It always bothered me how they treated the Trix. Like, in season 1 these girls managed to defeat three entire schools, with three members of the Company of the Light at their head, a whole city where if we are logical there's probably milices, police officers or any other trained persons able to fight and protect. It's not even the winx, it's Bloom, and I don't even mean Bloom, it's the dragon who defeated them.
It took the fucking most powerful creature of this universe to beat three highschool witches.
And suddenly they are unable to hold simple fights and act as servants for the first new evil in town? Yeah, sure.
I am really disappointed that the evil Ancestral Witches and Trix collab was used in the second movie. I thought about getting back into writing and start with rewriting season four. Then I remembered that my great idea of the Trix and the Ancestral Witches "collabing" or merging was already done. By the second movie. That I rewatched. The Trix were suddenly so weak? And incompetent? Ignoring the plot holes of the movies, the Winx also take the Trix not as serious as before? It's hard to believe that this happened somehow after season 3.
While I love season 1 to season 3 (I struggle with the Season 4 rn), I noticed the Trix didn't grow in powers like the Winx. Honestly, season 3 makes them look bad. Like hello, Valtor, these are the descendants of the Ancestral Witches. They stole the Dragon Flame powers. They merged into a super witch and challenged Darkar (who should be more powerful than Valtor? I think?).
I don't remember if it's fixed later on, but the Trix and the Ancestral Witches together should've been close to unbeatable.

And the computer version
Notes: I said 80s aesthetic but we has that kind of neon/bright colours with lot of teal, purple and pink in the 90s and 00s.
Just sharing my new phone wallpaper made with Canva in case someone would need a new one.

Everyone was saying that Genshin Impact was remembering the recent Zelda games but for me it reminds me Aion, the og game with Verteron. I still don't like the idea of not being able to customise our own character but the farming/hunting aspect isn't bad.
However.
Am I the only one who dedicate hours to hunt birds and gather sweet flowers? That chicken recipe is just so practical for PV.

Not common at all ( at least for the two/three last generations because in other eras in poor families bed could be shared for warmth and lack of beds) and I hated it when I was forced to do it. I'd rather sleep on the floor than feel or hear someone near me. Also it's common here to let your bed to someone like a friend or a family member when they visit and spend the night and damn I hate it too. A bed is something really private to me
Okay yall how common is bed-sharing in your culture or your family etc ?
for me bed sharing is super normal so im shocked when others dont do it. Like i used to sleep with my grandparents because they wouldn’t put their grand baby on the couch. I’ve shared a bed with my aunts, my sister, my parents, my cousins, my friends. I still sleep next to my friends all the time. its so peaceful. Im shocked that other people dont do this.

The Bloom vs Icy always annoyed me because the winx never really worked. I know we can't see that much but each time we saw them in class it was for projects so childish like the letter, or the rose in a globe at the start of an exam. While when you see the Trix, you know they really worked on their magic, there's freaking hours of dedication and study behind that. The winx? Pure luck. Tecna works on her stuff, yes, she's the only one. But the others are just throwing the first spell hoping that'll do something. By the way, the Trix did convergences way before the winx and unlike the pityful tries of the winx in s2, it worked.
just rewatched season 1 episode 18 and am like YES GURLS, YOU GO! TAKE THE DRAGON FLAME AND RULE OVER THE UNIVERSE 😭😭😭

"They're so full of themselves, who do they think they are? Rock stars? They think they can come here and impress us with their special effects? Those winx aren't that extraordinary. They're just a bunch of lucky girls and spoiled princesses."
After seeing the EP1 S4 of Winx Club, and even if I don't approve her methods, I have to agree with Clarice: the winx really sound pretentious. And they definitely are lucky as their enchantix depended on mysterious enemies who suddenly appeared while for few years nobody has to face these dangers who gave them the opportunity to achieve enchantix. Were they courageous? Yes. Were they lucky? Yes. Stella is freaking spoiled too.
What is their "winxology" class? Except showing off their powers to beginners and saying some general stuff anybody can guess by themselves? Oh yeah, another demonstration of their powers but in an obstacles track. Uh... I don't pay to see 6 accidental heroes showing off, I pay to receive serious classes by experimented professors. We don't know how much Alfea costs as Miss Bloom never has to pay - of course!- but it looks like an expensive private school seeing the appartments they have. Imagine paying that just to see Layla dancing on the professor desk like a tiktoker or Flora ruining your new flower hair pin...
I love the season 4 because it's a step in their lives, they leave Alfea and the school system to became independant, they still work for the magic dimension while being adults, even if here again they have lot of luck, who has a parent who gives you enough money for that seriously? But the point was here, they had to find a job, to work for it while searching and helping. And that was great.
I like to think of the first episode as a way to humble them and to make them realise that their all life won't be Alfea years. The only thing I regret is that in season 5 they didn't take separated paths and places to live like normal adults.

Toxic stans will be toxic stans, I'm afraid you can't do anything about that.
But that's all the point. Old SSO was full of interesting references, little mysteries to discover, the story was nice compared to a lot of horses games, the characters and their designs were on the same page because it was actually something not only made for money. SSO now is a horse collecting game with a very subtle simp side and a tiny bit of story because they can't decently exploit only the rest. It was predictable when they started to change the game, they wanted something able to attract a large and more ready to pay for everything fandom. You're asking them for logic and consistency when they just try to follow all the trends they can to milk bored players, they don't want players who question things, only the ones who pay. There's nothing more behind, nothing to expect anymore with them.
