My Friendly Neighborhood: Mind Blind AU - Part 1

Facts about MFN: Mind Blind AU, I made this so that you would at least know a few things about the AU I created, facts will be put into different sections so yeah, also this does cover some heavy topics such as family death and trauma, including mental illness and so forth so if your sensitive to that type of thing then I suggest you stop reading this post right now.

If you are not then here are the facts! (also I’d like to apologize for how talkative and disorganized the facts are, I just want to clear things up)

Actual Fact: This AU takes place on Apeifinitus

Part: 1

Evan Sosala

Evan Sosala was the Creator of the studio and show series “Our Friendly Neighborhood” as well as some other shows

Evan used to have a Similar-Looking older brother named John Sosala though he had died from accidentally getting pushed off a cliff (it is unknown who did it)

After this Evan bought a studio and created the show

Evan used to be a kind man but after his brother’s death he was so much in sorrow that he created a puppet that looked almost identical to him the puppet’s name is Norman

After this, he became manipulative and a bit abusive

Norman

Norman was a puppet to be a surrogate in place of John after he had passed away

Norman’s personality is very child-like and is oblivious to certain situations and social cues making it kinda difficult to have him play the main role in an educational show

Due to a certain traumatic event, Norman had developed a condition called Aphantasia (which is the inability to form mental images of objects that are not present)

This also causes him to have memory problems, especially after a nap

He is the most favored to Evan Sosala and even spoils him at times (though obviously, Norman doesn’t notice this)

Norman has a huge heart (He is baby)

But after he had gotten Aphantasia whenever someone would point it out Norman will get frustrated about his lack of memory and have a mental breakdown in his room (while destroying some stuff)

Norman always requires a handler even after children have left

He has a scrapbook of memories so that he can keep track and remember things

He is Panromantic and Coeoromantic (it is Love at first sight romantically)

Leonard

Leonard was the first puppet ever to be Nonbinary (they also use He/Him pronouns but that’s beside the point)

Leonard was made to be Norman’s Best Friend and is the second main character of the show

They have a very generous and calm personality and are the most mature out of the trio

Because they know Norman so well they are usually the one making sure he doesn’t hurt himself or others by accident (kind of like a handler per se)

Leonard is Gay and Demiromantic (they chose to use the term Gay so please don’t hate me)

They are an Introvert

Their eye was a result of a fight that happened between them and Normen (who I will go into soon but for short he is not Norman)

Leonard uses a cane because his leg was somewhat injured from that fight as well

They enjoy music and play the violin

They and Norman are roommates

Leonard doesn't need a handler

Normen

Normen was made to be a sort of version of Evan Sosala himself and to be a younger brother of Norman

Though he wasn’t included in the show (or any show Evan made)

Because of this Normen became resentful of Evan and envied Norman

Normen picked up the habit of smoking and swearing due to some employees being careless (Never Smoke!)

He has Major anger issues and can lash out and get violent

Normen was the one that took out Leonard’s left eye because they tried to take a cigarette he was using causing a fight to break out and ultimately getting Normen in trouble

He does care for Norman’s well-being he just doesn’t know how to show it

He is never allowed to go near children and is usually locked away whenever they visit the studio so he doesn’t have a handler

Junebug

Junebug was created to be one of Norman’s main friends

Junebug was made after an accident occurred relating to a child going missing

Junebug’s personality is what you would call A BIT of a chaotic weirdo (for instance she tries to eat gravel a lot)

She is somewhat mature but she does need a handler whenever she is with kids because of her eccentric personality

She tends to record a lot using the cameras in storage

Junebug is Biromantic

She kinda sees Goblette as a grandmother figure

She and Pearl are roommates

Pearl

She is made to be Leonard’s older sister and to be one of the minor characters in the show

She was after Leonard was made so she was made taller than them to make her seem like she is older

Her personality is also like Leonard’s though she doesn’t speak much, she is also very shy and kinda sensitive, she is usually very mother-like and gentle to the children

She doesn’t need a handler

Despite her seemingly looking like a lady she is actually around the same age as the other puppets (don’t ask me how it works I don’t know)

She is a lesbian

She doesn’t feel safe around Normen or Ray (Understandable)

She technically is trans due to her previous design being a male

Ray

He was made to be a minor character in the show

His personality is what you would call an angry grandpa, he also has anger issues

He is probably the oldest puppet in the studio alongside Goblette

He and Goblette are in a relationship (imagine Eustace Bagge and Muriel Bagge from Courage The Cowardly Dog but as Puppets)

He deeply cares about Goblette and loves her cooking

There was an accident where a child was severely harmed by Him due to his anger problems and ever since then he has been locked away in the basement

He regrets ever harming that child…

Goblette still visits him frequently and brings her cooking along with her so that they can eat together

Though he is scared that he might accidentally hurt her one day
