A couple of surprising finales presented a direction that turned into a conclusion with a hindsight, but you also had a hunch there was more to be promised. Ice Cream For Crow by Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band, for instance, is quite weird. That's normal for him, though he did go on the LP I mentioned into a soundscape that could be described as the 80's Tom Waits taking a ton of hard drugs, then visiting his favourite place to gather some strangers to play music notice I didn't say musicians – and finishing this with a trip to a local wasteland, where his cohorts are told to play whatever instrument the way they like. Unsurprisingly, he makes all that work out and yet he could've gone further in this mode, mind you, though he just … stopped.

A few years ago, @thorinduil made a post asking “which songs make you think about Thorin, Thranduil and the Thorinduil pairing?” Last year, I answered them via reblog and then kept adding to it as I remembered/thought of more songs... Instead of reblogging THAT reblog for its one year anniversary, I decided to post my answers separately, here, and just update THIS list, instead, from now on. SO! Basically: My Thorinduil Playlist~ xD
"Walk Through the Fire" by Zayde Wolf feat. Ruelle
Also “Young and Beautiful” by Lana del Rey which I literally wrote a fic about.
And “Famous Last Words” by My Chemical Romance; perfect for survivor!Duil
Fuuu!!! “Poison” by Alice Cooper!!! Jive, how did I forget that one? Thank my mate, everyone; s/he reminded me rofl while we RPed
Rediscovered “Empire” by Shakira and think it’d fit them perfectly~
“Steady, as She Goes” by The Raconteurs has major wait too long vibes which, seriously, is 100% Thorinduil (especially since Thorin dies with his glue blood...); altho I’ll admit this one only occurred to me cuz it’s in my mate and I’s playlist and, like with Poison, we were talking about these two yet again lmfao and also this fanvideo which got me thinking of S,aSG halfway through it so... yea
AND “I Don't Care” by Apocalyptica ‘cause it fits/these both reminded me I love it
“I hate U, I love U” by Gnash ft. Olivia O'Brien: this is literally their love story
Perhaps strangely, I think “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” by Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, and Dave Stewart would work for them--especially Thorin
“Gingerbread Man” by Melanie Martinez; partly because of this video; but also because of the climax of the song not shown in that edit (which is a real shame cuz that was sort of the part that sealed it for me and got me to add it to this list): Thranduil is so the icing on Thorin and Thorin’s so the crumbs on Thranduil and they’re 100% loving hard, fighting, breaking, and eating each other into nothing
“I Want To **** You Like An Animal” by Nine Inch Nails; for obvious reasons
“I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)” by Meat Loaf because, legit, that’s just Thranduil on top of that cliff refusing to throw away his people/family
“Say Something” by A Great Big World because acesout is right
“Unsteady” by X Ambassadors because, after writing “Once I trusted/relied on/believed in you and you let me down” and “Once I had hopes that we could build something beautiful together but reality reminded me that I’m old and ugly and not good enough (for you) so I thought it best to let you go when I should’ve held you” in this and reading acesout’s post linked above and realizing it’s true... I just want to see/read them holding onto each other like this v.v They deserve it.
“Rude Boy” by Rihanna and probably also “Only Girl in the World” by her, too; actually, “We Found Love” ft. Calvin Harris and “Diamonds” and “Stay” ... Huh... Rihanna actually has a LOT of songs perfect for them... their whole love story...
“Enemies” by Lauv because the sentiment is so them.
“Fire” by Wang Yibo because this romance is ALL about playing with fire~
“Accidentally in Love” by Counting Crows cuz it’s literally what happened
“Not Another Song About Love” by Hollywood Ending because, seriously, everything about this song is them: they hate everything about each other while also needing everything about each other and wanting each other’s love ‘til it all runs out ‘cause they’re all that each other’ve been dreaming of~
“I'm Not Afraid” by Tommee Profitt ft. Wondra but mostly just the first part/verse; the rest of it strikes me more as Thranduil fighting depression/Sauron’s shadow while knowing he’s not only lost Thorin as a lover but gained him as an enemy...
“Locked Away” by R. City ft. Adam Levine cuz it’s literally Thorin losing it all--from mountain to crown to gold--and yet not getting that Thranduil locking him up IS him sticking with him, by his side, and grounding him through the goldlust
“Baby Love” by The Supremes because Mizugetsu on YT is a folking genius and I always liked this song anyway--also, it just really fits them rofl and their story
“Teeth” by 5 Seconds of Summer: the “dangerous beauty/love to hate” vibes just work and the simp!Thorin feels--@lady-astria and I were just talking about this!
“Always” by Saliva because there’s nothing unThorin[duil] about it; it’s all them (especially, I think, from Thorin’s POV post-Smaug straight up to BotFA)
“Kiss from a Rose” by Seal because “my power, my pleasure, my shame” period. But also it really does sound like Thorin singing about Thranduil, his lit rose.
"Let Her Go” by Passenger; because sometimes you only know you love him when you turn away from him and his burning home to protect your own... or when you’re dying with a hole in your chest and finally UNDERSTAND WHY your One did that and finally stop hating him for it... because you never did.
“Unconditionally” by Katy Perry because it sounds like Thorin (mostly) and Thranduil grappling with their surprisingly deep love for each other as well as their inability to trust each other after all the betrayals they’ve suffered through; this song is what I think would happen if Thorin just admitted Thranduil was right and a good king for not asking his people to die for the dwarves that ignored him—and if Thorin’s love for Thranduil were stronger than his need to be number 1 or to horde and covet literally everything including Thranduil’s love and attention.
“A Sky Full Of Stars” by Coldplay because, in the canon, Thorin IS this to Duil and Thranduil WAS this to Thorin and every night he sees him there still
“Gravity” by Sara Bareilles; because something always brings them back together—it never takes too long—and they’re always there for each other... even when they’re gone
“A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri because it’s literally reincarnated!Thorin with Never-Sailed!Thranduil forever waiting for his love(s)’s return~
“Broken” by Lifehouse because Thranduil’s still holding post-canon; and, truly, they were both holding onto each other before all that even if they won’t admit it

A hard-hitting, realistic look at the undercover police world with a bitter taste of the cases that they work. Jason Patric and Ray Liotia play the parts of two Detroit police offers tasked with bringing the killers of a fellow undercover officer to justice. Dark, gritty and overwhelming, Narc doesn’t sugarcoat law enforcement but somehow keeps the experience real without turning the opinion of the viewer against the officers, who often bend the rules as far as they can without going over the edge. Excellent drama, along with some very realistic dialog and some top-notch acting brings this title to the forefront of its niche. I guarantee you won’t figure out “who done it” until the very end. Definitely not a date night movie, or something to watch while the kids are around, but something perfect for a rainy afternoon flick with the guys.

Peter Gallagher and Andie MacDowell in Sex, Lies, and Videotape (Steven Soderbergh, 1989) Cast: James Spader, Andie MacDowell, Peter Gallagher, Laura San Giacomo, Ron Vawter, Steven Brill, Alexandra Root, Earl R. Taylor, David Foil. Screenplay: Steven Soderbergh. Cinematography: Walt Lloyd. Art direction: Joanne Schmidt. Film editing: Steven Soderbergh. Music: Cliff Martinez. Steven Soderbergh's dialogue for his very first feature, Sex, Lies, and Videotape had wit, candor, and originality, and his sharply drawn characters were beautifully played by a quartet of up-and-coming actors, winning him the Palme d'Or at Cannes and launching a major career. Sex and lies are still very much with us -- videotape not so much -- so it's no surprise that this deftly accomplished film still feels fresh going on 30 years later. My only reservation about the film has to do with its ending, which feels a little pat and formulaic, almost as if Soderbergh didn't know how to stop without tacking on a moral. So Graham (James Spader), whose addiction to sex and lying is the most egregious of the four, gets punished by losing his job -- or so we surmise, since we never see him after he's been summoned to the office of the head of his law firm. Ann (Andie MacDowell) reconciles with Cynthia (Laura San Giacomo), which feels a little pat, considering that she broke up Ann's marriage, though on the other hand it wasn't much of a marriage to begin with and they are sisters, so she might as well make future Thanksgiving dinners less of an ordeal. But why do we get the pairing of Graham and Ann? Are we expected to believe that the various revelations and the destruction of his video collection has cured him of his voyeurism and impotence and her of her frigidity? There's a kind of obligatory quality to the ending -- movies have to round things out -- that feels at odds with the otherwise sharp exploration of the hangups of its characters.

TOP TEN ( any ) FAR CRY SONGS
Tagged by @everybodylovesanoutlaw! Thank you, doll!
Going to tag: @shallow-gravy, @ariestals, @jacobseeds-mainhoe, @nightwingshero, @deputyrhiannonhale, @mackie-hattwie, @hawkfurze, @foofygoldfish, @f0xyboxes and anyone else that wants to do it! No pressure, as per usual! x
RULES: list your top ten songs from the Far Cry franchise and list your reasoning behind your picks.
I’m Sorry—Brian Tyler: I started out with Far Cry 3 a long time ago, and this piece will always bring me nostalgia.
Should I Stay or Should I Go—The Clash: the greatest lyrical spoiler I have ever seen in a game; yes, I’ll stay for the crab rangoon, wyd.
We’ll Meet Again—Vera Lynn: the Fallout vibes of this piece? John whistling it? It playing during the credits? Iconic.
Help Me Faith—Dan Romer: my favorite of the cult songs; love it to bits.
Lakshmana—Cliff Martinez: g o d, this gave me shivers when I first heard it. Ishwari’s words on the screen during this song? L o r d.
When the Morning Light Shines In—Dan Romer: favorite soundtrack piece of the game, hands down. Such a relaxing and distinguishable tune.
Make It Bun Dem—Skrillex: how can you do a stealth mission when this absolute banger is playing?
Only You—The Platters: Jacob Seed will forever be ingrained in my mind while listening to it just like Todd Howard is when I hear Sweet Little Lies.
When The World Falls Into The Flames—Dan Romer: one of the mission soundtracks that made me fall in love with this game ( and flying in it. )
Oh John—Dan Romer: I actually didn’t like this song at first, but at the fifth listen, it became one of my go-to bangers.

He’s a big arm and pitched well after the Sox acquired him at the deadline. Signed late and was delayed to spring training due to visa issues, but could still be ready for the season. He’s a lefty and a different look, and perhaps could fill a void until fellow southpaw Taylor returns from the injured list. Placed first baseman Eric Hosmer on the 10-Day Injured List due to low back inflammation, retroactive to August 21. Now he has a chance to make a sustained impact. BOSTON, MA The Boston Red Sox made the following roster moves: Placed right-handed pitcher Nathan Eovaldi on the 15-Day Injured List due to right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to August 19. He can eat innings, and with Josh Taylor (back) likely to start the year on the injured list, the Sox will need him to.Ĭrawford harnesses some of the best stuff on the team and rose from Double A last season to make his MLB debut with the Sox. The Official Site of Minor League Baseball web site includes features, news, rosters, statistics, schedules, teams, live game radio broadcasts, and video clips.

Sawamura had a 3.06 ERA in 53 innings last season, his first in the US after 10 years in Japan, and can serve multiple roles in the bullpen. Full Boston Red Sox roster for the 2022 season including position, height, weight, birthdate, years of experience, and college. Finally healthy, he gives hitters a different look as somewhat of a finesse arm.Ī 10-year MLB veteran joining his sixth organization, Diekman is inconsistent, but can be a powerful and dominant arm when he’s on. 24 Don Buddin SS 3 Pete Runnels 2B 10 Gene Stephens CF 6 Vic Wertz 1B 4 Jackie Jensen RF 11 Frank Malzone 3B 37 Gary Geiger LF 22 Sammy White C 23 Tom. Pitched the last four seasons with San Diego, though only 27⅓ innings the last two years.
#Red sox roster series#
He was left off the American League Championship Series roster. He’s a good ear for the younger guys and should be able to eat some innings if healthy.Ī first-time All-Star last year, Barnes fell off a cliff in the second half and lost his closer role as his ERA ballooned to 9.26 in August and September. 519 W-L Playoff Appearances: 25 Pennants: 14 World Championships: 9 Winningest Manager: Joe. The 42-year-old keeps on pushing and is back in Boston, with whom the Milton native pitched from 2010-12 and in 2015. Boston Red Sox Team History & Encyclopedia Record: 9778-9076. Wacha finished strong, though, and is looking to redeem himself this year. Record: 60-63-0, 5th place in ALEast (Schedule and Results). He had a bad 2021 with a 5.05 ERA in 29 games for Tampa Bay. He posted a 3.52 ERA in 69 big-league innings last year. Houck has a chance to stick with the team all season, following a 2021 in which he pinballed between Boston and Triple A Worcester. He brings energy and fire to the rotation and can eat innings. His ERA was 4.53, but the Red Sox trusted him as a starter last year which helped Pivetta’s confidence. He’d be the 12th pitcher to start in three straight for the Sox. Eovaldi is in line to make his third straight Opening Day start due to Chris Sale’s rib injury. The 2018 Boston Red Sox won the World Series. He was a first-time All-Star last year, finishing with a 3.75 ERA in 182⅓ innings.

Rick Porcello topped the team with 17 wins, plus David Price added 15 or more wins, too Chris Sale recorded a 2.11 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.Īlex Cora coached the team. Martinez walloped 43 home runs for the team, while Rafael Devers, Andrew Benintendi, Mitch Moreland, Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts each swatted 20 or more, too. This classic record made it to #36 on the US pop charts and #7 on the R&B charts in February of 1957.  Super post, Choock!  Here's some info about Clarence Palmer, the lead vocalist on this recording. Clarence Palmer Born 2 January, 1911, Pawtucket, Rhode Island Died March 1978, The Bronx, New York City, New York Clarence Palmer first entered the music business in the mid-1930s with the Palmer Brothers (Dick, Ernest and Clarence), who resided in the small town of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. They were one of the first harmony trios to perform (and record) with big bands, including those of Count Basie and Cab Calloway. By 1949 Dick and Ernest retired, but Clarence couldn't kick the performing bug and formed a new group with members of Sonny Austin's Jive Bombers. They recorded two singles for Coral in 1949 as Al Sears and the Sparrows. The first of these was "Brown Boy", a song written and originally recorded (as "Brown Gal") by the second wife of Louis Armstrong, Lillian (Lil), in 1936. In late 1951, Palmer formed a new ensemble, Clarence Palmer and the Jive Bombers, who recorded for Lou Parker's Citation Records of Detroit. They released a new version of "Brown Boy", which (again) went unnoticed. In 1956, the Jive Bombers consisted of Clarence Palmer, Earl Johnson and the brothers Al Tinney and William "Pee Wee" Tinney. Manager Cliff Martinez introduced the group to Herman Lubinsky of Savoy Records, for which they held their first session on November 30, 1956. Their first Savoy single was "Bad Boy" (Savoy 1508), a remake of "Brown Boy", which Palmer sang in a laid-back, stuttering style, a good-natured throwback to the sounds of the 1940s. It was welcomed as a pleasant diversion from rock 'n' roll by programme directors in the first weeks of 1957. By mid-March, "Bad Boy" had reached # 36 on the pop charts and # 7 on the R&B charts. In spite of this success, the record was not issued in the UK. The flip was also quite interesting. "When Your Hair Has Turned To Silver" (with a lead vocal by Pee Wee Tinney) was not far removed from the sounds that Dave Bartholomew was producing in New Orleans at the time. Further Savoy singles, like "Cherry", featured Palmer sounding like a muted trumpet, but they did poor business. The old standard "Stardust" was the final Savoy single in 1959. Label credit went simply to "The Jive Bombers", instead of the usual Clarence "Bad Boy" Palmer and the Jive Bombers. Due to "Bad Boy's" success, the Jive Bombers stayed on the club scene through the late 1960's (with the inevitable personnel changes) before calling it quits. They had only one single released in the sixties, "Anytime"/"Days Of Wine And Roses", for the Middle Tone label in late 1963. Clarence Palmer was a vocal performer for more than three decades. He had been singing "Bad Boy" for some twenty years before he was finally rewarded with a hit.  (Source:  This Is My Story, biographies, Collected by Dik de Heer for [Shakin_All_Over] http://www.rockabilly.nl/references/references.htm)

But I Thought Steve Had It
Summary:  The one where Darcy lent her beloved iPod to Steve with some pre-made play lists for him to work his way through.. and someone else ends up with her “Sweet Baby Jute” and finds more than just her music taste buried in her play lists. Pairings: Darcy x Bucky Word Count: 1454 Notes: fluff, music, mystery? flustered Bucky is adorbs,
“Huh. Never thought I’d see you with one of those things.” Bucky said, riffling through the fridge for something to devour.
“Hmm?” Steve said, pulling the head phones off his head. “It’s not mine if that makes it any easier for you.”
“Really. Who would trust you with their own electronics?” Bucky’s curiosity rose. “Please tell me it was Stark. If so, I’m deleting everything on it before you give it back.” He chuckled lowly as he put a casserole dish in the oven.
“You know I wouldn't let you do that. And no. Stark and I are better now, but I don’t think he’ll ever trust me with his ‘toys’. It’s Darcy’s. She put a few play lists on here for me to catch up on the music I've missed over the years and to find some new favorites.” He said, holding up the sleek simple black iPod as evidence. If it was Tony’s it would have been much more stylish and showy.
“So what does the buxom brunette have on there then?”
“She has them by decade and she told me to listen to them in order, so that it will ‘make the most sense’ to me. I think she means well. She’s nicer about it than any of the others. Makes it seem like I just hated music for a while instead of being frozen.”
“Hmm. You sweet on her or something, punk?” Bucky questioned, raising an eyebrow at Steve’s fiddling with the cords of the head phones.
“No. I’m not..I ..No.” A shadow fell over Steve’s face, telling Bucky exactly what he couldn't say; that part of him was still hung up on Peggy.
“Steve, relax. It’s just music.”
“You want to look it over? I think I’m done for the day.” He left the iPod on the kitchen table and walked to his room.
“You don’t think she’d mind?” Bucky called after him.
“No. I don’t.” Steve yelled back. “Besides. It’s just music.”
Bucky stared down the iPod for a moment or so. Or at least longer than he cared to admit. Steve had been gone and wouldn't be home for another three days on account of a mission; which is why he left the iPod in its current location on the coffee table. Slowly, he picked it up and started flicking through the play lists specifically set up for Steve and his music ‘needs.’ They were titled in an obvious way that even Steve would know they were meant for him:
“Steeeeve! 50’s Jazz” “Steeeeve! 60’s Pop” “Steeeeve! 70’s Rock” “Steeeeve! 80’s Glam” “Steeeeve! 90’s Grunge and Pop” “Steeeeve! Most Modern Hits and Misses; You’re almost there”
He started listening to the 50’s Jazz that day and immediately fell in love with the sound. It was an easy transition from what he remembered listening to back in the 40’s, before the war, before his fall. The rest of the evening was spent with that play list on repeat.
Throughout Steve’s absence, Bucky burned through the remaining play lists. The more he heard, the more he craved to explore. She had managed to select the most enticing music in each decade; the good, the bad, the iconic, and the lesser known novelties. He was infatuated with what he heard, so naturally, he deviated from the specifically Steve made play lists to all play lists; anything was now game in his hunger. He found the play list for when she was sad, when she needed motivation, when she was tired, when she was stressed, when she was working out, and one that downright confused him at first. It had older songs from Jo Stafford and Ella Fitzgerald to more modern hits like Guns N Roses, Goo Goo Dolls, and Kito Reija Lee. The play list title: “Y.L.S.” He found that he loved almost every song in its inventory. Each one stirring an emotion he long thought dead. Emotions of love, love loss, hope, and even.. glee? How had this selection of music moved him in such a ground shaking, mind blowing way? It was just music. Mood altering, emotion, and thought provoking music, thrown together by a friend that he always wished to be closer to.
Although he adored this play list above the others, Darcy’s use of abbreviations drove him mad. It was the only play list to feature abbreviations. He took it as his mission to figure it out.
“Y. L. S… Y. L. S…” He muttered the title to himself trying to discern its meaning without asking Darcy flat out what it meant. After all, she had leant it to Steve for "educational purposes"; there was no reason for him to know about the play list or its cryptic title.
“Yale Law School? No, that doesn't make any sense. Youth Leadership S… No. Your Loud.. Your Little Sister? What? She doesn't have a sister. Yankee Likes.. No. Your Life Study? Hmm.. Your Level of Service? Ugg.”
His guesses weren't making any sense. Bucky had seen a lot, so random words bunched together usually meant something specific. That he knew. Just what the meaning of it all was alluded him. He would have to ask Steve, tactically, tomorrow, when he got back.
Half way through a quiet lunch with Steve, Bucky’s curiosity got the better of him.
“Now that your back, has Darcy been bugging you about getting her Ipod back? It’s been a few weeks.”
“Surprisingly, no.” Steve said around a mouth full of sandwich. “Did it help you at all? In catching up on music?”
“It did, I was pleasantly surprised. She’s got good taste in music. Did you look at any of her other play lists?” Bucky asked, trying to be subtle.
“Not really, didn’t have time.”
Bucky mumbled a response before continuing to focus on his food while his mind raced.
Steve didn’t know. Great. But how could he? He’s too polite to rummage through anyone’s things unless he feels something is wrong. And there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with Darcy or her mysteriously named play list, that one would only find by snooping in the first place. The only thing that was of concern was the worry of curiosity that bit away at Bucky’s mind whenever he had a quiet moment.
A week later and still no word from Darcy other than to know if Steve was enjoying his musical revival. Bucky had taken, more often than not, to conveniently and casually being in the same room as Darcy whenever possible. His goal, observation and possible discernment of the now internally infamous “Y.L.S.”
Today, Darcy’s sitting and eating with Jane. Coffee, pop tarts, the usual. However, this time they aren’t talking. The two usually chatter away driving others to laughter with their quips and opinions. Today, it’s silent.
Wondering to himself if he’ll ever over hear anything that might give any insight to his latest obsession, Bucky gets up from the kitchen table to leave. As he does, Darcy’s Ipod falls from his jean’s pocket with a clatter. Jane lightly jumps but keeps her focus on her work in front of her. Darcy and Bucky’s eyes fall to the now exposed Ipod.
Bucky reaches for Darcy’s Ipod and hands it to her lamely, keeping his eyes cast down.
“Thanks, doll.”
“But I thought Steve had it.” Darcy’s confusion finding home in the wrinkle between her eye brows.
“Yeah. He lent it to me, too. Thought you wouldn’t mind.”
Ask her! Ask her! Ask herrr!! Screamed a voice in the back of Bucky’s mind, only quieting when Darcy looked up again, her face cracking into a smile.
“You Little Shit. You think you’re so sneaky. I would have found out that you had it eventually.”
“Y.L.S. You? Little? Shit?”
“How-“
Bucky starts to chuckle as the other instances Darcy has called him a little shit come flooding to the front of his mind. It was for him. And, oh how he was grateful for this reveal. The emotions the various songs brought forth from him while he listened to them should have told him all along. His amusement forms into a wicked smirk shot directly at Darcy, making her turn a few shades of pink, blinking hard.
“Would you like to go to dinner with me, tonight?”
“Um, yeah,” Darcy squeaked quietly, nodding her head with a huge smile on her now red face.
“Good, I’ll pick you up at 7,” he said as he started walking toward the door. “And maybe after you can show me some more of your favorite music.” He added with a turn of his head and a wink as he left, leaving Darcy standing in shock in the kitchen.

The Official Score for VAMPIRES (listen here)
(Track list AND MORE under cut)
I. T H E  B E A U M A N O I R S
Theme;; Bandersnatched- Danny Elfman || I chose this because I liked the royal/medieval vibe at the beginning because it related back to Isadora and Adelise’s roots. When the song switches from violent to softer, I imagine that as Juliet sort of coming into the picture, and that little tune fits her perfectly because its soft but mystical. And then it gets like violent again bc these bitches ready to fight.
Isadora;; In The Hall of The Mountain King- Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross || Reasoning: It’s a classic, ballet tune with a sinister, ready-to-fight twist and I mean come on, that’s Isa.
Adelise;; The Darklands- Daniel Pemberton || LISTEN TO HOW IT STARTS, IT COULD SO EASILY BE A ROCK SONG AND THAT SCEAMING NOISE THING, TELL ME THATS NOT ADI + PLUS IT SOUNDS SORT OF ROYAL-Y
Juliet;; Astral Doom- Michael Giacchino || The track is like mystical and also sort of scary but also incredibly pretty and thats just Juliet, plain as day
War Song;; The Devil and The Daughter- Daniel Pemberton || It’s royally, it’s dark, it’s agressive and it’s how these bitches are coming out to play, like Vanessa thinks she’s great but like these bitches are fucking duchesses and they had public execution and they just brought another bad ass in, lets fucking go
II. T H E  V A U S E E N S
Theme;; The Beast- Jóhann Jóhannsson || Is this whole group not the literal beast of the world? And plus it sounds sort of like a siren, like one you hear in the tornado warnings, and these fucking babes better come with a warning
Vanessa;; The Red Caps Are Coming- Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL || You know in the old time-y movies where the villain has the big sinister piano music? Yeah, this the modern equivalent. And Vanessa is the old time, sophisticated, classical-music listening, villainous mastermind.
Ella;; Redemption at The Roulette Table- Nicholas Britell || It’s softly sinister in a way you just can’t put your finger on. And that’s Ella. Without knowledge of Vanessa, she seems like a nice girl but something is just... off.
Viktorya;; Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy (Trap Remix)- Tchaikovsky || Come on, I had to. Viktorya is a russian little immortal stuck in a 13 year old body, and in some ways, mind. So like, this is her roots and also the pre-teen in her.
War Song;; Terminator Salvation Theme- Danny Elfman || Soft and sinister. Seems to be there thing, right?
III. T H E  G R A N T S
Theme;; One Bullet is All I Need- Steven Price || It has the fast pace cello (i think) underneath it and yet that higher mystical tone which is fitting considering two people o  this team have powers. It also sounds vaguely sad, like a fighting for your life thing, and we all know these are the ones who can die the most easily.
Sarafine;; Maximum Effort- Junkie XL || Honestly, it sort of reminds me of a hip hop song or a disco song and that’s just so Sara
Andrea;; Ge Get Em- James Newton Howard || Andrea is going into this fight without powers or immortality, prob just a wooden bullet gun and a stake cross bow and she’s just here to kick some ass without any fear or reservations, i fucking love this girl.
Alexandria:; Are We Having a Party?- Cliff Martinez || This might be the only one I chose more for the title than the song bc oh my god, you know Alexandria has not been here the whole time, she’s been scoffing at all this shit until it actually comes down to fight and then shes like sigh i have to go help. And so this bitch rolls up late in a fucking rolls royce, white tennis outfit, and hair all pulled back and she steps out and prob literally says “Are We Having A Party?” and Andrea looks at her like “the fuck are you doing? this is dumb, you’re going to get kill” and then we find out alexandria has ice powers, wow that was long
War Song;; Shoot Anything That Moves- Atli Ovarsson || These girls are working on nothing except what they’ve seen in action movies so it’s fitting that they have an action movie song. Plus they’re all working with shooting: fireballs, stakes and icicles
IV. T H E  F I N A L  F I G H T
End Credits- Junkie XL || JUST LISTEN AND YOU’LL KNOW WHY
V. A N D  T H E  W I N N E R I S...
Can You See Jane?- Patrick Doyle || Soft and hopeful and sad and sweet... perfect for this. there’s so much triumph for the winner but hey, we all know people died, most likely including people they loved.

This got way longer than I expected it to (then again, I’ve been adding to it literally for months so...); under a cut it goes!
So, I really think we should go back with this pairing and I was thinking we can start with, which songs make you think about Thorin, Thranduil and the Thorinduil pairing?
