Fairly fun fellows as far as American alien sightings go. From 1957, these little characters with their cubic craniums had a singular, brief sighting before the hours of twilight.

I think saying that wash should've been more involved in ct's arc in s10 is possibly a controversial take, but I stand by it. like it would've slapped so hard to have wash and ct have a scene together that paralleled york and carolina's scene at the end of s10 (because I'm so mad the wash/lina parallels never went anywhere despite them clearly being set up to do so).
york and carolina fell apart because they didn't communicate, and they both assumed the other would always be by their side and stand by them. it was messy and emotional and neither of them ever got over the other.
wash and ct did communicate, and they didn't have a sudden falling out. they slowly drifted apart and they both had an understanding of the others' motives and what was driving the choices they made. neither of them were happy about the outcome, but they both understood that it wasn't personal.
ct's speech to lina and tex in s10 would've hit so much harder if it had been said to the person she had been trying to convince to see the truth all of s9, not the person who told her to "watch her mouth" at the mere suggestion of the director doing something questionable. a last ditch attempt to get the one person she knows would join her if she just had a little more time—
unfortunately for ct, her gamble on tex had yet to come to fruition, and wash, while willing to listen and planning on apprehending her so they could talk, couldn't stop tex from using lethal force.
also yall know a wash and ct knife fight would've been sick to watch.

i have a show on may v’th | New Haven, CT | alternative rap vibes | i am thrilled to be part of this!
this venue is closing down so this is your last chance to see me perform on this legendary stage. why is it legendary? so many local musician powerhouses have performed at The State House: Love N Co, Phat A$tronaut, Trey Moore, Bennett, Keila Myles, Glambat, and so on.
this venue has been one of the most important underground staples in the CT music scene… and it’s getting bulldozed in a few weeks. damn gentrification!!! they’re turning the whole lot into an apartment building smh
i’m sad to see my city change like this cuz the artists deserve better, and i wish that our resources were protected. but New Haven has always been treated like a stepping stone for folx on a productive yet slowburn journey to success.
to me it seems like our resources get milked for its money value, nothing more or less. everytime i organize and event my goal is for the cultural value of CT arts communities to finally be realized for its value. womp womp tho, i haven’t planned anything since last fall (Punq Noire After Party). i been performing and partying lots, but i haven’t had the energy to organize something until recently so keep a lookout for Punq Noire, things are cooking up :)
in the meantime i’ve got some shows coming up so stay tuned for that.
may 5th 2023 — Cesci Ramos Concert at State House, New Haven
june 3rd 2023 — Middletown Pride Fest in Connecticut
july 1st 2023 — Seeing Sounds Fest at Edgewood Skate Park in New Haven

DEMS FRAUD Numbers of illegal Aliens allowed to vote in American elections by state. Shame on AZ, Missouri and PA who are the worst offenders. Can you imagine going to England, Canada or any other foreign country and voting in their elections? It wouldn’t happen. Source is Social Security Admin. Numbers are growing each week. Story Summary:
Gay Assholes in New York ruin each others lives
The Lore, simplified:
So 50 years ago, in the mid 1990s, an alien escaped from a government facility in Topeka Kansas, and tricked a teenaged girl into destroying the city of Miami, this disaster lead to a revolution in the Pacific Northwest that eventually left the US Government in ruins and in its final acts 79 regional authorities were created to manage the territories of the vast nation. Of particular note is the Regional Authority of the Hudson Valley and New Jersey which became one of the wealthiest nations on the planet for about 3 years before a coup killed the president and the Authority moved its seat of power to Poughkeepsie to try and keep power out of the working classes in New York City, this lead to a massive crackdown on civil rights and liberties that left the authority a despotic state, which in an effort to maintain its power began several ongoing wars in the Connecticut Valley over control of New Haven and Stamford, 15 years after the authority was created, a promised election to begin phasing democracy back into New York was canceled, leading to bloody riots in Hoboken and Bayonne that further militarized the state leading to a state of contradictions, where democracy and civil liberty are in effect dead but there is still a large leftist population and one of the most open gay communities on the continent as a holdover from the era of Gay Liberation as a major political force within New York City Politics meaning revolution is boiling under the surf-

sharing some bits and bobs from a wash (and sort of tex) centric one shot I'll hopefully finish someday just because:
The second the barrage of bullets being directed at them by the two chain-gunners stopped, Wash and York were on their feet. Dashing out from behind the concrete pillars they’d been using for cover they ran across the catwalk to enter the main complex.
“We’re all clear, Carolina. We’ll be dark in less than sixty.” York said into his comm, cutting the connection at her confirmation.
When they reached the hallway York turned towards Wash. “Hey, if you’re still going after C.T, a word of advice: Do not get in Tex’s way.” He warned. “Seriously, do NOT do it.”
Wash rolled his eyes.
“Thanks for the tip.”
+
Wash was used to cleaning up after others—if they couldn't do it right, then he would—but it wasn't like Carolina of all people to be so sloppy.
+
The moment he had seen the split second shimmer that rushed past him straight into the line of fire with Carolina hot on its heels, he had known. He had known—There was only ever one outcome with Texas involved, and he wasn’t dumb enough to believe for even a second that his silent prayers for her to fail just once were ever going to be answered.
But…
But—
A string in the back of his mind he hadn’t realized was taut snapped.
The casual admittance, the lack of care, the complete disregard for Connie’s life in her words forced him to a halt as a familiar feeling violently rushed to the surface.
He'd stuck his neck out for Texas, Connie had stuck her neck out for Texas, and this was how she repaid their kindness?
For a moment, he genuinely entertained the thought of killing her.
+
Wash let muscle memory guide him as he stripped off the many protective layers of titanium nanocomposite plating. He kept on the Kevlar bodysuit, choosing to forgo a shirt and just throw on his Freelancer-issued fatigues. He slammed his locker closed with his right foot, resting it on the vertical surface so he could lace up his boot, he then did the same with his left.
Standing up, he took a moment to scour over his mental map of the ship. He decided that he’d go down to R & D, cut through Armor Processing to take a detour up to the observation deck, and loop his way back to the locker room via the maintenance halls. That way, he wouldn’t have to pass through Recovery and, consequently, get dragged into a mildly uncomfortable conversation with Florida.
+
He turned a corner and abruptly stopped as he found himself standing in front of the leaderboard that was just outside the locker room. As he was bathed in its blue light, he recalled the words Connie had said to him all those months ago following Texas’ arrival.
"Don't forget to check your place on that list, Wash."
He didn’t even have to scan the list to find his name. His eyes darted to 5th place, and there it was, just like always.
It almost felt as though the digital display was mocking him in a way, taunting him by bringing all of his silent doubts and quiet insecurities to the forefront of his mind.
Is this how Connie had felt when it first started getting to her head?
Is this how all of the others felt?
He frowned at the thought, moving to sit on the oh-so conveniently placed bench.
+
The sound of armored footsteps broke him out of his thoughts and he reflexively looked up expecting to see Carolina—but instead of Carolina, he found himself staring at a face he had never seen before.
Said mystery face stared right back at him.
A quick glance at the armor color told him it was Texas, but his mind was short circuiting as he struggled to process the fact that Agent Texas actually had a face that wasn't her helmet.
Had he really never seen it before?
+
She had silky wheat blonde hair slicked back into one of those tight, headache inducing buns, fair skin with a light dusting of freckles across her nose, sharp cheekbones, a nicely defined jawline, and the bluest blue eyes he's ever seen.
She was an attractive woman in a girl next door kind of way. If he had to describe it, she had one of those faces where if he were to pass her on the street he wouldn't be stunned speechless and completely awestruck by her beauty, but he would find his gaze lingering on her a little longer than necessary.
All in all, it was a perfectly normal face, despite her good looks though, Wash couldn’t help the vague sense of unease he felt as he stared at her. There was just something that triggered an unsettling sense of wrongness in the back of his brain, like her features were trying too hard to come across as natural, and in doing so it only made them look more artificial.
+
“So, uh, how's the wrist?” He asked, trying to break the ice and shift the silence between them from awkward into something more casual. This technique admittedly didn't always work with this group, but he tried.
“...Fine.” Texas replied, unconsciously raising her arm from her side so she could thumb at her wrist with her other hand. “This arm isn't real, so there's no permanent damage.”
He hated himself for feeling disappointed about that.
+
“Con—C.T, knew the risks that her actions would bring.” He said, turning away from Texas in an effort to hide some of the bitterness that seeped from his voice. “You were just doing your job and following orders.”

Something that annoys me about ancestor veneration is the way that it is built up as a one on one conversation between you and the dead. It can be, but when I talk about it to others who are doing this there is often a conversation about speaking with them and it can seem quite alienating to someone like me, whose practice leans a different direction.
To the point where mine does not feel as genuine in those conversations. I was discussing my practice to another person and she said that I should try shrooms. I should try shrooms because when she's on shrooms she can hear her ancestors voices loud and clear.
And I don't want to do that.
"Well it's not dangerous, and you can microdose!"
I do not have a good track record with psychoactives. Like the tiniest sliver of a weed gummy activates a very bad place with my synesthesia. I don't wanna do that.
I wish there was more about the practical workings of ancestor veneration.
My dad is the family researcher- he's a former journalist with an ancestry.com account. He tells me about possibly real people that are in our tree.
I am the family archivist. My dad can spin a yarn but he knows very little about acid free environments, scanning resolutions, or how to put together a book layout. I am the keeper of family ephemera- letter from ww2, photos from when moms grandma lived in Connecticut, post cards from when grandpa was a door to door salesman after the war.
When I piece together a story from fading paper, I feel close to them. This is better, for me, than trying to speak to them.
I took an aloe plant from my grandma's house. She was a ww2 nurse. Taking care of this plant and making it propagate so I can give it to people at the plant exchange so that it can heal other people's cuts and burns seems like a good legacy.
