Yeonjun was a mess. Everyone knew. The members were extra cautious when they saw him, poking their heads into his room just to catch him in tears again. The managers caught wind of it pretty soon after it happened.

"We just wanted to touch base with you, you've been practicing more and doing well in all your lessons," and he wishes they would just leave it at that, "but, we noticed that you've been very distracted," and as they gesture to his entire demeanor, "you haven't been taking good care of yourself."

"Yea," Yeonjun refocuses his eyes towards the window, "I know, but the dance teacher told me my moves have been improving."

"Yes yes, we wholeheartedly agree," No they don't, "But we were just worried about how you will be when you guys make your comeback in a month."

"And what do you want me to do about it."

"Just take care of yourself a little better, we already talked to your members about it so hopefully they can help." They all nodded to each other as if reassuring themselves they were doing something right, "You wouldn't want to worry MOAs would you."

Yeonjun sighed, this was the worst conversation he has had to sit through, "Okay. No problem, I'll definitely do that."

"Thanks, we just want you to cooperate with us, that's all."

renjun was helping his lover to lay the blanket they brought for their picnic date. it’s exactly 5 pm when they arrived at the park, settling beneath the large tree. 

yn arranges the food they prepared as renjun lay the art materials he brought with him. after arranging, they settle themselves beside each other. taking turns to feed each other when renjun suddenly thought of something.

“let’s draw together!”

surprised by his outburst, yn wiped their lips with a tissue, “I don’t have magic hands like you, junnie”

Having his three month pregnant wife, Nicole, alone lost in the middle of an amusement park was not how Hyunsik thought he’d deal with and yet here he was on the search for her. As the sunlight vanished and darkness settled over the area, Hyunsik’s adrenaline accelerated as he ran about dodging the crowds as he frantically sought for her. He cursed himself for handing Nicole his phone as hers was in a repair shop because he couldn’t even call for her.

Hyunsik wasn’t the only one who was panicked. Nicole had a fear with crowds, but she did fine when Hyunsik was around. She was the one who wanted to go to the amusement park just to see if she could handle the crowdedness as she knew once their child was born they would take them there. Nicole’s breath hallowed as she stood as far away from the crowds as she could almost pressed against a booth. Cold sweat gathered at her brow as she tried to catch sight of Hyunsik.

Her lucky only grew worse when a man and his friend drunkenly stumbled over to her, “Hey sexy mama, what are you doing over here?” He reached out to touch her and she sidestepped him.

“I’m just looking for my husband. We separated” she stuttered as she squeezed Hyunsik’s phone in her hand.

He nudged his friend who wore the same drunken smile, “Her husband she says” he laughed. “We can help you. Maybe show you a good time before we find him.” She shook her head violently as she felt the air around her close in on her. “Aw don’t be like that. We’ll take good care of–”

As the guy reached out, a hand shot out and took him by the wrist. “When a woman says no, you should learn to take that as your queue to leave.” Hyunsik growled as he threw the man’s arm back to himself. Nicole looked up at Hyunsik and relief flooded her. Hyunsik pulled her to his chest as he glared at the men, “Get lost.” The two men scattered and Hyunsik’s thumb rubbed Nicole’s side. “You okay, love?” She nodded as she hugged him tightly. Hyunsik said nothing as he held her close to him. “You wanna get out of here?”

“Yea…” she pulled away from him, “I really want pizza.”

Hyunsik chuckled as he held out his hand for her to take. Nicole grabbed his hand and their fingers clasped against each other. “Your wish is my command” he kissed her wedding ring on her finger before they headed out the amusement park.

Peniel

Jurnie and Peniel were in their hometown visiting their family for the holidays. They were announcing their engagement as well as spending Christmas home in the US. When they arrived, Jurnie was on high alert. She never liked how large Chicago was and the idea of getting lost was a permanent fear she had.

One day, as their parents worked, Peniel and Jurnie decided to walk about the streets and explore some shops. Their hands grasped one another with their bulky snow gear on them as the snow had yet to let up. It was freezing and Peniel had one destination on his mind. Starbucks. He thought a hot drink would do them both some good. So, he focused his sights on locating one.

However, Jurnie’s attention was pulled to some stationary in the window of a shop. She stopped and admired the stationary not seeing or feeling Peniel’s hand slip from hers. “Hey, babe, look at these! They’re… Peniel?” She looked to see her fiance gone and she was alone in a crowd that pushed passed her without a care that she was there. She pulled out her phone and tried to press buttons, but her gloves blocked her from doing so.

“Jurnie?” She looked up at the voice and saw the last guy she’d want. She internally groaned as her ex grinned and practically skipped to her side. “It’s been so long!” He reached out and hugged her. “What are you doing in Chicago? I thought you were living in North Korea.”

She let out an awkward cough, “South Korea…” she corrected. “I’m only here for Christmas and New Years. My fiancé is somewhere… we kind of separated.”

Her ex scowled, “Fiance? Really?” He was quiet for a moment, “Your not just saying that to make me jealous?”

Jurnie scoffed as she stepped back from him, “As if. I have no reason to make you jealous.” She headed into the stationary store and took off her gloves. She shivered as the warm heat hit her cold body. With her phone in hand she sent Peniel a text of her location. An arm wrapped around her shoulders and when she realized it was her ex, she shoved it off. “Seriously? Go away.”

“Junnie” she cringed at the nickname he gave her back in middle school. “Honestly, while your home made we should try to reconnect. You know I really love you…” There was a laugh behind the two and they turned to see Peniel. Her ex grinned, “Peniel, my man, what’s up?” He reached out to greet Peniel.

“Nothing, man” he greeted him with a fist bump. “Lost my fiancée out here on the streets.”

“No really? You can’t be too careful” he ex hummed. “Oh, look who I ran into. Jurnie McFarland. ‘member her?”

Peniel gave a small smile, “Yea, course I do. She’s my fiancée.” Her ex’s grin faltered as Jurnie moved past him and went to Peniel’s side. “We haven’t set a date for the wedding, but we can send you an invite if you like.”

“Naw man” her ex waved his hand. “Congrats to you both. I gotta go pick up my kids’ Christmas gifts or my wife will kill me.” He ran out of the store.

Jurnie’s head tilted, “So he has a wife and kids and he’s out here playin?”

Peniel laughed as he took off his gloves and took her hand in his, “He hasn’t changed since high school. Anyway” he turned his attention to her. “Why’d you let go of my hand?”

“I was trying to show you some cute stationary, but you kept walking.”

Peniel hummed, “Well show me now. I need to warm up a bit.” Jurnie nodded and lead him to the window with the display. Peniel couldn’t help but smile at his fiancée’s childlike expression as she cooed at the pens, pencils, and journals.
