Did a series of illustrations of some of my favorite Pokemon Glitches in the first three gens! The Mew Glitch very nearly beat out Missing No., because that's actually my favorite Gen 1 glitch, but Missing No. is just so visually iconic, I had to lol

This took me 2 weeks or so!, anyway. just a featuring my coin case rival! .../Silver design!. i will totally redesign him when i draw him again but overall i am very happy how the painting turned out!.
#pokemon creepypasta#pokepasta#coin case rival#fanart#my art#artist on tumblr#creepypasta#in my head the other half of silver's face is a sort of one way mirror to the “shadow theater”. an actual gs glitch!. obviously i will be#running with it for my own story-telling purposes. as for context to the piece. what i had in mind was it taking place in my own au.#silver just hanging out on the ground at faux sunset while talking with jacob. he just said something dumb and silver is acting exasperated#about it. affectionately ofc. they are pals. but the end result feels far more desolate than what i had in mind. so who knows.

Visiting New Bark today to speak with Professor Elm about a Pokémon egg I’m getting delivered for one of my gym trainers. He handles these sorts of things. Saw a kid leave Elm’s lab, walk to the side of the building, listen to a cry on his pokedex and then pull a suitcase out of his bag and open it. Then he flew away on his Pidgeot. Kids are weird. But hey, I got the egg! It’s supposed to contain a Dhelmise. Those aren’t native to Johto, of course.

In Super Mario 64, every course that contains Red Coins contains exactly 8 of them. As such, it is not possible to see how the Red Coin counter reacts to any additional Red Coins.
If additional Red Coins are placed in an area, an unexpected result occurs. The ninth Red Coin makes a normally unseen number "9" appear; however, every Red Coin after that also counts as number 9.
It is notable that the expected results (seen in the vast majority of such cases where extraneous objects are placed in other games) would have been either stopping counting at 8, as no more numbers are needed during regular gameplay, or counting indefinitely (potentially becoming glitched at 10 due to not being able to display two-digit numbers).
Stopping counting at 9 implies some manner of failsafe preventing the counter from reaching double digits, though why the developers bothered with that failsafe instead of simply programming the counter to not go above 8 is unclear.

Wanted to put some coins into whole Romeo conversation,
Bassicaly I saw some people speaking of how in the world Romeo could lost his powers and in my personal opinion.. he didn't. He simply tricked us, Jesse and the player.
Let's put some logic here: there's no way someone as powerful as Admin would've just let a human, Jesse, wander around the Sunshine Institute without watching them. No way he wouldn't hear or see Jesse flying around with elytra. NO WAY he wouldn't put Xara in the freaking Bedrock cage.
So what? Imma about to tell you: he played it. All of it. Fred never created the gauntlet, Xara never left the institute, they never took his power away. From the very begginig and till the very end he was playing with us.
Let's say, for example, admins don't need a gauntlet to took each others powers. Then why would Fred create one? Well, maybe in case Romeo would took Xara's powers as well (which he did). But did he really expected Xara to go all the way through all the puzzles without Romeo noticing she's doing something strange? Nah, bro, I ain't belivieng it.
Plus, if Xara knew about gauntlet, why didn't she just teleported there to took it just in case Romeo would took her powers away, so she can use it the moment he'll do it?
And if Admins do need the gauntlet as well, it raises two questions:
How did they found out about this?
Why Romeo didn't destroy the gauntlet the moment he put Xara in Sunshine Institute?
Either way this whole "gauntlet" thing is too suspicious to be truth.
Sure we didn't forget Romeo didn't kill Jesse the moment he felt they are too dangerous for him. He IS the Admin. He can do whatever the heck he wants to. Unless.. it's all part of the plan.
You see, he surely got bored. From Xara's anger, from Institute, from just watching. So he decided to put up a little play. How could he throw away his past life in a beautiful way? Of course he needs a strong Hero to defeat him! That way it won't be embarassing! But.. no one can truly do this. He is the only Admin left and it's too risky to give Xara her powers back. So let's create a little story about the gauntlet and took World's most famous Hero: Jesse!
It's all simple, trully. Make Jesse angry, make them break the rules. Send them into Sunshine Instutite and let Xara activate alarm system, so they would knew about her. Put a bit more anger in them and their friends and leave to have a bit of fun pretending to be Jesse, while he learns the "story of the mystic gauntlet that Fred left".
Let them do all the funny puzzles, put a little show with glitching and stuff. Okay, now you are "defeated". Will they save you? Doesn't matter, you can teleport. Either way he gets out of there and what now? He can start all over agian. Maybe he'll go to portal Network to visit other worlds he had no access to. Maybe he'll find some new people to manipulate, it's always fun, right? Maybe Xara will stop being a bitch and will finally accept his friendship again!
Doesn't matter. He may seem deafeted, but in the very end he's always the winner. Admins can't loose. Real Admins can't loose.

Yet to get past 150, but I went back to hotel to see the changes. I'll post under read more in case people wanna look for themselves.
I don't know what you can set on fire. Not crucifix.

You can actually see the shadows of Figures teeth in its light.
I, er, accidentally bugged out leaving the library... there was no void or auto Figure kill. Figure just... ran in place, with no collision, so I couldn't get it to kill me. Had to get hide to do it. Revived to see what it would do an the animation was interrupted by glitch, who put me in 51.
Jeff! Now puts out stock as you enter! Rubs tentacles together. Does coin tricks. The radio changes to static noise when messed with and Jeff angrily hits it to get the jams back. When the tip jar is full, he throws it behind him and gets a new one. Infinite Jeff tipping???? Also waves goodbye when you leave :)

Hello! Do you have any suggestions for ttrpg that are like Control (video game)? I enjoy number crunching, and playbooks are a plus :D
THEME: Games inspired by CONTROL
Hello! I’m going to first reference to you one of the first posts I ever made, about Paranormal Agents. If you like playbooks, you’ll probably want to take a look at Against the Dark Conspiracy, but don’t sleep on External Containment Bureau! Not much of what’s in that post is big on math, but I don’t want to leave out any possible options. Now, on to some more recommendations.
In Case of An Emergency, by boyproblems.
You work at foundation., a global corporation known for its cutting edge inventions and morally dubious treatment of its labour force. It stays at the top of its field by exploiting the paranormal and the metaphysical. Due to an "incident", you are now trapped inside. The glitch causes you and a group of your co-workers to be tasked by a group known as THE SHAREHOLDERS to fix what has broken, and solve THE EMERGENCY.
The Head Office is an ever-shifting office complex that threatens to trap your intrepid group within its labyrinthine walls. Fable and superstition come alive and threaten your very life. Gain new abilities (ABSTRACTIONS) through exposure to the powers that lie beyond, investigate the truth behind foundation., traverse a place where new science is discovered daily, and cut through bureaucratic and literal binding red tape to escape and survive.
This is a one-shot game, but that doesn’t mean that your character can’t gain new powers throughout the course of play. In Case of Emergency is directly inspired by CONTROL, so theme-wise we’re definitely in the right territory. It doesn’t look like it has playbooks though, which is a bummer - in almost every other aspect I think it’s what you’re looking for!
Agents of the O.D.D., by Jason Tocci.
Agents of the O.D.D. is a tabletop roleplaying game of conscripted cryptids, shaky psychics, burned spies, and other investigators of the paranormal. Based on the rules from Into the Odd and Electric Bastionland, and inspired by series like Hellboy, Planetary, and The Laundry Files.
Agents of the O.D.D. doesn’t necessarily have playbooks, but it does have player archetypes. During character creation, you roll a d100 and take the result from a hefty list of archetypes. These will give you one or more special moves, companions, and/or pieces of equipment. And equipment is a really big thing in this game - there’a at least 6 pages in this 24-page game dedicated to equipment alone. This might be because Agents of the O.D.D. is built off of Into the Odd and Electric Bastionland, which are both minimalist and focus on dungeon-delving.
Now that I think of it, exploring a place that is abnormal and haunted is likely very similar to engaging in a dungeon-crawl, so expect a game like this to point you to your inventory when it comes to solving problems - like talking to extraterrestrials, or fighting against hostile cryptids. You’re also going to be tracking your gear, so if you like inventory-keeping this game is for you.
Making Change, by Beth and Angel Make Games.
Researchers at The Observatory study all sorts of objects that seem ordinary but are gifted with a special power. One of these objects is a coin. However, when the senior researcher went to start testing it, it… convinced them to "liberate" it. Surveillance shows the researcher was speaking to something or someone —presumably, the coin— and the researcher quickly went from arguing to utterly submitting to the coin.
This is an adventure made for the CoinSides Jam of 2023, which had the stipulation that the adventure have a coin as a central theme. This adventure invokes the coin with some kind of intelligence, as it has the ability to affect the desires and emotions of people around it. Because the adventure is system-agnostic, it’s meant to work with a number of different systems, but I would recommend using games that are good for detective stories or modern horror, or even something like External Containment Bureau.
You Can Check Out Anytime You Like, But You Can Never Leave, by Marn S.
You Can Check Out Any Time You Like, But You Can Never Leave is a game for 3+ people, and a surreal horror-flavored hack of Mobile Frame Zero: Firebrands by Meguey & Vincent Baker. It is also a loving homage to The Shining, NanQuest, and the songs of the 70s and 80.
Play as a Guest, Staff member, or living Anomaly at the Hotel California, the first and only hotel to exist outside of time and space! Create messy entanglements — ally with monsters, or backstab your friends! Inject the surreal and horrific into everyday life! Solve mysteries! Have strange dreams! Chase someone with a knife! Burn it all to the ground!
The setting for this game takes place in a hotel rather than The Oldest House (or something like it) but what makes it interesting is that it’s a hack of Firebrands. This means that rather than following an adventure seed like a traditional RPG, you’ll be setting up and playing through various scenes in the form of mini-games. The creator has also published Such A Lovely Place, a supplement with five extra mini-games to incorporate into your eerie stay at Hotel California. There might be math here but if there is it’s probably only in a mini-game or two.
FIST, by CLAYMORE.
FIST: Ultra Edition is a tabletop roleplaying game about paranormal mercenaries doing the tough jobs no one else can. In the game, you belong to a legendary rogue mercenary unit called FIST. You are a soldier of fortune who doesn’t fit into modern society. You are a disposable gun for hire, caught up in the death and destruction of pointless proxy wars and oppressive establishments. You may also be someone who can turn into a ghost or control bees with your mind.
FIST focuses on action and combat, but specifically against the paranormal. You aren’t regular soldiers, not by a long-shot. The time period is during the Cold War: there are tensions that will affect your missions outside of simply what you’re hunting. The combat is meant to be brutal, the missions highly tactical, and the character builds are modular (so there might be some number crunching). No playbooks here, I’m afraid, but if you want the gritty action that keeps you on your toes in CONTROL, you might want to check out FIST, especially since it’s on Kickstarter right now! (Ending soon!)
THE COMPANY, by Mega_Corp.
The Company is a survival horror game centered around corporate emergency response teams and the aftermath of the situations they are assigned to deal with. Players take on the roles of Employees assigned to response teams that quickly find themselves in over their heads with one player facilitating play as the Game Manager.
Now this looks like a game with playbooks. At the beginning, your character chooses one of five Careers, each of which come with special Perks, pre-selected skills, a personal item random table, and some jobs and goals to focus your character. The game itself ins’t terribly long, but there’s enough lore to establish how the game borrows from CONTROL without copying it completely, and the designers have crated an Employee Handbook for players as well as a Management Manual for GM’s. You get both when you pick up this game on Itch. There’s definitely a lot of pieces to keep track in this one - I don’t know if that translates to number crunching but it might get you close!

Not-Human AU
Ok, here's a little summary of this story:
From the start, Sun and Moon were previously normal humans with separate ordinary lives. But one day they were kidnapped to become the next attraction at the Pizza Plex. Ten years after their disappearance, when no one was looking for them anymore, they were finally released as the workers of Super Star Daycare.
Both retained a similar appearance to their original bodies, but were altered to be more similar to each other and to meet the characteristics of the Fazbear brand. And of course, both were given skills to fulfill their work of entertaining and taking care of the children. (First reference)
Much of their personalities remained as part of their core programming (also, this was one of the reasons they were cast). The memories of both, on the other hand, were disappearing over the years.
Fun fact: Moon's charge cycle is much faster than Sun's, since the latter spends more energy when actively playing with children.
For some time both boys began to have failures in their programming. Sun would go into moments of anxious crisis and display paranoia when he was extremely stressed, and Moon would frequently have glitches that disrupted his duties as night security guard.
Fun fact: Moon's security program is an incomplete copy of the Eclipse program, due to which it lacks the "foolishness" to treat humans when it comes to intruders, this has generated multiple accidents that the company has had to hide.
Daycare staff rarely spend much time with them, as most are frightened by their system failures and tired of their constant need for attention.
Some information that I don't know under which title to put:
• Sun and Moon are not family, but they have spent so much time together that they consider themselves one
• Both get along well with Eclipse
• They spent a brief time in the theater before being transferred to Daycare
• Sun is older than Moon
• Moon has the habit of walking barefoot around the Daycare and hiding his shoes for the children to find, when Sun finds them he usually throws them to scold him.
• Sun has a collection of small lost items (such as pins, bracelets, or coins) toys and larger items are brought to the office.
• Both boys are allowed to leave the nursery, but prefer not to to avoid the staff
Pheww! that's all for now. There is much more I want to say, but that will be for later.
I still need to upload the Eclipse information, it will be ready shortly! (I may have omitted some information, in which case you can review the information in my artfight account) If you have ideas or suggestions I will be happy to read them!
[I was using the translator to write all this, sorry if I screwed up something]

(Too much pressure, huh? Partly my fault- GET TO DASTARD should have been GET DASTARD TO STOP, so that was unsolvable, whoops. The usual tiebreaker has picked RETURNING THOUGHTS.)
Snagg𝐢ng your haul from the vending machine and leaping past another scythe swing, you turn on your heels and RUN THROUGH TESTING, past al𝒍 the weird random objects and into a pitch-black room. You crash into something hard and meta𝘓, and the CLANG echoes through the darkness. The dark might work to your advantage, though- you slam the door shut behind you and scramble out of view of the door⒲ay. Maybe you can hide in here!
Wh𝖎le your eyes adjust, you gnaw through seve𝔫 packages of stale pastry- and try out THE HAGUE LAUDS MAYO a bottle of MEGA-UNHEALTHY SODA. You feel full of energy- but aaaaaagh! The PYROGENIC TORCH, UH, SURFS! Or burns! Or has negative long-term health consequences! You trade 5 Soul Integrity for 5 hunger!
Well, that was unpleasant- but your eyes are starting to aḋjust to yσur surroundings.
You are in a room full of nothing but cages. Some empty, some crammed full. Full of bugs- glitches, broken things that should not be. The MASTERPIECE SONG echoes through the air, a haunting dirge lamenting eternal imprisonment.
You knoш, someho𝔴, that SHE HITS TWIN DESIRE. There's no other way it could ever have gone. For all your efforts, the fated terminus was alwムys here, in this room.
You кnow how it goes, right? Canonically, you're trappǝd in one of these cages until it's time 𝔣or you to die, insensate and unacknØwledged. There's no changing the past, right? You can't WISH HISTORY onto a different couʀse just by playing a game differen𝓽ly.
...Right?
And 𝕪et. In case a sti𝗧ch of hope remains, in this hell that we've гaised... you can't just stop here. If there's any way to change your grim fate, you'll need to push forward and find 𝕀t. You're lost in the echoes of the inner sanctum of this wor🅻d's greatest soul-engineers. If there's anything that can save you... it's here, isn't it? Can you find it? Does it exist? If it does, wi𝓵l it even be enough?
Through the darkness, a tracing of greenery marks the LEAF FEY ROUTE. The forest fairٱes seek to guide you out of the darkness and to some desperate hope.
In one of the cages lies the bullet-riddled corpse of a SHOT-UP JESTER. Though I'm given to understand that a clown can never truly die, it smiles invites you to r๏t with it.
Or perhaps your desperatioⓃ just BECAME HATRED, and you could strike back at the object of your ire. Is that how it went down? Will that change anything? I'm making it all up, y'know.

Destiny Bond: ?????
Sequel to Return to Sender.
Synopsis: Gold, grief stricken and afraid what’ll happen to him when the time comes, jumps the gun of how fate works.
CW: Sentient video game characters, dissociation, light body horror (ie: wrong colors and staying as such.), game glitches, existentialism, data destruction as metaphor for realizing dissociative disorders.
GOLD could hardly stand it any longer. The time loss, the time gain, the memory loss, the memory gain. If his player was here, it was still the same choppy things in his memory. It was as clear as he could imagine. The brighter and million other colors in his daydreams continued to persist. He hated it. He was somehow sorry that he did hate it.
Sometimes he felt like he walked on his own, but he wasn’t really walking. It wasn’t like his player. It felt like he was holding a hand with his player, they both stepped at the same time. When he walked on his own, he felt like being guided but no longer holding a hand. That was never like that before. At least he didn’t think so. Did he?
Whatever the case, he needed out. He didn’t want this. He didn’t want the memory of all those Pokémon he could no longer see anymore. He didn’t want to shiver when staring at his Bug Catching opponents or his mother. The same cries felt dull. Callers ringing the same tune made him want to delete every number.
He wanted to see that movie of the two boys on the train. He wanted to talk with CAL again. He wanted KRIS to understand his plight. He didn’t want her to feel like there was a sword over their heads if she ever realized they were doomed to be old and remade.
He needed out. He just needed to find a way. Otherwise, he didn’t know how much longer he could take. He didn’t want it to be forever. Then he would just wait for his home to give up the plastic ghost. He hated that thought also.
Feeling like a jaded adult instead of being a child- He supposed he should do what all jaded adults did when they were stuck in a depressive rut, gamble. He stood up from crouching to the MACHOP in VERMILLION, grinning at its hard work, …whatever that was given that nothing in the Construction Site would ever be finished, before selecting the Coin Case. Just for fun, honestly, made him feel like he was counting his money, and then—
Ow. Owww. Where was he? The game crashed? Ah- What the heck?! GOLD looked down at himself. Wasn’t he—? What? The colors were just off. He was supposed to be— Well, he sure wasn’t red anymore. He picked at his hoodie, it brighter. (Duller?) Or maybe it wasn’t, maybe his eyes were just bleeding from everything being purple. No, it wasn’t just purple, it was blue, green, a lot of things. At least he, despite the duller (brighter?) colors felt… normal? It didn’t hurt. Oh gosh what did he do, was MEGANIUM hurt?!
It was not, he saw. Despite the apocalypse of color, everything was fine. He was just never going to use that thing ever again, actually. It freaked him out. GOLD didn’t like it. Terrified, he booked it towards his usual place of residence when the game was off but he was still here: The Trainer House. For he was already, in a way, not exactly ‘normal,’ and he wasn’t sure why, but he saw KRIS for who she was, and they could chat.
KRIS was used to her friend freaking out at this point. Confiding in his strange behavior and mourning of someone she swore never acted like he claimed. In her eyes, she saw nothing of what he was saying even now.
“This is weird! This is so weird!” GOLD yelped, shaking her shoulders, “Everything’s pink! You’re the normal one! The grass is blue, KRIS!”
“GOLD, GOLD, calm down!” KRIS stumbled on her footing when he shook her like she was a sentient rag doll, “What do you mean everything’s different colors?”
“I don’t know how to explain to you that really simple concept! Even the dex entries- I touched the coin case and everything was- It was-!”
“GOLD, breathe!”
“We don’t have to do that!”
“Well, you need to! Look, I’m not saying I don’t believe you—“
“You never believe me!”
“Oh, don’t be a jerk! I do believe you! You just need to breathe! Maybe it’s like when you check the Legendary Beasts but they sound wrong, but it doesn’t mean anything’s wrong-wrong. It just looks weird.”
“M-Maybe, no POKéMON are hurt. I check- checked.” GOLD sniffled. Getting somewhere, KRIS smiled, turning her backwards cap forwards as she got her thinking cap on. (GOLD wouldn’t be able to see it anyways, he saw her bandana, apparently.)
“Player sends a lot of POKéMON to the old game that they’re not supposed to, so if it’s okay here, it should be okay there. We’re in no risk of breaking.”
“Guess so… I still don’t like it. I’m not using the coin case, I’m not experiencing this again.”
“But what if Player wanted to? Are you stuck like this?”
“Then I guess it’d be okay… It doesn’t hurt but Player would know how to use it, not me, so not me, never. I don’t think so… maybe if I reset again I’ll be normal?”
“Exactly! Nothing to worry about.”
“The Time Capsule freaks me out though… We can send stuff to the past, but we can never get future stuff!”
“Here we go again…”
“KRIS, don’t you think about it sometimes?”
“Yeah, I have, but… I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
“Why not?”
“GOLD, as far as we have known it’s always been 1999 for you and 2000 for me! I’m new, GOLD! You’re always afraid we’ll be tossed out when we’re seen as old, but I don’t know if it works that way.”
“Maybe but- if I don’t try- I’ll-! I’ll-! I don’t know and that’s the problem!”
“You’re scared of adventure? Of what’s to come?”
“I’m scared of going, KRIS! Not being me! Not being GOLD!”
“I’m sure you’ll be you, GOLD. Not any of the names you think you’ll turn out to be.”
“… … …”
“Oh, please don’t go quiet on me… I’m sorry if I upset you.”
“‘S not you.” GOLD wiped his face with his sleeve, “I’m just scared.”
“I know… but I’m saying you don’t have to be. Maybe what you think isn’t so scary. Maybe it wasn’t so scary for Hikaru like he-“
“CAL.”
“…Right. Your nickname.”
“No, I- Never mind. Say, um, we were talking about glitches-”
KRIS squinted.
“I’m not! I’m not! I’m still seeing everything like HO-OH threw up! I wouldn’t dare!”
Her eyes squinted further.
“I promise I won’t mess with anything, cross my heart, hope to die, and pinky promise.” GOLD did the motions too.
“Good. You know you can’t break either of those.” KRIS shook the pinky with hers.
“Of course you can’t break either of those. They’re crossing your heart and pinky promising!”
“And I’ll kick your butt if you break them.”
“You kick my butt anyways, KRIS.” GOLD grinned as they laughed, soon talking about hypotheticals.
The guilt felt heavier than the egg in his arms. He didn’t remember the actions, only that he did it. It would hatch any moment. Then he knew what he had to do. GOLD wasn’t sure why. He would just follow it. He needed his out. This was the only thought of his out. And if he died trying… Not a fun thought, but he would do it anyways.
GOLD shuddered when he thought about the collateral damage, so he had to do it perfectly. His wrongly colored clothes felt like they were going duller. Untrue, maybe his heart was. He did break a promise. But he wouldn’t jeopardize everybody he cared about for nothing. He would do his best to make sure he didn’t wreck everyone. So when it hatched, he put everything in the PC.
Step two was just… the apology to KRIS. He got Flower Mail, specifically, and just wrote on it. Trying not to let tears stain the pretty paper. Then he traded. He tried not to pay attention to her confused face when she read aloud.
“IM SORRY. MEET ME
IN THE NEXT PLZ
GOLD, what the heck, you’re not—”
KRIS grabbed his arm, he pulled away, “I am! Use that when you get home, please! I have to.”
“GOLD, listen to me!”
“No! Listen to me! I can’t live like this!”
“You can’t expect to run away past 1999!”
“Watch me!”
“GOLD, you might kill yourself that way!”
“I won’t! I won’t go! Never!”
“Stop acting like this! Please! He wouldn’t want you—“
“You don’t know what CAL wants! I don’t either! He’s gone!”
“GOLD, he’s—”
GOLD left the Trainer House, tears streaming down his cheeks. He hiccuped. He just hoped that she would follow. He hoped she could follow. GOLD just hurried past trees and grass, one POKéMON in his party. Honestly, he wasn’t sure if he should’ve gone here or the Diglett Statue. But he held the ball close to his chest, his breath hitching.
“Past when it happens… please… I don’t want to go, CELEBI. I want to stay. I want to be GOLD. I need to be GOLD.” He whispered at it, hoping it heard his prayers, heard his sobs.
His body felt like it was on fire. Color hit his eyes so bright it felt like watching another disappear again. But it was only himself. It was only him, duller (brighter?) clothes now on bright green grass. He coughed and spat, feeling like throwing up- despite the fact he physically couldn’t. Phlegm it was on the grass.
GOLD looked up, the sun beaming down on him, shadows from being blocked by the green trees. The wind blowing. He tried to stand up but fell on his knees. That kind of hurt. He checked his pockets for CELEBI.
…Where was CELEBI? There was no ball there. He checked his other pockets. No dice. Bag? Nothing. His berries were gone, but that was the least of his worries when he plucked out his trainer card. It was… broken. Broken how? He wasn’t sure. It just looked like he wasn’t there. All gone, blocked out. Something like that.
His fear of the future was still inside him, he could tell too. Wasn’t he in the future?
What did you do?
GOLD wasn’t sure what to tell that thought. He wasn’t sure if it sounded like his own.
GOLD. What did you do?
He didn’t know. He was in the future wasn’t he? If he himself wasn’t remade, he should be fine, right? Though his dreams of these colors, he was remembering, they had something else to them, right? How could he forget that part? Did he forget that part? No, he always remembers that part. They never had him because they couldn’t go past.
They couldn’t go past, that’s why he had to go forward.
But you don’t go forward. That’s just destiny.
Agh, shut up brain! Come on! CELEBI was maybe somewhere else. Maybe another one? But he- He didn’t- Ohhh no. No, no, no, no, he absolutely messed up. The weight of that set in as he started to breathe, started hyperventilating. He messed up. He couldn’t go forward. He couldn’t go back, he was still stuck in the past wasn’t he?!
GOLD thought of a trainer laughing as music played, a click of a camera shuttering following soon after.
What did you do? You’re not supposed to be here. You can’t be here.
“I don’t know.” GOLD found himself sobbing, “I don’t know what’s going to happen now.”
“That’s just life, GOLD. You almost destroyed yourself in the process of escaping it. I can’t say I didn’t either.”
“What am I going to do?! What’s going to happen to me now?!”
“I don’t know.” Hikaru said, “That’s Ethan and Lyra’s problem now. And whoever comes after them.”
===
KRIS banged her fists on the shrine. Her teeth grit and her ponytails nearly loose in her absolute frustration and grief.
“GOLD! GOLD, you idiot! Come back! Come back! Please come back! I’m sorry! Come back!”
She slammed the GS Ball what felt like thousands of times into the small hole. Nothing worked.
Nothing went forward and nothing came back. Destiny for remakes simply walked forward.
She’d see him again, she knew she would, one way or another, but would he see her?

Hazbin Top 5
I was going to make a top 10 character list, but realized after the first 5 I didn't know where to place anyone- But in case you're curious, some contenders for the remaining 6-10, in no specific order, were Angel Dust, Charlie, Emily, Niffty, and Sir Pentious. Now here's my top 5 with reasonings and appreciation for them all!
5. Lucifer
Obviously bro is relatable, not only for his awkwardness and hyperfixations, but he also happens to be the same height as I am at about 5'2" (according to the sources I've seen). Being the same height as Lucifer is my biggest flex lmao- I still have no idea why his hatred of Alastor seemed so instant. Like yeah, Alastor was trying to annoy him by being a better dad to Charlie, but the whole 'fuck you' moment happened before any of that started. Did he just sense the bad vibes off of him or what? Anyway, his awkwardness and desperation to connect with his daughter make for probably my favorite lines of the episode, such as the "Hey bitch!" and the whole "You like girls? So do I!" situation followed by him being so distracted he called Vaggie by the wrong name. Perfect comedy
4. Lute
I love her an insane amount for someone who shows up so relatively little with so few lines, but here we are. I've already made an entire post about her, here it is if you want it, so I'll keep this short (Spoiler alert: I failed). I actually don't think I mentioned just how attractive this woman is, so let's get that out there right now. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this, about half the people I've seen react to Episode 6 have seen Lute without her mask, took a pause of recognition, and we all knew what they were thinking before the pressed play. Istg my taste in women (and sometimes even men, thanks Vox) is just "Can they murder me without a second thought? Yes? That's hot". My favorite line of hers is when she's hyping up the army with Adam and says "Rip Vaggie's cunt mouth out her ass!" and even Adam has to be like "damn girl chill what the hell-" She's so feral I love her so much
3. Rosie
Everyone needs a Rosie in their lives. I don't just mean a regular therapist, I mean a person in your life, friend or family member, who will talk you out of your downward spiral and gently call you out on why those paranoid thoughts are actually pretty unrealistic (the other side of the same coin would be Husk, he's just more blunt about it). I'm also still completely convinced she has some interesting and sad backstory based on how she was talking to Charlie and I need to know about it so bad. "It can be difficult to admit to things you're not proud of, especially if those things hurt the ones you love" Ma'am what did you do? I find it hard to believe it's just about the cannibalism. I don't know if in this instance, she's the one who hurt someone or someone else hurt her and she was the one who failed to forgive them, but either way I need answers.
2. Vox
Y'all know I love this man in more ways than one, he one the hottest Hazbin character poll for a reason. But I swear everything about this man makes me love him as a character more. First, I always love a technology based character, his electricity powers and literal screen head are the coolest thing in the world to me. He's voiced by Christian Borle, which was a fantastic choice, along with the glitched effect his voice gets when he's mad, I love to see it. Apparently it's also canon he can fly (with rocket shoes)?? He just keeps getting the best character design choices possible, this can't possibly be fair- The fact his first introduction was being done with Val, telling him to call tf down, and treating him like a child ("Now that's why they pay you the big bucks!") was a pretty good first impression for me lol, made even funnier when it was followed by him losing all sense of rationalism when Alastor entered his line of sight.
1. Alastor
The character my blog is named after, this should not be a surprise. Shockingly enough, despite my obsession for him and acknowledgement of his charming nature and generally attractive design, I' do not simp for him in the slightest'm not personally attracted to him in the slightest. I simp for a TV and yet apparently deer man with permanent smile is where I draw the line idk- The most I want from him is to be as good of a friend to him as Rosie is (well that and to touch his ears but that's a given). But this is another character I love literally everything about. Who would've thought the concepts of 'radio host', 'serial killer', and 'literal deer' would work so well together to create this dapper yet terrifying fucking cryptid. Not only can he be either incredibly scary or a silly guy, he can and has done both at once. Example: Episode 3 when he's just casually eating a deer carcass in his room (in which he summoned a whole ass bayou). I was genuinely so glad when the 'this face was made for radio' thing happened in episode 1, confirming that they were still gonna lean into his creepy-as-fuck distortion and general vibe he had in the pilot. He's horrifying and evil and I love that about him. Meanwhile he also says shit like "Now he's pissy, that's the tea" (definitely taught to him by Rosie) and kicks his legs on the bed like a schoolgirl as if he hasn't committed countless atrocities. My favorite character, everyone-
Wow I wrote more than I meant to for this, sorry about the essay-

Super Mario 64
JP release: 23rd June 1996
NA release: 29th September 1996
PAL release: 1st March 1997
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
N64 Magazine Score: 96%
Starting off with a bang, one of the Nintendo 64’s launch titles just happens to be a revolutionary game that’s one of the best games on the system. It didn’t just show the world how platform games could work in 3D, but it set the standard for movement in 3D as well. Despite it’s legendary status, Nintendo have never given us the port that this game deserves. Super Mario 64 doesn’t need a full remake, just a little bit of sprucing, widescreen and an updated camera.
Luckily, fans of the game have done this themselves by fully recreating the game’s engine on PC, with lots of options to set it up the way you want. There’s some much more graphically impressive options than what I chose, but I wanted it to look similar to the original game, with just crisper textures and some of the 2D objects replaced with 3D ones.
The movement of Mario still feels amazing all these years later. His move set is brilliant with all of his moves (minus the special hats) available form the get-go, it’s just a case of learning it and figuring out the best way do move. Most people will start off ding taller jumps by doing the backflip, but then transition to the quick turn jump to get up to the tall platforms. Even now, it’s an absolute joy to control.
The camera from the original game is the main part of the game that now feels clunky. It was pretty amazing when the game came out, but it’s one aspect of games that has improved over time. Luckily, the version I played lets you turn on a more modern analogue camera, which (along with widescreen) is really all Super Mario 64 needs to feel modern.
The levels are small, but it’s a style that really suits the game. They’re packed full of secrets, with six stars to find in each one (plus an extra star for collecting 100 coins). Once you collect a star, you’re thrown out of the level, which does mean you have to re-do parts of levels multiple times, but there are sometimes changed to the level depending on which star you collect. There is a mod that lets you remain in levels, but I feel like this alters the game too much, and is itself fiddly as you need to work out when you need to manually leave the level.
Each level has a very distinct feel to it and I enjoyed every level in the game, with the exception of two of the water levels. While some have generic themes (lava, water and ice), the levels are still built in unique ways, and even matching themes (like the two snow levels) don’t feel like a reuse due to the level design.
Other than a couple of stars that include the wing, metal and invisible caps, you can also complete levels before moving on, or just do a couple of stars and try somewhere else. You only need 70 out of 120 stars to complete the game (far fewer if you choose to do glitches), but it’s enjoyable collecting them all.
To unlock different sections of the castle (and access more levels), you need to complete Bowser’s levels. There are three in total (the last one being to save Peach) and these are much more linear platform challenges, which creates a nice change of pace. At the end of these you have to face off against Bowser, grabbing his tail and spinning him to throw him into bombs, and I’m still absolutely dreadful at aiming my throws.
The final section of the game has some outstanding levels.
Wet-Dry World is the third water level of the game, but this one stands out much more due to the mechanic of raising and lowering the water levels. There are different ways to move upwards depending on the water level, and you’ll need to make use of these to collect all the stars.
Tiny-Huge Island has you using pipes to swap between a giant Mario and a mini Mario. You get to see cute tiny goombas or have to fight ones that are much larger than Mario. It’s not Mario’s size that actually changes, but the level itself. It’s an absolutely adorable level full of joy.
Tick Tock Clock is actually a lot smaller than I remember, but is focused on well timed jumps. The unique aspect of this level is that the level entrance is itself a clockface, and where the minute hand points alters the speed of the objects in the level, or even stops them completely. I have quite strong memories of trying to figure out what was happening when this happened as a kid.
The final main level, Rainbow Ride, is more linear than most levels, with different segments connected via magic carpets. You’ll need to jump off the carpets to avoid obstacles, but if you take too long, the carpets will vanish. This level requires you to have learnt how to master Mario’s moveset.
Super Mario 64 is still an absolute joy to play, especially so with an updated camera. I think a full remake would alter the game too much, as the level design and movement is integral to its identity. It just needs a bit of sprucing up, and I really hope we get an official version that does this at some point.
This was an amazing start for the Nintendo 64. Not only was this game integral to the development of 3D games as a whole, but the gameplay and levels still hold up today. Games keep trying to be bigger and better, but smaller and varies levels are also a great approach.
“The best game ever?” Possibly, but then it’s so far ahead of anything that comparisons seem meaningless.
- Zy Nicholson, N64 Magazine #1

Remake or Remaster?
As the fan-made PC version shows, Super Mario 64 still holds up really well and just needs some basic improvements. A remastered Super Mario 64 would be perfect.
Official Ways to get the game
There is no way to buy a new copy of Super Mario 64, the only official way to play is to rent it via the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pak.
Other versions
2004: Super Mario 64 DS. This version featured altered levels, more stars and extra playable characters. The extra content was well received, but forcing previous stars to certain characters was frustrating. The controls also don’t work very well on the DS. The touch screen minigames were a brand new addition and were well liked.

Ooh, that last person saying quartz reminded me, one time I had "Quartz" as my aspect.
I was the Ward of Quartz. I'd say it's keywords might have been something like, memory, repetition, and circles. Not really sure though, I didn't get that deep into it sadly. I think it might have had some overlap with Time also? Toward the end I started "recording moments" and I think I was supposed to eventually get an ability or something that would let me play them back multiple times to copy things from them.
Well, that's what a bunch of the land's lore seemed to point to anyway. Also something about ghosts?
Anyway, I was literally in a coma or something for like half the session, so I ended the game way underleveled, feel like I never got to the cool stuff. :/
I've never vagabounced before, it always seemed a little dangerous to me, to mess with the classpect assignments, but I've thought about doing it to try playing Quartz again. I'm just so curious! But obviously it's like, a glitch or one off thing, right, or else I would have heard about other people getting it. So how would the game even handle me trying to do that? Like, if a class or aspect doesn't exist in a session, but you try to vagabounce to it anyway, what happens?
The point of Vagabouncy is that you are in fact jumping to a Title that doesn't exist in the session. Every Title except for the ones given to you count as "not being in the session".
As for changing to a very uncommon or "hypothetical" Title... It is possible to Vagabounce into Titles the game is not supposed to give, like the Waste of Time or Waste of Space. That's not advisable, but you can do it. The weirder, uncommon Aspects like Coins or Stage or whatever are also achievable. I'm pretty sure Clowns aren't, but this data might be skewed by the commonly accepted "if you Vagabounce into Clown I am legally allowed and obligated to beat you to death" policy most Sessions institute. The real question is, What Is Quartz.
I'm once again tapping the sign saying "Title Attribution is never bugged", the Titles themselves can be bugged, but the game doesn't do something like give a non-Aspect Aspect, or double Class, or whatever. That said, "weird stuff" and "bugs" are two different things. There are certain instances in the game's script where Aspects are completely misidentified (Rage = Wrath, Flow = Fire), not to mention the pervasive "sometimes Smiths are called Lords" phenomenon. It is possible that Quartz is just a misidentified Time, Quartz is a common Land keyword for Time players, and almost all time travel devices made with alchemy require at least 1 Quartz Grist. In which case, you might become Time. Or maybe Quartz is a distinct Aspect (some Aspects do overlap or have odd similarities). Or maybe "Quartz" isn't actually real, you did say you were in a coma for half of the Session, and I've certainly never heard of it.
The only real question now is "what happens if you try to Vagabounce into a Title that doesn't actually exist". And we have an answer, because every so often we get an r/amitheasshole discussion thread because some guy tried to Vagabounce into the Huss Class or Piss Aspect, and it did nothing, and the other players got mad because Vagabouncy is a once per session (not once per person per session) deal, and they just wasted it trying to do the SBURB equivalent of voting for Harambe. All this to say, head on down to the Panoramic Imaginarium on the Dream Moons, find the one (1) singular mirror which changes your Title when you break it, and pray for Quartz, baby! Just make sure you tell me the results.

Seriously? Don't Try The "Chase Money Glitch"
In a world of seemingly endless viral stupidity, what has been coined as the "Chase Money Glitch" has gone ultra-viral this weekend. What exactly is this miracle money "glitch," though? And why shouldn't you try it? Let's break it down. Let me be clear, this is edutainment only!
In essence, the "glitch" is when somebody makes a check out to themselves for X amount—typically a high sum in the thousands to tens of thousands—before depositing it in the Chase mobile app and withdrawing the cash from a Chase ATM before the check clears. Free money, right? Wrong. This is a criminal practice known as check fraud and can land first-time offenders several years in prison and up to $500K in fines; it's definitely not worth that $10K. Since the participants in this challenge are using their own bank accounts to scam the bank out of stacks, the bank has all their info and is highly unlikely to let a crime like this slide. It was deemed a "glitch" because funds were being made available immediately as opposed to standard processing times, but it's still a crime and you'd have a hard time building a case off of a viral trend any reasonable person would know better than to partake in. At least, I sure as hell wouldn't take a losing case like this.
So please, don't be stupid on the internet. I know my fantastic audience wouldn't partake in this kind of bullshit, but it's been a hot topic, and I thought I'd share my warnings about it.
Just remember that money isn't free—ever!
