“The Garage” (VR Zone + Food Park) in City of Dreams Manila
Are you a gaming enthusiast, or are you a lover of the culinary arts? Well, why not both? “The Garage” is the perfect place for people seeking the experience of the future of entertainment in form of virtual reality while dining on premium offerings of a classy food park. Simply put, “The Garage” is a combination of a virtual reality zone and a food park.
As a gamer and foodie, I can tell you that this place is hella amazing. The “VR ZONE” has Mario Kart on virtual reality, a skiing game, and a haunted-house-themed game. The “FOOD PARK” is stacked with premium selections of food. It has a taco food truck reminiscent of my days living in New York City. It has a chocolatier with the best gourmet chocolates I have ever tasted.
That is not all! This place has more to offer with Japanese ramen of Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, American hotdogs of Pink’s, Italian pizza of Pizza Grigliata, and many more.
I have personally tried the virtual reality entertainment and food during their grand opening on October 14, 2018. I would like to take this opportunity to thank http://www.Blogapalooza.ph/ for inviting me to City of Dreams Manila’s event. Infographics courtesy of the folks over at City of Dreams Manila.

World-Class Dreaming
By Cris Evert Tolentino January 30, 2017
Ever dreamt of spending the night with a luxurious and relaxing ambiance and waking up to a golden view of the metro?
Planning a trip or a vacation with our families or with our friends takes time and effort. We really have a lot of things to consider before getting on the road like the number of people joining the trip, choosing a place, setting the budget, and travel time. All these preparations could be too exhausting that’s why when we plan trips or vacations we always look forward to satisfaction and unforgettable experience.
Good thing that we do not have to travel far north or far south or even fly outside the country to experience a wonderful and world-class vacation for the whole family and friends! Experience the thrill of world-class vacation at City of Dreams Manila!
City of Dreams Manila is an integrated billion-dollar entertainment and gaming resort located in Parañaque City. It features and houses three luxurious hotel brands: Nobu Hotel Manila, Crown Towers Manila, and HYATT City of Dreams Manila which all boast various premium dining outlets and more.
Last Summer, my family and I, together with my High school best friend, spent a couple of lavish nights at City of Dreams Manila particularly at Crown Towers Manila. Aside from its three extravagant hotel brands, City of Dreams Manila also offers other special world-class features in accommodation and food, entertainment, and gaming services that would surely make the vacation memorable.
DREAMS IN MOTION
Arrive in style with their free shuttle service! No need to worry if a private transportation is not available. COD Manila offers free shuttle service at selected pick-up and drop-off points. We rode at the SM Mall of Asia pick-up and drop-off point whenever we had to leave the hotel. There are also other pick-up and drop-off points at SM Megamall, SM Cubao, SM BF Parañaque, and more. They also offer valet parking for their beloved customers with private vehicles. But, if you want to enjoy Dreams in Motion, it is available even on late schedules.
As for the transportation, my family went their first with our private vehicle so my best friend and I commuted from Trinoma in Quezon City. From there, we rode MRT North Avenue station and finished the trip up to the last station which is Taft Avenue station for not more than thirty pesos. There are small orange jeepneys that are bound to SM Mall of Asia. We rode for six pesos, student fare, to get to SM MOA. When we arrived at SM MOA, there were signages of the pick-up and drop-off points of different hotels like Solaire Resort and Casino Manila, Resorts World Manila, and, of course, City of Dreams Manila. The free shuttle service observes a schedule, though. So, we had to wait for a while.
It is also possible to get to COD Manila riding the LRT. Ride from Monumento station in Caloocan City to EDSA station and ride the small orange jeepneys to get to SM MOA.
For travelling in private vehicles, COD Manila is located at the gateway of Entertainment City within the Manila Bay area. It can be found at Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City, Parañaque 1701, Manila, Philippines. Three kilometers away from Ninoy Aquino International Airport and a 5-minute drive from SM Mall of Asia.
WORLD-CLASS ACCOMMODATION
We stayed at Crown Towers Manila in their Deluxe Queen room. It features a panoramic bay or city views, spacious area for the whole family, two queen-sized beds, LED television, and more! The room costs from 15,000 and up per night depending on the package.
We also enjoyed other hotel amenities like the pool, gym, spa, and sauna all with complimentary exclusive COD Manila mineral water. They used to serve shots of smoothies before as complimentary, though. They are pretty strict with proper attires while using the amenities. Gym attires and swimming attires are recommended in using the gym and the pool respectively.
The food was roughly expensive. To not overspend on food, we used my Mom’s and Auntie’s Dream Rewards to redeem food and pastries from one of their premium restaurants with corresponding points from the hotel’s casino. We also bought from and ate food at SM MOA and also brought some back in our hotel room.
Dream Rewards is a special feature of COD Manila for their members. It lets its members enjoy more of their time by giving access to an exclusive array of benefits and privileges.
This was comfort, luxury, and style combined!
WORLD-CLASS ENTERTAINMENT AND GAMING
The Fortune Egg, the most iconic structure in COD Manila, houses two famed nightclubs: Pangaea and Chaos. Aside from that, each hotel brand offers a casino where members can bet and play with complimentary drinks like water, wine, beer, and juice.
Minors are not allowed to stay in the casino. Taking photos inside the casino is also prohibited. Minors, on the other hand, can enjoy other amenities fit for them like swimming in the pool or taking a walk inside the mall of COD Manila with the whole family. COD Manila also features top brands of accessories and clothing like ROLEX. Adults can play machine-operated games and poker in the casino. There are also live performances in the casino.
As much as we love to enjoy the casino and the clubs, my best friend and I didn’t have yet the budget to play; instead, we indulged in the pool and taking photos and selfies while my family did their own businesses. We took a walk around the hotel, mall, and pool garden. Maybe in the not so distant future we can already try the casino and clubs.
DreamWorks’ Dreamplay is also another special feature of COD Manila which is an entertainment interactive concept where characters from DreamWorks Animation come together and allow visitors to play, create, and learn! This is recommended for kids and young at heart.
City of Dreams Manila offers a luxurious getaway for families and friends just at the heart of the metro. With all the amenities and services, we had a fulfilling stay with them. We were able to relax while enjoying each other’s company. No need to travel far just to have that dream vacation. It may have been costly, but it was a golden experience.
Indeed, planning a trip or a vacation take time and effort. But, at City of Dreams Manila, let’s lessen our time for travel and increase our time for our family and our friends in luxury and style! It only takes few hours of drive to live that dream vacation. Experience world-class. Experience City of Dreams Manila.
