Foe of the Guide (multi-chapter Clierra fic)
Sierra Rossi's parents died in front of her because of Giovanni Pasini and his family's invention, the Guide. Oppressed by years by corruption and greed, she comes of age to fight against those who have wronged the world she lives in. She just didn't expect to fall in love along the way.
Chapter Twelve: I Like Him?
The tour had moved to inside the building.
Sierra follows Cliff, looking around the Pasini Enterprises building. It felt like the compound was never going to end. Who needed a building this big?
Nevertheless, she takes note of the exits, important rooms, anything that looked like it could help her shut this place down for good.
She also couldn't help but eye Cliff's ass as he walks. Was it always that pert?
Kaito's eyes blink, meaning the camera was taking pictures. Sierra smirks, reminding herself to praise Blanche later.
"And this is the IT department!" Cliff smiles as he does a knock on the door. He gets a knock in return before the door opens. Sierra sees a short man with goggles and red and black hair open the door and smirk at Cliff.
"Hey big guy." The man says, fist bumping Cliff.
"Hey Ar!" Cliff grins at the shorter man. He then puts an arm around Sierra, which made the Butterfree in her stomach return. "This is Sierra, one of our new guards. Sierra, This is Arlo Steele, one of the best of the best in our IT!"
"Nice to meet you." Arlo says, putting his hand out for Sierra.
"Likewise." Sierra smiles, shaking Arlo's hand.
"Cliff here is like my best friend, you'll like him." Arlo nods.
"Aww, Arlo you flatterer." Cliff laughs. Sierra can't help but want to hear his laugh more. It was like velvet to her ears.
"Well, I better get back to it. Boss will kill me if he finds out I slacked. See you later guys." Arlo shoots them one more smile before he closes the door.
"Bye!" Cliff calls out. "Come on, we'll go to the training field."
"Training field?" Sierra asks.
"Where we train our pokemon, sharpen their skills so they don't get soft." Cliff explains.
With that, Sierra is taken to a large field with grass and trees. It was enough to fit two football fields in. Several grunts were training their pokemon solo or battling.
Sierra decides to ask Cliff a question. "Has...Callum ever trained here?"
"You kidding? He's gotten so many victories here, it's ridiculous!" Cliff smirks. It's kind of sexy to Sierra the way he smirks.
"Maybe we can spar sometime after my training." Sierra offers.
"I'd like that." Cliff smiles softly at her.
The way his eyes look when he was gentle. There was something about it to Sierra.
"You'll like him." Arlo's words echo in her head.
"I...think I do?" The brunette thinks.

Sierra: ...No? Why?
Cliff: Cause you’ve been running through my mind all day.
Sierra: ........Babe, we’re literally dating!
Cliff: I know, that’s why I had this new shirt made. Know what it’s made of?
Sierra: ....What.
Cliff: Boyfriend material. *grin*
Sierra: *rolls eyes* You big dork. Get over here. *xoxo*

Is it weird that when I saw that amazing picture you did, I get Clierra vibes from seeing them stand near each other? Maybe I'm just that obsessed with them lmao. I love your art, keep up the amazing work!
aisfgauifhs that was kinda, sorta, might've been done on purpose!? :D AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR KIND WORDS!! TAT <33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
Tumblr media
So here's the story behind it huehueheu :'D
I originally wanted a composition where Giovanni was right next to Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo. Kinda how Professor Willow, even though he was done small, is right next to Blanche, Candela, and Spark
Tumblr media
I originally wanted them together with their "boss", however, that didn't go well when trying to do the Rocket Leaders in a single frame.
So the next idea was to have Arlo in a frame with Mewtwo, Giovanni's prized Pokémon, since Arlo is the main reason why Team Rocket has Shadow Pokémon and I headcanon assume Giovanni holds him to high regards because of that.
Tumblr media
Then that would leave just Sierra and Cliff to be together as they're meant to be LOL in a single frame but that idea worked since I always saw them as "out in the field" type of work? And of course those amazing stories you write, I can no longer see them not together :'D <3333
Tumblr media
sorry if this sounded like your typical high school teacher and "the reasons why the door is red" type of vibes xD I've had 2hrs of sleep and brrrrrr

Cliff and Sierra in their bedroom at night
Cliff, hearing something hitting against a window in another room: Sierra, wake up, I think someone's trying to break in!
Sierra, tired: It's just Arlo, that's how he gets into the house.
Arlo, opening the door to the bedroom: Someone's at the window. They're trying to break in.

For of the Guide (Clierra multi-chapter fic)
Sierra Rossi's parents died in front of her because of Giovanni Pasini and his family's invention, the Guide. Oppressed by years by corruption and greed, she comes of age to fight against those who have wronged the world she lives in. She just didn't expect to fall in love along the way.
Chapter Eleven: First Day.
Sierra growls as she pulls at her new uniform. "This fabric is too tight! Giovanni rules the world but can't afford better fitting uniforms?!"
"What do you expect, rich people are cheap, which is funny when you think about it." Spark replies. "All the money in the world and they still don't wanna spend it."
Sierra rolls her eyes, growling as she pulls at the shirt once more. "I feel like my chest is being crushed..."
"I don't think Cliff will complain." Candela laughs.
Heat fills Sierra's cheeks at the mention of Cliff. She glares, shoving the Butterfree in her stomach down. "Look, just study whatever was on Giovanni's computer while I work."
"No need to worry about that, Blanche is on the case." Candela replies.
Sierra nods. "Good, report everything you find, down to the last deta-"
"Sierra!"
Sierra whirls around at the familiar voice and sees Cliff running up to her. The Butterfree return full force as he stops in front of her, panting lightly with a smile.
"Ready for your first day?" He asks.
"Yes but...what are you doing here?" She asks. "I thought the person training me was coming."
"You're looking at him." Cliff points at himself with his thumb.
"Oooooh!" Candela and Spark said loudly.
Sierra blinks, processing. "O-Oh. Okay." She says. "Pleased to be your partner."
"For now." She thinks. The thought of him finding out what she was really after broke her heart. "Strange, why do I care what he thinks?"
"Well, let's go." Cliff makes a gesture for her to follow with his arm. "I'll show you where you'll be patrolling today."
Sierra nods, following the burly man obediently. She looks at him as they walk.
"Today, our main focus is Hazelnut Avenue and Star Street..." His voice fades out as she studies him
Those bulging arm muscles that could easily pin her to the wall and bruise, but were gentle and caring.
Suddenly, she found herself wanting to be in said arms, kissing him.
"Sierra? Sierra!" Spark calls out, snapping her out of it.
"W-What?" She asks out loud without meaning to.
"Hmm? Oh, I was just saying sometimes you'll have to use your baton for really rowdy people." Cliff replies nonchalantly, whipping his own baton out and twirling it. "I don't like to, but I've had to."
Sierra studies the weapon, wondering how many concussions that it caused.
"You okay?" She hears Candela ask. "You like, spaced out."
"That's because she was checking Cliff out." Spark teased. "I've given that look to Blanche before."
Sierra shoots a glare at Kaito, sending the message silently. Then looks back to Cliff.
She starts feeling doubts about this job.

Chapter Ten: Interview
Sierra's stomach has never felt so tight before.
She shivers as she stares up at the skyscraper of Pasini Enterprises. Her neck almost aches as she arches it to look at the top.
"Sierra, you don't have to do this." Candela says through her mic. "This is going a bit far-"
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Sierra says, making sure Kaito is near. "We'll be rid of him soon."
"I'll make sure Kaito sees everything Giovanni has open on his computer." Blanche assures Sierra. "Maybe we'll even find something out about how to shut Guide down."
"Maybe not right away." Sierra replies. "But hopefully soon-"
"Sierra?"
The brunette whirls around at the familiar voice and sees Cliff behind her. She blinks. "Cliff?"
"Oh look, it's Sierra's rescuer." Spark teases.
"What are you doing here?" Cliff asks, smiling at her. "Checking out the view?"
"Err...something like that." Sierra says, rubbing the back of her neck nervously, trying to ignore the stirring in her chest. "I'm...here for an interview as a guard."
Cliff freezes for a moment. She was...?
Oh.
OH.
Cliff's smile turns into a beaming grin. He claps his hands together once to show his excitement. "Oh my legendries, that's amazing!" He says, pure excitement in his voice. "Oh man, I'll put in a good word for you, I'll make sure you get in!"
Sierra forces a smile, wishing Cliff wasn't this excited. She felt bad, getting his hopes up like this. "Thanks."
That's when he notices Kaito flying beside her. "You're...bringing Kaito?"
"Is it not allowed?" Sierra asks, now nervous that the plan could backfire. "He's kinda my support Pokemon."
"Well..." Ciff thinks, he never heard of a rule saying an applicant couldn't bring in a pokemon. Why is this any different? "I don't see why you can't."
Sierra lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank Darkrai."
"Here, I'll walk you in!" Cliff says, putting an arm around her shoulders.
Heat fills Sierra's cheeks and ears at the contact.
"Uh, that's okay-"
"No, I'm boss's top guy, it'd be rude of me not to!" Cliff replies, walking with Sierra.
"Wow, personal escort already!" Candela laughs. "I swear if he's your partner after-"
Sierra glares at Kaito to send her message across.
"...Sorry." Candela replies meekly.
Sierra's head spins after Cliff opens the large doors, revealing a grand lobby that looked like it better suited a five star hotel rather than a cruel business.
She froze as a Guide bot flew up to her and Cliff.
"Mr. Grossberg, who is this?" Guide asked. "A guest?"
"Actually she's here for an interview, Guide." Cliff smiles.
"I see, your name?" Guide asks Sierra, seeming to inspect ehr with an invisible eye.
Sierra gulps nervously. "Sierra Rossi."
Guide seems to gather information on the screen before a ding is heard. "I have found you, Sierra Rossi for 10:30 AM. You are five minutes early. That is a good sign."
"Thanks?" Sierra raises an eyebrow.
"That will be all. Thank you, Mr. Grossberg. Good luck, Ms. Rossi." and with that, Guide flew off.
Sierra breathes a silent sigh of relief. No matter how long it had been around, Guide still made her tense.
"Here, boss's office is on the top floor." Cliff walks Sierra over to the elevators.
"Of course it's on the top floor." Spark groans.
"It's only logical." Blanche replies. "He can oversee the city and be reminded that he rules it. He's a tyrant that way."
Cliff leads her and Kaito into an elevator large enough to fit at least 30 people in it. He presses the top button. It glows an eerie red, making a shiver run down Sierra's spine.
"Pretend to make small talk with Cliff, get info out of him." Candela urges Sierra.
Sierra looks at Cliff. "So uh...what's working here like?" She asks.
Cliff merely shrugs. "It's good, worth the pay he's giving us. We just need to make sure there's no trouble."
"And Giovanni? What's he like?" Sierra tries not to spit the name out like it was poison.
Cliff smiles at her. "He's the best. Always looks out for his workers. Only wants the best for his people."
The sound of Sierra's parents' screams ring in her ears.
"'The best?!'" Spark gasps. "What a load of Tauros-!"
Sierra shoots Kaito yet another glare, then turns back to Cliff. "And what about Guide? Does it bother you at all?"
Cliff raises an eyebrow. "Why would Guide bother me? It's only doing what boss says. The whole company relies on it. Without it, the city would fall apart."
"Can you believe this guy?!" Candela growls. "The city would be better off!"
The elevator dings and the door opens. The pair and Kaito step out onto the floor.
Sierra sees a pair of large doors at the end of the hall. She gulps as she eyes the large cursive 'GP's that decorate them.
"Come on." Cliff says softly, walking ahead. Sierra follows suit, making sure Kaito is near her side.
Cliff knocks on the door. Sierra's heart pounds as she hears a voice on the other side.
"Enter."
Cliff opens one of the doors, smiling and saluting the man in there. "Hello boss."
Sierra's breath hitches as she sees the man who was responsible for slaughtering people for so many years and getting away with it at a computer, a large Persian at his side. He smiles at the pair.
"Oh Cliff. And you are Ms. Rossi, I take it?" Giovanni asks.
The way he says her name makes her want to vomit.
"Yes sir, this is Sierra." Cliff smiles. "I have a good feeling about her."
"I'll be the judge of that." Giovanni replies, waving Cliff off. "You may go, thank you."
Cliff salutes him one more time before smiling softly at Sierra and walking out the door.
"Please, have a seat." Giovanni says, gesturing to the chairs in front of his desk.
Sierra walks slowly to the chairs, choosing the middle one to sit in.
"Babe now!" She hears Spark say.
Kaito suddenly flies over to Giovanni's desk, right beside him. His eyes quickly scan the screen.
"What in the-?!" Giovanni asks, scooting his chair back from the sudden intrusion.
"Kaito!" Sierra pretends to gasp, horrified. "Sir, I am SO sorry! He gets so curious about human technology, I don't know what got into him! Kaito, here, NOW."
Kaito looks dejected for a moment before flying back to Sierra's side and settling on the ground.
"I'm so sorry again." Sierra says.
Giovanni rolls his eyes. "Just...please keep your pokemon away form my work. And next time, recall him before you go to an interview."
"Noted." Sierra replies, internally grinning that she managed to annoy him.
"So, what brings you to apply for Pasini Enterprises?" He asks. "I see from your resume, you worked for Professor Willow for quite some time."
Sierra gulps. She wonders if he knew Willow was a student of Oak's. "I....I needed a change of pace, something new. I want to expand my skillset and I believe Pasini Enterprises can help me do that."
"I see." Giovanni mutters, jotting something down on his notebook. "What would you say is your biggest weakness?"
"Your temper." Spark laughs. "You have one hell of a temper."
Sierra growls quietly before clearing her throat. "I would have to be honest and say it's my temper. I get aggravated a little too easily if pushed enough."
Giovanni writes something else down. "I see. I'll have to remind you as a guard, you need to be patient before really getting angry at anyone."
"I understand." Sierra nods. That's not gonna stop me from being pissed at you, parent murderer.
"Another question, what drives you, Ms. Rossi? What really makes you want to succeed?" Giovanni asks.
Sierra freezes. All she can think about are her parents. Making her parents proud of who she is today. Avenging their deaths.
"I...I want to be honest and say my parents." She says. "You see...they died when I was five."
Giovanni gets a look of realization. Then he smiles at Sierra "So another parent driven worker. Cliff will like you."
"What?" Sierra asks.
"You're hired." Giovanni states simply. "You start Monday, your shift is 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Don't be late."
Sierra blinks before putting on a fake grin. "Oh thank you, thank you! You won't regret it!"
"I better not." Giovanni replies. "Have a nice day, Ms. Rossi."
Sierra shoots him one more fake grin before walking out with Kaito, she walks into the elevator and glares.
"'I better not.'" She mocks Giovanni. "Screw you and the Rapidash you rode in on..."
"Well, you got the job!" Candela grins. "We're gonna study what we saw on his computer and let you know what we find!"
"And take this place down once and for all." Blanche says.
Sierra nods, glaring in determination.
This had to work.

Chapter Nine: Apply
"Absolutely not!"
It was rare when Blanche raised their voice, but it was scary when they did. Sierra winced as their chair scraped when they stood up.
"Blanche-" She tried to calm the water trainer but her word fell on deaf ears.
"We can't have you risking the Golden Fighters!" Another trainer shouts. "What happens if you get caught?!"
Sierra glares slightly. "I won't get caught! I doubt Giovanni remembers-"
A flash of blood and her father's voice rings in her ears. "GO!"
The brunette winces but shakes it off. "Look, I've thought this through and I think it'll be the best way to get more dirt and info on him-"
A female trainer glares at Sierra suspiciously. "How do we know this is gonna work? Do you even know what you're doing?"
Sierra glares back at her. "Excuse me? I just said I thought this through! Our recent excursions haven't gotten us anywhere!"
"What about Blanche's drone?" The male trainer asks. "I thought there was progress on it."
"We can only get so much information on the drone!" Sierra snaps. "So far we haven't gotten anything on it, this is gonna make more progress than anything we've gotten!"
Sierra looks and sees the hurt look on Blanche's face. A pang of regret fills her. "Blanche, I didn't mean it like that. You did great work on it, but we-"
Blanche storms out of the room, Spark looking at Sierra conflictedly before following them.
Sierra sighs. "Please excuse me." She mumbles loud enough for the room to hear before walking out and leaving the group to their own thoughts.
-
She looks in the main room and sees Spark hugging Blanche from behind. Spark is rubbing their forearm with his thumb and whispering soothing things.
Blanche looks like they don't know whether to glare or to cry.
Sierra takes a quiet breath. "Blanche?"
Blanche looks at her and glares "Here I thought you said my drone was going to help the rebellion." They turn away. "I thought I was doing great things for the Golden Fighters."
"Blanche, you're doing amazing things!" Sierra replies, putting her hand on the silver haired trainer's shoulder, only for them to rebuff the touch.
"I guess we can just retire Kaito," Blanche snaps "since it's not going anywhere."
"Blanche..." Sierra sighs, rubbing her face. "Please let me make this up."
"May I intervene?" Spark raises his hand like a student in school.
Both trainers stare at him, Blanche looking perplexed at their boyfriend.
"What if we could get more this way?" Spark asks. "We told Cliff Kaito was your partner right?" He looks at Sierra.
That's when Sierra remembers. She nods.
"Then take Kaito to your interview, and we'll use him to look at Giovanni's computer, he'll be bound to have something on his screen he doesn't want anyone else seeing." Spark shrugs. "You can just tell Giovanni he's just a really curious pokemon."
Sierra blinks. Did Spark just come up with a plan that actually made sense?
"Dearest, that's...amazing." Blanche says, genuinely impressed.
"Thanks." Spark grins, then looks at Sierra. "You in or out?"
Sierra stares at him, then glares and gets her phone out. "I'll apply for an interview ASAP."

For of the Guide (Clierra milti-chapter fic)
Sierra Rossi's parents died in front of her because of Giovanni Pasini and his family's invention, the Guide. Oppressed by years by corruption and greed, she comes of age to fight against those who have wronged the world she lives in. She just didn't expect to fall in love along the way.
Chapter Eight: Home
Sierra literally felt the wind knocked out of her when she arrived home and Willow arms tightened around her like an Arbok with it's prey.
"Thank stars you're ok!" Willow gasped out. "Are you okay?! Where have you been?!"
"I'm fine, Will." Sierra gasps for breath as Willow lets her go. "I was at Cliff's-"
"Cliff's?!" Willow's jaw drops. "That guard you told me about?!"
"Yeah, there was a riot. Tear gas was deployed and he took me back to his apartment to take care of me."
"Tear gas?!" Wilow gasps. "What the heck was the riot for?!"
Sierra winces, knowing the blow was not going to be gentle. She grips Willow's hands to try and soften it. "Will...Oak was arrested for conspiracy against the Pasinis."
The silence was almost deafening. You could hear the tiniest pin hit the floor.
"O-Oak...?" Willow whispers. "As in...Professor Oak, my mentor who taught me everything there is to know about pokemon?"
Sierra nods somberly. "They had a drone follow him home and they saw him planning. Giovanni oversaw his arrest personally."
Willow didn't move a muscle, his face unusually blank. It almost scared Sierra, who had never seen the usually cheery man like this.
She isn't sure what to say or do.
Finally Willow sucks in a gasp, and nearly falls to his knees. Sierra catches him before he can hit the ground supporting his weight all she could. She hears sobs coming from him and feels horrible.
"He was supposed to be careful!" The white haired man cries. "Didn't he know to watch over his shoulder or keep his blinds shut?! Damn it, damn it damn it!"
Sierra hugs Willow, letting him sob into her shoulder, not caring that he got her shirt wet with his tears.
She tries to think. There's got to be something she can do. Anything.
That's when it hits her.
"I'll work for Pasini Enterprises."
Willows sobs subside into sniffles as he looks up at her with wide eyes. "W...What?" He asks.
"Cliff can help me get a job there. I can get more info this way. And see if there's anything I can do to free Oak and anyone else who's trapped in that stars-awful place." Sierra glares in determination. "I'll end this, just as I'm supposed to."
Willow blinks and lets out a deep sigh.
"You're your daddy's girl alright..." He mutters, then wipes his eyes and gives her the same determined look. "You better be careful in there. Take Kaito with you."
Sierra simply nods.

Foe of the Guide (multichapter Clierra fic)
Sierra Rossi's parents died in front of her because of Giovanni Pasini and his family's invention, the Guide. Oppressed by years by corruption and greed, she comes of age to fight against those who have wronged the world she lives in. She just didn't expect to fall in love along the way.
Chapter Seven: Heal
Sierra winced as the cold, wet rag met her face one more.
"It's okay, I've got you." Cliff said gently.
Sierra opened her eyes and immediately they stung and watered. Her vision was blurry. She hissed and shut her eyes once more.
"Don't open them yet." Cliff said, dipping the rag in the ice water once more and wring the excess out. He pressed it to her eyes to soothe them.
"Where are we?" Sierra asked. "This isn't my apartment."
"I took you to mine." Cliff responded. "It's close by for work."
"So he lives close to Pasini Enterprises." She thought. She could use that to her advantage along the way.
She felt slightly guilty for even thinking about taking advantage of Cliff and his kindness. But she needed to. It was the only way.
Wasn't it?
"Can I open my eyes now?" The brunette asked.
"Try it and see how you feel." Cliff said, putting the rag back into the water.
Sierra opened her eyes once more. Her vision swam before she blinked the water away, and cleared at last.
"Thank stars." She muttered.
She took the chance to look around his apartment. It was cozy. Rich wooden walls, a nice clean floor, a loveseat, a recliner and a tv in his living room. That's when she noticed a large bed by the recliner and a large green pokemon on it, leering at her.
Sierra jumped at the sight. "Y-You have...?" She asked.
"Oh! Sorry." Cliff chuckled. "That's Callum, my Tyranitar. He's usually really nice after he gets to know you." He reached over and scratched the pokemon's chin. "Isn't that right, boy?"
Callum leaned into his master's touch and purred, closing his eyes contently.
"Fuck, if he ever finds out about my real plans, that thing will rip me to shreds." Sierra thought. The thought of being in that lizard's mouth and it's fangs chewing through her flesh gave her shivers.
"Are your eyes adjusting okay? I know how hard it is to see after tear gas." Cliff said, gently holding Sierra's cheek and tilting it.
Sierra felt Butterfree at his touch and how soft his skin was. Brushing it off, she nodded. "I'm fine. Thank you."
Cliff nods, relief in his eyes and smile. "Good. You want water or anything?"
"No!" Sierra bit her cheek at how loud and quick that was. "I mean...no, I've taken enough of your time and kindness. I should go."
"Want me to walk you home?" Cliff offered. "It's dark out now."
Sierra looked out his window. Cliff was right. The stars and moon were lighting up the sky. It was the time where anything could happen if one was not careful enough.
"I-I'll be fine." Sierra said. "I know self defense, no one would dare mess with me. Thank you again, I really appreciate your help."
That and she didn't need Cliff or Giovanni knowing where she lived.
Cliff nodded. "Have a good night, Sierra. I'll be there if you need me again."
Sierra shot him an unsure smile before walking out the door, closing it behind her.
She walked out of the building and leaned against the wall nearby, She slid down it and groaned.
A whirring sound got her attention. She looked up and gasped as she saw Kaito flying in front of her. "Oh shit!" She yelped before pressing her earring mic. "Guys?!"
"Sierra!" Spark gasped. "We've been trying to reach you for hours!"
"I'm so sorry!" Sierra responded, putting a hand in her hair. "Cliff must have turned my mic off after he saved me-"
"Saved you?" Blanche asked. "Why would a guard save a civilian?"
"I don't know, but I'm fine now, thanks to him." Sierra sighed. "I'll be heading over soon and I'll answer all the questions then."
"Alright, Willow will be relieved. He's been on freakout level for the last few hours." Candela said.
Sierra winced. She was so dead when she got home.
"Tell him I'll be there in twenty." She said.
"Got it, see you then!" Spark said, as Kaito flew away.
Sierra looked up at the sky. Why did Cliff save her? Was it out of genuine kindness or did he have a motivation?
"Maybe it's best not to think about it." She thought aloud to herself. "Time to head home and face the music."

Foe of the Guide (Clierra Multichapter fic)
Sierra Rossi's parents died in front of her because of Giovanni Pasini and his family's invention, the Guide. Oppressed by years by corruption and greed, she comes of age to fight against those who have wronged the world she lives in. She just didn't expect to fall in love along the way.
Chapter Six: Riot
Sierra walks through the town square once again, eyeing for anyone that might see Kaito and get suspicious.
"So today's the day?" Sierra mutters loud enough for her mic to pic up.
"Yup! You just need to walk by Giovanni's office for Kaito to fly near and we can find his office that way." Spark replied, excitement obvious in his tone.
"We should get a good amount of info if he's using his computer." Blanche says.
"What if someone suspects me?" Sierra asks. "They'll wonder what I'm doing near Pasini Enterprises."
"It has that huge, overbuilt fence in front of it." Candela waves her off. "You're just another citizen walking in front of it."
Sierra shrugs, deciding to heed the word of the fiery trainer. Candela was right, dozens of citizens walked in front of that cursed building, either to glare at it as they passed or stare in awe for the fools who genuinely believed the Pasinis were saving them.
She walks a few blocks down and there it is.
The Pasini Enterprises building was by far the tallest building in the city, with drones flying to it then flying away once Giovanni watched all the incidents that they recorded that day. It felt as though you had to crane your neck in a painful way just to look at the top building.
Sierra swore she would cheer when they were to tear it down one day.
"Sierra, look!" Candela gasps as she points Kaito forward.
Sierra gasps inaudibly as she sees a whole crowd in front of Pasini Enterprise's fence, yelling and holding up signs that read "DOWN WITH PASINI", "GIOVANNI GO TO HELL", among other things.
Two officers guarded the main gate while other officers pushed the advancing crowd back.
"You Grumpigs deserve whatever he throws at ya!" An elderly man spat at them, saliva flying from his lips as he spoke. "I hope you all rot!"
"What the heck happened here?" Spark asks.
"I-I don't know, let's find out." Sierra hisses, running to the crowd. She puts her hand on an older woman's shoulder.
"What's going on?" The brunette asks.
"That bastard's gone too far, that's what!" The woman snaps. "He jailed Professor Oak for conspiracy to stop this bullshit business!"
"Professor Oak?!" Blanche gasps. "Willow's mentor!"
Sierra gasps herself, horrified that the sweet old man was jailed. "H-How did he...?" She manages to get out.
"One of those stars damned drones followed him when he walked to his office late one night and saw from the window what Oak was planning!" The woman growls. "It's total Tauros-crap! That man is adored by the community! Whatthe hell ever happened to freedom of speech?!"
"We lost it when the Pasinis got greedy." Sierra thought bitterly. She felt her own anger building up, Oak was kind to her when Willow brought her to visit him. He always asked her how she was doing and offering her snacks and tea if she was hungry, telling her her parents must be so proud in the Eternal Ground*.
Kaito watched her glare grow angrier and she clenched her fists so tight that if she wasn't wearing her gloves, her palms would bleed.
"Sierra, I know you're angry, stars knows we are too but you need to keep calm." Blanche says "Don't draw attention to yourself."
Sierra tried to take deep breaths, trying to soothe herself.
Just then, one of the officers threw a can into the crowd, near Sierra's feet.
"SHIT, TEAR GAS!" A man yelled. "RUN, EVERYONE!!"
Screams erupted through the crowd as they all scrambled to get away as a cloud of liquid sprayed from the can. Some were already coughing and grabbing at their eyes as they ran, screaming in agony.
Sierra coughed hard, her vision now blurry and her eyes feeling a burning she had never felt before.
"Fuck!" She screamed, stumbling and reaching one hand out to feel her surroundings, the other holding her eyes. "THIS FUCKING HURTS!"
"Sierra"! Blanche gasped. "S-Stay right where you are, we'll come get you-!"
That's when it happened. She felt someone grab her hand.
"What the fuck?!" She gasped.
"Don't worry, it's me, I got you!" A familiar deep voice hissed.
"C-Cliff?!" She coughs as Cliff gently pulls her to him.
"Cliff? That guard you know?" Spark asks.
Sierra opts to ignore him, letting Cliff guide her. "W-Where are we going?!"
"To the nearest Pokecenter down the road!" Cliff says. "Just stay with me, you'll be fine!"
Sierra feels her head spinning, trying to blame the tear gas rather than the fact Cliff is holding her so tight to him.

Foe of the Guide (Clierra multichapter fanfic)
Sierra Rossi's parents died in front of her because of Giovanni Pasini and his family's invention, the Guide. Oppressed by years by corruption and greed, she comes of age to fight against those who have wronged the world she lives in. She just didn't expect to fall in love along the way.
Chapter Five: Feelings
She watches her parents kiss before her father leaves to check on the newest plans back at the base. She blinks as her mother goes to the sink and cleans up the reminders of breakfast.
"Mama?" She asks in a squeaky voice.
"Yes, baby?" her mother asks.
"How did you and daddy fall in love?" Curiosity sparkles her gray eyes.
Her mother smiles at her. "When daddy met mama, a mean man had bumped into me and knocked my work papers out of my hand."
Sierra's little jaw dropped. "That's mean!" She exclaimed.
"I know. Your father had seen me and helped me clean up my papers. That's when he asked for my phone number." Her mother said, scrubbing left over eggs from the frying pan.
"Did you call him?" Sierra asked.
"Yes, he asked me to meet him for coffee, then nine months later he asked me to marry him and along came you, our little treasure."
Sierra grinned. "Will I fall in love one day, mommy?"
"You could, when you're older." Her mother smiles, rinsing off the pan and setting it in the drying rack. "Maybe you'll even get married."
"Really?!" Sierra squealed.
Her mother chuckles, drying her hands before walking over and scooping the four year old up. "I believe in it, sugar cube. But it isn't always easy." Her mother's smile falls and turns into a stern glare. "You're failing us, Sierra."
Sierra snaps up with a gasp, heart pounding.
She remember that conversation she had with her mother like yesterday, but it had never ended like that.
Her mind goes back to Cliff. She hopes she doesn't see him today.
A small part of her hopes she will.
Dexel wakes at his owner's stretches. He yips and climbs over her to lick her face. She laughs.
"Okay okay, down. I'll get your breakfast and let you out." the brunette pets him.
Dexel jumps down obediently, tail wagging as Sierra gets her slippers on and trudges towards her kitchen. True to her word, she fills Dexel's bowl with food and prepares her coffee while he munches. She sighs as she reflects on her mother's words.
"I'm not failing you if I'm not falling in love." She says to herself. "I won't fail, I promise."
"It's not love," She thinks to herself. "it's...a mild fascination at best."
A knock on her door interrupts her thoughts. Already knowing who it is, she walks over and opens it. "Willow."
"Morning Sierra, sorry to come so early." Willow rubs the back of his neck.
Sierra shakes her head. "It's fine. Coffee?" She offers, gesturing to the fresh pot she just brewed.
Willow nods. "Yes please."
At Sierra's approval, he helps himself to a mug with just a little cream and sugar. They sit on her couch, facing each other.
"So how did it go with Kaito yesterday?" He asks.
"It went well." Sierra nods. "We got seen by a guard but Kaito was believable enough."
"A guard named Cliff?" Willow asks coolly, sipping his coffee.
Sierra freezes. How did he...?
"Spark told me." Willow says, answering her question. "How long have you known him? And why didn't you tell me you knew a guard of all people?"
Sierra glares, making a mental note to throttle Spark later. "I don't know him!" Sierra snaps. "I accidentally bumped into him one day and I guess he remembers me because now he acts like we're best buds!"
"Are you?" Willow asks, cocking an eyebrow.
"No!" Sierra scoffs. "I didn't tell you because I didn't think it mattered. He's just a stupid guard, what's the big deal?"
"Maybe we could use that 'stupid guard' to our advantage." Willow said.
Sierra blinks, processing. "What?" She asks.
"I know, I know, it's bad but...maybe we could use his knowledge of Guide to give us a chance to shut it down. We could finally be free and you probably wouldn't have to see him again after." Willow replies.
Sierra bites her lip. She's never taken advantage of anyone before. It didn't feel right.
But the need to succeed her parents takes over.
"Okay." Sierra says. "What do I need to do?"
The guilt in her gut is churning and making her feel sick.

Chapter Four: Almost Caught
Sierra walked in the city, trying not to make it too obvious she was watching the drone that flew over head like a wild Yanma.
"So far so good." She whispered.
"The visuals are so clear." Spark said in awe in the earpiece Sierra wore. "You did great, babe."
"Thank you, Spark." Blanche replied. Sierra smiled, she knew Blanche would be blushing lightly at his compliment.
"Just keep casual, Sierra, everything's been smooth sailing so far." Willow said.
"I'm trying, I just hope no one wonders why I'm wandering aimlessly and watching a Yanma." Sierra replied, eyeing her surroundings to make sure no one looked at her funny.
"Just say it's your buddy pokemon, stick to the plan." Candela said.
"Yeah yeah, got it." Sierra said, rolling her eyes. "What's it's name again, Blanche?"
"Kaito, it's Japanese and means fly, ocean, soar-"
"Yeah, Kaito, got it." Sierra interrupted, earning a scoff from the white haired genius.
Sierra watched Kaito fly around, tilting it's head now and then. It looked a little too stiff to be realistic, but other than that, it looked believable.
"Hey, Sierra!"
Sierra froze as her name was called, causing Kaito to stop midflight. She turns and sees Cliff running up to her.
"Hey again!" He grins at her. "Where you off to today?"
Sierra feels Butterfree in her stomach as he smiles at her. She pushed them down in favor of clearing her throat. "Cliff, nice to see you again."
"You know a guard?" Candela gasps. "Why didn't you tell us?!"
Sierra bites her lip to refrain from telling Candela to shut her mouth. "I was just on a walk, no point in staying in when it's so nice."
"Oh, definitely." Cliff smiles. "Take advantage of the sunshine. Oh who's this?" He looks over her shoulder.
"What?" Sierra asks, before whirling around and jumping at the sight of the Yanma drone behind her. "OH!" She yelps. "Oh sorry, this is uh...Kaito. My Yanma." She forces a smile.
"Kaito huh? He's cute!" Cliff grins, reaching to pet him.
Panic overtaking her, she grabs his hand. "DON'T!" She squeals.
"I've never heard your voice go that high." Blanche says, amused. Sierra quietly growls.
Seeing Cliff's confused face, Sierra blinks back into reality. She's still holding Cliff's hand. "I...I mean, don't...his previous trainer was an awful man who mistreated him badly and I rescued him a year ago. He's been afraid of men touching him ever since."
"Oh, sorry." Cliff apologized, pulling his hand away.
Sierra couldn't figure out why she didn't want him to.
"I-It's fine, you didn't know." Sierra says, trying to steady her breath and pounding heart. "I'm trying to get him over it though, I think he'll be fine in the future."
Cliff nods, before an alert on his watch goes off. "Shoot, fight on Primeape Avenue. Gotta go, have a good day Sierra!" and with that, Cliff zooms off.
"Y-You too." Sierra says a little too quietly, holding the hand that help Cliff's.
She watches him run, admiring his firm ass.
"You like him don't you?" Spark teases, the Yanma's eyes now aimed at her.
Sierra glares at it with a flustered blush. "Shut up, Spark!"
