Să-i depănăm povestea!
Să-i identificăm!

What did Jonathan Harker see in Budapest?
Welcome to Budapest, my dear friend Jonathan Harker! :) Reading Dracula again I’ve noticed that while Jonathan was writing about taking “a little walk through the streets” the things he mentions in his diary, the splendid bridges and the traditions of Turkish rule, are quite far from the train station. So I’ve decided to follow him and try to guess what did he actually see.
First thing first, Jonathan’s train most likely had arrived to the Eastern Railway Station, where most of the Vienna trains had arrived and from where all the trains to Klausenburg (Kolozsvár / Cluj Napoca) had departed.
Then, if Jonathan walked all the way to the Danube, he definitely could see some of “the most western of splendid bridges”, like the Franz Joseph Bridge (today’s Liberty Bridge). Or maybe not. The Franz Joseph Bridge were opened in 1896 so if Jonathan visited Budapest before Dracula was pulished he most likely saw the bridge being constructed, an impressive sight nonetheless.
Or the Chain Bridge (with the Royal Palace on the Castle Hill in the background). It takes almost an hour to walk from the Eastern Station to either of the bridges, so Jonathan did not walk a little, he did walk a lot. And if he wanted to see everything else he wrote about, he had to walk even more!
You see, funny thing is, all “the traditions of Turkish rule” are on the Buda or the west side of the Danube, which means that Jonathan’s beautiful description of leaving the West and entering the East is not correct at all. But if he wandered to the western side of the river, he definitely could see some buildings dating back to the Ottoman era, like the Rudas Baths, an original turkish bathhouse still in use. (Okay, this picture is from the 1960s, but the Rudas Baths still looks like this.)
All he could see on the eastern side of the city was some moorish style architecture from the 19th century, like the Great Synagogue of Pest, which is an extremely beautiful building, but it has nothing to do with the Turks.
All in all, if Jonathan could see all of this and got back to the station in time to catch his train, he is quite the champion of city walking! Or maybe he just took the tram. All of the photos above (except the one of the Rudas Baths) are from around 1897, the year Dracula was first published.

if i ever visit Romania (which is probably never happening), what do u recommend to do/or where to visit. LY SM BTW XOXO
you know, i wanted to make a joke about not coming here but on second thought, Romania is actually lovely for tourists, there are a bunch of picturesque places and it's a beautiful looking country overall
so, as you know, we're all vampires so we have the Bran Castle (Dracula's castle), always a classic. Then there are other castles like Peleș Castle or Corvinilor Castle with great historical importance which i love. Then there are a bunch of monasteries that are also very peaceful, very cottagecore if you will: the Argeș Gates Monastery especially has a really cool folk balad legend attached to it that used to scare the shit out of me as a kid, then there's also other attractions like the Bucegi Sfinx, the Howling Waterfall, SALINA CAVES etc
If you're more chill and don't want to go hiking or on an adventure, then there are always beautiful cities: Bucharest esp the Old Center region, Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, Pitești, etc... There's the National Opera House, the National Antipa museum, Art museums, or if that's too fancy you can always crack open a cold Timișoreana(beer) with the boys in the damp, poorly lit suburbs
#i'd be a terrible guide actually bc i don't like traveling at all it's exhausting#so i haven't been to most of those cities myself but my sister has and so u have her testimony#the only time I've traveled was during school trips#even that was a hassle i can't fathom enjoying this stuff but alas#i prefer walking aimlessly in random places#ask iztea

(in regards to this post)
i think you're right on the money. off the bat, i'd count budapest as metropole - it's a large city, culturally reknowned, part of the austro-hungarian empire - however, from the viewpoint of the novel i'm not so sure. it seems like budapest (and really perhaps moreso klausenburg/cluj-napoca) are depicted as sort of....last outposts of civilisation, before things get Too 'Wild'. a sort of liminal place, if you will. which is obviously crap and we all know it, but bram stoker was playing off preexisting xenophobia, and to the western mind at the time, this may all have felt quite real.
but yes! despite this, stoker is curiously inconsistent in how he depicts the east and west. the first thing that strikes me is one of the very first entries of jonathan's journal:
Some of them were just like the peasants at home or those I saw coming through France and Germany, with short jackets and round hats and home-made trousers; but others were very picturesque.
it's interesting how he compares the rural working class of england ('peasants') and other western european countries with that of transylvania. despite the kinda gawking travelogue he writes here, there's an acknowledgement that this kind of rustic existence is a commonality across east and west. (only difference is how he notes the transylvanians have better drip. which is fair.) i think there's a very real want, by the english, to appear 'different' from those on the continent, particularly in eastern europe - the reality is, however, that this superiority is largely contrived, and jonathan himself notes the lack of difference between the rural poor at home and in transylvania.
then we have the largely slavic crew of the demeter, ill-armed against the Thing from the wilderness they're unknowingly carrying. in their depiction in the book and how their story is recieved by the english at whitby, they're just another example of sincere human civilisation at the mercy of dracula's inhumanity.
there's a strong divide between how the local transylvanians are depicted - as rustic, but kindly, and accomodating - perhaps not the metropole itself, but the last vestiges of it - in comparison to the roma characters, representative of 'wilderness', whose individuality is glossed over for the sake of a united front of nondescript hostile lackeys described as 'godless' and happy to serve the local undead warlord. this entirely goes against actual roma belief, which i believe was pointed out by roma readers in the 2022 run.
i honestly do think that while east versus west is a understandably oft examined angle, there's far more nuance to it than that, and i feel the metropole versus wilderness model leaves more room for those nuances. a footnote: it's also interesting to note that jonathan comes from exeter, itself a cultural centre yet still provincial, far from the vast metropole of london. it sits in devon, a very rural county full of its own obscure folklore and traditions, and (somewhat cruelly) stereotyped as backward and provincial to this very day. in this story of empire vs uncharted wilderness, it feels natural that he'd be from london, like every other english protagonist, but he's not. which is a curious choice.
#and here we are lads. back onto the thing i hate most (english exceptionalism). well. stoker was irish but still. you know#i dont live tooo far away from our friend jonathan (trying so hard not to dox myself but i wanna dox myself so bad)#long post#dracula#if i'm inaccurate in any of this please let me know. anyway its half 1 in the morning i would go further with this if it wasnt in fact 1:30#racism cw

Romanian siblings posting
So, I think the current Romania character in Hetalia is very Transilvania. He lives in Sibiu, he has beef with Hungary and we never see him (from my memory) interacting with Turkey or Russia pre-USSR. So, Transilvania he is.
So that leaves the other 2 big parts of Romania up for nerds like me to write for. Wallachia and Moldova/Moldavia (they're Țara Românească or Valahia and Moldova in Romanian so I might switch between those names.)
Wallachia, Moldavia and Transilvania are all siblings, the children between Dacia and the Roman Empire. They barely got to see their parents because they were all too young to remember them.
The three got seperated soon after, Transilvania getting kidnapped by Hungary, Wallachia constantly bickering with Turkey and Russia breathing down Moldavia's neck.
So, here are the character introductions for my little ocs of them. I actually have a lot more toughts on Wallachia than Moldavia so this is more of a Wallachia post
~Wallachia~
She's the youngest of the siblings (around 19 years old in human years).
She just wants to be left the fuck alone to plant her veggies and take care of her goats
She loves impaling things, crushing potatoes, steak, poking Turkey in the ass with her pitchfork
She has a pet goat called Esus because it's gramaticly correct
She adores cheese and anything with lactose. She refuses to believe lactose intolerance is a thing.
She can speak a shit lot of languages: Romanian, Turkish, French, English, German and Italian. In that order.
Her and Serbia have matching tatoos and they both dyed a bit of their hair blue just because
Wallachia keeps begging Serbia to join the EU because she wants to hang out in the back of the class and get drunk on medical alcohol like in the good ol' days
Serbia and Wallachia are childhood friends. Serbia actually thought Wallachia a few words in serbian and slavic (including the word for love)
Back when Turkey was the Ottoman Empire, he would constantly try to invade Wallachia
He did succeed but only a bit
They fought a lot and Wallachia was one of the brattier territories
She really did enjoy seeing the turks impaled at her border
All and all, Turkey was the closest thing Wallachia had to a father, so, inspite of their previous conflicts, Wallachia still talks with Turkey
At some point Turkey let Greece in charge of Wallachia
They got along quite well, especially since Greece would pay her to get naked
Wallachia and Greece still keep in contact and they send eachother cringe christmas and easter gifts... usually socks or cards
Once Wallachia and Moldavia joined forces together, banboozling the West by electing the same president, they played rock paper scissors and Wallachia won.
She once beat the shit out of Bulgaria, to the point that some western powers had to stop her from doing it
Never leave Wallachia in a room with Hungary. That bitch will be dead in an instant
Wallachia loves her siblings a lot but she's also a firm believer in consensual bullying
She did basicly every college under the sun at England's place before he threw her out. Now she's staying in Italy with Felicio
Her and Romania constantly try to see which one is better: Cluj Napoca or Bucharest
It's Iasi, guys, come on
~Moldavia~
She's the middle child at about 20 years old in human terms
She's the scapegoat of the family
Moldova is her kid and she's a very proud mom
She makes the best alcohol in the family
She was a lot closer to Wallachia than to Romania
She's the only one of the three that still constantly goes to church
She created the ice bucket challange and she's amused by how people were using it
She's the best storyteller of them all. She just has a very sweet and homey voice.
She's dating Ukraine and they're in a loving relationship together.
#hetalia#hetalia ocs#aph romania#hws romania#aph wallachia#aph moldavia#aph moldova#I'm sorry but I'm waaaaay more familiarised with Wallachia and Transilvania

My journey is all mapped out: a two-week Dracula tour of Europe
A fun fact about me is that I enjoy planning holidays that I have no intention of taking. So, if I had two free weeks and more money than I actually do, here's the Dracula-inspired journey around Europe that I might consider.
(Spoilers under the cut)
Days 1-3: Whitby
This is the opportunity to visit all the key Dracula locations, from a coastal walk to Robin Hood's Bay to gazing out over the village and the sea from Mina and Lucy's favourite spot in the graveyard of St Mary's.
In non-Dracula things, Whitby Goth Weekend happens twice a year in April and October. I recommend the Magpie Café for fish and chips.
Day 4: travel to London
Most of the long train journeys in this plan are delightful overnight sleeper services that will make you feel like you're right there with Jonathan and Mina rattling across Europe. Unfortunately, the journey from Whitby to London is not one of them.
Services are infrequent and the journey takes a solid 5 hours. But the start, where you go very very slowly through the beautiful North York Moors, isn't too bad.
Days 5-7: London
There's a whole heap of things to see in London on a theme by either Dracula or Bram Stoker:
The Lyceum Theatre, where Bram Stoker worked for 27 years
The various houses that Bram Stoker lived in
Golders Green Crematorium, where Bram Stoker's ashes can be visited by appointment
Assorted Dracula settings, such as those the Harkers visited on their London day trip
I'd also suggest a visit to Highgate Cemetery, which may have been part of the inspiration for Lucy's tomb (pop in on Karl Marx and Douglas Adams while you're there), and the British Library for general literary joy.
Exeter is a 2.5 hour train journey from London, so you could also go there, either overnight or for a speedy day-trip, if you're a completist. But personally I'd skip it and spend the time going to see the Lion King at the Lyceum or a Shakespeare play at the Globe instead.
Day 8: Paris
The characters in Dracula take a number of different routes to get across Europe, but I've gone with the route that the Crew of Light take as they go to hunt Dracula down in his home.
That means following the Man in Seat 61 guide for travelling from London to Romania by train, taking an early Eurostar to get yourself to Paris. You'll only have a few hours in Paris before the evening sleeper train, but it should be enough to visit Père Lachaise Cemetery, where Oscar Wilde is buried.
Day 9: Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna around 10am, then have the day to spend there until another evening train. Personally, I'd spend the time visiting the Hofburg Palace and Sisi Museum; Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) of Austria was famous in the late 19th century and her tragic life story feels fitting for a Dracula tour.
Yes, this plan involves fast trains crossing multiple European countries without much of a breather. Just like they do in Dracula :)
Day 10: Cluj-Napoca
Note: I've visited all the other destinations in this guide, but never been to Romania, though I'd really like to go to Cluj in particular. So from this point on, this is based on googling, not first-hand knowledge.
Cluj, referred to by the German name of Klausenburg in Dracula, is the unofficial capital of Transylvania. Your sleeper train from Vienna should get there around 8.20am, in time to hop on a tram to the Old Town's cluster of breakfast places. I've been told that Cluj is a lively, student-y city with great nightlife and festivals.
Days 11-14: Romania
Time to explore Romania! At this point there's a decision to make. On the one hand, there's strict adherence to the settings of Dracula, in which case you'll want to head to Bistrița, or maybe even extend your journey on to Varna or Galați.
On the other hand, you could go more on vibes. In which case, hire a car to drive through the remoter parts of Transylvania, then turn south to Bran Castle, which has very little actual connection to Dracula but certainly looks the part.
-------
In the unlikely event that anyone actually does this journey off the back of this post, please let me know how it goes. I'd be so thrilled to hear about it!

Imagine Alec finally getting to go to the Cluj Institute and then Magnus being like "Oh well while we are in Romania we have to see Dracula's Castle" so they go there and then end up having to chase Vlad the Impaler down because turns out he was actually a vampire but no one managed to kill him so they locked him up somewhere underground instead and some stupid tourists that mess with ghost stories let him out

Viv I need you to know that every time I see you on the dash or in my notifs or in my dms or literally ANYWHERE my day gets a million times brighter, I love reading your writing and your hcs regardless of which muse/chara you're talking about and honestly going back and forth with you about kemoji has made me love this series x10 times more than I initially did. I'm also SOOO very grateful to you for helping me find the new ch translations whenever they drop & it warms my heart to see your passion for Romanian culture and the way you've made Mioara into SUCH a compelling chara that she's practically tied to my Mihai. like you genuinely couldn't tear her out of my hands if you tried. ANYWAY ILYSM AND I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!! xoxoxo
CHRISSSSSSSSS you have no idea how much this means to me... ;^;/ .... i dont have the words for it and i dont have my emotes on this computer but rest assured im doing some WUAHGHGH shit
it's been so fun going back and forth with you on things too!!!! ive definitely come to like mihai so much more as a character and its been fun exploring dynamics that never could happen in the series and i love hearing your headcanons and im being 100% serious when i say i absolute love how unabashed you are with writing your muses. i feel like theres a struggle myself and a lot of other writers have when it comes to writing characters like mihai or mikito where we wanna sand off some of the rougher edges but there's so much more life and voice when someone (you) can keep them true to form because thats the appeal of characters like that in the first place!!!
AND IM SO GLAD YOU LIKE MIOARA..... <3 i always get a little worried that when i write characters like her that i may slip into "weird weeby territory" but genuinely i love writing her and drawing him and reading deep dives and articles and journals and everything else that ive been led to on the journey!!! the decision to make him romanian actually came about as the result of an existing passion for learning about the culture because of an exhibit my job hosted of contemporary works from the cluj-napoca school and the information document i put together for it since i have another romanian friend that i knew would be really excited for it and i wanted to make her proud 💪💪💪 almost a year later and now im working on learning the language and trying my best to do right by such a rich and interesting history & culture
LOLLL okay that got corny sorry i didnt mean to get on a soap box there but it just makes me really happy to hear that if nothing else my effort is shining through <3 ok ily chris im gonna stop typing before i make myself look goofy on here
#also this reminds me i need to do the kj chapter for this month and get it out but eekkkkkkkkk thats for after homework#that exhibit makes me really want to consider aiming for contemporary romanian art as a focus if i get accepted into#the school i was applying for#PURE MUSTELID CRAZY://OOC#SNIFFLING AND CRYING

Beneficiile uleiului de cocos asupra sanatatii
Uleiul de cocos are multe beneficii asupra organismului.

I am going to shamelessly promote my own home country! Don't skip Romania in your tour! People usually skip it but there's so many things you could visit. Depends on what you want to see.
If you want to visit big cities, the capital Bucharest is your best shot (used to be called Little Paris at the beginning of the 20th century), or Cluj the heart of Transylvania, or Iasi north in Moldova. All three of them have distinct architectural styles considering the different historical influences overs the 3main regions of Romania. (We used to be 3 different kingdoms before the unification).
If you want to visit beautiful churches, I suggest the North of Moldova with medieval orthodox churches painted in blue pigments, or with icons painted on the outside of the church. And there's Arges (curtea de Arges) who used to hold the royal court in medieval times and it has a beautiful monastery with twisted towers.
If you like nature, I suggest the Danube Delta, you can take boat rides with a guide and see hundreds of birds and animals in their natural habitat. We have plenty of grottes with spectacular stalactites in Transylvania, especially in the Apuseni Mountains, big lakes with barrages (lacul rosu, lacul bicaz).
And of course the Transfagarasan, the longest and spectacular mountain road. It has so many twists and turns at a high altitude and the views are amazing. You don't have to take the car to get on top of the mountain, there are cable cars for it!
Do promote!! I actually forgot to include it in the list though it was included in my mind ! My mother went to Romania on a trip at the end of the 1990's and she absolutely loved it. She made friends there - they still give each other news - and I had a Romanian pen pal when I was in elementary school ☺️
Thank you for all the recommendations!

Recently I had the chance to visit the unfinished Greek Catholic Cathedral from Cluj, Romania. The foundation stone of the church was laid on January 27, 1991, but the actual construction works started in 1992. The development of the church has had several setbacks, including a lack of funds and a major modification in the design. The church has an octagonal plan with entrances on three sides, with the northern entrance being the main vaulted one.

Before
love is dangerous and cruel. at least that's what my experience with this deadly innate trait of human beings keeps teaching me. when in love, you're supposed to give yourself to someone else, to let them see you and within you, to let them know how and why you are the way you are. how can i do that when all love has brought me was shame?
i was thirteen when I gave my body away to men triple my age who looked at me like a piece of plastic ready to feast on whatever they could get out of me. i was fourteen when i was raped for the first time. I couldn't understand this though. living in a society in which my love didn't exist, in which my identity was a taboo subject, all i understood is that my love is about sex and that it happens in the bedroom. i had no models of good healthy relationships between men. actually, all the gay men i met were explaining to me how the gay world is about giving your body away, how you're supposed to feed other men's desires in order to get some sort of fucked up connection. how love is nowhere to be found because it is not accepted.
i was falling in love though. with people i couldn't have. the person i've loved the most yet was himself in a journey of self discovery and couldn't discern between sexual desire and feelings. i thought he loved me. i thought he loved me but he just couldn't be himself. i lived on that narrative for years only to discover in the end that it is not my job to heal people and it is not my bussiness to bring to light parts of people that they themselves are not ready to show. i loved him with all my heart and i still do, i think i will forever do. the flame died and we cut contact, but sometimes i still think of him smiling, wishing he is now in a happier place than when we were part of eachother's lives.
because he couldn't love me and because i could not find a place for my identity in the society i was living in, here came addiction. i filled the gaps left by him and by feeling like I don't belong with drugs and alcohol. lots of drugs and lots of alcohol. and sex. lots of sex as well. i didn't care who i was fucking or who was fucking me as long as we had the crystals and the drinks. i couldn't live through a party without ending up crawling on the floor. everytime i found myself almost dead i would call him. to swear at him or tell him i loved him, it didn't matter. i always knew his voice would calm me down.
by the time i finished high school i was a true addict. i didn't care about myself. I wasn't a person. being gay was something even my friends only tolerated. my existence was so irrelevant where i grew up and my problems were so taboo that i didn't even think of bringing them up. after all that's what all the gays ended up doing in cluj - sex on drugs and losing themselves.
somehow i made it out. i left. more like ran away. i found myself in a strange land with strange people speaking a weird language. but they did one thing that made me feel more at home than anywhere else. they understood me. i was a person. for the first time in my life. i was a person in the eyes of the society, government, law, university, everything. i mattered. i will never forget how calmly i was first asked at thr GGD if i am involved in the chemsex scene - a thing they are fully aware of and ready to help you cope or leave it for free. in romania i'm pretty sure the only people who know the term are people who are in the scene.
but this feeling of belonging led to a deep shame of my past. and that's when i did it. for the very first time in my life i actually tried to kill myself. i was so sure i would do it. i even called him to come clean with everything, to tell him how he hurt me, and that i forgive him and love him. selfish move, i know. but i wanted to die, i wanted to die for so long i can't even remember when i didnt.
but it didn't happen. my friends saved my life. i was brought into the psychward, evaluated, and sent to see a psychiatrist. that's when chapter 2 of my life began for real: bipolar.
After
i always knew there was something wrong with my head. i was always up or down, never normal, but always bad. my friends also knew it that's why they sent me to therapy when i was in 11th grade. couldn't afford a real therapist so i went to the school counselor who was not qualified to deal with my suicidal thoughts and mood swings.
the first year of university is when it got bad. i always had depressive episodes but never had real intense manic states. yes, i went through a lot of hypomanias throughout high school, but never full blown mania. my first psychotic mania was me believing i am in a relationship with ian gallagher. it was weird, i actually thought that, and I wouldn't understand why my friends were not agreeing with be, but either way i didn't have the time to think about it, since a million thoughts were racing in my head either way. i scared them, i scared them all. scared and scarred. i will never forgive myself for the way aprilia was banging on the toilet door begging me to take my meds. or how i ran away to selen's and obsessively told her the others want to kill me because they are jealous of ian. i know this sounds insane, cause it is.
but they stuck around after that. somehow i always had that luck, no matter what i did, my friends never left me alone. they always stood by my side. the period that followed was a terrifying one, but a powerful transition. i kept doing drugs and drinking. I didn't necessarily care. when i was told i can stop taking medication i took that as a green flag to sniffing as much coke as i can before i feel like i need to call an ambulance.
i went to barcelona to an old guy i met in another drugged sex date in maastricht during an arts fair. he paid for everything, i stayed at his place. we did meth the first night and he had people come over and fuck me and then i left to go to another guy's where multiple guys came again to fuck me. i liked it. I don't know. my stomach is turning as i am writing this. the guy didn't like that i spent a whole day at the other guy so when i got back he called me names and told me i am a sex crazed animal that just can't get enough. that hurt me. i was very hungover and on a huge comedown and he just kept having people over to fuck while i was in the other room and he kept inviting me to join. i wanted to cry and go home.
then i stopped with drugs for like a month. i got to romania and was feeling again psychotic and manic, though i had it under control. after a couple weeks home, i found myself again high, having sex with a man i dont know, leaving his place looking for more. it hurts to think about this.
then i met razvan. we met at a party, incredibly drunk. first thing i told him was that i am bipolar, a drug and alcohol addict and i destroy everything around me. he liked that. we started dating and we dated for about a month, though our relationship had an expiration date due to my departure for the netherlands. he was in love with me. i still don't understand why. he was so patient, so considerate, so careful with me. he cared about my trauma and was taking care not to rock it around. he shared himself to me and i liked him so much i thought i would marry him. i wanted to do it long distance, he didn't. that's how we ended, i left. he is happy now, has a cute boyfriend and they do netflix valentine's dates and wine which is cute as fuck. i am happy for him and i thank him for showing me that i matter.
back in the netherlands i didn't know where i belonged. I didn't know who i was anymore, where i'm supposed to be, who i'm supposed to be with. and the mania was getting out of control. too little hours of sleep, too much stress, it was about to explode. and so it did.
this time i was talking to jesus. convinced that he is communicating with me through ethel cain's preacher's daughter. it felt real, i felt a connection to god, one i had when i was a child but lost later in life. i was constantly listening to that album as a form of prayer, of an offering. i was ready to give myself to god, whatever that meant. what was happening in the meanwhile is that i was preaching in vrijthof while my friends were trying to get me to a hospital. i ran, they chased me around, even involved the police, but i was too fast.
later i understood Cioran's famous quoute "The premonition of madness is complicated by the fear of lucidity in madness, the fear of the moments of return and reunion when the intuition of disaster is so painful that it almost provokes a greater madness… One would welcome chaos if one were not afraid of lights in it." - what is worse than being insane? the moments of lucidity in which you realise you are insane. and that's what happened for a short moment when i found myself in a taxi on the way to the hospital, where i switched back to insane mode and yelled at the doctor that he's going to hell for trying to institutionalise the literal Messiah.
then i turned my life around. the damage i have done to my friends this time was incredible. they were visibly traumatised by my actions and i was so ashamed of what i'd done. unfortunately for me, the psychosis fades away and comes back instead of being constant. so i found myself ina lucidity moment completely destroyed by what i've done, back on antipsychotics and ready to fight this fucking disease once and for all.
i quit drugs. i quit drinking. lithium came into play. i finally felt the clinic was taking me seriously. i turned my life around. i am better now and stronger and so much more on my feet and ready to face this fucking world. i am not living in my head anymore and i am not overwhelmed by existence. i see the light, i fight my demons and i do shit. i do great quality shit, from my job as a bartender to my research at uni, i am fucking awesome. i still struggle with my physical image, but i am sure i will be able to get better at loving my physique as well. i am so fucking strong, i overcame so much fucking trauma, i am so fucking worth it and so fucking cool. i care so much about people, i love so strongly, i want to help the world through my field, i am smart, funny, have a sense for the arts, and am great at storytelling and making conversation. i deserve to be fucking loved and i deserve someone who will love me for who i am and who will understand my past and who i am right now and who will be there to support me while i support them. i deserve someone who wants me for who i am and who is willing to build something together with me that will last and will be beautiful. i am not unlovable and i am not awful. i am such a fucking great person.
so this was supposed to be a post about you jakub. but somehow through writing this post i realised that you are not my biggest issue. and also, ure not the only guy in the world. frankly, if u don't do something soon, i don't even think you'll get a chance with me. you're awesome, but i am not your ex, and i deserve someone who can commit to me and who actively shows that they like me. i get that u are anxious and maybe kinda autistic, but over the last days i was the only one putting in the effort, and guess what, a relationship is not a one way street. so act up, if u want me.
