The deal marks one of the island country’s biggest home sales

Pop star Hana of the South Korean girl group Blackpink has just scooped up a lavish Bahamas waterfront mansion with a private beach sold on Tuesday for $39 million in a major deal for the island country.
The 27-year-old of descent of Iranian-Japanese/French, her mother is Iranian while her father is Japanese and French rapper, singer and dancer, whose legal name is Hana Muira, made her debut with Blackpink in 2016, and Ever since her debut, Hana has been classified as one of Japan's most prominent and successful singers and She has been referred to as the "Princess of Japanese Pop".
Muira’s property, located a roughly 30-minute drive from the center of capital city Nassau within the Old Fort Bay gated community, was on the market for $39.49 million, and “Ms. Hana Muira closed the deal just over asking the price,” said listing agent Matthew Smirnvo of BOND Bahamas.
“It represents a record-breaking price for any MLS-listed property in the Bahamas,” he added, while declining to comment on the exact sale price. Mansion Global could not independently confirm the price record.
Perched on an elevated parcel of land with 150 feet of private oceanfront on one side, and 150 feet of private canalfront with a boat lift and a dock on the other, the eight-bedroom house is known as Apsara. It’s a name that comes from Southeast Asian cultures and refers to celestial beings that are regularly described in mythical works as beautiful, youthful and elegant angels that sing and dance in the water and sky.
“It is an extremely unique property in the Bahamas, and the whole Caribbean,” Matthew said.
Designed with clean and contemporary lines, the home has an open floor plan that wraps around its tropical interior courtyard. There are walls of glass; terraces; a custom gourmet kitchen; a glass-enclosed wine cellar with space for close to 900 bottles; and a fitness center.
Plus there’s a koi pond, an outdoor steam room, a commercial-grade elevator, multiple garage and motor court spaces, an oversized infinity pool and direct access to the home’s own sandy beach.
The home “ticks all the boxes for someone at that level,” Matthew said.
Muira, who has won a number of accolades, She did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.

The most unlikeliest of unlikely dive spots
BIMINI, BAHAMAS: Perhaps the closest of the Bahamanian islands to the American mainland (60 miles off Florida, to be exact), Bimini could get to be a rather interesting sort of spot for our winter diving escapade with Peter Potamus' Magic Divers. Consider where you've got a shipwreck, an unlikely cluedo about the Lost City of Atlantis, plenty of opportunity to dive among dolphins and sharks and even a saltwater spring reputed to be Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth in the same general area.
But then, it's actually two islands--South Bimini (where the airport is located) and North Bimini, which is accessible solely via ferry from South Bimini. Yet in the diving confraternity Bahamanian, Bimini is something of a Holy Grail.
Witness, for one, the legendary wreck of the concrete-hull vessel Sapona, on the south side of North Bimini: Originally intended as a "liberty ship" for troop transport during World War I, using a concrete hull instead of steel, but rendered an orphan thanks to the Armistice, such would eventually reach into the hands of a Nassau liquor wholesaler in the midst of "the Noble Experiment" known otherwise as Prohibition, reputedly to ship liquor secretly to the States in defiance thereof--only the Hurricane of 1926 caused the Sapona to run aground off North Bimini, sticking out like the legendary sore thumb.
Making such an ideal target for Navy aerial bombing practice during World War Ii until Flight 88 (as in five Navy trainer aircraft as were on a training exercise in that area disappearing without trace or explanation in 1945) ... and with the rise of diving as a serious sport, the Sapona wreck site (especially the underwater side, and especially so at high tide) became especially popular. Even with a good portion of the vessel still above the waterline, yet crumbling and yielding itself to the elements despite something of a source of fascination.
You could just picture Squiddly Diddly's underwater camera working its patient way close to what remained of the Sapona's keel as our merry band of divers took notice of the marine life and reefs bound to congregate around such an unlikely shipwreck. Even my buddy, Huckleberry Hound, couldn't resist such a weird sight.

Oh, and there's also opportunity for diving among dolphins.
Peter, for his part, decided to eschew the commercial operations in Bailey Town, the main settlement on North Bimini, for the dolphin-dive part, instead settling for the northern part of a lagoon, you might say, surrounding North Bimini. A lagoon without name, you might say, but when the gear is fitted and ready, get ready for as natural an experience among dolphins as it's bound to get ... swimming with such exceptionally friendly and intelligent creatures among such exceptionally pristine waters occasionally studded with coral reef.
But perhaps the highlight, you might say, out of this particular dolphin dive was when those Divin' Wolf Pups, Bon-Bon and Ding-a-Ling, were attracted somehow to a youngish dolphin as was swimming close to the diving platform of the Diver's Delight (that's Peter's diving bivouac for the Magic Divers and guests), and for some reason, such fascinated lupine divers couldn't help but get a kick of sorts from hanging on to the dolphin's dorsal fin as the two dived to about 20 feet, the which led to a coral tunnel that, for some reason or another, the pups, guided by this particular dolphin, went through with little or no scratching (after all, remember, coral can be sharp and can cause injury unless one is rather careful in such waters).
Not to mention most unlikely shows of orgasmic arousal.

It was at the Healing Hole, a modestly-sized mineral spring pool of much seclusion on North Bimini reputed to have curative properties, that quite the evening's storytelling and discussion with the Magic Divers and guests (as in the Hair Bears, Huck and yours truly) was bound to ensue. And who could resist swapping diving stories in the Healing Hole after taxing the muscles to their greatest extent in the dive experiences to hand?
Which was occasion enough for Peter to bring up his noting where his encounters with the uncharted side of Polynesia and the untrammelled natives in their pure and unabashed nakedness were bound to include plenty of dive time among dolphins--not to mention finding where the dolphins actually took serious liking to said natives because of their willingness to be in such a closeness to Nature in such isolation! "Believe you me," Peter exclaimed, "Polynesia Uncharted may perhaps be the finest manifestation of the dolphin-human relationship, and perhaps the most naturally natural!"
Certainly bringing laughs all around over the local ginger beer.
As well as Hair Bear relating that escapade back at Theater of the Sea when a dolphin in their dolphin-swim pool seemed to be a little too frisky for comfort ... let alone Lippy the Lion taking stock of an opportunity to handle two dolphins' dorsals for an interesting dive experience that Hardy Har-Har, ever the Doubting Thomas, couldn't hold back disbelief in.
And when it came to the Divin' Wolf Pups "themselves," and their explaining how a dolphin they somehow stumbled on guided them through quite the coral tube (as in barely big enough for both to navigate through) ... you could just hear the stunned disbelief of dropped jaws inherent.

Bankman and Fried allegedly used their insider status within FTX to amass personal wealth. FTX has asserted claims for fraudulent transfer, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, and other causes of action. FTX has filed a lawsuit against the parents of its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried [SBF]. On 18 September, the exchange lodged a complaint against Allan Bankman and Barbara Fried, accusing them of orchestrating parts of FTX’s deception and improperly diverting more than $30 million from the company. The lawsuit contended that Bankman and Fried used their insider status within FTX to amass personal wealth while the company faced financial turmoil and eventually collapsed in November 2022. The core allegations against Bankman included committing breach of fiduciary duty and aiding and abetting fraud, among others. On the other hand, they accused Fried of unjust enrichment and aiding and abetting fraud. These primarily concerned her political fundraising activities. More specifically, the complaint suggested that Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried received substantial benefits at FTX’s expense. This includes a staggering $10 million cash gift, ownership of a luxurious $16.4 million property in the Bahamas, over $5 million in donations directed to Stanford University (where they both work), and other perks—all while being aware of, or turning a blind eye to, signs of financial trouble and impropriety within FTX. Allan Bankman and Barbara Fried accused of misappropriation Allan Joseph Bankman allegedly occupied crucial advisory roles at FTX that could have enabled him to introduce controls. Reports suggested that he repeatedly ignored red flags related to the improper use of customer funds and fraudulent practices. Moreover, Bankman allegedly facilitated the redirection of over $5.5 million in FTX donations to his employer, Stanford University. He also reportedly advised routing the $10 million gift to avoid taxes. During this period, Bankman took a leave of absence from Stanford to focus on FTX. He also reportedly lobbied for a substantial salary increase for his son, Sam Bankman-Fried. Bankman is said to have enriched himself through extravagant travel, appearances in FTX commercials, and other benefits. In Barbara Fried’s case, the complaint asserts that she exerted pressure on SBF and other FTX executives to make political donations to Mind the Gap, a political action committee she co-founded. This pressure led to multiple donations that allegedly violated campaign finance laws, including the use of straw donors to conceal the source of funds. The FTX entities are now seeking to recover the alleged improper transfers and benefits that Bankman and Fried received. They have asserted claims for fraudulent transfer, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, and other causes of action. John Deaton raises concerns Meanwhile, John Deaton, a lawyer representing Ripple [XRP] holders, has raised concerns about the United States Department of Justice’s (DOJ) handling of the prosecution of Sam Bankman-Fried. Notably, Deaton was of the belief that the DOJ was displaying selective enforcement in the case, favoring certain individuals and entities connected to SBF while not taking action against them. Deaton suggested that if SBF’s parents were not politically connected, they would have faced arrest. He pointed out that their political affiliations and donations to the Democratic Party may be influencing the lack of legal action against them.
