when we think “vintage femme” we think circle skirts, florals and pastels, hair bows, winged eyeliner and pink or red lipsticks, the neutral acrylics, the fluttery eyelashes, the kitten heels, modern day princess, baby girl, very 60s, very cute.

But what about vintage femme from other decades? What about Miss 80s, in her bleached mum jeans and press on acrylics, with her big, permed, backcombed hair and frosted eyeshadow and bedazzled jean jacket? What then.

I didn't get a chance to take pictures until I got home and I was all sweaty and rumpled but my costume for the ren faire this weekend came out so cute! I just barely got everything finished in time and I didn't get to try it all on until I was in the parking lot of the faire but I was so lucky and everything fit perfectly! Everything was designed and made by me with fabrics and trims I already had laying around 🌿🦄🌸✨
