this may be completely ridiculous, but i had an idea for c.t.’s rvb verse:
the director gets semi-regular brain scans of the freelancers, under the guise of making sure there’s not damage from concussions or something similar. (this is assuming that CTE is a thing in the rvb/halo world.) so, the program has all these scans of the freelancers.
now, think of soma here. somewhere down the line, c.t.’s scan is used to create the base for a new ai. obviously, some things had to be programmed in. general updates and things like that. if she’s going to be with the reds or blues, she needs to know who they are and just, really, general information that’d be necessary for this kind of experience.
some details may change, this isn’t 100% yet. but waves hands around general ideas?

tentative ideas about c.t.’s history:
-joined the project believing they would be able to help her and her family (either due to lack of money the family has, or a sick family member that needs to be taken care of, or maybe both)
-realized (after some period of time) it was nothing more than an empty promise, only said to get her to join the project
-perhaps the insurrectionists reaches out to her or she does research to find them herself. that’s always been a bit...vague to me. i can see the insurrectionists learning about her and the leader reaching out.
