I love comphet Jimmy so so much, his life series—and other series—characters have always been told who he is and who he is supposed to be by his servermates and I love using that as fuel for his sexuality identity crisis.

To me, he is way too much of a “girls girl” to be attracted to women, those are his besties. (Also mlm and wlw solidarity between Jimmy and Katherine is way too good. Heh “solidarity.”) I definitely believe he could have been stuck identifying as bi at some point because he was so lost about who he is or what his identity as an individual is. He was comphet because that’s what was “normal” and he clung to that label because of it. It was the only “normalcy” and constant in his life.

I think Jimmy is someone who takes identity very seriously, whether it’s through sexual and gender orientation or his fundamentals as a human being & how he behaves. I think he pays more mind to labels and how he identifies because he has a set way he wants to express himself. I don’t know if that could be because of past relationships, I definitely feel a part of him has to/wants to be aware of how he identifies as some kind of reassurance that he is somebody he wants to be. I believe him being attached to/paying more mind to labels is a form of self-validation.

Which of course is where Tango comes in and throws a wrench into Jimmy’s ideas of himself. Tango was the first real relationship and team where he was allowed to be himself and freely express himself. I think Tango being as nonchalant and “yeah that’s just how it is” about his identity helped Jimmy relax around his. (If that makes sense.)

The only thing I am strongly “NO” on is when people write Scott as someone who pretty much forces labels onto Jimmy and their relationship. As much as I don’t like fh and believe they were a toxic & abusive relationship, there are some lines I don’t cross, especially when it comes to portraying a gay man’s character as almost homophobic towards other queer identities and “baby gays.” (Cause yes Jimmy is very much a baby gay to me. I also just find that term really funny.)

oh my goodness is this.... an excuse to talk about trans wilson...? oh my goodness ok let me get my affairs in order, no pun intended. I dont know what you want specifically, but a lot of these are just thoughts about how the idea of wilson being trans ties into canon

I think being trans is where a lot of wilson's comphet comes from. not only will being with a woman make him look "normal," but also like a man, and by extension, he will be viewed as a "normal man"

he absolutely would have done the legit porn part of feral pleasures if he had had the equipment at the time. in fact, there are a lot of things he would have done if he were a cis man. but, c'est la vie

he's stealth, but told cuddy because they're besties and wilson felt like he could actually trust her, despite having known house for longer. house found out accidentally, but doesn't tell anyone because (his words) "I'm not a monster, jimmy"

he went off T in his 30s because he thought it would dampen his sex drive and save his marriage (it only worked for a little while). he didn't get back on T until around 2005, which is why he looks so twinkish and young in the first season.

taub is the only other person who knows because wilson approached him about facial masculinization surgery. he opted not to get it because the way taub said "no offense, but why do you need that?" made him feel like it probably wasn't necessary

he shaves his face for professionalism reasons, but he's actually a very hairy man. being hairy is important to him, mostly because its another arbitrary thing that makes him a "normal man," but also because he knows that people (women and house) find it attractive.

his family is not super duper understanding, but they try their best. his mom beats herself up because she thinks he didn't have a strong enough female role model in his life. they're trying.

I may be cringe...But I am free! This is my first time actively sharing my headcanons. Sorry if this sounds incoherent, these were partially done on impulse because I wanna share my love for this game!!!

Growing up, her family placed many expectations on her. Academically, she went beyond most of her class, but as she got older, she struggled immensely with various insecurities over being "good enough".

It developed into her feeling very hyper-independent. She only considers it her final option.

It's...Partially the reason why she's so estranged from her family now.

Undiagnosed autistic (currently going through burnout)

Major reason why she kept failing medical school: She kept running out of money she earned from working hauls with Pony Express. Is in debt.

On the ship, she...Doesn't do much. With such a small crew, there's very little chance of anyone getting seriously hurt. And the food...Well, it's terrible, but not enough to make anyone sick.

She spends a lot of time (during the "workday") in her office. She likes playing the music while she studies in there. It's mostly ambient music.

Bands/Artists I'd think she'd like though: The Crane Wives, Mitski, boa (Maybe Big Thief as well?)

When the crew is playing a board game and it's getting intense, she'll go eerily quiet and have this intense glare!

Smokes often, usually when she's stressed. Unfortunately on this haul, she only packed one box, so she making them last as much as she can...

Also has a journal. She mainly uses it to vent her frustrations out. It's the only thing that will "listen" to her.

just found the note in my notes app with basic character backgrounds for all of my fics so i wanted to list some things that i feel like are super applicable to all of them:

eddy: "spruce blue" eyes, definitely matured since middle school and is pretty self assured but still insecure and coming out will be the final nail in the coffin for his insecurity and identity issues probably, not a morning person

ed: cystic acne and freckles literally everywhere, clairvoyant moments/super intuitive, wants to be a freelance artist and will end up making the most money out of the three eds

edd: bi king, burnout king but not academically it's more identity-wise ... he knew so much so early about everything that his own identity kind of got lost in the sauce, best school subjects are all of them but he secretly kinda struggles with english because he doesn't like that there's no right answer hence his expansive vocabulary and over explaining things, really wants everyone to get along and he's willing to manipulate everyone into getting along too, definitely going into some science field but he probably won't leave peach creek even though he says he's only staying in community college for two years

I don’t remember if this was brought up but do you think there’s a reality out there where Chuck created the Winchester sisters? Like there’s a Deanna and Samantha Winchester, instead of Dean and Samuel.

Do you think Deanna would have realized she was bi sooner, or would be under comphet because John probably wasn’t open much to the idea of a queer child in his traditional worldview? Or would she have thought she was a lesbian first because she had to overcompensate for her lack of a father and so focused more on liking girls, especially if she was like Dean and showed a preference for women.

Would her and Lisa have been a thing? Would Samantha and Jessica have been a thing, or would Sam have fallen in love with another girl who also liked girls? (Jessica could be sapphic, we only know her past with Sam, so who’s to say, could be maybe she “experimented” with her friend Samantha and realized she could like girls too.)

Would Samantha have even liked girls, or would she have liked boys? Would she have liked both (or all)?

Would Deanna have been more accepting of her feelings for Castiel (who would still be in his Jimmy meatsuit because that wouldn’t change necessarily, unless Chuck *really* wanted to switch things up) as a woman if her Castiel *also* rebelled liked Dean’s did? Or would her Castiel have toed the line like all the other Castiels?

And then say this universe existed. What if our Dean accidentally got changed into his alternate universe’s body and had to navigate what it was like to be a girl and deal with actual issues that women faced. Like dealing with her period, or misogyny. He would be hit on by sleazy men who used the same pickup lines that he’s used and he’d realize how much of a dick he’d been in the past.

Which is an annoying trope that happens in real life with dudes who pretend to be chicks online, but still something that could work to open his eyes.

And then idk he and Castiel could bang lmao

But nah seriously, in Deanna’s and Samantha’s universe, how much do you think things would change? If everything else had been the same up until their births, and the only thing different was that they were born girls. Everyone else was still the same, say even Castiel’s rebellion, and it was just them that changed.

Anyways getting back into my SPN rewatch and Sam is fighting his soulless self in his mind while Castiel is off trying to crack open Purgatory and I’m dreading Dick (joke intended because lol yeah). Great jokes in S7, but one of my least favorite storylines with Dick and Sam’s whole thing leading up to Gaddy.

LOL thank you for taking interest in my gay luigi posts. I actually did make one of these before but that was two years ago and also mostly jokes so I think this is as good a time as any to do it again but in serious mode. I have also changed my mind on some of these so they might not all line up with the other post but such is life. Obligatory "That's My Opinion" so if my tabloid speculations don't line up with yours feel free to imagine me falling down a very deep hole, or you can close one eye and pretend you're squishing my icon between your fingers like a bug if that's more your speed

WARIO: Briefly said this in the mario post but sure I'll go into more detail about wario's sex life, I think he's aromantic and bisexual. I do realize it comes off as kind of shitty to make Mario be Romantic Asexual and "Evil Mario" be Aromantic Sexual, but as a Wario Megafan I just think that he values his friendships a lot more, and given what we have seen of wario's disgust for romance despite his very active libido* (I promise that link is not as bad as it looks), I think it would be remiss to pretend that he would ever want to settle down with someone. He still loves people in a platonic way - even beyond the warioware cast, he cared a lot about princess shokora by the end of WL4, and even though he does not necessarily LIKE waluigi (and I do subscribe to poppadopolos theory so I am of the belief that they were fuckin' and truckin' for a good portion of the early 2000's), I think wario still cares about him in his wario way. They are like a divorced couple that still has kids except instead of kids it's cheating at tennis. Also, I think that wario is transgender, because it explains a lot about him (e.g. his lack of nipples) and because that way nobody has to think about what his "real name" was before it was wario. It was his deadname! Everybody go home! Have a rotten day!

*I do not think that wario would canonically catcall random news reporters but I'm still counting this as nebulous evidence that wario can be horny

MONA: I think that she is bisexual but doesn't know it at this point in time and also isn't really stressing about it. Her taste is kind of skewed towards whatever wario is (in a puppy love type of way i do NOT ship them), but if she ended up having a close friendship with a girl her age I could see her catching feelings. I don't wanna say that her thing with wario is comphet because that's not entirely true but I do think that his unattainability is a comfortable way for her to not have to think about actually getting into a relationship. (For the record, I don't think she even wants to BE in a relationship with him, I think she is perfectly happy with the way things are, but mona has TMI'd about her opinion on wario's physique often enough that I kind of get the idea.)

JIMMY T: My opinions on him have not changed. Who do you think gave him the T? Also, I didn't mention this before, but I do think he is bisexual, and although it kind of feels like a cop-out to make the Holy Trinity of Warioware all bisexual, sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles. Groovy!

DRIBBLE: This is where things start to diverge from the original post. I said he was bisexual before But I lied I think he just likes men. I think that he has a supportive family, but he's still a little shy about actually going out to meet people and start a relationship. Anyways you're probably not gonna like what I have to say next

SPITZ: I am soooooo sorry. But I think that he is straight. More power to you guys but I never really got into dribblenspitz as a Ship because I associate their dynamic so strongly with the Cool Boss + Rookie dynamic that we have all been at least one half of that I can't imagine them in a romantic relationship. They have the most beautiful bromance of course, they would go to the ends of the earth for each other, but they wouldn't smooch. I think that spitz's dating life is/has been kind of sad (not in a angst way in a regular way) and were he to go back into the dating scene dribble would hype him up about it and give him advice and spitz would be like hey why don't you have a girlfriend? You're clearly better at this than me and dribble would say uuuhhhhh

ORBULON: Orbulon is hard to pigeonhole into these labels because the guys on orbulon's home planet operate on an entirely different paradigm from humans on earth. Reproduction via budding, communal childrearing, telepathic mega-cliques*.....on Earth, orbulon certainly has no interest in romance or beyond (both because he has no need for it and because he is two thousand years old on the planet of the apes), but he does have fun being a girl. You could call him "genderfluid", but he also doesn't feel too much of a connection to any earth genders in general; he just likes wearing different hats.

CRYGOR: I think that he has had no interest in romance for a hundred years, but also if he randomly picked up a stepdad for his adult children one day I would not be mad. (Mike might be, but he would eventually come around due to the Power of Love and whatnot.) Penny is his "granddaughter" but I think that this is more a label for convenience's sake and because she IS his granddaughter at heart. "But why does she randomly show up into everyone's lives in smooth moves as a full grown kid" Until warioware decides to show me her parents themselves I'm not entertaining this plot hole

PENNY: The reason I don't think penny is his granddaughter is because I still think she is a transgender clone of dr crygor. I think that crygor is enthusiastically supportive of her, gets her all the pink glittery shit her heart could desire, and helped her transition with his Science Inventions. I also think she is a lesbian, although I don't Ship her with anyone in the main cast (sorry again).

Relationships with the crew:

+ Captain Curly: Professional, but friendly. Working comms means Tan is in and out of the cockpit sometimes, so they've gotten used to being around each other.

+ Engineer Swansea: Respects the old guy. Tanner and Swansea know their ways around different aspects of the ship. Tan sometimes goes to Swansea when he needs something fixed when he can't do it, and vice versa.

+ Nurse Anya: Neutral. Tanner doesn't talk to her much outside of the mandatory psych evals, but when he does, he's very closed off and quiet. He's not a fan of medical, though...

+ Intern Daisuke: Unsure. At first, Tanner thought the kid was a nuisance but he got used to the over the shoulder pestering whenever Tan was in his general area (cough cooking and cleaning cough). But, he reminds him of his sister... he doesn't like that.

+ Co-pilot Jimmy: Banter-y, but friendly(ish). Like with Curly, Tan comes in and out of the cockpit, so he's used to seeing Jimmy and vice versa. Tan got into the habit of calling Jimmy things other than his name to annoy the guy, but it's more of a 'stupid nickname' thing than a 'I'm trying to piss you off' thing. He's unsure of something though...

How did you start shipping Ronance?

This is a bit of a long story but I will give it because I have time.

So before season 4 I had no interest in watching Stranger Things. It didn't seem like a show for me and in a way I was right with thinking that. And the story also doesn't start with the release of season 4.

It starts a few years earlier with the release of the Fear Street trilogy. Which I fell in love with. I even wrote my thesis on Fear Street: 1978. But in the first Fear Street Maya plays a character that gets killed in the first 10 minutes and yet it was enough to make me fall in love.

So, slowly I got into her music which caused my tik tok to become all Maya Hawke by the time I got tik tok. And it evolved from just edits to To Love a Boy to clips of her in the Stranger Things recap song on Jimmy Fallon. And so I watched the Stranger Things recap song like on repeat for her part in it.

Which then caused my tik tok to turn into clips from Stranger Things and a lot of them included clips from the Library ronance scene. And yet that wasn't entirely enough yet.

The last push came from a friend who totally tricked me. I wanted her to watch a show I was into and she said she would if I watched Stranger Things. I remember joking and saying I'd start at season 3 for Maya but she went ballistic so I watched the whole show. The reason I say she tricked me is because she never ended up watching the show I liked.

Anyway I ended up watching the show and the show on its own doesn't interest me that much but I quickly fell in love with the characters. Especially Nancy in season 1 and 2. I very quickly started seeing her as a comphet lesbian. So, when I get to Nancy and Robin actually meeting... I felt the love for the ship instantly.

It did take me a while to start writing fanfiction. I used to write for other fandoms (on a different account) and I was a bit hesitant on getting back into that because it takes up so much time. But then I was at work (my previous job at the same company I work for now, what can I say, they love me) and my boss was working somewhere else so I was alone and I get this idea for the very first ronance fic I ever wrote: Peaceful (With You). And well, I just had to write it. And the rest, I'm afraid, is history.

hi everyone heres some ideas ive come up with for my pjo au:

when stan finds out randy isnt his real dad his first thought is RELIEF and then when he gets claimed by apollo hes like this is my chance to prove im not my "dad's" son im my Dad's son. and then he sucks at archery and gets queasy around injuries/medicine related stuff

stan is school friends w jimmy pre-camp unknowing that jimmy actually goes around finding other demigods and then one day a monster attacks so on and so forth and they barely make it to camp but stan is like. on the brink of collapse

hes like going in and out of consciousness after the fight so he doesnt really register when someone from camp comes to help them yadda yadda something something

the person in question was kyle and he actually stayed in the infirmary until nichole assured him stan was gonna be fine and hes like he cant know about this thats so embarrassing. stan later overhears that it was an athena kid through nichole (who is the head doctor) and hes like omg i gotta thank this person for saving our asses

around this time stan 'meets' kyle when he approaches him and kyle pulls put a knife at him in self defense. stans like WHOA dude just wanted to ask something.... kyle is kinda like >_> at him . he goes oh sorry lawl and now theyre friends

later when jimmy is showing him around and explaining stuff etc he notices wendy practicing/training and he goes whos that. jimmys like thats wendy shes the best archer here shes from the athena cabin. and stan goes OHHHH athena cabin it must be her who saved me !!!!!!!

which leads to stan thinking he owes her and he befriends her like hi!!! :) cue the comphet and him thinking hes into her . like in icarly or whatever. wendy can see through his act Immediately but still plays along

she does eventually teach and help him w archery and they become friends
