In 2017 I bought a pound of Super Sculpey because I'd never done clay modelling before and I fancied it. It took eight years to actually get it out of the cupboard and give it a try, but better late than never!
Painted with standard acrylic paints, then finished with some metallic acrylics for that dragony sheen.

Ok so beside that I guess it kinda goes like this (tips and tricks ONLY work for DAS clay, I havent used anythin else)
Spend money to buy cheap wire, primer spray paint, painting brush and spray finish (Gloss or Matte) PRIMER SPRAY PAINT SAVED MY LIFE I REPEAT PRIMER SPRAY P-
BE VERY PATIENT. The clay needs time to dry, so just make extremely bad clay blocking and let it to dry overnight to hold its form/weight, then add details after.
'I want it to look smooth', yes, I feel you too. The key is to let it VERY dry and then gently sand it with sandpaper/nail file, or use water to gently 'wet sand' its surface and let dry again. (Trust me it's way easier to handle DAS when it's mostly dry.)
Make a... uh. I don't know what the term is, but keep diluted DAS in a tiny container. You gotta let it mix with water and let it emulsify into a porridge-like consistency. This is your glue, and it will help you stick things together.
(Additionally, if you wanna smooth the ^^^'glue' out, you can use wet paintbrush to 'wipe' the excess 'glue' gently away)
For thin black lines, I use a Permanent Snowman Fine marker, because I am no god and my hold on the paintbrush is shaky at best.
I guess that's mostly it..? this is just a side hobby so idk how to explain it HAHA but i hope some of these help!

The first portfolio I created after passing out from the design college. It wasn't even close to being decent forget great but l think posting here is more about me having a place to look back to how far I have traveled than to showcase anything to the world. This must be close to 9 years old.
The Character Design project in the above post was part of a college assignment where we had to design a character using a classmate of ours as a reference in terms of either or both; looks and personality. I decided to take a friend of mine as a reference but decided to completely reverse his personality, that is, his being polite, decent, and trustworthy, I chose the complete opposite of these traits.
The various stages of character design including clay modeling, character poses, expressions, etc.
( I am putting this to recall why I made it the way I did )

Miniature Food Clock -Tiny Treats Tell Time: The Story of Mythris Gleams
Ever look at a boring clock and wish it was more fun? Well, get ready to be amazed! Today, we’re diving into the world of miniature food clock – clocks that look like delicious tiny meals!
A Yummy Idea is Born: 2012 and the First Food Clock!
Back in 2012, I had a cool idea. I love food and making crafts, so I wanted to combine them into something super special. That’s when the idea for a miniature food clock popped into my head!
The First in India: Making History with Tiny Food!
I knew this was a really neat idea, and guess what? I was the first person to ever make a miniature food clock in India! It was a really exciting time to be creative and come up with something totally new.
Over 500 Tiny Treats Telling Time!
Today, Mythris Gleams has made over 500 miniature food clocks, each one unique and delicious-looking! The best part? I can make them into any food you can imagine! Just show me a picture of your favorite meal, and I’ll turn it into a tiny clock for you.
Making Tiny Food Magic: The Secret Ingredients!
So, how do I make these yummy clocks? It’s all about using the right tools! I use special kinds of clay that dry out in the air or can be baked in an oven (with adult help for baking!). I also use glue and a special coat to make sure your tiny food stays beautiful for a long time.
From Open to Framed: Protecting Tiny Treats!
At first, my miniature food clocks were like little works of art, standing all alone. But then I realized something – dust bunnies! Those fluffy dust balls could damage all the tiny details on my food. So, I came up with the idea of a frame to keep them safe.
Finding the Perfect Frame: A Carpenter Challenge!
Making a frame for these special clocks wasn’t easy. Some carpenters I talked to weren’t sure how to make a frame for a clock that looked like food! But I didn’t give up. I drew a picture and measured everything out carefully, and finally, I found a carpenter who could make my dream frame!
The Birth of a Signature Piece: Framed Food Clocks!
Thanks to that amazing carpenter, Mythris Gleams now has framed miniature food clocks! They’re like little pieces of art that tell you the time, and they’re definitely our most special creation.
A Delicious Legacy: The Future of Tiny Food Clocks!
I’m so proud of Mythris Gleams and all the miniature food clocks we’ve made. It shows that when you have a cool idea and work hard, you can create something amazing! I can’t wait to see what yummy food clocks I’ll make next.
Want Your Own Tiny Treat Clock?
Do you love the idea of a miniature food clock telling time in your room? Head over to the Mythris Gleams website to see all the yummy clocks we have or even ask for a special one made just for you!
Let’s Talk Tiny Food Clocks!

Latest work in progress- very early stages. This video shows the piece roughed out and I’m beginning to get the key muscles in the right places. It takes a very long time, because every time you add some clay, or move the clay around, you need to adjust all the other elements. You can’t photoshop a piece of sculpture! Berkshire Sow

yes. Clay is supposed to be taller than Apollo. let's, um... just say that Apollo is standing on a small stack of books here, lmao.
Part of a series of redraws Ive done over they years, I have the older ones posted under the cut.

First was made July 2017, second was done September 2019, and the third was made January last year (2024).
I've finally made them actually interact with one another instead of just fully relying on the mirror tool! Also the rockets are great but they really just came off overbearing in the last one, so... into the background you go.
I could keep touching it up but I genuinely spent nearly 8 hours on it and was getting fairly sick of it 💀 I'm going to remake it again at some point anyways!!

THE RED CASQUEHEAD BEAR
NATXANTSIN - MAGNUS FODIENS MONTANUS
The Red Casquehead Bear is a Pandoran predator, found in the Spires of the Clouded forest. The beasts are commonly seen traveling alone, or in mated pairs along the Circling Peaks biome.
Their common prey consists of both moonscarab and kite manta eggs and their young, fish, and echo stalker meat. The casquehead bear uses its leaf-like whiskers to sense the faintest shifts in the air and to locate potential prey. When having located a burrowing echo stalker den, the casquehead bear has been observed to mercilessly dig its way into the mouths of the burrow, and use its great claws to try and exhume the inhabitants. Even when faced with the echo stalker's aggression, the casquehead's tough facial plating negates most attempts at trying to deter the beast.
As the creature matures, its coloration shifts to more deep and vibrant colors, much like most Pandoran fauna. Mature individuals can be identified easily by the vibrant rust-colored mane upon their shoulders - the species' English namesake.
Unlike most Pandoran fauna, the red casquehead bear doesn't exactly use its second pair of forelegs for movement. The pair is mostly used for finer coordination whilst hunting or gathering, and for carrying their young. The limbs can essentially lock in place - not unlike the Terran sloth - and create a sort of cradle along the soft underbelly and strong chest of the beast.
The Ke'awa Kame'tire clan holds the beast in great regard. Hunting it is seen as an almost ritualistic occasion, and cause for great celebration amidst the clan. The red casquehead bear's titular mane and faceplates were commonly used in ritualistic occasions and ceremonies, though with the rise of the RDA, the materials have been rather crafted into vestments for accomplished warriors. When coming across a hunter who carries cloth with the casquehead's mane, it is customary to greet them with crossing one's arm across one's chest - imitating the casquehead carrying its young.

Megalosaurus (1850s) and Megalosaurus (modern) polymer clay sculptures
The Megalosaurus was the first dinosaur to ever be named, we’ve known about it almost as long as paleontology has existed. Despite this, however, it is still quite poorly known with how few fossils of it that have been found. Both reconstructions are based heavily around educated guesses, though with about seven more decades worth of research under their belt, modern paleontologists have a much better idea of Megalosaurus’ stance and size.
I made these as homework. For a writing class. I’m glad I didn’t have to give them to my professor, I became very endeared to them in the process of creating them. My Crystal Pal <3
