Based off of this post by @/ethan-acfan, I’m doing a headcanon post on what Desmond’s system (basing it off of our own system as well).

(Exomemories are memories that an alter (typically an introject) has that doesn’t align with the body’s memories, but relates to the body’s trauma).

His system definitely formed in childhood (we need more introject/exomemory rep). Likely due to the harsh training and isolation that he endured for most of his childhood.

I imagine that he discovered his system after the whole ordeal with the eye, and I’m personally headcanoning him to be a polyfragmented DID system, meaning that some of his headmates are going to be a bit more fragmented than most, and his past headmates likely fused due to his time in the animus.

I could also see him splitting introjects based off of other individuals within his ancestor’s memories (such as Leonardo, Cesare, Achilles, Shay, or other assassins or templars that impacted his ancestors lives. Or people like Clay or even Minerva.)

The exomemories of his headmates would likely be borderline indistinguishable from his own thanks to the bleeding effect intensifying dissociative barriers.

Despite everything, his innerworld would likely resemble the ‘Farm’, since his brain would crave the familiarity of his childhood.

Now, I’m moving onto alter roles/people I believe would be in Desmond’s system.

Altaïr would be a gatekeeper since he would be one of the first headmates to form via the animus, he would know the most about the system and would’ve likely covered up the system due to the intense stressors (the end of the world) going on in Desmond’s life. Early on, he would’ve likely taken on the role as trauma holder before that role went to Haytham (more on that later).

Ezio is a protector, specifically a social protector, with his role being necessary after assassin’s creed 3 due to the fact that Desmond’s boundaries were disregarded so much (him being left in the animus for around three days). He would likely be an ANP and hold the least amount of trauma, allowing him to be a cohost along with Desmond to be the second most active fronter.

Connor would be a caretaker, hands down. If you've played the homestead missions, you know what I mean. He would be one keeping the system running, especially if there's a bad dissociative or depressive episode happening.

Haytham would've split soon after Lucy's death and Desmond going through his memories in the animus, with a part of Altaïr splitting off and fusing to him. He is the 'main' trauma holder in the sense that he hold the most.

Edward is the only who didn't directly split from the animus, instead splitting from Desmond doing research (and Haytham getting upset about his father). Edward would be another protector with a focus on the physical aspect of it. He would also be the most ‘source divergent’ compared to the others.

Moving on to the non-ancestor introjects; I imagine he would split Leonardo Da Vinci (Soother), Claudia (Roleless), Charles Lee (Prosecutor), Malik (Minor Gatekeeper), Shay (Protector/Persecutor), and Achilles Davenport (Protector).

Finally, Desmond would be the main host, however he wouldn’t be a core since he would’ve likely gone through other headmates fusing with him. He’s just another alter in the system.

Finally, onto some gerenal system headcanons

I feel like Connor would be the most dysphoric about the body.

Haytham isolates the most out of the other headmates (due to how he acted in his 'past' life). He doesn't want to burden the rest of system with issues he feels he can handle on his own.

Charles Lee would’ve split around the time Connor did, and in system, the two would not get along.

Altaïr is the closest to Desmond, being one of the first to appear when Desmond discovered the system (calling him an idiot), and helping him learn the ropes.

Multiple headmates (Haytham and Charles do this the most) have tried to shut the system out in order to be 'normal', though either Connor or Ezio try and make sure neither isolate.

The goal of the system would likely be to intergrate and healthily exist as a system.

Charles tends to cause the most issues outside of the system (picking fights with Shaun is his favorite activity), and Altaïr tends to front with Charles to make sure nothing too badly happens.

Shaun and Rebecca would probably take on the role as sorta therapist until Desmond can get an actual therapist.

If Clay were in the system, he would likely be in a subsystem with Desmond due to the relationship they had in the animus.

Each headmate has different ways to refer to each other

^ Altaïr, Malik, Haytham, Shay, and Achilles use parts

^ Desmond, Edward, Ezio, Connor, and Claudia use alters/headmates

^ Charles uses brain parasites

Assassin's Creed characters as demon slayers or maybe upper rank demons? 👀 what would be there breathing techniques? Blood Demon art??

There was a Demon Slayer x AC crossover idea here before but I can’t find it anymore. That one was more or less Assassins doing their own thing as an ally of the Demon Slayer and the Hidden Blade being made from scarlet crimson iron sand and scarlet ore (technically the brother of the nichirin sword)

So, for this one, let’s talk about what breathing style each main Assassin would have if they did learn Breathing Styles. Of course, Desmond gets the complicated backstory because it’s me XD

I will also only use the official breathing styles because, if I don’t impose this restriction, I’d be making new breathing styles here and there. (like, yeah, Edward uses Water Breathing but, if I truly wish to be accurate to his personality, he’d have created his own version and named it ‘Storm Breathing’ or something similar)

Altaïr: Thunder Hashira

Thunder Breathing which is the same breathing style that Al Mualim and Umar Ibn-La'Ahad had and he was trained by Al Mualim personally. Al Mualim passed the Thunder Hashira title to Umar who died while fighting an Upper Rank Demon. Altaïr later becomes the Thunder Hashira due to an opening later on. Kadar is his tsuguko while Malik is the Stone Hashira (the fact that his brother decided to be someone else's tsuguko is a very overly 'used' gossip in the Corps).

Ezio: Water Hashira

Water Breathing as the rest of the Auditore family. Claudia actually morphs her breathing style to Flower then to Insect and became the Insect Hashira. He used to be Federico’s tsuguko until a certain incident occurred that made him take the Hashira mantle from his brother.

Ratonhnhaké:ton: Wind Hashira

Wind Breathing that he learned from a retired Demon Slayer named Achilles Davenport. He’s looking for a certain demon that may or may not have killed many of his villagers, including his mother. All he knows was the fire of his village was snuffed out by the Blood Demon art of an Upper Rank Demon.

Desmond: technically Hinoto but his abilities can reach a Hashira level… it’s complicated.

Sun Breathing but he always denies it. As far as he was concerned, he uses a mix of Thunder, Water and Wind Breathing and just... wings it most of the time. He’s barred from being promoted by the current mentor, William Miles, until he accepts his mother’s ‘legacy’.

Edward: (If he’s dead due to canon, he used to be in the running of Water Hashira, if he’s still alive, he’s Ezio’s tsukugo)

He mostly used Water Breathing but a bit… ‘fiercer’. He’s on par with a Hashira but cannot take the title because an Auditore was the current Water Hashira. He learned Water Breathing from a dear friend of his that he lost to the demons before the Auditore took him in.

Arno: Hinoe

I sooooo want him to have Love Breathing but I cannot, in good conscience give it to him so Flame Breathing it is, lol. Formed a three-man team with Evie and Jacob since they all took the Final Selection at the same time and joined forces. Their team has the worst/best luck ever, getting in between Upper Rank demons versus Hashira and/or, strangely enough, Desmond Miles, at times.

Evie: Hinoe

She developed her father’s Wind Breathing to Mist Breathing. She’s aiming to be a Hashira like her late father, the Wind Hashira before Ratonhnhaké:ton. She’s very by the book and tends to argue with her twin brother with Arno playing referee and unpaid councilor.

Jacob: Hinoe

Beast Breathing. Okay, hear me out. He doesn’t have the same ‘quirk’ as Inosuke but he modified his father’s teachings from Wind Breathing to Beast Breathing, more to show how different he was from his father and twin sister. He doesn’t really care about being a Hashira and just wants to save people. He has a strained relationship with his sister, especially after their father’s death.

Bayek: Flame Hashira

Known only as Amun in records, he tried to learn his wife’s Sun Breathing but could not fully master it, instead creating the Flame Breathing as a way to honor his wife’s skills as well as show how he made the breathing style his own. (whether he is the first Flame Hashira and has long passed, a retired Hashira, or a current Hashira would change who Aya is. If he is already dead, Aya is actually the first Sun Breathing swordsmaster who taught the first generation. If he’s still alive, Aya is one of two people who know and use Sun Breathing, the other being Desmond’s mom who died when he was young.)

Basim: Tsuchinoto

Uses Serpent Breathing style after learning the basics from Roshan. Technically, one of the newbies but he’s had been in a lot of close calls with demons. He’s being hunted by a demon he calls ‘djinn’ who is actually his childhood friend turned demon Nehal. He has a pet snake called Midgardsormen and travels with a wolf-dog named Fenrir. His Kasugai Crow is named Hel.

Bonus:

Kassandra and Eivor are more on the side of Tamayo and Yushiro with Ikaros/Synin being their Chachamaru. They have their own agenda concerning the demons and may be demons themselves... maybe.

(of course, their Muzan Kibutsuji would be Juno XD)

Terrible Screenplay Ideas: "Heavy is the Crown: A Benoit Blanc Mystery" Partly through their road trip to purchase a rare 1st edition book from a seller across the country, Benoit Blanc and his husband Philip are cursed with a breakdown in their car. As they wait for it to be repaired (and Blanc tells the seller what happened) they find themselves in the normally quaint and small town of Aquinas: now home to its annual enormous LARP "Knights and Knaves", where players from across the world come to live as kings, queens, nobles, peasants and knights in a game of deceit and merriment! Every hotel is booked out, but Benoit and Philip manage to get a room with local boy Warren (Adam Scott), who is actually one of the Games Masters for the LARP, in what will be his final year running this. Philip finds the whole affair delightful, Blanc is more perplexed, and Warren invites them to come along to see the game in action. Blanc plays the court jester "Jingle Bottom" and annoys Warren by figuring out all of his plots when he reads the notebook and simply not understanding "it's MAGIC!", forcing him to concoct better ones, whilst Philip finds himself swept up in the entire affair, Lords and Ladies alike swooning over him. Warren turns up dead in the woods, slain by an errant blade to the chest. Local Sheriff Coburn (Margot Martindale) is quick to write it off as an accident: a case of why one should never play with fake blades. But Blanc is obsessed: he knows that Warren was careful with his blades in the short time he met him, having preferred "magic" in combat, besides which as a Gamesmaster he would never be allowed to participate in combat. Besides, Philip really wants to see how the court would deal with the encroaching threat of the Lord of Darkness... So a murder investigation ensues!

They must navigate both the politics of the fantasy court (all in upheaval after King Winterbloom spurned the alliance with Lady Davenport, before a war with the Lord of Darkness no less!) and the private real lives of the players involved, to find out who killed Warren and why... Plus he really wants to get his car finished so he and Philip can collect that book... Suspects include! 1. King Darius Winterbloom, A.K.A "Clive Bennett" (Sean Bean), by day a labourer who came here to support his step daughter years ago until she passed away from leukemia and he kept going. In game he is the pragmatic and harsh ruler of these kingdoms, holding them together by any means necessary, and feeling his rule slipping... He actually would rather just chill out with a beer and go fishing, but Warren had warped the game and made it a shadow of what it was, defiling his step daughter's memory and why he played to begin...

2. Lady Davenport, A.K.A Claudia Perriwinkle (Jenny Slate) is the leader of the elves, and recently found herself humiliated in front of the court. Warren had been uncercutting her in game and is also her ex, having humiliated her in front of everybody, but she insists she had moved on from him. Outside of the game she is a supposed "tough alt girl" who hides it from her friends and crew.

3. Jeremy Mallard (John Magaro) is formerly a great and noble knight in the game, brought low by Warren's games and trickery, and who used to be best friends when he played D&D with him. The guy's having a terrible life in and out of game: his girlfriend left him and his character has become a joke, a bum and a drunk, and with Benoit here he can't even be the jester anymore.

4. Estella the Dark Elf (Stephanie Hsu) is one of Warren's exes, and they broke up in an exceedingly ugly manner. A popular player, she has now gone rogue and seeks to prove that she is great and charismatic even without a games master as a boyfriend, and she holds sway over many new and younger players, making her own fun.

5. Lord and Lady Sebastian and Sylvia Diamondfern (Randall Park and Ali Wong) are the loyal, diplomatic heads of the court and those who are the trusted council of King Winterbloom despite differing views, and the stable political forces who keep this place going. Unfortunately in real life, Duncan and Janet are having marital problems and bickering all of the time, having to keep up this act, and are thinking of getting out of the game altogether, but for the players who rely on them. Their bickering is starting to slide into the game too... They were (in character) among the last to see him alive, and Warren had been pestering them a lot in their normal jobs about the game, and knew them both from university. He was starting to get annoying, and they did both share secrets with him...

6. Melinda the Dreaded (Myha'la) is a fellow Games Master named Denise, who idolised Warren and was happy to be here, but all of her ideas were stolen by the man, who was soon to publish his new book based on all of her work. She was also the real brains behind the game.

Other suspects come into the fray, but Blanc must not only solve the mystery but keep the whole thing from bubbling over into the real world as the game tries to limp on to its epic conclusion...

I don’t think you could say she’s ever been embarrassed in her life, there’s not a lot that she won’t do if it means she’s got a good story to tell. She got her doctor of physical therapy (DPT) degree only within the last year, having gone straight to college after high school for it. And, yes, she’s fully aware getting this kind of a high paying gig is entirely from family connections but that being said she’s a walking wikipedia page for health concerns and how to fix those aches and pains from taking countless bumps in the ring.

CONNECTIONS- 

Brother- @dripgcd  you will very rarely catch Claudia being sappy about Colby, they have a relationship that is built on friendly bullying and sibling banter but the love she has for her brother is unmatched. she can give him a hard time, in fact that’s her favourite past time activity but if anyone else was legitimately coming for him? that would be the end right then and there. she looks up to colby, she always had, he was her hero growing up. still is (she won’t admit it)  

Boyfriend-  @mcxley  Her brothers best friend, of course. Claudia had a little crush on mox since The Shield days, keeping it lowkey till years later. But the older she got, especially after getting work within the same industry, the less subtle she was about this attraction. Although it was all physical at first, Claudia having no desire to get back on the dating scene it kinda just fell in to place the more they hung out. They just made complete sense.
