my hc is that jon kept his long hair during s4 (then cut is off before they set off in s5) so you know martin was giving him every hairstyle imaginable when they were staying at the safehouse -- jon attempts to return the favor but alas..........

Research for an au fic I’m working on: how would Azula act and behave in a modern setting? And I don’t mean re-imagine her character within a modern context and stories. This isn’t Azula, but she’s an overachieving American high schooler with strict and overbearing parents, or Azula, but she’s the soon-to-be CEO of her father’s multinational conglomerate based in Japan or something. No, I mean how would Azula as she is in canon, Fire nation princess and all, act and behave if you simply just took her from her world and plopped her into [insert current year you’re reading this]?

Frankly, if you like classic literature and/or fairy tales (and speak well enough French), then this book is a Must. It collects four stories written by Henriette-Julie de Castelnau de Murat, one of the 17th century noble ladies who were writing fairy tales in France. They used those stories to engage with their lived realities, for example, speaking up against arrange marriages was a recurring theme.

Anyway, one of them was a lesbian. That is Madame de Murat. The stories in this book are not explicitly queer, for the obvious reason of being written in the 17TH CENTURY, but the subtext is definitely there, plus you get a biography of the author.

It is a short book, interesting read, and I love it SO MUCH to see one of the conteuses get some recognition. It is beyond time that we start reprinting the stories of these women.

OK Hinata fans, listen up...

I'm looking for a fan art of Hinata as the head of the Hyuga Clan. She's sitting dressed in a traditional kimono with her hair up with ornate hair pins. The post says that she would "lead the clain with compassion." There are no other characters in the fanart.

Does anyone know where it is? I've seen it this past month, but it's buried in my likes and I foolishly did not reblog it.
