Lake Hillier, Western Australia: Lake Hillier is a saline lake on the edge of Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago in the Goldfields-Esperance region, off the south coast of Western Australia. It is particularly notable for its pink colour. A long and thin shore divides the Southern Ocean from the lake. Lake Hillier is about 600 metres in length by about 250 m in width. The lake is surrounded by a rim of sand and a dense woodland of paperbark and eucalyptus trees with a narrow strip of sand dunes covered by vegetation separating its northern edge from the northern coast of Middle Island. There are only two more designs I've got planned for this set, which I'm tentatively calling the Destiny Set. I am so glad you all are enjoying these, they are giving me such a fun outlet/avoidance method lol. I have also for some reason decided I really want to represent as many magical creatures as I possibly can in these portraits, though I might do some dedicated creature pages later down the road, too. Anyway that means that most pages should come with a creature, which means I've spent quite a bit of time on the Merlin wiki rediscovering episodes and quests that I completely forgot about lol. So that's been a blast!

Sort of! I've drawn Kayla and co. cutting Apollo's hair and that one scene from THO where they all talk about him while he """sleeps""" and made a bunch of little sketches with each of his kids that I don't think I've ever posted and I never will

But was it him as a god? With all of his kids? Gracie, Gerry and Yan included? Hmmm don't think so, let's fix that <3

For week three of Stricklake month: Moonlight

This drawing took absolutely forever, since I'm going for a lineless art style now, but I really enjoyed the process!

Thought I'd do something more romantic with a forehead touch, and Trollhunter! Strickler seemed to fit, as Moonlight armour from the side novels was the only armour I hadn't drawn.

One of my favourite things to think about is adult Duchess and how unbelievably bittersweet she will feel once she has to stop dancing.

The best and luckiest ballet dancers in the world retire around their early 40s (and that’s only if they are very very lucky), with most of them retiring around their late 20s-early 30s.

She would be the first descendent of the swan princess to find herself unable to dance. She would be the first to undergo the chronic pain and muscle cramps that will lead her to abandon her biggest passion. I can’t help but imagine how, even if it will be painful to abandon the art she has perfected throughout her life, it will also be a symbol of longevity, something that will be hers purely. It’s a medal that tells the world “Look at me! I got my happily ever after!”
