Lydia telling Jackson “let me do this for you.”
A Light In The Dark (Not The Moon)
for @jacksonwhittemoreweek‘s day 4 prompt of werewolf
| Jackson & Lydia | Gen | 1k | Werewolf!Jackson | Full Moon | Post-Kanima Jackson | Guilt | Lydia is Jackson’s Anchor |
(also on AO3)
--
Jackson hated this. It was late November and the train car wasn’t exactly well insulated, but Jackson had long since stripped off his jacket and shirt and tossed them aside. His blood felt like it was boiling, his eyes flickering out of control, claws digging into his thighs because he couldn’t bring them back in. The taste of blood lingered in his mouth, though his tongue had long since healed from when he’d split it open on the fangs crowding his mouth.
Outside, the full moon called to him. Bright and insistent, it pulled at him like a tether fixed behind his sternum, and it was all he could do not to beat down the walls and run until he found something to chase, to hunt, to rip into. His claws itched for blood and he was scared of how hard it was to remember that he didn’t actually want that.
He’d had blood on his hands before. Hot and sticky, dripping down his scaly arms as Matt’s voice crooned in his mind that they deserved it.
Jackson sunk his claws deeper into his own thighs, trying to sate the bloodlust. The wet warmth made his stomach lurch—half disgust, half ecstasy—but at least it was his and no one else’s. It couldn’t be anyone else’s, not again.
A snarl forced its way out of his mouth, ripping through the silence of the empty car like a chainsaw. The walls were flimsy. They couldn’t keep him in if he really wanted out. One punch and they would crumple like tissue paper. It would be so easy, and then there would be fresh air, scents on the breeze, the soothing coolness of the moon on his skin. Just one punch and he would be free to—
Jackson bit down on his own forearm, sharp teeth sinking in deep. Pain keeps us human, that was what Derek had said on the last full moon. Granted, he had been stepping on Jackson’s broken leg at the time, pinning him to the ground as he’d snapped and snarled and thrashed. But he hadn’t been wrong. It wasn’t enough to clear the fog from his mind entirely, but it was something. It kept him in the car, away from anyone he could hurt, and that was all that mattered.
When he felt that he safely could, Jackson unlatched his fangs from their bite and spat a mouthful of blood onto the dusty floor. The scent of it was almost enough to overwhelm him again.
His shoddy attempts at deep breathing were interrupted by a knock on the metal siding of the car, startlingly loud. A whiff of light floral perfume found its way to Jackson’s nose and he whined before he could stop himself.
It took everything he had in him to abandon the tight corner he’d wedged himself into at the back of the car and stagger his way to the door, and even more to yank it open and not lose himself to the temptation of freedom.
He had to look a mess, shirtless and panting and dripping blood, but Lydia didn’t look shocked. She was as composed as ever, if a little less made up than usual, hair messily bunned instead of curled and sensible sneakers on her feet instead of heels. She didn’t flinch when Jackson bared his bloody teeth at her.
“I told Derek not to call you.”
“Don’t be stupid, Jackson,” she said. “You need an anchor. I’m your anchor.”
Jackson snarled, gripping the door frame so tightly that the metal gave way with a screech. “No, you’re not. We’re not even together anymore.”
Lydia didn’t flinch at that either, though her throat worked around a hard swallow. “That doesn’t matter. Jackson—”
“You need to go.” Jackson forced his fingers to unclench, pieces of rusted metal falling away to clatter on the concrete at Lydia’s feet. Already, he ached for something else to break. “It isn’t safe for you here.”
Lydia eyed him carefully for a moment, her heart beating fast in her chest and a sharp twist in her scent. Then she shook her head. “You won’t hurt me.”
Jackson laughed through the blood in his mouth. The sound scraped his throat raw. “I’ve already hurt you!”
She did flinch this time. A second later, her head was held even higher, her jaw set stubbornly and a challenge in her eyes. “I don’t care.”
A growl clogged Jackson’s throat, chest heaving with the pressure of it. “How can you not care?”
“Because I care about you.”
“You shouldn’t.”
Immediately, Jackson wanted to take it back. He hadn’t meant to say it at all, but his self-control wasn’t exactly at its peak, and now Lydia’s face was gentling in that way that looked all too much like pity, and that burned almost as much as the moon’s pull.
Even with that look, though, her voice was crisp and frank as she raised an imperious eyebrow and said, “Too bad.”
Jackson growled again. Blood dripped down his fingers, claws sunk deep into his palms to keep from— fuck, he didn’t know what he wanted to do. The moon was right there, beating down just beyond his reach, promising power and freedom and wild abandon, but there was Lydia too. Bright and brilliant, pale skin soft as rose petals, and he ached to touch, to let his fingers trace familiar pathways over her skin even though he had no right. Not anymore. Not now that he knew what those fingers were capable of. How easily he could rip through that delicate skin and snuff out that bright light.
Lydia knew all that too. She knew everything that he had done, every drop of blood his hands had spilled. She knew, so why was she still here? She should be running for the hills, not stepping closer. Definitely not reaching out to lay her hand on his bloody arm.
He flinched back, but she didn’t let him go. “Lydia—”
“Jackson.”
The paleness of her hand shone against the dark red smear beneath her fingers, but the skin beneath was smooth and unbroken now, the only remnant of it the coppery tang on Jackson’s tongue. Even if he hadn’t been a werewolf, it wouldn’t have been hard to break her grip, but the steel in her eyes was enough to pin him in place.
“Let me do this for you.”
The moon burned above them, but Lydia’s touch was cool and unbearably soothing. Jackson’s fist unclenched, his claws nowhere to be seen. He was shaking.
His voice shook too, no matter how hard he fought to keep it steady. “I don’t deserve it.”
Lydia’s grip tightened, a quick press of fingernails into the soft flesh of his inner wrist, but she didn’t release him. She didn’t even argue. Instead, she simply said, “I know,” with a sad half-smile on her pink lips. “But you will. Won’t you?”
With one more shaky breath, Jackson stepped aside and let her in.

Corrosion-resistant pump installation
Corrosion-resistant pumps can be divided into horizontal and vertical according to the installation method. Horizontal corrosion-resistant pump WX type horizontal corrosion-resistant pump is different from traditional centrifugal pumps. It has the characteristics of simple structure, reliability and convenient maintenance. The gap between the pump impeller and the pump casing is large, and the solids can be discharged without any obstruction, and there is no blockage at all. It is suitable for conveying solid-liquid mixed liquid, suspended solid horizontal corrosion-resistant pump and fibrous fabric medium. The diameter of the solid particles is not more than 60% of the diameter of the discharge port, and the fiber length is not more than five times the diameter of the discharge port.
1. Preparation before installation
1) Check the water pump and motor to confirm that there is no damage during transportation and loading and unloading.
2) Prepare tools and lifting machinery, and check the foundation of the machine according to the diagram.
Tumblr media
2. Installation sequence
1) When the whole set of water pump arrives on site, the motor has been installed. When leveling the base, it is not necessary to remove the pump and motor.
2) Put the base on the foundation and prepare to fill it with concrete after leveling.
3) Check the levelness of the base with the level of the pump's discharge outlet. After leveling, install the anchor bolts and pour the anchor bolts with concrete.
4) Put the steel ruler on the coupling (up, down, front and back measurement), and check whether the axis lines of the pump and the motor coincide.
5) After the concrete for fixing the anchor bolts is completely dry, tighten the nuts of the anchor bolts, and finally check the levelness of the whole unit. If there is a slight unevenness, use a wedge iron to level it.
6) Install suction and outlet pipes. When the pipes are combined with the pump, care should be taken not to increase the weight and pressure of the pipes on the pump to avoid deformation of the pump.
7) Clean up the environment and maintain hygiene.

The operation instructions of rotary drum granulator for fertilizer granulation equipment
The working principle of rotary drum granulator is: the belt and pulley are driven by electricity, the driving shaft is driven by reducer, the split gear installed on the driving shaft is matched with the large gear ring fixed on the body to realize the opposite operation. The material enters the cylinder from the feeding end. Under the special arrangement inside the cylinder, it is made into particles and then flows out through the discharge port. Continuous feeding and continuous twisting granulator can realize batch production.
Tumblr media
After the rotary drum granulator arrives at the plant, it is installed in coordination with the process flow. The elevation and horizontal position are pointed out, and the installation is inclined. Generally, the inclination is 2-5 degrees (which can be adjusted by the user). The bracket and transmission frame of the granulator have anchor holes, which can be installed on the concrete, 1> The total thickness of the wedge-shaped pad between the base and the foundation of the machine shall not be greater than 30-35mm; 2> Adjust the height of each base with Qi shaped base plate to make each base incline 5 degrees; 3>. each base is adjusted properly, then the cylinder is placed on the bracket, and the supporting wheel is finally adjusted. 4> . install the drive part of granulator; 5> After confirming that the supporting wheel, transmission device and cylinder are properly adjusted, start pouring cement. After 8-10 days of cement solidification, start no-load test run.

Tie Wire Anchors And Different Varieties Of Load In Anchoring
Tumblr media
Tie wire anchors are generally used in numerous applications, which need light-duty anchors to fix into a solid masonry and concrete. With a dual-embossed, tri-segmented clip, a tie wire anchor is a perfect solution for installation pf acoustic ceiling grid. It can simply be set using a claw of hammers. You will find tie wire anchors online that will suit your need. Here is what you want to know about tie wire anchors:
What do tie wire anchors feature?
·         A tri-segmented clip that works to adjust according to hole irregularities
·         Wedge style anchors are used in standard weight concrete
·         Dual embossments available on ever clip segment allow the clips to weaken into the concrete. Enhancing follow-up enhancement
·         It has extreme shear ability because the diameter of the anchor body is equal to the diameter of the hole present in it
What are the different load varieties in concrete anchoring?
One the basis of the application and other factors, determining the right anchor for your concrete building could be tricky. Weight is not the only thing to consider, it is about directional forces too, which an anchor requires to transfer to prevent failure.
Dead load: It is permanent load like the entire weight of your building.
Wind load: It is created from the weight of the wind.
Shear load: This force produces a descending failure on the material laterally to a plane, which is parallel to the direction of a force. For example, if you cut a paper, it will fail in shear.
Dynamic load: This load is something that does not move. For instance, driving your care during an earthquake or on a bridge.
Ultimate load: it is absolute maximum force, which a structure can easily bear without having any failure. It can happen when something extreme happens.
Tension load: This load is created while pulling a load.
Here are some of the major load types that can be protected with concrete anchoring hopefully, you have found this article helpful.

Majorca
13 May 2017 (Posted 24 May)
The trip over from Ibiza was mostly brilliant; an average speed of 6 knots over 9 hours.  The “fair wind and following seas” of dreams and good wishes, accompanied by several lots of porpoises. The last 3 hours were a bit rolly, as the sustained 20+ knot wind built the waves up over the afternoon, and we reefed down a couple of times, to a half genoa and mizzen only, still doing 6 knots. Arriving in a little bay west of Palma at 11.30pm by moonlight, we found ‘Albatross’ and ‘Arctic Fern’ already anchored. We dropped our anchor between them, and settled in for a slightly rolly night, although the movement was much less than it had been at sea.
In the morning, we realised that of the nine boats anchored, we knew 4 of them, including ‘Gwendolyne’, the concrete-hulled gaff-rigged boat we met in the Rias.
The serenity was soon broken, with a constant stream of motor boats of all sizes arriving from nearby Palma, with varying degrees of competence. One motored over our trip line, cutting off the float. Fortunately, Howard and Caroline were watching and recovered it for us. The offending boat reluctantly donated 20 euros for a new line.  Another one spent 20 mins drifting through the anchorage trying to get his anchor down, with the spike of it wedged very firmly into his gel coat where he had obviously pulled it up last time without checking it, and docked it into the ‘keep’ upside down - ouch. Another one arrived, dropped their anchor and skipped off to the restaurant, leaving their boat gently dragging its anchor through the other anchored boats, causing one £££arge one some major problems recovering their anchor around it to move out of its way. The offending crew rocked up later, unperturbed, well fed; reset their anchor and sunbathed the afternoon away.
Ashore, there are some huge caves, allegedly carved out first by the Phoenicians. Or maybe by miners in the 14th century. There is, in typical Spanish fashion, no information anywhere on the why, the when or the how.  There is a huge complex clearly visible (and freely visitable) from the bay side, with some elaborate carvings inside, and some more portal-shapes (after which the bay Cala Portals takes its name) in the cliffs facing the sea – one providing shelter to some feral goats.
We have spent the last few weeks touring Ibiza; with David for a few days, then with Rachel and Nathan. We met up with Cousin Nigel, who lives - predictably - near the hippy market, in his aged airstream camper van.
Rachel’s trip was supposed to include a trip to trendy Formentera, but the winds were wrong for it, so we went the other way, and anchored in beautiful Portinax. Unfortunately, the wind swung around overnight, leaving us rolling badly, so we upped-sticks at 2.30 am and motorsailed in the dark to Santa Eulalia, arriving there at about 6am. We returned to San Antonio via Es Palmador and Vedra, accompanied by dolphins for some of the way. Not enough to compensate Rachel for the nocturnal move from Portinax, though - so much for showing Rachel the glamorous up-side of sailing after her “near-death” experience in Scotland.
The highlights of Ibiza; taking David to San Miguel, and watching him tear around the bay fighting for control of the oppy, and later a couple of days at Benirras, a beautiful little cove in the north of the Island, which we ‘shared’ with Albatross, Arctic Fern, and Spindrift. On Sundays, the local hippies congregate and ‘drum in the sunset’, with various drums and other percussion jazzing away for hours. In summer, they apparently continue until close to dawn, but for us, when the cool of the evening fell at about 11pm, they drifted away and it fell silent. In the morning, we walked to the neighbouring bay, San Miguel, and looked down on the anchorage we had taken David to.
The four boats then had a wonderful barbecue together on the beach the following night, making use of a rough timber balcony on a fisherman’s hut, watching the sun set over the sea, behind the rock guarding the bay.
The swimming on the first day was marred by ‘Medusa!!’ (jellyfish), which stung my arms and legs in several places before I was rescued by Mike in the dinghy. The next day, they had all gone, and it was lovely; the visibility fantastic, the bottom clear as a bell 5m away - underwater photo of a cuttlefish below! The jellyfish in question are clearly ‘poisonous’, but not drastically so, the sting about as painful as a stinging nettle, the sting-pain fading more quickly, although the weals have now come up again, and are itchy. Annoying, though relatively trivial.
Mallorca, so far (two days!) has been beautiful, but manically busy with other boatws, and therefore not particularly restful. I hope that as things settle down, we can find smaller anchorages that are out of day-range of the motor-boat crowd.  The ‘personal space’ around a sailing boat is quite significant – at least one clear boat length in every direction. The motorboaters take a different view, as they are generally stopping for a few hours at most, and anything less than actual physical contact is apparently fine with them. They are, individually, quite cheerful; stereotyping only very slightly: happy-go-lucky, fun types, with tattoos and boob jobs. Collectively, it is difficult to consider them less than a scourge, bringing with them noise, the smell of burning hydrocarbons, and constant jostling and movement.
A second day in the same place has been, if anything, worse – motorboats squeezing into ridiculous spaces, one or other of them constantly racing their tenders around the anchorage dodging swimmers.
At the end of today, it fell quiet as the last motorboat, towing the last ‘personal watercraft’ (jetski to you and me) hustled away accompanied by their loud stereo system and appalling choice of music, leaving us all bouncing in its huge wake. It was into the newfound tranquillity that Mike announced ‘we need to run the generator’. Let’s just say that I was very deeply unimpressed by this - that the peace of the evening, with the setting sun glowing on the portals of the Phoenician cave, the water sparkling - is being ruined by the din of our bloody buggering generator.  Karma, perhaps. I must be nicer to those poor motorboaters.
Now nearer Palma, to make contact with The Man Who Fixes Watermakers. Looks like we might be able to get a working watermaker for about 1000 euro. Ouch, but less than the 4500 for a new one…
Struggling to get usable internet – means taking the laptop ashore and buying coffee…
Now in Cala Pi, a tiny little rocky inlet, with a beach at the end, blue-green water – a lovely sail over here from Cala Islettas, where we spent the last few days with Arctic Fern and Albatross. Bus trip to Palma yesterday – nice enough town, usual tourist stuff, plus lots of higher-end clothing shops for the motorboat crowd. One of the marinas here is allegedly the ‘most expensive in the med’. Full of huge motorboats; a better visual symbol for the banking crisis ‘winners and losers’ would be hard to find.
 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Moved on again; went back to Cala Isletas to meet up with Restless Spirits (Trina and Phil) the couple we first met in Den Helder, then again in Brighton.  They are having a short sprint round the med, courtesy of the Schengen agreement, which limits them to 90 days in the whole Schengen area, in any 180 day period. For the rest of the year, they are forced out of the area to spend their money somewhere else. This restriction apparently does not apply to New Zealanders; there is some special arrangement for them as recompense for the Rainbow Warrior episode, when people were murdered by the French secret service on the Greenpeace boat, then located in NZ waters.
We have now moved to Santa Ponsa, a large and pretty bay at the southern end of the island; shopping, washing, change the bed, a swim, catching up with all the others moored here that we know – two boats at the moment, but another 6 expected, meeting up for Lisa’s birthday on Thursday.

The Diagonal Bracing Function when Lifting Ringlock Scaffolding
Things must be taken into account:
The straps generally fit in a bay from the bottom to the top without any interruption. This reinforcement pattern is repeated every fifth section. Alternatively, the keys can start in the lower outer bay. And it can also continue as a straight line until it reaches the outer end of the Ringlock scaffolding. Then, the bracing is repeated in this way from the next previous lift until it reaches the top of the Ringlock Scaffolding. For very long scaffolding pipes, it is preferable to start shoring at both ends and work towards the center of the facade.
1. Offer the wedge frame at the other end of the clamp to the spindle of the Ringlock scaffolding standard on the next overhead lift. Sliding the wedge frame on the Spigot on the Base Collar and insert the Clamp Wedge to attach the clamp. Always work from a fixed node to a mobile top node.
 2. The diagonal / frontal bracing should be fixed at least in each fifth bay along the Ringlock scaffolding and from the bottom to the top of the Ringlock scaffolding, or as required by the design.
3. Diagonal bracing helps to harden the Ringlock scaffold and ensures that it is square, keeping the Ringlock scaffolding standards aligned vertically.
Work at heights
Work at height is inevitable in most formwork activities, and special safeguards will be implemented to avoid accidents when falling from height. All criteria must be verified and all requirements met as in the Code of Practice for Working with Height Safety [Ref. 8].
The fall prevention plan must be carried out by the occupant of the workplace.
Construction of safe formwork related to design
Safety aspects should be considered and controls should be implemented at each stage of the life cycle of the formwork structure, including planning and inspection, and during construction. Some common measures for good construction practice to ensure a safe formwork design, in addition to those already mentioned, are the following:
- Provide adequate shoring or re-shoring
- Avoid using an accessory directly on top of another accessory
- Ensure that suitable temporary reinforcements are placed while the formwork is configured
- Ensure that the anchoring of the system formwork can be determined visually
- Ensure adequate provision of lateral pressure on the forms
- Control the lateral pressure in the forms by means of the vertical speed of placement by means of settlement, type of vibration, additives, etc.
- Regulate the horizontal sequence and the speed of concrete placement to avoid unbalanced loads in the formwork structure
- Control any load that may cause vibration and shock
- Prevent premature removal of media
All of our premium scaffold components manufactured by Technocraft Industries are hot-dip galvanized and manufactured from the highest quality steel resulting in optimum durability and a faultless safety rating. Each product is rigorously tested to ensure all OSHA standards are met or exceeded.

Silver linings to an extended haul out
Tumblr media
Early morning shadows stretch across the gravel lot of Cabrales Boatyards hardstand where Perro Negro (black dog) holds court. Mairen and Siobhan get the first of today’s Spanish vocabulary from the night guard as we’ve affectionately come to call maestro (teacher) for his enthusiastic lessons before he heads off duty for the day.
Tumblr media
Boats in many parts of the northern hemisphere haul out for the season at this time of year; boats on the hard here in Puerto Peñasco are waking up from a hurricane season respite. Tucked onto jackstands for a long winter nap or summer away, maintenance or repairs can be worked into the months that stretch out ahead. But when active cruisers haul their boats, the situation is entirely different. We’re either cooped up in temporary dwelling spending cruising coin at an alarming rate, or trying to manage life on stilts with limited use of normal onboard utilities like, you know, toilets. The moment a cruiser’s boat is out of the water, the clock starts to tick: how quickly can we complete the projects that stand between us and the freedom of a blue horizon? Time is our enemy.
We’ve hauled Totem on three previous occasions since we started cruising: twice in Thailand (2013 and 2014), and once in Grenada (2017). Each experience felt like a race to the finish; hot, sweaty, dirty days of hard labor to minimize the days on land. On one occasion we left with significant projects left largely incomplete, facing the disappointing reality that a yard would only continue the pattern of extending our timeline.
This time it’s different.
We were absent during Totem’s extended hardstand stay this summer. From afar we dreamed about getting back to cruising, exploring corners of the beautiful Sea of Cortez. Hectic weeks before our return hampered advance planning, slowed ordering parts and supplies. It’s holding up the primary job ahead to put a new bottom on Totem.
Silver lining to delay in the larger effort is the gift of time to address projects that have shimmied their way up in the world of boatkeeping priorities, but in many cases could be pushed off. At a measured pace, we can remove a few bandaids that were applied over time, tackle some deferred maintenance, and correct less-than-ideal installations.

Jamie looks through a loupe at the chainplate
Tumblr media
Rather have nooks and crannies in a muffin than a chainplate!
Chainplate inspections bubbled up first. Not a normal visual, but actually removing them entirely to inspect both sides as well as the point at which they intersect the deck. We replaced every chainplate except the stem fitting in 2008. Original (1982) plates had a rough finish where they were backed to a bulkhead or fiberglass knee, less easily inspected, and more subject to corrosion. The replacements are polished to a mirror finish which is highly resistant to corrosion. Great! But to get that shiny smooth metal well sealed is difficult, especially on a boat that flexes.
Tumblr media
This surface rust cleaned up and chainplate passed inspection under magnification
Tumblr media
Much cleaner now!
Somewhere around the five-year mark, a few began to weep, and that’s continued despite bandaid efforts along the way. So out they go for complete inspection and peace of mind. We started with those most suspect there are early signs of the crevice corrosion to which stainless is susceptible. It’s VERY minor at this point. Repeat: it’s very minor! Carefully cleaned and replaced, they just need monitoring. This time, they are through-deck portion is re-bedded with butyl tape to, hopefully, further prevent weeping or leaks for a longer time. The bolts all looked good, but three nuts failed inspection and were replaced.
Tumblr media
Wedging butyl tape around the chainplate deck fitting
Tumblr media
Same nut with magnification on the right. YIKES! Yup that’s been replaced
Another project without burning urgency but “this could be better” was the rudder indicator for our autopilot. Two days before we left Puget Sound in 2008, Jamie did a last-minute autopilot install (surprise!). It wasn’t the cleanest installation, coming at a slightly hectic time. The rudder indicator was placed smack in the middle of the lazarette, and awkwardly mounted and subject to being knocked if something fell over in the space. Jamie built a cover to protect it from damage but the location bugged him. OK, so it has since done a circumnavigation; fixing it is possibly a little pedantic. But the placement could be improved, and now it is: Jamie made a new bracket and installed it in a better location. A more functional lazarette space and saver placement out of the way are the result.
Totem’s steering system is fine, but also getting a full review. In lumpy seas off Colombia last in January the steering chain broke. Jamie’s fix with Dyneema put in has worked well since, but a closer inspection of the whole system has been in the back of his mind. Good thing he took it apart yesterday! When the steering cable is in place and under tension, the sheaves appeared fine. But once the entire steering system was disconnected, the sheaves showed a bit of a wobble – too much wobble. Pulling the sheaves, Jamie then noticed that both the bronze bushings and the stainless steel pins were worn enough wear to warrant replacement. Not unreasonable after 36 years and a lot of miles.
A few more days means the space for a break. If this was a crunch, the beautiful opportunity to experience Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, would have passed by unmarked. Instead, there was time to wander through the municipal primer cemetario on the day families gather to clean the graves of loved ones while refreshing their paint or decoration. Gathered around family plots, sitting on the marble or concrete or ceramic-tiled slap that covers a mother or cousin or uncle… playing music, eating, drinking, while children tussle and play soccer in sand thoroughfares dividing the cemetery or lay hide and seek behind statues of the Virgin Mary. A more intensive haul out wouldn’t have allowed a night off to wander a competition for altars created to remember the dead, and then land in the throngs of a crowd in a fashion show for Calavera Catrinas, “dapper skeletons,” complete with catwalk.

More yard projects are planned: new anchor rollers, new prop shaft, new cutlass bearing, new engine mounts, new dripless seal. Unnatural as it is to be out of water, this work makes us better prepared. We’ll return to a familiar environment soon enough, the dissonance of life on the hard disappearing, stronger for this patience and happier for this pace.

Concrete Anchors Industry In Europe To Proliferate –Ken Research
Concrete Anchors basically refer to the heavy-duty anchors that are used for fixing objects to sandstone surfaces and these anchors usually derive their holding standards from the concrete.
The industry research report titled, “Europe Concrete Anchors Industry Situation and Prospects Research report” is a professional and in-depth study of the recent position of the Concrete anchors industry in Europe. It offers a comprehensive analysis that includes integrity of logic along with detailed description of contents and thus promises to meet the readers’ perspectives. Majorly, the report covers a basic overview of this industry including specific definitions, classifications, applications and industry chain structure. Also, an effective market analysis for the international market including development history, competitive landscape analysis, and major regions' development status forms a significant part of the report. Besides that, all the relevant development policies and plans along with the associated manufacturing processes and cost structures are well investigated throughout the report.
The concrete anchors industry is mainly split by (a) product types, with production, revenue, price, and market share and growth rate of each type, further segmented into: Wedge Anchors/Fasteners, Sleeve Anchors/Fasteners, Stud Anchors/Fasteners, and Self-drilling Anchors/Fasteners; and (b) by applications, aiming at consumption, market share and growth rate of Concrete Anchors in each application that involve: Cracked Concrete, Non-Cracked Concrete and Seismic.
This industry in Europe majorly caters to the countries including Germany, Russia, UK, France, Italy and some other regions wherein the focus remains on the top manufacturers prevailing in the market on the basis of factors like- production, price, revenue and market share for each manufacturer and these key industry players include: Hilti, Powers Fasteners, Fastenal, ITW, DEWALT, Hua Wei, Hohmann & Barnard, Inc, Ramset, Powers Fasteners, Concrete Fasteners, Inc, Tanner Fasteners & Industrial, L.H. Dottie, Cooper Industries, KAMAX, Acument Global Technologies, Dokka Fasteners, Arconic (Alcoa), Gem-Year, Infasco and Marmon.
Over the years, the ongoing innovations in engineering sector have been noted to pioneer a horde of advanced anchor options available globally, which are lately registering a decent success via delivery of maximum productivity, performance and reliability in various types of concrete anchoring applications.
It has been observed that the European industry has long been characterized by resilient market competition, which is further expected to grow much higher owing to the surges in technological innovation and increasing number of mergers and acquisitions in the industry. Consequently, it has been witnessed that many local and regional vendors are currently offering a variety of specific application products and are competing healthily with the existing prominent market players on the basis of recent developments; progressive strategies to be adopted for ensuring a holistic growth; sustainability; and financial overview.
The industry when considered in accordance with relevant linkages between demand, investment, trade and productivity; is projected to relish a robust increment in productivity along with escalating demands. “New product developments” in Europe have been regarded as the most crucial factor which has lately resulted in a booming number of companies which prefer using concrete screw anchors as an alternative to the heavy-duty loads. This trend has solved many problems including- lack of training while installing wedge anchors; requirement of additional tools for operations; and consistent failures linked with installation of traditional anchors all at once. As a result, the market demand for concrete anchors has experienced a hike in the recent past and is further anticipated to continue ameliorating year after year in Europe.
Thus, the global concrete anchors market is also envisioned to evolve at strong compounded annual growth rates as the years roll by since Europe reckons itself to be one of the top contributors to the overall global progress. Even, the recent trends and short run forecasts well depict that applications of such anchors have heightened across the globe. Furthermore, the present scenario is all set to get much better by the end of 2025; wherein both the European as well as the global industry will definitely prosper by recording tremendous results in terms of revenues and cumulative profits; ultimately bolstering holistic economic progress.
