Rom & Transformers...

Just finished checking the so called title. And... meh! Don't take me wrong. I loved the original '80s Rom comics, about an alien race whose soldiers (knights) were armoured with bionic silvery coats and traveled around the universe, hunting the "evil race" of Ghosts that covered themselves among the locals.

I never finished reading the sagas, though.

So I come across these comics with that light. And I'm quite disappointed! I mean. The art is really good! I love how the TF looks in these comics and their facial expressions. I also love Screamer's sarcastic points and the fact UltraMagnus is a government official in armour. I even love the Coneheads.

BUT.

The whole plot is a full collection of clichés. I knew what was going on from the very beginning and how it was going to end. And worse: no ghosts here. Just a war between a certain empire and alien octopuses with a solitary TF femme in between.

I don't know anymore if after TAAO, this universe is worthy to read.

There is a video! One of the stories of the convention has a video filmed from the stage. Is the 8th aprox from the first story.

I was on the side watching and saw Bender bend the knee and show a little ring box, Zoidberg jumped and the Leela cosplayer was holding a sign that said "querés casarte conmigo?". So earnest, dorky and sweet.

This could only happen at the Crack Bang Boom, said the surprised dude that was hosting the contest. And yep. I agree.

At the Crack Bang Boom, our biggest comics convention in Argentina, in the middle of the cosplay contest, Bender asked Zoidberg to marry him in front of +5000 people.

The crowd went insane.

And Zoidberg said yes.
