close to me without giving too much away, basically the wife wakes up after falling from the stairs and she can’t remember anything from the past year. she has this feeling that she’s afraid of her husband but she can’t remember why. what I enjoyed about this book is that the chapters were split between the past year and the days after the fall. i kept reading because I wanted to know more about the past year. what memories, crucial ones, was she not able to remember? slowly, through the chapters certain memories are retrieved and as the reader you get an insight into the wife’s life. the ending was bittersweet. *I did find that I was skimming some pages just because I wanted to know the outcome. ** if you don’t want to read it, you can watch the show on @channel4 @primevideouk or other channels.
