There's a certain type of anxious brain rot that I have seen up close from liberal white men in the northeast who are like. Incapable of being just a chill ally and they have to be Vocal about it. Not in an "I deserve a cookie" way but in a "I'm gonna show I can be soooo normal about my male friend liking dudes.
