Hello everyone. Perhaps you’ve seen my story lately. I never imagined this would be a story I’d be sharing. My daughter, who’s turning 3 this month, has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It will be years before this war can rest. She is my everything, my favorite person, my best friend. She’s been in the hospital for a week and won’t be leaving for at least another month. I keep repeating aloud how I cannot believe this is happening. Everyone keeps telling me I’m strong, that I’m a warrior, that my daughter is too. I believe those words. I hold them so closely because they’re true. Right now I’m moving across town as well. There is peace in the chaos. Calm in the storm. Order from this madness. It will come. Because it must. I am closing Nola Esoteric this weekend forever. Everything the brand is and has been is finished. My plan for the fall was to rebrand + start over as a magical skincare company. I still intend on following through with those plans. The same spirit, aesthetic, methods, and attention to detail I’ve become known for will shine through. Im going to focus on my daughter and take some time off working for this battle.
