What if Assistant Noah wears beautiful dresses, whenever Chef wears a dress?

During the Wedding Challenge, how would Alejandro react to Noah wearing a dress like Chef’s, or grumpy Noah wearing a wedding dress? 😍

Hot take? I don't think Chef would want anyone stealing his limelight.

And I also don't think Noah would resign himself to wearing pretty dresses unless he's motivated by spite or money - neither of which would really apply here? Like, sure, he's got very little left in terms of dignity (like most poeple who've suffered through the trials of Total Drama, and/or being Chris' personal assistant) but he does have some semblence of self-respect.

He's also susceptable to things like performance anxiety, which is something we see in Ridonculous Race during the air guitar scene, so I imagine he'd be very hesitant to make a spectacle of himself on international television for no apparent reason.

If he were a contestant, then maybe he'd be willing to wear a wedding dress. Lord knows they've all done far more embarassing things for the sake of the competition. But as an assistant? He doesn't really have anything to gain form the situation outside of dodging whatever penalisation he'd get from not following Chris' orders, and he wouldn't be on camera enough to justify the "joke", unlike Chef.

However.

You could spin this into Chef roping Noah into playing into the whole casino vibe they have going on, by having him pay Noah off to dress in something equally as gaudy and sequin-heavy as his own fuchsia gown. Though in this scenario I'd imagine Noah being dressed as a particularly sparkly casino dealer, if only to stay on theme with the whole Vegas-adjacent vibe they've got going on (you know; slot machines, speedy marriages, gambling, ect). He'd be unhappy about it, sure, but the outfit itself wouldn't be eye-catching enough to warrent any complaints from him.

Of course, Chef could just as easily pay him off to wear a maching gown. Or anything, really. With enough financial compensation, I reckon you could have him walk onto the casino stage in a fursuit, or a clown costume, or anything (within reason). It'd be embarrassing, but his further education won't fund itself.

As for Alejandro's reaction? That's fully dependant on what their relationship is like at this point.

Though I do think it'd be really funny to have him blue screen half way across the tightrope over Niagara Falls when he catches sight of Noah in the biggest, puffiest wedding dress imaginable standing casually next to Chef's customs booth. Either because he's just downright confused over Noah's wardrobe situation, or because he thinks Noah somehow looks pretty in a gaudy wedding dress that's bigger than he is. Likely a mixture of both.

Especially since Heather, at this point in the series, is trying desperately to keep his attention on her. Potential for a one-sided Heather-Noah rivalry, perhaps?

Random question! In your fics, Alastor is shown to be uncomfortable with his non human characteristics like his hooves/tail/deer ears, so do you think the reason his hair looks like this on the sides is because he grew it out specifically to hide his nonexistent human ears? (Unless he has two pairs of ears, a human one and a deer one, but that would be weird. Then again, why not?).

I don't personally see him as massively uncomfortable with those traits - at least, haha, not like how I write Hawks from My Hero Academia and his collection of semi-nonconsensual cosmetic surgeries - which is a choice I make largely because hell and heaven are just too full of furries for it to not be at least generally normalized. So when I write him as uncomfortable with those traits, it's largely a bit of the "this is not what my body used to be" uncanny valley effect in combination with two other things:

The amount of undress required to even catch sight of the hooves or tail being a state of vulnerability. This is a guy who's buttoned up to his chin and wearing a three-piece suit at all times in canon, and I imagine he would be uncomfortable with that much of himself being revealed at all. A lot of a person's image (something clearly very important to Alastor) is bound up in how they look and dress, and being undressed is losing part of that.

People touching him without his permission, especially in a demeaning, condescending, or entitled way. While I'm just, y'know, generally obsessed with cute animal traits, I also write his reaction and the circumstances in which people get touchy with his ears and tail very deliberately with respect to his relationship with the person doing it, their intent, his boundaries/permission, the ongoing situation, etc, ranging from "this is pleasant" to "my tolerance of this is rapidly waning" to "this is unpleasant but in a kinky way" to "this was arguably the whumpiest part of a fic where he also nearly got his ribcage ripped out."

Anyway, all of that is to say that I hadn't thought about his hair style specifically that way, but I approach the whole thing from the perspective of his control issues and I think it's a totally feasible headcanon! I imagine he would find that lacking human ears would look odd, and it's much easier for him to control how people see him (and what particular flavors of oddness he projects) when he has a haircut that makes human ears or a lack thereof a non-issue.

1: how and when did you first get introduced to the fashion?

I don’t know how I first learned lolita existed- probably through anime tbh- but I remember getting into it through 2 things; I was browsing Pinterest for historical costuming ideas and I kept seeing these Rococo and Victorian dresses, except they were super short for ballgowns which really confused me (I didn’t figure out that they were lolita but I thought they were so pretty) and second- I saw a girl wearing lolita on my college campus! I wore casual jfashion at the time (Liz Lisa, etc) but even though I knew what lolita was it felt super out of reach and like something only girls in Japan could wear. But there she was, in real life! It was a magical moment. I wish I could remember what exactly she was wearing or that I’d gotten a chance to meet her again but she completely changed my life! I put two and two together and realized I could wear these Victorian-esque dresses myself 🥰

11: what's one item you have that you would never sell?

This is tough, I have a lot of things I really love… I think probably my IW Renoir OP though. It’s definitely the dress I wear the most (it layers really well with like half my closet too..) and unlike a lot of other pieces I love I wouldn’t be able to sell it for a lot of money either.

Like, I would never want to sell my usakumya or my Milky Chan JSK but if I was in a bind financially they could be worth a couple hundred dollars each so if I had to it would make the most sense yknow?

I’d never want to sell my parasol either as it was a gift from my mom <3 and I have a couple vintage Gunne Sax pieces I’d never sell because with how popular the brand has gotten I’d never be able to replace them 😅 and I wear my Gunne blouses constantly too…

Angelic Pretty’s Pompadour OP! I remember coming across it and not even realizing it was lolita, just thinking ‘huh someone made a version of Mme de Pompadour’s gown but they cut it so short, I wonder why’ haha. I’d love to own this dress! I’m a huge fan of the original painting and I think the color combo and design is so pretty. It would be a really nice convention/fancy tea party piece.
