I don't know about other college students but when I was in college, I always stressed myself about college, even as simple as reading up on the material assigned.

Keiwa tho? Keiwa is supposedly in college when he joined the DGP... Either Keiwa is a literal genius or he just doesn't give flying fuck about his education.

With the way Takahashi has written Keiwa... I'm inclined to bet its the latter.

Cos I don't think i can fit all I wanna say in the replies....

I've been discussing this with another mutual and I agree in the logic on why Ace backtracked on giving back people's memories of DGP. Cos even Ace now knows that doing that was a wrong decision cos first time he did this, Daichi decided to take over Archimedel's job and cultivate the parasitic Jyamato and that Tree of Knowledge.

And yanno... I just thought about this, it's possible it's not just the management being the reason why Brali and the other DGP criminals got their Desire Drivers so quick. It's because the moment they were revived they also had their memories back and desires that was warped by the dgp. Thus Ace learned the bad way how having everyone remember the DGP was a bad decision. Cos even he can make mistakes.

Looks like I'm saying it.

The funny thing about people praising Ace for letting everyone remember the DGP, including one Isuzu Daichi, which is the ultimate cause of someone's heel turn, no don't @ me because that is true, is how he backtracked on it so hard at the end of the series.

He made everyone forget about the DGP and Ukiyo Ace.

Everyone's defenses and praises of Ace for letting everyone remember, fall so hard because Ace, himself, backpedaled on this decision and let everyone forget everything about him and the DGP.

"Ace doesn't have the right to brainwash people into forgetting about the DGP" womp womp, Ace just brainwashed everyone at the end of the series.

Kari… how would you categorize Shinichi Kudo’s parents?

Are they good parents... or nah?

More on the good side- after all they support Shin'ichi in a lot of ways even though they're not physically present.

They still support his desire to be a detective and help others even though it has put him in the state he's in.

His dad also stimulates him intellectually, knowing his son likes being challenged that way, even if he can't outwit him just yet. Shin'ichi finds this annoying to a degree, but it shows that his dad cares about him honing his skills so he can achieve his potential.

If I remember correctly, they're also actively helping Shin'ichi investigate the Black Org with their connections.

They don't coddle him, even in the state that he's in, and don't act like he's a child even though he is in the body of one... and this is the important bit: this is what Shin'ichi wanted. They respected his wishes, they listen to him, they don't force him into just doing as they wanted even though they had all the rights to.

Also very early on both Yusaku and Yukiko actually wanted to take Shin'ichi away for his safety. But Shin'ichi convinced them otherwise. Again, showing that they respected his wishes.

Of course, while it would be better if they stayed closer to home, it's clear they have their own ways of watching over their son. And they have a high level of trust in his judgement it seems.

So yeah. I don't think they're shitty parents. Absent, maybe. But shitty, not by a long shot.

I just caught up with Gavv... and I have a bad feeling about where the plot might go for Gavv... The plot might force Shouma to choose the Granutes or the Humans... (considering Suga's motivations and reasons) (also... its Zuran's VA??? right? Suga I mean)

or the granute society plot would be dropped altogether and IDK which plotline I prefer.

Well, if anything it seems like what the Stomachs were doing is shady even by Granute standards, since they were talking about needing to be accepted by the higher echelons of their society and keeping a low profile among the authorities.

So I think it's possible the Riders may discover that not all Granutes are complicit in the Stomach's dealings and it's just the Stomachs that needed to be taken down, not Granutes in general (which isn't a new concept in Kamen Rider). In which case it's probably going to be a somewhat easier decision for Shouma. He wouid choose humans AND Granutes against his half-siblings who he already has a good reason for despising.

It's Hanto who's a bit more up in the air since I think it would be harder for him to disconnect Granutes from what the Stomachs did to his loved ones. Maybe befriending Shouma, finding his relation to them and realizing Shouma obviously isn't anything like them could help.

and looks like he was expected to graduate in 2024. He put that in his resume, so he’s not failing, there’s that lol.

And I also looked into the requirements for police academy training. For university graduates, he’d only need 6 months of training; if he only got an associate degree/junior college or dropped out from the program, he’d have to go through 10 months of training.

Wait, with these images as context… that means, he was still in his 2nd year of college when he joined the DGP, not even his last year.

Man had a lot of time to search for jobs before graduation.

sidenote: man really wrote "Kamen Rider" as a job lol.

If he was expected to graduate in 2024, then he'd be in his third year of college going on his final year during the show. The Japanese school year starts and ends in spring, so if he graduated spring 2024, the school year for his final year starts spring 2023. And since his time as a rider began a little before that, he'd be in his third year then.

Most people actually start the job hunt around that time, or else secure internships that would help them get a foothold into the company they wish to eventually work for. This is actually part of the rather rigid way hiring and employment work in Japan- basically, you'd have to been hired before you even got your diploma, and once you do have it you're going straight to work.

The fact that Keiwa still didn't have a job so close to his final year starting would be considered cutting it close. I reckon someone in his place irl would be panicking.

Also. Can I just say... no one's gonna hire Keiwa if THAT is the photo he stuck on his CV 😭
