They say that “Uneasy Lies the Head that Bears the Crown”, words I have so emptily read in my life as a student in what it seems like an eternity ago. Little did I know how deeply these words would affect my future life and much less had I known how uneasy lay the head that bore a different type of crown; the crown made of thorns and nails, elaborately made and adorned the head of guilty conscious and unbearable pain. Even less had I known how uneasy lay that head of my poor late husband, deeply into the phenomenal safety of his own chambers, under the thick cover of the night that drive us all to the false impression that we are isolated and alone. The least of all have I known the uneasy rest of that self-crowned by pain head; the way he slept lost in the world of sleep; seeing a mixture of dream and memory…

This story is somehow a sequel to Hidden Truth Prequel- The Peak of Madness and acts as a filler story between the prequel fic and the main storyline of the comics I am working on with my friend @yararts

Caleb: I know. That's why I called a taxi. If I had been sober, I would've driven.

Diego: Fucking idiot! Come back! Where are you going?

Diomedes: Dude! We were drinking in your house... are you that drunk?

Caleb: ...

Caleb, to the taxi driver: Sir, where am I going?

Diego,laughing: Fucking donkey! Give me the driver on the phone!

Dilla: Please tell me how on earth did this happen!? Diego: In my defense, I was left unsupervised Dilla: You had Caleb with you! Caleb: Well just in case it escaped you, I was left unsupervised too! Dilla: ...

Diego: *drunk* I don't give a shit about sin!

Caleb: *also drunk* Yeah, me neither! Fuck trigonometry!

Dilla: ...

Dilla: *sigh*

Caleb: *dead drunk on the phone* Help my brother was bitten by a wolf!

Dilla: Where?

Caleb: No, a normal wolf!

You're just exaggerating my friend really! ^^ It is always the little things that make the most difference!

Yeah arguably she is the only one for sure or if there was anyone else indeed she as at the center of action because of Caleb and all. So her own involvement to the movement was definitely giving her an extra dose of the danger in her job much more if compared to the other Tribals that never really went to real warfare and man their life was already dangerous enough! And for sure she left everything she knew, her routine, her lands and her people to join this dangerous and not to mention uncertain war and she met new people and new places and of course they both learnt from each other so much! GOSH I LOVE THESE TWO!

Indeed especially someone so renounced! That falling from grace was deadly for Assara which again I find it so ironic and sad that Assara turned TRULY violent (and that means a lot!) AFTER her exile! For real saying that it is sad or cruel doesn't stop her wrongs of course. Ultimately did exile help her character? No. Which again shows that the Tribes are not perfect either. Exile is not supposed to bring the people they voted as criminal or problematic back to the right path. Was to remove them out of their communities so that they wouldn't be a bother to their harmony (which is why it was one of the final solutions to them but still!). But absolutely she brought this upon herself in more ways than one but also the fact that she was deemed worthy of exile because of that violent outburst because arguably many people feared her as much as they admired her definitely they had their part of responsibility here but still! Man I couldn't have phrased it better!!!

Good evening) You and katerinaaqu very talented. I love your arts and galhots biography. Thank you so much) I have a question. We know that in the past Dilla protected Cornelia from Assara and won. Does Dilla stronger than Assara or they are equal? And if you have a time and opportunity could you draw Dilla and Assara tohether.(Sorry for mistakes. Not my first language)

Assara surpasses Dilla in brute strength and size, however Dilla accompanied Caleb and the rebels for years during the revolution against Phobos, and has gained real life experience in harsh warfare.

They are both highly skilled warriors and huntresses, however Assara can get carried away in her overconfidence and uncontrolled emotions.

So short answer, physically Assara is much stronger, but in general having in mind skill and experience, they can be considered to be at a similar level.

This crazy team walks into a bar and then that's it! The stock is finished! Hahaha!

Aldarn: Alright guys, if you had to take a shot for every bad decision you ever made in your life, how drunk would you be?

Dilla: I don't know...maybe a little tipsy?

Caleb: Drunk

Drake: Wasted

Diego: Dead

Oh my thank you so much! As always is great to hear your insights!

Gosh thanks! Hehehe as you know I have a soft spot for writing insane or extremely depressed characters (yeah doing good! XD) so of course I would want this to be as raw as possible to understand the character's psychological state and all! Absolutely! He definitely is getting eaten alive by guilt and all the things he not only regrets of doing but of the things he regrets NOT doing and yeah he is not either strong or capable of stopping! He thinks he came this far so that is the end for him!

Thank you so much! For real a part of his story is relying a lot on the fact that he brought this upon himself and his choices but the tragic part is how the choices were shaped by trauma and fear and despair which of course doesn't excuse his actions AT ALL but man one can feel sorry for him and the way life treated him and understand that so it is a sad cycle between him having to deal with his traumas and at the same time clearly making his choices which make him suffer! And man for real! He wanted to have so much and he felt that they were denying them from him and he finally in his madness committed crimes for it! I definitely feel for him but also I wanted to make sure that none of his torments from his action towards Caleb was "excusable" by any means!

Thank you so much! I wanted to convey the nightmare as some sort of a mix of his own life in one way! Aka the trauma (sadness, desperation, regrets) vs the actual criminal action (the way he sees himself as the "killer" of Caleb). In the memory of one of his many rock-bottoms he thinks that he should have been the one to take the hit for Caleb or be closer to the scene to protect him and asking for forgiveness on the fact that he couldn't protect him. And yeah the dream is basically his personal memory but mixed up with his emotions so that creates this result as well as his conscious deep down creates that image that he is the one that chokes and kills Caleb the way that all this plays out and all which is what I was going with and seemed a proper transition from one scene to the other.

Thank you! Yeah he wanted to stop his drinking problem or even hide it from all others but yeah he is way too into it and he is so desperate to finally rest and sleep that he will do anything for it. Yeah!!!! TT-TT That was the aim that yeah the true desire was for Caleb to be there with him; share it all together and be like the good old days (possibly more as well with more intimate emotions being shared given how Diego always locked the most intimate emotions and thoughts of his away, hiding a portion of them even from himself) and yeah unfortunately he seems to be trapped in this cycle for now...
