This year I decided to challenge Inktober with characters from stories I love.

Starting with Simone from Closing the distance by YipYapYams. Although it's not a story for everyone, but Simone is a great heroine that taught and inspired me a lot. Simone holding Bjorn's head will always be one of my biggest source of inspiration, too.

I still haven't decided what to draw for the later days, but using pen and ink in black and white only really makes drawing become simple. I love it ❤️.

Why this place isn’t home.

I live with my family, I’m 19. I’ve been with my current boyfriend for two years and am making the large cross country trek to move in with him. Yes we’ve met in person, we met a year ago today I stayed a week my first trip and two weeks my second. I can’t handle saying goodbye to him. But there was something I noticed when I did go back. At first I thought it was a fluke thing like I was just happy to get to touch and snuggle and kiss him. The second trip however, I realized it was true. That was my home. I felt at peace and in my place. Like thats where I’m meant to be. And no not just cause of him, my mood is so much more elevated, I’m not constantly grumpy, mad, sad, no constant isolation. My communication with my parents even got better. Which I mean it sucks to have to move hundreds of possibly thousands of miles away to have a better relationship with my family but that made me happy. My family home is constantly negative no matter how much sage I burn, how much positivity I try to put back into the space it’s always negative. It’s draining physically, mentally, emotionally. Besides the mood changes, me and my boyfriend even communicated better, we didn’t fight nearly as much as before. It was mainly small arguments that developed into bigger ones. My heart will always be with my family. In my home state. That’s why I say it’s bittersweet to be so excited to be in a good and what I feel is safe place far from them, because I love them and this place is the only one I’ve known. I’m scared to leave them, scared to leave my best friend, her parents which are like second parents to me. I’m scared and sad to leave but I’m so excited and feel such a weight off my shoulders being able to do this. So this isn’t home. My heart will always be here with them and love them so much but Ohio’s not my home, it was at one point it felt like it. But now Texas is my home. I’m coming home in 5 weeks or 40 days something of that sort I’m ready and not ready.

So today is exactly 30 days from when I get on a plane and head to Oz to see me girl. Its been 8 months since the last time we were together. You say we're excited is a bit of an understatement. This day next month we will take that huge step, the one we have been waiting for since we got together, since we got engaged last May, since we filed our visa petition back in March and since it was approved in October. The step you crave every damn day when you’re long distance. We will finally, after what felt like a life time apart we will close the distance. I will move over to Korey and we will live together under the same roof, our own little apartment that he moved into 2 weeks ago and has been getting ready for me getting there, we will fall asleep in the same bed every night together, we will wake up every morning in the same time zone, our date nights could now be a stroll by the beach and making dinner together instead of dreaming about it and both having pizza over Skype. I have treasured every Skype date we have had over the last 2 and a half years but to really be together will be sweet! Going through all the struggles and hard times sucked but I’m so glad we made it through and our hard work, communication and patience will soon pay off and our new adventure will begin with a whole new load of hardships…but we will take them on together. Distance cannot beat real Love 😄❤

This will be the 4th time changing my flight. Will and I were supposed to be closing the distance on the 8th of November, then the 15th, then the 21st now it's sometime in December and unknown 🙁 I just want to be with my fiancé and the world is not letting me! 😭so sad and angry and just fed up. Quick update about our long distance relationship. Well yesterday I went to the visa center to submit my visa application, it's a permit to marry my fiancé Øyvind. I was there earlier than my schedule appointment so I waited like for two hours but everything was worth it, all the wait and the time I stood there outside the office because I submitted all my documents successfully, got my tracking number for it as well so it's really a matter of time now. I hope everything goes smooth and the wait will be over soon. My hubbylove told me to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best! I told him to pray and let God do the rest. I'll write about the results as soon as I hear from them! For all LDR lovers out there, just have patience because time flies and good things happen to those who wait. :) #babywifey
