Our Activities
Cow Protection
Protection As of today, over 21,000 stray and destitute Desi Indian cows, bulls, and their progenies are being sheltered in our Gaurakshashala. These animals are brought to us through various channels, including the police, government agencies, NGOs, and farmers. We provide them with a second chance at life, offering complete care, food, and shelter, along with a fully equipped in-house medical facility.
Shelter Ensuring proper shelter for the rescued gauvansh is a top priority. We have constructed spacious shelters with large shades to accommodate the growing number of protected cows. We continue building new cow sheds to meet increasing demands and provide a comfortable living environment, creating a holy and safe space for these precious gauvansh.
Dry Fodder Storage We have huge storage facilities capable of storing approximately 4 million kg of dry husk, which is essential for cow food. Annually, we require at least 9 million kg of dry fodder. Our team regularly inspects and maintains the storage facility to ensure the husk remains fresh and free from contamination.
Nourishment/Fodder Our gauvansh are fed a carefully crafted mixture of dry fodder, green fodder, grains, mustard cake, and jaggery. This balanced diet is provided twice a day, ensuring they receive essential nutrients for their overall well-being.
Medical Facility We have doctors available 24/7, providing comprehensive in-house medical facilities with ample stocks of necessary medicines and vaccinations. Our services include both routine medical assistance and emergency support for injured or sick cows, ensuring prompt and effective medical help.
Free Milk Distribution The small quantity of milk produced in our gaushala is freely distributed to saints, gausewaks, ashrams, and charitable hospitals in Haridwar and Rishikesh. We do not engage in the commercial sale of milk or milk products, supporting the well-being and nutritional needs of dedicated individuals and organizations.
Protection Drive We continuously run a protection drive to bring stray and destitute Desi mother cows and bulls to our gaushala. Starting with 11 cows in 2011, we are now sheltering and protecting over 21,000 gauvansh, reflecting our unwavering dedication to their welfare.
Breeding Research is underway to enhance the genetic traits of indigenous cows for disease resistance, adaptability, and higher milk production. Our breeding programs aim to create a sustainable ecosystem where farmers are encouraged to keep these indigenous cows, promoting traditional agricultural practices.
Vocational Training Programs We conduct vocational training on the importance of Desi cows and bulls, manufacturing products like dhoop, phenyl, and cosmetics, and promoting organic farming. These initiatives educate farmers and create a network of skilled individuals championing sustainable agriculture and cow protection.
Cultivation of Green Fodder We cultivate various types of green fodder to ensure a consistent supply, addressing market scarcity. This initiative provides a balanced and wholesome diet for our gauvansh, enhancing their overall health and well-being.
Distribution of Bulls on a Returnable Basis Our program provides high-quality bulls for farming and breeding purposes to farmers on a returnable basis. This supports traditional agricultural practices and the preservation of indigenous cow breeds, empowering farmers and promoting sustainable farming.
Generation of Electricity Our Gaurakshashala utilizes renewable energy through gobar gas plants and biogas generators for power and cooking purposes. Solar water pumps and street lights, along with a 200 KVA solar power genset, meet our power requirements, minimizing our carbon footprint and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
Organic Farming We promote the cultivation of grains, vegetables, and green fodder, supporting organic farming by encouraging pesticide-free crops and eco-friendly practices. Our mission is to convert surrounding villages to organic farming, benefiting society with chemical-free food and healthier lifestyles.
BIO CNG Plant Daily, we convert 25,000 kg of cow dung into CNG gas and manure, producing clean and renewable energy while creating organic fertilizers. This process maximizes the value of cow dung and minimizes waste, fostering a sustainable and efficient resource utilization cycle.
Bio and Organic Fertilizer Unit We manufacture organic manure from cow dung and slurry, promoting organic farming with minimal-cost products. This initiative aims to reduce the use of chemical pesticides, fostering healthier lives and wider acceptance of indigenous cows.
Calamity Support
We consistently offer support and assistance to those affected by calamities:
MP Flood (2021): Provided food and shelter to thousands of affected people.
Uttarakhand Flood (2013): Ran camps for months, offering relief, food, and lifesaving drugs to thousands.
Food Distribution
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our gaushala distributed food to thousands of affected families, sent supplies to remote regions, and ran food camps. We also regularly send truckloads of supplies to remote locations like Badrinath and Gangotri and run multiple camps to provide meals to those in need.
Bhandara
Our Bhandara for saints and others runs throughout the year. We regularly send vehicle loads of vegetables, grains, and other items for saints and tapaswis living in hilly regions like Badrinath and Gangotri, supporting their spiritual pursuits and fostering a sense of unity and care within the community.
Yagya and Cultural Events
Our gaushala is blessed with a magnificent yagya mandap situated on the serene banks of Ma Ganga, where accomplished Vedic Brahmins conduct sacred rituals. These spiritual endeavors create an atmosphere of divine grace and positive energy, fostering a deep connection with spirituality and celebrating our rich cultural heritage.
Hospital
We provide medical services through our dedicated hospital, D S Global Heart Care, at minimal or no cost to the needy in Uttarakhand. Our primary focus is to ensure accessible healthcare for all, contributing to the well-being and welfare of the community.

What Is a Community Support Specialist?
Community support specialists are the bridge between an organization and its community, fostering engagement, providing assistance, and ensuring satisfaction. They also play a key role in ensuring that people have access to the right resources.
Answers to questions are highlighted and pinned for easy reference, and translation features expand the reach of your support content. The result is a highly personalized experience for each client.
Providing emotional support
Emotional support is a type of support that helps people feel connected and less alone. It includes listening without judgment, showing sympathy, and expressing empathy. It also includes encouragement, reassurance, and companionship.
Emotional support can help a person deal with stress and anxiety, as well as feelings of depression.
In one study, researchers explored the effects of different types of community support services on self-efficacy for continuous community living among individuals with disabilities and caregivers. They found that while all types of support services were important, only center-based care and financial subsidies significantly contributed to the overall self-efficacy for community living. The findings suggest that community-based support services can be a critical part of mental health recovery for many people. In addition, they can help reduce stigma and promote inclusion.
Providing esteem or social support
Community support services nsw Specialists serve as a vital link between organizations and their communities, fostering engagement and providing assistance. These professionals often have a wide range of skills and focuses, including customer service, advocacy, and program support. They also frequently work in team-oriented environments.
This type of support helps clients feel more confident and capable, reducing the stress caused by events that may negatively impact their lives. It also provides them with an opportunity to connect with others in similar situations and develop a sense of belonging. It can be as simple as a hug or a phone call, or as involved as counseling and support groups.
According to Cutrona and Suhr, there are five general categories of social support: informational, emotional, esteem, and social network support. These categories are based on the content analysis of support messages from diary-like bloggers. The esteem support subcategory most often appeared in these blogs, and it represented more than 45 percent of the total support messages.
Providing financial support
Providing financial support is a common aspect of community support services. This could be as simple as helping a person to get an emergency loan, or more significant in assisting them with paying bills and accessing employment programs. These workers often provide counseling or advice to help a client make decisions that can impact their finances, as well as providing emotional and esteem support.
Despite the importance of community support for individuals with disabilities, this type of service is often overlooked. The current study analyzed the contributions of different types of community support services on self-efficacy for continuous community living among individuals with disabilities and caregivers. Results showed that the perceived importance of improvements to community-based services varied between care-recipients with disabilities and caregivers.
Providing physical support
Community support services are a vital source of assistance for people with mental illness. They provide consumers with the emotional, social, and physical support they need to manage their condition. This can help reduce stress and improve the quality of their lives. This type of support is available to consumers and their families through counseling, individualized skill-teaching, and access to local resources.
Previous studies have shown that different types of community support services contribute to self-efficacy for continuous community living. However, the contributions of these resources to each stakeholder group have not been systematically examined. The current study analyzed the effects of center-based, home-based, respite care, and financial subsidy services on self-efficacy for continuous community living. It also compared and contrasted the perceived importance of improvements in these services among individuals with disabilities and caregivers. The results showed that each group prioritized improvements to different types of community support services. The most important improvement for individuals with disabilities was improved center-based services, while caregivers prioritized improved financial subsidies.

Community Support and Care | bocs.net.au
Community care is a form of empathy that pushes people to think about their wellbeing as an extension of the needs of those around them. It is a practice that can be implemented formally or informally.
Community support services can have many benefits for individuals with disabilities. For instance, one study found that community support increases the confidence of care-recipients with disabilities in their ability to continue living in the community.
Self-Care
Self-care is the ability of individuals, families and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a health worker. As the world struggles to meet its demand for healthcare services, self-care is gaining attention as an important strategy for managing chronic diseases.
A self-care routine can help you improve your mental and physical well-being, reduce stress and anxiety, boost happiness levels, and more. It can also benefit your relationships, increase productivity at work, and boost the immune system. It’s important to remember that self-care isn’t something that should be viewed as selfish. When you take care of yourself, you are better able to provide care for others.
It’s important to note that the definition of self-care varies from person to person. For example, a young person who is busy with school and a social life may need to focus on physical self-care, while someone who is retired might have more of an emphasis on psychological self-care.
Isolation
Although some people may enjoy solitude, isolation is an unwelcome state that often carries health risks. Unlike loneliness, which can occur with any amount of social contact, social isolation results from a lack of connections. Individuals who suffer from isolation may benefit from talk therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT sessions help individuals identify misperceptions and reshape negative thinking.
Communities across the globe are taking innovative steps to address the rise of isolation. They use community care strategies to connect people not only to each other but also to healthcare professionals and resources. For example, Zimbabwe’s Friendship Bench program, now adapted in eight countries from Malawi to Canada, provides a gateway to mental health support by putting trained community members on benches at clinics and communities to offer assistance with tasks of daily living. This helps individuals stay connected to the community and improves their quality of life. It can also reduce the strain on healthcare systems, a key element of the COVID-19 pandemic's physical distancing measures.
Social Media
Social media is a powerful tool for community support and care. Its accessibility allows it to reach a wide audience, especially when it comes to crisis management during times of emergency or natural disaster. It can also be used to provide education on a variety of topics.
In addition to providing educational information, a social media team can be used to promote events and programs in the community. For example, COMPASS uses Twitter to post promotions for regular scholarly events (eg, monthly journal club discussions focusing on articles addressing health equity and social determinants of health) and picture-based promotions of community partnered community health and wellness events.
Moreover, it is important for community-oriented organizations to maintain an active social media presence so that they can be a source of information during emergency situations. They can monitor all relevant queries and comments, hashtags and posts from fans and followers on their owned profiles, and respond to them as quickly as possible. Unanswered comments and questions can damage brand reputation, and the longer a problem is left unsolved, the harder it will be to recover.

Lessons Learned From The First 30 Days Of Running A Home Care Business
Introduction: What is a Home Care Service?
A home care service is a type of health care that helps people with their day-to-day activities.
It is most often used for people who are unable to take care of themselves.
A home care service can help people with a variety of tasks. This includes cooking, cleaning, laundry, and transportation to appointments.
It can also include providing companionship and emotional support.
Tumblr media
How to Decide If You Need a Home Care Provider?
A home care provider can be an integral part of your elder care. If you are looking for a home care provider, there are some things you will want to consider before choosing one.
The first thing that you will want to think about is how much time they offer. This is important because not all providers offer the same amount of hours or days per week. You will also want to think about what type of services they offer, and whether or not they offer transportation services.
The Challenges of Being an In-Home Caregiver
Caregivers are at risk of developing mental health problems because of the high-stress levels that they have to cope with.
Social isolation and lack of fulfillment in caregiving can lead to depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. Caregivers often feel like they're not doing enough, or they're not doing it right. That can lead to feelings of guilt, anger, and resentment.
Caregivers are often underemployed and don't have a chance for advancement in their careers or education opportunities for themselves.
How To Find A Quality Home Care Provider For Your Senior Loved One?
When you are looking for a Home Care Service provider for your loved one, there are many things to consider. You want a provider that will be caring and attentive to their needs, as well as someone who is experienced and qualified. There are many home care providers out there so how do you find the right one?
The first step is to speak with your loved one about what they want in a caregiver. If they are able, ask them what they like or dislike about their current caregiver. This will give you an idea of what they need in a new caregiver and it will also help them feel involved in the process.
Next, it’s important to look at the credentials of potential care providers. There should be no question that the person you hire has experience providing care to seniors and is qualified by law to do so.

Artists UNITE!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So... With all these changes going on, I got a few things to say.
The new "Block" feature. I put quotes on that because with the new changes made, it is essentially useless. As it says, any accounts blocked will still be able to view your content, but won't be able to engage with them, such as leaving a comment or retweeting or anything. BUT if you truly want to protect your posts and limit who can see what, you can lock your account. But that means you won't be able to get more engagement or new followers.
This also means that NSFW artists/content creators who've blocked minors from seeing their content? Yeah, those minors are gonna have full access anyways and there us nothing we can do about it except maybe report them.
Any abusers/stalkers who like to keep tabs on your accounts? They can see, regardless of being blocked.
This has got to be a violation and Google Play and Apple App Store should put X on blast for it.
The second thing!!
If any of you have seen the tweet going around, there has been a recent change to the Terms of Service and will be effective come November 15th.
It'll let Twitter use your posts (images, videos, audio) to train their Grok AI. You can opt out, but come Novwmber 15th, you just automatically get opted back in.
I dunno about y'all, BUT I DO NOT CONSENT TO HAVING MY STUFF USED FOR AI PURPOSES!!
And if you feel the same, I have a suggestion:
I think that we, as artists and content creators, should unite together and nuke our Twitter/X accounts. I know it's a lot, especially those who have really put a lot of work into it, but would you really want to have all that hard work just be fed to an AI?
I say any and all content we have on Twitter should immediately be migrated over to other sites.
Bluesky is always nice and have no complaints so far and since these changes Twitter/X made, they've gain a huuuuuge amount of traffic.
Cora is another place I've been hearing about. I have no opinions about it so far, but did make an account. I've heard they're very anti-AI, so that's good!
Pillowfort could still be a go-to possibly. Hell, maybe even here on Tumblr since it's been getting active again!
We've got options! We can give one last fuck you to Elongated Muskrat to show what we think about his new changes! But that choice is ultimately up to you.
If you guys wanna follow me, my BlueSky account is here, but fair warning, I do post NSFW art on there.

The Benefits of NDIS Community Support
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers participants a variety of community access activities to help them build relationships and increase their confidence. These activities are also a great way to get involved in recreational and social events.
NDIS community participation supports can be included in your Core Support budget or as a capacity building support. They can be used to pay for activities that help you learn new skills.
Increased social and community participation
Community participation in NDIS services can help participants build trust and a sense of belonging. These activities promote social interaction and offer a variety of benefits, including increased self-confidence and improved health outcomes. They also help people develop more meaningful relationships with their family members and peers. This is especially true if families are involved in the process of planning and implementation. Moreover, they can share their thoughts and opinions with other stakeholders.
The NDIS offers many different support items to help with increasing community participation, including Core Supports and Capacity Building. These supports can be used to pay for a range of activities, such as art classes, sports coaching, and vacation activities. However, it is important to note that the activities must be reasonable and necessary, and must align with your NDIS plan goals.
Choosing the right community participation services is crucial for your well-being and quality of life. If you are unsure what is covered under your NDIS plan, talk to your local area coordinator (LAC), NDIS planner, or psychosocial recovery coach for more information.
Person-centered planning
Person-centered planning through NDIS community support involves exploring the unique goals and interests of participants. This can help them develop a positive vision for the future and identify their strengths and preferences. It can also encourage the development of social networks and relationships. This approach is a crucial part of ensuring that NDIS services meet the individual’s needs.
During the process, participants should involve their family members and friends in person-centered planning, even if they are not legally authorized to make decisions for them. The NDIS should also provide training and resources for family members and carers to help them navigate the complex process.
The NDIS provides a range of community participation supports for people with disability, including physical spaces, cultural activities and digital platforms. These can promote inclusion and diversity in local communities. They can also boost confidence and build new skills. In addition, they can connect people with local communities and encourage them to explore their interests.
Access to community services
NDIS community support aims to help people with disability participate in activities in their local communities. This can range from recreational pursuits such as sports or art classes to social activities such as attending an event with friends. These activities can boost a participant’s self-esteem and improve their wellbeing.
Community participation support is currently provided through the NDIS’s Navigation
Function, but we have heard from participants and their families that this is inadequate for navigating complex service systems. NDIS’s local community engagement teams prioritize information sharing and active listening, with gathered feedback feeding into ongoing Scheme improvement projects.
It’s important to choose a community support provider that shares your interests and can connect you with others who share those same interests. This way, you can have fun and feel more connected with your community. To get started, check out Mable, where you can book a support worker who shares your passions. It’s also a great place to find someone who is reliable and can help you achieve your goals.
Support items
The NDIS funds a wide range of support items. These include daily living support, core supports, and capacity building supports. These support items can help participants navigate the NDIS system and develop their self-advocacy skills. This is important because the NDIS requires participants to be able to advocate for their own needs.
NDIS payments are made against a set of support item numbers, which can be found in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and the NDIS Support Catalogue. Providers must claim payments against the correct item number, which accurately reflects the service they are providing. If a participant has their funding managed by a plan manager, they can assist with selecting the right line item, which aligns with their services and goals.
Support items with a Custom Price can be added to the NDIS Direct Client Funding record using the Add a new Support Item form. When this is done, the Custom Price will appear in the NDIS Support Allocations in Activities report for all future allocations of that Support Item.

They will also assist in linking to community based activities that are personcentered and designed for people with behavioral health diagnoses.
A Community Support Agency strives to recognize that everyone is a valuable member of society and works to ensure their inclusion and full community participation. They accomplish this through applied research, policy advocacy and training programs for Direct Support Professionals. They also work to elevate the profession by fostering leadership and promoting system reform. Through this, they help to transform the way that society views and values people with disabilities.

Service dog vet bills! Come get your familiar readings.
Once again apologizing for the lack of updates today—finally off work and very unfortunately had to mitigate an oncoming PTSD episode. I had to rush to the therapist unexpectedly and lose $100 of my service dog's vet bills due Friday to the last-minute therapy, as well as spend lots of time at the gym to get back into my body. Pretty disappointed, I had saved up enough in tips from my tours over the weekend for my service dog's vet bills and I'm right back to scraggling for just enough funds to pick her up on Friday. PTSD is unpredictable, fast, and life-threatening.
Thankfully if all goes well, my sweet service dog comes home forever on Friday and I'll at last have my medical assistance that I need for my PTSD.
If anyone wants to help with my stress (lol), I still have a couple of familiar spirit readings open. Since I'll have extra time this week from days off to pick up my baby girlie pup, your reading would (or will, for you patient folks) be done by the end of this weekend! <3
