When it comes to playing Smash Bros. online- hit me. Beat the shit out of me. Do it again. Punish my weaknesses. I’ll learn. I’ll get better. I’ll overcome. Bring your full power down onto me. Just don’t be a jerk about it- if you’re damn good, then act like it and don’t be an insufferable scrub about it.

People like that are the one reason I don’t like playing online much, and it sucks because I’m actively looking for the strongest opponents I can face so I can get better.

That smug insufferable asshole stereotypical competitive gamer attitude doesn’t jam with me at all though. God, I really want to get good enough to thoroughly punish it whenever I come across it. At least it’s a motivator in that sense, though it’s a demotivator in every other sense.

this may be completely ridiculous, but i had an idea for c.t.’s rvb verse:

the director gets semi-regular brain scans of the freelancers, under the guise of making sure there’s not damage from concussions or something similar. (this is assuming that CTE is a thing in the rvb/halo world.) so, the program has all these scans of the freelancers. 

now, think of soma here. somewhere down the line, c.t.’s scan is used to create the base for a new ai. obviously, some things had to be programmed in. general updates and things like that. if she’s going to be with the reds or blues, she needs to know who they are and just, really, general information that’d be necessary for this kind of experience.

some details may change, this isn’t 100% yet. but waves hands around general ideas?
