College for me so far has been like. I'm an adult and the most independent I've ever been. I am basically a 12 year old boy. I don't want anyone to see me. I've started to hate eating alone. I'm happier than I ever could've been if I was still living with my parents. I'm in the worst mental state of my life. I miss my sister. I miss my old friends. I've only missed my parents once and it was when I was delirious with a high fever. I miss my therapist. I want things to go back to how they used to be. I want to keep moving forward and never look back. My social life is far better than it ever was in high school. I'm so, so terribly lonely.

My essay is a little over halfway done, but it's already after 1, ergo the paper is late, so instead of depriving myself of must needed rest after an exhausting week and fun but draining choir concert, I'm going to bed.

Today’s Vibe Check

Todays vibe is... bleh

kinda just sick in the gut because all I had for breakfast was my morning pills and a bottle of water

I drive between Massachusetts and New York with some frequency, and not too long ago Connecticut put up a sign on I-84 south welcoming people to the state, and declaring it the "basketball capital of the world". This seemed a weird statement, as the Boston Celtics have the most championship titles in the NBA, and Springfield MA is the birthplace of basketball and home to the hall of fame, but whatever.

Driving back from New York today I noticed the "pizza capital of the united states" sign, and realized they are picking fights on purpose.

Love the limbo period when I have first lesson where it's too early for me to head to lesson but if I left home any earlier I wouldn't have made it to college before my lesson started bc rush hour and parents dropping off kids to the many schools that I don't go to in my area so I just have to sit in the common area and stare judgementally at everyone else that comes into college

📑 exam szn diaries day 2

— studying family law and i don’t know how it’s gonna go just gonna wing it and pray for the best. it’s not like i haven’t studied it’s more to do with the material and how much i can remember for the life of me

— probably gonna pull an all nighter today so that means caffeine caffeine caffeine ☕️☕️☕️

The downside to my minor is that I gave to read the founding documents and all of the other essays people wrote about said documents (i.e. Federalist and Antifederalist papers) and doing so makes me feel dumb because I have to read them seven times just to understand what the heck they're saying.

And I know I'm not dumb, I know it's just the difference in dialect and formal vs. informal and the nature of language evolution. But not being able to comprehend what I'm reading the first or second time through is so irritating and discouraging.

Edit: So my minor became my second major and then my only major (I dropped the ed major because reasons) and then I graduated with a history degree but the point still stands. Historical political documents are still frustrating to decipher.
