Got back from a concert based on Chinese mythology and on one hand it absolutely proves there is no "too much smoke machines" because they absolutely went ham AND cheese with it but on the other hand half of the story about the ten suns was literally the golden ravens eating a comically large lollipop

oh!! other headcanon I have for watching things. since neil doesn’t like movies, and matt wants to have bro nights, he starts introducing him to cartoons and neil actually likes those. he’s much more willing to watch wall-e than an action movie.
the only things neil will watch:

cartoons/animated movies

literally sobbing at the thought of neil finally getting to enjoy things (or at least try things) that feel "childish" because he never got to experience them as a child
him and andrew building lego. watching cartoons/animated movies with matt. dan somehow managing to convince him to jump into puddles or into piles of leaves. allison painting his face. trying childish too-sweet treats for the first time because he never had the chance to try them before.
he might not like it all, he might feel like it's stupid, but there's a small warm feeling in his chest at getting to experience some of these things that he thought he'd gotten too old for.
