The Rules:
Every twenty-four hours there will be another round. After every round, the ship in last place will be eliminated.
If there are multiple ships tying for last place, there will be a special elimination round. In these rounds, every ship in last place will be eliminated, even if all the ships have tied equally.
When there are only two ships remaining, they will face off against one another in a week-long poll to determine the victor.
If the ship that you consider the best isn't listed here, hit the 'you forgot the best ship' option and reply to this post with the overlooked ship. The ship with the highest 'write-in' votes will be added to the next round. Unless the 'you forgot the best ship' option is the least voted for, in which case it will be eliminated.Welcome to the fray, Kalluzeb!
This is all for fun. Don't take it too seriously ;)
It’s a sad day; it’s time to bit adieu to Kanera. Space Mom and Space Dad finally got outvoted.
Tumblr media
But I’m sure they’re very proud of you all for how long you kept them afloat. Well done, Kanera stans!
We’re getting closer and closer to the end… is everyone ready for Round Nine? Because it’s here already!

Obi-Wan and Anakin are implied and outright confirmed to have seen each other as brothers, but I’d like to take this a step forward by defending my weird ass helluva boss inspired headcanon: Anakin also sees him as his father(only sometimes)
Anakin was nine when Obi-Wan took him, and a nine year old probably can’t separate an old person from an older person. Yes, he knows Obi-Wan is younger than the other Jedi Masters, but he doesn’t think about it like that. To him, Obi-Wan is on the same “level” and age is just another factor in his mind. Obi-Wan isn’t going to sit him down and explain that the only reason he’s his master is because Qui-Gon died and that every day he walked on thin ice around the other masters, being the youngest and knighted on a technicality. Anakin would soon realize this on his own in his early teens and after a long conversation he came to learn that Obi-Wan regretted nothing that had happened. It was hard, yes, but Obi-Wan loved Anakin with all his heart and Anakin saw Obi-Wan as respectable as Mace or Yoda even. He put Obi-Wan on a pedestal so it’s easy to see how Anakin, meeting him at nine, having him be in a parental position, not having a father of his own, may see him as a father.
Yes, there brothers in every sense of the word, but Obi-Wan still raised Anakin and was probably the worlds best teen mom who’s a guy. I love the idea of him fretting over Anakin and calling him “Ani” to sooth him or just randomly whenever it slipped.
I bring up helluva boss due to that one scene in episode 8(pretty sure eps8) where loona calls Blitzø dad.
Again, Anakin sees Obi wan as a brother now but as a kid he saw him as a father.
all this to say I like the idea that if Obi ever got a major injury or was in trouble or simply in trouble or a hostage situation whatever- he might let “dad” slip
Ashoka never mentions it bc she understands it’s a confusing topic, there brothers yes, but Anakin has still referred to him as his “father” in dire situations.
think drunk Obi(inevitable)who’s probably a sad drunk eight beers in(idk how alcohol works, party animal until sad ig)and Anakin might be the one that night to help him into bed and rub his back as he throws up. He’d probably have to reassure him that he’s a good master and a good general, and feels more comfortable letting “dad” slip.
Ok this is poorly written but in my defense I’m dyslexic it’s flooding where I am and I don’t have time to un-dyslexia my post and by that I mean beta’ing it twenty times
also never mentioned anywhere in this post but Codywan exists and he’s probably called Cody dad too only bc I say so

Victory, in 212th Gold (Codywan comfortathon)
Their new – and decidedly less Sithly – Chancellor Organa finished speaking, his arms spread as wide in welcome as the smile on his face. The Negotiator, hanging in orbit over Coruscant while waiting for just this verdict, was still as a held breath. The broadcast ended.
Chaos erupted.
The training rooms – the biggest rooms they had and therefore the natural choice of streaming location for something this monumental – went mad with vod’e shouting, singing, enthusiastic hugs turning into wrestling or dancing. The relief and joy almost made Obi-Wan’s head spin with the sheer depth.
He turned to Cody beside him, still and quiet amidst the sudden explosion of movement and noise. Someone hooked up a player to the projector and a bass-y house mix blared out, adding to the building party atmosphere.
“We did it.” Cody said, and was already looking back at him. His eyes were shining. He reached out and caught Obi-Wan’s belt in one hand. Jerked him close in one blinding motion to collide with his chest. “We did it! Sir – Obi-Wan-”
Obi-Wan caught himself against Cody, beaming at him, “This victory is yours, Cody, and your brothers’-”
“And yours,” Cody said right back, “Yours, the Jedi, you’ve been with us every step of the way.” He ran his other hand up Obi-Wan’s spine, cupped the back of his skull in a hand more accustomed to holding a blaster and no less gentle for it.
He was aware of the grins surrounding them, the focus turning – but it wasn’t any less joyous, and the unshielded euphoria was washing over and around him quite distractingly. “Cody,” he murmured, lifting a hand to his cheek. Stroked a thumb lightly over that long-worn scar. “My darling, you have all been such steadfast lights throughout-”
“Just kiss already!” Longshot shouted somewhere nearby. “We’ve bragging rights to claim, sirs!” There was a thwack of a hand meeting someone’s blacks.
The music changed to something more carnival. More whoops sounded, mixed with giddy booing. Mix defended his choice loudly.
“Longshot, you don’t understand romance,” Cody called back, without looking away from Obi-Wan. “I’m aiming for more than bragging rights here.”
“Is that so?” Obi-Wan murmured, “Well, I’m very happy to hear your elevator pitch, darling, I’ll be sure to give it all due consideration.”
“Haven’t you been listening?” he said, just as low. They were drawing closer together, irresistibly caught in orbit. “I’ve been telling you this whole time, every day that we-”
“Do you want the 327th to win, Cody!?” Longshot hollered. He cackled as several someones went for the tackle. “Just because no one else is brave enough – ah, kriff.” The scuffling intensified, noogie-ing and headlocks abounding as a giant play-fight broke out and turned into an elaborate game of tag. Men who hadn’t gotten a childhood playing in the first moments of being free to make their own choices, entire.
Cody ran his nails lightly against Obi-Wan’s scalp and he shivered into the touch, leaning his head back. His eyelashes fluttered down, but not so far he couldn’t watch Cody’s pupils bloom. “Longshot, my dear, I do hope this is not how I find out about one of my very good friends entering a relationship.”
“Sir, it’s gonna be how most of them find out about yours.” Crys chipped in gleefully.
“If anyone is taking holos, know that I will ruin your new lives as thoroughly as I could when I was in charge of duties.” Cody said, looking about .2 seconds from breaking and ravaging his mouth. Obi-Wan dragged his teeth over his bottom lip helpfully.
“You can’t catch all of us, Commander!” That, Obi-Wan believed, was Mouse – who had blossomed in his confidence this last year under Cody’s tutelage, and was probably going to regret that in short order. He tilted his head a little more, arched his neck.
“Underestimate me at your peril.” Cody tugged him impossibly closer by his hold on his belt. “That goes for you as well, sir.”
“Not sir,” Obi-Wan said breathlessly, “Not anymore. Cody.”
“Are you asking, Obi-Wan?” he said against his lips, a sweet torment. “I’d keep playing, but I would actually like to beat Bly on this one.” Oh, feeling Cody smile was a fresh revelation. “Not to mention, I’ve heard such interesting things about your mouth.”
“What the kriff.”
“Shut up, this is better than anything on the holonet.”
His other hand was splayed against Cody’s collarbone, feeling his pulse drum. He trailed his thumb down to frame his lip, felt rather than heard the quick inhale. “I do hope I live up to the hype.” Let them linger another moment, let the tension and wonder coil like a wound music-box. “Cody. I’m asking.”
Cody didn’t hesitate a second. Kissed him with all the yearning they’d built up over the years. Sank into him like a drowning man into a siren. Icarus to the sun, wax unmelting – or, worth the melting, to be held for a golden moment in sunlight’s hands.
Another cheer went up, ringing the room in noise and only increasing as Obi-Wan responded by twining himself further around Cody with all the hope he had for the future and all the lightness that had infused the Force since Palpatine’s fortunate and unlamented end. They broke apart to an eardrum threatening number of wolf whistles. A chant of Two! Twelfth! Two! Twelfth! started up and he couldn’t have found embarrassment if he’d had a whole excavator to dig for it.
His comm started dinging. He ignored it in favour of kissing Cody again, soft and lingering.
The dinging increased in fervour. “I will be joining Cody in hunting down purveyors of holopics, I believe.” he announced brightly. “My crèchemates are going to be hunting me so it’s only fair I pass that on.”
Cody drew him into another long minute of kissing, then broke it to add to their celebratory battalion, “It would take some impeccable bribery to convince me not to plan creative and ironic revenge.” He made a deliberating face, “It would need to be even better to also distract my Jedi from hunting. You know how he likes his enrichment.”
Half of Ghost was crowded near enough to hear and immediately started heckling and spit-balling offers. Obi-Wan said mildly, “You’re incredibly in biting range, you know.”
“I know,” Cody answered, starting to smile again. “The thing is, I’d much rather you hunt me.”
@codywancomfort
Happy moment for comfort needs (and a bit of kissing in honour of Lasagna)

see I really love the "we never got the timing quite right", "in another life" and "almost lover" aspects of codywan. Though I read most if not all versions of codywan, so many, every day— the pining and longing part of it, is really my favourite.
It's the staring at one another just a moment too long when they think they can get away with it,
the lingering touches and the unnecessary ones.
The hyper awareness of the other's presence.
It's the pain of sharing whispers of affection or vulnerability in moments of weakness (nightmares, panic attacks, grief, existential crisis) and having to go back to pretending nothing at all occurred the next time they see each other.

'I'm in love with a Jedi' Support Group - One Shot
Happy May 4th! In honor of this day, have the full one-shot of this post that still makes the rounds here and people seem to find fun! All mistakes are mine, I just finished and it is 1:50 am for me! But I will clean it up and post it to Ao3 later today. Enjoy!
Now on AO3!
Read on if you like Anidala, Codywan, Dinluke, Hanleia, Quinfox, Kesett, Blyala, Kanera, alongside Grogu being cute and getting too many cookies!
Description: Din gets jumped on the way back home and wakes to find he has been welcomed into a 'secret club' made for those who fell for Jedi and now have to deal with Force Osik.
A Star Wars May 4th One-Shot
Din was no idiot. He had clocked the people following him since he had been halfway through his market run. But they were good at hiding themselves. He knew at least four people were keeping a close eye on him. But every time he had tried to look more closely, they had hidden themselves among the crowd. It was a Sunday at 10 am, which meant that the market was especially packed. Part of the reason he had decided to leave Grogu and Luke at home, big crowds left them more tired. It was fun, they definitely enjoyed their time out and about, but by the end of it, both would be tired the rest of the day. Considering they would have visitors later tonight, he and Luke had agreed that it was better that he took care of the shopping so they would all have the energy to host later tonight.
And now he was even more glad he had left them at home. He did not need Luke and Grogu exposed to someone looking for a fight. Din was 70% sure these people were looking for the Darksaber. Most of the time, challengers came alone, but more than once some random Mandalorian would come with their clan to try to intimidate him as he was challenged. It could also have been just someone who wanted Din's armor, but that they were good at evading him made him consider this was no mere group of criminals looking to jump him.
Still, Din kept on and finished his purchases. No need for them to know he knew they were there. He hoped as soon as he got done with the Challenge for the tittle of Mand'alor (which he still did not want, at all), he would be free to grab his stuff and get home in time to give Grogu his cookies before naptime. The kid would not be happy if he didn't give him the cookies before. Otherwise, after naptime it would be too close to lunch time for a snack. Grogu loved those blue cookies. He would rather avoid having his child give him a cold shoulder, Din would prefer going against another Krayt Dragon.
Saying goodbye to a regular vendor that delighted in spoiling Grogu with his favorite cookies, Din made his way seemingly towards home. He tried to shake his tail, he would fight if necessary, but he would rather just go home and deal with this idiots on another day. But, they were good and he couldn't shake them. Din had to admit that getting to let off some steam from his nerves about tonight's dinner would not be a bad thing. He took a couple of more turns, and quickly dived into a hidden alley. As he settled in the shadow of the entrance, expecting to jump whoever came lookign for him, he did not expect the blow to the back of his head.
It was never good to be knocked out, but at least they had placed him in a comfortable chair. He made sure not to move or change his deep breathing. His helmet was still on, and he could feel the Darksaber still on his hip. He could not see yet all that clearly, but the tranquilizer was fast working and already leaving his system. He could still not hear, but his vision was now good enough that he could see he was in front of a window. What was he doing in the only building in their town that was so high up to see over the whole market? As he pondered this, trying to remember what the building was (a Hotel he was sure), his hearing finally returned enough to hear the heavy steps coming towards him from the left. He tensed as he heard a familiar voice, which immediately overrode his instinct to pretend to still be knocked out beacause he knew that voice.
"You can stop pretending, I know you are awake." Commander Fox had now sat down next to him on a couch, in what as he gazed around, he could clearly tell was indeed a Hotel room. Fox was holding a beer on one hand and another he offered to Din, who on auto took it. As Fox opened his, the door opened and more surprised entered.
Leading the group, was Luke's mother, Padme Skywalker, holding some bags clearly also from the market. Han Solo came next, also carrying more bags. Both headed straight for the little kitchen to the left of the front door. After Han, Hera Syndulla and Commander Bly enter next, deep in conversation. They sit at the bar that separetes the kitchen from the sitting area as Padme directs Han to put away the food they had brought. The last to enter are Commander Cody and Boba Fett, both sporting matching scowls directed towards Din.
Din might still be under the influence of the drug, he can only stare open-mouthed while holding a beer on one hand as everyone else (who were suppossed to arrive for dinner in the evening) moves around like Din hadn't been knocked out and brought here.
As he opens his mouth, willing to ask what was going, Cody and Boba approach them and now he can see their piercing gazes are not for Din, but rather, for Fox.
"Fox, drugging him was not the plan!" Despite having only known the man for a few years, and already as an adult, Din still felt like a misbehaving ad whenever Cody used his "Commander Voice" (as Luke called it) around him.
"This is a secret meeting, we have done the same for every single one of the members. Besides, needed to test how well he could avoid us."
"He is a trained Mandalorian and the current Mand'alor! You already know how good he is!"
"What if it had been an imposter posing as him? Couldn't risk it."
"Fox, are you listening to yourself!"
As Cody continued to fight with his brother, Boba grabbed Din and gotten him to his feet, taking the beer off his hand and directing him to the bar. Hera had now moved to help in the kitchen with Han as Padme directed them in chopping various things. Bly had moved as Boba and Din approached to also join in the scolding of Fox, all three now almost screaming at each other.
"Did I hear that right? Din, are you okay honey? C'mon, grab a seat, and have some water." Padme motioned to the stools and Boba directed a still dumbstruck Din to seat. He also gave him a water bottle and padded his arm. Din finally managed to stop pretending to be a fish and removed his helmet. He tried to get his hair in some order before drinking the whole bottle. He turned to Boba finally asked what was going on.
"Welcome to the club, cousin. The plan wasn't to knock you out, that was all Fox. He insists on doing that to 'preserve our secrets' or some osik like that."
"Club?"
"It's more of a support group."
"Support for what?"
"The Force."
"What?"
"Boba, you are confusing him more!" That was Cody, who had left Bly to deal with Fox.
"Then you come and explain it then!"
"Boys, boys, keep it calm please! Here Din, I think you will need this." Hera had opened up some wine and had given him the first glass. As she continued to pass them about, Han and Padme, who were still chopping and now putting stuff to cook at the stove, took pity on the confused face Din was sporting to explain more.
"Back in the Clone Wars, I stumbled upon Cody, Fox and Bly lamenting on the fact that they were in secret relationships with Force Users and it was too much sometimes when none understood anything about the Force. Considering that my own marriage back then had been a secret, I offered to host some get togethers to just unwind and tell each other our woes when it came to the things we encountered with our significant others." Padme finally deemed everything ready let it cook on its own and grabbed the final wine glass Hera passed to her. Cody, Boba, Bly and Fox had come around now to listen to her explanation.
"And as more of us got together with our partners, we were 'kidnapped' and brought into the club, so don't take it personally." Han was hard at work as he added some herbs to the boiling pot at the stove, under Padme's watchful eye. Din was surprised to see how confident Han was in the kitchen and with his mother-in-law. Din had seen him be on edge when in the same room as Anakin Skywalker, so this was a true change of character. But Din understood, Padme had that way of being that made you be calm in her presence. Din knew that Luke share that trait with her, always so quick to make both Grogu and Din be at ease in his presence. Oh no.
"Luke and Grogu!" How could he be so stupid as to forget? As he stood up, Cody got next to him and forced him to settle him down back in the chair.
"Easy there, don't worry. Luke knows that you are safe, and we made sure that those groceries you were carrying got home to them. It's been taken care of." Din could breath easier at that, finally taking a small sip of the wine as he let the adrenaline go. Hera offered to refill it and he accepted, as Fox crossed his arms and shot his brother a scowl from the other end of the bar.
"You better not have given our position or meeting away, Cody!"
"Not very secretive to be in the only Hotel in town, Fox."
"Fox still thinks we should keep these meetings as secret as possible, as if by now, over 20 years after the fact, the whole Galaxy was not aware of our relationships." Bly offered, sitting next to Din and blocking a fuming Fox.
"Those security measures kept us safe, Bly! What do you think would have happened had Palpatine figured it out?"
"Death most certainly but he has been dead for decades Fox! If we want to hang out, we can do so like normal people!" Bly had turned now to address Fox and they continued squabbling.
"Now, its more about keeping it secret from our partners, or rather, Fox's." Hera offered, as she helped Padme with some sandwhiches and passed those around too.
"IF VOS FINDS OUT HE WILL CRASH OUR MEETINGS!" This seemed to be a common phrase from Fox, as Din saw Bly, who had turned his back to Fox to face Din, mimic his sentence in an exaggerated manner for everyone's amusement. Fox still noticed though and tackled Bly to the ground, but no one batted an eye to this or stopped them either.
Din remembered then that everyone here was supposed to be at his and Luke's home later in teh evening and couldn't fathom how they were keeping it all a secret. He was sure that Luke would have asked after his whereabouts, regardless of Cody being the one to explain Din was safe.
"What exactly does Luke think I am doing?"
"Told him I needed your Bounty Hunter expertise for something. Obi Wan knew I had some last minute business and that I would arrive earlier to get your input, he should still be on his way with Anakin and Leia, we still have that congratulary dinner to get to at your place tonight after all."
"And everyone else?" He turned to Han and Hera. Han answered first, finally getting away from the stove. He took the sandwich Padme offered and leaned against the fridge.
"I was already with Padme on some business, so I offered to bring her with me. As far as Leia knows, we are still on our way." He dove into the food as Hera explained next.
"Kanan thinks I'm wrapping up some business too, he was dropping off Jacen and we will meet at your place."
"I'm on my way from Tatooine and Cal should still be on route from Coruscant." Boba had already finsihed his own sandwich as Din was barely on his first bite. His cousin was grabbing onto Bly's plate when Padme wacked him with a spatula. She motioned for him to make his second sandwich himself as she turned to the two still on the floor.
"Fox, Bly! Stop playing and come get your sandwich or I'm giving them to Boba!"
That got them both off the floor quick. Padme smiled and nodded as she saw them take their plates, finally diving into their own. Din was still confused on one thing though, which he couldn't help but voice.
"Why bring me in now? Because we invited you today?"
"Oh no, we were just waiting for you and Luke to finally admit it to each other." Hera explained.
"We … didn't want to push you into something you might not actually want." Bly offered sheepishly.
"Even if it was very painfully obvious. OW!" Han had smacked in the stomach by Padme, who just smiled serenely towards Din as if nothing had happened.
"Even if you hadn't actually gotten with Luke we had a backup plan, you still have a child who is force sensitive, I know what that feels like, and so does Hera." Both mothers looked at each other and then to Din, who felt better about all of this.
"It always better when you know you have people in your corner who understand the realities of having Force users around." Cody's tone was full of wisdom, gaze momentarily lost in the past and in his own insecurities when he first started seeing Obi Wan.
"Yeah, the realities that they will pull the craziest osik and blame it all on the Force." Boba chirped in, and Cody had to agree. Both had more than once compared notes and guessed that like with orange tookas, red-headed Jedi were some of the most unexpected types of Jedi in terms of what they would try to pull and then blame it all on 'the will of the Force'.
"Seriously, Din, we aren't just saying it, if you ever need anything, you can come to any of us." Bly had finished his sandwich and proceeded to the kitchen to wash the dishes, patting Din's shoulder as he went.
"Or if you just need to vent, we got a group chat that is only for documenting the wild Force osik of every day life." Han had started it, and he was very proud of the secret shots of the craziest things he had caught Leia doing.
He didn't know what to say, but he felt he would make a fool of himself if he tried to speak pass the lump in his throat and preferred to keep quiet. He had been apprehensive in hosting the big dinner tonight, he knew everyone here, most were his family, and many others', family to Luke. As Hera and Fox got close to add him to the various chats, he considered that this was definitely a good surprise.
As Padme asked after Grogu, Din was encouraged to share as many crazy stories as he wanted, and he felt good once he got going and found all the others sharing in similar stories. Padme and Hera, as the other parents to Force Sensitive Children, gave him tips on how to Force proof the upper cabinets to stop Grogu from getting cookies whenever he wanted. So far, Din and Luke had hidden them, but Grogu was good at catching Luke in the act of getting the snacks and then going back for more. He also learned that Obi Wan was, like Luke, very likely to set things floating if left too long to his mediation. Cody had to force his husband to communicate when he would do longer meditation sessions on harder days, so that Cody could be prepared to time him and have food and water ready for the drop after. He also caught snippets of Fox talking to Boba on their own Jedi's particular brand of abilities, Boba sharing some recent incident that had left Cal very distraught on some memories on old Jedi texts he found on a mission. Fox had his own stories and offered to share some of the tea that helped calm down Quinlan when he had tough visions.
Upon hearing the word tea, Han had to intervene saying that he felt that the last tea Cody had recommended to calm Leia's excessive energy had done the opposite of calming her down. At that, Padme and Bly interjected on how to best burn that energy when meditation didn't really work on their own Jedi. From what Din understood, not all Jedi could calm down by simply mediating, like Luke, Obi Wan and Kanan preferred traditional meditation. Some, like Cal and Quinlan, would need to tire themselves out first before meditating; while Anakin, Leia and Aayla would be the kind who any sort of calm meditation would leave them more cranky than relaxed. Din could understand that, Grogu was more manageable if he was allowed to play first, otherwise he would not accept quiet, sitting meditation. Jacen, Hera mentioned, was much the same, and from what Padme shared, it was common for young Force users to be the same way. As children, neither Leia or Luke had wanted to stay still in meditation, Anakin and Obi Wan had to tire them out first so they could properly have a calm mind. On the other hand, Cody mentioned, Obi Wan had a very hard time with a young Anakin, who had never taken to meditating as a young boy. Obi Wan had instead opted for moving meditation, which left Anakin more calm and collected than forcing him to sit down in the traditional way. Hera felt that maybe she would bring it up to Kanan for their son, and Cody told her that Obi Wan would love nothing else than to talk on his tips on raising the "Choosen One".
Topics changed quickly and everyone was in more than one conversation with some other little group, and Din sat and took it all in. He noticed Padme by the stove and helped her in checking for salt as she was too short for the big pot. She was going to bring it for tonight's dinner and Din was grateful to have her do most of the talking. He loved that soon, Fox had taken out more beer and everyone was relaxed and happy, and Din felt content. He felt better and he didn't even know he had felt in any distress before. It was not how his day was planned but he already knew his life was anything but normal. He hadn't realized he might need someone to ask whenever something that Luke taught Grogu left him confused but also made him feel stupid for not knowing, scared to ask. But those around him understood him, and that left him strangely comforted. He felt happy, and couldn't wait to get home to Luke and Grogu, to share this precious moments with his new family.
-----
On the other side of the town, on the outskirts, Luke felt a small disturbance as he and Grogu meditated. The Force wasn't warning him of any danger, but rather seemed to be … amused. Then, his door was thrown open, and Quinlan Vos barged in with a bunch of bags, most of beverages if the clanking was anything to go by. Behind him, all of his guests for the evening also entered, the loudest being his father and sister. For a moment, Luke panicked in thinking that he had somehow gotten too lost in mediation again and that the time for the dinner was upon them already. But then he saw the sun shining through the window, still high up in the sky signaling it was still before midday.
His father quickly grabbed him into a tight hug and lifted him from the ground, as Leia picked up Grogu. Quinlan was already making a ruckus in the kitchen and thankfully he saw Aayla follow to babysit her old Master. As Luke was losing breath in his lungs, his Uncle Obi Wan finally rescued him, but Anakin still held onto him, using him as a head rest. Neither him or Leia had grown as tall as Anakin and he delighted in reminding them about it.
Freed of his father's embrace, Luke also spotted Cal and Kanan now sat at the living room, cooing at Grogu who had been given some cookies by Leia and had run to be picked up by Cal. Grogu loved visiting Cal and Boba and their pet rankor, which left Din a bundle of nerves but Luke knew it was good for Grogu to have the chance to interact with all manner of creatures. As he was about to try to get away from Anakin for a moment to close the door, his trusty Artoo wheeled in, bickering with Threepio as the golden robot carried some more bags. Almost tripping Threepio was a small, white and red blur that went straight for Grogu. Luke recognized it as Cal's robot BD-1. Then, an orange and louder robotic voice hailed the entrance of Chopper, who also gave commentary on whatever Artoo was fighting Threepio about, for which the golden protocol droid took great offense as Chopper, Artoo and Anakin laughed. Finally, Ahsoka and Rex came in and close the door, his father's Padawan finally able to pull Luke away from Anakin to give him their own hugs.
"Not that I am not happy to see everyone, but the dinner was later in the evening wasn't it? I didn't mess up the invite?"
"Not at all, my little Sunburst! We just decided to take advantage of the other early get-together to come keep you company!" Anakin grabbed him again from Rex's side, leaving the Commander to roll his eyes and go say hello to Grogu in the living room.
"Get together?" Luke was very confused.
"The "In Love with a Jedi Support Group." Cal offered as he bounced Grogu up and down, BD cooing from his shoulder as the toodler happily babbled away at them.
"The-what?"
"Luke, we are going to need more wine glasses! You only have 4!" Quinlan shouted from the kitchen, sticking his head out.
"Uhm, Din went out to the market, he should be back soon with some more-"
"Ehhhh, actually, he was kidnapped so he'll be kinda late." Anakin said, going to try to take Grogu from Cal. The little one instead floated himself to Kanan, leaving a pouting Anakin, who mimed himself crying and dropping to the floor. Luke would have found it hilarious that Grogu was always a little mean towards Anakin for some reason whenever they met but was still worried that his boyfriend was kidnapped and no one around was at all worried.
"Kidnapped!?"
"I have the items he bought Master Luke! Not to worry!" Now looking closely, Grogu could see the bags were the ones Din had taken to the market with him, inside all the items they had been missing for their dinner. Aayla heard him and called out from the kitchen herself.
"Bring them here to the kitchen, Threepio!" Ahsoka helped him with one of the bags, but as they passed by the fake-crying Anakin who was still sobbing loudly for Grogu, she tossed and hit him in the head with a packet of cookies. Anakin immediately changed his tune and was easily the toddler's favorite from then on out. Rex, Cal, Leia and Kanan took turns in giving Grogu a cookie.
"Quin, it's too early for wine. Leave that for the evening dinner." Obi Wan had gone to help out in the kitchen, his voice carrying easily. Luke still felt rooted to the spot by the breakfast nook that was cleared for morning meditation. He walked towards his father, who was now again grumpy that someone else had Grogu's attention, Leia sticking her tongue out at him over Grogu's head.
"Dad, what do you mean Din was kidnapped?"
"It's never too early for wine, I say you open the bottle Quin." Anakin, forever happy to do and say the opposite of his old Master, gave a thumbs up to Quinlan who wasted no time, despite Obi Wan's clear annoyed look. Ahsoka and Aayla simply shared a laugh, both drinking water but accepting glasses of wine nonetheless.
"Dad!"
"He is safe Luke, he is with the others." Anakin offered, not all bother by his son's rising panic.
"What others?" Luke felt like he was going crazy. Finally, Ahsoka took pity on him and came by to direct him to the open spot on the sofa, giving everyone else a glass of wine except Anakin.
"Ok, ok, let me explain kiddo. During the Clone Wars, Cody, Fox and Bly where stumped in their secret relationships to Jedi so they formed a little club." She said. Anakin swipped her glass and took a big gulp, then yelped when a pillow was thrown at his face and the glass taken out of his hands. Grogu found great joy in that and attempted to do the same, encouraged by Cal and Leia.
"My sweet Angel found out and joined in to impart her wisdom." Anakin was so distracted by the mention of his wife, he never saw the 4 pillows coming straight for his head.
"A blessing, I was tired of them venting when we went out in between campaigns." Rex had no need for the Force, he just straight hit Anakin in teh back of the head with his own pillow, then gestured to Ahsoka who was behind Anakin. She directed two more pillows and both hit Anakin when Rex ducked down.
"But you said he got kidnapped?" Luke was still weary, they had yet to be attacked by people looking for the Darksaber here in their peaceful home, but both him and Din knew the leftover Death Watch members were relentless. He wasn't as panicked, if Din was with Cody, Fox and Bly, he could breath easier at least. His uncles were the most capable men he knew.
"Oh, don't worry, that's Fox trying to keep it all 'secret' because I tried to catch him the first few times way back when." Quinlan had finally come around, Aayla with him. She was carrying Anakin's glass with her, which he thank her. "It was a game between us. He still thinks that I don't know and will crash their party if I found out. Jokes on him, when I got wind of it, I just went for Obes and Aayla and we got our own club starte to gossip."
"Once your mother joined them, I got Anakin and we have been recruiting every time they do." Obi Wan sat down beside him, giving Grogu a sippy cup with blue milk and more cookies, which the baby squealed at and then proceeded to use the older man's lap as his seat to enjoy his snacks. Luke could only hope Grogu would take his lunch without much fuzz later on.
"It was nice, if a little weird when I teased Bly and he tried to keep it a secret." Aayla shared, leading to others to chuckle as well. Bly was a terrible liar, and it was funny to picture him trying.
"Yeah, no one but Fox is keeping it 'secret', Boba told me the minute he was on route when Fox tried to get him. Gave me updates all the way until he was sure it was just his brother being weird." Cal was now holding onto BD, who was trying to draw Grogu's attention. Chopper however, was taking all the attention as he showed Grogu some of the coloring pages he stored.
"Paranoid, you mean. But yeah, Fox gets all new members kidnapped to 'test them', or so Hera has said." Kanan was watching his droid closely, making sure he wouldn't take out the flamethrower to boast about it to Artoo, who also had coloring books and crayons for Grogu, each droid very competative if left un supervised.
"So, why not just let them know you all know about it?" Luke could not understand on keeping it a secret. Quinlan quickly shook his hands, laughing a little.
"No no, that's the fun part! Fox pretends that I don't know and gets to relieve some adrenaline from the old Guard mission days."
"Din is fine Luke, Cody assured me he was given the quick neutralizer when he passed me the bags." Obi Wan was as serene as ever, even if Luke's stomach dropped. But he had to admit that his uncle was right. Din would be in no danger, if by his calculations, Fox, Cody, Bly, Boba, Hera, Han and his own mother were with him.
"But, why now?" He had a feeling on the reason it had just happened, considering Din had been someone known to most of them for years.
"Because you finally got off you ass and confessed, little brother." Leia smirked and Luke had to resist the urge to stick his tongue out when he noticed that Grogu was looking at him. He still glared towards his twin.
"Language!" Obi Wan, Kanan and Anakin all shouted.
"I'm older than you!" Luke couldn't resist firing back, though.
"By a minute!"
"As if this little tyke didn't hear worse from Boba." Cal commented to the room at large, leading most to either nod or roll their eyes. Boba Fett had always been very expressive with his language, regardless of who was present, despite his older siblings attempts to get him to stop swearing so much.
"Cal, do not encourage this." Kanan lamented, knowing it was impossible that his son wouldn't have heard such language from Chopper, who just laughed as if he knew what the Jedi was thinking.
"I'm just saying. He doesn't mind, right little frog terrorizer?" Grogu had hopped down from Obi Wan's lap, dodged Anakin's attempts to pick him up and aksed Cal instead, who gladly took him.
"Patu!"
"How about some lunch?"Ahsoka offered, standing up and stretching her back.
"Yes, Quin only brought alcohol." Aayla mentioned, as Quinlan looked offended.
"It was a priority! I know they are drinking too!"
"I was going to go and get some takeout." Luke said, remembering his plan to surprise Din with food when he arrived.
"No need, we'll get it. C'mon Rexy. From that Alderaanian place Luke?" Ahsoka was often at their place and she knew all the best spots by now for takeout.
"Yeah." Luke said, standing up to get the menu from the kitchen.
"Gotcha, you guys look over the menu and let us know. Should only take us 10 minutes to get there." Ahsoka grabbed Grogu from Cal's lap, ignoring the huff from the red head and his attempts to retrieve the toddler, who was happy to be so high up.
"Grogu you're coming with us! Droids! We are rolling out! C'mon!"
"Right behind you Miss Ahsoka!"
"I could go with you-" Luke started to offer, before he was pull back by Obi Wan and Anakin.
"No no, you stay and unwind, talk about your boyfriend with the others and we'll handle the food. As honorary members of both 'secret' clubs, we are here to get you what you need. We'll also pop in after to check on the others, make sure Fox hasn't taken it too hard with the bets." Rex mentioned, following after his partner in crime behind the line of droids now headed for the door. He was glad Anakin had repaired Threepio so he was much faster now and less clunky when walking.
"Honorary members?"
"Ahsoka and Rex hang out in both groups for the entertainment, or so they say." Cal said, arms still crossed as both his droid and his favorite toddler left him.
"We like being informed and getting all the gossip. And taking care of the little ones and droids too. It's too bad Jacen couldn't make it this time." Ahsoka remarked, bouncing Grogu, who wanted to ride on top of Artoo. She let him, but kept close.
"He has been pestering us about going to visit Mace for months now, we had no idea Din would be drafted so soon. My bet was till the end of the year. I'll make sure to bring him next time." Kanan remarked, and then blanched when he realized his slip. He took a big gulp of his wine as Luke turned to him in suspicion.
"Shh, Kanan!" Aayla said, but it was too late.
"What bet?"
"No bet, nothing at all!" Anakin tried to stall, avoiding his son's stare as he tried to gather the secrets of the Force on his wine.
"That reminds me! Luke, I lost so many credits! That rat of Ohnaka got the biggest cut! You really couldn't wait two more weeks?" Quinlan whined, as he got pillows to the face now.
"Or been quicker by like 3 days?" Cal mentioned.
"I think the way they finally got together is very cute!" Aayle had also betted, but she wasn't going to add more fuel to the fire, unlike Anaking who chirped next.
"You didn't have so many credits riding on this, Aayla!"
"Dad! Not you as well!" Luke couldn't believe his family would bet on him and Din. Then he thought about for ten seconds and found out he could, actually, believe it.
"I think it was cute too." Obi Wan said, the picture of poise, until Leia called him out.
"Uncle, you also got a big cut, don't think I didn't find out!"
"Obi Wan!" Luke should have expected it.
"Obes!" Quinlan was not expecting it seemed.
"You liar! You told me you hadn't betted!" Anakin laughed, as Ahsoka and Rex stood by the door, watching as Artoo got farther away with a toddler on top of him.
"Yeah, ooook! Don't forget to look at that menu! Bye!" With that, they closed the door and left the bickering behind them. They were glad that there was forest all around, it sounded like Luke was now going full Padme on Anakin and the others.
"Who do you think Luke will go for first?" Rex wondered, as they caught up with the droids. Threepio had taken to watching over Grogu to make sure he didn't fall.
"Not Luke, Anakin and Quin will definitely get to Obi Wan before Luke even thinks about it."
"Hmm yeah. So, should we get our own lunch and then ask for their order?"
"Oh you bet, afterwards we should see how the others are doing. Cody wanted to make sure they wouldn't miss the dinner." Ahsoka remarked, smiling down at Grogu, who was having so much fun riding Artoo.
"Padme and Hera are there, how crazy could it get with them? Also, you know Din is responsible enough he won't forget." Rex said, but Ahsoka just scoffed.
"You forget that time they got Han to join, Padme was the one who had the idea of going to the zoo and Hera encouraged it." That had been a meeting they had spend with the Non-Sensitives, and it had been a crazy night. They were glad that Padme how covered up, otherwise the papers would have had a field day. Ahsoka had known that Padme and Anakin fit so well precisely because they shared a unique brand of crazy, that their children had ten-fold.
"I forget Anakin's craziness is contagious. Alright, how about it, Grogu? Want to eat something and then get to see your uncle Boba?" Rex had gotten Grogu up and placed him on his shoulders, to the toddler's delight.
"Patu!"
An hour later, everyone's comms went off when the Holo news started reporting of a bunch of Death Watch who had attemped to kidnapped Grogu and had been taken down by two flamethrowing droids, a Jedi Knight, a Clone Commander, a golden protocol droid who fretted about and a tiny BD droid. Ahsoka and Rex had attemped to get Grogu out of the fight, but BD-1 had electrocuted someone and almost been trampled, so Grogu had jumped in, which prompted Artoo and Chopper to start blasting everyone around. Threepio had panicked and sent the massive message right before the news had gone live and that's how everyone got to meet up earlier than expected back at Din and Luke's.
No one mentioned either 'secret' meeting, but they did enjoy their time together very much. Especially when Grogu got fed more blue cookies than he ever had, given that everyone kept slipping them when no one else was looking. Any he didn't eat once full, BD gave to Chopper to store. Artoo didn't do it because he would be the obvious choice and he kept Threepio occupied as he was 'worried for the sugar intake of the infant'. Kanan still caught them but Grogu had already passed out by then, leaving the adults to their own devices. Din and Luke kept shooting each other looks, each thinking how lucky they were to have such a loving family to have their back.
Thank you for reading till the end! May the Force be with You!

The Misunderstanding (A CodyWan Story)
Summary: Cody and Obi Wan are still trying to figure out the intricacies in the early days of their relationship. When a miscommunication threatens to derail everything, they must both be vulnerable enough to talk it out.
Tumblr media
Cody quietly rolled out of bed. It was still the middle of the night cycle, but he needed to leave before his presence in the temple became an issue. The bright lights of Coruscant shone through the large, arched window to the right of the bed, illuminating the far wall.
He pulled on his blacks and worked to pick up the pieces of his armor that were scattered on the floor. Obi Wan huffed in his sleep, rolling over so his sandy hair fell over his eyes. Cody smiled, the great Jedi master, Obi Wan Kenobi, curled up like a little loth cat, tangled in bedsheets.
“Something amusing, Commander?” Obi Wan asked sleepily.
Cody chuckled, “Of course not. Sorry I woke you,” he said, walking softly over and sitting on the edge of the bed, “I have to go.”
Obi Wan propped himself up on his elbow, his free hand brushing the hair out of his face, a wry smile on his lips. “And why do you have to do that?”
Cody rolled his eyes, “You know as well as I do if I’m found wandering around the temple in the morning, the rumor mill will start.”
“I would theorize that you wandering around in the middle of the night cycle would have much the same effect,” Obi Wan said, cocking his head to the side, eyebrow raised, “come back to bed.”
“I can’t. There are some reports I need to finish, and we need to protect…”
“Don’t say my blushes, Cody, I assure you it is entirely unnecessary.” Obi Wan said with a grin.
“Fine, but what about mine?” Cody replied.
“You wouldn’t be the first to have a dalliance with your general. Look at your friend Bly. He and Aayla are practically married.”
Cody paused, his eyes on his hands, “Is that what this is? A dalliance?”
Obi Wan huffed and sat up, “Of course not,” he said gently, his hand reaching up and tracing the scar on the left side of Cody’s face. “You know that’s not the case. I didn’t mean it that way.”
Cody nodded, suddenly feeling out of his depth. What had started as a stollen kiss in a hidden alley had become an all-consuming and incredibly complicated relationship. They were together almost every day in an official capacity as General and Commander. He knew that Obi Wan cared for him, cared for all the clones, often putting himself in incredibly dangerous situations so he might save them.
And for his part Cody was more than willing to die for the Republic, and for Obi Wan specifically. He would trade his life for him every time, even before their relationship had changed. But could he even call it that? Somedays it was all business, war, fighting, exhaustion, and others they were meeting each other in low lit spaces in camps across the galaxy, acting like lovesick natborns.
“You are conflicted,” Obi Wan said, his thumb gently drawing circles on Cody’s cheek.
“And you’re tired. Get some rest. I’ll see you later.” Cody said, leaning in to kiss the Jedi’s soft lips, his well-groomed beard tickling his chin. Obi Wan’s hand tightened around Cody’s jaw as he started to pull away, kissing him deeper.
When they finally parted, Cody smiled, brushing the hair out of Obi Wan’s eyes. “I’ll see you in a few hours.” he said.
“Uh,” Obi Wan said as he collapsed back into the bed, pulling the covers around himself, “that seems entirely too long, but if you insist, Commander.”
Cody pressed the door release and walked out into the dimly lit hall of the jedi temple. He only had to walk through a few corridors before getting to the more public sections. Once there, he wouldn’t look quite so out of place.
He turned to head down the corridor and collided with a tall figure in long, black robes.
“Commander?” Anikin Skywalker said, a confused expression on his face.
“General Skywalker, Sir. I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
“It’s no problem. Is everything alright?” Anakin asked, his eyes flicking to Obi Wan’s chamber doors.
“Ah, yes sir. General Kenobi and I were working on some…battle plans.” Cody lied, knowing very well a jedi would be able to sense deception easily. He wished the floor would swallow him or Obi Wan would wake up and come up with a better excuse.
Anakin simply rolled his eyes, “Eh, it’s the middle of the night and we’re not on an active battlefield. He works you too hard. Do you want me to have a word with him?”
“Oh, ah no sir. It’s okay. War doesn’t sleep, you know.”
Anakin stoked his chin thoughtfully, “I suppose not. Still, I’ll tell him to go easy on you. You need your sleep too, Cody.”
“That’s very kind of you, Sir.” He replied. Sleep was currently the furthest thing from Cody’s mind.
“It’s fine, I had to talk to him about keeping Fox out late a couple of weeks ago. Some business with the criminal underground. Honestly, does the man not sleep?” Anakin said, knocking on the door with his gloved right hand.
Cody froze, his ears buzzing and stomach dropping, “You said with Fox, Sir?”
“Yeah. Such an insufferable clone.” He said absentmindedly as he banged in the door again, “Oh, excuse me, Commander, I meant no disrespect. He’s just…It’s funny you two obviously look so similar but are completely different.” Anakin said with a chuckle, “Come on Obi Wan, I need to talk to you.”
“Well, er…goodnight, General,” Cody said as he turned to leave. He was halfway down the hallway before he heard Obi Wan open the door.
“Oh, it’s you, Anakin. I thought you might be someone else. What troubles you at this late hour?”
Cody lingered long enough to see the door close and walked solemnly out of the temple, not running into any questioning Jedi the rest of the way.
***
Obi Wan woke with a groan and reached next to him, only to remember that Cody had left hours ago. It was strange how quickly he had gotten used to his commander’s presence in his home, and in his bed. He wasn’t a stranger to the occasional liaison, which he was freely able to enjoy per the Jedi code, but the situation with Cody was different somehow and while he was cautious not to get too attached, he found himself longing for his presence at every opportunity.
Of course, he had been in relationships before. He had even considered quitting the order entirely for Satine, but he had never trusted anyone as implicitly as Cody, not only with his safety and his life, but with his heart and soul as well.
He groaned again as his alarm sounded. He was sure one of these nights he would revel in undisturbed sleep, but last night was not the night. He had finally managed to push a sulking Anakin out the door as Coruscant’s artificial sun started to rise. He would be late this morning but didn’t much care.
After a quick stop in the fresher and some clean robes, he stopped by the council room for new orders. He and the 212th would be heading out later that day with Anakin and his 501st in tow. As taxing as the war was, Obi Wan enjoyed getting away from the capital and seeing the galaxy, even if it wasn’t exactly on his terms.
It was also easier to catch slivers of time with Cody in a more relaxed setting when they weren’t under the watchful eye of the council or being shot at, of course.
Despite his bravado, Obi Wan was well aware of the trouble that would arise if his relationship with Cody were to be discovered. At the very least, their working partnership would be terminated, and he would be given a new commander.
His shuttle from the temple dropped him off in front of the battle memorial. His eyes traced over the endless clone numbers listed. He wondered if perhaps it would have been a better show to include their names, after all, no clone he had ever met had willingly gone by his number.
The venator had been undergoing some maintenance while they were stationed at the capital. Obi Wan was glad it hadn’t taken as long as expected. While the temple would always be his home, the proximity to the senate and politics always gave him a rather unpleasant headache.
He smiled as he made his way to the command center, nodding politely as clones saluted him as he passed.
“Ah Cody, there you are.” He said with a grin on his face. His mind flashed back to the previous night, and he had to fight to contain his blush. Thank the force there weren’t many people around.
The commander was at the helm, his helmet tucked under his arm, a data pad in his other hand.
“General,” he said curtly.
Obi Wan’s smile faltered slightly at his Commander’s tone. As far as he knew they had left things rather pleasantly in the middle of the night, however, Cody’s demeanor indicated otherwise.
“Are we ready?” Obi Wan asked, walking over to him and looking at the holographic battle plan casting blue light over the room.
“Affirmative, Sir. All men are on board. We are ready when you are.” Cody said, failing to make eye contact with him.
“Wonderful news,” Obi Wan said jovially, “you may depart when ready.”
“Sir,” Cody said before turning and leaving the room.
Obi Wan followed, his pace quickening to catch up with the commander in the bright white hallways. He brushed his hair out of his face hurriedly, “Commander, may I have a word?”
Cody had put his helmet on since leaving, making it impossible to detect his facial expressions, not that Obi Wan had to rely on that, he had the force. Cody hesitated as his General called him, however, indicating that he did not want to stop.
“Is everything okay, Commander?” he asked, stepping aside as a battalion made their way through the halls.
“Yes, Sir. We are on schedule.” Cody said robotically.
Obi Wan chuckled and moved closer as the final stragglers hurried out of the way, “that is not what I meant. Are you okay?” he asked again, his voice lower so as not to be overheard.
“Yes, Sir,” Cody said again, his feet shifting as though desperate to keep moving, but realizing he hadn’t been dismissed.
Obi Wan stroked his chin, a calming habit he’d picked up in his early days of training Anakin, “I see. Perhaps we can discuss this later,” he said pointedly.
“As you wish, Sir.” Cody replied before walking down the corridor alone.
Obi Wan fought the urge to follow him, the glow from last night fizzling in the sterile, white halls as he watched his Commander walk away from him.
***
“We’ve still got a few hours in hyperspace before we arrive. Why don’t you and your men get some rest, Obi Wan.” Anakin said on the bridge. “Rex and I will keep an eye on things.”
“A splendid idea, Anakin after my rather rude awakening this morning,” Obi Wan said with a smirk to Cody.
“If you’ll remember, I did apologize.” Anakin said pointedly.
“Yes, I do remember from the depth of my sleep deprived brain.”
Cody was glad he could hide his smile behind his helmet as Anakin rolled his eyes dramatically, “Go to bed, old man. I’ll call you when the fight starts.”
“You’re too kind.” Obi Wan said with a smile to his former padawan, “Come, Cody, we are dismissed.”
Cody nodded and followed Obi Wan out, instantly darting to the left and to the barracks where he could finally get some rest. Obi Wan followed, his feet in step with his own.
Despite his best efforts he hadn’t been able to avoid the General on the ship. His mind kept jumping back to his conversation with Anakin and the implication that Obi Wan could be sleeping his way through the GAR.
Cody tried to tell himself that it didn’t matter. The General was a flirt of the highest order, his silver tongue had even made Ventress pause on occasion. But he couldn’t help feeling hurt, like he was replaceable, just another clone in the sky-blue eyes of his commanding officer.
“Would you care for a nightcap?” Obi Wan asked, pausing at the door to his quarters. The hallway was empty, and the pull of the General’s silky tone and smirking lips made Cody’s resolve falter.
“I…I think I should probably get some rest, Sir.” He said. He couldn’t help his voice from sounding formal. His hurt was choking him, and he was lucky his voice was working at all.
“Cody,” Obi Wan said softly, his eyes darting left and right to make sure the corridor was clear. “Please, I don’t understand what’s wrong. I assume I have done something…”
Cody shuffled his feet and looked down, “This isn’t the place for this conversation, Sir” he said at last, the anxious feeling in his stomach eating away at him.
Obi Wan pressed his hand to the door release and walked inside, “Then, may I suggest an alternative location,” he said, perfectly framed in the middle of the door, a glass of amber liquid already in his hand.
He was smooth, Cody had to give him that. With a sigh of frustration, he followed his commander into the dark room.
The Jedi barracks on this venator were much more pleasant than those for Clones. It was to be expected, of course, but Obi Wan’s quarters wouldn’t have been out of place at the temple. Reed mats covered the floor. A small cushion on top for meditation. A bed, larger than the bunk Cody slept on, was pushed against the far wall.
Obi Wan handed him a drink as soon as he placed his helmet on one of the many bookcases in the room.
“Thank you.” He said, downing the whole drink in one.
Obi Wan raised his eyebrows, “I see. It’s going to be one of those conversations, is it?” He sat down on the edge of the bed, one leg over the other and held up his drink in salute before downing it in one gulp as well.
Cody put the glass down and stood awkwardly in front of the Jedi. At some point, one of them would have to start talking and as he was the one with the issue, it was likely going to be him.
“You still seem conflicted, my dear, Commander…”
Cody hesitated, not wanting to feel vulnerable or stung but knowing if he didn’t say something, it would be impossible to work with the General in the same capacity. That realization scared him more than he cared to admit.
Cody cleared his throat, hoping to rid himself of the stone that had been lodged in it all day.
“This…’dalliance’ of ours…” His use of the word made Obi Wan flinch, “I…um…how many others do you currently have?”
“Other…dalliances?” Obi Wan asked, leaning forward so his forearms were on his thighs. “My dear Cody, I only have eyes for you these days, I’m afraid.”
Cody pursed his lips skeptically.
“You don’t believe me?” Obi Wan asked, a smirk forming on his lips and having the opposite intended effect on his Commander.
“You are quite the flirt, Sir.” Cody said before his brain could stop him.
Obi Wan laughed outright now, “Don’t be ridiculous. I am not.”
Cody tried to stop himself but felt a smile cross his lips, “Obi Wan, you flirt with clones, Jedi, even Ventress,”
“It’s all in good fun. If I didn’t banter with her, she’d have killed me twice by now.”
“Fox,” Cody added, his chestnut eyes trained on the Jedi to see his reaction.
“Commander Fox?” The General asked, his eyebrows creased in confusion. “I rarely interact with…oh” he said finally, his eyes growing wide. “Did you, perchance, run into Anakin this morning?”
Cody felt heat climb into his cheeks, “Briefly, yes.”
He watched Obi Wan take a deep breath and shake his head, “I’m assuming he told you I worked late with Fox a week or so ago?”
“Yes, in the same way we work late, I’m assuming.” Cody asked, suddenly feeling bold.
“No. Fox had a suspect who gave him my name. He came for assistance to interrogate him as I had met with him before. It was work, Cody, nothing more.”
Cody felt his stomach flip. Was it relief or fear that he had already ruined something so new? He felt limp and silly and wasn’t sure what to do with his body.
Obi Wan set his glass down on the bed and crossed quickly to the Commander. “I am sorry if you were hurt by Anakin’s miscommunication. I meant what I said. Since that kiss in the alleyway and a long time before, I have only had eyes for you, dear Cody. You were right this morning, we do have to be careful to spare each other’s blushes, but I am willing to do so, if you are.”
Cody’s heart thumped in his chest, “I am.” Cody said.
Obi Wan smiled as Cody wrapped his fingers in the Jedi’s robes and pulled him into a kiss.
“I do have one final question…” Obi Wan said
“What’s that?” Cody asked, his forehead on Obi Wan’s, his eyes lingering on his lips.
“Would you like to take a nap with me?”
Cody laughed and nodded, “Absolutely.”
They both crawled into the soft bed, Obi Wan tucking his head under Cody’s chin as the clone wrapped his strong arms around him. Cody smiled as he heard the Jedi’s soft breathing before finally drifting off to sleep.
***
Cody woke with a start as the alarm sounded, signaling 15 minutes until they came out of hyperspace. He ran his hand through his hair and turned to look at his sleeping Jedi, curled up next to him.
“Stay a few more minutes,” Obi Wan grumbled, his eyes still closed.
“No time.” Cody said, leaning over and kissing him hastily.
Obi Wan’s eyes shot open, his hand pulling Cody closer so he couldn’t escape just yet.
“Obi Wan, I have to go.”
The General sighed, “I know. I’ll see you out there,” he said, with a smirk. “You should be clear.”
Cody nodded as he threw his bucket over his head and pressed the door release. He was a few steps out of the room when he saw Rex round the corner.
“Rex, any updates?” he asked.
The captain matched his pace, “We’re gunna be in for it when we drop out of hyperspace. Better get ready,”
“We’re always ready, aren’t we?" Cody said with a chuckle.
“I suppose so” the clone responded. He looked back at the door Cody had just come out of, “glad you made up,” he said with a wink.
Cody froze, “What?”
Rex stopped and made sure no one could overhear, “I knew something was off between you two. I’m assuming you’re back on track?”
“Rex, I…”
“Don’t worry, it’s our little secret. Just glad to see you happy, Vod.”
Cody smiled and he watched Rex walk away with a little lap to his nose. He was happy, he thought. He looked back and Obi Wan’s door and smiled.

This fic is so well written and it has some really well-characterized OC clones, including clone medic Zero, as well as a bit of codywan (which I can't resist).
Things Hidden, Things Forgotten- sospes
Codywan, Zygerria/Kadavo arc, 23.5K
This writer has some of the best codywan fics on their roster, but this one absolutely destroys me everytime. This fic covers Zygerria and gets into some of the emotional aspects of the experience for Obi-Wan.
Shoulder the Sky - @kcrabb88
Quinobi, rewritten ending for Palpatine, 149.4K
This fic is part one of the Shoulder the Sky Verse series and is one of my favorite fics of all time. This fic is incredibly detailed, and every character get's their time in the spotlight. The Obi-Wan whump is absolutely delicious, and lasts basically the entirety of this fic. The plot follows Obi-Wan's discovery of the identity of Darth Sidious and how this changes the course of the end days of the Clone Wars.
Whispers from the Dead - @kcrabb88
Quinobi, PTSD and medical trauma, 210K as of 8.14.2023 (WIP)
Another part of the Shoulder the Sky Verse series (please read the fic above first). This fic is a WIP and every time there is a new chapter I drop everything to read it. Equally as emotionally damaging, equally as much whump, and equally perfect characterizations of every single character. I won't spoil the plot, but it's a perfect continuation of the series.
Gaping Hollow - Walpger
Gen - Obi-Wan, Cody, and Ahsoka, Force-exhaustion and hypothermia, 18.1K
Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Cody are trapped in a cave on the ice-planet Vandor and Obi-Wan uses the Force to keep them both warm and alive. This leads to impending Force-exhaustion. This is one of the earliest Obi-Wan-centric h/c fics I read and I love how the author describes Obi-Wan's use of the Force.
Enforced Convalescence - @swbumblebee
Gen - Obi-Wan, clones, and Jedi, sickfic/illness and fluff, 12.5K
Obi-Wan is ill and requires babysitting because he doesn't really know how to rest. This fic is endlessly soft, and Obi-Wan gets taken care of for once in his life. This author writes delightfully soft fics and this one is one of my absolute favorites.
Uja Nejah - @ijustreallylovedaredevil
Gen - Obi-Wan, OC clone medic Stim, clone troopers, Cody, diabetes and medical accuracy, 34.2K
Possibly my favorite fic of all time? Perhaps? Anything by whitchry9 is pure gold and this fic is only one example. This fic follows Obi-Wan's journey through his life as a Jedi diagnosed with diabetes. Deliciously whump, and my favorite OC clone medic, stim. You might as well read the whole series: a series of fics in which Obi Wan Kenobi having a disability somehow saves the galaxy
Iviin’hiibi te Tuur - @ijustreallylovedaredevil
Gen - Obi-Wan, OC clone medic Stim, clone troopers, Cody, epilepsy and medical accuracy, 16.4K
Surprise, surprise, yet another whitchry9 fic. This one is about Obi-Wan's life with epilepsy. This fic also has Stim and has a few extra oneshots that can be read with it.
every shadow - @kenobster
Gen - Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex, Ahsoka, Cody, 501st, Zygerria/Kadavo arc and recovery, 34.9K as of 8.14.2023 (WIP)
This fic is a WIP and at 3/9 chapters, so I am going to to use part of the author's summary here: "during the mass casualty event following Kadavo and Zygerria, Obi-Wan and Anakin seek ways to cope with trauma." I am absolutely glued to this fic, and have already read all three chapters multiple times.
Finding Obi-Wan - @stolen-pen-name23
Gen - Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka, amnesia and angst, 86.8K
For the record, I think I read the entirety of this fic in one day because I just couldn't put it down. In this fic, Obi-Wan loses his memory and finds himself in the lower levels of Coruscant.
something inside this heart has died (you're in ruins) - revanchxst (BadWolfGirl01)
Codywan (implied or pre-slash), Zygerria/Kadavo arc, 22.6K
In this fic, Cody joins Obi-wan on the Zygerria arc rather than Rex. Very painful with a sprinkling of codywan. 1000 kudos for this fic.
The Consequences of a Crash - happygiraffe
Gen or pre-slash Obi-Wan & Anakin, crash-landing injury/infection, 44.9K
ALRIGHT. Alright. This is the first long-fic I read in this fandom, and remains one of my favorites to this day. Delicious whump, a really wonderful look at Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship, especially as Anakin has just become a Jedi Knight. I reread this one at least once a month.
See My Dreams All Die - @hellotemporaryuniverse
Obi-Wan & Cody (implied codywan), torture by Darth Sidious, 34.7K
This fic is absolutely brutal in the best way. In this fic, Anakin dies and Sidious is looking for a new apprentice. Such good whump.
From the Same Stone - @kckenobi
Gen - Obi-Wan & Anakin, concussion and poisoning, 8.1K
I'm already breaking my own rules, because this fic is under 10K, but this fic is one of my favorites and it's just long enough that it felt like it should be included on this list. In this fic, Obi-Wan and Anakin get trapped in a mine and are slowly ingesting a toxin.
|to failure, sweet victor| - littlekaracan
Codywan, angst and physical fights, 20K
This fic is as fucking bittersweet as it gets. Absolutely destroys me with every read. This fic follows Obi-Wan and Cody on Tatooine, but Cody's chip can't be removed until it has deteriorated to a certain point. As a result, sometimes Cody isn't quite himself.
battle scars - series - @calltomuster
Gen - Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Anakin, PTSD and medical trauma, 27.2K
This series gets into some of Obi-Wan's medical trauma and why avoids medical treatment. I can't get enough of the OC clone medic, Fuzzy, and I love how well the author writes Obi-Wan's PTSD.
shoulder the sky - series - Night_Fury
Codywan, Cerasi & Obi-Wan Kenobi & Nield, Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan, PTSD, temporary death, recovery, 196.1K
What can I say about this series? Probably too much. You will just need to read it to find out. Just read it.
chronic conditions - @deniigi
Codywan and clones, epilepsy and chronic illness, 13.1K
Yet another epileptic Obi-wan fic, this one through the lens of Kix and Cody. I am absolutely mesmerized by how this author writes, and I keep going back to this one over and over again.
Six Times Ahsoka Thought Her Grandmaster Was Dead, and the One Time He Actually Was - @pandora15 and lazarusII
Gen - Obi-Wan & Ahsoka, deathfic, 12.3K
The title says it all. You will be in pain.
heavy off a golden hue - @catboydogma
Codywan, hanahaki and chronic illness, 36.7K
This is a series which looks at Obi-Wan's life with chronic Hanahaki. This is such an amazing series, another set of fics I read in one sit-down.
Suddenly this is defeat - ealcynn
Gen, Landing at Point Rain and major injury, 13.3K
This fic is in first-person POV and does an incredible job of portraying Obi-Wan's perspective on the events based on the episode Landing at Point Rain.
This incessant snow - ealcynn
Gen, Landing at Point Rain and major injury, 20.7K
Part two to the above fic. Another extremely well-written fic. I absolutely adore the way Obi-Wan is written.
We Can Be Beautiful - OuzoAthena11
Codywan, panic attacks, 23.2K
The fic summary on ao3 says it best, "Five times Obi-Wan deals with anxiety or a panic attack and one time he causes minor anxiety in someone else." Really well written and soft fic.
Count My Little Scars I've Got Dozens Inside - nuclearturtle
Codywan (as adults), angst and de-aging, 27.1K
A de-aged Obi-Wan fic where Dooku attempts to gain his trust, but inevitably, doesn't. Very angsty. Extremely angsty.
Conjuring Miracles - @kcrabb88
Gen - Obi-Wan, Leia, Tala, Vader, PTSD, 29.8K
Another one by this author. In this fic, Tala doesn't get to Obi-Wan in time, and he ends up being taken with Leia to the the inquisitor base. There, he encounters Vader.
Rapture - @galateagalvanized
Codywan, depowered character, 62.5K
I think the summary on ao3 says it best, "An independent terrorist cell has developed a weapon capable of severing the bond between a Jedi and the Living Force. They test it on High General Obi-Wan Kenobi." Wonderful whump mixed with a great story, and of course, codywan.
Always Gold - happygiraffe
Gen - Obi-Wan & Anakin, terminal illness/cancer, 10K
In this fic, Obi-Wan is dying of cancer and just wants the best for his padawan. Prepare yourself, this one hurts.
As an Obi-Wan whump writer myself, I can't help but throw a couple of my own here (not that these are by any means on par with the quality of the incredible fics above). I have linked a couple below if you are interested:
orbit me slowly
Codywan, burns and recovery, 15.3K
After an injury leaves Obi-Wan down and out, he realizes that time isn't as unlimited as he once believed
green is the colour
Codywan, sickfic and injury, 14K
Obi-Wan, sick with the flu, is cornered by hundreds of droids. Cody and Anakin come to his rescue, but there is unresolved tension between them.
Hope you all enjoy this list!

Last line challenge from @biscuityskies
Actually putting two snippets in here. As a treat! I'm not sure who to tag so you can consider this your invite to post anything you want!
From my Codywan fic (on my extended Clone Wars timeline AU—this is year 7):
The journey to Moraband saw the revival of the 212th hull-ball tournaments. Cody watched Wooley lead Team Bridge Command against Team Parjai, who were the undefeated champions, in the opening rounds. Five days in, Team MedSurg upset Team Bomb Squad in the day’s quarter-finals. Cody, as the highest authority on the rules by which the game is played, found himself adjudicating point disputes. He started using his HUD to give him an action-replay to analyze particularly close calls. Watchdog acted as a second pair of eyes when necessary.  Obi-Wan commed him every night. He filled Cody in on details of his Temple life. He had been mobbed by Jedi Initiates that morning in one of the meditation halls. He was spending more time teaching. He was thinking about taking another Padawan, after the war. They spoke in code about information not available in reports: Vos was alive. Fox had eaten a meal that day. The full journey took three weeks. By the end, Parjai were still undefeated, and most of the men had moved on to gambling at cards. Vos was still alive. Fox was going for a lot of long runs.  Cody had decided somewhere around year two of the war that ferruginous planets were his least favorite. The reddish, oxidized soil rubbed into armor or mixed with sweat on skin always looked like blood. It took days to polish the red scuffs out, and that was after the actual blood was all washed away. Obi-Wan had told him that Moraband used to be known as Korriban, that it was the homeworld of the ancient Sith race. Cody was not sure what else he could have expected, other than this blood-colored mess of mountain ranges and sandstorms that vomited hundreds of thousands of battle droids into the galaxy each week. Watchdog stood with him on the bridge, looking out at the rotation of the planet as the atmo transports were prepared.  “Ugly fucking thing, isn’t it?” he asked. Cody hummed in agreement, hands folded behind his back. “First wave leaves in fifteen. Figured you’d want to be on it.” “Thank you, Watchdog. Keep everything locked down up here,” Cody said, nodding to him. “You have the bridge.” Watchdog saluted.  In the lift, Cody sent a typed message to Obi-Wan’s comm. Landing soon. Will report tonight. The doors opened to a rush of astromechs and GNK droids. Mechanics, pilots, and troopers flowed along walkways and into larties, into Nu-Class shuttles, and smaller fighters.  Moraband did not get any prettier when they got closer to the surface. Breaking atmo revealed hideously jagged mountain ridges. The droid foundry was ten heavily-armed kilometers from the drop zone. Cody was not looking forward to the trek.  He never got that far.  He was glad that he was wearing his jetpack, because when the first round of anti-air artillery hit the LAAT, he had less than two seconds to react to the gaping hole in the hull, to the sudden absence of eight other troopers, to the breach alarms wailing, before the next blast hit. He grabbed two of the other men and leapt out the side of the ship. His jetpack was not designed for this heavy of a lift, and they were falling too fast. The propulsion was sputtering; the explosion of the ship above them hailed flaming debris and blasted them towards the surface of the planet. His comms were screeching in his ears as fighter pilots scrambled to support. The ground was coming too fast. One of the men, Quarter, was shouting to drop him so that he could save himself and the other man, Piecemeal. He started to beat on Cody’s wrist, but Cody held on. The ground was coming too fast. Cody’s jetpack sputtered out, and they fell the remaining one-hundred and sixty feet to the surface of the planet. Cody went out on impact.
From my QuinFox fic (same timeline, this is year 1):
Fox’s office was empty when he opened the door. It was empty when he tugged his helmet off and set it on the shelf by the door. It was empty when he keyed the door closed and locked. It was not empty when he turned around.  “So,” said the man leaning against Fox’s desk. “Pretty interested in Kenobi, hm?” He had a lightsaber clipped to his belt. The gold tattoo across his nose and cheeks flashed in the light.  Fox had a hand on his blaster. “Don’t move,” he warned.  The man raised his hands. “I come with peace in my heart and curiosity in my mind. You’re a great slicer, for what it’s worth. Took me forever to figure out that it was you.” “That what was me?” Fox was grinding his teeth. His right hand was itching. “You pulled Obi-Wan’s records. Don’t totally understand why you covered your tracks so thoroughly, though. That’s what I want to know.” He stepped forward, hands still raised. “It’s not like you were breaking any regs. What gives?” “Get out of my fucking office,” Fox snarled. “Ooh, you’re mean,” the man said, smiling at him. Fox stepped back and adjusted the grip on his blaster. “I like that in a guy.” Fox knew he was blushing. Idiot.  “And shy, how charming.” The man had crossed his arms. He had a matching gold tattoo on his bicep.  Fox called to mind the standard punishment for murdering a superior—firing squad—and weighed his options. “How did you get in here?” “Oh, it’s a fun trick. But if I explain it, it’ll ruin the fun.” “I’m not very interested in fun,” Fox retorted. “Somehow I don’t think that’s true,” the man said. “But if you insist…” He vanished. “Fuck,” Fox whispered, followed by a much louder, “Fuck!” when the man reappeared inches from his face.  “Part of the job,” the man said, smirking at him and not the least bit uncomfortable being within striking distance. Fox swallowed. “You’re a Shadow?” The man nodded, spreading his arms.“Quinlan Vos, at your service. No need for any formalities—I’m not technically a member of the GAR.” “Fox.” “So, back to my original question. Why so interested in my friend Obi-Wan?” “I think you probably already know. Why come if you know who I got them for?” “You caught me,” Vos said, smiling. He had a small gap between his front teeth. “I know you got those records for your batchmate, who they call Kote.” “Cody,” Fox snapped. “Cody, sorry. He wouldn’t have had access to those without going through Obi-Wan. You don’t have a Jedi overseeing you,” Vos said. “So you can get any records you want.” Fox raised his eyebrows. “I fail to see how any of this warrants sneaking into my office.” “Well, this was more for fun,” Vos admitted.  “You have a strange definition of ‘fun,’” Fox said, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. “And you don’t?” Vos had one eyebrow raised. “Well, you’ve had your fun,” Fox said. “So, now you can get out.”

Codywan Week 2024: Day 8 Five Year Anniversary
Author Note: We have reached the end of Codywan Week this year! Thank you @codywanweek for putting on such an amazing event. This is the first time I've participated in something like this and it has been so amazing getting to see all of the amazing things you guys have created and sharing the things I've been able to create with all of you. Here's my day 8 prompt fill I just really wanted to write something cute and cozy of Obi-Wan and Cody just enjoying some peace together after the war in the fix-it au that these boys live in. (Sorry I love them both too much to let them suffer through all the angst that they go through.) As always likes, reblogs, and comments are always welcome! Divider by @saradika-graphics, if you are looking for any cute graphics or dividers they have tons of amazing ones!
Tags/Warnings: SFW, cozy Codywan, sweet, kisses, a little bit of that's not how the Force works but go with it for me, slightly force sensitive Cody, soft Obi-Wan, anniversary celebrations, cozy morning meditations
Tumblr media
The war had been over for three years, and after the chaos of cleanup and reparations and peace talks had finally been settled it had been three years of almost domestic tranquility for Obi-Wan.
The Jedi had worked with the clones and the senators they knew would support them to get multiple bills passed that recognized them as sentient beings and therefore deserving of all of the same rights as every other human in the galaxy. Like pay, the ability to vote, to get married, the list was almost endless.
The Jedi had also offered up the option to the clones to apply for transfers to continue their work alongside their Jedi in the temple. After all the Jedi that had been lost in the war they needed all of the help they could get, but more than that after years working alongside each other during the war many of the generals and their troopers were anxious to keep working together in any capacity and seeing as how integrated the two had already become it wasn’t much of a stretch to apply their current working arrangements to times of peace instead of war.
Cody had almost immediately jumped on the opportunity to transfer to the temple and continue working with Obi-Wan. Personal relationship aside the two worked well together and couldn’t imagine not at this point. They were two halves of the same coin, what one didn’t think of the other probably did.
Today was an average day in the temple. Nothing extremely pressing to deal with that day, just a few meetings. Obi-Wan had woken early that morning and was settled comfortably in front of the window in the main portion of his quarters, sinking deep into meditation.
During the war the force had been so turbulent and he and some of the other masters had been able to feel it growing weaker and more distant. But now that the Sith Lord, Chancellor Palpatine, and his minions had been dealt with, the Force had come back stronger than ever. Things felt right in the galaxy again.
Eventually he felt a familiar force signature flare nearby. Rousing from a deep reddish orange, to something brighter like the colors of the sunrise, bringing a small smile to his face. Cody was awake then. Obi-Wan reached out towards his partner through their budding force bond, he had always suspected Cody may be just a little Force sensitive and this was all but confirming it, and sent a small nudge of greeting towards the other before entwining his own force signature with his partners’.
Cody’s force signature had always been strong. A light in the dark, and a shelter from storms when racing thoughts and self-doubt wanted to consume him. It was warm, inviting, and steady just like Cody. This early in the morning he couldn’t help but be drawn to that warmth, like a moth to the flame, and just observed Cody going about his morning routine.
Using Cody’s force signature as an anchor, Obi-Wan was able to fully relax into his meditation letting the force swirl around him in a familiar manner, always keeping Cody’s wearabouts in the back of his mind as he padded between the bedroom and the main living quarters finishing the task of getting ready for the day.
Eventually the warmth that was Cody settled next to him, placing a warm cup of tea near him, drawing him out of his meditation finally.
“Good morning my dear,” he said, opening his eyes to give Cody a warm smile before picking up his tea and taking a careful sip, relishing in the warmth the beverage provided against the chill of the morning.
“Good morning,” Cody replied softly, shuffling a little closer to Obi-Wan to gently lean his head on the other man’s shoulder, Obi-Wan bringing an arm up to wrap around Cody. A familiar embrace as they watched the sun crest over the horizon on Coruscant. Sunlight slowly reaching across the land to glint off of buildings and vehicles.
They had spent many mornings like this, and had seen far more beautiful sunrises on planets far across the galaxy. But this one felt a little more special. Today marked 5 years since he and Cody had started dating. 5 years since Cody had officially asked him to be his cyare. And Obi-Wan had never been happier.
Being with Cody was as effortless as breathing. That’s not to say that they didn’t disagree on occasion or butt heads over matters, but with some time to think and cool down they were usually able to resolve things quickly and come to some kind of agreement. But day to day life was seamless. They had gotten along well professionally and the transition to forming a relationship in their personal lives just made sense to them. He was the other half to Obi-Wan’s soul, and he would forever be grateful that they had met. “My dear, do you know what day it is?” Obi-Wan asked quietly, still watching the sunrise over Coruscant.
Cody gave a thoughtful hum. “No?”
“Happy Anniversary love,” Obi-Wan murmured into Cody’s hair pressing a kiss into the curls.
“Is it really? Already? It feels like we just celebrated our anniversary. Happy Anniversary!” Cody responded, panicking for a second before settling.
“That it does, my love.” Obi-Wan replied with a smile and a small chuckle. Turning more serious he said, “Thank you for the most wonderful last 5 years. You have made my life truly magnificent, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of it with you.” He finished, cheek coming off of where it was resting on Cody’s head to meet his eyes. “I love you Cody, till the ends of the galaxy.”
“I love you too Obi, to the ends of the galaxy and beyond,” Cody responded, hand coming up to cup Obi-Wan’s cheek before pressing a kiss to Obi-Wan’s lips.

Hiii! I hope you're having a great day 😃 I love your blog, you were one of the first I followed when I joined the Star Wars fandom last year. I've recently started reading more fanfic as well, but the vast amount is a bit overwhelming. Would you happen to have any recommendations for me? I'm open to reading anything and any/all ships. I guess I'm very interested on reading more about the clones and/or about Mandalorian culture, maybe about the clones & Jedi, or about Jedi/Mandalorian relationships (as a culture not necessarily as ships I mean). Also if you have any time travel or social media fics recommendations I always especially enjoy those. Feel free to ignore this ask entirely, or to ignore what I say and just point me towards your favourites or your recent reads or whatever you would like to share. Thank you! 💙
Hello!! Thank you!!! I hope you're having a great day too!!! I am flattered you've thought to ask me but I am perhaps not the best fit to give you fic recs haha!! I'm extremely picky and pretty much the only Star Wars fics I read are codywan- ones that are sweet (optionally also smutty), usually short, and have a very particular vibe.
I really only have one fic rec for you: come down from your mountain by @stormwarnings
Author's summary:
Fox finally settles on something close enough to all of those, but just a step to the right. “Are they usually like that? Unnerving?"
“Always,” Gree says, those eyes that never miss a single detail. “Every single one of them.”
(Seven clone commanders gathering for a drink, and their reflections on war, love, and Jedi.)
That's obviously not an adequate amount of recs so I need to outsource. Anyone reading this, please reblog or comment with a link to your favorite fic(s) that fit anon's needs!!
I know I could just send you my faves, unrelated to what you asked for, as you said I could... but it disgruntles me when I ask for recs for a specific thing I'm craving and none of the recs hit the spot so I don't want to knowingly do that to you haha
(Anon, if would like to research Mandalorian and clone lore, @fox-trot does great lore posts)
(also @ficfinder-general your help in reblogging this would be much appreciated!)

...and Heartaches
Day 3 ~ accelerated heartbeat ~
Word Count: 1332 Content: inhibitor chips, Order 66, unspoken attraction/feelings, mention of slave chips, discussion of power dynamics in CodyWan, choking/attempted strangulation, mention of blood
This is a continuation of Day 2's Headaches... I highly recommend reading that first, it'll make a lot more sense 😂
Tumblr media
They had to get out of this damned cavern. More specifically Obi-Wan needed to get Cody to the temple.
How could he have been so blind? His own– no, that wasn’t quite right, was it? Despite the feelings Obi-Wan fought to keep at bay, Cody was his commander. He couldn’t press further than his lame attempts at friendship. And how he so nearly admitted how deep his feelings for the man truly ran was quite unbecoming. He prayed to the Force that Cody hadn’t read into it.
He shook his head. He spent weeks unaware of the pain and illness of someone so close to him and he was debating the semantics of his feelings for the man.
Something dark so clearly had a hold of this poor man and Obi-Wan hadn’t noticed anything was wrong.
And Cody? The commander had tried–very sweetly–to apologize for something that was in no way his fault. Obi-Wan hated himself for making Cody think he was upset with him.
They had to get to the temple.
Every time he closed his eyes, Obi-Wan could still see the vision he’d had when he’d touched Cody’s hands.
It was so… precise and calculated. At first, it practically screamed ‘Kaminoan!’ at him. But much deeper, at its core was an inky darkness. Obi-Wan had only felt something so dark once, and he had killed his master.
The ever-present footsteps of his commander behind him were of some comfort as they trudged through the dark–and seemingly endless–cavern.
He kept Cody in his focus, doing his best to pay attention to the man’s vitals. He hadn’t told Cody of his rising temperature; what good would it do him to know? Cody would put Obi-Wan, the mission, and the entire galaxy above himself without a second thought; it had endeared him to Obi-Wan, but if Cody thought for a second that he was slowing his general down or that he was a burden in any way? Obi-Wan didn’t want to think about what he’d do.
So Obi-Wan would keep an eye on him. After all, Obi-Wan wasn’t sure what he’d do without Cody.
He hoped he wouldn’t have to find out.
The air was growing steadily colder as they continued and Obi-Wan found he couldn’t quite tell if they were only going deeper or if they were closer to resurfacing into the blizzard.
He glanced back at Cody. He knew the commander had muted his helmet’s mic to disguise his small, out-of-breath huffs but Obi-Wan could still see the tiny puffs of water vapor that came with each labored exhale.
“Perhaps we should stop to rest,” he found himself suggesting.
“Yes, sir,” Cody agreed. Obi-Wan knew the difference in his voice when he was putting on a facade and he knew he was doing that now. He could feel the man’s heart racing through the Force. He pulled off his helmet, and despite the chill of the cave and the temperature-regulating underarmor the clones wore, Obi-Wan could see sweat heading across the man’s brow.
They sat on the cold rock surface, utilizing the last half-hour’s worth of charge still left on the miniature warmth lamp.
“General,” Cody said after a long while. “What you said earlier–”
“I do care about you,” Obi-Wan said, rather without thinking. Cody’s face shifted and Obi-Wan slammed his mental shields up before he could even begin to sense Cody’s feelings. “You– you’re a good man; I couldn’t have asked for a better friend or commander.”
Obi-Wan kept his eyes trained on the lamp. He couldn’t bear to look and see Cody’s discomfort. He’d done it now; he’d pushed too far.
Cody was quiet for another few moments, though to Obi-Wan it felt like a few years passed in the silence.
“Is that what you meant?”
It was so quiet, he almost thought he’d imagined it.
About a million things swarmed through Obi-Wan’s mind. Had Cody ever addressed him without using his rank or “sir” before? Did that mean he cared for him as well? Was he uncomfortable? Obi-Wan was his commanding officer; there was no way they could have anything more than a friendly relationship. Even if Cody did truly have feelings for him, he wouldn’t be able to push past the idea of Cody just trying to please him as his superior.
“I… I think we’re not far from a way out of this cave,” Cody said, his voice as close to frantic as Obi-Wan had ever heard from the near-unflappable commander. “I’ll scout ahead.”
Cody was up and disappeared around the corner before he could object.
Obi-Wan sighed as he ran his hands over his face. This silly infatuation needs to stop, he thought. I thought I was past this.
He could hear his footsteps walking quickly, then come to a stop.
“General!” he called. “There’s an opening here!"
As he got to his feet, he heard the horrible crunch of plastoid hitting stone.
“Cody!” he called as he ran to his side.
He found the commander face down on the ground at the snowy mouth of the cavern.
“Cody?” he said, pulling his shoulder to roll him onto his back. “Cody, wake up.”
He had a small cut on his cheek from the fall that was trickling blood.
“Please, love,” he murmured, gently shaking Cody’s shoulder. "We're so close."
Cody’s eyes fluttered, never really opening entirely, as he groaned lightly.
Obi-Wan released a shaky breath, placed his hands on Cody’s temples, and concentrated.
I am one with the Force and the Force is with me, he repeated in his mind until he found that cursed thing.
The darkness was radiating behind the sterile disguise, and despite his better judgment, he knew he had to delve deeper into it.
I am one with the Force and the Force is with me.
He pushed in, instantly feeling the darkness surround him. It reminded him of something, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
You're out of your depth, Jedi.
The harsh whisper that filled his ears startled him.
Who are you?
The voice answered with a horrible laugh, only to fall silent.
I am one with the Force and the Force is with me, he reminded himself once more.
Cody? Can you hear me, my dear?
Something faint–like a whimper–was hiding in the darkness.
Obi-Wan?
Cody, come back to me!
Obi– Obi-Wan, you- you have to–
Cody's voice sounded strained; as though he were that ancient figure, holding the weight of the universe on his shoulders. That's it, he realized. Fear sent goosebumps down his back. He's holding something back–it feels like Anakin's slave chip.
Obi-Wan, you- you have to run!
Too quickly he was pushed from Cody's mind, coming back to reality with a gasping breath.
Or, it would have been a gasping breath if Obi-Wan could take one. His hands shot up, encircling the ones wrapped around his throat.
"C-C'd–" he struggled to pull against the commander's grip.
He could feel his consciousness beginning to wane.
Forgive me, my dear, he thought as his hand reached down, straining to pull a nearby rock, sending it flying into the side of Cody's head.
Air came flooding back into his lungs as he coughed and hacked.
He scrambled to Cody's side, ignoring the coughs that racked his body. His hands shook as they pressed gently against his neck. He sighed in relief as he found the man's pulse; too fast, but strong.
"-eral Kenobi, Commander Cody: come in," his comm crackled to life. "Repeat; General Kenobi, Commander Cody: come in."
"Lieutenant Waxer," Obi-Wan sighed. "It's good to hear your voice."
"Good to hear yours, too, sir. Are the two of you alright?"
"We're alive, but we are in desperate need of assistance."
A breath of silence.
"I've got Helix on a transport headed to your coordinates now, General."
"Thank you, Waxer," he sighed, his hand cupping Cody's cheek. "We'll be making for Coruscant as soon as possible; we've got a slave chip to remove."

Codywan Week Day 6: Quiet Love
Summary: Obi-wan and Cody love doing small things for each other. Even things they don't talk about or acknowledge. When Obi-wan's favorite pair of robes get damaged, he doesn't have the time to repair them. However, Cody finds a way to fix them.
Obi-wan and Cody's love for each other was shown in quiet declarations. Small things they would do for each other. Sure they spent almost every night together, snuggling close to each other and holding each other. But they also slid their feet together at meeting tables and looked back at each other in crowds to make sure they were okay.
Quiet love was their favorite. Cody remembered times where he would drop something under a table and he would sit up to see Obi-wan's hand on the corner, making sure he didn't hit his head. He remembered short touches when he was nervous.
They would sneak kisses in empty halls and hold hands on walks in the woods. They loved it almost as much as they loved each other.
"Are you ever going to fix those robes?" Cody asked his partner.
"I don't have the time." Obi-wan sighed as he folded the set of robes and put them in a drawer.
"They're your favorite." The site of robes were just about the same color as most of the ones he wore. However the fabric was softer and slightly more worn. It made them more comfortable to wear.
"I know. I'm sure I'll do it soon." With that he closed the drawer. "I'm going to go get something to eat, want anything?"
"Maybe some coffee?" Cody answered.
Obi-wan smiled and left the room. That's when Cody started to look around the room for a needle and thread. He had learned some domestic skills when he was bored on Kamino or in-between missions. Sewing was one of his favorites even if it was still somewhat difficult.
Finding the small repair kit Obi-wan's had tucked away in a drawer, the clone removed the set of robes from the drawer. Then he sat down at the table and found the holes he needed to mend.
After finding the holes, Cody started to stitch them shut. It wasn't perfect but slowly he fixed each and every hole he could. The larger ones were easier to work on. Like every time he tried to sew, he stabbed himself with the needle a few times. However most of the lines were straight so at least it wouldn't look horrible.
When he finished, Cody placed the robes back in the drawer as well as the sewing kit. Then he simply waited for Obi-wan to return. He placed a bandage on one of his fingers since he had poked it with the needle multiple times.
When Obi-wan returned, he gave Cody his coffee as well as an orange flower he had found. "This reminded me of you." He smiled.
"Thank you." Taking the coffee and the flower, Cody sat on the bed. He didn't think about the robes until later. After all, he didn't do it for anything other than making Obi-wan's life easier. In fact, he didn't think he needed to tell him. Later that week, the Jedi would think about it and pull them out like he had done that day. This time, he would see that all the holes had been closed.
The two men enjoyed the rest of their evening together. Cody stayed over that night. He shut the light off and crawled into bed. Obi-wan made sure his feet were covered by the blanket.
Later that week, Obi-wan was alone in his room. He had a pile of paper work that needed to be done. Still, he opened one of his dresser drawers. Pulling out his favorite set of robes, he saw that someone had already mended them. Smiling, Obi-wan knew he needed to thank Cody. He knew he would wear them the next day and he knew that it would make his beloved commander smile. Oh how he loved the little things.

CodyWan week 2024 Day 2
Beating rival suitors off with a stick
a/n: I'm not overly happy with this, I might rewrite or delete it later, also I forgot to post this yesterday but whatever
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cody knew that Jedi’s aren’t meant to form attachments, he knew that Obi-Wan knew, yet here he was standing slightly behind him listening as he was being flirted with by almost every senator walking over.
They were on a diplomatic mission, the senators of both the Republic and the Separatists were meeting for the first time for peace talks, Cody and Obi-Wan were only here for the protection of all involved in case some war profiteer or terrorist wanted to strike.
Obi-Wan had just been introduced to the Senator from Onderon and started saying “it is a pleasure to meet you master Jedi,” leaning all up into Obi-Wan’s personal space.
Cody’s throat constricted, a familiar feeling rose through his body, it was all the same. Time after time, people would see the Jedi, more specifically Obi-Wan and think maybe they had a shot, like those weird forbidden romance holos and novels written about the order, which Cody definitely has never read.
The senator placed one of their hands on Obi-Wan’s chest, and he just stood there, Cody stepped forward and placed his arms around Obi-Wan’s waist protectively.
“Excuse me, but we must be going”, Cody said before realising the words were leaving his mouth. Obi-Wan looked over at him, confusion flashing across his face for a moment before making a cordial goodbye to the dignitaries and senators, Cody dragged him across the room away from them, they were now leaning against a wall
“Cody, what are you doing” he questioned
“They were overstepping, didn’t you notice, we’re here for peace talks not flirting” “They didn’t mean anything by it,” said Obi-Wan
“I just don’t like it” said Cody, “How easily people want you, it’s selfish I know”
“We can all be a little selfish sometimes, this is one thing that being a little bit selfish might not be a bad thing”.
