waccha primagi eps 25 + 26 (mostly the op/ed though)

new op! it’s truly so much better than the live version I heard first. it really has that AvexSound™️. I think I like it more than the last one but tbh the deciding factor will be how the dance for it looks in the game lol

and duos!! oh my god I’m so thrilled and excited by the ones they chose. Amane/Hina is already my fav and I’m obsessed with their Jounetsu Jalapeno flamenco thing as much as I was when Juri & Hinaki did it first. I would’ve had team Matsuri and Lemon being lovey dovey together and then Auru and Miruki just eating each other alive, but given Auru’s fascination w Matsuri that arises in this ep I am really interested in seeing that grow into kind of a Bell/Naru-like unit? I like how they look like they’re about to pilot a mech together too. and Lemon/Miruki is aesthetically perfect (...for me to steal for Midnight Marchen), and also seems like it will actually make them both better people as opposed to Auru/Miruki, which ideally ends in them both being sent to jail

the spotlight on Hina vs Jennifer is intriguing too. more Hina focus good

we can see a little more of Jennifer’s partner too. her coord is v similar to Myam’s...

Auru coming out w data that proves friendship is inefficient. hard to argue w that

is this the first time I’ve seen wikipedia in anime? probably not. but def first for priseries

it’s extremely funny how they didn’t animate them jumping off the broom into the window. the combo of too much for the budget & leaving it up to our imagination

Minori sounds just like one of Sayonara Ponytail’s singers (a statement that means nothing to anyone else). the beginning of the song itself sounds a lot like something off their なんだかキミが恋しくて album (another statement that means nothing to anyone else) though it’s different after that... anyway I like it a lot, like every other primagi song.

not so excited abt Electro Remix personally (love cyber but hate athletic)... I do really like how the illusion reminds me of my fav prism jumps, ✨Kirakira Turntable✨ + 🌃Watashi no Meruhen Dream City🌃!! but the stuff she says in it feels like word salad, moreso than in other illusions

ever since watching this, the only thing I’ve been able to think abt is how will Matsuri’s parents be able to manage the expenses of suddenly having not one but two freeloaders there. like I want to be interested in the plot but all I can think about is the household budgeting. this is not a joke, I cannot stop thinking about it.

the ed!!!! Carron and Chimumu get to sing too now!! they sound so good. I wonder if the mecha maji dancers are going to change each week. I guess I’ll find out v soon

arcane thoughts

as usual, putting things down for posterity so i dont forget my fresh impressions! [spoilers]

i’ve watched the show twice in the last ~week and i love it!

didn’t rly know anything going in (apart from hearing it was good) but what i didn’t expect is that it would fulfil one of my deepest narrative kinks: the intense, fucked up, tragic (found)family stuff here is my bread, butter, juice & jam!! vi & jinx, vi & vander (😖😖 i found them the immediate emotional core pre-timeskip), jinx & silco (😖😖😖!!!!!), vander & silco, it’s a LOT. the angst, the difficult loyalties, the being each other’s achilles heels of it all. front-and-center family dynamics in spec-fic are always a lance to my heart and few things have scratched this itch so good. out of a strong ensemble cast where i like everyone i’d prob pick those characters as my fav for this reason

jinx shouldn’t work as well as she does bc girl!joker isn’t usually my vibe wrt character types but the groundwork is solid, there’s much more going on than those aesthetics & her being ~teehee crazy! vi was my early fave (kids who act like adults are just ugh… the responsibility she felt not just for the siblings but also vander like. i cant think about it tbh), and maybe i’m still dean winchester-pilled but the eldest child x bruiser combo is simply elite, stacking that temperament over that backstory. kinda love how woobifiable they both are yes i will put them in a jar. the contrast between their trauma is compelling—jinx is erratic & indulgent, and frayed by silco’s influence, while vi clearly represses out of a sense of guilt/responsibility and prison survival mode. and then with all these divergences theyre just talking over each other, even tho they sort of want the same thing they dont know how to get there! irreparable (?) sibling drama! abandonment drama! knife and fork please!! (sidenote after wading into fandom a bit, im truly ecstatic they made complicated & mutually raw family dynamics the show’s centre, even tho it’s predictably not that legible to Fandom and its ‘ship/stan or bust’ orientation)

i think part 1 was the strongest — the whole show is tight but the later parts, as more of a setup for the future, don’t have a bow around them in the same way

ep 3 specifically was where i became thoroughly engaged, it’s like this masterful Greek Tragedy conga, definitely sth i’ll return to when i want to be emotionally hollowed out. just writing this makes me wanna go back

mel is STUNNING, maybe the most aesthetically pleasing character design i’ve ever seen. saw a pic of her before i knew the show and i was like 😩😩😩. the gold accents, arm/thigh braces, goooorgeous. i didn’t find her as interesting until the stuff with her mum came in, but rewatching in that light rly endeared me. looking forward to how she squares what happens at the end of s1 with her anti-war convictions (if she survives). also would like to know more about what her brother was like?

deeply intrigued by what viktor’s Final Form will look like, he feels like a little gnaw on my heart when i think about the show. a quietly magnetic understated character. viktor and mel doing a lot of legwork in dragging jayce into relevance for me. solid ot3 potential there, but i also dig the two jayce pairings (the fact that i think he and mel have basically no chemistry but it’s still cute lol) jayce is cute tbh! and there’s that dash of overreach to all three that i adore, good foils

he talks shit but heimerdinger getting kicked off the council and scurrying off destroyed me, whyyy did they make him look like the devastating combo of old man + babie

plotwise, much to consider & my thoughts congealed better on rewatch- the class warfare plotline could go well, fingers are crossed. it’d be cool to see the piltover charas that are being positioned as heroes like jayce and caitlyn have their moral frameworks blown open and excavated more (bc there’s a point where the good cop naivete becomes odd/grating in smart grownup characters no matter how well intentioned). ensure the inequality, corruption etc is a character motive rather than an overly accentuated but ultimately incidental detail (im looking darkly at lok s1). basically ig i hope the show knows it hasnt set up a both-sides situation in its deep, sustained worldbuilding even if a few enforcers got blown up. likewise really hope they don’t file off the chip on vi’s shoulder just bc she’s working with piltover and jinx made a mess

one thing i had a little trouble with was silco’s motivations—if he wanted justice for the undercity then why the drug kingpin stuff that laid it low? i guess he’s pretty fucked up and the profit + power motive can definitely coexist with high ideals esp in a brutal survival context but now he’s gone i’m excited to see how the undercity charas negotiate their future, amongst themselves even more so than with piltover. also when he went to vander’s statue after the parley w jayce and drew that dad/daughter parallel hurgleee

sevika. she could be such a good anti-hero! im not usually a villain person but tbh no one really read as a villain. i wonder what underlied her striking loyalty and how she’ll configure her place w/o silco, and yeah better articulation of the zaunites’ motivations🙏🏽

caitlyn/vi: good!! a normally paced gay ship comfortably nestled between ship tease and canon. the class dynamic they keep gesturing to is very tasty (the scene in the rain?? bollywood!) hope there’s more angst before it goes Canon canon— the ship has a lovely crackle to it and would be well served by a fuller contention w their differences (which are big + interesting even if theyve become close in a war-bond/chemistry way. otherwise yeah might feel like a disservice to the charas if swept under for ship preservation)

i neeeeed more ekko (and the firelights) loved their whole setup! no punk like solarpunk. wish we saw him with jinx more—would have made their charged reunion mega effective if we saw him with her as a kid the way we saw him with vi

the quality and density of the writing for such a short show bodes well. they’re juggling a lot very deftly so happy to give the benefit of the doubt wrt any nitpicks/worries. the characters all feel like dimensional and nuanced manifestations of their archetypes, in a way that makes me wanna keep a permanent distance from fanon bc i know how it goes there

the two vi/sevika fights 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. the first time in my life that ive felt like an action fan. (also is there #content of them?? asking for a whore)

the pov shot of mel leaning in to kiss jayce is theee funniest thing ever, idk why i find them so funny (affectionate). that pov shot of vi when caitlyn strokes her cheek makes me want to kiss the animators’ feeeeet

whole show makes me wanna kiss the artists’ feet tbh. you can tell they got to express themselves, and all the stylistic stuff is super cool—rly works and the visual intensity didn’t put me off even tho it’s something i can find very overstimulating in the wrong show. it recalls spiderverse very strongly. i want to watch it on like a home cinema screen (rich people hmu). the gestures are so expressive and subtle in a way i often miss when watching animation (coming to cartoons from live action, i admit that ive never rly been convinced that cartoon charas can have a physical- not just textual- chemistry). this feels like the best of both worlds but it’s actually only animation. masterful

soundtrack slaps. the songs are used to great tonal effect. that sequence to ‘our love’ when the enforcers are coming in and vi’s going to give herself up was excellent and caused stirrings even when i had barely any attachment to the charas. the show is so cinematic. also i highly dont recommend carefully listening to the sting song in ep9 and thinking about the abandonment drama.

grateful that it has really lit my fire as a fan!! it’s been a few years since i felt so engaged with sth that actually feels like a world, and not just for one or two aspects of it. i was honestly almost certain that i had just aged out of that kind of hyperfixation-excitement. very happy :D

Muichiro : he probably would be uninterested at first. He's more to first person shooting game or anything other than this concept of farming or investing. So that's why when he saw yuichirou banging his fist on his desk, trying to get his fav character, he would simply just watch

His first ten pulls on the game brings out a light we all want to see

Apparently, it was one of the luckiest wish yuichiro had ever seen so far

It took the word "play together" to get muichiro down on his knee for that game. Usually the idea of playing with your friends is not that interesting. So when tanjiro said that, you bet he's going to play it

Extremely lucky it's not even real. He got a five star on the beginner's banner

Fast farming. He probably will complete all the quest and become an endgame player within one month

He's really good with whatever he's doing. Attack combo, dodging, elemental reaction and all sorts of stuff. If he invest more of his time on artifacts, he would probably even one shot it!!

Kyojuro : he wouldnt even know the existence of this game. Well, he took a glimpse of it one day and boom, heart stolen. Maybe it was the fiery burning passion in bennett that made him play the game.

Kyojuro's the type of player to read and pay attention to every single lore of his fav character. Bennett, oh my how he wish he could've had bennett in his team. Every wishes he made would make him a c6 bennett main if only barbara wont stop coming home

The highest con of bennett he had ever gotten is probably c1. One day the paimon's bargain shop offered bennett as their monthly character. Kyojuro had never been so excited over a game before. He usually perks up over academics and not this kind of thing. But it's bennett, the character he admires the most.

Unfortunately he couldnt get it due to low currency. He had never feel so sad in his life.

"I shall not give up. Dont worry, i will be a c6 bennett main!!!"

He will be a c6 bennett haver!!

Type of player :

Carefully reads every stories and listens to their lines attentively. He finds it amazing how the company spent their everything on this game. It amazes him. From the stories, lores and lines, he truly appreciates it.

Balance his team pretty well. He mains bennett so he doesnt need that much of a healer in his team.

Enjoys bennett's hangout very much!! He tried to not get him killed by the dungeon's trap but ended up having to sacrifice him which ultimately ends the route. He had never felt so down and guilty before.

Not much of a damage dealer. He prefers to play it in normal mode and doesnt care that much about one shotting monster.

He feeds his character three meals a day!! If only there's a sleep option, he would be sending bennett to sleep first before the rest.

Everyone loves his teapot

Shinobu : found the game while she's scrolling through the app store out of boredom. Initially she played it on her phone but due to the fps and a really bad ping, so bad that douma wouldnt find her interesting anymore, she finally downloaded the game on her pc where things has starting to get real

"Ara, shinobu chan, it's lunch time already. Come downstairs please,"

"Sis give me five more minutes, JUST FIVE PLEASE I NEED TO KICK CHILDE's ASS,"

"he's not going anywhere sweetie,"

She got lucky on the beginner's banner too and pulled a 5 star along with bennett and noelle. Who's the 5 star? Diluc Ragnvindr in all of his glory. Shinobu benched him sadly. She prefers sword over any other weapon

"I mean he's cool i guess but i just really dont get that 'WOAHHH COOL' vibe from him you know?"

"then give your diluc to me! I really want him so bad shinobu chan!"

Deep sighs "yeah sure. You can have my c2 diluc mitsuri..."

Loses 50/50 to diluc everytime everyone would think she either is lucky or cursed by the amount of that man greeting him on the screen. She still bench him though, sadly

Type of player :

Suffers a lot in the abyss because she just want the primos which is a valid reason to do because that's the only thing that keeps her going

She's a sword character main. She'll properly build every character as either support or dps. The support would be kaeya and bennett, and her main dps ayaka

Honestly at some point she wanted to quit the game because of how tiring it is but then inazuma came out

Resin = 160/160 happens once in a blue moon

Sanemi : dude probably know the game through obanai. He watched the latter play and finds it interesting on how high the numbers he dealt. He loves challenges so a game like genshin impact would probably satisfy his need.

"That loser giyuu is also playing the game,"

Sanemi's a meta but a mediocre one. He's meta but he doesnt show it that much. Probably buys welkin once in every three months or when he really needs it same goes with battle pass too. Honestly, he really just use his money when he really needs something

"But the next banner is zhongli's,"

My man cant dodge after he got zhongli. Its very painful because he used to studies the enemies movement in the early game so that he can utilizes it on the team but zhongli's shield is so tank he forgot that dodging exists

"Im gonna kill you and you and you hhahaahhaah just you wait im gonna shred all of yo- oh shit zhongli's shield. puT IT BACK PUT IT BACK ON,"

That one event where zhongli's shield plays an important role in the domain? Yeah, he felt like a god at that time. Even got his c2 on his rerun. Sanemi just really like zhongli because it kinda reminds him of himejima. Calm and wise and strong too. He looks up on that kind of person

"Zhongli sama, im in debt for all of your hard work protecting my team," bows and wipes tears

Type of player :

Spends a little money on the game to get what he wants

Is that one player that has hoards of food but doesnt even use it

Compare to kyojuro, he doesnt even touch the teapot because he finds it ridiculous and bothersome to create and design everything in it

Loves one shotting bosses and compares it to giyuu. He ask for advices from obanai regarding team build supports and stuffs

Doesnt do character's story quest. The key is full every single time. He unlocks it but leaves the quest like that.

"Ah shit, i accidentally activate the quest,"

His friend list only has obanai in it. Whenever people sent him friend request, he wouldnt hesitate, more like wouldnt care to accept it

They either have to coop in obanai's world or his world and after that, unfriend immediately

Says thank you after coop because he has manners and then completely disappears

"Zhongli main forever,"

Tengen : played since 1.0 this madlad has been staying loyal to the game ever since. Quite huge amount of money he spend on this game to be honest but he never gets broke by it. You can see his regular donation to the game by purchasing welkin and battle pass and some genesis crystal too. He's loaded with money, he didnt know what to do with it.

Uzui also plays honkai impact and guns girl Z so when he saw the unknown god at the intro , he was not surprised.

"Oh we have to pick between the siblings? Cool cool co- oh hi kiana,"

Although he is a loyal fan to MihoYo games, he lost his composure when he saw the 1st genshin anniversary reward because what was that. Imagine getting billions of money and they give us this? Tengen cant believe this shit

In need of mona. He needs mona so bad he literally spent his money on standard banner to get mona but always ends up with qiqi. Not that he's complaining but he just wants the astrologist to complete the support team

Tengen sees potential in every character. Everyone has their weakness and strength so when kokomi comes out, he diss her at first but then realize maybe its a new way for a character. Adds the uniqueness if he may say so.

Spoils the storylines, lores, leaks A LOT THE REST HAVE TO BLOCK HIM ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Speed runs the game and has become an endgame player ever since but he still does his daily commission and helps people with domains and stuffs

R5 every battle pass weapon

Fights azhdaha for fun and to test out his characters rather than ruin guards and stuff

Mona wanter

Puts traveller as the pfp and doesnt display any showcase of his characters and namecards. You can only see his achievements and spiral abyss ( 12-3 ). Says its for fun and mystery

Throws a lot of pickup lines and roleplays a lot. Spams your chatbox messages with stickers and censored stuffs

Probably steals your ores and exotic things like violetgrass, qingxin and silk flowers

Screams in the chatbox whenever he saw Mona until Kyojuro had to calm him down

Changes signature every single time and sometimes put spoilers in it

In every survey he would complain "MihoYo where the fuck is my Mona,"

Hey Nox! I have definitely been Winterhawk focused lately! These two lovelies are still demanding I write them this week so apparently my muses are stuck on them. However...

Roommates/circus: This one I am picking Amerihawk. Steve moved out to Vegas when Bucky joins the military because he desperately needs a change of scenery. He found a roommate ad on Craigslist and figured "why not?" So graphic design and marketing double major college student Steve ends up rooming with a recently settled into a stationary Cirque de Soleil job Clint. Their first meeting is definitely when Clint was running late to meet Steve at the apartment and he is in the tightest leggings Steve has ever seen on a guy and a crop top because Clint can and will. Its a whole lot of domestic fluff- Steve learning how to cook because Clint swears the guy is going to starve, hanging pictures together, determining just how many blankets and pillows are too many blankets and pillows. And slowly, Steve doesn't resent Bucky leaving him because he has finally found someone who understands him like Bucky used to. And because I totally love you..... Circus/hospital worker: For this one I am going with Winterhawk. There is something about nurse Bucky that I am digging lately (he would be good at it, okay? yes he can have resting bitch face to the moon, but he deeply cares about people and only wants to put positive vibes out into the universe). I'm picking a side order of blind date for this one. Bucky and Clint meeting through a blind date because their best friends think they would be perfect for each other. Again, it works better if Clint had taken up a contract job with a stationary circus, at least for the time being. And while the date goes well, Bucky is worried that Clint won't take the relationship seriously, thinks the guy will just clown around (yes that pun is intended and I will not take it back). That is until Steve convinces Bucky to go to one of Clint's shows. And he is mesmerized, and realizes that it takes a lot more dedication than what Bucky initially thought in order to do what Clint does. This will be so domestic and tooth rotting sweet with a dash of hurt/comfort.

Hi guys,

Today we are going to be chatting about the Mac Studio Fix collection. Over the last two months you may have seen me mention a few M.A.C products here and there so I decided it was time to chat about the Studio Fix collection. If you’re not familiar the Studio Fix collection is majority face base products and one of M.A.C’s most famous face base collection. From the collection I have concealer, foundation, powder and setting spray which I have been using for a while now. I’m sure there’s more products in the range but I’ve just picked bits I would genuinely use to build my base.

So the first product I picked up to try out was the MAC Studio Finish SP35 Concealer in shade NW10 , £17.50. This concealer is described as “ lightweight, creamy, smooth, long-wearing and water-resistant. It’s recommended to cover up dark circles and blemishes in this skin and contains Silica to help absorb oils and leave your skin covered for longer. It also has a spf of 35 which I think it a unique feature because you don’t hear a lot about spf included concealers. It feels really lightweight on the skin and yet offers a really good buildable coverage, the only thing that put me off trying this concealer before was the product is in a small pot so you basically have to use your fingers to apply the product which felt a little messy to me. But when I got the concealer I found the perfect sized make up brush to fit in pot to apply the product. Overall I like the concealer it doesn’t crease, gives really good coverage and genuinely lasts a long time in your face.

Next up we have the MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 ,£27 in shade NW10. This foundation is a natural matte finish with buildable coverage including spf15. The formula is longwearing and gives you a subtle matte finish. This foundation is great for all skin types but especially if you’re oily because the product absorbs oil as it’s applied giving you the perfect matte base. This foundation is buildable to give you a medium to full coverage finish and I must say this foundation is the easiest formula I’ve ever used to build coverage, some foundations leave you looking cakey when you try and build it but this one looks amazing. After I tried this foundation for the first time I was so annoyed with myself that it took me this long to try it. This product is easily one of MACs most iconic products and the shade match is probably my most accurate match ever and considering how pale I am that truly is a miracle.

The third product we have and argueably my most used is the MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation , £27 in the shade NW10. This product is a powder and foundation in one that “combines good coverage with ease of application”. This powder creates a matte finish in your face absorbing oils and leaving your face with a smooth finish. This powder can be used as a foundation when you want a lightweight foundation that still offers you great coverage or you can use it to set your liquid foundation and concealer to get even more coverage. This powder has been designed to feel so lightweight on the skin so your skin can still breathe and not be caked with product if you use it to build up your look. I use this product the most out of all the products in this post, I use it to set my foundation or touch up my makeup at work and I sometimes just use the powder itself to give my skin a little coverage on a day when I don’t want to wear a lot of products on my skin. Definitely one of my favs from this collection for sure.

Lastly we have MAC Fix+ Mattifying Setting Spray, £21.00. This setting spray in a new version of the famous spray when it leaves you with a matte finish. This pray not only controls shine and oil on your face but it also refreshes the skin. The setting spray formula contains powders, silica and other oil-absorbing agents to help set makeup, rebalance and mattify skin. This setting spray is by far the most reliable I’ve ever used it genuinely keeps me skin a lot matter for longer and since I’m combo skin that is a miracle in itself. I’ve used this spray before going work, concerts, hot summer days and it genuinely works amazingly. Before the mattify version came out I used the original version but I much prefer this version and works so much better for my skin.

KH3 First Impression and Complete Thoughts

BACKGROUND: i've played kh1, com, kh2, bbs, 2.8, and a bit of khux. i've watched coded and 3d on yt, so i know the story relatively well. this is an impression of my first playthrough. i did my run on standard mode and watched the secret ending on yt. i mostly did this for story, so this will have my initial impressions based on my run that will not cover extra content like the phone mini games and cooking. my opinions are subjected to change if i ever do any later playthroughs. pls, feel free to disagree w/ me.

!!! WARNING: THERE WILL BE A LOT OF STORY SPOILERS!!!

AUDIO:

Music: utada is queen!!! that opening song!!! also i kept noticing how lit the songs are in each world esp frozen??? and aqua's. worth a replay just for the soundtrack alone.

Voice Acting: everyone sounded great for the most part. sora’s va have certainly improved and sounds less strained. his vanitas voice has suffered significantly though lolololol. i think i read that someone called it a wannabe dark knight voice? the organization sounded incredible, w/ my fav being xemnas, marluxia, and larxene. the disney and pixar va’s are incredible w/ my fav probably being randall in monster’s inc.

some ppl did not get vas like xaldin and laxeaus. and phil in hercules. which were all very disappointing bc in the scenes that they were in, they would just stand around woodenly, and it’s very noticeable.

VISUALS:

mostly a+. environments are beautiful. water and frost textures are amazing!!! you can really feel that waterga and blizzaga. fur textures in monster's inc. could use some work. little details like the sails moving in potc rly make the worlds come alive. this could be a me prob, but environments in certain worlds make it very hard to see map markers, treasure chests, and disney emblems (which are supposed to be hard to find, but still). mostly in tangled.

strangely enough, this is the only game where i prefer in game graphics to cgi. it's already highly expressive and there's something creepy and uncanny about the cgi esp in the final fight. and it's mostly bc sora's thin chapped lips throughout the entire game suddenly becomes full.

DESIGNS:

i don't love everyone's outfit or sora's outfit changes in this game besides toy story. this is something i alrdy knew going in, but i've always felt like the outfits in kh1 and 2 rly suited each of the character's personalities. and this is not just destiny trio but even chars like roxas, the twilight town kids and the hollow bastion crew. the move towards a uniformed look makes no sense to me like is it to unify the key bearers as one force against the organization? i could understand why destiny trio was wearing plaid but why the twilight town kids also? by the end of the game, almost everyone was wearing black and it's just boring to me. like there's a right way to do uniform while retaining characters' individual looks, and that's the wayfinder trio in bbs. in this game, not so much.

an aside, but i'm sort of disappointed in the hud moving to 3d too. the 2d portraits have always been part of kh so it's kinda a bum to see it go away.

i don't love the lvl designs but it might also be due to a narrative and pacing issue that i'll expand on. any case, vertical maps are a challenge to figure out. i don't consider myself bad at directions but there are so many moments, esp in hercules and tangled where i would be like where the heck do i go next (and i have the map) only for me to look up and find a shotlock teleport point (and this isn't so much a thing that heightens the difficulty but a time waster).

lvls and bosses in previous kh games have always been known for their gimmicks and mechanics, but in this game particularly i found it to be more tedious? and this mostly applies to frozen: who the fuck designed frozen? who the fuck thought it's a good lvl design to have sora climb a mountain, get kick off it twice, and climb it again as good lvl design? who?

all the disney bosses started blending together for me bc they're literally all giant monsters and rly easy. i think the mistake here is the fact that the disney worlds are put back to back whereas in kh1/2/bbs you have the interruption of original worlds and an actually playable important parts to the main story, in this game all the important storyline in radiant garden are locked in cutscenes interspersed throughout the game between finishing disney worlds.

a lot of ppl might disagree w this, but i miss the cinematic reaction commands and limit attacks. we still have them but i find them to be on a much smaller scale in the form of drive finishers and situation commands, but i find them to be less imaginative in kh3 in order to be less """"disruptive""" to the gameplay. i've always found cinematics charming in previous games as a way to show sora interacting with his party members during combat. little things like beast putting a hand on sora's shoulder, aladdin leaning on him, or riku bumping his fist have a way of making the friendships he forms feel organic. outside of link commands/ summons, in this game, he........just throws a lot of ppl around or is thrown around?

GAMEPLAY:

already sort of went through parts of it in the previous section, but overall combat was smooth. i love how mobile sora is in this game. the improvement to his running speed and addition of all the mobile skills like dodge roll, super slide, flow motion, blizzard skating, etc. makes combat feel fast paced and juking so easy.

magic is super improved on ever since 2.8 and feels satisfying to use esp bc i feel like ur given a lot more mp now and with the ability to save the last of your mana for cure, it feels like you're not always budgeting your magic.

underwater combat was smoother than i expected.

it's a mistake putting almost all the commands on the triangle button. there's so much options you can do in combat and you'd mean to activate one thing, but then an attraction flow comes out and you just want to die. it gets a bit easier as i went on and got more used to the controls, but in general, i still think it's a mistake to not to have an ability or something to disable certain features like in kh2 fm.

gummy ships continue to be a thing. why. i don’t like how i have to turn the camera myself now ;;;.

i'm not a speedrunner or anything, so i can't say too much else about fighting. the physical combos to me did feel like he was spinning a bit too much tho.

STORY: oh, fucking boy.

i'm not mad, i'm not disappointed, and i'm not even surprised. i already knew that post bbs, kh has already departed far from the franchise i loved as a kid and still today, at least story wise. but let's walk through it.

Disney Worlds: the disney worlds was literally a retelling of their movies. and unlike in kh2 and bbs, where visits to disney worlds were split into two parts, with the first part following the disney story and the second part being heavily tied to the main kh story and thus having original content, the disney worlds in kh3 only get one long visit. and the integration of kh into disney was just done so poorly. remember how kh villains used to kidnap princesses? remember how they used to actually conspire to take disney characters' hearts and turn them dark? remember, you know, when they were still evil and actually interfered with the worlds? in almost every world in kh3, an org member just comes says vague menacing things to sora, calls him stupid, and then leaves. yeah. and oh, maleficent and pete looks for a black box only to not find it, and leaves. AND THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE FOR THE REST OF THE GAME.

the pixar worlds + bh6 were the only ones with any actual new content and they feel so fresh. i esp loveeeeeeeed toy story omg. the script was so good, funny, and heartwarming. the pixar consultants should have helped kh all the way tbh.

like previous games, there's an attempt for each disney world to thematically tie into the main kh story. in this game, it was as heavy handed as ever, probably even more so.

Original Worlds: onto the meat of kh, the main story was rushed up until the end. you have a slew of disney worlds, then bam, they slam you with all the human bosses and the important story stuff.

the ‘awakening’ of roxas, xion, and ventus were very rushed. you literally have one moment they’re no there then two seconds of white screen and all of a sudden they’re there.

there’s a shit ton of shoehorned character redemption arcs: vexen, demyx, saix, eraqus, xehanort, xemnas, ansem. all were done either offscreen or by some miracle, they reached an epiphany after sora beat his keyblade into their heads.

the only death scene that i actually liked, that a lot of ppl complained about, was vanitas bc yes, although i thought his character had so much potential, it was at least a consistent and sympathetic death. bless him, born a villain die a villain. same with xemnas bc i loved his last speech.

xehanort was a shitty villain through and through. no one understood his motivation; it’s like nomura took a page from thanos’ guide of how to write villains, gave him some stupid ass goal to have a keyblade war to restart the world, and then just have him...get everything he wanted? his estranged friend comes back in ghost form for whatever reason and is just like ok we’re cool man even tho u took my student and indirectly murdered me and then gets taken up to heart heaven, like O K. and like what’s the most frustrating is that it’s implied they’re keeping him as a villain??? bc fucking ymx is like ooohh imma just go back to my own time via time travel. it’s too late for u sora hurdur.

and the younger members of the organization, the ones that we do know were in khux. we don’t get to know how they became nobodies and they don’t get a redemption??? really???

you can tell they tried, TRIED, hard to give everyone closure. and they miserably failed to close plot points. they actually opened more. who the fuck is the unnamed girl in lea and isa’s storyline? why the fuck did you mention her if you were going to play the pronoun game and not name her??? what the fuck was in the black box??? why are they looking for it when no one know what’s in it??? why the fuck was repliku inside of riku the whole fucking time??? why have org members be norted if they can still have agency and choose to betray xehanort??? why the fuck was BOTH sora and riku in different worlds in the secret ending????? ? ? ?

and tho i’m very glad that wayfinder and sea salt trios get their happy ending, the destiny trio had their characters assassinated. kairi was teased to become an independent character of her own and fight alongside sora, only to get shafted to become a damsel in distress, again, literally replaced by xion in one of the last battles, AND referred to as ‘motivation’ for sora by xehanort lol. sora, the guy who’s always going my friends are my power, ONLY grieves about losing kairi, accrediting all of his strength ONLY TO HER. riku, who spent the first game desperately trying to get kairi’s heart back, and who protected her from saix in the second, suddenly doesn’t give a shit about her and is just there as sora’s moral support. it’s so frustrating that nomura has the audacity to say that this series is primarily about friendship and then pull this shit lol. it’s transparent.

CONCLUSION:

i think for me, the quintessential kh trilogy has always been kh1, com, and kh2. as far as i’m concerned, the story should have ended there for destiny trio. and it’s like nomura said, how he feels more sympathetic towards villains now, i think nomura’s ideas have outgrown his main character.

sora’s journey worked in 1, com, and 2 because he had an overarching goal to find kairi and riku and return home. not everyone has to understand heartless vs. nobodies or dark vs. light but at least, anyone can understand the desperation of saving your friends. when that framework is taken away, sora’s goals and motivations become unclear; he’s a kid and has little reason to be caught up in xehanort’s plans, the keyblade war, or the organization’s agendas. and his failure to grow with the increasing complexity of the plot, to investigate for himself the bigger picture or even come into a similar realization of his own darkness/ balance like riku, makes him unfit; he’s a reactionary character instead of an active one. that’s why this game, being experienced from his point of view, felt mostly like a catch up to speed for sora and a set up to nomura’s next big thing instead of a genuine ending. i honestly don’t think nomura knows what to do with him and with kingdom hearts anymore.

kh3 is a game wrapped in nostalgia and promised something bigger than it could fulfill. and aside from better graphics and improved gameplay, the story wasn’t worth the wait.

I LOVE FROSLASS SO MUCH!!!!!! SHE IS ONE OF MY FAV POKEMON EVER!!!!! SHES JUS T SO PRETTY AND HVNDFHG I LOVE HER TYPING TOO…. ghost types are one of my two fav types!!!!! n ice types r super fancy too so ice/ghost is just!!! such a great combo. i just love her sm and ALSO!!!! platinum berlitz (a pokespe chara who is a…big comfort..) has a froslass and HNFG i would DIE for platz and all her pokemon.

HMM thats hard.. i was never particularly close to bug type pokemon bc im afraid of bugs irl but i do have some nostalgic choices!!!! dustox and beautifly were on my original rse team and my they were both so precious to me.. theyre the final evolutions of the same pokemon and in the pokemon anime theres a whole thing about how may (the region protag) and jessie (team rocket grunt!!) who compete in contests both caught a wurmple and they later evolved to dif pokemon!! they went against each other in contests n idk it was nice.. i love may and i love jessie and hoenn is a big comfort region to me.. vhajbvfa i cried so many times while playing oras i just. love it sm. buterfree is also v precious to me tho!!!! im kin w yellow (pokespe) and butterfree is one of her original pkmn!!!! i always had a v close bond to my pkmn so vhdnhjbg i loved (and still love!!!) my team sm… OH or mayb like!!!! shuckle. idk shuckle isnt a nostalgic choice i just love their design sm. a rock w noodles. noodle rock. tiny noodle. i lov them. n they seem so nice.. i wanna hug a shuckle and play w them and be their friend!!!!! they look like a great partner.. ig if i had to choose id say either shuckle or the wurmple evolutionary line!!!

MM thats hard too cries. i know i said im afraid of bugs irl but that doesnt mean i dont like them!! i love bugs a bunch and the same goes for bug type pokemon.. theyre so small and so strong and so precious and im just ghnGHg so proud of them all. i love them. if i had to choose mayb id say metapod? not bc i dislike them but just bc they always gave me a lot of trouble when i was clearing viridian forest in the kanto games!!! vhdjabvf whenever metapod used harden id just……….die a lil inside. i love metapods tho n metapods r part of the butterfree evolutionary line so!!! a special place in my heart for them. i just didnt like running into them ahvabfjvd esp since viridian forest is at the start of the game n my starter didnt know many elemental attacks.. mostly physical ones n that makes it hard when ur against a pkmn that raises its defense stat constantly!!!! i remember once i went against this trainer who ALWAYS raised their pokemons evasion stat and it made me SO MAD. i NEVER EVER hit an attack and it made me want to close the game and restart. i hate stat changes HVJBFv im a big attacker type of trainer..

i think i finally figured out the birthchart thing?? really cool and very defining for a lot of elements of character design. i'm a aquarius sun, scorpio moon, and taurus rising -- i'm ready to be judged - sirius anon

right!! it’s like a main priority for me in character building! ohoooo that combo is very interesting, because i feel like aquarius and scorpio are not really compatible, in that aquarius influence can make you very distant and unwilling to address your emotions and their importance, but your moon (which controls your emotions) is SO preoccupied with exactly that, which might exacerbate that scorpio intensity because you feel that constant pull between hiding and revealing your true emotions. but then taurus rising kind of balances it out and makes you at least appear to be level headed? so even if you’re suffering on the inside at least people think u got it all together.

hello finally i am answering your question! sorry i just get overwhelmed when i get a lot of these lmao this is an awesome combo!!! sag + libra is always so good and then aries + libra are opposites/sister signs which makes for an interesting dichotomy. i’m actually an aries sun/sag moon as well, so i know this combo very well lmao. you might come off as very calm and appealing (dat libra charm tho) and then when people get closer to you you reveal your optimistic, perseverant and passionate nature. these signs are very harmonious together, you’re probably like the calmer version of me lmao. you might be pretty rational but then your sun makes you want to be more impulsive. it’s good to listen to it sometimes...but not all the time. aries is a child don’t trust him too much

Why I like them: raz is a cool kid, i think that he’s entertaining from the lets play i watched a few years ago and his psychic powers are neat!Why I don’t: his character design is cool but i dont particularly like drawing it the maybe 2 times that i have Favorite episode (scene if movie): i liked when he got to interact with his father in the meat hell circus (the real father, not the fake nightmare father)Favorite season/movie: i havent watched any lp of Rhombus of Ruin, so the first game i guessFavorite line: i dont remember enough of his lines to pick one!Favorite outfit: he looks better in his lil default outfit than he does in that Full Psychonaut uniform he was wearing at the very end of the game, tho its still cute OTP: i dont ship anything from psychonauts :0Brotp: idk, he seems pretty chummy w/most of the campers and adults who arent buttholes, raz is a friendly dude iircHead Canon: is it canon that raz’s family is romani or was that just something i assumed over time due to their traveling circus caravan + european names?? anyways if its not canon that’s my headcanon

Winning a challenge by SimGuru Kimmi =D On 25th of February, I did participate in a building challenge by SimGuruKimmi. Actually, I learned about the buildchallenge via xurbansims on youtube. She made an awesome restaurant so I thought I can do it too. Why not? Right? Even if I don’t win I will join for fun. So I did. Later I had doubts because, nah never ever I have a chance to win, there are so many incredible designs... But...

Yesterday I got a private message by SimGuruKimmi! Telling me that she loves my build and the airy second floor. I was OMG, OMG a SimGuru loves my build, yaaaay plus she told me that I won the raffle for the swag - I was like for real? Me? 0_0 speechless... =D.

Well then I got so many likes, congrats & new followers and requests for more pics and yay sure here it comes.

Ready to explore an industrial yet mediterian cool hangout for your next date, proposal, birthday party or any other purpose? Let’s enjoy first the exterior - made some shots at different times ;) I wanted simply to have a cozy, industrial, chilly & mediterian but still somewhat a bit posh seafood restaurant. So enjoy ;)

Find a jacket, blazer or even a bomber jacket to go with it. I’ve said it many times, but remember less is always more. You want to show a little bit, but not much to keep things classy yet sexy at the same time. Finally, jeans are always my go-to when styling pieces that are a bit more on the risky side. It ties everything together and makes the outfit look more easy going and it doesn’t look like you tried too hard. Pair the outfit with your favorite booties and you’re good to go!"
