A slightly uneven floorboard? A prop is going to drop from the ceiling.

A small hole in the wall? A scare actor is going to jumpscare the two of you.

Would she tell you though? Absolutely not.

She finds your reactions too adorable and makes a mental note to take some pictures for later down the road.

Ada isn’t a screamer though. She’d either gasp very loudly or stiffen up like a tree.

She enjoyed it though and decides to search for more horror attractions around the area to go to with you.

Chris Redfield

You constantly had to remind him that nothing bad will happen and it’s all staged.

That doesn’t stop Chris from being over protective anyway by constantly shielding you whenever a prop would pop up to jumpscare you.

Even a sudden loud noise and Chris has his arms wrapped around you like a bear.

That is until he sees how shitty all the props and costumes are and he starts to roast them.

“Who made zombies green? Are you seeing this shit, babe? You know I used to punch through these like they were cardboard-”

He ends up rambling about how inaccurate the monsters are but overall has a good time.

Claire Redfield

Would be screaming with you most likely.

The type to spend most of it laughing out of fear but also enjoyment. Mostly fear though.

Claire would definitely hype you up if you got too freaked out and would drag you along the whole journey.

Or similarly to Chris she would be roasting the shit out of all the props in the house.

With Claire’s track record the two of you end up in a completely different part of the house that you definitely should not be in.

She tried to climb through the windows and gaps the scare actors are in.

Probably ends in the two of you getting kicked out but Claire manages to steal one of the props as a souvenir.

Ethan Winters

Considering this man looked at spider Maguerite and said “well that’s special” I feel like he wouldn’t be fazed at all.

Would also find your reactions amusing and occasionally tease you for it.

Tries to touch everything or figure out the mechanics of each room

He’d give the scare actors his iconic 500 yard stare whenever they would try to jumpscare him.

He would hold your hand through out the whole thing though.

But as soon as Ethan hears a chainsaw he is bolting and screaming like his life depends on it.

Also bugs.

And with bugs means lots of swearing.

Leon Kennedy

Would pretend to be unfazed for the most part but internally he is screaming.

He promises to protect you from the spooky ghosts and zombies.

He would tease you constantly whenever you got spooked but would immediately eat shit afterwards.

“Aww did that scare you? Honestly you wouldn't last a day at my-”

He’s immediately cut off by his own scream after someone grabs his shoulder.

Holds your hand to ‘make sure you don’t get lost by wandering off’ but really he needs you for support.

Leon really hates clowns though.

If he spots one its either getting roundhouse kicked or he’s turning around and never coming back.

people who think SPN always did those things on purpose, or worse, that every production choice carries deep inter- or intra-textual significance whose most esoteric pop-cultural associations can always be imported wholesale and ascribed to authorial intent... please consider that if season 11 had any idea what the fuck it was doing when it blithely used johnny mathis's "wonderful! wonderful!" as cheery background mood music in the banshee episode, everyone involved deserved to be sacked on the spot for narrative incompetence.

context: X-Files 4x02 "Home" is SPN founding daddy Kim Manners' single most infamous work (affectionate), and that song is so iconically and cursedly and memorably associated with it that it sets off kill bill sirens in the heads of people who've been scarred for life by that ep. and i simply think. that if the show did not mean to imply via soundtrack that something deeply deranged was afoot here. (which, in context, it clearly did not.) then someone in that decision-making chain should've fucking intervened and told the others that a solid chunk of their most dedicated, longstanding viewers would hear it - consciously or unconsciously - as a signal that an absolute doozy of another shoe was about to drop. and that this signal would look deliberate to anyone who'd consciously identified it.

like this is on the level of "you cannot innocently play bobby vinton's 1963 hit single 'blue velvet' over a close-up of a character's ear without making ~10% of your audience wonder when said ear is going to get cut off." except multiply that by "and if you are late season 2 of twin peaks and you were co-created by david lynch, even if he's not directly involved at this point and the show has gone to shit, that audience percentage will rise dramatically and it will be actively confusing to them if it turns out you're not implying something on purpose." just. absolute clown foolery.

anyway this, in a nutshell, is both The Maddening Duality Of Trying To Suss Out Creative Intentions Behind SPN and a fucking hilarious symptom of the show's descent into amnesiac apathy about its own past. is spn aware, in a doylist wink-nudge referential sense, of Our Guy's X-Files Ep That The Network Famously Refused To Ever Air Again? flamboyantly yes AND flamboyantly no, thanks for asking! enjoy your accidental jumpscare and deep sense of unease <3

I haven’t been here long. What irritating changes have been made?

Credit where it's due, some changes have been good, like polls and stuff! But the big recent changes thus far that I would classify as irritating are:

- The UI change. This one may be less irritating for newcomers because it's basically the same layout as twitter and instagram, but for a lot of folks who've been here a long time, it feels cramped and like a loss of identity for the site. For many, the appeal of tumblr is that it ISN'T an algorithm hell like twitter or insta. Also, there's the annoyance of having to relearn where everything is, because it all got moved around.

- The users being lab rats for various tests the devs wanna pull out of nowhere without consenting to beta testing new site features- like the one that took away user icons on the dash for like half the site. They finally put them back after getting enough feedback that said NO, but users were so used to their feedback being disregarded that they were half expecting the change to be pushed through anyway.

- The Netflix tie-in advertising being pushed even to people who had PAID tumblr for a no-ads experience. Complete with them somehow thinking it would be a good idea to put an unescapable-by-scrolling spooky clown on peoples' dashboards that u had to use ublock to get rid of. While I'm not scared of clowns and often find them quite charming, it sucks that staff didn't take coulrophobia being a common fear into account.

- A wave of fully sfw trans posts being wrongfully marked Mature and staff doing little to nothing about it. Not sure if this is still ongoing, but it destroyed a lot of trust and good will. (LGBT+ users have been having to fight a constant war against censorship ever since the adult content ban on tumblr, so yeah... Nevar 4get the list of banned search words that would bring back no results, like 'girl')

- The site gradually moving away from customization. Tumblr is a BLOGGING site. But it seems to have lost sight of that fact, because most new users don't even know you can fully customize your blogs with css and stuff (an option that is now off by default for new accounts!), because of the in-dash viewer giving you only how blogs look on mobile, which is a lot more uniform. There, it's more like every other site- you get a banner and icon. Oh, but you can change colors and fonts from a drop-down list too, that's cool I guess. Though they recently took away custom color schemes on Message windows, just another little bit of personalization taken away.

- TUMBLR. LIVE. Basically tumblr teamed up with a skeevy dating app partner to allow for livestreams- but not the cool kinda livestreams like on twitch where you can draw or play games, no- to a site full of people who value anonymity, they decided to push phone cam only livestreams. Not only that but by agreeing to the terms, you're giving out tons of personal data including your location to said skeevy dating app partner and all of THEIR third-party ad partners. Needless to say, most people didn't wanna use it, so instead of users it's flooded by p*rn bots (which is ANOTHER issue we've been dealing with for a long time and have been getting an even bigger influx of FROM tumblr live) and scammers. And thus, since tumblr likes to put a carousel of current streams on people's dashes, you often get softcore p*rn thumbnails from the bot streams with no way to avoid it except for toggling off tumblr live entirely.

- Oh wait. That's right. You CAN'T toggle it off. Because you can only snooze it for a while until BAM, you're jumpscared by a carousel of ladies licking your screen again! But hey, at least they made the snooze 30 days instead of the 7 it used to be, right? Yeah, except for the fact that you can't get rid of the tumblr live button itself on the app anymore, and now it's front and center with a NEW notification tag on it, overlapping your dash and cramming useful stuff like the search button out of the way.

NOW- A lot of this stuff CAN be at least mostly fixed on desktop by installing ublock and xkit and tampermonkey + dashboard unfucker... But that's a lot of stuff just to make the site usable, you know?

FNaF DBD Chapter Speculation

Characters and Cosmetics

As we're sure you've heard, FNaF is coming to DBD after YEARS of being requested! We thought it'd be fun to look at who the potential characters coming to the game could be, and their cosmetics as well (that's the real fun part).

First, who do we think is gonna be added to the game?

Considering this crossover didn't get green lit until the success of the movie, we're gonna say it's all movie based.

Safest bet is:

Killer- The Yellow Rabbit

Survivors- Mike and Vanessa

They make the most sense, they're the main antagonist and protagonists of the movie respectively. Obviously excluding Abby, but we doubt they'd ever add her. There are no little kid survivors in DBD.

Now onto potential cosmetics!

This is mainly just stuff we'd like to see based on previous games as there isn't much cosmetic options present in the movie. Mixing the games and the movie is a smart idea to entice and excite fans of the franchise anyway!

The Yellow Rabbit:

Springtrap

Alright this one was obvious. Of course they're gonna do this. How could they not?

Freddy Fazbear

It is an interesting dilemma that the name sake of the franchise is so unimportant. So it wouldn't be surprising if Freddy got a skin. The skins are still canon to the Entity's realm as well, so fret not.

Clown Springtrap

Probably his most iconic costume from the AR game! But maybe we are biased, clown characters are always the best.

Mike Schmidt:

Foxy Bully

The event that started it all. Maybe? Probably not actually. But it certainly was a messy event! Both for the lore and William's business!

Vanessa Afton Shelly:

Ok just gonna put in now that we are extremely biased for Vanessa. Besides the DCA, she is our favorite character from the games and movie! Security Breach was an amazing concept that was unfortunately executed poorly. It's a shame Vanessa and Vanny never really got their chance to shine.

Game Accurate Security Guard

Game Vanessa, what more is there to say? White girl jumpscare!

Vanny

Now it'd be hard to give her the full suit, players would think she's a killer. But maybe they could give her a mask, similar to Cassie's in Ruin. This mask would just be a head only accessory. Mainly meant to go on the game accurate outfit.

Rainbow Hair And Pronouns

In the AR game when Vanessa was going by "Ness" she was described as having rainbow hair streaks. It is a shame this was never in the game. Please girl, come slay. Kill that old man William with your pronouns, hair dye, and definitely lesbianism.

Charlie Emily:

Another separate character costume. Charlie was the very first female protagonist in the FNaF franchise and really the first in depth fleshed out character we ever got. So fuck of course she deserves a spot! The original novel trilogy is what led to so much of the lore we have today. Sure the novels had their weird moments, but Charlie was a stand out amazing character. We miss novel Charlie, this would be a great way to bring her back!

That's all we've got for character and cosmetic ideas! We assume the map(s) will just be an indoor pizzeria layout of some kind. But as someone who fucking hates indoor DBD maps it'll be a pipe dream they add an outdoor Fall Fest map to tease The Secret Of the Mimic. That'll never happen though so ignore that and chug salt.

Closing thots: I had fun watching this! I probably would have enjoyed it a lil more if I knew anything abt Ghost or the other riders, but thankfully this was mostly an ex-aid movie ft. others so it didn't dampen the viewing experience all that much. I liked seeing Tanahashi for the whole 2 minutes of screentime he got, the slingblade to Drive was sick as fuck. Plentiful Emu ryona as well; slightly less graphic than when Asakura shoved light tube glass into his eyeballs but still pretty brutal! And hot! What else uhhh the actor playing Takeru is really handsome in a slightly off putting way. His suit is kinda uggo tho, shame.

The clown was real. It was unsettling to some, scary to others, and annoying to everyone. The clown, when clicked, changed the website's background from blue to old-timey newspaper-looking things all about one piece, none of them readable, just ~*aesthetic*~. That's it, that's all it did. And the problem with that was the fact that the clown's hit box was HUGE. So very many accidental clicks. Try to reblog? Nope, you got the clown. Try to like? Clown time again. The clown was fixed in one position on your screen (roughly where the stationary ad shows up on the right side of the dash on the web version, unsure about on mobile), and the dashboard scrolled on a layer beneath the clown, it so it was always on top, staring at you, and you could. not. remove. it. About 14-18ish hours after it showed up, it got replaced by a dumb cartooney skull and crossbones after, presumably, people complained loudly enough, and then even the skull was removed entirely shortly thereafter. (Bonus: icons are back on posts now. Not sure if there's a correlation, but it happened at approximately the same time). Mobile users didn't get the clown. I know some people with adblock did and had to manually select it to be destroyed, which worked for them. If you go looking for it, I know many of the posts complaining about the clown included a picture of it, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thoughts on Funtime Foxy? I’m brainrotting over him-

The funtimes aren't my top favorite animatronic era, that goes to the security breach and the fnaf 1 mascots.

Most of the funtimes I'm pretty neutral on since the most I can say about them is just: "neat."

I'll list my thoughts on each of them in case anyone else asks.

Baby:

Cool concept for an antagonist and I feel sympathetic for her

Wish she was actually in the game more, having her own jumpscare and more physical appearances instead of just voiceovers.

Her design is cool, clown girl aesthetic goes hard.

Ballora:

Was under utilized but she's still cool in a mysterious way.

... animatronic boobies

I like characters that have their eyes perpetually closed, also she's just pretty as a design (and still creepy)

The fact that she also crawls around like a spider is also pretty neat

Funtime Freddy (ft. Bonbon):

This Freddy iteration is just... chaotic in ways I never expected and I think I can enjoy him for it

The concept of: psychotic killer with a calculated mind of his own being gaslit by a sock puppet is hilarious

I don't simp for him, he's just a silly guy that I can appreciate from a safe distance

I always hypothesized that they're just pre-mangle... (I know they aren't but it feels like it makes sense if that was the case)

Lankybox and the Slow gradual rape of Indie horror, and my predictions of what happens next

When people mention Five Nights at Freddy's. I picture the original games, their jumpscares, the lore that we had to decipher from breadcrumbs and footprints in the sand. But now, Scott Cawthon is gone. And with channels like Lankybox wanting to constantly make videos with horror icons. They must make those horror icons less horrifying.

So they take the horror of Five Nights at Freddy's. They ignore what made the Original games so scary. They throw it in as I will call it, the "Fuck it Bucket". And they make it kid friendly. Making a whole generation of Fans of the game believe that the characters are evil possessed machines.

The same is true with Poppy Playtime. While they aren't solely to blame. People like them erase the horror that the games want to convey. They make the story of a toy factory working with human experimentation seem like a whole bunch of fun and games. They throw the horror aspect in the fuck-it-bucket. Calling blood something that makes me feel stupid of for saying. And they do it to save the children the "trauma"

News flash! Kids know what blood is.

They do the same thing with every idea that sounds scary on paper: Rainbow Friends, Sonic.Exe, Siren head, and things of that nature. And they rape those concepts, Making it to where people like me, and possibly some true fans of those series hate the whole ideas behind the series.

The funniest thing. And this is because of the sheer stupidity of it all. They made a video about Pennywise from IT 2017. Making the demon, seem like a run of the mill axe wielding killer clown. They failed to mention what its powers were, what the clown is even supposed to be.

They think just by slapping a horror Icon on something, they can make bank. And they are right. They have Plushies, and they have clothing and deals with companies such as Viacom. To make a line of Spongebob collaboration plushies. I cannot say for sure where these two have gotten their money. But they might be getting it by the run of the mill mobile games they play. As a way of the devs saying "Thanks for the millions of downloads I'll get soon"

I want to talk about my theory of where their greed, and borderline obsession for wealth will go.

It was not particularly a visceral film. Pennywise, as scary as he was, he could have done better in the aspect of my expectations of how horror should be. As a Fan of Slasher films, I know where Lankybox will head to next.

The recent Hellraiser and Halloween films. They are the horror films of today. I don't believe that Adam and Justin will even touch on the Sadomasochistic Cenobites, or the lore behind them. Because let's face it. They can't be bothered to say blood. So what makes anyone believe that they will mess with the Hellraiser series? But Halloween. Micheal Myers is more human than Pinhead. Imagine what they can do. If they get their hands on that franchise, It's game over for one series. Art the Clown from Terrifier. they will make him into their new pennywise

My next theory. When the new Friday the 13th film releases. They will use Jason Voorhees as their next cash grab. They will throw the horror aspects in the fuck it bucket, they will make that series into something that can be palatable for their advertisers. And themselves. They will put Jason Voorhees in a few videos. And after those videos. Parents or siblings of the children will come to hate everything that the series once was, and to be frank. Child-friendly YouTube creators have done things with Friday the 13th that have more of a horror aspect, even if it is toned down. Such as Red Hatter, he did, (And to my knowledge) Respects the horror aspects. He doesn't tone down the blood. Being a GTA 5 youtuber. He cannot tone it down.

Lastly, they will make a mockery of whatever horror game, film, or T.V series shows up.

I want to end this on a positive note, they haven't touched Doki Doki Literature Club, Or Saiko No Sutaka, or Bendy and The Ink Machine. And with that positive note. I want to say thank you for reading this.
