Okay but imagine…
A drunk Jake “Hangman” Seresin
Your call-sign: Sparrow
“Ohhh, Y/N!” You hear from behind you.
You turn away from the conversation you were having with Natasha and Bob to see your best friend and roommate, Jake, stumbling over to you.
“Jake,” you smile up at him.
“Did you know your hair looks so pretty in the light?” He asks.
“No, but I can imagine,” you grin up at him, looking behind him to see an equally smiley Bradley and Javy. “Do you need some water?”
Jake only shakes his head, finishing off his beer and wrapping his arms around you in a bear hug. “What I need is a kiss.”
“A kiss?” You ask, heart pounding in your chest.
Jake nods, leaning in close to your ear. He whispers, “I think your lips would be the softest most beautifulest lips I’ve ever wanted to kiss.”
A blush creeps up your neck, you’d wanted to kiss him yourself for the past few years but was scared to ruin the friendship.
Now that Jake was basically admitting that he wanted to kiss you, you couldn’t help but feel your heart flutter. That was, until you remembered that he is absolutely drunk, and there was no way that he could actually want to kiss you.
“Let’s get you home,” you tell him instead. “Let me finish my water and we’ll get out of here.”
“Nooo!” He whines. “I wanna stay here and kiss you in front of everyone.”
You finish your water, turning to face Jake with a fake frown and hands on your hips.
Jake’s sage green eyes light up in delight. “You look so hot when you do that.”
You glance around the group, watching as they smirk and stifle down laughs. Eyes falling on Bradley, you smile. “Thank you for volunteering to help me bring Bagman here to his car.”
“Fuck,” Bradley mutters.
Bradley helps you grab one of Jake’s arms and pull him toward the exit, Jake talking your ear off.
“Sparroooooow,” Jake says to your left. “You’re so soft! How do you do that?”
“It’s called a shower loofah,” you chuckle.
“And you smell sooooo nice,” he goes on. On the other side of him, Bradley laughs earning him middle finger from you. “Bradshaw, Rooster my boy, leave my girl alone. She’s mine!”
Bradley looks over at you, a smirk on his mustached lips. “Oh, is she now?”
“Yup!” Jake says, lips popping at the ‘P’. “She’s mine, but she doesn’t know it…so don’t tell her.”
Jake turns to you on his right and drawls, “What’s up, Y/N?! I didn’t see you there!”
“I’ve been here the whole time,” you groan, trying to unlock his truck to put him in the passenger seat.
“Do I get to be a passenger princess tonight?” He asks Bradley.
“It looks like it, man,” Bradley laughs.
“I’m gonna be the prettiest princess ever!” Jake exclaims, causing you and Bradley to exchange looks and try to choke down your laughs.
Jake focuses on you before adding, “Actually, my Sparrow here is the prettiest princess I’ve ever met and seen.”
“Okay,” you say, hoisting yourself over Jake’s lap to cock the seatbelt in place. “Let’s get you home.”
Before you can get off his lap, Jake wraps his arms around you and pulls you close. You’ve been close to him before, but this feels different.
He’s warmer than normal—which says a lot because Jake is a furnace. His eyes are bloodshot and glossy, making his green eyes appear even more green with a mix of blue. His face is clear, save for the blush on his checks from the alcohol.
Behind you, Bradley clears his throat. You turn in time to see him take a picture of you and smile. “I just want a picture to show your future kids.”
“Bradley…” you squint.
“Our kids?!” Jake exclaims excitedly. “Are you pregnant?!”
“Bradshaw!” You scold. “Look what you started!”
Jake is crying—still holding you—and touching your belly. “I’m gonna be a daddy!”
Bradley only laughs. “Have fun, mommy!”
“I hate you,” you mutter as you scramble out of Jake’s arms and around to the driver’s seat.
———
By the time you pull into the driveway of yours and Jake’s bungalow, Jake has calmed down—and sobered up—enough to get out of his seat and walk alongside you to the front door.
The night is quiet, warm air blowing around you both like a warm blanket fresh from the dryer. You’re about to unlock the front door when you feel Jake’s eyes on you. Turning, you face him. His eyes are unreadable but his face gives himself away.
He remembers what he said fifteen minutes ago.
“Y/N,” he starts. “I’m sorry I ruined your night.”
You sigh, unlocking the door and pushing the door open. “You didn’t ruin my night.”
Jake gestures for you to enter the house first before following you inside. You feel him watching as you kick your shoes off and line them on the wall closest to the table in the entryway.
When you look up at him, you see a blush creep up his neck and ears.
“What?” You ask.
“I wasn’t lying when I said you’re the prettiest person I’d ever seen,” he whispers. “I can’t stop thinking about you.”
Now it’s your turn to blush. You weren’t a bad looking person, but you never considered yourself to be the prettiest person in the world, much less Jake’s world.
You’d watched him flirt and pick up all sorts of beautiful women for the past few years. And never once did you think he’d find you equally attractive.
“Sure, Jake,” you mutter, beginning to turn away.
He stops you, grabbing your arm and twirling you to face him. He’s pulled you close to his body, warm and muscular.
Jake tilts your head to face him before saying, “I’m serious. Why do you think I haven’t been bringing so many girls over?”
It’s been a few months since you’d seen him with any women but that never clicked in your brain until now.
“So you’re saying you haven’t brought women over because you’ve been thinking of…me?” You clarify.
“That’s exactly it.”
“You’re drunk,” you tell him. “If you remember tomorrow morning, tell me you mean it.”
To your surprise, Jake smiles down at you. “I’ll remember.”
———
The next morning, Jake is in the kitchen making you both some French toast and bacon—the scent alone waking you from your sleep.
The sight of him dancing to “The Man” by The Killers makes you want to smile. He’s so carefree around you. That’s what drew you in to him when you first met.
Sure he was flirty, but as soon as you two got to know one another, he dropped the playboy act and was just…Jake.
“Are you making french toast?” You ask, laughing when Jake practically jumps a foot in the air.
“You scared the shit out of me,” he chuckles, grabbing his chest. “And yes, I’m making french toast with bacon.”
“Extra crispy for me?” You ask, jumping to sit on the counter next to him.
“Extra crispy for you,” he replies, a smile plastered on his handsome face.
“Cool.”
You watch for a bit as he finishes up the last of the bacon and french toast, admiring the way he relaxes to the beat of the next song playing on the speaker behind him. He’s nodding his head and mouthing the song, “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, while he places some pieces of bacon on a plate.
When he glances your way, he flashes you a quick smirk before opening your legs and stepping between them.
“What’re you doing?” You ask, hesitantly placing your hands on your lap.
Jake grabs your hands, wrapping them around his neck before placing his own on your hips.
Your heart is racing, every part of your body is vibrating under his touch—his gaze really—on you.
“Y/N,” he starts, looking uneasy. “I think you’re the prettiest person I’ve ever met and seen. I think you’re the sweetest person in my life and I think—no, know—that I have feelings for you. I only realized a few months back when I saw Bradley’s arm around your waist that I don’t want other people touching you.”
“Jake—”
“Let me finish,” he interrupts with a smile. “Deep down, I think I always knew you were the woman for me. I think that’s why I always tried to distract myself with other women but now that I finally realize it…”
Jake takes a deep breath, eyes fluttering a bit before they lock on yours again.
“I’m never letting you go.”
He watches you for a second, trying to read your face and you can’t help but smile after a bit.
“Jake,” You start. “I was just gonna tell you that I feel the same way.”
The smile on Jake’s lips widens before he pulls you in for a kiss. Soft and full of joy, you kiss him back.
He pulls away to look over your face before pecking you again and saying, “Now, let’s go eat so I can have dessert after.”
“Dessert?” You ask, brows knitted. “I don’t see anything out.”
“Who said it was food?”
AHHHHHH NOBODY TOUCH ME LOL anyway… check out my Masterlist!!! 💗💗

pierced. pt. 3 | spencer reid.
Spencer wanted this date to go perfectly, he wanted to treat you like a princess and maybe even land a second date... but why is Hotch calling?
pt. 1 | pt. 2 | pt. 4
cw: fem!reader, kissing, slight angst, fluffy
a/n: kicking my feet fr
You started getting ready two hours earlier than you normally would.
Sure, you had been on dates before, but you could confidently say you’d never been this excited to go on a date before. You’d been on the odd blind date that your friend from back home set up, but they usually went as well as you’d expect a date with a misogynistic frat boy with mommy issues to go… not great. After Spencer had walked you home, and called to ask you out for dinner, you were utterly giddy.
You barely got any sleep that night, your mind and heart racing a mile a minute thinking about the kiss you shared outside your apartment building. You spent the most of the afternoon picking out an outfit, staring at your body in the mirror while you turned side on, front on, side on again to make sure your ass looked good (it did).
You asked Spencer to tell you where he was taking you, because you really didn’t want to be underdressed or overdressed. He insisted it was nothing fancy but a man’s idea of fancy and a woman’s idea of fancy are very different things.
You picked something that felt like the best of both worlds, a semi-formal mini dress and dressed down with your favourite knitted cardigan. You spent the rest of the afternoon getting ready, styling your hair, picking jewellery and shoes and doing your makeup.
You had been excited the whole day but as 6pm got closer and closer, you started to get nervous. It had been a while since you’d gone on a date with someone you felt you really liked and wanted to impress, it was a strange feeling.
Spencer knocked on your door at exactly 6pm. You were in the middle of pulling applying your lipgloss when he knocked. You cursed quietly to yourself, thinking you had way more time than you actually did. You’d hoped he’d be at least a little bit late. He was a genius though, punctuality was kind of his thing.
You almost tripped over your shoes running to the front door, a cleaning task you would tackle when you got home. You pulled the door open with a smile beaming across your face. Your heart fluttered at the sight of Spencer’s precious face peeking over a bouquet of pink tulips.
“Hi,” he said softly with a tight lipped smile. He held the tulips out toward you, “for you.”
“Spencer…” you pouted at the gesture, taking the tulips from his grasp. “They’re so beautiful.”
“Garcia said flowers would make a good impression,” he lied, he actually read a considerable amount of articles and first date guides all day at work. But Garcia did help him pick the flowers.
“Well, she was right. Tulips are my favourite,” you grinned, turning back into your apartment to find and fill a vase. “Come in, I won’t be a minute, I just need to put my shoes on and grab my purse.”
Spencer awkwardly stepped into your apartment, glancing around at the now fully decorated space, a far cry from what it looked like just 3 weeks ago. You quickly went to put your shoes on and put some money, your lipgloss and perfume in your purse. You closed the door to your bedroom and paused, staring at Spencer as he squatted down and rubbed Tofu’s belly.
“Made a new friend?” You asked.
Spencer smiled with utter delight, “She’s so fluffy.”
You giggled at Spencer’s response, grabbing the keys for your apartment off the kitchen counter. Spencer dusted the cat fur off his pants before spinning on his heel to face you, “ready to go?”
“Yeah,” you smiled. You stepped closer until you were just in front of him, you reached up and adjusted his tie gently. “You look very handsome.”
His cheeks felt hot, “T-thank you… You-! You look really nice too- beautiful! You look beautiful…” he stammered, exaggeratedly gesturing at your appearance.
You giggled softly, “thank you, Spence… Shall we?”
“Yes, yes, right,” he replied, quickly scurrying to the door to open it for you.
The two of you made your way down to his car and he made a point to run ahead of you when you left your apartment building to open his passenger door for you. He was intensely determined to be a gentleman, wanting to give you a good impression so maybe you’d go on another date with him, maybe even come to Rossi’s dinner party next week. But he was getting ahead of himself, he should probably focus on the road.
“...So where are you taking me?” You asked, glancing out the car window at the city speeding by.
“It’s one of my favourite places,” he replied, hands nervously gripping the wheel. “I… hope you like it.”
“I’m just happy to spend time with you, Spencer… We could sit on the pavement outside a seven eleven and I’d be thrilled,” you grinned, folding your hands in your lap as you watched him glance at you. You watched him for a moment, chuckling to yourself whenever he would glance down at your lap then clear his throat.
Spencer was really trying to keep his eyes on the road, but your plush thighs in the corner of his eye were proving to be very distracting. He had never had a pretty girl in his passenger seat before, especially not a girl he was taking on a date.
Spencer drove for maybe 30 minutes before he pulled into a parking lot. Once he parked, he quickly got out of the car and did a little run around the front to open your door for you, reaching to help you out of his car.
Spencer held his elbow out for you and you linked arms, your hand gently holding his upper arm. There was a long line up outside the restaurant, people talking and laughing, clearly it was a popular spot. Spencer was stiff with nervousness, his hands clammy as you leaned your temple against his shoulder.
“You okay?” You questioned gently.
He nodded quickly, “Yeah, just… I’ve never been on a proper date before.”
You pouted, “well don’t be nervous. I’m only here for you, Spence. I’m sure it’ll be perfect.”
Spencer’s phone suddenly rang in his jacket pocket. You quickly let go of his arm as he pulled it out of his pocket, staring at Hotch’s caller ID. He hesitated for a moment, knowing it was work and he would likely have to leave. Spencer looked at you with such sadness and disappointment in his eyes.
“Work?” You asked softly.
“Yeah… But I-”
“It’s okay, Spencer,” you smiled sadly. “Your job’s important.”
Spencer sighed before stepping away from the line and answering the call. You couldn’t hear what he was saying but he sounded upset given his gestures and frantic running of his hand through his hair. After a minute he hung up, slipping his phone in his pocket. He looked at you sadly, opening his mouth to say something but you cut him off.
“It’s okay, Spencer,” you held his face softly. “You go, I’ll get a cab, okay? And when you get back you can tell me all about how you kicked ass, okay?”
Spencer breathed out a laugh and nodded timidly, “Okay.”
“Go,” you said, letting go of his face as he quickly darted away to his car. He was almost out of sight when you watched him turn back, running back to you. He quickly planted a kiss on your lips, breathing hard against you. You smiled against his lips and held his cheek in your hand. He pulled away just as fast, your lipgloss smeared along his lips. You wiped it off with your thumb, “okay, now go.”
“I’ll call you,” he breathed, kissing your cheek quickly before running off.
It killed him leaving you there. Spencer wasn’t someone who got angry that easily but he was in a bad mood about this. He charged through the bullpen that night like a bulldozer, ready to set fire to anyone who dared ask him ‘how he was’. Morgan, JJ and Emily sensed the crankiness the moment Spencer pulled his chair out and sat down with a thud, crossing his arms angrily.
“Rough night, lover boy?” Morgan asked, trying to lighten the mood.
“Wasn’t much of a night at all, really,” Spencer retorted with an attitude.
“Woah, woah, what happened?” Emily questioned, eyes narrowing at Spencer.
“I had a date, okay? That girl you met last night? Y/N? I was taking her to my favourite restaurant and then Hotch called and I-” Spencer had to stop himself before he blew up. His lips formed a tight line as he stared at the table, not daring to look up.
“Aw, Spence…” JJ sighed, “I’m sorry.”
“Sorry doesn’t help,” Spencer mumbled. He spent the rest of their meeting in a foul mood, barely listening to JJ as she listed the details of their next case. They were never usually called in on their days off but after almost twenty bodies, the BAU had a lot cut out for them.
“We’ll leave in two hours,” Hotch dismissed. Spencer was first up, grabbing the small stack of files and pushing toward the door to go to his desk. Morgan and Emily looked at each other, sharing a look of disbelief over Spencer’s crankiness.
Spencer sat at his desk pushing his pen around, barely touching the cup of sugar with a splash of coffee that JJ got for him. All he could think about was how you probably wouldn’t talk to him again after this, he knew this job came with sacrifices, but he just wanted one thing, one thing, to himself.
“You okay, Reid?” Penelope asked softly.
Spencer glanced up at her, letting out a sigh, “I was on a date with Y/N before this… We didn’t even get to sit down.”
Penelope’s shoulders slumped at his words, “I’m sure you’ll be able to make it up to her,” she said hopefully.
Spencer nodded slowly, “I hope so.”
Penelope stepped away to answer a phone call and Spencer was left feeling sorry for himself at his desk for the next 30 minutes, going through his mind the different things he could say or do to make it up to you. Maybe he should call you? Text you? Drop by when he gets back? Or maybe he could buy you another cat as a peace offering-
“Is this seat taken?”
Spencer’s head shot up from his desk, coming face to face with you, your hand resting on the empty chair by his desk.
“Y/N? What are you-”
“I called Penelope,” you answered, “She told me you weren’t leaving for another hour so… I thought I’d bring dinner?”
You held out a plastic bag of take away food from the restaurant he took you to. You asked Penelope what his favourite thing on the menu was and bought some extra for yourself. Spencer looked like a kicked puppy as he stared up at you in disbelief.
He stood up and quickly hugged you, making you chuckle at the sudden affection. You felt your face heat up at all the eyes suddenly on you and Spencer. Morgan whooped from his desk, cheering loudly and obnoxiously, prompting Spencer to pull away from you.
“I’m so sorry,” Spencer whispered.
“You don’t have to apologise, Spence,” you replied. “You love your job and it’s important,” you shrugged, placing the plastic bag on his desk.
“God, you’re so sweet it’s killing me,” Emily grumbled, walking by with a fresh cup of coffee. She pointed at Spencer, brows raised, “keep her.”
You and Spencer shared a laugh before he pulled a chair over closer to his for you. You sat down and pulled your takeaway dinner from the plastic bag, letting Spencer tell you all about the restaurant and why this specific meal was his absolute favourite. His knees brushed against yours under his desk and he just revelled in the comfort of your company.
“So, what’s your new case?” You asked, taking a sip of your drink.
“Uh, well,” he trailed off.
“You can’t tell me, huh?” You chuckled.
“Not really, sorry,” he replied. “I’m sure it’ll be on the news tomorrow.”
“Right, well. I’m sure deep down I don’t really wanna know,” you shrugged.
He nodded, “the cases we work aren’t exactly pleasant.” Spencer sighed, “I wish we could have actually had a date.”
“This is a date,” you replied. “Is it not?”
“Well… I mean, it’s just not what I wanted for our first date.”
“Like I said Spence, you could take me to a seven eleven and I’d have a blast,” you chuckled, reaching over to run a thumb across his cheek. “You can make it up to be on our second date.”
Spencer quickly looked at you, “Second date?”
“Yeah… only if you want to?”
“Yes, yeah. I want to,” he replied almost too fast. You smiled sweetly at him, a piece of your hair falling from behind your ear. Oh yeah, he’s done for.

katsuki comforting his pro!hero gf when she kinda fails her mission because she didn't get to save the people but defeated the villain? love your writing btw, wouldn't have guessed you were new if i hadn't read your profile!
katsuki sat on your shared couch, watching the news on your recent mission. the headlines were tragic, you had done what you could in order to protect the civilians but the damage was greater than you could handle. luckily, you managed the capture the villain but you just couldn’t shake off how many lives were lost.
he looked towards the apartment door, he heard your keys jingle trying to open the door. as you walked in, he started walking towards you. the soft expression on his face was enough to make you cry, he knew how much stuff like this hurt you. “katsuki.. i couldn’t-“ you dropped everything in your hands, tears swelling in your eyes. “i couldn’t save them ..” the lump in your throat began to hurt more and more, katsuki caught you before you fell to the ground.
“shh.. it’s okay baby” you couldn’t do anything but cry, he held you in his arms as you cried. your tears staining his black t-shirt, you were frustrated with yourself. “it’s, it’s not kats.. the people, they-“ he caressed your head, fixing your hair after it had gotten messy. you couldn’t even form the right words, it was difficult and traumatic.
“hey, look at me.” he cupped your face in his hands, picking your head up to look at him. your tears continued to flow down your cheeks, sniffling as you looked at him. he knew you tried your best, he knew you did what you could. “look, you did what ya’ could alright. who cares about what some shitty reporters say about ya’?” he wiped your tears with his thumbs, kissing your temple before resting his head against yours.
he wrapped his arms around you, allowing you to cry in his arms.“what matters is that you’re safe and you did your best throughout the entire mission, you ensured the safety of the people.” you both sat on the floor for the next hour, realizing it was late and time to sleep. although katsuki has an early bedtime, he stayed up until you were asleep. he knew you’d have trouble sleeping due to what had happened, and he would’ve rather died than let you stay up alone with your thoughts.
it broke katsuki’s heart to see you lay in bed the next morning. you laid there, puffy eyes with no light in them, dried tears stains down your cheeks, there was no light in your body whatsoever. katsuki made sure to call off work, he knew you needed him by your side and he made sure to stay there for as long as you needed him.
he made you a light hearted breakfast, just enough for you to eat. he knew you would wake up with no appetite but you needed to eat. a simple breakfast that consisted of pancakes, fruit, and coffee made just the way you liked. he served you breakfast in bed, plopping beside you so he can feed you. “you’re okay baby, nobody blames ya’ alright?” you nodded, allowing him to feed you another bite.
if it wasn’t for katsuki, you don’t know how you would’ve managed to cope with the trauma. he kissed your cheek when you managed to finish the plate he made you. “thank you baby, feelin’ a little better now?” he put the plate on your nightstand, pulling you close to him. you laid by his side, your head on his shoulder. “mhm, thank you kats..” you cuddled up closer to him, his warmth comforting you.
“yer’ welcome baby, just glad yer’ back home safely.”

I loved this request! To add on the baby fever, but this has a little bit of sadness, when baby Eliza looses that newborn baby scrunch, meaning that she's no more a newborn and she's growing. I was loosing it when my cousin did this (we're like 5 years apart)
For those unfamiliar with the newborn scrunch: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLFYCP6t/
THE NEWBORN SCRUNCH! It is the cutest of cuteness. I can't even imagine how I'm going to feel when I someday have a baby and they stop doing this lol. Probably react like Reader, ngl 😂
Warnings: Mom!Reader, Dad!Eddie, Eddie should get kneed in the balls for suggesting having another baby so soon after Reader giving birth
Words: 1.2k
“Well, good morning my little cutie pie.”
Eliza gazes up at you from her bassinet, her little legs kicking within the confines of her pink teddy bear footie pajamas.
“Morning, sweet pea.” Eddie comes up behind you and rests his chin on your shoulder as he smiles down at your infant daughter.
“Ready to get up and start the day?” you ask, fighting back a yawn. Eliza has gotten on a more consistent sleep schedule, but you’re still nowhere close to your preferred eight hours. “Babe, can you grab an outfit for her?”
“Sure thing.” Eddie barely takes two steps towards the door to head across the hall to the nursery before hearing you whimper. He immediately spins back around and takes in the situation with wide eyes. “What? What’s wrong? What’s going on?”
You’re still facing the bassinet, Eliza held out in front of you. Eddie can see the baby hanging from your grip, her eyes going over your shoulder to squint at her father.
Slowly, you turn to face him, hugging Eliza to your chest. Eddie sees the tears building up in your eyes and comes to your side.
“Hey, what is it?” he asks.
“S-She…” You sniffle and shake your head, unable to vocalize it. Her soft downy hair tickles your cheek as you cradle her. “She didn’t do the scrunch.”
Your husband’s face pinches up into a confused frown. His eyes slide to the left, then right, trying to figure out what the hell you’re talking about.
“The…scrunch?” he asks.
“The scrunch!” you whine. “The newborn scrunch!”
By the petulant tone of your voice, Eddie is pretty sure that you would’ve stomped your foot on the ground like a child if you weren’t holding your baby. The look on his face clearly conveys that he has no idea what you’re talking about because you sigh and continue to explain without any further nudge.
“You know how when you pick her up her little legs pull up towards her chest? Like she’s curling in on herself?”
“Oh,” Eddie says as it dawns on him. “Yeah, yeah, now I know what you mean.”
“She didn’t do it when I picked her up.” The wobble in your voice is clear and noticeable even before Eddie sees your bottom lip trembling. “She’s not my newborn anymore.”
“Of course she is,” Eddie says, placing a hand on the middle of your back and rubbing soothing circles there. “She’s only six weeks old.”
“She's already six weeks old!” you cry, the tears finally falling free past the lash line.
“Aw, sweetheart.” Eddie chuckles, not unkindly, as he uses his thumb to wipe your tears away.
“S’not funny,” you mumble, gently resting your head against your daughter’s.
Strong, warm arms wrap around you from the side, and you’re pulled up against a solid frame. A few soft kisses are pressed to the side of your face.
“I’m not laughing at you, baby,” he coos. “I think it’s cute, though.”
“Cute that I’m emotional over our baby growing up?” Your voice is harsher than you intended, but Eddie knows you don’t mean any harm by it. All of your hormones are still out of whack from pregnancy and giving birth.
The end of her scrunch is just the first sign of her growing up. Suddenly you see her walking, saying her first words, going to her first day of pre-school, learning to ride a bike, having her first relationship, going to prom, graduating high school. The cherry on top is her packing up the car to head to college. More tears sting the back of your eyes at the thought. All of a sudden, her mere six weeks seem like a flash in the pan.
“I think you’re cute,” Eddie amends. “Eliza’s still our newborn, though. She’s going to get stronger, and her little habits and cues are going to change, but she still needs her Mommy and Daddy for everything. Hell, I don’t think the boys could survive without us, either.”
Logic doesn’t always help even out the emotions, but your husband’s attempt does break through the surface. With a soft sniffle, you nod your head in agreement. Of course, Eliza is still your newborn and completely dependent on you. It doesn’t mean that you won’t have the same emotional upheaval when she can hold her head up on her own for the first time, but it’s comforting right now.
Eddie has been doing a great job of letting you be a first-time mom and have all the emotions and experiences that go along with it, but sometimes his experience of having had two babies already helps ground you.
“You’re right.” You exhale a deep breath and nod your head. “But I am still going to miss the scrunch.”
“Guess we’ll just have to have another one then, huh? Since you’re going to miss the scrunch,” your husband teases.
Slowly, you turn your head and give him a playful glare. The doctor just gave you the okay to start having sex again. The thought of pushing another baby out of your poor aching body is enough to threaten Eddie with never having sex again.
“When you give birth, we can have all the babies you want,” you say.
Eddie laughs and presses a few kisses against your hair.
“Deal. Alright, let me go get her some clothes.” Eddie gives your side a loving squeeze before heading out into the hallway.
“Daddy’s right,” you say to Eliza as you gently rock her. “You’re still my new baby girl. I mean, look at these little fingers!” You offer her one of your index fingers and her fist instinctively curls around it. A smile grows on your face as you lift her small hand to your lips and press quick kisses against her knuckles.
“Babe?” Eddie says as he grabs onto the bedroom door frame and leans into the room. “Where’s her yellow polka dot onesie? The one with the pink buttons.”
“Hmm?” You look at Eddie over your shoulder before turning to face him properly. “Oh, I packed it away a few days ago. She doesn’t fit into it anymore.”
Eddie frowns as he lets go of the doorframe and takes a few stumbling steps into the room. His messy bedhead sways with the movement.
“What?”
“Yeah, the buttons wouldn’t stretch to snap shut anymore,” you tell him.
A harsh sigh makes you look up at your husband. He crosses his arms over his chest and it’s a frighteningly similar look to when Luke is told he can’t have cookies before dinner.
“What’s wrong?” you ask.
“That was my favorite outfit of hers,” Eddie huffs.
You try your best to hide a smile, but biting your lip can only do so much. Now you realize what Eddie meant when he called you “cute” moments ago. Your husband’s pouting is currently rivaling Eliza’s adorableness.
“It’s okay, Eds,” you tell him.
“How many clothes did you pack?” he asks, coming closer to you.
“A bunch of newborn ones that are too small now.”
“Eliza,” Eddie whines. He rests his chin on your shoulder and reaches around you to grab her tiny foot. “Why you getting so big? Stop growing up.”
It’s impossible for you not to chuckle at his words. Oh, how the tables have turned.

Part 2
“Can you guys please stop screaming at each other?” You call out as you press your phone to your ear. The sounds of children yelling continued down the hallway, clearly they didn't care what you had to say. You let out a frustrated sigh, as the line continues to ring.
Where the hell were they?
It rings another 3 times as you lean against the bathroom counter, closing the door to try to block out the sounds from down the hall. It was going to cut to voicemail soon, just like the last 3 times you called. You start to pull the phone from your ear when it finally stops ringing and a very breathless voice answers.
“Sorry Mo Chridhe, I didn’t hear my phone ringin’” Johnny breathes.
“It's fine,” you mumble into the receiver, your hip bumping into the smooth quartz counter.
“It’s not, you sound defeated, what's wrong?” He asks, the sound of a bag clinking filters over the phone call.
“They just won't stop fighting, they’ve been at each other's throats all day, i don't know what to do anymore.” You sniffle, your eyes filling with tears, you blink them back staring at the ceiling light in effort to keep them at bay.
“They’re just kids, Love, siblings fight. Is that really all that's botherin’ you?”
You chew your bottom lip, “yeah I guess,” you sniffle.
There's another noise on the other line, followed by a gruff voice, “Who are you talking to Sergeant?” Price's voice is slightly garbled over the line.
“Oh just some bonnie lass,” Johnny replies cheekily.
“Hogging the wife all to yourself?” Kyle's voice is there too.
“Ain't hoggin nothin! She called me,” Soap defends himself. There's more static over the phone call. “Hey! Gimme back me phone LT!”
“Love?” Simon's gruff voice fills the line.
“Hi, Si…” you whisper, as the others bicker in the background. Johnny and Kyle arguing over who gets to talk next, and Price’s firm voice telling them to shut up.
“What's wrong?” Simon asks, “are the kids okay?”
“Yeah god, sorry, they're fine, they just won't stop fighting. It's driving me nuts, I think they just miss you guys.” You sigh as there's a loud crash from the living room, followed by even more yelling. “They’re gonna destroy our house..”
“We’re coming home,” and suddenly the line goes dead. You pull the phone away from your ear and look down at the screen. Your home screen staring back at you, it was a picture of the 5 of you. You were at the beach, Simon sitting under an umbrella with a book in his hands. You lean back against his legs, as one of his hands twirls a strand of your hair. You’re looking over at Johnny who was burying Kyle in the sand. Price standing behind them watching the whole thing with a smile on his lips.
You remember that day like it was yesterday even though it was almost 7 years ago now. It was the day that they all asked you to marry them, they had presented you with a large round diamond ring, the band containing their birthstones, each of their initials engraved on the inside. You had sobbed hysterically when they proposed. Each man took a few moments to tell you how you impacted their life in the best way. You never imagined you would marry one of them let alone all of them. While most people didn't think it was conventional and you often got strange looks when you told people you had not 1 but 4 husbands, you didn't care. Each one of your husbands gave you something you needed, and you did the same for them.
A child crying pulls you from your thoughts and you yank open the bathroom door. Your eyes landing on your 4 year old son, Theo running down the hall. His bottom lip is bleeding, as tears roll down his light brown cheeks. He runs to you, small arms up in the air as he wails.
“Theo what happened?” You lean down catching his small body as he crashes into you, smearing blood, snot and tears onto your baby blue t-shirt.
“Issly hit me!” he cries, his little hands coming to wipe at his eyes. You gently pull down his bottom lip, seeing only a small cut on the inside. A frown on your face as you glance back up at the doorway in which Theo ran from.
“Isla!” You call, picking the small child up and resting him on your hip. He presses his face into your shoulder, his messy brown curls tickling your chin. It only takes a moment for Isla to come around the corner, her blue eyes cast down at the ground. Shoulders slumped, light brown hair covering her face as she walks down the hallway towards you.
“Why did you hit Theo?” You sigh, and she looks up. She was pretty much a mirror image of Price. She had his blue eyes and nose, and if it wasn't for the shape of her lips you wouldn't think she was even yours.
“I didn't mean to hit him! He wouldn't stop climbing on me, I asked him to stop 3 times,” she looks at Theo, and then back to you.
“Isla you’re 6 years old, Theo is 4, he’s a lot younger than you, if hes doing something you don't like and he won't listen to you, you come and tell me. You don't use your hands to hurt someone. It's not nice. Now take Theo into the kitchen and help him clean up.
“Yes, Mama,” she nods, and takes Theo from your arms, carrying him past you to the kitchen. You sigh, running your fingers through your hair as you walk down the hall to the living room. It was a disaster, couch cushions on the floor, toys all over the place. A vase of flowers knocked over. A curtain rod half pulled off the wall.
“Seriously?” You mutter, your eyes flickering about the room and finally landing on Joseph and Kira. Kira sits on the coffee table, a book open in her lap, blonde hair pulled back into a messy french braid. Joseph sits next to her, poking her which she ignores.
“Kira, c’mon, stop reading your dumb book and come outside with me!” Joseph whines at his twin.
“It’s not dumb, you’re dumb.” She snaps back, neither having realized you're standing in the doorway.
“I’m gonna tell mom you're being mean to me again,” Joseph pushes her harder, and she snaps her book closed.
“Then I’ll tell Da that you're the one who broke his Rugby trophy.”
“You’re so boring! I hate you!” Joseph yells.
“Enough!” You snap, and both children's eyes meet yours. Joseph’s blue eyes wide as he realizes you heard their conversation. Kira’s brown eyes looking between you and Joseph.
“Kira, Joseph you are 7 years old. Can you please start acting like it? When i tell you to watch your younger siblings i mean it, but yet somehow Isla hit Theo and gave him a split lip and my living room looks like a bomb went off. Not to mention all of you have been fighting for the last week and I‘m not putting up with it anymore!” You press your hand into your forehead, a headache starting to pound behind your eyes. You shake your head slightly looking back at your twins. They were fraternal twins, but had two fathers. Kira was clearly Simons with her light blonde hair and brown eyes, Joseph resembled Johnny, right down to his mischievous personality. They were the first children to be born into your family. Their very existence became known on your wedding day.
You weren’t overly surprised that it was twins either, they ran in your family. The only real shock was when they had their newborn screening after they were born and they had wildly different blood types. Kira was B- Positive, like Simon, and Joseph was O- Positive like Price and Soap. Even though it didn't matter to you who their father was, you still had genetic testing done for each child. Just in case something happened and they needed blood, or god forbid an organ.
The doctors had called them Heteropaternal Superfecundation, an anomaly when twins have two different biological fathers. Now as you stare at Medical anomalies, you sigh. They were your oldest, the ones you counted on to help out with small things. “What is going on with you two lately?” You sit on the edge of the table.
“We miss Dads…” Kira mumbles, looking down at her book.
“We all do,” Joseph adds.
Tears well in your eyes, “I know it's hard when they’re away, and I know I'll ask you to help me more when they’re gone. I miss them too. But I think theyre coming home, at least that’s what Daddy said.”
“They're coming home? All of them?” Kira asks, her brown eyes widening.
“I think so, I called Da, and then I heard Dad and Papa, and then suddenly it was Daddy on the phone, as he said that they were coming home.” You shrug, and your children brighten at the fact that their fathers were coming home.
“ISLA! THEO! They’re coming home!” Joseph yells as he scrambles off the coffee table. Two sets of small feet race down the hall, and soon four of your children are standing in the messy living room.
“Theo, you pick up your toys, Isla help me put the couch back together, Joseph you can clean up the vase,” Kira turns to you, “Mama could you help with the curtain?”
“Oh so you want to clean up since your fathers are on their way?” You raise an eyebrow, and all of your children nod.
“Please mama, They’ve been on base for a month now..” Joseph blinks at you with his big blue eyes.
“Fine, I'll fix the curtain but it doesnt mean youre off the hook for your behaviors.”
It only takes an hour for the living room to be put back in order, it was amazing what your children could get done if they had the motivation to do so. You walk up the stairs to the second floor of your home, and gently push open the door to one of the bedrooms. The room is dark, and cool, a sound machine humming in the corner. You peek into the dark room, the light wood crib in the middle of the far wall, a small figure sleeping in the middle on their back. Hands up by their head as they sleep.
Your youngest, Hope, was 9 months old, she was your miracle baby. You had always wanted a large family, to give each of your husbands as many children as they wanted but it hasn't worked out that way. While you were pregnant with Theo you had some severe complications that had left you on death's doorstep. You had actually died once while in labor with him, causing him to be born by emergency C-Section. You woke up to 4 very concerned Husbands who spent the next 2 months by your side as you recovered. They had all been hesitant for more children after that. Each of them worried that your body wouldn't be able to handle another pregnancy. But after a few years you had convinced them that you would be fine, you wanted more kids. It took almost a year of trying and a few miscarriages for you to get pregnant with Hope.
Thankfully your pregnancy had gone smoothly, no complications, and she was born on christmas day. Now she was a happy and healthy 9 month old, one of the easiest babies you had. She slept through the night almost immediately and rarely fussed.
She stirs as you walk into the room, her little blue eyes blinking open, a smile forming on her little lips as she sees you. She gives you a gummy smile, two bottom teeth on display proudly as she turns over in her crib, pulling herself up to stand in her crib.
“Well hi baby, did you have a good nap?” You smile at her, as she bounces in her crib. Tiny baby hands gripping the bars, as you walk over to her. You scoop her up into your arms, baby babble filling your ears as she claps.
“Your dads are on their way home! Papa and Daddy and Da and Dad, yeah, are you excited to see them?” You kiss her chubby cheek, and she laughs.
The sound of commotion downstairs makes you pause, a chorus of voices floating up the stairs. They’re home.
“Daddy! PAPA!” Isla yells.
“DA! DAD! PAPA! DADDY!” Joseph and Kira join in.
“Dadadadada!” Theo’s tiny voice is there too, his screeches growing louder as you get to the top of the stairs.
“Where's your mother?” Price asks, his commanding voice cutting through the excitement of the group.
“She went to get Hope up from her nap,” Joseph responds, your footsteps on the stairs. You round the corner into the front entrance of your home. Simon holds Theo in his arms as Theo pulls the skull balaclava over his head. Joseph and Isla hang off Kyle and Johnny, their arms wrapped around their waists as they hug them. Kyle strokes Islas hair back from her face as he smiles down at her. Joseph's face is pressed into Soap's stomach, as his hands gently squeeze his shoulders. John is crouched in front of Kira, he smiles at her, his fingers tapping the tip of her nose as she smiles.
“Hi Lovie,” Simon is the first to speak. His brown eyes search your face before they settle on Hope who is in your arms, chewing on her chubby little hand, drool trailing down her chin and soaking her onesie.
“Hi,” You smile, your eyes burning with unshed tears. Your gaze trailing over each of them as they reunite with their children.
God how you missed them.
“Joseph, Kira, Isla, take Theo and Hope to the backyard and play for a few moments. We need to talk with Mama, okay?” Kyle says softly, and the older children nod. Kira comes over and grabs Hope from your arms, she quickly walks Hope over to each of her fathers and allows them all to kiss her on the head before she brings her out to the garden. Joseph, Isla and Theo follow after them. Theo holding onto Josephs hand as he asks him to push him on the swing.
The door to the garden closes with a soft click and the room is quiet for once. You stare at each of your husbands for a moment. Your throat tight, eyes burning, lower lip wobbling. It’s Soap who moves first, boots echoing on the tile floor as he grabs your waist and pulls you into his warm chest.
“No tears Mo Chridhe, we’re home now,” he speaks into your hair, dropping a kiss onto your head. He squeezes you tightly before his hands come up to cup your cheeks. He gently kisses your lips, and then moves to the side. Allowing Kyle to take his place, Kyle's soft hands slip into your hair at the base of your neck as he studies your tearful eyes.
“Why didn't you say something sooner Baby?” He asks softly, his lips brushing over your closed eyes.
“Didn't want to bother you guys… I know your training recertification is important…” You sniffle.
“Nonsense,” Price grumbles, coming to stand next to Kyle. Kyle releases you and John pulls you into him. His beard tickles your cheek as he leans down to press his lips against your neck. He places feather light kisses along your neck up to your jaw and then finally your lips. “You are far more important, all you had to do was call and I would have made arrangements to do it at a later time.”
“I know.. I just.. I don't know,” you look down at the socked feet.
“Johnny and I will go watch the kids in the garden,” Kyle says, giving your shoulder a soft squeeze.
“Don’t forget that you’re important too, if you need us tell us. You can't shoulder everything alone. If you need a break you have to tell us Darling,” Price looks into your eyes, and you nod. “I’ll go fix us some dinner, yeah?”
He kisses you again, before the three of them disappear into the rest of the house. You can hear the children laughing as Kyle and Johnny join them in their games. The faint sound of the radio coming from the kitchen as John starts to cook dinner for the family. Only you and Simon remain in the front entrance.
His brown eyes study you as he leans against the door, his arms crossed over his chest. To anyone else they would think he was angry, his expression blank as he looked you over from head to toe. You shift under his gaze, and wipe the stray tears from your cheeks. You finally let out a small breath, your eyes meeting Simons.
“How do you know everytime?” You finally ask, and the corner of Simon's mouth ticks up.
“Don't know what youre talking about Lovie,” he grumbles as he pushes off the door and crosses the room in a few easy strides.
“Yes you do, you always know when I'm at my breaking point. I said 2 sentences to you, and yet you knew I needed all of you home,” you look up at him. The height difference between the two of you forcing you to crane your neck.
“I just know you, the others do too. We all knew something was wrong after we realized we had missed calls from you. I just wasn't going to listen to you try to tell us you’d be okay. They’re far more considerate of your wishes than I am.” Simon muses, his hand coming to brush a strand of hair from your face.
“What about your training?” You ask, leaning into his palm.
“Laswell will take care of it. We have more important things to take care of.”
“Simon…” You start to argue but he cuts you off, his hands coming to your waist as he yanks you closer, his lips on yours, silencing your argument.
“I was given orders to prepare you a hot bath,” he pulls away. “And then we’re all going to eat dinner together. Your husbands will bathe and put the older children to bed as you feed Hope her last feed, and then I’ll put her to bed. While i put her to bed, the others will be taking care of you. Okay?”
“You don't have too… you’ve all been bus-”
“Lovie, enough. We might be busy at base, but youre taking care of the most important things in our lives everyday. Without break. We work a lot, but you never get to stop. Your job is never ending, let us take care of them for tonight. Let us show you how much we appreciate you. Besides, we’ve missed you… so please, let us.” Simon cups your face, his thumb brushing your bottom lip.
You give a small nod. “Okay.”

hiii, congrats on 2k!!!
i was thinking about a second hand book with cold!reader... something like "midnight visitor", but this time is reader who as a really bad day and knock on spencer door without even realizing what she is doing. i dont know if it makes sense :)💓
MIDNIGHT VISITOR — SPENCER REID!
how did you end up at spencer’s apartment in the middle of the night, and why do you want to stay?
spencer reid x cold!reader | h/c? | 1.3k | cold!reader masterlist.
book fayre masterlist! | main masterlist.
a/n — had this tucked away in my drafts and didn’t even realise it was there oops—
It had been one of those days where nothing seemed to go right.
From the moment you woke up, things spiralled: you missed your alarm, spilled coffee all over yourself, and work was an endless stretch of stress and chaos. By the time you left the office, you felt drained, like you were running on empty.
Everything was too loud, too much, and all you wanted was a moment of quiet—but there was nowhere you wanted to be, and nowhere you felt you could go.
You wandered through the cold, feeling a chill seep deep into your bones, and without thinking, found yourself standing in front of a familiar apartment door.
You hadn’t meant to knock on his door. In fact, you hadn’t even realised what you were doing until your knuckles had already rapped against the wood.
The sound echoed in the quiet hallway of his apartment building, louder than you anticipated. You froze, the weight of the day crashing down over you all at once, making you wish you could sink into the floor and disappear.
You stared at the door to Spencer’s place, not even sure why you had come.
He was your friend, yes, but you’d always been more reserved with him, keeping your walls up even though he’d never judged you for it.
But there was something about Spencer Reid—his quiet empathy, the gentle way he seemed to understand things without words—that drew you in, even when you weren’t willing to admit you needed anyone.
The door opened almost immediately, Spencer’s familiar face greeting you with a look of surprise. He wore a pair of loose sweatpants and a soft-looking t-shirt, the picture of calm and comfort — a stark contrast to how you felt.
“Hey,” he said softly, his voice carrying that usual gentle warmth. His brow furrowed in concern as he took in your tense posture and tired expression, like he’d just knocked on your door in the middle of the night and not the other way around. “Everything okay?”
It wasn’t. Nothing about today had been okay. Work had been an unrelenting blur of stress, your interactions with people had felt stilted and cold, and every little thing that went wrong added a fresh layer to your frustration.
“I’m fine,” you said quickly, the automatic response slipping from your lips. You shifted uncomfortably, suddenly hyper-aware of your impulsive decision to show up unannounced.
“I don’t even—” You cut yourself off frustratedly, pinching the bridge of your nose and turning to look down the hallway. “Whatever, goodnight Reid.”
You started to leave, but Spencer’s hand gently gripped your arm, stopping you in your tracks.
“Stay,” he said, his voice steady. “Come inside.”
You hesitated, the urge to retreat warring with the pull of his kindness. You weren’t used to seeking comfort from others, preferring to keep your struggles locked away. It was easier that way. But something in Spencer’s gaze made it hard to refuse.
Reluctantly, you stepped inside. His apartment was a haven of quiet and warmth, a far cry from the chaos that had been swirling around in your mind all day. The soft glow of a lamp cast a cozy light over the room, and the faint scent of books and coffee hung in the air.
Spencer closed the door behind you and led you to the couch, motioning for you to sit. You sank down, the exhaustion in your bones making it hard to do anything but comply.
“Rough day?” he asked, sitting beside you but keeping a respectful distance. He didn’t press, didn’t push for details, just opened the door for you to share if you wanted.
You nodded slowly, biting the inside of your cheek.
“Yeah,” you muttered. “Something like that.”
For a moment, silence settled between you. It wasn’t uncomfortable, though. Spencer had always been good at that—at letting silence be its own form of conversation. He didn’t fill the space with unnecessary words, and that was one of the things you appreciated most about him. He gave you room to breathe.
After a few minutes, you let out a quiet sigh. “I don’t even know why I came here,” you admitted, your eyebrows furrowed angrily like you were trying to curse out your own consciousness.
Spencer’s expression softened, his eyes filled with understanding. “I’m glad you did,” he said simply. “You don’t have to explain yourself.”
You bit your lip, a sudden wave of emotion leaving your face to harden again, like your conscious mind had finally caught back up to you. “I shouldn’t stay long,” you murmured. “I’m fine, really. I just—”
“You’re not fine,” Spencer interrupted gently, but firmly. “And that’s okay. You don’t have to be fine all the time.”
“You saying that doesn’t change anything.”
Spencer sighs softly. “I know, but I’m here,”
His words did strike a chord. You’d been telling yourself that same lie for so long, that you had to be strong, that showing vulnerability was a weakness. But sitting here in Spencer’s quiet apartment, with his calm presence grounding you, the weight of the day felt a little less heavy.
Spencer stood and disappeared into the kitchen for a moment before returning with a glass of water and a blanket. He handed you the water and draped the blanket over your shoulders, his movements slow and careful, like he didn’t want to overwhelm you.
“You don’t have to leave,” he said softly. “Stay the night. You look like you could use the rest.”
You opened your mouth to protest, but the words didn’t come. You were too tired, too drained to argue, and there was a part of you—a small, fragile part—that didn’t want to leave. Not yet.
“Okay,” you breathed out, despite that small malingering urge to just disappear.
Spencer nodded, his expression calm but relieved. “I’ll grab some extra pillows,” he said, standing up again. “You can take the couch, or you can have my bed if you want.”
“The couch is fine.” you insisted quickly, you didn’t want him going out of his way to do anything for you that you deemed unnecessary.
He smiled softly. “Alright. Let me know if you need anything.”
As Spencer disappeared into the other room to fetch the pillows, you sat back against the couch, pulling the blanket tighter around your shoulders.
The weight of the day was still there, but somehow, it felt a little more bearable now. You didn’t have to carry it alone anymore—at least for tonight.
When Spencer returned and set the pillows beside you, you thanked him quietly. He gave you one last reassuring look before retreating to his bedroom, leaving you with the comforting hum of the apartment’s quiet.
For the first time in what felt like forever, you let yourself relax. You let yourself feel tired, feel vulnerable. And for once, you didn’t feel the need to pretend you were fine.
Because here, in Spencer’s quiet company, it was okay not to be.

Couldn't resist writing my own, this is my first time so NO JUDGING PLZ 🙏🏻 (excuse for the grammar mistakes, English is not my first language 🥲)
You once had a family in which you hold very dear to you, a fantastic one at that. Movie nights in the weekends, shopping sprees with your mom, teaching your little brother his homework, and helping your stepdad with his mechanical shenanigans. The normal domestic family one would always dream of. Everything was great! What else could you ask for?
----------------------------------------------
You remember that memory, you and you family were going to a museum. Your brother shouting your name to hurry up because "We will arrive to a longgggg line! I don't like waiting!" You we're sleepy, your movements were sluggish, you didn't feel like going out of your bed. Your stepdad told you that you could just sleep in the car on the way to the museum, that made you quickly get ready and hopped in the car.
On the road, You four were singing along to a song you don't remember much. Arriving and then walking in the museum was okay, strolling and looking at some animals that went extinct. Your brother went crazy when you guys arrived at the dinosaur section.
Everything was great! That is until the ground started shaking. it was slow at first, barely felt, and then it started shaking so fast that the T-Rex skeleton structure started to fall off one by one. The ground was shaking, so was your body. You felt terrified, the only thing that took you out of your terrified state was the reassuring hand of your mother holding yours and your stepdad's gaze that shouted a million reassuring words.
People were screaming, crying, running, and shouting. You were a brave kid, you didn't shout or cried. Amidst the chaos, you lost the warm feeling of your mother's hand Interlocked with yours, your father's gaze, and your brother's tight embrace.
You were alone and terrified. Standing alone in the middle of the room with tears spilling from your eyes, your mouth shut even though you want to shout for your family. What could a nine year old even do in a terrifying situation such as this? The next thing you know, the light is out.
You were welcomed by a white ceiling, Your eyes blurry, and your head throbbing in pain. A nurse comes up to you, was her name Alice? Alex? Ally? You don't remember. Her words were inaudible to you, probably asking about how you feel.
Then you remember what happened, your mom, dad, and brother where are they? Are they okay? What happened? With a small and broken voice, you asked about them. The nurse opened and closed her mouth as if unsure if she should tell you. For a few minutes she just kept pondering, you weren't an impatient child like your brother, but you felt as if you have his impatience right at this moment.
You asked again, clearly frustrated and confused. The doctor speaks up, when did he come in? He apologizes, says something about how they did everything they could, but still couldn't save them. What are they talking about? You were sure you heard your mom just calling out to you earlier, aren't they outside the room? They should come in, you want to see them.
You couldn't figure out what emotions was written all over the doctor and nurse's face. You we're always around joyful people, not whatever they we're feeling right at that time.
Suddenly a knock was heard on the door, your uncle stepped in the room. No mom, dad, or brother. Where are they? Are they still asleep?
You couldn't figure out what expression he was wearing again, it was similar to the doctor and the nurse. You didn't care because the next words your uncle let out was one you will never move on from.
"They're dead, your families dead." He says, his voice was odd, it had something more to it than normal. Your nine year old brain couldn't believe it. Them? Dead? No, your mom was calling out to you earlier, you heard her calling your voice!
You didn't take it lightly, you we're a child. A child mourning the lost of it's family.
----------------------------------------------
Fast forward to a week, you're in another city, a city far away from home. Your uncle couldn't take you in simply because he was a busy man. So here you are, Infront of your biological father's doorstep.
It's scary here compared to the lush green grass and blue blue skies of your home. A guy named Alfred accompanied you inside, it was empty. Clean yet empty. Very empty.
No toys laying around the place caused by your brother, no sweet scent of a dessert your mom was making, no dad fixing whatever he could find fixable. Where is he anyways? Where's your biological father? You were expecting a warm welcome. He's your biological father after all, the man your mom made you with.
But the welcome was far from your expectations. It was cold, shivering even. Only the Alfred guy made the place less horrifying.
How will your life go on? You were still mourning. And your dad not welcoming you made you feel worse.
Alfred says he's busy, that he will go and greet me later. You obviously believed him, he looked trustworthy.
He leads to a room, it was clean and smelt like cleaning materials. It was quite huge for the nine year old you, bigger than the room back at home.
Alfred offered you to eat, you denied, saying you were tired from the long flight and needed rest. He let you, obviously.
So, now you were staring at the dark ceiling without the glow in the dark stars you had back home. The room was quite, you didn't like the smell. The house was huge and scary. Maybe one day you'll find this house warm and you'll consider this place your new home.
Or maybe not.
Who knows?

Shhh...Just A Little Bit More
Part Three (Soft Version)
DBF!Joel x Female!Reader - 18+
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 (Spicy Version)
Summary: Joel Miller caught you working where you shouldn't be after you promised to quit. Now he's taking matters into his own hands. Word Count 4.7k
CW: DBF!, Dom!, SoftDom!, use of nicknames (baby, sweet pea, baby girl etc.), Sub/Dom, DD/LG, use of a collar, use of toys. no use of y/n. no description of reader except for piercings. Praise, degradation. After care.
AN: THANK YOU for all your love on parts 1 and 2. I was in my feels when I wrote this, so this is the sweeter version of the two. I'd love to hear which version you preferred!
“Hey, buddy. It’s Joel.”
“Joel?” You can hear your dad’s muffled and panicked voice through the receiver. “Where’s my daughter? Why do you have her phone? It’s 5 am!”
“Remember that time Sarah ran away to your house and you told me that one day I might be doing the same for you?”
Your dad is silent for a while, a distorted higher pitched voice filters through before you hear your dad again, “It’s alright honey. She’s with Joel.” He lets out a deep sigh before adding, “I thought we skipped the rebellious phase with her.”
“She’s a good girl. I think she just needs some time to cool off.” Joel says, his voice is friendly and light.
You squeeze your thighs together and nuzzle deeper into Joel’s throat. You know what you need, and it isn’t to cool off. He and your dad have been friends since the day he moved in down the street. You were seven and Sarah was eleven, you thought she was the coolest person on the planet. Wonder what she’d think of you now, cuddled up against her dad after he just edged the fuck out of you after spanking you in an alleyway. You’re lost in your thoughts as Joel talks with your parents for a while.
A sane person would stop being so turned on right now. Fuck, I need Joel. So badly. Maybe I should rile him up some more.
“I’ll come by this afternoon,” Joel hugs you tighter, bringing you back to the conversation. “Ya, if she wants to, I’ll bring her. She’s ok, just never seen her more - frustrated.”
You squeeze his side, knowing he’s smirking about how frustrated and needy you truly are right now. He hangs up the phone and brings his lips to yours, kissing you harder this time. You moan into his mouth, hands roaming up his body to tangle in his hair.
Holy shit, Joel Miller is kissing me.
As you run your nails along his scalp he lets out a pleasurable sounding gasp. Oh, he likes that, he likes that very much.
Got ya, you think to yourself.
He pulls away to see you smiling at him. “This is why I usually tie naughty girls down,” his voice is completely different from how it was just moments ago. Deeper, more commanding, and it reverberates through you, right to your pussy. “Because they think they’ve found spots that will get them what they want. Let’s go home now, darlin’.”
Joel’s front door has barely closed before he’s pushing you up against the wall, caged in by his arms and strong chest.
Every bump on the drive home had you twitching, you tried your hardest not to gasp and moan but the combination of the gravel road, your insane state of heightened arousal, and the lack of underwear in your stiff denim shorts were all working against you.
“Did you come on the drive home?” He says coldly, lips pressing against your neck, hitting that sweet soft spot just below your ear.
“No, Joel,” you whine.
His teeth graze your throat and you cry out, “It’s Mr Miller, don’t make me remind you again.”
Your hands scramble for purchase as your knees start to give out, wrapping around the open flannel shirt he’s wearing over a fitted black t-shirt.
“I’m sorry, Mr Miller. I don’t…” you trail off, you aren’t sure if you should say you’ve never been a sub before, at least not to someone this experienced. You don’t want him to stop, you love what happened tonight and you want him to show you and teach you what this all means. But even more so, you trust him to teach you.
Joel stops kissing you, hands coming to your waist and lifting you so your eye level. When you wrap your legs around his trim waist you gasp out in a mix of pleasure and pain. Your poor cunt is begging for relief but you can’t barely stand your clit to be touched. His eyes look at you with concern.
I deserve to go to hell if she tells me she’s a virgin. Fuck, you were so stupid when it comes to her.
“I need you to finish that sentence, babygirl. You don’t what?”
Your cheeks turn an adorable shade of pink, so shy compared to that bratty girl who told him to kiss his ass. Joel has the gut sinking feeling that you might have him wrapped around your little finger already.
Dangerous.
Very very dangerous.
Not to mention stupid.
“I’ve just..” you start, he brings his hands to cup your face, moving a few strands of stray hairs that are stuck to your lips. “I haven’t had a Dom before. I don’t know what to do or what to call you.”
Cute, Joel thinks to himself, she’s so fucking cute right now.
“Well babygirl, when we are playing like this you do what I tell you, and if you don’t like what I tell you, you use the safe word. Do you remember it?”
You nod, biting your lip as you whisper, “Cowboy.”
His face lights up with pride and in that moment you realize you’ll do anything to have him look at you like that again. And when he throws in a gravelly, ‘good girl’, any inhibitions you had go out the window. You are a good girl, you want to be his good girl…forever.
He continues, “And when we are playing you call me Mr Miller. Otherwise, you can call me whatever you’d like.” He places a light kiss on the tip of your nose and you melt a little more into him and the wall behind you. “Do you have any other questions, baby?”
Do you know what it does to me when you call me baby?
Or kiss my nose or forehead like you have?
Can you spank me again?
Can you make me come?
Can I suck your dick?
How do you feel about anal?
“Umm,” you press your lips together, eyes taking in every little bit of his face, trying to memorize this moment. “How will I know when we are playing and when we aren’t?”
Fuck, if this girl lets me put a collar on her I’m going to come in my pants and then propose.
“There’s my smart girl,” he praises, his coffee and caramel coloured eyes washing over you. “We can have a symbol, something I give you when we play. And when you’re wearing it you’re mine.” His voice sounds full of passion all of a sudden, each work almost sears itself onto your heart.
Your heart is pounding at what he’s implied and you’re almost sure he can hear it. “What kind of symbol?”
He puts you down and then gets on one knee to untie your shoes and help you slip them off. His warm fingertips trail up your legs as he stands before taking your hand in his. With his large palm encasing yours, suddenly you feel safe and loved, your pussy flutters at the promise of him taking care of you in a way that only he can. You know you’re going to be ruined for all other men.
He leads you to his bedroom and it’s nothing like you remember when you’d play hide and seek while Sarah babysat you. Gone is the old wooden furniture and mismatched bedding. Replaced with a black metal bed frame, along with matching bedside tables and dresser, and the fluffiest white sheets you’ve ever seen. You so badly want to just sink in and get naked with Joel. It looks like it would be like getting fucked on a cloud or cotton candy and those thoughts are only solidified when he tells you to sit before he heads to the closet doors.
He slides the barn door of his large walk-in closet open. The room seems to wrap you up in Joel’s scent, warm and spicy with a hint of vanilla. As he walks into the closet he toes off his boots and then slides his flannel off, placing it on a hanger. It might be your very neglected pussy talking, but you swear you can see every muscle in his body underneath that shirt and you unconsciously spread your legs a little bit. He reaches up above the clothing and pulls out a black box with a lock on it and then looks at you mischievously as he pads back over to you.
“Sometimes,” he says gently, “A dom will give their sub a collar. When it’s on, we’re playing. You belongs to me. When it’s off, we can just act how we normally would.”
A collar, definitely not sure how you feel about that. You don’t want to be like a dog with a black leather collar around your neck. He slides the numbers to enter the combination and then flicks the clasp open.
To your surprise, he pulls out a dainty golden chain. It almost looks like a bunch of yellow paper clips strung together, and there’s a tiny lock pendant on the end. He runs the thin links through his fingers before looking over at you.
“You don’t have to do this, I can just take you home and we can go back to how things were. Ultimately, you always have the choice.” If a stranger could see the way he was looking at you right now, they’d never be able to tell he was capable of the spanking he gave you earlier.
“You’ll stop if I say ‘cowboy’?” You say, voice cracking, nervous and excited energy fighting for first place.
“Always, babygirl. I’m here to dominate you, but I’m also here to take care of you. A good dom will always take of their sub.”
“Then I want to. Please, Mr Miller. Make me yours.”
He almost growls as he pulls you to your feet. You squeal as he hoists you over his shoulder, his hands strong on the back of your thighs as he carries you to the floor-length mirror at the end of his closet. He stands behind you as he works the clasp, placing the thin gold collar around your neck and then doing it up. He’s so close that you can feel his cock harden at the sight of you as he officially makes you as his for the first time. Joel's thick fingers trace along the rings, he thumbs the little lock pendant before he grips your throat just below your jawline. He applies pressure to your pulse point as his now black eyes come to meet yours in the reflection and brings his lips to your ear.
With a growling, rough whisper he says, “You have five seconds to get naked and lay in my bed with your legs spread as wide as you can.”
The instant his hand releases, you sprint to his bed, stripping your clothes as you go. He counts to five with authority and after what happened his truck, and now this, you’re sure you’re never going to be able to count without getting turned on ever again.
“Such an eager little thing, aren’t you?”
Desperate to hear him praise you, you lay on your back, planting your feet on the bed before letting your knees fall open.
“Straighten your legs and put your hands above your head.” You position your body how he says, even though you’re completely exposed to him his eyes stay locked on yours. “This is how I want you when we start playing. Exactly how you are now.”
He grabs another box from his closet and places it on the foot of the bed, eyes travelling up your toned legs, “I’m going to show you what you’ll be going to work with inside of you tomorrow if you decide to stay there. I haven’t forgotten that you were a brat tonight.”
He opens the box and pulls out a black U-shaped piece of silicone and lays it on your belly. “Do you know what this….”
He stops mid-sentence, eyes lighting up as they rake over your tits. They dance from each nipple, taking in the tiny barbell and the thin hearts that encompass each one. “You are a naughty little thing, aren’t you?”
“I like pain,” you whisper, throat going dry at the admission.
“My little masochist,” he hums. “As I was saying, do you know that is?” He nods his head towards the little toy.
You shake your head, “No, Mr Miller.”
“That goes inside your gorgeous pussy. One part pushes on your g spot, the other on your clit. I have the remote.” He holds up a small plastic remote with a few shiny buttons.
“Oh,” you moan, your lips forming in the shape of the word, nipples getting harder at the thought.
“I will keep it turned on low enough that you will not come. In fact, it might be more like torture than pleasure.” His eyes are sparkling at the thought of you squirming for hours.
“But I don’t want to quit,” you whine. You’re a glutton for punishment and you know Joel will dish it out.
“How long is your shift?” He says, picking up the toy, the graze of his fingers along your belly sends an electric current through your body.
“Four hours,” your voice is husky with need.
“I’m going to get some lube and then put this toy inside of you now, babygirl. We’ll see how long you can last. Is that okay?”
“Of course, Mr Miller.” You try to sound confident but in the bright lights of his room, you can see how dark and serious he looks.
He lubes up the toy and then swipes some lube through your folds. Your back arches off the bed and you let out a loud high pitched moan when he hits your clit.
Fuck. I’m gonna come with the tiniest vibration and it’s probably going to hurt.
“So wet. So swollen. My poor girl,” he says mockingly, he’s loving that you’ve been suffering and on edge since the minute you saw him in that alleyway.
The toy slides in and the pressure just from the silicone alone sends the air whooshing out of your lungs. You’re gasping for breath, your clit feels like it’s being zapped with electricity and you immediately slam your thighs together and start to whimper.
A small, almost evil sounding chuckle comes from Joel as he holds up the remote. “Ready?”
“No,” you gasp, rolling onto your belly. “I can’t. Please don’t.”
“Are you going to quit?”
You cry out in frustration into one of his fluffy pillows and then whisper a sad, “no.”
The vibrator comes to life and the most intense mix of pain and pleasure floods your body. He’s right, the sensation isn’t enough to make you come, just enough so that you know it’s there. You bury your face deeper in the pillows, curling yourself into the fetal position, back towards Joel, as you try to breathe normally.
Joel strips down to his boxers before shutting off the lights. He slips into the sheets, covering you up along the way. “Good night, baby girl.”
“What?” You gasp. “Mr Miller. I….oh god…I c-can’t. It’s on.”
“You may as well get used to it. You’re going to work with it in tomorrow. No more talking. Go to sleep.”
Joel lays on his back, one arm behind his head, the other palm spread out on his chest. You flip around to face him, the early morning sun lighting his profile. There’s no way you’re going to be able to sleep, you shift your legs around.
Maybe if they’re spread I won’t feel the vibration as much.
That doesn’t seem to work so instead you squeeze them together. More pressure might make you come and then you can finally get some rest. Joel looks over at you as you jerk around silently.
“Come here,” he says, patting his chest. You cuddle into him, one leg draping over his warm body. The arm behind his head wraps around your naked body. He feels so soft but hard against you. You can’t help but hump against his hip bone. You’re right on the edge. So close to tipping over it and coming. So very close.
“Baby, it hasn’t even been four minutes, how are you going to last four hours?” He’s taunting you, trying to get you to beg. “You’re pathetic.”
You can feel sweat breaking out across your body. This is torture, was right. You hate that he was right, but you hate even more how much he’s loving it.
“Please,” you whisper.
He pulls back to be able to look into your eyes. “What are you going to do for me if I make you come?”
“Anything. Just. Please, Mr Miller.” You grind yourself into him harder, you’re so close that it’s almost unbearable.
“Quit your job, baby girl.” He demands again. “I’ll tell your parents you’re going to work for me.”
You start to pant as the pressure in your lower belly increases, you can feel wetness pooling inside of you, begging to be released. “I can’t take your money. Oh god - please - I ca-can’t. Hnnnnng. P-please.”
A tear runs down your cheek and you’re not even sure why you’re crying, probably out of frustration.
“You can. I’ll pay you to help around the house,” he holds up a hand, almost like he knows exactly what you’re doing today. “Not for the sex you’re guaranteed to get if you quit and come here.” He wipes the tear away and hikes his leg up to increase the pressure that’s already on the verge of making you pass out.
Stars start to blur your vision as you whisper, “ok. I’ll quit.”
Joel has you flipped onto your back, trapped under his weight before you can even register what’s happening. He’s kissing you deeply, tongue taking what it wants as your legs kick and shake under him.
“Please!” You cry between kisses.
His thick fingers slide between your puffy folds and the toy, you scream out as he pulls the toy from you.
“Shhh…just a little bit more. I’m going to make it better,” he says gently, kissing down your neck, swirling his tongue around each nipple piercing.
“Please. Please. Please, Mr Miller. Please. It hurts. I need, please.” You’re a mumbling mess and the words leaving your lips are practically incomprehensible.
“I know. Relax baby. Breathe.” He says between kisses down your sternum, his tongue tracing your curves. When he finally settles in between your thighs he swallows hard, he wants to dive right in, make you drench his face as you come. “Look at me, darlin’.”
His warm breath hits your pussy and you fight your hips from bucking up to his face as prop yourself up on an elbow and try to focus your eyesight on him. You didn’t know it was possible to be so turned on that you practically had tequila vision.
His voice is serious yet calm as he says, “I’m going to make you come using my fingers and my tongue. Is that ok?”
You nod your head and a faint ‘yes’, leaves your lips.
“Can I lick and touch both the outside and inside of this beautiful, weeping, pussy?”
His words from earlier echo through you. Ultimately, you always have the choice.
Joel Miller would never do something you didn’t want and that sets your soul on fire. He cares. About you. Only you. Wants to do things for you. You are not a burden here. You are not a burden to him.
“Yes, Mr Miller. Please. Touch me.” The room suddenly feels twenty degrees hotter, you can feel sweat beading on your skin.
“What’s your safe word?”
“Cowboy,” you hum, never taking your eyes away from his blown out obsidian gaze.
“That’s my girl,” he says, sliding his ring and middle finger around your desperate entrance. You cry out, dropping your body to the bed. Pleasure. Overwhelming pleasure. “No no baby girl, eyes on me.”
You somehow muster the strength to raise yourself onto shaky arms. His two strong fingers slide deep into your heat with minimal resistance and you immediately start gasping. Pleasure. Life altering, heart stopping pleasure.
“Fuuuuck. Baby. So tight. Have you ever squirted before?” His cheeks are flushed with need. He might be the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen.
Your breasts rise and fall with your ragged breaths. You shake your head and moan out a ‘no’.
He smiles down at your dripping cunt, “I can feel it. Gotta relax for me. Just breathe and let it happen.”
Nerves flutter in your stomach and then he curls his fingers forward, putting so much pressure on a soft spongy spot that you didn’t know existed. On instinct, your knees try to close but his wide frame keeps you open. You yell his name to the ceiling, he knows he should punish you for not calling him Mr Miller but you look so goddamn beautiful as you start to fall apart.
“Breathe baby,” he says as he curls his fingers once, twice, three more times. You can hear how wet you are and the pressure becomes unbearable. Stars blur your vision again, the walls of your pussy squeeze tightly around his fingers and then it’s just a blur. A blur of all consuming pleasure.
“That’s it. That’s my girl. Come for me. Soak me. Good girl,” Joel’s free hand pressed down on your mound as a wet heat leaks all over you. “Good fuckin’ girl. Let go for me.”
You’re not sure if you’re screaming or not, all you hear and feel is Joel. Everything is Joel. Strong hands, deep gravel voice, warm vanilla smell. He’s everywhere and you never want it to stop.
“Keep going. That’s it. You look so beautiful,” he says, licking a long stripe up your fluttering pussy, drinking up your juices. “Oooh yeah - gooood giiirrll”
Almost immediately after your orgasm crests it becomes too much. You’re so overstimulated that it hurts and your moans of pleasure become cries of pain. You forget your name, where you are, you even forget your safe word. But Joel knows, he always knows.
He stops pumping his fingers and says your name, “look at me sweet pea.”
You blink slowly, you’re wrecked, barely able to keep your eyelids open, almost convinced they’ve been replaced with steel. You’re sucking in air, did you not breathe that entire time?
“Breathe baby, you’re ok.” He says, stilling his fingers until you’re ready.
“I’m sorry, Mr Miller. I know I called you Joel. I won’t do it again.”
There she goes again, being so fucking cute. “It’s ok, darlin’ girl. I want you to let loose when you come.” He places a few light kisses along your thighs. The sheets and his t-shirt a soaked, he’ll need to change things before you both get some sleep. “I’m gonna pull my fingers out.”
You fall back to the bed and fist the sheets to ground yourself as he slides his fingers out. “You did such a good job. Made a huge mess. I’m so proud of you, babygirl.”
Every bone and muscle in your body seems to have dissolved and all you can muster is a weak smile and a little whimper of thanks. “I need to get you cleaned up. Stay here.”
Stay here? I have no bones. Where else will go?
The sound of running water coaxes your eyes to close. The mattress shifts under Joel’s weight as he sits beside you, lightly trailing his finger down the bridge of your nose. “I’m going to carry you to the shower. Ok?”
You let out an agreeable hum as he scoops you into his arms. His warm naked chest pressed against you. He walks into the shower with you, the steam warming your skin. He places you on your feet and guides you under the water with him. Water is hitting you from all angles. You open your eyes to see 3 showerheads in his large, modern glass shower. A large rainfall one above the two of you, then two down the wall. The bundle of fresh eucalyptus hanging from one head fills the shower with a fresh scent.
His fingers fumble with the clasp of your collar behind you, “how are you feeling after what happened tonight?”
You smile at the white and black tiled wall as the collar slides off your neck and into Joel’s hands. “Mmm - like I’m not gonna quit my job so we can do it again.”
“Don’t think I won’t put this on again right now and make you regret that.”
You giggle and press your body back into Joel’s. He’s completely naked behind you and you have the sudden urge to taste him. As you spin around and get to your knees he stops you, “don’t interrupt my aftercare, please.”
“Your what?”
He grabs the soap and a fresh wash cloth and starts to work it to lather. “I told you, it’s my job to take care of you.” It’s too early to admit it to you, but aftercare is Joel’s favourite part. He’s grumpy and rough on the outside, but he loves the tender moments after playing with his subs. Especially you, and that’s something he won’t even admit to himself yet.
He runs the soft cloth over your arms and chest, using extra caution not to catch on your nipple piercings. I like these,” he says, eyes memorizing every inch of the skin he’s washing.
“Thanks, you’re actually the first person to see them.”
“That right?” He moves the cloth down your stomach before kneeling in front of you and washing your legs. “You know what I think you should pierce next?”
“I have an appointment next week for something,” you tease. It’s not a lie, you have an appointment to get a second hole in each earlobe, but may as well play with him a little.
“Oh? Don’t tease an old man like that, baby girl. What new surprise am I gonna find?” He brings the cloth up and down your other leg.
“What do you want to find?”
His hands grip your hips and he spins you around. You have a small bruise forming on your one ass cheek and his cock jumps at the sight. “Belly button,” he says.
“Oh?” You say with surprise as he stands behind you and scrubs your back. You turn to look at him over your shoulder and add, “I was thinking of doing my clit.”
Joel’s hands come to his heart as he moans. “Fuck me, baby girl. I’d have to leave the god damn continent until it healed.”
You laugh as he brings his lips to yours. You’re suddenly very aware of the fact that you aren’t wearing a collar. But he’s kissing you and washing your body. Does this mean that Joel Miller, your dad’s best friend, might have the same sort of feelings that you have? Or is this just what he does with his subs after dehydrating them with his fingers and tongue.
“Stay in the warm water while I change the sheets. I’ll be back,” you look over your shoulder to finally take in his naked body. His back is lined with corded muscle, water droplets filling the dips and grooves of his sculpted body. It looks like you could bounce your whole fucking bank account off his round ass.
Am I salivating. I feel like I’m salivating.
He wraps a white bath sheet around his waist before you get to see his front - as much as you loved being taken care of earlier you should have looked down. You run some shampoo and conditioner through your hair, rinsing it out just as Joel comes back, now in a pair of fitted boxer briefs. He holds up a towel for you, and after turning off the water you pad over to him for him to wrap you up and gently dry you off.
“Thank you, Mr Miller,” you say instinctively.
He smiles softly at you as he dries every inch of your skin. “Go lay down, babygirl. I’ll get some lotion and then you need to get some sleep.”
When you walk out to his bed there’s a t-shirt and a bottle of water on the pillow for you.
Fuck. I’m in love.

Don’t Drink- Bucky Barnes x Reader
Summary: Bucky comforts crying reader when Tony goes too far
Word count: 955
TW: discussions of alcoholism, self harm and neglectful family
Most of the night you had been lively, energetic and maybe even a little flirty with a certain brunette super soldier, but when that question came out of Tony’s mouth, in front of every one, you couldn’t help shrink into yourself.
You are by no means a shy person, I mean sometimes you can be closed off but you’re happy to talk to anyone, which is what you had been doing.
The typical Stark party was starting to wind down and you and your friends had found a couch and were happily talking. You sat sipping your lemonade, now Nat was no longer manning the bar, her amazing mocktails were off the menu. You were both listening and talking to your friends, and everything was going great. Until that damn question rung loud across your friends, and cutting you to the core.
“Well why doesn’t y/n drink?” Tony shouted drunkly, causing everyone to stop their conversations and stare between you and he.
The tension in the room suddenly became thick as some of your friends looked at you with worrying looks, and some glaring at Tony. You didn’t blame Tony, and if he’d just accepted the excuse you gave it would have been fine. He didn’t know about your dad or your family, only a few of the team did, but he didn’t have to push.
“I mean come on, it’s a party, we’re all drinking and having a good time, maybe a few drinks might loosen you up a bit. Maybe if you had a drink or two, you might even get lucky,” Tony winked at you.
This got people annoyed.
“Come on, Tony, that’s enough,” Steve said, both he and Rhodey trying to usher him away, while Natasha held your hand and Bucky looked at you with sweet eyes.
“Well why doesn’t she?” He shouted, refusing to leave and demanding an answer like a child.
This confrontation had flooded you with shame and embarrassment, but now as you stared into his stupid drunk eyes, all you felt was rage.
“Maybe because unlike you, I don’t want to turn into an asshole like my dad! Maybe because if I drink I might cut myself like my mum used to! Maybe I don’t drink because I don’t want to turn into a pathetic alcoholic like you or my shitty fucking dad!” You shouted back at the man, your skin hot, chest heaving and tears began to fill your eyes.
All humour had left Tony’s eyes at your confession and he hung his head in shame, while attempting a weak apology. Not wanting to hear it or hear the pity of your friends, you stormed off. It had been a lovely night, but of course, Tony had to ruin it.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?!” Natasha growled at Tony as your friends watched you storm away.
As Maria and Yelena came over to calm Nat, Bucky made his way for the door you left from.
It didn’t take long for him to find you, following the aching sounds of your crying. The sound of your upset hurt him, but as he saw you sitting on the corridor floor, his heart absolutely shattered.
“Oh, doll,” Bucky gently sighed as he bent down to be face to face with you.
Raising your head from your hands revealed a makeup stained face and blood shot eyes, the sight destroying Bucky even further.
Not wanting any pity from anyone, you tried to stand to leave, but Bucky was faster. He sat down on the floor and dragged you into his lap, holding you so you couldn’t leave and be alone with this feeling.
“I’m here, it’s okay,” he whispered sweetly against your hair, kissing your forehead as he gently rocked you in his arms.
With one hand on your thigh and the other around your arm, he held and rocked you until your heavy cries became light sniffles. Raising your head, you looked into his sweet blue eyes.
“I’m sorry, James, I-I shouldn’t have made such a scene like that,” you quietly apologised with a shaky and rough voice. You looked down to your lap in shame as you pull away from his chest.
The fact you thought you had to apologise for this cut Bucky to his very core, realising what not just HYDRA but your parents must have done to make you feel like such a burden.
“You have nothing to apologise for, sweetheart,” he gently comforted as he tucked pieces of hair behind your ear and he wiped some of the makeup from your face.
“Tony is a dick, and shouldn’t have pushed you like that. I’m honestly glad you told him off, and crying is nothing to be ashamed of,” he continued to comfort.
Holding your cheek in his hand, he stared lovingly into your eyes as he slowly leaned down. Your lips met in a gentle and sweet kiss, one full of comfort, but not pity, full of love and honest feelings.
As the sweet kiss parted, you couldn’t help the light smile that graced your lips.
“There’s my girl,” Bucky whispered sweetly to you.
“Your girl?” You asked hopefully, your smile widen and light returning to your eyes.
“My girl,” Bucky confirmed, “my girl who never has to apologise for her feelings and who I will hold and listen to whenever she needs.”
“Your girl, my James,” you smiled up at him, your hands now resting on his chest.
Hearing you say that you were his and he was yours, filled Buckys heart with so much love, he thought he might explode. A large toothy smile graced his gorgeous face, as he pressed you against his strong chest in a sweet embrace.

Shoko had called Gojo earlier to let him know you were coming home earlier than expected. So he had a feeling you’d be coming home drunk, but he wasn’t expecting this. He watches as Shoko struggles to get you out of the cab. You’re crying about something, but from where he’s standing, Gojo can’t hear what.
“Cmon y/n get out of the car,” Gojo hears Shoko say as she lightly tugs on your arm. “Don’t you want to see Gojo?” Shoko continues.
Gojo sees your head snap up at the sound of his name. He chuckles at how you stopped crying and looked up at Shoko. He sees you nod your head as you let Shoko help you out of the cab. You’re putting most of your weight onto Shoko as she helps you walk up the pathway to the front door. As soon as you're close enough to recognize Gojo standing in the doorway, you gasp and let go of Shoko to run towards him.
“Gojo!” you shout.
He rushes forward to catch you before you fall. Once you realize you're in his arms, you wrap into what Gojo can only describe as a bone-crushing hug. After catching his breath, he wraps his arms around you as well, only in a less bone crushing manner.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” He rubs your back as he asks you, realizing you had started crying again.
Before you have a chance to answer him, Shoko interrupts. “You happened. She wouldn’t shut up about you the entire night.”
“It’s not my fault I’m such a great boyfriend.”
“Yeah, okay,” she says, rolling her eyes. “But you owe me for tonight. I didn’t just spend my money to hear about you all night. I hear about you enough at work for free.”
“Alright, Alright, I know where to send it.” He laughs, readjusting his grip on you to help move you inside.
“Thanks for helping her get home!” He shouts to her before she gets back in the cab to go home. She just waves in response, giving them both a small smile.
“Bye Shoko!” you yell, finally speaking up, having just been enjoying the feeling of Gojo’s arms wrapped around you. She laughs and then gets in the cab to head home.
Gojo turns to help you walk inside, helping you take off your shoes once you were in the entryway. It seemed like by the time you made it to the bathroom; you were already half asleep with how limp your body was. Gojo sat you on the toilet seat and gently lifted your head so he could see your face. You weren’t asleep at all. Once he took a look at your face, he could see you smiling up at him.
“What’s got you so smiley?”
You hum for what seems like a minute before you finally answer him.
“I just missed you today,” you slur. “It feels like I haven’t seen you for like a million years.”
“You saw me just before you left with Shoko.” He laughs.
You shake your head back and forth in disagreement. “nuh uh it was a million years ago”
“Allright, if you say so,” he says as he goes to wet a rag to clean your face.
“mhm, I do say so.”
He doesn't speak again until he finishes wiping your face and it’s time to get you changed into your pajamas. To save him the hassle of helping you change in the bedroom, only for you to fall asleep as soon as he sets you down on the bed. He decides to bring your pajamas to where you’re already sat and awake.
He walks back in on you in the same spot he left you in, sitting on the toilet with your head tilted up. He knows you’ll be complaining of a sore neck tomorrow.
“Come on, it’s time to get changed.” He said, while lifting your shirt over your head.
“sir yes sir.” you say along with a sloppy salute, helping him by putting your arms in the sleeves of your pajama top.
Once on, he then helps you put on your pants. He’s glad he had you stay sitting for most of it because he could just imagine the amount of heart attacks he’d have while you drunkenly stand on one foot at a time. He takes your now clothed arms and wraps them around his neck to steady you as you both walk towards the bedroom.
“Time for bed now. We both have work tomorrow. Did you forget that while you were out with Shoko?” he said.
“I didn’t forget. I could never forget about my favorite students.”
“They’re your only students.”
“oh yeah.” you giggle.
He pulls the blankets up onto the bed before he helps you lie down on top of the sheets. Tucking you in once you get comfortable in your spot. He goes to walk over to his side of the bed when you hurriedly grab his wrist.
“wait where are you going? I haven’t seen you in a million years, remember?” you whine. And it takes all of Gojos’ willpower to not burst out in laughter. He gently takes your hand in his as he says,
“I’m just going to get in bed. Ill be right next to you.”
you pause.
“oh ok. but hurry!”
This time he does let out a small laugh as he makes a show of him jogging to the other side of the bed in the most hilarious way possible. Once he does, make in into bed, you're immediately tucking yourself in his arms. He makes a mental note to tell Yaga you won’t be coming in tomorrow because he knows how hungover you’ll be. He imagines this time around you’ll be in the same spot he left you in when he gets home.
“Goodnight. Love you.” he says
“I love you more”
“No, I love you more” he responds back deciding to entertain you.
“No way, I love you more” you say, dragging out the ‘no’.
“okay its time to sleep now.” he shushes you.
“But it’s true.” You mumble on the verge of sleep.
“we’ll agree to disagree, but you need to sleep now.”
He starts rubbing his hand along the length of your back to urge you to sleep. It only takes two minutes before you lightly snoring in his arms.

And It’s a Goddamn Tragedy
JJ Maybank x Routledge!Reader; John B. Routledge x Sister!Reader
Warning(s): guns, gunshot wound, blood, hospital. Angst.
Notes: Could be in the same universe as my Nightmares imagine but can be read on its own as it makes no references to that fic. Also I have never been shot, but I did do a little research on the feeling, however most of the reaction is purely fictional.
Summary: JJ and John B. know their lives are a tragedy, but goddamnit, why do you have to pay the price?
The gun let out a loud bang as it fired, everything falling into slow motion. Engulfing your senses with nothing but a high pitched ringing and the slow movement of the gun in Rafe’s hand.
You saw a sharp look of regret pass over Rafe’s features before being swallowed by seriousness again. And then you could feel something wet start to blossom on your t-shirt.
Your face paled as you turned to the pogues, feeling the heat rushing from your face, mouth open but no sound coming out.
You could see the horror in their eyes, see John B. and JJ’s mouths moving, but you couldn’t make out what they were saying. It was like there was cotton in your ears, and the ringing persisted, louder with every second.
You felt yourself start to become lightheaded, the world starting to become blurry.
Feeling sick, you dropped to your knees, everything still slow and disorienting until your body hit JJ’s.
“Hey, hey, Y/N, come on, stay awake," he said,
It was an overload on your head, everything rushing back to full speed quickly, and instead of pain, there was a burning, aggravating sensation in your stomach area, growing outward from where the bullet struck you. Intense and hot.
John B. was next to you in a second, holding your head with one hand and pressing his other against your wound. “Listen to JJ, Y/N, stay awake.”
You let out a loud cry, the burn overwhelming and tears swelling in your eyes.
Pope, Kiara, and Sarah stood above you, shouting incomprehensible things you couldn’t focus on.
“Hospital, John B, we’ve got to get her to a hospital!”
Hospital? Would you make it to a hospital?
Your brother peeled off his button up, wrapping it around your middle to try to stop the bleeding.
“Call 911!”
God, you couldn’t afford an ambulance. Just put you in the Twinkie and let you go. John B. would get over the blood stains. Like that thing had never been bled on before.
“Fuck it! JJ carry her to the van, I’ll drive.”
You felt your body move, being lifted into JJ’s arms. You looked up at his face, it was the only thing in focus. He looked worried, scared even.
“Hold on, Y/N, we’re gonna get you there. You’ll be okay," he said.
You smiled lightly. If you didn’t feel like passing out, you might’ve kissed him. That always calmed him down.
Pope threw open the door of the van, and JJ hopped in, sitting down and cradling you carefully in his arms.
Sarah was next to you then, pulling off her tank top and pressing it hard against your stomach.
You let out a cry and JJ looked like he was going to murder her.
“What are you doing!”
“Trying to put pressure on it! John B.’s shirt isn’t going to hold it enough.”
You groaned, not feeling up to arguing with anyone, just dropping your head into JJ’s shoulder and letting Sarah press against your wound.
Pope and Kiara jumped in last, barely getting the door shut before John B. was speeding down the road toward the hospital.
JJ kept whispering reassurances. You weren’t sure if they were for you or him. Maybe both.
You could hear the loud honking of horns as John B. tore through town.
Your eyes fluttered closed.
“No, no, no, Y/N, you have to stay awake. Open your eyes,” JJ urged.
You let out a soft whine. All you wanted was to sleep and let the pain go away.
“I know, baby, I know,” he whispered, pressing his forehead against yours. “We’re almost there, okay? Almost there.”
Before long, the vans door was being thrown open again and you were jolted around as JJ ran into the hospital, John B. close on his heels.
“Help! Help, she’s been shot!”
Your body was laid down on a gurney and the staff started rolling you away.
Your hand slipped out of JJ’s as a nurse stopped him from coming along. The pain and sorrow in his eyes were the last of him you saw.
“Y/N?” One of the nurses above you said. “Can you hear me?”
“Y-yes…” you said before your eyes closed, relieving you from enduring the pain any longer.
JJ watched with tears rolling down his cheeks as you were carted away from him.
“Why don’t you go get cleaned up. We’ll let you know what’s happening as it happens, okay?”
JJ nodded once, but didn’t take his eyes off of you until you passed through a set of doors and he couldn’t see you anymore.
He let himself look down at his body. His hands and shirt were covered in your blood and he felt sick to his stomach.
Pope gripped his shoulder, snapping him out of his daze and ushering him to a bathroom.
John B. and JJ entered the hospital restroom, walking to separate sinks and washing the blood off their hands.
JJ couldn’t quite fathom what happened yet. It started to settle in as he watched the water turn crimson.
He looked over at John B. who was doing the same as him, his stare harsh and unmoving as he washed his hands.
There was a swipe of blood on his cheek.
Suddenly, his best friend choked out a sob. He gripped the side of the sink and cried.
“I can’t lose her too.” John B. said through tears. “I can’t lose her too.”
JJ moved over to him, wrapping him in a hug that was quickly reciprocated.
“She’s gonna be okay, man,” he whispered into John B.’s shoulder. “She’s gotta be. She wouldn’t let punk ass Rafe be the one to do her in.”
John B. let out a watery laugh, squeezing him tighter.
Neither boy moved to break away from the hug, the both of them needing the comfort for a little longer.
“Why’s she always the one that gets hurt because we’re stupid?” John B. asked, quietly. “Why’s she gotta pay the price?”
“I don’t know...” JJ replied, just as quiet.
It was true that you always seemed to be the one getting hurt.
When JJ stole money from Barry, you were the one who got the shotgun pointed at your head. When John B. was spiraling from the loss of their dad, you were the one who picked up the pieces. When Topper almost drowned John B., you were the one who tackled Topper before JJ got the gun out.
You were the one left alone after John B. and Sarah got lost in the storm.
And now, you were the one that got shot with the bullet meant for John B.
Well, that’s what he assumed anyway. Why would Rafe want to shoot anyone but him?
“Hey, she’s out of surgery,” Pope said, opening the bathroom door where JJ and John B. were smoking a joint by the window.
“Fucking finally,” JJ said, putting the blunt out on the windowsill.
The doctor was talking with Kiara and Sarah when the boys approached.
“She’s stable. And lucky,” the doctor said. “We’ve got her on an IV and will prescribe her some pain medication once she’s discharged, but we’d like to keep her overnight.”
“I’ll stay with her,” John B. and JJ said at the same time.
The doctor chuckled. “I think there’s room for both of you, though you should think about shifts so you kids can leave to clean up and get some sleep.”
Both boys knew they wouldn’t be leaving her side all night.
“Someone will let you know when she’s awake.”
With that, the doctor left the group alone.
“You guys really should go shower and change,” Sarah said.
“Nah, no way I’m leaving,” JJ said. “What if she wakes up and I’m not here?”
“She probably won’t be up for a bit,” Pope said. “Most people wake up thirty minutes after the anesthesia.”
“Regardless, I’m not leaving.” John B. said. “This is my fault and I’m not leaving her again.”
“I never left her,” JJ said, crossing his arms.
“What the fuck’s that supposed to mean?” John B. replied, face contorting angrily.
"Hey!" Kiara said, getting in between the two. "Not the time nor the place. You can both stay if you're going to asses about it."
They let it go, backing off and biting their tongues.
"Keys." Kiara said, holding out her hand.
John B. reluctantly dropped them into her palm.
"We'll be back. Text us if she wakes up before then and don't fight."
Dropping into chairs on opposite sides of the waiting room, JJ and John B. watched as the others left and waited for any news.
John B. was doing anything he could to distract himself and was failing miserably.
Nothing on his phone could hold his thoughts and none of the magazines on the table were even worth looking at.
So, he looked at JJ.
JJ's knee was bouncing, nervous. He didn't even look at his phone to pass the time, just stared at a spot on the floor.
John B. thought back to when Sarah got shot and he thought he was going to lose her. That was pain like he'd never felt and he could see by JJ's seemingly emotionless expression that he was feeling that same feeling.
John B. loved his sister. Y/N was the only family he had left, and he'd be lost without her. But the pain of potentially losing someone you love so deeply and so romantically was different.
It was hard for him to wrap his head around at first. That his best friend and his sister were together.
But they were good for each other. They understood each other on a level he never could.
Sometimes, he thinks that makes him a bad friend, a bad brother. But when JJ looks at Y/N like she hangs the moon, he knows he’s just being silly. Because Y/N looks at JJ like she’s never looked at anyone.
Because they’re in love.
"Y/N Routledge?"
John B. and JJ jumped up immediately. "Yes?"
The nurse gestured for them to follow her, and they didn't hesitate.
JJ's heart pounded as they followed. He was almost impatient in his movements; like his feet weren't going fast enough.
He just wanted to see her. To know she was okay.
The nurse pushed open the door, entering the room first. "Y/N? You've got some visitors here."
And then there you are.
You look exhausted, eyes drooping, skin pale. There's an IV in your wrist, and a hospital gown had replaced your bloody clothes.
"Hey, guys," you said, voice scratchy.
"Oh, honey, let me get you some water," the nurse said, putting down her clipboard and leaving the room.
John B. got out his phone to text the other pogues while JJ went to your side immediately.
He sat on the bed next to you, taking your hand.
"Hey, baby," you said, softly, reaching up to run your fingers through his hair.
JJ relished in the contact, closing his eyes for a moment.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Tired," you replied. "But I'm okay."
John B. pocketed his phone and went to your other side. "Hey, butterfly."
You smiled at him. "Hey, birdie."
And suddenly, the tears are back. "I'm so- so sorry."
"Hey, it's not your fault," you said.
John B. didn't reply, just hugged you tightly.
"I'm okay, I'm okay," you whispered, hugging your brother with one hand, squeezing JJ's with the other.
The nurse came back in then and the boys seperate from you so she could give you the water.
"Just hit your call button if you need anything," she said with a smile.
"Thank you," you replied, nodding.
The door closed behind her and the tone in the room shifted slightly.
"I'm gonna make that asshole pay for this," JJ said, the sadness now replaced with anger.
"No, you're not," you say firmly. "If either of you land in jail again, don't think we're bailing you out."
JJ made a noise of protest, but you just glared at him and he shut up.
"We're moving past this, okay? It happened, it's over, I'm alive. We're not letting this lead to more trouble, alright?"
The boys just mumbled agreements, not entirely satisfied by your requirements, but understanding of them all the same.
You'd been through too much for them to break your heart again.
The other pogues came in not long after that, smuggling in your favorite chocolate bar and a change of clothes for both JJ and John B., who took turns showering in the hospital bathroom.
Kiara took the liberty of brushing your hair out and braiding it as much as its length would allow.
Sarah was the one who spoke with the doctor, getting insurance and payment figured out as well as what pain meds they were prescribing you.
Pope took to being a buffer between your boys, making sure they didn't spring into another argument or try anything stupid while you rested.
As if JJ would have moved from your bedside by anything except force.
John B., now knowing you were safe and alive, was more relaxed, speaking in low voices with Sarah about your condition.
The nurse was kind enough to allow them all to stay the rest of the day, but once visiting hours ended and the sun went down she had to ask them all to leave.
"Only relatives are allowed to stay overnight."
JJ deflated at this, squeezing your hand tightly.
"Can he stay?" You asked. "He's my husband."
A bold lie on your part, considering you were in a hospital.
"Fiance, she means," John B. chimed in.
The Routledge siblings in tandem as always.
The nurse seems skeptical but considering you'd just come out of surgery as a result of being shot, she cut you some slack.
"Sure. But just you two."
They thanked her repeatedly but she just waved a hand. "I'll be back in a moment to set you up for overnight."
You said a quick goodbye to the other pogues, getting a hug from each and a kiss on the cheek from Sarah.
"We'll be back in the morning with breakfast."
"Ooh, hashbrown patty?" you asked.
"I think we can swing that," Kiara replied with a smile. "See you tomorrow."
The nurse came back shortly after to change your IV and check your blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. She also brought you a warm blanket and helped you into a pair of pajamas after changing your bandages.
After that she left you a cup of water and the name of the nurse that would be taking over her shift.
And that was that.
JJ wasted no time climbing into bed with you after she was gone, allowing you to curl into him, careful not to brush your bandages.
John B. settled himself into a couple of chairs for the night and closed his eyes.
"You sure you're all right?" he heard JJ whisper.
"I'm good, J, I promise," you replied.
"JB and I kind of had a cry session about you, ya know."
"Really?"
"Yeah, cause we love you and shit."
You laughed quietly. "Well, I'm glad you weren't tearing each other apart again."
"We almost did, but Kie stopped us before we could get started."
"Good. I don't think either of you would've been allowed in here if you'd've brawled in the waiting room."
John B. smiled softly.
"You're probably right," JJ said.
John B. peaked an eye open. You and JJ were facing each other, lying down. You were playing with JJ's fingers, eyes fluttering as sleep threatened to overtake you once again.
"Sleep, pretty girl, it's okay," JJ said, adusting himself so that you could lean against his shoulder.
"Okay..."
John B. closed his eye again, allowing himself to find his own sleep.
Safety may not be their strong suit, but for what they lacked they made up for in love.
And nobody loved you more than JJ and John B.

LILIES & ROSES 2.0✩༶‧˚
GENRE + T/W: sfw, fluff. suggestiveness and mentions of sex. WORD COUNT: 4.1k words. TAGS: satoru gojo x fem!oc, dad!gojo, mom!oc. established couple.
SYNOPSIS: oc gojo girlfriend and satoru celebrate baby gojo's first valentine's day! AUTHOR'S NOTE: happy early valentine's day everyone! sorry i've been so mia. i hope this fic will make up for my absence. the first ‘lilies & roses’ fic was for oc gojo girlfriend’s mother’s day so make sure to read that. 💚 REMINDER: if you want to imagine yourself in oc gojo girlfriend's character descriptions instead, please do!
you and satoru woke up at exactly 5am to your five-month-old human alarm clock babbling in her snoo.
you felt slender, yet strong arms slide under your shirt to pull you closer, even if it was just for a moment. a quick, welcoming kiss by soft tender lips pressed onto your exposed shoulder blade.
“good morning, sweetheart.” satoru whispered into your ear, finally pulling away from you so he could start his morning routine with his daughter.
you turned to face him, half-awake eyes following each step from his side of the bed to your daughter’s bassinet across the room. you let out a tired sigh.
“there’s daddy’s big girl!” satoru said with a quiet, yet cheery voice. a gummy smile appeared on the face of your 5 month old baby girl. it was a smile that satoru never got tired of seeing.
he reached down to pick up sayuri, holding her close to his chest so that her head could rest on his shoulder. you saw her peeking at you. you shot a soft smile at her as her lips trembled. she wanted mommy right now. and where the hell was her milk?
before sayuri could even let out a cry for you, satoru quickly left the master bedroom and shut the door behind him. this was the start of his morning routine, bonding time with his daughter that he always looked forward to.
and so, you shut your eyes for a couple more minutes before satoru and sayuri would come back with their special delivery, your morning coffee. (read ‘morning routine 2.0’ here)
**********************
“okay, yurs—here’s the game plan,” satoru said to his baby girl, “today is something called valentine’s day. usually mommy and daddy go out on a date and then participate in love-making-physical-activities at night, but since we have you this year, i think we should change it up a little.”
sayuri drooled on satoru’s shoulder, unsure of what her father was babbling on about. she pursed her lips and continued to drool.
“we need to stop by the flower shop first so we can get her a nice big bouquet of ros—i mean lilies. those are your mommy’s favorite flower you know. did you know you’re named after them?” (read 'hello baby' here)
sayuri. sayuri meant ‘small lily’ in japanese. it was the perfect name for your perfect baby girl.
satoru continued on with explaining his plan to his partner in crime, “then—i was thinking that while you take your afternoon nap, i can cook a late lunch for mommy. i haven’t done that for her in a long time.”
satoru stirred sweet creamer into your cup of coffee and smiled. he felt as if his plan was going to be perfect—another successful valentine’s day for satoru gojo in the books.
as he imagined how the day would progress, he warmed up a packet of your stored breast milk for sayuri before she started to fuss. but sayuri gojo was no fool, she knew she was going to be fed in a few moments so she decided to give grace to her trying father. she decided that she’d throw a tantrum later.
**********************
“what do you mean you’re taking sayuri out by yourself?” you frowned after taking a sip of your morning coffee. you had hoped to spend some time with your little family today—it was valentine’s day after all.
last year, you told satoru that you didn’t want to do anything extravagant because you were still in the early stages of your pregnancy. you were nauseas and tired during your first trimester. knowing him, he would have already had a trip to somewhere tropical planned if you hadn’t told him that you wanted to stay home.
satoru mischievously grinned, rubbing salt into your wound, “we are going to have a daddy-daughter date for valentine’s day.”
“what if i wanted to have a mommy-daughter date?” you pouted back at your baby daddy, “it’s our baby girl’s first valentine’s day, can’t we spend it together?”
an imaginary lightbulb lit up above satoru’s head. he did need time to cook for you without you being in the apartment, so maybe you could take sayuri during that time.
“how about you take sayuri out for a couple hours?” satoru suggested, “we’ll be home by 2pm.”
“—but 2pm is her nap time, satoru.”
‘of course you wouldn’t forget about her nap time.’ satoru thought to himself. he shifted his milk-drunk daughter in his arms so he could face you.
“okay, how about this, sweetheart—i’ll take yurs and be home by noon. she can take an early nap, and then you can have her at 3pm. i have an appointment from 3pm-5pm anyways.”
satoru may have lied about having an appointment, but he needed to have an excuse not to be with you and sayuri so he could prepare for your valentine’s day surprise.
“can we celebrate after your appointment?” you asked eagerly. your daughter’s first valentine’s day was important to you. not only was it sayuri’s first, it was yours and satoru’s first as parents.
“of course, sweetheart.” satoru said as he leaned in for a kiss on your forehead, a sneaky grin plastering his face, “we have a tradition to uphold.”
“if sex is the tradition you’re talking about, i swear to—”
a whimpering cry interrupted your empty threat to satoru. sayuri was still hungry. she started to wail as if she was screaming, ‘more food, please!’
“—and that’s my queue to leave,” satoru said as he handed off sayuri to you. he quickly jumped out of the bed to make sayuri another bottle.
you shook your head and chuckled.
“your daddy is so silly,” you looked down at satoru gojo’s mini-me. everything you loved about satoru reflected back at you in your daughter. her slender nose, soft pink lips, and her thin white eyebrows. you had the most perfect child. of course you did, she was satoru gojo’s copy and paste.
“so baby girl—i was thinking that while we go on our mommy-daughter date, we can go see grandpa kiku and grandma fuku. daddy would be devastated if we didn’t get him anything for valentine’s day.”
sayuri looked up at you as you patted her back gently. she felt content being in your arms. it gave her comfort and soothed away any fears she may have had, just like daddy’s—and it was the exact same feelings that satoru felt whenever he was in your arms.
“then we can come back home and spend the night with daddy!” you said excitedly with a giggle, “you have to protect mommy from daddy tonight, okay?”
sayuri gojo wouldn’t understand your joke, but you knew what satoru gojo’s intentions were on a day like valentine’s day.
later that morning
“your mom must be loving the fact that she can sleep in today,” satoru chuckled to his daughter as he opened the glass door to the flower shop.
satoru, you, megumi, and tsumiki have been going to this flower shop ever since you moved to the apartment. at first, it was just convenient for satoru. satoru always bought you flowers whenever he upset you or whenever he wanted to surprise you with them just to see you smile. and now, after years of giving the flower shop owner business, you were regulars—to the point where the owner, mrs. itose, had a customized bouquet on hand made just for you whenever satoru or the kids needed it.
“good morning, satoru! good morning, miss sayuri!” the flower shop owner greeted the father-daughter duo.
satoru smiled, presenting his baby girl, “say hi to grandma itose!”
grandma itose had been around for the growth of yours and satoru’s relationship. she was like family. when you gave birth to sayuri, she sent the world’s most beautiful bouquet of lilies you had ever seen. mrs. itose placed her bets that baby gojo was going to be a girl and because of that, she was one of the first people to know sayuri’s name.
“i’m guessing you’re here for valentine’s day?” the shop owner smiled as she continued to wrap rose bouquets to sell for the day. it was a busy day for mrs. itose.
satoru scratched the back of his head and grinned, “that obvious?”
“don’t you worry, satoru. i have (y/n)’s bouquet ready for you.” mrs. itose said with a smug, yet confident grin. she wiped off her hands on a towel and walked to the back of the shop, disappearing for a moment.
satoru watched sayuri as her small, curious eyes scanned the store. her eyes were always full of wonder. she gave a gummy smile to the shop owner who smiled back at her while holding your large bouquet of lilies and roses and a smaller bouquet of lilies alongside it.
“what’s that small bouquet for?” satoru asked, knowing he didn’t order a small bouquet.
mrs. itose smacked satoru’s shoulder, “not only do you have (y/n) to buy flowers for, but you have to buy them for your daughter too!”
satoru’s heart sank. he felt guilty that he didn’t even think about buying his mini-me, his adorable little girl, a bouquet for valentine’s day. he now had two girls in his life to think about.
“i didn’t even think about that before we had sayuri.” he sheepishly admitted, giving sayuri an apologetic kiss to her chubby cheek.
“being a girl dad will make you realize a lot of things.” mrs. itose teased, “a reflection of how you treat (y/n) is a guideline to how sayuri will expect to be treated by her significant other when she grows up.”
the thought of sayuri growing up, dating, and eventually getting married gave satoru the chills. he didn’t even want to think about it. all he knew was that whoever his daughter ended up loving, they better love her the way he loved you.
“grandma itose, thank you for teaching me how to be a good dad. and you’ve always helped me be a good partner to (y/n).” satoru said with appreciation. mrs. itose was always a listening ear when he would pick up flowers after an argument.
the shop owner smiled warmly at satoru and sayuri, “have a happy valentine’s day, you two.”
satoru held the two bouquets up with his cursed technique and paid the shop owner double the amount of what the flowers actually costed. he made sure to leave before mrs. itose could say anything.
“say bye to grandma itose, yurs.” satoru sang as he held sayuri’s arm to wave goodbye.
next year, he would make sure to remember to order flowers for his precious little lily too.
later that afternoon
“i bet your daddy wishes he could be here with us.” you sang smugly as you pushed sayuri’s nuna stroller down the familiar streets of tokyo. “he loves seeing grandpa kiku and grandma fuku.”
sayuri was bundled up warmly in her swaddle, enjoying the stroller ride. her view was a beautiful you. your long black hair flowed behind you in the wind, green eyes sparkling as you looked on ahead. sayuri looked at you just like satoru did. with awe.
“i’m sorry you had to change your nap time today.” you apologized, “mommy couldn’t help it. she wanted to spend time with you too.”
you weren’t mad at the fact that satoru and sayuri always got to spend time together, in fact, you loved that they had a bond. it was more of the thought that one day, your baby girl wouldn’t need her mother anymore.
you made your way to the kikufuku stand that you and satoru had been visiting since you were high schoolers. the stall owners recognized you immediately and rushed towards you.
grandma fuku called out your names excitedly, “(y/n)! sayuri!”
“hi mrs. fuku.” you laughed, knowing exactly what she wanted. you picked up sayuri and placed her in grandma fuku’s arms as she cooed at your baby.
grandpa kiku and grandma fuku were family, just like grandma itose. you remembered the moment when your belly started showing during your pregnancy. you wanted to surprise and visit grandma fuku to see if she would notice. grandma fuku was so excited when she realized you were pregnant, she wanted to close to shop immediately so she could sit down and talk to you about motherhood. that day, even grandpa kiku ended up giving satoru a lecture on how to be a good husband and that being a dad changes your entire life.
you were grateful for the kikufuku stand couple. they had been there for you and satoru when you were both in high school. their kikufuku stand was where you and satoru had your first date, and many more dates after that. they had become important parts of your lives and you hoped that they would be in your daughter’s too. (read 'love at first fight' here)
“grandpa kiku packed up all of satoru’s favorites.” grandma fuku said with a smile as she held sayuri in her arms. your baby enjoyed being held by anyone—she was a friendly baby, just like her friendly father.
grandpa kiku called out with a grin, “we figured one of you two would be here to pick these up.”
he held out a pink box of kikufuku towards you, all in satoru’s favorite flavors. you placed them in sayuri’s stroller and quickly paid the shop owners a generous amount of money, far more than what the sweet treat was actually worth. it was the least you could do for them after all these years of satoru terrorizing their kikufuku stand.
a visit to the kikufuku shop with sayuri always lasted longer than expected. they always wanted to hold her and talk about how she was doing. in a blink of an eye, an hour had already passed. you had to meet satoru back at home.
“on our next day off, satoru and i will bring sayuri.” you promised as you placed sayuri back into her stroller.
“that would be great! happy valentine’s day, (y/n) and sayuri! tell satoru we said hi!” the shop owners called out to you.
you gave them a bright smile and waved back, “we will! happy valentine’s day! don’t work too hard!”
“make sure to have lots of babies for me!” grandma fuku made sure to add.
you laughed at her request. you were pretty sure satoru’s sobo and your grandma wanted the same thing too. but for now, you and satoru wanted to enjoy the time you had with your little accident, sayuri.
at the gojo/(l/n) apartment
on your way home, a burning smell wafted through the apartment hallways, worrying you.
“is your father already home?” you asked your daughter as if she could answer you. you already knew it was satoru, you could sense his cursed energy residuals.
you typed in the code to the pin pad lock and pushed sayuri’s stroller in. the burning smell was coming from your kitchen.
“babe, are you okay…?” you called out.
“goddamn it—oh hi sweetheart!” satoru turned around attempting to mask his apparent frustration, he sucked on his thumb that he burned while attempting to grab something from the oven.
“did you burn yourself?”
“yes…” he mumbled, “can you come kiss it better?”
you laughed at how much of a baby the strongest sorcerer could be.
“let me grab sayuri, run it under cold water first.”
while you picked up sayuri from her stroller, satoru obediently ran his thumb under the kitchen faucet, the icy cold water soothing his burn.
you approached him from behind with sayuri attached to your hip, rubbing his back in soothing circles.
“you okay, babe?” you attempted to stifle a laugh.
satoru pouted and answered dramatically, “no, i might just die right now, it hurts so bad.” as a jujutsu sorcerer, you were pretty sure he’s felt worse than a simple cooking burn.
“hold her,” you demanded while you handed your daughter off to her father, “give me your hand.”
he quickly put his hand in yours. the red spot on his thumb was starting to blister. you focused your reversed cursed technique onto his burn, water appearing from the air to cover the spot on his thumb. when you released your technique, it was as if the burn never happened.
sayuri blinked in awe as she watched you and satoru. sayuri gojo was born with cursed energy, but you and satoru didn’t know what her innate cursed technique was yet. was it limitless from the gojo clan? or was it an elemental technique from your clan?
“you’re such a baby, satoru.” you teased, “you can use reversed cursed energy yourself but for some reason, you always come to me to heal you.”
“guilty as charged.” satoru grinned before pulling you in for a kiss, “i’ll always be your baby.”
you pulled away from him, biting your lip with a seductive grin. curious sayuri leaned towards the kitchen, grabbing your attention. you turned to stare at the oven, “so what happened to my kitchen?”
“i tried to make us dinner but i forgot about the food in the oven while i was cleaning and decorating.” satoru said, face palming his forehead.
you turned to look at the decorations satoru was talking about. a large bouquet of lilies and roses and a smaller one sat on the glass dining table, rose petals decorated the floor with candles lit all around the kitchen and living room area. it reminded you of your 25th birthday. (read ‘forget me not’ here)
you blinked twice. you didn’t even notice how clean the apartment was or all the valentine’s day decorations that satoru put up when you first came through the door. the burning smell must’ve distracted you.
you walked over to the patio door to open it, airing out the burnt smell and smoke. as you made your way back to satoru, he sunk into the couch, white cushions engulfing him, sayuri sitting on his chest. she gently patted his chest as if she was consoling him.
“what’s wrong?” you asked with concern.
satoru crest-fallen, mumbled, “i had the perfect valentine’s day planned out for us, but i burnt our dinner.”
“the only thing that matters is that our apartment isn’t burnt down.” you giggled.
“but sweetheart, i wanted today to be perfect.”
“it’s already perfect,” you smiled at him and then at your daughter, “i have my perfect man, my perfect baby, and you got me flowers. what more could i ask for?”
“a perfect dinner?” satoru added sarcastically.
you shot a glare at him before grabbing his chin with your hand, positioning his face to look straight at you.
“what were you cooking anyways?”
“a prime rib roast.”
you really would’ve enjoyed that prime rib roast today, but you had to save satoru’s pride. satoru gojo couldn’t be perfect at everything.
“it’s fine, who cares about a roast!” you bluffed while letting go of his chin, “how about we get take out from sushi go?”
“not splendid sushi?” satoru asked, knowing that you liked splendid sushi, while his favorite was sushi go.
“no, we can get sushi go tonight.” you said with a smile in hopes that it would make satoru feel better, “and before i forget, sayuri and i got you something for valentine’s day.”
sayuri babbled while attempting to eat the buttons of satoru’s dress shirt. she reached for satoru face as he playfully nipped at her stubby fingers with his mouth.
you made your way back to the couch with satoru's box of kikufuku. a smile crept back on his face. he couldn’t stay mad if a box of his favorite sweets were being presented to him by an extremely captivating and beautiful woman.
“my girls went to see grandpa kiku and grandma fuku without me?” he teased, squeezing and poking at sayuri’s chubby cheeks.
“mhmm.” you laughed, “we had to make sure we didn’t forget about daddy on our mommy-daughter date.”
“speaking of forgetting… you know what mrs. itose said to me today?”
you tilted your head to the side, waiting for him to continue on with his story.
“she said whenever i buy flowers for you, i should buy some for yurs too. she mentioned that how i treat you is gonna be a guideline on how sayuri is going to expect to be treated from her significant other when she grows up.”
“well, mr. satoru gojo, it’s a good thing you take very good care of me and treat me very well.” you smiled back at him, eyes full of adoration for the love of your life—and the father of your child.
satoru added, “—and don’t forget i love you very much.”
you snuck a kiss on satoru's cheek, “i love you too, babe.”
you looked back at the flowers sitting on the dining table. mrs. itose’s work was beautiful. you have never received a subpar bouquet from her and satoru. you spotted sayuri’s baby bouquet, noticing hers exclusively had lilies.
“i like how baby girl gets a bouquet of just lilies but mine still have roses in there even though you know lilies are my favorite flower.” (read ‘lilies & roses’ here)
“it’s an inside joke for us now. it’d be weird if you didn’t have roses in your bouquet.” satoru chuckled as sayuri laid on his chest, looking up at you. you admired the sweet sight, your child and your lover both looking back at you with the same eyes you loved so much.
“so how about that take out order?” satoru asked with his fingers on the speed dial for sushi go.
“don’t forget my salmon nigiri!”
EXTRA:
“i’m exhausted,” satoru huffed as he laid down on his side of the bed, his arm covering his eyes and forehead.
he had spent the last two hours cleaning the oven from the failed prime rib dinner while you and sayuri went through her night routine. (read ‘grateful for you’ here)
“too tired for your love-making activities?” you asked curiously, wondering if the baby blue lingerie set you wore under your robe tonight was going to go to waste.
“for once in my life, i think i am.” satoru sighed.
you pouted, “that’s a shame. i bought the cutest lingerie set just for you. it has a garter and everything!”
satoru sat up, interested in what you had to say. “well, when you put it that way… how about you show me? is it see through? is it edible? does it have ease of access?”
you giggled at his silly questions. he pulled you into his lap as he starting to unravel your robe, tracing kisses along your collarbone, the sensation tickling you.
you sensed a familiar cursed energy waver. immediately, you put your hands on satoru’s chest, stopping him from his ministrations.
“what is it?” he asked impatiently as he bit at your hands.
you furrowed your eyebrows, “you don’t sense it? she’s gonna cry, daddy.”
satoru was hoping in all honestly that sayuri would self soothe and fall back asleep on her own.
you heard sayuri whimpering. her whimpering turned into a full on cry, your motherly instincts were spot on.
“oh come on, yurs…” satoru groaned.
“maybe next friday we can get a hotel room.” you laughed, knowing that megumi would be home for the weekend to babysit. (read ‘date night vs. babysitting night’ here)
you wrapped your robe around yourself again and stepped out of bed to comfort your crying baby. you carried your fussing daughter to the king sized bed that you and satoru shared, placing her right in the middle between you and the white haired sorcerer.
“you can sleep with mommy and daddy tonight.” you said softly as you patted sayuri gently, coaxing her to fall asleep again.
“nice one, yurs,” satoru chuckled. he noticed sayuri had stopped crying and fell right back asleep as soon as she laid in the bed with the two of you. “saving your innocent mommy from your monstrous daddy, huh?”
you laughed, remembering how you had asked sayuri to protect you from satoru earlier. satoru turned to face you and sayuri. the both of you watched as she breathed in and out, her tiny body relaxing and sleeping so peacefully in the presence of the two of you. your heart swelled watching her, she was the best thing to ever happen to you and satoru.
“happy valentine’s day, sayuri and mommy.” satoru whispered across his sleeping daughter.
you looked down at your baby girl before smiling back at satoru, “happy valentine’s day, sayuri and daddy.”

Could you please do a part 2 of when the jjk men make you scared??
Like how they apologise and all
HE MAKES UP WITH YOU - pt 1
⤷ includes: gojo, geto; nanami, sukuna
a/n: I actually finished this also f!reader with sukuna but the rest are gn!reader
GOJO SATORU:
you let out a shaky breath as you snuggle deeper into shoko’s embrace. she comforts you, “it will be okay, I promise.”
“that asshole better come and apologize or I am so going to make him pay,” she grumbles while rubbing soothing circles on your back.
the bell rings and your body tenses up, “shoko, tell him to go away.”
“y/n, you guys need to talk it out,” she sighs, “but if you really don’t want to talk to him now then tell me.”
you sit up and shake your head. you rub your eyes and take a deep breath, “you can let him in if you want.”
she nods and heads to open the door. she is met with gojo, who must’ve been crying for a while because of the way his eyes are puffy.
“you better solve this, gojo,” she says, lightly elbowing him, and he just nods.
he walks in and sees you, “…y/n?”
you don’t turn to look at him, instead holding your hands tightly and looking at the ground. he cautiously makes his way to you and kneels down.
he slowly places his hand on top of your own and lets out a small sigh of relief when you don’t pull away. he starts rubbing your hand with his thumb, “I am sorry about what I did.”
you hum and he continues, “I shouldn’t have reacted that way and shouldn’t have dismissed everything you’ve done.”
“your work is just as important to you as mine is and I shouldn’t belittle you nor what you do,” he shakily says and rests his forehead on your knee.
you pull your hand away gently and gojo looks at you, eyes wide and full of worry. he seems a few moments away from crying once again, but he closes his eyes, the moment your hand makes contact with his hair.
you scratch his scalp and play with his hair, “satoru.”
“yeah?”
“please, try your best not to lash out on me like that,” your other hand rubs his cheek, “I am your equal not an outlet for you.”
he nods, and you hear a sniffle.
“I understand what you’re doing is really time consuming, but can we maybe have a day for ourselves every couple of weeks or so?” you ask softly, voice filled with hope.
he nods once again and snuggles into your stomach as he wraps his arms around you.
“y/n.”
you hum and he presses a kiss to your stomach, “I love you so much.”
“me too,” you press a kiss as well to his head.
“can you guys take this to your house?” shoko complains, lighting up a cigarette, “my house is not a studio for romance movies.”
NANAMI KENTO:
you’ve lost track of how many hours you’ve been crying alone. you didn’t move from the living room, just to be close to the main door so you can hear and see your husband enter safely.
but is he even coming back? you hoped he would. the way you shielded yourself from him was merely a reflex; you never once thought nanami would hit you and you know that he never will.
but would he know that? he can’t do anything except believe his eyes. all you can do is wait for him to come back and explain to him what happened.
your head snaps at the sounds of key’s jiggling. the door soon opens to reveal your husband in all his glory; once his gaze lands on you, his eyes widen in shock, “y/n? what are you doing on the ground?—“
you scramble out of your place and throw yourself on him and wrap your arms around him tightly, “I am sorry! I am so sorry!”
his arms instantly wrap themselves around you as you sob violently into his shirt, “I didn’t mean to, I swear! I-I know you would never hit me! please don’t be mad at me!”
he pets your hair, “sweetheart, I was never mad,” he places his hands under your thighs and picks you up while you naturally wrap your arms around his neck tighter.
“t-then? why did you leave?” you sniffle.
he sighs and presses a chaste kiss to your neck, I was disappointed in myself that I made you react like that and I wanted to give both of us time to calm down.”
“I am sorry for the distress I caused you,” he murmurs pressing another kiss to your shoulder.
you stay in his embrace for a while before you speak up, “…you can let me down if you want.”
he shakes his head, “I want to hold you for a bit.”
you laugh lightly, “we can do that on the bed, you know,” a smile graces your lips, “like cuddle and stuff.”
you feel him smile into your shoulder before nodding. he walks towards your bedroom and gently places you on the bed; he lays beside you and pulls you to his chest.
he strokes your cheek, “your beauty is out of this world.”
“aw, you only love me for my body?” you pout and he rolls his eyes.
“I love you for everything that makes you you.”
“that’s a bit cheesy, is it not?” you giggle and he smiles.
he sighs in content, “I guess it is.”
GETO SUGURU:
you’re still in his arms, violently shaking and the tears never stop rolling down your face. you feel a wet batch on your shoulder and realize that your husband is crying as well.
“love, y-you know I would never hurt you, right?” he lifts your face to face his own, “r-right?”
he bites back a sob before he rests his forehead on your shoulder. he intertwines your hands together, before pleading softly “p-please don’t leave me.”
you did not move an inch since he held your face, it’s like talking to a living corpse.
“y-y/n, please answer me.”
“sugu-ru,” your voice is hoarse and he pulls back at the sound of your voice.
“ye-yes?”
“I am scared,” you admit, “really scared.”
he is hurt, you can tell, but you’re so terrified. this is the man you vowed to spend the rest of your life with, and you can’t just live with someone you consider a monster.
his hand reaches for your cheek but you pull back slightly and his hand instantly goes back to his side. he is looking at the ground, his tears never stopped either, “i would never hurt you.”
“it’s not o-only about me,” you breathe in, “do you know how scarring it is to see your gentle husband torturing someone that way? can you imagine how I feel?”
he shakes his head, “if you really want to divorce me, then so be it,” he rubs his eyes, “I don’t want you to be unhappy and always on edge by my side.”
he takes a deep breath before standing up and giving you his back, “you can decide to do whatever you want; I will be waiting for your decision.”
“just know,” he looks back at you with a sad smile, “my arms are always open for you.”
geto starts walking towards his house once again with a heavy heart. oh how he hopes you will come back to him and smile like you used to. but is that even possible?
his eyes widen at the arms that gently wrap themselves around him. he feels you squeeze him lightly before you speak up softly, “I am willing to t-try.”
he hears you sniffle and a small smile appears on his face before his tears start falling down his face once again, “can I turn and hug you?”
you nod and quickly he turns and engulfs you, burying his face in your shoulder, “thank you, thank you for giving me another chance!”
you nod lightly and snuggle into his embrace.
first and foremost, this was your husband and there was no denying that you loved him. perhaps there was a way for the both of you to continue loving each other like you used to.
RYOMEN SUKUNA:
your knees weaken as you fall to the ground and brace yourself for the pain but it never comes. instead, you are completely fine.
“open your eyes,” you hear the king grumble.
you quickly do as told, you don’t even notice the tears on your face until he wipes them, “stop crying; don’t you remember what I said?”
you are shaking lightly so he takes your arms and pulls you lightly to your feet, steadying you.
he sighs, “you dumb girl, I said you were my favorite one; I wouldn’t just kill you like that.”
“t-thank you for your mercy, my lord!” you bow sharply and he simply straightens your back.
“calm down,” he holds your hand and pulls you back towards the palace.
for a while, the both of you walk in silence, “all of that for a couple of flowers?”
you nod shyly, “I like flowers a lot; they are my favorite thing in the world,” a fond smile is on your face at the end.
sukuna gives you a side-glance, “I am not your favorite?”
“you are my favorite person, my lord! I can never consider you a thing!” you splutter.
he keeps looking at you in silence before nodding and smirking, “good answer.”
soon, you are in his royal chamber. you bow down, “I must excuse myself now, my lord.”
he raises his eyebrow, “and that’s why?”
“I c-can’t possibly enter your room!”
he rolls his eyes, “I want you to spend the night with me.”
“but shouldn’t I get cleaned up first and—“
he pulls you inside, swiftly closing the door, “we are not going to do anything; you’re only going to sleep by my side tonight.”
you are speechless as you watch him get into bed.
“are you coming or not?”
you clumsily make your way to his bed and sit down beside him. he grumbles, “lay down.”
you do as told and now you’re laying face to face with the king of curses.
he wraps an arm around you and pulls you to his chest, “sleep.”
you nod, but sleep is far from coming to you.
instead, you lightly trace hearts on his chest, and silently hope that he doesn’t feel anything.
meanwhile, his cheeks are a light rosy red as he realizes what you’re tracing.

Content warning: mentioned vomiting.
A man is standing by the door of your apartment.
You take a few steps down the stairs to hide because he seems suspicious. He's dressed in all black with the hoodie pulled over his head, casting a dark shadow over his face and making it hard for you to identify him.
If that was someone you know, he would call you and let you know that he's outside your apartment. To add to your suspicion, he starts pacing back and forth by the door of your apartment.
You duck to get out of his sight and you shouldn't be afraid because you are in your apartment building, he's trespassing, and you have the rights to send him away.
As a precaution, you rummage inside your bag for your keys and tuck one between your fingers as a weapon. It's not the best form of self-defense but just in case it's not working, all you have to do is scream loud enough for your neighbors to hear you.
You take cautious steps up the stairs and approach the mysterious man who has his back facing you. You swallow air as your heart starts beating so fast that you feel like having a cardiac arrest.
The sound of his phone ringing interrupted the suspenseful moment and the man picks it up immediately, "Yeah, I don't think she's home. Do you..."
Wait, you know this voice but you can't pinpoint who it belongs to. It's like listening to an old song and trying to guess who sang it.
The hand that is raised and ready to attack slowly drops to your side as you rake your brain and try to remember.
The man suddenly turns around and in reflex, your hand raises to attack him again to only abruptly stop once you see his face.
"Whoa! Whoa! Calm down!" He says with his hands up.
Then you recognize the freckles, the small mouth, the nose, and his deep voice that you finally remember who it belongs to.
"Felix?" You ask in disbelief.
"Yeah, it's me!" He says with his hands still raised and a horrified look on his face.
You miss him so much your eyes teared up that you finally get to see him in the flesh.
"Were you about to punch me?" He asks, eyeing the key between your knuckles.
You cry-laughing in response, "And I'm still going to punch you," you say.
You proceed with your plan, playfully punching him in the chest, "You said you would never forget me when you become famous," you say between your exhausted grunts.
You gently push him away, sending him staggering backward, "you lied to me," you say with your index finger pointed right at him.
He laughs and walks up to you again, "Hey, come on! That's why I'm here," he says, opening his arms to welcome you to hug him.
It's useless to try to act upset when you're immensely happy to see him again, the frown on your face gradually turns into a smile.
"I miss you," he says, being the one to hug you first.
You cave in almost instantly and hug him back, letting the memories from the teen years you spent together flood your head like a fast-paced montage. You hug him as someone who misses her best friend would, tightly and warmly. What is there left to do than letting him know it with words?
"I miss you," you say back, saying it makes it real that you feel a sting in your heart.
-
"How did you know where I live?"
You take two cans of beer out of the fridge and push the fridge door close with your hips.
Felix is looking at the wall covered with photographs you took from your years of studying photography abroad.
"Your mom told my mom and my mom told me," he walks to the sofa to sit next to you, taking one of the beer cans from you.
"Thanks," he mutters, doesn't waste a second to open it.
You also take a long gulp, unexpectedly thirsty from experiencing a short adrenaline rush earlier.
"Oh, my God! I forgot that our moms are friends," you say.
You and Felix were neighbors thus explaining how the decade-long friendship formed since you were in middle school.
"Unlike us," you jokingly add.
While you had to leave to study abroad, Felix stayed and pursued his dream to study music which marked the part of your lives branched out, growing apart from each other.
"Here we are now," he says and clinks his can of beer with yours.
You smile and take a small sip.
"So, you're a photographer now?" he puts down his drink and leans back with his arms outstretched on the headrest of the sofa.
"Yep!"
"And how is it going?" He turns his head at you with his hand playing with the end of your hair.
"It's great! I got fully booked until the end of the year," you answer with a sly grin.
"That's incredible!" He sincerely praises.
"Yes, it is!" You take another sip of beer, then burst into laughter.
"Except that I'm lying," you sadly add as the laughter turns into a grim look.
Felix doesn't say anything but put his arm around you, lets you rest your head on his shoulder, and endearingly pats your shoulder to comfort you.
"I'm glad that we're reconnecting cause now I know I can borrow some money from you," you say with a heavy sigh.
He nudges your shoulder with his, "I'm sure it's not that bad," he says.
"It is that bad. I'm barely booked for a job," you admit how pathetic you are to a friend you haven't seen in years but it's relieving to have someone you can openly tell your worries to.
His arm draws you closer so he can plant a kiss on top of your head, "just give it some time," he says.
It's the one thing that doesn't change in him: a man of physical affection. As someone who knows him for years, you don't mind him entering your personal space because that's just how he shows his affection, it's through physical touches. As he brushed your hair with his fingers, you feel nothing but comfort.
"Are you busy tomorrow?" He asks.
"It's the perks of being a freelance photographer, you have a flexible working time which technically means that I'm jobless so yeah, I'm not busy at all," you ramble as you catch his hand and clasped it with his.
"How about we have fun and have some good music tomorrow night?"
You get what he meant when he said 'tomorrow night', his band is having a concert and you need the distraction from this adulting thing.
You turn your head to look at him, "I would love that."
He smiles while looking down at you, "I'll have someone pick you up tomorrow afternoon," he says.
You tilt your head up, "Doesn't it starts at seven?"
"You don't want to join us for the soundcheck?" He asks back.
You grin at the thought of being exclusively invited to it, "can I bring my camera?"
He thinks for a moment, "I think so, yeah," he doubtfully answers.
His phone has been vibrating inside his jeans pocket but he keeps ignoring it. You leer at him, "It's okay if you have to go," you tell him.
He takes his arm away and pulls his phone out to reject the call, "It's my manager. We have tons of interviews to do tomorrow before the show so..." he sucks air through his teeth instead of finishing his sentence.
You get it that he feels bad for not having time to catch up on a lot of things with you yet he has responsibilities to do on behalf of his job.
"Then go!" You simply tell him.
He squints his eyes at you, "Are you kicking me out?"
"Yes," you take his jacket from the armrest of the sofa and toss it at him.
As much as you wanted to catch up with him, you can't be selfishly holding him from fulfilling his duty. Moreover, he needs the rest.
It's close to midnight and the street is almost empty, it's a good thing, there's a thin chance of people recognizing him.
"You wanted to punch me earlier and now I got kicked out of your apartment," he mumbles as he pushes the door to get out of your apartment building.
"Goodness, Felix!" You sigh and it feels weird calling his name again after a long time.
You hail a cab from across the street for him and the other hand holding his, "We'll meet again tomorrow, remember?" you remind him.
The taxi stops on the side of the road and you open the door for him.
Felix puts his arms around you, pulling you into a hug, "I'm so happy to see you again," he says with a breath of relief.
Knowing that the feeling is mutual, you smile as you hug him back, "me too, Felix, me too," you say, rubbing the small of his back to let the words seep into him.
"See you tomorrow!" Felix doesn't hesitate to kiss your cheek, a long, lingering one then lets go after a while.
He flashes a warm smile at you as he gets into the taxi, "go back inside!"
You nod, walking backward toward the entrance of your apartment building with your hand waving at him, "Goodnight!"
You watch the taxi drives away which makes you hit by a wave of nostalgia.
The day you left to study abroad, Felix sent you away in a taxi and you remember crying so hard the whole ride to the airport, heartbroken by the fact you won't be meeting someone like him to where you were going.
The moment you're back at your apartment, you dig into your vinyl collection, searching for an old record you haven't been playing in a long time.
"Gotcha!" You exclaim when you finally found it. You rush to the record player and carefully place the needle on the vinyl.
As the song starts playing, you sit by the window sill with a new can of beer, looking out at the view of the city with its blinking lights. It surely reminds you of those grueling first few days of living so far away from home. You cooped in your small flat and listened to this song through the headphones, being severely homesick.
"So what do you say? You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway."
It wasn't a place or a certain object or the dull routine that you long to do, Felix's face ran through your head whenever you thought of home.
"You're half the world away... Half the world away..."
And tonight, you want to replace the bittersweet memory it elicits and plant a new one so the next time you listen to this song, you'd think of this day when you finally reunited with him.
"I've been lost. I've been found. But I don't feel down."
-
The car is pulling up right in front of you and you doubt that it's the one Felix sent to pick you up. The car is way too big and too fancy to pick up someone like you.
The window rolls down and you see someone with a bleached, buzzcut hair on the driver's seat.
"Are you a friend of Felix?" He asks.
It takes you a moment to process such a simple question, "Y-yes, I am."
"Okay, great, get in the car then!" He says.
You stand there and exchange confused glances at each other.
"I came here to pick you up," he explains, "Felix sent me."
He butchered the key information that assures you he's the one Felix ordered to get you to the venue. Seeing that you're not convinced yet, he pulls out an ID hung around his neck.
"I would appreciate it if you get in the car right now or else, we'll be late for the soundcheck," he says.
You stifle a nod and get into the car, sitting on the passenger's side, and putting on your seatbelt quickly.
"And thank you for sitting in the front," he says.
He drives fast despite the heavy traffic on the way to the concert venue. While waiting for the traffic light to turn green, he uses the opportunity to introduce himself.
"I'm Lou, by the way," he introduces himself.
You introduce yourself back, "Are you working for the band?"
He sucks air through his teeth, "you can say that, yeah," he vaguely answers.
You don't want to pressure him to answer your question especially when you just met him minutes ago.
After driving past the intersection, he continues to speak more about himself, "I'm a friend of Han and he got me to work with him, as a roadie."
"Ah, I get it," you lowly exclaim.
"I guess it's better than staying unemployed," he says.
You nod, agreeing with him. Anything is better than having no money.
"What about you? I heard you're a photographer?"
"That's right, yeah, I'm a freelance so I'm as good as a jobless person," you jokingly say.
He glances to see that you're not bringing anything but a sling bag, "you're not taking any cameras with you?"
You planned on taking one but you doubt that they'll let you take any pictures in there anyway so you decided not to. You still can take pictures with your phone anyway.
"I'm not sure if they'll allow me..."
He nods, "Yeah, I'm not sure either."
You let out a breath of relief knowing that you made the right decision.
Lou parks the car at the back of the concert venue, he tells you to keep following him but he walks so fast that you start to panting.
"ID, please?" The security asks him.
He shows his ID at him then points at you, "She's with me."
Lou continues walking fast while greeting everyone he meets on the way. It's like walking in a maze but he takes you to one of the doors that leads to the pit.
"I think we're late," he says.
As he pushes it open, the sound of music playing greets you.
There they are, the three of them on the stage, adjusting their instruments to get them ready for the soundcheck.
"Sit whenever you want!" Lou tells you.
You nod and find it hard to choose where to sit despite they're all empty.
"I'll come back in a few minutes with a pass for you," he says before leaving.
"Thank you," you mutter to him but he probably can't hear it against the blasting electric guitar playing from the stage.
You can spot his red hair, catching your eye right away as if his head caught on fire.
He's shredding his guitar, playing a riff that you recognize is an intro from one of their songs. On the back, you see Felix, tightening the screws on his drums and checking his pedal.
The other one is setting the amplifier next to Felix's drums, playing his bass to see if it's the tune he desired.
It doesn't stop there, next, they're checking their mics by calling their names into it.
"Check one two, one two, it's Han," he says into the mic.
You wouldn't say you don't know any of them because who doesn't?
Ssick is a band founded by Han, the vocalist and informally, the frontman of the band. He met Felix at a college and started jamming together but to start a band, they needed a guitar player, so Felix introduced him to Hyunjin who's now their main guitarist.
So they began playing as a band from one place to another throughout their college years and they grew a great following.
A year later, they got offered a record deal. Little did they know, they're off to great things. It's their third year as a band now.
As you grow older, you're off the radar on knowing what's popular these days so you can't exactly know how big they are but they're having a showcase concert to promote their third album right now so that says a lot.
They start playing a song on the stage right now, it's one that you heard so many times on the radio and again that says a lot about their popularity.
You can't help but notice how much Felix has grown, he used to be this boy who eats sweets and left the wrappers strewn around your bedroom floor and now he's there, being what he always wanted to be, a drummer for a band, a rockstar.
It sounded like a silly dream back then but look at him, proving that you're wrong.
You unconsciously get up from your seat once the soundcheck is done and clap your hands together, you doubt that they can hear it because you're sitting far enough and they get off the stage right away.
"Okay, now what we're doing?" You awkwardly ask yourself.
Lou says he'll be away for a few minutes but he hasn't come back yet. You look around the empty arena only to spot a few staff putting numbers on the seats.
It won't be long until one of them find out that you're an intruder walking around the concert venue, it's not like they would believe that you're a friend of one of the band member. Things don't work out that way.
You exit through the same door Lou took you in and start looking for him. The faster you get to him, the better chance you get of not getting kicked out.
However, the constant reminder of telling yourself to put on a calm face only makes you even more suspicious. Someone spotted you walking through the hallway and makes his way toward you, it's too late to turn back.
"Sorry, miss," the tall guard says.
He looks for something which you believe is an ID hanging around your neck.
"May I know what your business here is?"
You open your mouth but nothing comes out of your mouth, it isn't like you commit a crime but it feels like you got caught stealing something.
"I-I got here with Lou," you stammer.
"Who?"
"Lou, I came here—" your throat is closing up the more you try to explain, "but h-he went to get me—"
"I'm sorry, miss. I can't let you walk around here without an ID," he sternly says, holding his hand out to escort you somewhere.
Somehow you find yourself walking to where he's leading you as you try to come up with something convincing, "I'm a friend," you say.
With a flat smile, you know he dismissed you right away.
"I swear, I know Felix," you say but that sounds delusional coming from you who have no proof whatsoever.
From the opposite direction, you notice a familiar face who you think may be able to get you out of this dire situation.
You only have a little time as you're about to meet in the middle, hesitated and groggy, you call out his name.
"Hyunjin?"
You see him walk past you with his headphones on. Hopeless, you pull the sleeve of his jacket at once that the phone he's holding drops onto the floor.
Hyunjin immediately turns around and sees you.
"I'm so sorry," you quickly mutter, scrambling to pick up his phone from the floor. In one glance, you can tell the song he's listening to on his phone.
"I'm sorry," you say again while looking up to see and make sure that it's him, the red hair peeking out from the black beanie he's wearing confirmed it.
He stares at you for a moment but you sense that he's going to come at you for dropping his phone.
"Can you help me?" You ask, getting ahead of him.
His forehead wrinkles in confusion as he cleans the screen of his phone with the sleeve of his jacket.
"Can you call Felix for me? Let him know that I'm here?" You desperately say as the guard stands right behind you, witnessing the awkward exchange.
He looks at you again with an even more intense stare.
"Please?" You plead with a thin smile.
Hyunjin shifts his eyes to check for any damage, "and who are you?" he asks without looking at you.
"I'm a friend of Felix," you say and you wished that you said it confidently.
He looks up from his phone, his eyes are once again on you but what is strange about his stare this time is it's as if he saw another human for the first time: pure bewilderment.
"Can you please call him for me?" You kindly ask him again.
But the long pause only tells you that he has no intentions to help you.
"You know what? Never mind," you sigh.
You decide to give up trying to convince him. You have no proof to make him trust you anyway so why bother trying?
You turn around to let the guard take you to wherever he's going to send you, probably toss you out to the street.
Thankfully, at the end of the hall, Lou appeared to stop that from happening.
"I've been looking for you!" He says when he's still a few meters from you when it should be you saying that.
"It's okay, she's with me," he says to the guard.
He lets go right away and turns to do his job elsewhere, as much as you hate to experience it but that man is merely doing his job.
You let out a big sigh of relief, "what took you so long?" You whine and sound exactly like you're about to cry.
He puts the pass around your neck like a necklace, you check it to see that it's an all-access pass.
"Logistics stuff," he concisely explains.
You choose to let him off easy, he's also, just doing his job.
Putting his arm around your shoulder after, Lou takes you walking with him in the opposite direction of the hallway and when you think about it, it starts to feel like a maze.
"Where are we going?"
"The green room!" He shortly replies.
You both arrived at two big doors with the name of the band plastered on them and guarded by a security guard. He glances at your pass before opening the door for you.
Suddenly, a wave of anxiety hits you. Because what if you're not welcome there? You stop Lou from taking you inside with your hand holding onto the door.
"Is it alright for me to be in there?"
Lou got so perplexed by your question, "Of course!"
The little incident earlier gives you an inkling that someone inside wouldn't want you there. Lou probably thinks that you're nervous, he takes your hand to drag you inside, "If it's not alright then why Felix asked me to take you here?"
The green room is empty except for a few people sitting on the couch and a few others are in another part of the room.
"Hey guys, I found her loitering outside," Lou playfully announce your arrival to Felix who was talking to someone on the couch.
"Should we take her or not?"
Felix chuckles and leans back on the couch, scanning you from head to toe, "I'm not sure," he says.
Lou grabs both of your shoulders, "okay then I'll just toss her into the recyclable bin," he jokes.
You glare at both Felix and Lou, keeping your face stern.
Felix softens right away, "Okay, okay, come here!"
He takes your hand, pulling you hard enough that you topple onto his lap. You immediately get off his lap, afraid that people might take it the wrong way.
"Thank you for taking her here," Felix thanked Lou.
"No problem, man!" He replies, walking to the fridge stocked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. He picks up a can of cola and plops down on the other sofa.
"Where's Han?"
"In an interview in the other room," Felix replies, also grabbing a can of cola from the fridge without getting up. He opens it and hands it to you.
"Thanks," you mutter.
He leans back on the sofa again, looking tired even though his day is far from done.
"So, how was the soundcheck?"
You quickly swallow your first sip of soda to answer, "It was great!"
"Just great?"
You lowly chuckle, "we were much greater," you answer with a cheeky grin.
"That! I don't agree!"
Your head turns to see someone standing behind you and for a second, you thought it was the last person you want to see there and vice versa.
Han plops down on the sofa next to you, "I'm Han," he offers his hand at you.
You tell him your name while taking his hand to shake, "here I thought no one shakes hands anymore," you say.
A cocky grin appears on his small, round face, "I'm classy that way," he says.
Felix snorts next to you, "Trust me, there's nothing classy about this man!"
Han hits Felix with a cushion, "Back me up here!"
"She'd know if I lied," Felix defended himself.
"No, actually," You turn to Felix and continue speaking, "Anyone can tell when you're lying, Felix!"
Now, it's Han's turn to laugh, he puts his hoodie on and moves to the smaller sofa, getting comfortable by putting a cushion under his neck.
"I'm taking a nap," he announces and puts on earplugs.
Felix puts his hand around your shoulder and pulls you close until your head meets his, "am I that transparent?" He asks you in a whispery voice.
You lowly laugh, "Since day one."
He drops his head onto your shoulder and heavily sighs.
You pet his head and his hair is perfectly tousled as if someone spent hours styling it that way.
Something red enters your peripheral vision and your heart skipped a beat, you haven't decided how you should act upon the little incident earlier.
Should you be wise and let it go? You also hate to be in this situation.
"Hyunjin, I want to introduce someone to you," Felix shouts at him with his head still resting on your shoulder and your hand in his hair.
Hyunjin stops on his track for a while, looking at Felix, then at you. As he sets his eyes on you, you decide to bravely stare back at him, letting him know that it's the right time for him to say something.
All he does is this subtle shrug then goes to the other part of the room. No apologies or even a hint of regret for dismissing you earlier.
Holding a grudge seems to be the only right choice at the moment and you don't care how petty that sounds.
Felix knows that Hyunjin just gave you a not-so-friendly welcome greeting, "he's always like that before a show," he assures you.
"Man, he's like that even after the concert," Lou adds.
With eyes closed, Han injects himself into the conversation, "pretty boys are like that," he jokingly remarks.
"The fact that you aren't like that means you're not pretty?" Lou pokes fun at him.
He smirks with eyes closed, "that's because I'm cool," he ends with a bold statement.
-
Thankfully, Felix doesn't have to go anywhere but get his makeup done.
The make-up artist doesn't do much on him, just a thin layer of foundation that covers enough with his freckles still showing, dusting both of his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.
After that, he does his preconcert rituals and which consist of having a light meal, drinking hydration drinks, memorizing the setlist, warming up, and having a quick briefing with the stage director.
You feel like a real intruder as you walk with him to the back of the stage, you have no other choice with his arm around your shoulder.
The manager finally appears a few minutes before showtime, everyone gathers into a circle while you stand in the corner.
"Come here!" Felix says, gesturing you to join in.
Lou is pushing you from the back, also joining the circle for team cheer. Hands are stacked in the middle of the circle you can't tell whose hands belong to who anymore.
The manager shouts encouragement loudly as the opening sequence of the concert has began playing on stage and the crowd cheers at the anticipation.
"On three!" Han shouts.
"One, two, three!" He shouts as everyone throws their hands in the air in unison.
"WE'RE SO SSICK!" Everyone shouts in unison except you.
The path to the stage is signed with neon-colored tape plastered onto the floor but it's still dark to see what you're stepping on. Lou is quick to turn on the flashlight from his phone while fisting the back of your t-shirt, afraid that you might stumble with the cables slithering on the floor.
Everyone is stopping at the side of the stage, still out of the crowd's sight.
"You can watch from here!" Felix tells you.
You grab him by the elbow to whisper to him instead of trying to talk over the loud music, "Good luck!"
He smiles, then pulls you into a quick hug. He turns at Lou but he knows what he's going to say.
"Don't worry! I got her!" He assures him.
The moment each one of them steps into the stage, the crowd cheers louder it's deafening.
"Your friend worries a lot," Lou whispers to you.
"I know," you mouthed at him while laughing.
The show starts with a blasting guitar playing from Hyunjin, a riff from the title song in their last album. It feels as if someone just electrocuted you because all of sudden your body is buzzing all over but in the best way.
Then Felix starts banging his drum with his foot hitting the pedal so hard that you can feel every beat right in your eardrum.
After a few bars of intro, Han takes over his place in the front and pushes his mouth close to the mic, singing the first line of the verse followed by the crowd singing along with him.
Somehow, you picked up the lyrics of the chorus right away and sang along on the second verse. Your body is controlled by the music that you're no longer trying to stop yourself anymore but giving in.
In the break between the songs, you take a step forward to see how many people are there coming to the concert. Turns out, the arena is full of people from top to bottom, front to back. There are so many people you can't possibly count them in your head.
All of the hairs on your arms are standing as you take a step back to the side of the stage, "oh my God!"
Lou grins at you, he seems to be used to this view. Unlike you, he's busy looking at the members the whole time, to check if anyone needs something fixed quickly.
They'll signal him if something is wrong or the sound is either too low or high, mic problem. Lou also helps if either Hyunjin or Han needs a change of instruments.
"Here! Felix's solo is coming soon!" He gestures for you to come over to him.
You comply, standing a little too close to the stage but hidden behind the stage equipment. There, you get a clear view of Felix playing his drum, every movement of his hands and feet on the pedals.
Hyunjin stops playing his guitar, leaving only Han playing rhythmical guitar as the background to Felix's solo drumming.
You were wrong to ever thought that Felix's dream of becoming a drummer is a silly thing. Here you are, watching him become one and he's incredibly good at it that it feels like he's sticking his middle finger right to your face.
Other than that, you are so proud of him, proud of what he has become yet remains the same person.
Felix is too focused on playing that he only realized you were watching from the side once he's done with his solo. He slyly grins at you with one eyebrow raised while his hands are busy carrying the beat.
"Told you I'm great!" He shouts at you.
"Yeah keep telling that to yourself," you playfully reply.
It feels a whole lot different watching them from the side of the stage like this and seeing what's happening behind the scene, that there are a lot more people involved in the show to make sure everyone leaves with unforgettable memories.
They finish the last song on the setlist and take a break before going back in for the encore.
Lou is handing out extra towels as each one of them comes to the side of the stage. Felix grabs one, then begins aggressively drying his hair with it, making a mess of it.
Han has his tongue out as he tries to catch his breath, standing facing the nig portable air conditioner to cool himself down.
Hyunjin is the last one to come backstage, practically drenched in sweat. His t-shirt is soaking wet that it's stuck to his body.
He sits on top of a box with his head down, sweat dripping from the end of his hair with the red hair dye fades into the white t-shirt he's wearing.
Felix puts his hand on your shoulder as a support, as he too, is running out of breath. The sleeveless top he's wearing is sticking to his skin despite it having two gaping holes on each side, exposing just enough to let everyone know he has toned abs under there.
Realizing that you unintentionally ogling at your best friend, you shake the thoughts away, quickly grabbing a bottled water nearby and uncap it for him.
"For the greatest drummer in the world," you switch the towel in his hand with it.
He's too exhausted to laugh at it that he can only grin, then takes a long, big gulp of water it spills out the corner of his mouth and dribbles down his chin. He finishes the whole bottle in under a minute.
With the already damp towel, you dab the sweat on his face and neck, carefully not ruining the make-up that somehow survives the extra moisture on his face.
A few minutes have passed with the crowd chanting for an encore when it's obvious that they need another few minutes of break.
You check the setlist taped to the wall and they have three songs to play for the encore. You wonder how they can still fully function after performing for more than two hours already.
"Whenever you're ready, boys!" Someone says, which you believe is coming from the manager.
Felix grabs another bottled water, not to drink it but pours it on his head to cool it off, he pushes his bleached blonde hair to the back with his fingers.
This is the kind of sight that would make the fans go wild, but what can you say? Guess tonight they're not lucky as you.
Felix takes the towel back from you to wipe the water dribbling down his neck, "do I look alright?" He asks with his eyes wide.
You saw the stylist put on mascara on him earlier and now it's slightly smudged with how much he sweats, but that only adds to the rockstar look. You decide to only wipe the excess under his eyes ever so slowly with your pinky finger.
"Let's get ready!" Han says as he looks around for the members despite he's still catching his breath.
Felix puts his hand away from your shoulder to get a clean towel, using it to dab fresh sweat on his face.
Behind him, something catches your eyes, the red of Hyunjin's hair and him casually taking his t-shirt off in front of everyone. Well, everyone is probably used to this but not you, you're the only one having a hard time trying not to look his way.
Look away, look away, you repeatedly tell yourself, but instead of doing that, you do the exact opposite.
You stare at his back figure and see the ridges his back muscles made as he puts a t-shirt over his head that eventually covers his smooth skin, glistening wet even under the poor lighting backstage.
Han once again takes the lead, walking up to Felix and tapping him on the shoulder repeatedly as if to transfer his energy to him.
"Let's go!" He excitedly tells him.
Felix always manages to catch you off guard, surprising you by pressing a kiss on the cheek and you can only give in to him.
"Be right back!" He says with a grin.
Hyunjin follows them not long after, but stopping at the side to dry his hair with a towel, you feel a few drops of his sweat land on your arms.
He briefly glances at you, then tosses the damp towel away before entering the stage again.
That one stare reminds you why you're still holding a grudge against him, but at the same time, you don't want it to ruin the night.
However, once Hyunjin plays his guitar, you forget all about it.
You feel the shiver down your spine, and it's getting intense as the guitar riffs he plays charmed you to keep watching.
And it's hard to do so because he's so blinding.
Before you fall in deeper, you turn to see Felix who's just as blinding, shining in his own limelight. You don't have to talk about Han, he shines in his own way from the way he got everyone wrapped around his little finger.
The pit is going berserk as they play a song they have probably been waiting for. The loud cheering returns and the music starts filling the entire space, letting it hypnotize and control them.
There's no use in fighting it, you let yourself get carried away and notice that Lou joining you as he puts his arm on your shoulder, jumping together to the intensified music as it comes close to its ending.
As the music stops, you found yourself panting and turn to the side to find Lou laughing, you can't help but laugh along with him even though you feel like you're about to faint.
The concert is close to three hours long but it seems like none of the attendees wanted to go home. You can relate to that after what you've experienced, that incredible feeling of being a part of something much bigger than ourselves. It's one-of-a-kind, euphoric, and addictive.
"Let's wait in the back!" Lou says, leading you down the steps with the help of the flashlight from his phone.
After the curtain closed and the lights are out, they finally come down to the backstage. The cheers from everyone who's working just as hard behind the curtains welcome them, applauds and whistles.
They give handshakes, high-fives, and quicks hugs to thank them for their hard work while you're trailing behind as they make their way back to the green room.
Felix stops on his track with his head turned, searching for you.
"She's here!" Lou says as he gently pushes you his way.
You walk up to him with a proud smile on, profoundly proud of him for not only achieving his dream but keep thriving at it.
"You were so great!" You got choked as you tell him that and he knows it's coming from the bottom of your heart, you're about to hug him when he avoids it.
"I'm sweaty, babe," he says, maintaining a space between your bodies.
He drops his hand to hold yours instead and starts walking together.
-
Felix comes out of the green room with his damp hair brushed to the back, carrying a bag on one shoulder with a smile blossoming on his face the second he sees you.
You've been waiting outside because they must be tired from the show, you should give them the space to cool down.
You stole a few packs of sweets and waited outside with Lou.
Felix walks towards you with his arms outstretched, hinting that he's going to hug you and you immediately rise from your seat to receive it.
His freshly shampooed hair smells nice but what you like the most is that natural scent that clung to his clothes.
"You smell way better now," you playfully say as you pull away.
"I know," he coyly answers with a smile.
He puts his arm around you and starts walking down the hallway that leads to the parking basement where a van is already parked right outside with the driver already waiting.
"You get in first!" He says.
Again, you comply without a word and only realized that you have no idea where he's taking you once you are seated in the back row of the van.
Felix plops down next to you and puts his bag next to him.
"Where are we going?" You ask.
"The after-party, of course," he simply answers.
"Aren’t you... tired?"
That must have sounded so naive coming from you that he chuckles, "Why? It's past your bedtime?"
You nod, "Yes. I actually want to go home. I miss my bed."
He glances at you in disbelief and shakes his head with his hand rummaging the inside of his bag.
"I use the same one," you share as he takes out a cherry lip balm.
He applies it on his lips, then says, "Want me to apply it on you?" he leans in with his lips puckered.
Your hand reflexively pushes him away as he playfully tries to kiss you. At the same time, someone enters the car and from the bright red of his hair, you know who it is without having to see his face.
Your laughs die down as he sits on the seat in the middle, you hear him sighing then drops his bag on the space next to him with a low thud.
It's getting quiet inside the dark of the van, the only source of light is coming from Felix's phone as he's checking his messages.
"Are you even allowed to take your girlfriend?" Hyunjin suddenly asks.
He doesn't even turn his head to the person he's asking the question to. Felix puts his arm around you to pull you closer to his side even though he has no one to show it off to.
"Why? Are you jealous?" Felix asks back instead of denying him.
You turn to the side to see Felix slyly grinning with the lights from his phone illuminating his face. On the other hand, you hear Hyunjin sighs again then puts his headphones back on again, probably regretted for asking about it.
A while later, Han and Lou finally get into the van, sitting on the front seats together. They're already busy chatting about a few things all at once and it's the first time you hear Lou talks so much.
Someone else gets into the passenger's side and the car lurches forward, exiting the parking basement. As the car drives out of the building, you can see a group of people lining up to perhaps, see the band once more before going home.
They're cheering as the van rides past them despite they can't see through the heavily tinted glass.
Calculate it fast in your head, they have waited for almost two hours after the concert ended just to catch a glimpse of them.
It makes you realize that you're lucky to be able to comfortably enjoy the show and now, being in the same car with them, an experience that a lot of people dream of having.
The whole ride is quiet and when you thought they must be resting out of fatigue. When the car stops in another parking basement in which you have no idea where.
Everyone can't wait to get out of the car, you're the last one to come with Felix helps you get off by holding your hand.
It's when you enter the building that you recognize it's the hotel they're staying at.
As everyone waits for the elevator to arrive, Han notices you standing across from him. Since your eyes make contact, it's only right to say something.
"Hey," you sheepishly say, afraid that he's not in the mood to talk to someone.
"Hey!" He greets back, "How was the show?"
He looks alright for a man who has sung more than twenty songs in two and a half hours.
"Incredible!" You shortly reply then realize that's not enough of a compliment.
"It's just amazing from first to last," you add and hope that it doesn't sound phony, you're just bad at verbalizing your thoughts.
He smiles back while fixing the collar of his jacket, "well, I'm glad you came," he says.
You don't expect him to be this charming in person, he has the kind of charm that slowly growing in you.
Felix hisses at him, "she came for me," he says while pushing you into the elevator as the doors slide open.
Han nudges Lou's elbow, "I didn't know Felix can be this possessive," he whispers to him intentionally loud.
Inside the small space of the elevator, Hyunjin remains unbothered with his headphones still on, hands deep in the pockets of his jeans. You can only see his face through the reflection on the shiny furnace of the elevator as it shoots up to the top floor which you assume is where all the luxurious suites are located.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to you anymore but the reality that your friend is in a famous band hasn't sunk in yet.
The after-party isn't what you expected it to be, it's more like a get-together with a hotel bartender working behind a small bar, tending to everyone's drinks.
You recognize most of the people there as the staff working in the green room earlier except that they're way more relaxed.
Everyone scatters like they know where they need to go and you hate to always have to cling to Felix which only shows how shitty you are at socializing.
"Drinks?" Lou asks from beside you.
"Yes, please!" You let out a sigh of relief at the end of the sentence.
Lou doesn't hesitate to order a hard liquor while you chose to have something with the least amount of alcohol in it. You take a sip to confirm that it tastes more sugary than an alcoholic and have a bigger sip after.
Being Lou is exceptionally easy, maybe because he's so laid-back and nonchalant in a sense that makes you feel like he's not going to attack you with personal questions.
"So, what do you guys usually do at the after-party?" You ask.
He snorts, "Actually, nothing, we just... chill?" He doubtfully answers, then pulls out a phone from his jacket.
"Let's take a picture!" He gives you no time to think of a pose but holds out his hand far enough to fit both of your faces in the camera.
What kind of photographer who doesn't know how to pose? You almost roll your eyes at yourself as the thought runs through your head.
"What's your Instagram?"
"I don't have one."
He squints his eyes at you for a moment, "No media social presence? Cool!"
You can't tell if he's being sarcastic or earnestly complimenting you, whichever it is, you don't feel offended by him.
"I have one but it's for my photography and work stuff," you add before you weirded him out more.
"Here," he hands you his phone to let you insert your username.
As you're handing his phone back, Felix comes from behind you. He gently puts his hand on your shoulder and talks close to your ear.
"Hey, I need you to meet someone," he says.
You turn to the side to find him leaning so close to you that it startles you.
"Who?"
He drops his hand to yours, "come with me," he orders.
"Okay, wait," you gulp the rest of your drink before letting Felix take you somewhere.
You haven't had the chance to look around the suite to know there's a balcony and a group of people lounging out there.
This is where they scooted away to, you say as you spotted Han and Hyunjin sitting on the long sofa.
Felix is taking you exactly there and makes you stand in front of everyone, putting you in the center of attention.
He points at the man sitting on the other sofa, "This is Vin," he introduces.
"He's the tour manager," he adds.
You hold out your hand because this sounds formal and it's basic etiquette, something that you learned from Han earlier.
"Hi, pleased to meet you," you sincerely say.
There's a hint of regret that you didn't choose to drink something stronger back in the bar, this calls for that too with the attention you're getting.
"You're a photographer?" Vin asks.
You clear your throat before answering, "Yes," you stammer.
That doesn't sound convincing so you try again, "Yes, I am."
He fixes his seating on the sofa and leans forward as if he's needing to take a better look at you, "I don't see you taking your camera with you tonight."
"I thought I'm not allowed to so I–" you pause as you heard someone snorts, everyone else there is chatting to each other however you feel their eyes on you.
"I'm sorry," you conclude instead of finishing your sentence and oh, you hate to apologize when you don't even do anything wrong.
Vin nods as he takes his glass of drink from the glass table, "so what do you think about being the band's photographer?"
The question takes you out completely. Firstly, because you didn't ask for it, and secondly, you don't know how you feel about it because you never even thought about it.
"Felix has been telling me about you," he says.
You look at the culprit next to you and he's grinning ear to ear, he knows that you can't be mad when he's putting his sunshine face on.
"We'll be going on tour next month," Vin continues, shifting on his seat and hastily sipping his drink, "how about you join us, taking pictures of the boys, the stage, everything..."
This is so sudden, so out of the blue and you don't like doing things unplanned. You take a low breath to supply your brain with more oxygen so you can think clearly.
After a while, the cogs are turning and your head started to fill with the pros. One, It's a job, you're barely booked and the tour is next month, two, no one booked you next month and third, it's a huge opportunity, you'll not be just a photographer for a band, it's THE one famous rock band, it's Ssick.
Vin hisses as he takes another sip of his liquor, "Just for the tour and you'll be paid, of course!"
Oh, and money. You need money, a lot of it to rent a photo studio.
"Oh, you're going on tour with us?" Someone asks.
Your head turns to see Han sitting on the armrest of the sofa, talking excitedly as if he's delighted to have you as one of his entourage. Or maybe he does and that lands him on the pros list.
You're getting confident about it now and about to answer him when your eyes somehow turn to the guy sitting next to him, the bright red of his hair is a contrast to his pale face that tells he is opposed to the idea, well, he can be on the cons list and you couldn't care less.
You look away from him and turn to Vin, "I'd love to, yes," you confidently answer.
It's the first time in your life saying yes out of a whim and you feel anxiety rises inside you.
"See you on tour then!" He coyly says with his glass slightly raises at you.
You excuse yourself the second the deal is made and run back to the bar, you meet Lou on the way there as he's talking to someone.
"Can I have it?" You point at his drink.
He shrugs and hands it to you without complaint.
You drain it empty in one long gulp and wince at the bitter aftertaste. It's whiskey and it's burning your throat that you can't speak without feeling like you're about to spit fire.
He rolls his head to the back to look at you, "what's wrong?"
You can only respond by shaking your head, telling him that you're alright and that you needed to release some jitters.
When you thought you can take it, you can feel the alcohol is making its way back out of you.
Lou is quick-witted, he gets up from the sofa and pulls you to a bathroom at the end of the hall. He closes the door for you as you rush to kneel on the floor, vomiting into the toilet bowl.
You check yourself in the mirror and see the mess you made on your t-shirt. You wet a towel to clean it but it's doing nothing, if anything, everyone would know you just vomited.
Someone barges into the toilet, it's your fault for not locking it after Lou closed it for you.
"It's occupied!" You shout, putting a hand to stop someone comes inside.
"It's me!"
From his deep voice, you can easily tell that it's Felix. Slowly you let go of your hand from blocking the door and open it for him.
His eyes dart to your wet, tainted t-shirt.
"I'm so grotesque, I know," you whine and continue your effort to clean it by roughly wiping on it with the wet towel.
Felix takes off his hoodie and hands it to you, "here, wear this," he says.
You take it from him without thinking, it's the only right option. He turns around to let you change your clothes.
"Are you mad?" Felix asks.
His question sounds so loud in this bathroom that is bigger than your bedroom. Other than that, you hear the sheer anxiety in his words.
"I'm not mad, Felix," you shorty reply.
You take a second to put on his hoodie and fix it while looking at the mirror, "You can turn around now!" You tell him.
He turns around and puts his hand against the sink, leaning his body to one side.
"But...?"
He knows you well that no detail is missed from you, "I was just a little taken aback," you honestly tell him.
He stares at you, making sure you're being honest and you let him see it in your eyes.
"If you feel pressured to do so but couldn't tell Vin, you can just tell me," he says as he takes a step toward you.
You shake your head and toss your unsalvaged t-shirt into the trash bin unintentionally hard, "are you kidding me?"
Felix gets startled that he reels to the back, "What?"
"What makes you think I'll pass the chance to go on a road trip with you and get paid for it?" You put both of your hands on his chest and playfully shove him away.
"I don't think so," you add with a playful grin.
His face loosens at your answer, he pulls you into a hug but you're fast to avoid it. You walk past him and stumble out of the bathroom, running away from him.
Felix catches you with his arms around your waist and you squeal as he lifts you off the floor.
"Put me down!"
"No!" He refuses, tightening his arms around you instead.
You hit his arms to force him to let you go but he's starting to spin you around as if you haven't just vomited a few minutes ago.
"Can you guys get out of the way?"
Both of you turn your heads at the same time to see Hyunjin with his annoyed face, waiting for any of you to make a way for him.
"Sorry," you meekly say and get to the other side with Felix.
"There's another bathroom..." Before Felix can finish his sentence, Hyunjin is already inside the bathroom.
Felix shrugs, "he probably needs to go number 2!"
As your eyes meet again, both of you burst into laughter at the same time.
The after-party is still going but it's past midnight and you're booked tomorrow, "I have to go home," you tell Felix.
He starts groaning, fussing like a child, "stay a little longer," he pleads with an adorable pout.
"I am booked for a job tomorrow," you share, and that the job requires you to be there earlier than the appointed time.
He pouts more it's forming into duck lips and you put your hand over it, slowly pushing him away.
"I have to go," you groan back.
He holds both of your hands, looking defeated.
"I'll have Lou drive you home," he says.
"No!" You strongly refuse, "I'm sure he's tired already."
"I'll drive you then," he offers with a flirty wink.
He's so relentless it's silly, you laugh and push him away from you, "I'll take a taxi home, the hotel reception can get one for me," you tell him.
You make a quick trip around to say bye to everyone, well, just a few of them that you know.
"Hey, I'm still glad that you came," Han says as he waves back at you.
"See you on tour!" Lou says to you with a quick, side hug.
This feels nice, this feels like you're welcomed even though the tour hasn't begun yet. Part of it is because Hyunjin is still out of your sight until you leave the suite. Well, you don't have to worry about him until next month.
Felix insists on sending you off, he comes to the hotel lobby with you and waits for your taxi to arrive.
He intertwines his hand with yours on his lap, "It'll be fun!"
Felix is filled with giddiness after he made sure you fully agreed to join the tour.
"We'll have so much fun!"
His gleeful grins are so child-like, you can't say no to his wishes when he's adorable like this.
"Are you that happy?" You jokingly ask.
He enthusiastically nods his head like a puppy.
You can't help but smile. The hotel doorman informs you that the taxi has arrived. You both get up from the chairs and exchange a hug.
"You were so great today, Felix! I'm so proud of you," you've been wanting to tell him that and make sure he hears it well, he has to know that he's doing great.
It seems that he doesn't expect to hear that from you but you feel his hand squeezes your shoulder.
"See you soon!" He finally utters something after what you said to him, then pulls away.
You wave your hand at him before exiting the hotel and sigh the moment you get into the taxi. A month feels so long, so far when excitement fills you to the brim.
A month couldn't come sooner.
-
It feels nice to be home and be in the comfort of your bed.
You pick up your phone to set an alarm since you have to wake up early for a job tomorrow. There's a notification and you click on it to see the photo Lou posted on his Instagram with your handle tagged on it.
Turns out, Lou has his fans as his followers count can grant him an influencer status. You scroll down his social media page to see the photos he has posted and they're mostly the photos he took of the band, random bits, here and there.
There's one photo of Hyunjin eating a donut with a box full of it sitting on his lap with his hair still dark and tied into a tiny ponytail that formed a little palm tree on the top of his head.
"Flour boy," Lou captioned it and a chuckle escapes your mouth.
You slap yourself on the face to remind yourself that you're holding a grudge against him and the next thing you know, you fall into the rabbit holes of things you should have done or said to him, making scenarios in your head until you can't take it anymore.
You can't go to sleep like this, not when the last thing on your mind is that annoying red-haired flour boy. You're flipping through your vinyl collections to check if you have what you're looking for.
Everyone knows that album artwork of a painting of a banana by Andy Warhol but you're not sure if you ever bought it.
Giving up, you end up looking for the album on your phone and play the same song Hyunjin was listening to as you knocked his phone down.
You sit down on the carpeted floor listening to the song playing the intro of the song then you hear a girl starts singing...
"Here she comes
You better watch your step
She's going to break your heart in two
It's true..."

Everything’ll be alright
𝔭𝔞𝔦𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 - Chris x fem!reader
𝔰𝔲𝔪𝔪𝔞𝔯𝔶 - request <3
𝔴𝔞𝔯𝔫𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰 - mentions of depression, bad mental health, Chris being oblivious, not proofread
Everything in your life has just been going wrong. Or at least it’s felt that way. Simple everyday tasks have grown increasingly difficult to do and every waking moment is it’s own battle. You’ve had no contact with the outside world in who knows how long, not even your own boyfriend. It just seems as though nobody cares and that, along with everything else is slowly destroying you.
Only leaving your bed to use the bathroom and grab another bag of chips that will eventually be thrown to the side uneaten, has been how you’ve been living for awhile now. You’re filled with this overwhelming feeling of despair and it just won’t go away. At war with your own mind, and there doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of this tunnel. Just a dead end.
*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** **
Chris lays on the couch, scrolling through Instagram while hoping that you’ll answer one of his million texts. He knows you’re pushing him away but he can’t figure out why. What did he do wrong? You’re his first girlfriend and he’s so afraid to loose you but he doesn’t know what’s wrong or what to do.
“Me and Nick are going to McDonald’s if you want to bring y/n,” Matt calls as he grabs his keys off the counter.
“No that’s ok, I don’t think she’d want to” Chris reply’s, not looking up from his phone.
“But I thought she loves McDonald’s? I haven’t heard from her in awhile, how’s she doing?” Matt asks, his voice laced with concern.
“I wouldn’t know” Chris mumbles, clearly hurt.
Every once in awhile you kind of disappear but you’ve never done it for this long, let along not talking to Chris at all.
“Did you guys break up?” Matt asks gently as he sits by Chris on the couch.
“No but she ghosted me” Chris starts, pressing his palms into his eyes. “She’s completely disappeared off of social media, and never answers my texts or calls even when it says she’s active.”
Worry is painted across Matt’s features as he watches his brother fight off tears.
“Chris I think you should go check up on her. Y/n wouldn’t do this without a really good reason and I think she’s really struggling right now. I’ll bring you on the way to McDonald’s ok?”
Chris never thought about that fact you might not be doing well, he was more concerned about you ignoring him.
“Ok, let’s go.”
*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** **
You’ve been curled up on your bed, staring at the same spot on your wall for what’s seemed like forever. How long exactly? You have no clue. Your only telling of time was whether there was light peeking through the blinds, or if everything was just swallowed in darkness.
The creak of the door to your room opening startles you out of your dazed state, confused as you hadn’t heard anyone come into your apartment.
“Hey there princess” a familiar voice whispers as he shuts the door behind him.
Chris.
Without another word, he climbs into your bed, snaking his arms around you, holding you close against his chest. And that’s all it took for you to burst into tears, wetting his t-shirt as you cry into his chest.
“I’m trapped Chris, I’m trapped” you manage to cry out in between sobs.
“I don’t know what to do”
“Everything will be alright baby, we’ll figure this out together, I’ve got you” he whispers soothingly into your hair.
There’s a terrible pressure on your chest, you feel everything and nothing at the same time, and your whole life seems to be crumbling down in front of you, but Chris is there. Right besides you through it all just like he’s always been. The world could be falling apart and he’d be there, ready to hold you in his arms and tell you everything will be alright.
Right now, all you need is Chris and he doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
