@geeky-simz | Bachelorette Challenge
Hey Meg,
I’m Joel McBride. By profession, I’m the Chief Master Sergeant of the Airforce (CMSAF) in Windenburg, originally I’m from Scotland, and I grew up in the countryside. Just sending this quickly ahead, I have no issues moving to the air force base at Magnolia Promenade.  Well, what should I say about me? I’m a very ambitious man and achieved at a very young age the highest rank in the Airforce. Career is set in stone. Yes, I have a bucket list, and the next goal is to claim my lady. I’m a family man because I grew up in a big family. McBride’s are very fertile, twins are highly possible. I don’t have a twin for myself, sadly [or not “smirks”], but I have two brothers Owen and Declan, who are twins, and my sisters Addison and Pippa. I’m the oldest and a unique bean in the fam, I guess. [chuckles]. Did I mention that I’m the most handsome one in my fam? Fact.
It’s hard to copy me, you know. Of course, I know I’m handsome. Listen, I work hard for my looks: Swimming, cycling, hiking, and fitness, in general, is my thing. At some point, I also want to explore Japanese culture. Mount Komorebi is on my bucket list, too. I love to travel. Don’t worry if you can’t cook, I can cook up and bake something nice. So if you can’t make a good Ramen, how about we replace it with fresh Sushi? I’m better at Gourmet Cooking. Photography is an another passion of mine.
Some call me cocky or arrogant, but hey, I just know my value and the lady next to me? If she’s a smart bean, she will appreciate what I have to give. I call it, let's say: self-confidence. Aaah, and look, I don’t feel embarrassed at any time. This is an overrated feeling. I don’t have time to waste on such nonsense emotions. Maybe you would like me to mention that I’ve been told to be a great kisser? [smirks] But you can judge yourself, whenever you are ready.
Why Bachelorette? I’m ready to settle down, and I’m a very loyal soul once I have the lady next to me who is spontaneous and loves to explore the world a bit. Even with kids, my parents did that with us too. They are my role-model. Chicks out there are still not really willing to settle, but I am. Many judge me by my cover and say that I would be a player. I’m not that type of man. It’s not efficient and a waste of time to deal with too many flat characters. So I’m here, and I want to see how far I can get?
What do you think? Can I get a step closer to my dream and start maybe a fam with you, beautiful Meg?
If you are self-confident and if you know how to fire back? I’m in, I love that when women are confident enough to show off proud their man. Simply because I love to be proud of showing off my lady. If that feeling is mutual? I’m all yours, hun.
Oh, did I mention that I love to wear a kilt? Well, it’s a tradition in my country where I’m from. Don’t worry, babe! I’m a true man. Just wondering if you will be able to handle my confidence. As I’m blunt and honest, too. I don’t like lies. If something bothers you? Spill the beans into my face, and we will see if we can rock it together, okay?
Meg, Imagine me taking shots of you in your garden, amongst flowers, only to capture you as the most beautiful flower.
You like video games and sports? Damn lady, this is hot. Too bad, I have no clue about video games, but you can teach me, right? Trust me, in no time, I will beat you [laughs]. Are you up for a challenge? Now you know who you're dealing with. Can you tame and handle my manhood? Ready for the best time of your life? If yes, join me. *winks. And if we don’t make it? That’s life and we keep on moving, right?
Basics and personality-related must-know about Joel can be found undercut.

So at work today I had to go grab some extra tickets for my squadron’s upcoming Oktoberfest/morale event thing, and the person I got them from was, honestly, the coolest fucking person I have met on this base in the past three plus years. I’m so, so out of practice when it comes to polite conversation, but she came out of the gates just reaming her office, her flight, our unit, and the base itself for being cruel and/or indifferent to far too many inexperienced airmen. We were standing outside the little coffee shop in her building for at least an hour as we took turns just taking potshots at various things that have frustrated us here, and since I’ve been at three different duty stations (four if you want to include my one deployment) and this is her first, I kept reassuring her that proper AF bases are nothing like how this base operates.
This woman was, honestly, truly, earnestly, the kind of person I hope muscles it out long enough to make SNCO. She was just so fucking angry at how so many airmen she’s known have been dicked over by the good ol’ boys club. She’s been eagerly throwing herself in the line of fire for her subordinates. She’s demanding one-on-one with leadership to make sure they know what is actually going on in her building. I’ve never met anyone as fearless and steadfast as her in my (nearly) ten years in the AF.
She made me care again. I haven’t cared in so effing long about work that I can’t even remember when it felt like what I did mattered. The only reason I haven’t just stayed in bed so many fucking mornings is because of the threat of being declared AWOL. I mean that. I’ve been so low for so long that only the threat of being stripped of my rank or imprisoned has been what’s gotten me out of bed for far too many mornings.
But she made me care. She made me want to make this unit mean something. She made me want to be part of something greater. I joined the AF to escape a terrible home life and I still remember my astonishment at feeling so wholly part of something greater than myself in BMT and tech school (well, the first tech school anyway. The second one was hot garbage, but that’s neither here nor there).
I really, really hope this woman sticks it out. I hope she escapes her shitty office and gets to join her husband at his base. I hope she decides to re-enlist. I hope she makes SMSgt one day. Hell, I hope she makes CMSAF one day. I hope she never loses her fury.

1700, 23 November 2018 at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas 🇺🇸 All of us that have have served knows what happens at 1700 daily. RETREAT. Everyone stops and reflects. I think of the friends I’ve lost, friends still serving today and the fact I’m fortunate to still be here after stage III cancer and working with service members around the world. Also my son and daughter serving 🥊💪🏽❤️ Definition 👇🏽 Retreat or re-treat may refer to: Retreat (bugle call), a military signal for the end of day, known as "Sunset" in some countries. Retreat (military), a withdrawal of military forces. Retreat (spiritual), a time taken to reflect or meditate. Thanks for everyone’s service on this Thanksgiving weekend! #cmsaf #military #confidence #ncoa #army #armystrong #armylife #navy #marines #airforce @usairforce @usarmy @marines @bpnsupps @nickbarefitness #gregcheekspeaks https://www.instagram.com/p/BqimVBvHkDW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=nrt1q6s40ekb

@943supersix Vice President Tech Sergeant Medina was able to meet Chief Master Sergeant of the #AirForce Wright! He shared the difference between one's character and one's personality, and how one's character defines you as a #leader. He shared how each day one should wake up with a #purpose and ensure that no matter what you are working on, it is with 100% intention. One should be #disciplined, #honest, have #integrity, and #excel in all we do. Addintionally, he said do not forget to #dream big and #focus small to eventually be working at your dream job. #AimHigh #leadership #usaf #AirForceReserve #SuperSix #CitizenAirmen #RescueWarriors #motivation #cmsaf #military #flyfightwin #inspiration . 👣 🚁 🇺🇲 . @usairforce @airforcereserve @usafreserve @cmsafwright @920th_rescuewing @943rescuegroup @usaf_specialwarfare_recruiter @davismonthan_afb @usaf_recruiting @reservenationalguard @airforce.reserve (at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpS0QqYlX9B/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=49ap86m4mfyh

In order to join the Air Force, Airman 1st Class Connor Crawn had to do the unthinkable: cut his long, neatly braided hair.
Once stationed here, though, Crawn chose to speak up, to ask for something he believed in, to trust in the process, and it worked.
Nearly two years into his fight for change, Crawn became one of the first Airmen to receive a religious accommodation authorizing him to grow his hair out in accordance with his faith.

Okay, I'm a creep! #butseriously, I didn't want to be distracting so these are the best pictures I got. Today, on his 80th birthday no less, I had the chance to not only meet but learn from the EIGHTH Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, Sam Parish. He served from 1955 to 1986 - the last three years of which where as #CMSAF 🤓 #lemmetellya this guy is MY kind of guy. He joked about his darling wife the entire time, didn't care about censoring himself, and gave some solid advice (some of which was to make sure NOT to bless my baby with my wonderfully complicated last name 😂🤣 soo if there was any doubt that she'd be "Anderson" and not "Darelli-Anderson," there isn't now!). I'm lucky to have met him and I WISH that I'm half as cool as he is when I reach that age. #CMSAF8 #USAF #CMSAFParish #AirForce #ChiefMasterSergeantoftheAirForce #hisbestfriendwasPaulAirey #incaseyoudidntknow #thatstheFIRSTCMSAF #mindblown #history #USAFhistory #militaryhistory

Two decades after the US Air Force became a separate military service, momentum began to grow for a new type of leader—an enlisted Airman who could represent and inspire the enlisted force from the highest levels of the Air Force. As early as March 1964, the Air Force Association’s Enlisted Council recommended the Air Force establish a “Sergeant Major of the Air Force.” The individual would advise the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff of the Air Force and be a representative to whom the enlisted Airmen could “freely express their opinions and recommendations on matters ranging from mission effectiveness to personal problems.” The proposal was turned down. Air Force leaders felt the position risked undermining the chain of command, but a year later, it became clear that actions from other services and elected leaders on Capitol Hill would force their hand. In 1965 the Army established the Sergeant Major of the Army (the Marine Corps had established the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps in 1957), and the following year Cong. L. Mendel Rivers (D–SC), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, introduced a bill that would mandate each service create a senior enlisted advisor position to “advise the leadership on the morale, welfare, and career opportunities of the enlisted men and women of their respective service.” Although the necessary votes for the Rivers’s bill failed to materialize, Air Force leaders recognized the momentum and enthusiastic support for the position from the enlisted force. Gen John P. McConnell, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, began to solicit advice and consider his options, and in August 1966 adopted the idea by announcing the “Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force” (CMSAF). The position “ was to be filled by an individual who will become the highest ranking enlisted member of the Air Force.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CaIVgroPRsv/?utm_medium=tumblr
