LMAO yeah there's actually been three instances where Warrior Cats made fetuses into StarClan characters. We're joking about Moonpaw's absorbed fetus twin (Starpaw/The Voice) meeting with Clear Sky's first dead wife's unborn kids.

The first time they did this was in the last book of DOTC, on Gray Wing's deathbed. Bright Stream, last seen in early pregnancy and being carried off by eagles to be gruesomely eaten alive, shows up accompanied by Tiger Tail and Pale Sky. Her embryos.

Because they show up in this big fanservicey montauge of all DOTC's fridged wives happily living as eternal mothers in StarClan, I sardonically call them the Dead Angel Fetus Children.

(It's dark humor to cope with how much the concept freaks me out)

And with Moonpaw, I have to explain how fusion chimerism works.

There are a few types of chimeras, but when a single individual is created from the combination of two fully fertilized zygotes, that is called fusion chimerism. That's what Moonpaw is.

And you have to understand, we're talking zygotes as in cells. The fusion of haploid gametes. NOT embryos (developing major organs) or fetuses (has major organs). When multiple embryos or fetuses are detected during pregnancy, but one vanishes, that is called Vanishing Twin syndrome (VTS).

There is actually very little linkage between VTS and the chance of a baby being born with fusion chimerism. At best it's an overstated link. At worst, it is a general misconception of Vanishing Twin syndrome.

Fusion Chimeras can happen in a lot of different ways, most of them fertilization errors, very few of them involving the multiple embryos of VTS. Likewise, the vast majority of VTS cases do not result in fusion chimeras. I explained Chimerism in-depth over in this post, and I encourage you to follow my citations to learn more if you're interested.

Sooooo... we're not even talking fetuses for Starpaw and Moonpaw. If they ever were separate, it would have been as embryos at best.

Which means that Moonpaw is haunted by cells that hadn't even developed major organs.

Ergo, we're joking around about how peculiar it is that Supernatural Utero Ghosts have happened thrice.

Figured this would happen eventually, but there were some designs I felt like I *really* needed to update/fix a few things on!

Spottedleaf I realized I forgot the spot on her eye, whoops-

While drawing Willowpelt I knew that she was definitely way too dark to be considered "pale gray" so I decided to adjust her colors and make her lighter to more accurately portray how she looks in canon but I'm not sure if I like it more than her original design? Either way, here's a more canon design for Willowpelt if anyone prefers this over the original

And finally Yellowfang who funnily enough... I forgot to make her teeth yellow... truly my biggest shame as a Warrior Cats fan... anyways- I fixed it lol I'll probably have more of these in the future as time goes on since there are *so* many characters in this darn series I'm bound to forget something else or go back on a design choice I made eventually plus there are some cats from my earlier batches that I want to redraw completely (mostly Henry because he just looks WAY too wonky for me to leave as is, Rusty maybe, and I think I want to make some minor adjustments to Bluestar's anatomy?)

my alaska clans don’t really have any notable naming conventions because cats interchange clans a lot (and i named everyone before i really thought about naming conventions lol) except that nicknames are sorta built into their society. since cats tend to have long names friends/family and clanmates tend to use nicknames more often in casual and familiar settings. nicknames can be just a cat’s prefix (loon as nickname for loonshadow) but can also be shortened or simplified further to a single syllable of the name (gray for graylingblaze or hem for hemlocklight). they can also end up as an abstraction of certain sounds in the name that warps into new sounds (rizi for horizonshine, pronounced “ree-zee”, etc). all cats end up with a nickname eventually, sometimes multiple, it’s kind of like a first name/surname situation in which the full prefix-suffix name acts as a more professional surname.

Also, Wei Ying also repaid his debt to Jiangs clan by being the only one who lived up to Jiangs clan's motto and found value in those value from his former clan...

But of course being an obedient slave with no moral and value from his own clan is definitely the best way to repay the debts and perform filial duty to the clan that took you in.
