You run for your life into the thick woods after orcs had just destroyed your village. You grasp both arms tightly around your bleeding stomach where you were stabbed. Eventually, your stumbling steps become more difficult before you turn light headed and fall to the ground. As you lay there under the stars you feel the life slowly slipping away from you.
Your vision suddenly goes bright white and you know that you must have died. A beautiful angel comes into your view and you stare up at her with clouded eyes.
“Telin le thaed.” (I have come to help you.) Her angelic voice softly hums in your ears. “Lasto beth nîn. Tolo dan na ngalad" (Hear my voice. Come back to the light.)
You subconsciously follow her voice into the light around her until the bright light vanishes and the night sky reappears above you. The angel comes clearer into your sight and you realize she is an elf.
“Your injuries are far too grave. We must get you to my father.” She says as she examines your wounds.
Suddenly, there is a distant roar of orcs and she shoots up, staring sharply in that direction.
“We must hurry.” She says as she wraps her arms around you and picks you up.
She was much stronger than you expected as she swiftly lifts you onto her horse before climbing on behind you.
"Noro lim, Asfaloth.” (Ride fast, Asfaloth.) She says to her horse before speeding away.
During the ride you began to lose consciousness many times but each time you started to go limp you would feel her hug you tighter. You tried your best to head her silent command to stay awake but you begin to drift away again.
The next thing you remember is feeling her lift you from the horse and carry you. You had such a strong feeling of safety wrapped in her arms, your head tucked into her chest, that you had never felt before. She places you down onto a bed and your eyes begin to open again. You see her worried face looking down at you as an older male elf comes into view.
“Lorna.” (Sleep.) He says as he waves a hand over your face and you instantly fall into a deep slumber.
**********
Tumblr media
When you wake again she is the first thing you see, her dazzling blue eyes peering down at you. Then your eyes slowly adjust to your surroundings. You look around at the beautifully built bedroom with swirls of orange and pink skies outside the open windows. Soothing sounds of the waterfalls outside drift into the room.
“Where am I?” You ask, but it comes out as a croaked whisper.
“Rivendell.” She calmly says. “The house of Elrond. I had to bring you here to my father. He was able to heal most of your wounds but you will still need to be careful and move slowly. You slept through most of today as you healed, which is good.”
You move the blanket and lift your blood stained shirt slightly to examine your stomach where only some faint marks and soreness remained.
“I cleaned the blood from your skin but you will need to change into fresh clothing.” She says, handing you a clean night dress.
You begin to sit up and hiss in pain. The wounds were gone but you could still feel some sharp pains in your stomach.
“Are you alright?” She asks, her voice laced with light concern.
You nod as you sit up from bed. As you go to move your legs from the bed you hiss in pain again and clench your stomach, shaking your head.
“I can help you dress, if you would let me.” She softly offers.
The idea made your heartbeat quicken and you were not sure why. You nod to her and she helps you to sit up properly before gently beginning to remove your shirt. You move your arms to cover your now exposed chest as your cheeks heat. She grabs your clean night dress and gestures your arms up. You reluctantly lift your arms, your breasts now on full display. Arwen tries to be respectful but you catch her eyes dart quickly to your chest and her breathing seemed to increase like yours was.
The dress fits perfectly as she helps you pull it down. She holds her hands out for you to grab to stand, and you do. You wince slightly as you stand up, the skirt of your dress dropping to your ankles. She slightly lifts the skirt back up to help you remove your dirt covered pants. The dress falls to cover your lower half as she pulls your pants down but when her fingers brush against your exposed legs your breath catches in your throat. There is a strange tension in the air as she assists you back into bed.
“I will have supper sent to your room and leave you to rest.” She says.
“Thank you.”
She nods and turns to leave.
“For everything.” You say as she pauses to look back at you. “For saving my life.”
A smile brightens her plain expression, the first one you had seen from her.
“I am just lucky to have found you.”
“I believe I am the lucky one.” You joke and she chuckles. “Forgive me, I have not even asked your name.” You realized.
“Apologies, it’s Arwen.” She smiles softly. “And you?”
“(y/n).”
“Well, goodnight (y/n). I shall see you in the morning.”
The way your name sounds in her angelic voice clouds your mind, making you take an extra minute before you respond, “Goodnight, Arwen.”
**********
Tumblr media
You enjoy your supper as you watched the gorgeous sunset. Once the sky was dark, you found yourself unable to fall asleep. After tossing and turning for what must have been hours, you get up from the bed. You were finally able to move freely, the soreness of your healed wounds no longer bothering you.
You peer into the empty hallway as you decide to explore the beautiful castle you found yourself in. A mural on the wall captures your attention and you stand there for a long moment, admiring it.
“(y/n)?” A soft voice startles you.
Arwen approaches you wearing a night gown with a white robe draping off of her shoulders. She looked so ethereal with the moonlight glowing off her porcelain skin. It took your breath away. She looked like a ghost and a goddess at once, hauntingly beautiful. For a brief moment you thought you were dreaming.
“Are you alright?” She asks and you realized you were so entranced by her beauty you forgot to respond.
“Yes, apologies.” You clear your throat. “I could not find sleep.”
“My mind is restless tonight as well.” She steps closer to you and you again question why it makes your heart race.
“Do you… do you want some company?” You ask.
Her eyes light up and she smiles.
“I would love some company.”
You follow her down the long hallway, no longer observing the art on the walls, your attention now solely focused on the artwork that was leading you to her room.
You follow her into her bedroom and she sits on the bed before patting the spot beside her and you sit. She was close enough now you could smell her sweet scent overtaking your nose. A beautiful combination vanilla, lavender, and pine fills your senses. The room was dark, only lit by a single candle and the blue moonlight.
“Thank you again, by the way...” You say, breaking the silence. “For saving my life.”
“You are most welcome.” She gives a soft smile and places her hand on top of yours.
Your eyes meet briefly and you feel a quick spark before she awkwardly returns her hand to her lap.
For a while you chat about a number of things. You ask about her life and of Rivendell, hanging onto every word she says. You felt as if you could listen to her beautiful voice talk about nothing and everything for an eternity.
“There has not been a good moment to ask until now… what happened to you in the forest?” She questions timidly.
You sigh heavily, tears forming in your eyes.
“Orcs… they… raided my village.” You begin. “They… slaughtered everyone, burned our houses… Not many of us escaped.”
“I am so sorry…” Arwen whispers, placing her hand on yours again, this time keeping it there.
You place your other hand on top of hers and give her a grateful smile, a few tears falling down your face.
“I am just not sure what to do now... Or where to go…” You admit quietly, moving your hand on top back to your lap as she keeps her hand placed over the other.
“You are welcome to stay here for as long as you need.” She slightly squeezes your hand.
“No, no. Thank you, but I do not wish to intrude on your life.” You shake your head, her offer was so generous but you did not want to burden the elves here.
“It would be no intrusion at all.” She reassures you. “I would really like to get to know you better.”
You can’t help the blushing smile as your eyes meet. The genuineness in her deep blue eyes as she looks into yours makes your heart soar. You forget to breathe again as you take in her features up close. She was the epitome of beauty, pure ethereal perfection. Everything from her gorgeous eyes, to her plump lips, to her soft skin, to her long flowing hair. It made you question again if maybe you really had died and this was all heaven.
You saw her eyes taking in your features as well, and although you did not know it, she was also thinking about how you were the most beautiful mortal she had ever seen.
“You know…” You say lowly. “I thought I was already dead when you found me. And when you appeared to me, I was convinced I was.”
She raises her eyebrow at you.
“I… I thought you were an angel.” You admit.
“Is that so?” She smiles widely, gently squeezing your hand again.
You blush deeper at her response.
“I still… think you may be an angel…” Your eyes go wide when you realize you said that out loud.
“Is that so…” She whispers back.
Her eyes meet yours again but this time there’s a heat behind them. You watch her eyes drift down to your lips before meeting your gaze again. You couldn’t help but do the same as she leans in slowly. She places the gentlest kiss upon your lips before pulling back to look into your eyes again with a questioning look. You lean back in towards her and place a firm but chaste kiss to her lips in response to her unspoken question.
The sweetest smile crosses her lips before she brings them back to yours. You don’t hesitate to kiss her back. The kiss is slow, soft, testing. You part your lips and her tongue gently swipes across yours.
You pull back to breathe and your eyes connect again with pure fire behind them. You both move to lay down on her bed. Arwen shuffles closer to you before capturing your lips again. This kiss is much more demanding, hungry. Her tongue boldly intertwines with yours in a passionate dance. Your heart races as you pull your bodies closer together. Your hands move into her silky hair as she holds you against her by the waist. She moves her lips down your jaw and to your neck, kissing and sucking gently. You lean back as she continues down your collarbone. The feeling of her lips on your skin and her thigh pressing between your legs made your head dizzy.
Her lips move back up your neck until they reach yours again. Your hand wraps behind her neck, pulling her closer to you as you kiss her like you were dying of thirst and she was the sweetest wine on earth.
She eventually pulls away and smiles down at you. Your heated gaze softens as you smile back at her. You both giggle before she leans in and places a final kiss to your lips. She moves to fully lay down beside you. You lay there for a moment, smiling and gazing into each others eyes.
“Will you stay here with me tonight?” She says softly as she brushes a piece of hair from your face.
“Of course.” You smile back at her.
“I have a strong feeling that fate brought us together…” She whispers. “That we were meant to meet…”
“I believe so too.” You whisper back.
For a long time you simply gazed at eachother, never speaking a word. Somehow it still felt like you both were saying so many things as your eyes remained deeply connected. Eventually your tired eyes fall heavy and you drift off to sleep. Arwen watches you for a while longer, taking in your mortal beauty and peaceful state of sleep as your chest gently rises and falls, until eventually she also closes her eyes to rest.
When you wake in the night you find her arm draped over your waist and smile to yourself. You snuggle in closer and wrap your own arm around her. The movement causes her eyes to open and meet yours. When she notices the position you were now in she smiles and places a soft kiss to your nose before closing her eyes again. You both drift away again into a more peaceful rest than either of you have had in a long time, excited for what the future may now hold.

THE PHOTOBOOTH | 007. DAY ONE
Tumblr media
[WC] . 1250 prev ! mlist ! next
it has been a couple days since their first date and the word had already spread around school so they're basically more public than ever, absolutely no going back.
today is the first day of college viewings, seoul national university. it was around 6:20 when misaki, ryujin, and beomgyu arrived at school. the buses were lined up along the parking lot, where several other grade 2's waited with their friends.
"i'm so tired," ryujin complained, her head resting on beomgyu's shoulder. gyu's head nodded off as he hummed along to a song, his breath turning into a vapor cloud.
it was really cold although it was the start of a new year. misa made sure to pack extra warm. she brought her hands up to her mouth, breathing onto them because of the fact that she was freezing. the scarf around her neck keeps her somewhat warm.
"guys, don't fall asleep now," misa groaned, holding onto all of their suitcases so they don't roll away.
it was as if her call for help was a lullaby, they fell into a deeper sleep. misa scoffed at them before moving the 3 suitcases to her right. the sight of them falling asleep made her want to yawn but she attempted to resist the temptation.
buzz. buzz. it was her phone in her pocket. she took it out, sliding open the screen. a notification from sunghoon popping up. she sighed quietly at the message before typing back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
misa stared blankly at the words.
"you've got to be kidding," she mumbled to herself.
from a mega phone not too far away, they started to list off people into groups based on colleges.
"beomjin," misa called to her best friends, kicking their legs, "they're calling us."
"seoul national university, bus 2."
she led beomjin, ryu and gyu, toward bus 2 as they trudged along behind her while misa attempted to roll their suitcases along.
she was able to bring them to the front of the line, meaning she could go straight to a seat she wanted. she desired a seat near the back, away from the teachers as usual.
the teachers didn't bother to do roll-call, and she quotes, "whoever shows up, shows up."
mr. lim knocked lightly on the bus doors, shortly after the gas released and the folding doors squeaked open. misa turned around to her best friends, unsurprised to see them sleeping on each other.
"beomjin, wake up."
"we're listening," beomgyu pushed, his eyes still shut. his head remaining on ryujin. as for ryu she was unresponsive.
misa shrugged it off before continuing, "gyu, you're sitting with me, right?"
his eyes squinted open before slowly shaking his head no, "i'm going to sit with ryujin. i am not sitting beside you if you are awake that much. i'm a tired man," he told her.
"mhm," ryu mumbled, clearly half asleep.
the boy nodded his head for her to move forward in the line.
"ugh fine," misa groaned annoyedly, letting go of their suitcases, "put your stuff away by yourself!"
she grabbed her single suitcase, dragging it behind her as she went to the next free open spot in a luggage holder under the bus. she lifted it up before sliding it in.
her hand naturally held back onto her bag strap before entering the bus, picking an empty seat near the back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it had been a couple minutes and there was still no sign of sunghoon. she peeked her head every now and then out into the aisle to see if he was entering but it wasn't him.
she sat back in her seat, more near the window. what am i doing? ugh, im so weird. misa unwrapped her scarf from around her neck before she reached down into her backpack that was sitting on the floor between her legs, pulling out her laptop, and glasses.
she put them over her nose and began opening her assignments. suddenly there was a presence beside her seat, she looked up seeing sunghoon.
she smiled sheepishly, getting nervous. she gestured for him to sit beside her. he nodded, obeying, sitting down with his backpack in his lap.
he peeked over her shoulder to look at her screen.
"and you're still working on assignments," he sighed, relaxing back on they're seat. he slid his backpack between his legs before unzipping it and pulling out a small throw blanket.
"blanket?" he offered.
"yes please," she nodded, eye's subconsciously getting bigger.
he laughed at her, adjusting the blanket so it was over her legs and his.
"where's jay sitting?" she asked.
"with ningning," he sighed, leaning back on the head rest as he attempted to get comfortable.
speaking of jay, she couldn't get what he said out of her mind. why would he say those things? she would hurt him? she barely even knows jay. if anything, she's worried if sunghoon's gonna hurt her.
"okay so student's, you guys should know the drill. keep your hands to yourselves, don't be too loud, you guys can talk but please keep it to a minimum of whatever voice im talking in right now. food and drinks are allowed just don't make a mess and if you guys are being rowdy while you eat, i highly suggest you don't," the driver spoke into the mic.
after the usual bus speech, the vehicle began to move, and the bus was unusually quiet. misa was guessing everyone was tired and the sleep was getting to them.
she continued to type at a medium pace, finishing up her korean language work that she didn't finish the night before.
"hey misa," sunghoon mumbled.
she glanced over to the boy, being face to face with him, "hm?"
"do you mind if i rest my head on your shoulder?" his hand meeting the nape of his neck, "i didn't get enough sleep last night."
"well we're dating so of course," she chuckled, sinking into her spot, eyes returning to the device in her lap.
"oh right," his cheeks tinted a shade of pink, "thanks."
he adjusted himself so he could rest his head on her shoulder, but it was more like he was laying against her. she looked over at him to see him lying comfortably with his eyes closed, unbothered, she continued to type.
it wasn't long before her eyes started to droop, she shook her head fighting the urge to sleep. she needed to finish her work and when they arrived at the hotel, she could sleep. she sighed, letting the sleep win. she shut her laptop and slowly reached down to place it in her backpack.
the sun was already coming through the window, the ice melting as it became closer to 7 am.
sunghoon moved every now and then, trying to snuggle his head more near her upper stomach. she lifted his arm, placing it over his upper chest, hoping it was more comfier for him.
she smiled to herself as she got a good look at him. he looked so peaceful and unbothered. the sun reflecting through the water droplets on the window and onto his face.
she stared, absolutely mesmerized by his beauty. her hand unconsciously made it's way to the left side of his face, slowly caressing his cheek.
she gulped, being this close was almost suffocating. the worst part was that she couldn't tell if it was good or a bad thing. she couldn't help but keep her hand on his skin.

barely looking this over before posting, but another drabble for kittyuri !!!!
Prompt: yuri between apprentice witches Word Count: 845
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
They’re tackling illusions today in class except Kitty’s creatures look more like deflated balloon animals than wildlife. A lopsided dog whimpers at her before its leg collapses entirely with the smell of burnt rubber. Lovely.
She flicks her wrist and the whole thing dissipates in a cloud of blue smoke.
“You doing party tricks in here or homework?”
Great. As if today’s day wasn’t already bad. Now, Kitty has to run into Little Miss Perfect, darling of KISS Arcane Academy with perfect grades, picture-perfect spells, perfect hair, perfect clothes, perfect face–
“Seriously though, Kitty, what was that?”
She gets enough ridicule from her teachers, there’s no room for seconds. Kitty groans and lets the remains floating through the air do the talking.
At least her teachers’ disappointment has dulled to expectation by this point. She gets more sighs than shrieks these days. As much as is expected of a half-witch.
Yuri makes no move to leave so Kitty sighs and starts drawing another sigil, willfully ignorant of her audience. The base for the wolf illusion is a circle and the base is the most important part–has to be sturdy and straight and all that for the rest of the spell to build on it–but she can’t do much about the way her hand shakes. She closes the loop with a twist of her pointer finger and gets a wobbly egg-shape for her troubles.
“Kitty,” Yuri chides from right over her shoulder and Kitty swallows her heart right before it pops out of her throat. When did she even cross the room? And why? To get a front-row seat to the Daily Kitty Shitshow? “You couldn’t even make a believable puppy from that. Here, let me show you.”
Kitty nods and scrambles six feet backwards. The floral scent follows her like a bread crumb trail leading home. God, is that a spell or just her?
She expects Yuri to pull out her own wand–a silver, elegant and polished thing like every other part of her–from her pocket and demonstrate the spell. She expects her to draw the symbol in the air, maybe even make Kitty mirror the pattern in the air by tracing out her linework.
What she does not expect is for Yuri to grab her wrist–still clutching her wooden hand-me-down that’s more branch than wand–and start drawing a circle in the air. Her heart pops out of her ribcage like one of those cheap squeeze-toys.
Of course Yuri’s skin is soft and her touch is gentle. She probably farts rainbows and pukes sunbeams too. Kitty has a bone to pick with fate for the clear favoritism.
“Kitty, you have to look at the sigil to remember it,” Yuri chides, but the fact that she’s on the cusp of a laugh negates any real bite.
“Right, I’m looking!” And she is, she’s looking pointedly at that damned sigil that haunts her daydreams and decorates her nightmares and not at anyone else. Anything else. Fuck. Same difference.
Her circle really is picture-perfect though–it might as well have been done with a compass. As expected of the principal’s daughter.
“Seriously, how’d you get so good at this?” Kitty asks as Yuri moves onto the edges. She adds a series of triangles that run along the circumference.
“Practice. Lots and lots of practice.”
“What, Principal Lim made you draw before you could even walk?” She says the words with no real force but they catch on Yuri’s face and tug her mouth downwards.
“Something like that,” she replies off-handedly and something about the way she bites the inside of her cheek makes Kitty want to pry further. Like a sealed box with the tape peeling off, begging to be opened. Her words are swallowed by Yuri’s shriek though as she wraps both hands around Kitty’s arm and shakes violently.
“Look, it’s coming out!” she says and sure enough, a paw emerges from the circle’s center.
The wolf that steps out is beautiful. Of course it is–it’s made by Yuri after all. Summoned by her via Kitty’s wand and arm. It comes up a little past her waist with two giant ears pressed to its head and a black velvet nose.
The wolf nuzzles up against her leg and she stares at the way her skin cuts straight through. It’s almost enough to make her miss Yuri’s quiet exit from the room, half her body obscured by the doorframe by the time Kitty catches on.
“Wait!” she yelps, bowling straight over a desk. Damn these stuffy, old-fashioned shoes. “Let me at least buy you–” She digs through her pockets and surfaces with a couple 100-won coins. Oops. “Uh, a soda, maybe? I think I might have enough if you’re down to share.”
Yuri watches her struggle with a bemused smile on her face.
“For something this small, don’t even worry about it,” she laughs.
Kitty stops and stares at her, leg still halfway hooked around a chair.
Yuri smiles and blows her an illusion across the room. When it pricks Kitty’s nose, hearts shatter across her skin.

CloudLIMS Releases Version 4.00 of its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Tumblr media
We are delighted to announce the latest release, version 4.00, of CloudLIMS—a SaaS, in-the-cloud LIMS with zero upfront cost for biobanks, clinical research, clinical diagnostics, and analytical testing labs such as cannabis, environmental, material, food and beverage, and water testing labs. Take your lab to the next level of performance and efficiency with the latest version of CloudLIMS.
The latest version includes the ability to:
Place Sample Purchase Requests: The latest version enables your clients to submit sample purchase requests based on the study needs by selecting the required samples. Once the order is placed, a unique Request ID is automatically generated for seamless tracking throughout the process. Your clients can edit their requests until they are accepted by your lab, offering flexibility in managing orders. To prevent stockouts, the system automatically restricts requests for samples if the quantity exceeds availability. This enhancement streamlines the entire purchase process, making it more efficient, flexible, and user-friendly for you and your clients.
Edit Approved Service Requests: You can now edit approved service requests, allowing you to modify test catalogs or panels associated with the request. This functionality provides the flexibility to add or remove tests from an existing service request, with automatic adjustments to pricing, ensuring accurate billing and streamlined service management. For instance, if a client orders a test package containing 5 tests, but only 3 tests are performed due to sample unavailability, you can remove the unperformed tests and adjust the invoice accordingly. On the other hand, in cases where a new test request is submitted for a sample already received in the lab, you can associate the new test with the existing service request. This eliminates the need for creating a new request, improving workflow efficiency and reducing administrative overhead.
Personalize Test Reports with Client Information: You can now include client details in the header of your test reports for a professional and personalized touch. You can select up to three client attributes, such as Company Name, Address, and Phone Number, to display. Furthermore, you can customize the layout by positioning the selected attributes to the left, center, or right, as per your preference. This functionality enables you to further tailor test reports or certificates of analysis based on the reporting requirements of clients and regulatory bodies.
…and much more!
