my head. Might give Apollo shorter hair, I think he would rock a pixie cut, kinda like that one star boy concept art

Dr. Shen's Log

Dr. Shen Jiu, Head of Research at Cang Qiong Facilities. Date; 25, 4, 2024. Project Pisces, Mission 1 report.

We were able to successfully modify an unmanned pod to include a light display across the front that roughly mimics the patterns of the Leviathan class mer ‘Mobei Jun’. Dr. Shang insisted on this display as it allows for the signals he’s most familiar with, and moreover we did not possess adequate footage to mimic the patterns of the Leviathan class we are attempting to establish contact with.

A soon as the mer was located, the unmanned pod, nicknamed ‘Alpherg’, was deployed. It was steered by two of our pilots while Dr. Shang operated the light display. Said light display is, unfortunately, not as complex as the patterns of a live mer, nor can it include the patterns covering the rest of their bodies, which results in only very rudimentary messages being possible.

As with the previous encounter, the Leviathan class mer approached the pod without displaying obvious hunting behaviors. As it approached, Dr. Shang impute a light display that roughly translates to:

Hello. Voice pain.

The mer paused, and responded with a series of flashing patterns and displays across his face, chest and shoulders. Dr. Shang was able to view these displays through the video feed, and has stated that while the mer’s patterns are different in shape and color from Mobei Jun’s, the formation of ‘words’ is done in a very similar fashion across them. He was able to understand the majority of the mer’s communication attempts, and strike up a dialogue.

The following is a rough translation of the conversation held between Dr. Shang and the Leviathan class mer, now recognized as ‘Yue Qingyuan.’

Yue Qingyuan: Hello (?)*1 What hurts?

Dr. Shang: You voice. Hurt me. Quiet. Please.

Yue Qingyuan: My voice is painful? I apologize! What are you doing here?

Dr. Shang: Learn.

Yue Qingyuan: (?)*1 Learn what?

Dr. Shang: Learn you. (!)*2 You name

Yue Qingyuan: What is my name? My name is Yue Qingyuan. What is your name?

Dr. Shang: Can’t voice here. Go up, voice good. You go up.

Yue Qingyuan: The surface? You want me to come to the surface?

Dr. Shang: (!)*2 Yes! Good! Now (*3). Voice you

Yue Qingyuan: I’m not sure I understand.

Dr. Shang: Apologize. Me return soon. Learn you. Surface, voice.

Yue Qingyuan: You… cannot speak to me here, but may on the surface?

Dr. Shang: (!)*

Yue Qingyuan: What exactly are you?

Dr. Shang: Human.

Yue Qingyuan: (?)* You don’t look human.

Dr. Shang: Me human voice.

Yue Qingyuan: A human voice? How strange…

It was noted at this point by Dr. Shang that the mer displayed absolutely no aggressive or hunting behaviors and he believed it would be safe to proceed with closer communication.

Dr. Shang: Me see you. Soon. Call. Me go now.

Yue Qingyuan: Oh! I’m still not sure I understand. Goodbye!

(Notes: *1: A signal indicating curiosity or confusion was used here. *2: A signal indicating excitement or intense emotion was used here. *3: A signal indicating negative or opposing forces was used here)

The encounter ended shortly afterwards. Dr. Shang expressed extreme frustration over Alpherg’s inability to express questions, but seemed overall pleased with the results.

IT'S LITTLE STAR!!! ✨✨✨✨✨ WITH THEIR WEAPONS OMGGG????? they look SO BEAUTIFUL i LOVE the design and those lovely blue and gold colors go so nicely and all the STARS ON IT AAAAAA!!! THEY'RE GORGEOUS!!! like omg the handles??? and the swirlies on the ball part I DON'T KNOW WHAT ALL THE DIFFERENT PARTS ARE CALLED BUT!!!! THE WEAPONS LOOK SO GOOD

I also can't decide between having them be larger/smaller! I just know that my thought with them is that Little Star would store fire and/or cosmic magic inside of them to give their hits a little more kick! and.....bludgeoning someone and knocking them out in one hit. SO!!!

i can just see Little Star running around with these and causing havoc and terror and just having fun 🥺💖 Wukong is so proud of them!
