Got any HCs for side characters - Miette, for instance? XD
Is it bad I totally forgot who Miette was for a second? Like legitimately drew a total blank before I remembered. Ironically enough, my series rewatch is finally taking me to XY tonight, so this is another excellently timed ask!
Miette and Serena have a relationship that really parallels Ash and Gary’s: they start off as super intense rivals who aren’t always very nice to each other, but they ultimately grow a lot closer and become much more friendly rivals...and good friends, even. While Miette continues to participate in Pokemon Showcases, she eventually puts a lot more of her focus on her baking and ends up opening her very own bakery that specializes in really unique Poke Puffs.
A few other side character headcanons I have:
-As an adult, Todd Snap is a well renowned Pokemon photographer, but he also serves as the Ketchum family’s official photographer, taking portraits and other photos for the family (he took the kids’ first official photos and does their Christmas card every year!)
-Khoury becomes an apprentice of Professor Elm’s while furthering his studies as a Pokemon breeder and ultimately works as a Pokemon professor who specializes in the care of Pokemon. Lyra, meanwhile, becomes a cultural representative for the Johto region and travels around with Khoury teaching people in other regions about Johto’s Pokemon and unique sights. As adults, they are married and have two children, Alastair and Giulia. Alastair goes on to become a travelling companion of Kady (Dawn and Kenny’s daughter) and Chase (Zoey and Candice’s son).
-Tierno and Shauna open up a dance studio in the Kalos region together that caters to both people and Pokemon. They too eventually get into a relationship and marry, having two sons (TJ and Shawn) who are battlers that utilize dance moves (just like Tierno). TJ also happens to have a massive crush on Clara, Serena and Clemont’s daughter.

LADY GAGA LEAVES HOTEL IN ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
Yesterday, Lady Gaga was spotted leaving the Plaza hotel for a second time in a romantic all-black ensemble. Check out what she wore right after the jump!
Tumblr media
This time, the fashionista opted for one of the final looks from Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook.
The show-stopping voluminious gown is made of swathes of black Chantilly lace that forms a close-fitting corseted bodice, A-line skirt and Watteau back.
Tumblr media
Her frames are the On 01 black acetate sunglasses by Korean eyewear label Gentle Monster.
Tumblr media
We also got some beautiful bijoux! Gaga rocked these stuuuuunniiing Erickson Beamon Knights Swarovski crystal and glass pearl earrings.
Tumblr media
Our girl wore Ana Khouri’s Maia 18kt white-gold ring with round-cut claw-set diamonds totalling 2.73ct.
Tumblr media
She also rocked her Edward Avedis Clara eternity style, shared prong diamond band with 2mm diamonds hand set in 18kt rose-gold ($1,800).
Shop:
Edward Avedis “Clara” Ring ($1,800.00)
Tumblr media
Gaga accentuated her waist with this Alexander McQueen thin black calfskin leather geometric belt with brass hardware ($390).
Tumblr media
A little bit of vintage never hurts, especially if it’s Saint Laurent when Tom Ford was the creative director!
Gaga carried the black velvet Mombosa bag with thick and textured silver handle embellished with large rhinestones ($1,500). She got hers from ARCHIVE. Make sure to check out their website!
Shop:
Saint Laurent “Mombosa” Bag ($1,500.00)
Tumblr media
The Jimmy Choo Abel black satin pointed-toe pumps provided the finishing touches.

Gitai’s Elegiac and Abrasive Letter to a Friend in Gaza Strikes a Nerve
Gitai’s Elegiac and Abrasive Letter to a Friend in Gaza Strikes a Nerve
Review: World Premiere of Letter to a Friend in Gaza  Spoleto Festival USA By Perry Tannenbaum
Tumblr media
A rarity in the US, anti-Israel theatre pieces are nothing new in Europe – more than a couple were running when I first visited the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005. So it wasn’t surprising to me that the artistic team for the world premiere of Letter to a Friend in Gaza were flying in to Spoleto…

More updates, wooo
As you can probably tell, more changes are coming because I’m indecisive as ever lol. Most of these changes revolve around the Johto region because I haven’t been happy with the family dynamics.
So, with that being said, here’s what I’ll be up to:
Changing Ethan/Silver back to Silver/Lyra. Not a big deal because SoulSilverShipping was the original pairing I had before I considered doing Ethan/Silver and Khoury/Lyra. Since I’m not as thrilled with those pairings anymore, and kinda regret splitting my Johto OTP up, this is getting fixed. All that means is Clara, Piper, and Lute will be siblings again, so nothing major changes. (Oh and that means getting rid of “Silver being transgender solely for having a biological baby.”)
Khoury might get paired with Macy, a Johto trainer that appeared in the anime. This will get proper development at a later date.
Ethan might get cut entirely from the AU due to these changes, as he was included solely to give Silver a partner. Or I could do Ethan/Whitney, but nothing is set in stone yet.
Also, small update for Sinnoh! Reggie and Maylene will be getting two more kids, Penelope and Jordan.
I think that covers mostly everything. I’ll update again if anything changes!

Baghdad Central is a UK-made crime thriller TV series released in 2020. Alice Troughton, who we know from TV shows like Doctors, Merlin, and The Flash, is the director of the Baghdad Central, based on Elliott Colla’s novel, released in 2014. The series’s cast includes actresses such as Waleed Zuaiter, Bertie Carvel, Clara Khoury, Leem Lubany, Corey Stoll. The first season of Baghdad Central, produced by Euston Films, aired on Channel 4 on February 3, 2020. The production, which was also shown on Hulu TV, gained the chance to be watched on many platforms. Viewers are curious after the months that have passed. Has the series been renewed for a second season? What awaits us in a possible second season?1 Baghdad Central Season 2 Plot2 Will there be a second season of Baghdad Central?Baghdad Central Season 2 PlotHow will Baghdad Central, whose first season is so popular, will appear before the audience with the second season? The audience very much appreciated the series in many ways, and its second season is eagerly awaited. For you, we have examined how Muhsin al-Khafaji’s story will go in season two.The show is an international crime drama and was liked by the audience. What can this series, which is presented to the audience in 6 episodes in total, offer the audience in the second season? We predict that the second season will tell the story of finding lost US coins. With the logic that there is crime wherever there is money, the second season can focus on this. Muhsin al-Khafaji, who collaborated with Frank Temple in the first season, may deal with politicians in the second season, which may be a subject of the series. In the last episode, Muhsin al-Khafaji understood that he had to get his family out of Iraq. Help came to them from an unknown source. We can see what this resource is in season two. At the same time, Muhsin al-Khafaji can deal with the lost $ 4 billion. It will be a season where we will see the story of trying to save his family and trying to find the money. We will see what happens to his daughter Mrouj, who is fighting kidney disease, except for his missing daughter Sawsan, and how their father will manage this process. How will his relationship with Frank Temple go? This is another matter of curiosity. The audience wants the second season of this series, which tells about the American invasion of Iraq from Iraq’s perspective. Will there be a second season of Baghdad Central? The series has not yet been renewed for a second season. The first season reviews of the series were above average. But we cannot say the same things about the numbers of viewers so far. According to Radio Times; Alice Troughton, the show’s director, tells BFI screens that she needs viewers’ support to have a second season. The director states that the second season is “very possible” if the necessary views can be obtained. There is not yet a renewal and a release date for the series. We will update the situation here with news from Channel 4. However, the average production time can be considered as one year. If the series is renewed for a new season, a new season may occur in the spring or summer of 2021.

Bryce Holt → Madelaine Petsch → Grizzly Bear
→ Basic Information
Age: 59
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Born or Made: Born
Birthday: March 31st
Zodiac Sign: Aries
Religion: Protestant
→ Her Personality To those she is close to Bryce is the fiercest friend you could possibly hope for. On the flip side however she is not someone you want to be on the bad side of. Whilst she can appear polite and friendly to most, if she doesn’t like you you won’t be left with any doubts that she doesn’t. Unafraid of an argument she is always happy to take people who disrespect her friends or whom she simply doesn’t like down a peg or two. In part this is thanks to her temper which can rise up quickly when provoked even a little bit. This doesn’t always appear as explosive as it sounds though and instead can be seen running through every word she says. She has a talent for bitting remarks, sarcastic comments and subtle digs. That same temper though can ebb away as quickly as it rises up, sometimes leaving peoples heads spinning.
She is also an excellent listener, often listening more than she talks. Whether or not this is a good thing will wholly depend on if she likes you or not. If she does like you she will go out of her way to support you and stand by your side through anything. She is also very decisive, making up her mind quickly and following through with the things she wants to do.
→ Her Personal Facts
Occupation: Event Planner at Fields Hotel
Scars: None
Tattoos: None
Two Likes: Designer Goods and The color Red
Two Dislikes: Minimalism and Anchovies
Two Fears: Dying alone and 3rd Degree Burns
Two Hobbies: Floral Arranging and Barre
Three Positive Traits: Loyal, Supportive, Decisive
Three Negative Traits: Catty, Aggressive, Calculating
→ Her Connections
Parent Names:
Adam Holt (Father): Bryce is close to her dad. He is a rancher from Wyoming, and had her on the horse with him since before she could walk. He’s come to visit her a few times since she moved and each time pointed out how much she’s changed since then.
Marianne Holt (Mother): Marianne and Bryce’s relationship cooled down a lot when she became a teenager, and never really recovered. They’ll talk on the phone at Christmas, but that’s it.
Sibling Names:
Alexander Holt (Brother): Alexander is still in Wyoming. He is married with 6 kids and 18 grandchildren. Bryce and Alexander haven’t been close since childhood. He was always meant to take over as the head of their family and as they grew older, they also grew apart.
Minnie Holt (Sister): Minnie is much like Alexander. She is married with 3 kids and has recently had her first grandchild. Bryce and Minnie were close but not as close as she was with Halley. Minnie is always trying to hook her up with single dads or her husbands friends.
Halley Holt (Sister): Halley started riding in the rodeo circuit. When she reached out, Bryce began flying out to see her shows when she could. Bryce has seen her the most since she moved, and their relationship has gotten stronger in the past few years.
Children Names:
None
Romantic Connections:
Asa Fields (Interested): She kind of expected to hate Asa, based on all of Clara’s complaints over the years, but when she met him there was just something really attractive to her. He invited her out to dinner and she’s accepted, though hasn’t revealed anything to her best friend.
Riley Anderson (Ex-Boyfriend): Riley is an idiot. They dated after he finished college and he had no desire to take them seriously. They lasted for about 6 months before it explosively ended with Clara having to hold her back from attacking him. Riley avoids coming to the hotel now when she is working, for good reason.
Platonic Connections:
Patrick Perry (Boss): Patrick is the general manager and oversees all the employees at the Fields Hotel. They generally get on well, but she doesn’t really respect him or his authority. If she wants something she’ll go over his head to Clara.
Eliza Meyers (Friendly): She likes that Eliza takes no prisoners and thinks she is competent. They actively disagree when it comes to Clara and their squabbles over it usually end in a vague “you don’t know everything...”. Like Bryce however, Eliza’s anger ebbs and flows and they’re usually back to normal with one another when they speak next.
Taye Black (Friendly): Taye usually keeps to himself but Bryce has been trying for years to see what everyone in their clan sees about him. He is always quick and to the point with her but she has seen him smooth talking or chatting up other members. Bryce is unsure if it’s her or something else.
Clara Fields (Best Friend/Boss): Clara is Bryce’s best friend. Bryce was brought over in an exchange program with other Grizzlys in order to refresh the gene pool. She resented the hell out of her parents and Clara for treating her like a walking baby maker. She spent the first 6 months in Chicago trying to get sent home, acting out in every way possible, pissing off everyone possible, especially the Board Members. Finally Clara called her out on it. She made her sit down with a whiskey and they spent hours talking. She had to fess up to what she was feeling, but was surprised that Clara offered her own struggles in return. Their relationship changed that day, especially when Clara clarified she wasn’t looking to match her off to the next guy who walked in. Their friendship grew and when she could have had the chance to go back to Wyoming, she stayed.
Maya ‘Flower’ Hanes (Friend/Teacher): Maya is a chlorokinetic, and Bryce’s flower arranging teacher. Initially it began with Bryce purchasing floral pieces for events at the Fields Hotel, but their equally acerbic personalities blended well with one another's, and she asked for lessons a few months into their friendship. Flower has an eye for design and has similar taste to both Bryce and Clara; as a result all of The Fields Hotel’s arrangements are now under Flower’s care.
Samir Khoury (Herbalist): Bryce mentioned some of her anger issues to Flower, and she brought up Samir’s shop. He’s made her a combination of loose teas. Bryce isn’t totally sure it isn’t just pulled up weeds, but it is working for her.
Hostile Connections:
Cece Mist (Hates): She doesn’t see where Cece gets off at demanding to be changed, and then bringing in her mommy and her money to fight the battle for her. If the reasonable concerns that Clara brought up were addressed, she knows that Cece would have been changed eventually. Now, if she was in the Board’s position, she’d refuse to change her out of spite.
Latasha Mist (Hates): Latasha is a perfectionist. Bryce has had to work with Latasha and her company, Techine for a few events held at the hotel. They would often bump heads and it would eventually lead to Latasha taking full control of the event planning or sending over her assistant to do it. Latasha finding out about the supernatural has made everything worse. She insists on Bryce and the other planners on using their strength or speed for all of her hotel needs now.
Sam Thompson (Hates): Sam is a smug, vindictive and cynical asshole who believes he’s entitled to everything he touches or simply wants. Bryce refuses to bow down to him or to hold her tongue whenever he makes off handed comments about Clara. Bryce knows Sam would make a horrible leader.
Jalen Martinez (Annoyance): Bryce's annoyance with Jalen is purely because of Cece and Latasha. Her hate for them is boiling over to Jalen and it shows.
Pets:
None
→ History (paragraph(s) on background) → The Present (paragraph(s) on how the character connects to the plot)
→ Available Gif Hunts (we do not own these)

@medinaquirin  tagged me for a wip meme: post the first line of your current WIP then tag as many people as there are words.  And of course the current wip I’m trying to get myself to finish just happens to be a request that has a long first sentence...
The burn begins to ebb, or maybe that’s what Clara wants to believe.
I don’t... I don’t think I can tag that many people.  How many writers do I know? If you don’t have a wip right now and I tagged you, I’m sorry, it’s just that my sentence is like 13 words long which is ridiculous. Why do I use words so excessively? (I mean, it’s not actually bad, but still, it makes this difficult.) @elloette @agentmarymargaretskitz @giveshangchihisownshow @writertobridge @thesolutionismoredragons @nothingeverlost @dctrose @besiderunningwaters @ishtarelisheba @ana-khouri @antennapedia @marvella15 @thatexactleaf
