1. Cleaned the room yesterday and I’m not entirely sure if I should keep this desk set-up.

2. I also had fun putting up this stickers on my laptop and notebook 🥰

3. Ordered my usual starbucks drink which is iced white chocolate mocha subsoy and a snack. The amount of productivity is just so different for me when I’m able to have my cup of coffee 😂

Today was pretty ok. I didn’t get to everything I needed to today, but I feel good about what I accomplished. I have 3 final projects, and I made a lot of progress in 2 of them. I also started studying for my chemistry final in less than 2 weeks (pretty sure all of my finals are open note :)). I tried making my chem notes kinda neat, and I’m pretty happy with them. Let’s hope tomorrow is a better day!

Really interesting... I got an iced americano and they literally poured the shot on top in front of me which was really cool, especially because there was a really pretty crema. It wasn’t sour per se but it was pretty sharp and very strong and fresh if that makes sense. It seemed like a family run business and they roast their own beans in the back. While I had my drink a few long time customers came in to pick up a new bag of beans and it was awesome to see the community they enrich in Brookline. Super cute!

Although this is technically a tea house I heard they had great coffee so I checked it out and boy am I glad I did!! The coffee came in smooth, deep and sharp and I got deep. It was very quality but pretty average; i imagine the tea is better. They also have delicious looking Japanese food and pastries. And what really made this place amazing is the space!! Whoever designed this place is a genius. There was an awesome blend of private books and a general public coffee shop feel, with awesome repose from the busy street and a very naturey vibe. They also blended elements of Japanese tea culture into the setting, with a private room with floor seating that some young families were playing games in, and really awesome seats built into the floor, so they looked floor level but weren’t uncomfortable. There was even a sushi bar! Definitely coming back with friends.

New Coffee Blend to try: Not for the strong coffee drinker, more for a good dessert, as this one has strawberry and almond and milk chocolate notes. Willing to try some other roasts from Dollop. Thier bag alone is a pretty piece of art. So I need to figure out something creative to do with it. Or my kids will.

A rainy Sunday coffee odyssey...

I had the filtered coffee, a Colombian bean “with notes of cherry and mint”. I should really look up what different origin beans are supposed be. Anyway it was awesome, the acidity was like the acidity of cherry juice weirdly enough. Couldn’t make out the flavors exactly but I think it made sense!

Again a hot filtered coffee. This one was good too, but I think what really made the experience was the decor and design. I felt like the acidity was almost like berry black tea? Smooth but not as rich as the last one. They had a super cool loft with tables and it was generally an awesome location and environment.
